Huck and McCain!

Little Rock, Ark — The Huckabees greeted the McCains at the airport in Little Rock this AM.

“We’re so glad to have you here today,” the former Arkansas Governor and GOP presidential rival said to McCain, as his wife Janet chatted up Cindy McCain.

“I’m so glad to be here,” McCain responded, as they boarded the Straight Talk bus.

McCain and Huckabee are set to spend the day together where they are scheduled to attend a fundraiser, make a pit stop at a local barbeque joint, co-lecture a class at Arkansas Baptist College and hold a press conference this afternoon.

To all who had a problem with Brillo.
White trash is ok.
But not black trash.
Whites is ok in place of Caucasian.
But AA instead of black.
Mangina is ok.
But monkey isn’t.
Bitter gun toting typical white is ok.
But not fairy tale.
Randi Rhodes (who I despise) probably slept with every guy who said hi.
But no mention of men who do the same.
Talk about double standard.
That’s why I mostly just lurk now but once in a while the hypocrisy demands a response

Oh Obama..who art in Chicago
Hussien be thy name
Thy election come
Thy will be done, in Washington as it is in Chicago
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our bitterness, as we forgive them whom cling to thier guns bitterly.
And lead us not into debates about policy
But deliver us from evil
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever
Amen

It is part of the ongoing sexism and misogyny in this primary that Hillary Clinton gets blamed for negativity. It’s the same old game: If a man makes a comment, then he’s being strong and powerful but, if a woman makes a similar statement, she’s being negative. (See Shakesville’s running list of sexist comments made about Hillary. She’s counted 75 so far).

In fact, in response to Obama’s Rovian tactics, the Clinton campaign sent around a quiz with negative statements about Hillary. All twelve came from the Obama campaign or Obama himself.

Negativity?

Who said Hillary Clinton is “literally willing to do anything to win”
Who said Hillary Clinton is attempting to “deceive the American people”
Who claimed Hillary Clinton has a secret 20-year plan to become president
Who called Hillary Clinton a calculating, poll-tested, divisive figure
Who called Hillary Clinton “one of the most secretive politicians in America”
Who said Hillary Clinton’s campaign is “playing politics with war”
Who said John McCain is seen as more honest and trustworthy than Hillary Clinton
Who called Hillary Clinton dishonest
Who referred to Hillary Clinton as “a monster”
Who said Hillary Clinton is “not being straight with the American people”
Who said of Hillary, “The American people are not going to elect a president that they do not trust”
Who claimed Hillary Clinton “consistently” and “deliberately” misleads the American people
Obama has been shielded by his benefactors for over a year. His campaign has gotten away with these relentless attacks against Hillary, yet she is being accused of taking the low road. Americans are finally having their questions answered about Obama’s questionable friends, and Americans are turning off to this media-hyped creation.

One hopes the superdelegates are paying attention to Obama’s certain unraveling

Since we’re swapping Wright prayers and songs, here’s an old patriotic standby, update to meet’s Wright’s message of healing and reconciliation.

God dam*n* America!
Land that I loathe.
Stand beside her
And chide her,
For every misstep that you know.
From the Rezko slum*s

To gun-clinging chum*s
Filled with woe.

As the Wright corpse climbs out of the coffin Big Media/Obama built for him Paul Krugman takes on Obama full force.

A few months ago the Obama campaign was talking about transcendence. Now it’s talking about math. “Yes we can” has become “No she can’t.”

This wasn’t the way things were supposed to play out.

Mr. Obama was supposed to be a transformational figure, with an almost magical ability to transcend partisan differences and unify the nation. Once voters got to know him — and once he had eliminated Hillary Clinton’s initial financial and organizational advantage — he was supposed to sweep easily to the nomination, then march on to a huge victory in November.

Well, now he has an overwhelming money advantage and the support of much of the Democratic establishment — yet he still can’t seem to win over large blocs of Democratic voters, especially among the white working class.

