Hillary in the Oval Office as a visitor to her husband was bad enough. Look at the programs that she worked on. For example, Health Care. She managed to get all of the sides so worked up and confromtational that 20 years later we are still without a workable plan. Even worse, the sides are still polarized.

Reading this blog–I thought for a minute I was at CNN.

Why–should the federal government provide direct support for hurricanes and natural disasters as a standard of practice–until state resources are exhausted? Why should all Americans pay through the nose–because a few stupid people chose to live where they are prone to hurricanes, earthquakes, and tornado’s? And why should all Americans have to bail out other Americans who made the choice not to purchase homeowner’s insurance or flood insurance? Shouldn’t this be left up to the states? Federal assistance naturally should be available–but we’re so centralized now–that states don’t seem to feel it’s their responsibility to have reasonable and appropriate disaster or civil defense programs. Creation of FEMA in it’s current image–was a horrid mistake. Clinton and Obama will both wet-nurse the states and make it even worse.

Just heard voters ages 18 to 45 are voting for Obama. The majority of that age group never experienced war times and never learned how politics work during those times. Could that have something to do with the Totally different points of view of the democrats that I’m reading on these blogs?

Around 5% unemployment is the lowest unemployment rate this country has had in at least a decade, but somehow the Dems are pushing it as excessive or unusually high. A 5% unemployment rate during a slow economy? I don’t applaud the Bush Administration’s high spending, but I’ll give them some credit where it’s due. That’s an acceptably low unemployment rate.

I’m not going to be premature but even the market has been a lot less eratic in recent weeks. The Fed’s moves I believe have been creative and conservative enough to address each issue as it’s come up. Obama’s proposal? 30 billion dollars worth of bail outs for bad home loan borrowers. Typical of the left..reactionary without thinking of the broader consequences. Bail out a few and let the many work it all out later.

Now imagine what unemployment will rise to with Obama’s proposed tough regulation of business and industry and higher capital gains tax etc. It’s an environment for industry to move out of states or the country itself and in turn a far higher unemployment rate (and damage to people’s retirements). Obama is trying to lay a foundation for America to move to socialism regardless of the consequences.
