Clinton NC Director: Win = “Upset of the Century”

Hillary Clinton’s North Carolina director says people in the state are really responding to his candidate — but that she has virtually no chance to win.

“Our goal is to get within single digits,” said Ace Smith, architect of Clinton victories in California and the Texas primary. A win, he said, would be “the upset of the century.”

Smith said Clinton does best in the rural Eastern and Western portions of the state, but said she’d more than hold her own in the cities. So if she’s doing well East and West, rural and urban, why is Obama up by 15 points in some polls?

“He starts really far ahead,” Smith said. “i don’t really know why he starts so far ahead” — though he did cite a large African American voting population in the state, which has gone nearly 90% for Obama in the primaries this year.

Smith says the open primary here works in her favor, since Independents have been trending towards Sen Clinton since early in the primary season. He also argued that while they’re being outspent on the air by a large margin, it doesn’t matter all that much — since the key to winning states in the Brave New World of hi-tech and internet campaigning is, ironically, more face time in the state.

Clinton hinted that she’s committed to that very strategy, telling the crowd at Wake Forest University “I have not spent as much time as I would like in North Carolina, but I am thinking of spending so much time in the next several weeks that I might very well be considered a resident.”

yea i would also expect obama to win because he can count on every black voter to vote for him and everyone knows that blacks make up more than half of the population of north carolina. there is also a big percentage of latinos in north carolina but since most are illegal obama can not count on their vote. Hillary will get the white vote but it is practically worthless since, again, nc is mostly black and because the few whites that live there are bitter and backwoods. i dont even think that thye know how to read. oh well.

GO HILLARY
If obama steals this nomination by blocking FL & MI votes - it will not be legal.
He will never win the general election - he will never be elected President - his background is far too questionable. People of reason can see this - obama supporters cannot or will not - but - it will take more than just the all black vote to become President of the USA.

From “DREAMS OF MY FATHER” book By Barack Obama;

Racist comment #1:
From “Dreams of My Father.” page 229,
“THERE WERE NO CIGAR CHOMPING CRACKERS LIKE BULL CONNOR OUT THERE.” The
use of “cracker” was unnecessary and salacious.

Racist comment #2:
From Dreams Of My Father;
I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY
AGAINST MY MOTHER’S RACE”.
=Gee, who wouldn’t after sitting for 20 years listening to hate in that
alleged church.

Racist comment #3:
From Dreams Of My Father;
“The emotion between the races could never
be pure….. THE OTHER RACE (WHITE) WOULD ALWAYS REMAIN JUST THAT:
MENACING, ALIEN AND APART”

Racist comment #4:
From Dreams Of My Father;
“never emulate white men and brown men whose
fates didn’t speak to my own. IT WAS INTO MY FATHER’S IMAGE , THE BLACK
MAN, THE SON OF AFRICA, THAT I’D PACKED ALL THE ATTRIBUTES I SOUGHT IN
MYSELF.

Racist comment #5:
From Dreams Of My Father;
“That hate hadn’t gone away,” he wrote, blaming white people,- some
cruel, some ignorant, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless
image of a system claiming power over our lives.”

Racist comment #6:
From Dreams Of My Father;
“There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it
came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying
close together, traveling in packs,” he wrote. “It remained necessary to
prove which side you were on, TO SHOW YOUR LOYALTY TO THE BLACK MASSES,
TO STRIKE OUT, and name names”

Racist comment #7:
From Dreams Of My Father;
“I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I
began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites”

Racist comment #8:
From Dreams Of My Father;
After graduating from college, Obama eventually went to Chicago to interview
for a job as a community organizer. His racial attitudes came into play as he
sized up the man who would become his boss. “There was something about him
that made me wary,” Obama wrote. “A little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.”

Racist comment #9:
From Dreams Of My Father;
“To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more
politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist
professors and structural feminists.”

Racist comment #10:
From Dreams Of My Father;
“To admit our doubt and confusion to whites, to open up our psyches to general
examination by those who had caused so much of the damage in the first place,
seemed ludicrous, itself an expression of self-hatred,” he wrote.

Racist comment #11:
From Dreams Of My Father;
Obama’s racial suspicions were not always limited to whites. For example, after
making his first visit to Kenya, he wrote of being disappointed to learn that his
paternal grandfather had been a servant to rich whites. He wrote in “Dreams” that
the revelation caused “ugly words to flash across my mind. Uncle Tom. Collaborator.
House n_gger.”