As a result, he keeps losing big states. And general election polls suggest that he might well lose to John McCain.

What’s gone wrong?

DNC Delegate Selection Rules: Florida & Michigan

True or False?

1) The DNC Rules state that pledged delegates elected by Florida and Michigan voters must be excluded because those states scheduled primaries before February 5, 2008.

FALSE: The DNC Delegate Selection Rules explicitly give the Rules and Bylaws Committee and the Credentials Committee ultimate jurisdiction over delegate selection. These committees, each in their independent capacities, can seat the delegates from Michigan and Florida at their discretion.

2) The mandatory penalty for a state holding a primary before February 5, 2008 is exclusion of that state’s delegates from the Democratic National Convention.

FALSE: The mandatory penalty is exclusion of one half of the offending state’s pledged and alternate delegates. Unless otherwise provided, the other half of that state’s pledged and alternate delegates will be seated at the convention.

Not to worry. The democrat party will risk convention chaos, and kick Obama to the curb in lieu of Clinton, who at least has a sporting chance of winning the general election.

From: Ann Lewis, Senior Advisor

Date: April 23, 2008

RE: The Tide Is Turning

Thank you to all of you who have been so important to Hillary and to our campaign! As we discussed on our phone call, here is some material on the Pennsylvania primary results and the role that women played. Please use this information in speaking on behalf of Hillary – remember, you are a powerful messenger!

Women’s turnout went up: Women made up 59% of the electorate in the Democratic primary in Pennsylvania , compared to 53% in 2004.

Women’s support for Hillary continues strong:

Hillary won women 57%-43% in Pennsylvania .

Pennsylvania elected women, such as Lt. Governor Catherine Baker Knoll and Rep. Allyson Schwartz were great advocates for Hillary. Leaders like Congresswomen Stephanie Tubbs Jones ( Ohio ), Sheila Jackson-Lee ( Texas ) Carolyn Maloney ( New York ) and Ellen Malcolm of EMILY’s List came to the state as well.

Campaign events reaching women voters included “Hillary I Know” house parties in the Philadelphia suburbs with longtime friends and advisors to Hillary such as Judy Lichtman, Lissa Muscatine, Leecia Eve and Judith McHale. The campaign also launched a national “Make Change Count” campaign highlighting Hillary’s leadership in working for equal pay – an important economic and fairness issue for women and families.

Want to know what the pay gap is costing you? Click here for our Wage Gap Calculator – and send it to your friends!

Hillary is now ahead in the popular vote:

According to Real Clear Politics, Hillary has received 15,095,663 votes to Sen. Obama’s 14,973,720, a margin of more than 120,000 votes. ABC News reported this morning that ” Clinton has pulled ahead of Obama” in the popular vote. This count includes certified vote totals in Florida and Michigan .

As we look toward the general election in the fall against John McCain, Hillary is the strongest candidate:

She has won Pennsylvania , Ohio , Florida , New Jersey , and California - all key states in the general election - with comfortable margins. Hillary Clinton has shown time and again that she is the strongest Democrat to win these critical states.

Hillary won 60 of Pennsylvania ’s 67 counties, including the rural counties in the western part of the state, blue-collar counties in the northeast and the suburbs of Philadelphia , demonstrating her ability to build support across constituencies.

The economy is the number one issue facing many Americans, and Hillary is strongest on the economy. In Pennsylvania , 55% of voters cited the economy as the most important issue facing the country, and Hillary won those voters by a whopping 12 percent!

She has the support of voters that will build a winning coalition in the fall, including: women, Hispanics, older voters, rural voters, working class voters and Catholics. Hillary is the most likely candidate to hold Democrats’ current advantages and expand the electoral map in the Southwest and in swing states like Arkansas and Arizona .

Your support for Hillary has been so important, and we need to keep going!

Help raise small contributions: Hillary won in Pennsylvania despite being outspent at least 3 to 1. Now, with nine more contests to go, her campaign needs the funds to continue to make her case. If you’ve already contributed as much as you can, reach out to people you know, and ask them to make contributions of $10, $25, $ 50 – smaller contributions add up!

