McCain hits Obama over Hamas endorsement

Little Rock, AK — Despite criticism from his Democratic rival, Sen. McCain defended his campaign’s use of Obama’s endorsement by the Hamas terrorist group for political purposes and attacked him for being “very lacking in experience on national security issues.”

“It is just a fact that apparently the North American spokesperson is endorsing Senator Obama. People can make their own judgment from that,” McCain said at a media availability today, referring to comments made by Ahmed Yousef, a top Hamas adviser

Yousef told WABC Radio on April 13 that, “we like Mr. Obama, and we hope that he will win the election. I do believe he is like John Kennedy, a great man with a great principle.”

McCain was first asked about the endorsement during a conference call with bloggers today where he said,
“I think it is very clear who Hamas wants to be the next President of the United States…if Senator Obama is favored by Hamas, I think people can make judgments accordingly.”

The McCain campaign has previously used the endorsement as part of a fundraising appeal.

Obama has condemned Hamas and never solicited the “endorsement,” and an Obama spokesman today accused McCain for use of “the politics of association and…claims he knows not to be true to advance his campaign.”

“This type of politics of division and distraction, not only lead to a campaign not worthy of the American people, but also has failed to help our families for too long,” added Obama spokesman, Hari Sevugan.

McCain continued to defend the remarks aboard his campaign bus Friday where he reiterated to reporters, “I didn’t bring it up. I was asked about it And he does have the endorsement…am I supposed to deny that? I don’t think so.”

He also took aim at Obama on foreign policy, attacking him for his intention to hold diplomatic talks with Cuban and Iranian dictators, among other issues.

“Those are issues and I will continue to talk about them, and they’re important to the future of this nation because…he is very lacking in experience on national security issues. And I disgree with him from wanting to sit down with the President of Iran, to sit down with Raul Castro, to wanting to set a date to leave Iraq immediately,” McCain said. “So anybody who believes that questioning his judgment on national security issues is not a big issue, as far as the judgment of the American people are concerned, obviously don’t share my view about it’s importance.”

anyone from the upcoming election states should go to http://www.larrysinclair0926.wordpress.com and print out a load of these flyers(on the right hand side of the page under FLYERS on that website) and hand them out to everyone you see. There are scores of people doing the MSM’s work for them. The people should know the truth. MY GOD……THIS IS AMERICA AND THE MSM IS TRYING TO DENY US THE TRUTH!!!! Please do this for our country..before its too late!!!!

I think John needs to watch out for those who endorsed him. Huckabee drop out of the race months ago endorsed McCain, yet he still stole over 10 percent of his votes in Pennsylvania. I don’t think your Hamas statement will cause Obama 11 percent of the votes anywhere. I suggest you speak out on having Huckabee remove his name from all other primary ballots, that should boost your votes by 10 percent; after all that is what you are trying to do. Right?

Hamas, Castro, Marx, Stalin, all would endorse Obama, no suprise if you watch or read any news at all . Unfortunately, so does half of the American population. Mostly the uneducated or highly educated Communists and Socialist within our population. I prefer to cling to my guns and my religion.

Shame on John McCain. His cowardice in refusing to do battle to defeat the loathsome and vile enemy of America, Obama. McCain has no spine, no backbone, and allows himself to take the place of another that might do battle and defeat this terrorist candidate. If McCain was just going to stand around and sound like Mr. Rogers, when he knows the Democrat Party traitors are out to ruin this country, then he’s an accessory to tyranny.

One thing which is genuinely shocking me on this Hamas support for Obama, is how Obama supporters are coming out and saying that Obama cannot control who supports him. I think they are very sadly missing the point. Of course Obama cannot control madmen who support him. My question is, WHY ON EARTH WOULD A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION WHO DESPISES AMERICA SUPPORT OBAMA? Terrorist certainly do not want to see America flourish. I think we have all witnessed this. So, what benefit would Hamas have from seeing Obama as our president? Is it because they see that his socialist policies would nullify our Constitution and render America, well, un-American?

Hamas, the PLO, the Weather Underground, the Black Panthers, the Presidents of Iran & Venezuela..what a wonderful bunch backing Obama.

Today another Obama campaign leader resigns as he’s noted by the FBI as a person funneling $ to terrorist groups.

>>>>unbelievable! I just got this message::

You might be interested to know my close friend, a writer who lives in London tells
me the Muslims are rejoicing at the prospect of Obama as President. If that doesn’t
speak volumes, what does? I agree that he is getting Arab money. My friend said
they send money to Muslim mosques around the country, including Black Muslims (Farrakhan,
eg.) and then the money is contributed in the name of the members. That’s how
the source of the money is disguised. But the media has given him a free ride and
has put a lid on anything that detracts from his candidacy. My question is WHY?
Any thoughts on why the media is doing it?