Racist comment #12:
From Dreams Of My Father;
yet after college, he once fell in love with a white woman, only to push her away when
he concluded he would have to assimilate into her world, not the other way around.

Racist comment #13:
From Dreams Of My Father;
“I learned to slip back and forth between my black and white worlds,” he wrote in
“Dreams.” “One of those tricks I had learned: People were satisfied so long as you were
courteous and smiled and made no sudden moves. They were more than satisfied; they were
relieved — such a pleasant surprise to find a well-mannered young black man who didn’t
seem angry all the time.”

Racist comment #14:
From Dreams Of My Father;
Said his grandmother is a “typical white person” who has fears about black men.

Traitorous comment#1: From ‘The Audacity Of Hope,
“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an
ugly direction.”

Traitorous comment#2
“As I’ve said about the flag pin, I don’t want to be perceived as taking sides,”
Obama said. “There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a
symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know,
the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial
and less bellicose. I like the song ‘I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing.’ If that were
our anthem, then I might salute it.”

The black popultion in this country is only 12% and yet everytime Obama wins, ignorant people like you want to attribute it to black votes only even though you know that that is not possible. How many times more do you have to count every black person’s vote to stretch it so that it can fit your stearotyping that only black ppl vote for Obama.

The only racist are the African-Americans who overwhelmingly support Barack H. Obama.

So do not assume that to be a racist you have to be white….

We do not hate obama, we know he would not be a competent president.

We do not hate obama, we know that he is weak, that he is a girly man.

We do not hate obama, we know intuitively and concretely that he is a deceiver.

But he will not matter for very long because Hillary R. Clinton will win the nomination and then win the general election and become President…..

I disagree with “gotta love hills” since I am from NC and I white blue collar military retired hunter, and the population is a white majority even though its not a large majority and compared to PA yes it does have a bigger latino population, also it is a even blend of college age youth and seniors and a large military population. NC will go for Obama because folks listen to the facts and message and filter out the BS. Folks to get sucked in cutter garbage issues like you wears Flag pins made in China with 37 stars and if you look at Clinton and McCain someone needs to hand them a pin and asked them why are the not wearing it. Has Clinton finally admitted in the last debate that she did lie about her Bosnia trip events and she admitted sha has alot of her own baggage. Obama could have stuck it to her about that and so far he has decided not to open up her volumes of baggage. I still haven’t heard details about all of her self proclaimed 35yrs of experience except for her met and greet trip to Bosnia and her trip to Ireland (which the experts have already said she didn’t do anything there) Now I do thing her trip to China when she talked about human rights is great and I applaud her for that. What about those other 80 trips she wants to take credit for or were they just the standard 1st lady flag waving trips. Also would be very interested in learning about the Clinton involvement concerning the savings and loan blowup that they were right in the middle of. PA does have a few more delagates than NC and if she wins PA by less than 10% then she will lose all those gains when she loses to NC which could be very big.

We need the Clintons back in the white house.
WHY?
Because the economy was good when the Clintons were in charge.
Why?
Because Hillary Clinton has been fighting for the people even when she was not running for president.
WHY?
Because Hillary Clinton has been fighting for Healthcare for everyone for many years.

So America lets put someone in charge who has the experience and no how to run the United States of America the proper way.

Remember when the economy was good there were plenty of jobs?
I know you do. Remember then that time was when the Clintons were running America.

Lets get back to a good economy and jobs for everyone in this great country the USA.

Vote for Hillary Clinton For President!

What is wrong with our way of life? A lot of people have difficult lives. Not everyone looks down on blacks and play them every day. Quit complaining about your lives and do like millions of us do every day endure. Why are people racist becasue they state a fact the black populations has gone for Obama?

Comment by gotta love hills

all the papers, news shows and plls and say that obama gets 90% of the black vote. thats darned close to everybody ya think? and if there are states that are almost all black or darned close to it then it figures that obama would win that state. the other inportant thing to remebr is that black voters ARE democrat not republican whereas white folks, and other races, are both republican and domocrat. so yes, he will win any state that has a huge black population. like nc, sc,ga,miss,alabama etc. he wont win the general however because there are only 12% blacks and even if they all voted for him, the rest of the population wont. obama can not win the presidency and hiallery was right when she said that. deal with it. by the way, she is only down 130,000 in the popular vote. she can catch up and overcome in PA. then the super d’s can side with her because then she will have the popular vote and because she can win all the big states. course this will seriously piss off those obama supporters who are too ignorant to know how the election systemn works . it will only cause them to rise up and claim that the nomination was stolen. it doesnt matter that this is how the process is. his supporters will only look at it as if the whites stole from the blacks. no need in trying to explain, they wont want to hear it or believe it.