To make a donation, contact us at http://www.hillaryclinton.com . If people wish to contribute who don’t have e-mail access, they can send in their contributions to: Women for Hillary, 4420 N. Fairfax Drive , Arlington , VA 22203

Continue our women-to-women outreach: Indiana and North Carolina votes on May 6. For more information on travelling to upcoming states and to sign up, click here. If you can’t travel, you can make phone calls wherever you are. Go to http://www.hillaryclinton.com/makecalls to get started!

Thank you so much for everything you’re doing. I look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail!

TOGETHER, WE CAN WIN!

That’s a lot of hyperbole. Have you sound reaons to vote FOR Clinton, as opposed to AGAINST Obama?

Seems your reasoning is similar to the Obama acolytes’:

for Obama because he’ black.

for Clinton because she’s a woman.

Not much substance in that.

End of Youtube Video Proves Obama In Church For Hate Speech

——————————————————————————–

Go to the end of the Youtube tape and hear Obama’s words from his book, “Dreams of My Father,” and Pastor Wright’s hate speech on Hiroshima and Sharpsville on the video. It is proof that he was there during the Wright hate speech!!

Obama says, while the boys seated next to him, “were doodling in their church bulletin” Reverend Wright spoke on Sharpsville and Hiroshima!”

This is proof he was there during Pastor Wright’s hate speeches! Obama lied!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lI77cU3jsFs

What would it sound like if John McCain said something like: “A typical black person harbors resentment against whites, sometimes unexplained.” You bet the media would be all over it and his campaign would be finished…

1. Hillary grasps economic concepts: knowledge a president will need in January — given our national debt, job loss, credit crunch, and recession.

2. Hillary has a plan to get us out of Iraq, a plan that the 34 flag rank military officers who endorsed Hillary also find impressive.

3. Hillary has a health care plan that offers the broadest coverage for Americans.

4. Hillary’s Senate committee assignments encompass a wide array of issues — including veterans affairs, education, military issues, labor, health, and the environment — which give her a solid foundation from which to help shape public policy.

5. Hillary understands foreign policy and has dealt with officials from dozens of other nations. This will be useful, as our nation tries to solve problems with nations of the Middle East, Africa, South America, and European.

6. Hillary has broad support among American voters, evinced by her wins in the primaries of big states (e.g., California and New York) and swing states (e.g., Florida and Ohio). In short, Hillary’s in a good position to compete with John McCain.

7. Hillary has demonstrated concern for fellow Americans, starting with her civil rights activities during college and her work during the seven years after college, which she devoted to public service (instead of taking her Yale law degree straight to lucrative arenas).

8. Hillary has broad life experience. As well as public service, she has experience in private law practice and the corporate realm, which gives her the perspective needed to help reconcile our nation’s many competing interests.

9. Hillary has learned how to get things done in Washington, both as a second-term senator and as a First Lady. For seven years, she has worked with members of Congress, some of whom had been venomous to her family. Hillary put aside the personal stuff and worked on getting things done.

10. Hillary is strong, resilient, and tenacious. She has faced more scrutiny and ugly attacks than most politicians, yet she’s still standing. Better than that, she’s still fighting. That’s the spirit a president needs in order to solve the many grave problems our nation faces.

The next president is going to have a hard, nasty slog cleaning up after Bush. Why put Obama through it? He only thinks he wants to be president right now because he hasn’t seen close-up with the job involves. Save him and his glamour and vibrant aura for the next election cycle, after he’s shown that he can stand up to harsh scrutiny as well as Hillary.

Huck and McCain maybe interesting, but how about McCain and Clinton. Afterall, Hillary and John McCain are great freinds. No one could accuse him of not reaching across the isle. This arragement maybe the best way to get our government functioning again and to control Hillary’s health care adjenda. The Dem’s and the Republican’s both win. Nancy Pelosi would be stopped in her tracks, without a cause. But we might just end the obstructionist era and begin to move forward.