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but did Obama said something to the effect of not agreeing with Hamas “tactics”? It makes me wonder what he does agree with Hamas on.

Comment by Khara

Just a note to all, please be careful when using Muslims in a negative light. There are radical Muslims, just as there are radical Chritians, Catholics, Jews, etc. I have known several wonderul Muslim people. Being a Muslim does not make you a bad person. Period. Do not dislike Obama because of what his religion may or not be, his race and other superficial issues. Look at his character and his politics. That is what matters in the position of President of the United States. His politics are terrible. He wants government to “take care” of everyone and every aspect of everyone’s life. He wants bigger government, more social (expensive and full blown bureaucratic with miles of red tape) programs, and higher taxes. That is just to name a few. The religion he choses is unimportant. We need to be careful about putting all Muslims and Arabs into the catergory of terrorist. FDR did that to the Japanese Americans after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. We should learn from history and not make a similar mistake.

I don’t understand it either. Now I will not accuse McCain of being the sharpest tool in the woodshed, but I have a thought. The known is that the dems are having a civil war. By
not taking the fight to them at this point, he could avoid having both of them turn their attention toward him. Stay out of a crossfire as it were. He can take this time to freely campaign and bank cash. I would think an old warrior would rather fight one instead of two.

Crazy thought? Maybe. But just a thought

There is a lot of misinformation on this site. Just a note those who really want to be informed, . . . Everything on the internet is not fact. Everything reported in the media, especially reported by FOX and ABC, should be heavily scrutinized.

Doc Jerome

Where do you get all of the truth from? Perhaps you can show us the light.

Comment by Khara

Doc, do not specify FOX and ABC as the leaders of misinformation. Are you including ABC because they were “picking” on Obama? Are the worst networks, in your eyes, the ones that demand answers and responsibility from your candidate? Is that not fair? In all actuality, there are falsities everywhere you look. I agree with you that you must research and not all you see on the internet is true. However, it is each person’s choice and responsibility to research and discover truth.

Khara,

You must have me confused with someone you know. I have no loyalty to any outdated ideology, especially one as arcane and devoid of innovation as the Republican party. If you are 100% sure of what you speak of when you speak of Hamas, then you should understand the concept of one man’s terrorist organization being another man’s freedom fighter.

OBHAMAS…. Oh, now I get it. Good one

Comment by Doc Jerome

Khara,

Answers to issues is one thing, answering questions of such vital importance as believing in a symbol (the flag) and wearing a flag pin (made in China) are not exactly burning questions serious Americans want answered. Also, the most burning question of all. Is a former pastor (retired) patriotic? The answer to that question is really going to turn the economy around. There is much more, but we’re blogging and curtness is of the essence.

RC,

I guess your next response is to call me unpatriotic. That would be original. LOL

Any peace negotiations in the middle-east will have to involve Hamas. This is why the Republican’s are devoid of leadership now. They are content to hold steadfast to company policy, which was horrible to begin with.

Do you even know what motivates a human to do what is being done. Answer that, and you stand at the threshold of beginning to understand how to solve the problem.

Comment by Khara

Doc, first off, my assumption of your Obama preference goes to this post from above:

LOL. Maybe the leaders of Hamas are tired of dealing with incompetent Americans and see Sen. Obama as a breath of fresh air. After all, he is a better option than John “who are we fighting?” McCain.

My apologies if you feel misrepresented.

Now, as for Hamas, they are slaughtering for religious purposes, not freedom. They oppress people and prefer to see genocide in Israel. I am a Libertarian. I understand the fight for freedom. I do not understand slaughter.

The issues of character that come forth throughout the election are very important. They show character. That is a very big issue for many Americans. I can tell you one thing in reference to your economy jab. Democratic tax increases will not improve the economy.

Comment by Doc Jerome

Barry,

Character does matter, and Sen. Obama is a man of impeccable character. Hillary is strictly a reactionary politician, she will go however the polls tell her is the most popular at the time. That is not leadership.

Comment by Barry

Doc Jerome

I’m having trouble posting as well.

Comment by RC MO.

Doc. Jerome, I can tell that you think you hold all of the worlds answers, and the rest of us need your guidance. I can assure you that is not the case. I have the answer, and I didn`t get it from a liberal who believes the world is stupid. The worl has two types of people. Leaders and followers. Leaders prey on followers to gain what they desire. They seek out the week, and convince them by any means possible that they need them for their own happiness or survival. The downtrodden start to look up to this new found source of security. In doing so, they lose track of who they used to be. They eventually become what their leader tells them to be. When the followers have been beaten down mentally, the leader starts to rebuild his mind. Only with the information he sees fit. Only with the information the follower needs to carry out the leaders goals. Finally, the follower is given a cause to fight for. It no longer matters if the cause is real or false. It`s not his own mind that is thinking for him, it`s the mind of his leader. That is why these people are so called freedom fighters. Thats why they do what they do. It`s plain, old fashioned brainwashing.