*****************************************************************************
You may be right and I think with illegal mexicans it’s more a trespassing issue than an immigration issue because immigration is by definition a LEGAL process and therefore trespassing is just trespassing and it is not immigration. If we burned a few american business people badly for hiring illegals it would really send the right message. ZERO TOLERANCE for illegal trespassers.

Comment by Proudmale

I am comfortable with many, many evangelicals, but Huckabee is not one of them. Given his record I am not sure he will secure the South or bring that much to the ticket. What about Crist from Florida?

Or my personal favorite would be Newt Gingrich. He has a clear vision for the 21st Century and I wish that he had run for the top spot — I would have supported him over Romney. Read his book on Winning for the 21st Century and you too will have a vision of what it will take to govern over the next 20 years.

Remember, Newt gave us the first Contact with America, and I think his second is far better. Give a hoot — pull for Newt!!

Remember America Bill did not want her. Why should we!!!

My big issues are:

1) Knock the cr*a*p out of Al Gore and so-called environmentalists for their false religion, global warming, which any fool can see this transparent fairy tale for what it is.

Enviro lawsuits against every effort by energy providers has a huge impact on fuel and energy costs and adds to the price of all goods and services. They are against oil, natural gas, coal, nuclear and even wind power when the wind mills are planned for their own back yard like Ted Kennedy. Wake up america. Kick an environmentalist in the butt today and every day and tell them your tired of their stupid destructive fantasies. Liberal = Environmental Maniac = Liberal. YOU SUCK ALREADY!
BIO-FUEL instead of food production is stupid and counter productive and unnecessary.

2) Illegal Mexican Deluge. Stop this PROFOUND TRAGEDY NOW!

FACTS WHY BOTH McCAIN & OBAMA WANTS SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON DROP OUT NOW:

Both Obama and McCain knows this.

ELECTORAL VOTES is the most important count in the general election. HILLARY IS FAR MORE AHEAD IN THE ELECTORAL VOTES AS OF THIS TIME.

This is why Senator Hillary Clinton will win this November if she’s the nominee.

That’s why John McCain is insisting to remove the AD in television (FOR NOW) that will deminish Obama’s electability. The Ad reflecting the association of Obama to some controversial figures such as Racist Pastor Jeremiah Wright Jr., Ayers, Rezko, etc., are one of the many reasons why Obama is losing in some states. McCain and GOP knew they can easily beat Obama than Hillary Clinton.

That’s also the purpose of Operation Chaos by the GOP to create a perception in the minds of the Clinton’s supporters, that Hillary is just winning because of this operation to deceive and destroy the faith of those who support the good senator from New York. But in reality this operation chaos is trying to help Obama the weakest candidate in the party and at the same time creating divisions among the democrats. GOP Surrogates are playing with the Democrats and are pretending that they are questioning Obama’s character, but at the same time saying that Senator Clinton has no way to overtake obama in the pledge delegates and popular votes by insisting that MI and FL should not be counted “AS PER DNC RULES”…

Obama also was advised by someone close to GOP people to avoid debating Clinton till after Indiana and NC primaries…(According to Obama Camp hamster/insider…????)

Obama Camp is now arguing that Senator Clinton is the most hated candidate and therefore will lose against McCain. This is included in the GOP plan to paint Senator Clinton as the most Hated Candidate than Obama and therefore can’t win. Right now, the GOP was able to infiltrate the Democrats through “OPERATION CHAOS”. GOP is also “USING RACE CARD” in their favor to create divisions among DEMOCRATS. GOP surrogates (Hannity, Limbaugh, etal.) are reporting any thing that will touch racism especially if it involve anybody from the Clinton Camp and are very happy with the result as of this moment.

DNC LEADERS AND ELDERS must know this facts!

They must call for UNITY A.S.A.P. within the Party before it is too late and
MUST SUPPORT SENATOR CLINTON to win back the White House in this November election.

GOP will be very happy if Obama (the weakest candidate) get the nod by the DNC Leaders.
But they are ready on DAY 1 and all prepared to DESTROY OBAMA if he becomes the nominee.

VOTE SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON ‘08 AS PRESIDENT!!!

Comment by Michael L. Gooch

I really enjoyed the way this article presents the case for possiblity of a McCain/Huckabee ticket. McCain needs the spirtuallity of Huckabee in his campagin but more importantly in the White House. The political world is no different than the business world. The connection between business success and business failure is obvious to those who want to scratch beneath the surface. In my new HR book, Wingtips with Spurs, the longest chapter in the book is devoted to the spirit and the successful career. It also covers the connectiveness of our actions and the important of spiritual wisdom. Anyone with the slightest intellect can see the wisdom of this pairing. Also, as a former resident of Arkansas, I can assure the reader that Huckabee is the real deal. Michael L. Gooch http://www.michaellgooch.com

*** BREAKING NEWS ***

Non-verbal communication experts who study body language are reporting remarkably high numbers between McCain and Huckabee.

In particular they note how McCain holds and sips on his coffee. “Those body language cues, give us a great deal of information on how comfortable he feels talking with Mike Huckabee.”

When compared to other video’’s with other potential VP candidates, Mike Huckabee scores the highest with McCain, coming in at 97.7, some 34 points higher than any other candidate.

This is a remarkably high number on the first meeting between the two after the presidential debates.

Based on the years of body language analysis, the research center is hedging their bets that McCain will pick Huckabee as his running mate. “Normally I wouldnt say that so soon, but since the result is so high, one would have to conclude McCain is extremelly comfortable with Mike Huckabee at his side.”

Dear FOX NEWS,

Why aren’t you all talking about Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s ONE HOUR interview at PBS with Bill Moyers?

I saw the entire interview, I was initially upset that Obama’s pastor was a liability, and why he stayed in that church.

After the interview, I had tears in my eyes, I had to say I felt ashemed by judging Rev. Wright.

IT’S AMAIZING HOW SOUND BITES CAN PAINT A PICTURE SO FAR FROM THE REAL MEANING AND UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT REV. WRIGHT MENT!!!!

The entire country should see it, I’m sure it will be at the Youtube. It’s very healing!

I have to say as a traditional protestant Christian, church going for my entire life, I would LOVE to have a Pastor so intelligent and inspiring as Rev. Wright. PLease see the interview, you will understand exactly what he was saying.

REal chrisians are fair, and recognize when ey are wrong, and we were all wrong to judge Re. Wright, no wonder Huckabee never bad mouthed Rev Wright.
THis is a man who served with the Marines for 6 years, was close to Linden Jhonson, did amaizing work with the community, and the context of the entire sermon regarding the sound bites, made a lot of sense. No wonder Bill CLinton invited him to the White House.

OK,Som we won’t argue but I will state,some known facts,and that’s all I’ll say.
Mr Romney, was voted in as Gov of Mass.as a Conservative, and immediately, caved in to the, left under pressure to support abortion,th Gay agenda, and there were oher issues, but I’m only trying to make a point, and not get into a full blown argument…..The fact that that all changed when He opted to make a run at Pennsyvania Ave,tells me, that at one time or another, He was lying, about where he stood on just these two issues……..Either as Gov.or as a candidate for President…..If you take the stand that He has the right to change his mind, then you have to still ask, wher doe He really stand…..to me telling half truths,is still lying, and that’s not a good example of honesty

McCain has already stated that HuckaBEEN will not be his VP due to him being a big spender, which will not bring in votes from fiscal conservatives.

HuckaBEEN had one of the WORST RECORDS ON ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION UNTIL HE SAW HE’D HAVE TO CHANGE HIS POSITION TO HAVE A CHANCE IN THE Pres ELECTION! Can you say flip-flopper?!