I agree with senator McCain. Obama has very little experience. He gives no reference to exactly what or how he is going to make all this changes. Specification is not on his agenda. I see a lot of common in obama and ahmadi-nejad manners: rolling eyes, same look onto crowd, turning head, and moving hands. Same pathos and demagogy. And when people quote them, of course both say that it’s taken out of context. So, they certainly can sit face to face as barak suggested and there will be no misunderstanding between new friends.
hamas, hezbolh, rev. wright and ayers will be a valuable component for this summit. Keeping in mind that obama already well prepared and has an American hatred mind-set for this discussion from his 20 years of experience being near his pastor. This is the only experience he demonstrated so far - hate USA.
Be proud America obama and co. quickly regain respect for you from … Iran etc. Then we’ll see how fast is coming CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN. Remember what happened with shah? There will a minaret in place of freedom tower.

Doc. Jerome, I find it odd that you would be censored now that you have said your peace. I got to answer you, so I don`t know what the problem could be. No matter, your arrogance is thicker than Obama`s anyway.

Comment by Andylit

In reading Doc’s posts, I must conclude that he doesn’t actually believe most of what he is writing.

In general, I have found that those who advocate inclusion of terror groups in the “process” are rarely ever honest about what will actually happen. Given the written and spoken agendas of groups like Hamas and its companion groups, it is not possible for them to honestly participate in any “peace” talks.

The stated goal of Hamas is to wipe Israel off the map. They refuse to repudiate this goal, as Doc and everyone else with half a brain is aware. Past talks with terror groups in the mid east have always ended in the same result. They use the cessation of hostilities to rearm and regroup, then launch against Israel again.

Doc,

You sound like an operative from MoveOn testing out your rhetoric.

Comment by Doc Jerome

Sen. Obama says that negotiating with Hamas gives them legitimacy or bestows state status to them when they are not a recognized government. That is his position, however, he has also said that we should never be afraid to negotiate with our enemies. Regardless of whoever the President is, this fundamental truth will remain, . . . Hamas must be at the negotiating table. He is astute enough to understand this, McCain is not, and Hillary too far off the reservation as it is. He declaration to “obliterate” Iran should they attack Isarel extends the NATO agreement beyond her capacity, even if she were CIC.

BO claims he would not negotiate with Hamas unless they renounce violence.

“We must not negotiate with a terrorist group intent on Israel’s destruction,” Obama said. “We should only sit down with Hamas if they renounce terrorism, recognize Israel’s right to exist, and abide by past agreements.”

Of course, he is more than happy to sit down with Iran. I suppose there is some esoteric difference I am too stupid to discern between the two.

Comment by Doc Jerome

Andylit,

And what is the written and spoken agenda of Hamas? What do you think is their end game? How do you know what I believe and do not?

The piety with which you try to argue specious at best.

Comment by bigtex

Doc

Negotiations take all involved to be willing to act in good faith. Hamas has no history of this, and will never act in good faith.

Comment by Billy

Obama says whatever is the sway of the day. look at how he flipped flopped on the gas bill, lol.

Comment by Billy

Doc,

Groups like Hamas don’t want peace, they will never be happy unless they have it all.

Comment by Doc Jerome

There is a difference between the two, and that still does not change the realities of the respective predicaments. A stable Iraq must have the Iraqis, Iranians, and Americans negotiating together to stabilize the region. Likewise, Israel, the Palestinian Authority and Hamas must work out a peace agreement with help from the US. It is what it is, and no amount of spin or misinformation is going to change the dynamics.

Comment by Andylit

I am of two minds on Iran. No matter what happens, they must be stopped from producing nuclear weapons. The question is how.

We could let Israel do the job, or we could do it ourselves. Or, we may have to do a joint operation. From what I have been reading, Iran has their “research” equipment spread out widely in a variety of hardened sites. It will not be a simple as Israel’s raid on Syria last year.

The problem is not so much what and how, but what will happen afterwards. When we hit Iran, even as a surgical operation, it will change the dynamic in the mid east very dramatically. Iran will likely mine the Gulf and start threatening shipping as they did in the 80’s.

We must be prepared to take a complete gloves off stance afterwards. If we back off, we will lose our advantage. Like it or not, the only thing the Arabs truly respect is force and the demonstrated willingness to use it. That’s why I always laugh when the liberal idiots talk about us losing the respect of people in that region.