When the media start reporting on the Gay sex and crack story, Obama will take a dive in the polls. If the media truly do investigate the Larry Sinclair story, it may actually lead back to the death of the guy from Obama’s church (Donald ?). Obama was refreshing in the beginning, but now that we have heard what little he knows about running this great country, and we now know Hillary has proven she does, Hillary should be the next President.

I hope our intelligent god fearing love of country folks in North Carolina, Pennslvania, and remaining states who still can swing things back to the proven candidate before November will do so and vote for Hillary. She deserves it, she is prepared, she is a fighter and she won’t let you down. No one knows for sure who Obama really is and that could be dangerous. We know Hillary’s baggage and she has done a good job in the senate despite all her critics of the past. Come November the Republicans are going to turn up the heat and I do believe Hillary is the only one that could remain standing, look at what she has faced thru the primary, people like Dick Morris constantly dropping half truths putting distrust doubts in peoples minds. Don’t let these guys do it. Obama needs to pay his dues.

As far as not trusting her, come on people, how many fishermen enlarge the size of the fish each time they tell a story to make it more exciting. If Hillary had lied about something substantive maybe her character could be judged, but embellishing her trip in a war zone a bit. geez!

The one thing I agree, this is Hillary’s last chance and will be up to you good folks that haven’t voted yet with all the power to make it happen and I hope you do.

Just because someone doesn’t vote for Obama doesn’t mean they are a racist. I will NEVER vote for Obama , not because he’s black, but because he has no moral fiber. He’s beginning to show his true self and it isn’t pretty. I love my country and my church which preaches faith and hope and not rantings against our country or white people. I don’t know if Obama will get the nomination, but if we count ALL the votes, Senator Clinton will be ahead in popular votes for sure and possibly electoral votes. If Fl and MI are not counted, I don’t think it is legal. I have tried very hard to give Obama the benefit of the doubt, but I have never heard him give any kind of speech where he really says anything. He hardly ever finishes a sentence without stammering and even changing the subject in the middle of a sentence. Sometimes he seems to be so up and the next time he’s hardly there. Makes you wonder if he isn’t still sniffing or smoking. If he is the nominee there are many, many people who will vote Republican or stay home, 33% of Senator Clinton supporters feel this way. Only 16% of Obamaites would not vote for Senator Clinton, now common sense will tell you who is the best candidate against McCain, and it isn’t Obama.

Obama says he used a “poor choice of words” to
describe economic insecurity in working class
people in America. If this is so, and if he became

words with foreign leaders? The question begs to
be answered; are his statements biased or racially
charged or does he have a downfall of using poorly
selected words? This is much worse than being called
an “Elitist”.

Barry, he plays also politics, ABC got bad wrap, so in next debate am sure the rules are changed.
furtermore still early in campaign, and almost all controvery on the table, so even when its broad up again, its not fresh anymore. FOR MULU : Let’s see the truth come out. The facts and the story::

Larry Sinclair alleges that on 6th and 7th November 1999 in Chicago, Illinois he met Barack Obama for a social evening which included drinks in a lounge, followed by a drive around town in his hired limousine during which Obama supplied cocaine, smoked crack through his own glass pipe while accepting fellatio from Sinclair.

The next day Obama took the initiative to visit Sinclair’s Comfort Inn hotel room in Gurney, Illinois for a “quickie” version of the previous night’s activities. Both men were 38 years of age. Larry Sinclair was on parole visiting for a few days from Colorado. Barack Obama was a member of the Illinois Senate.

These scenes are reminiscent of the Oprah Winfrey’s show in which she featured J.L. King’s book “Men On the Down Low: A Journey into the Lives of Straight Black Men Who Sleep with Men”

The story has produced some newsworthy reactions most of which can be described as a cover-up:

1. A virtual internet and media lynch mob composed mainly of Obama supporters is bent on discrediting Sinclair with allegations about his homosexuality, his convictions for check fraud in the 1980’s and his mental and emotional stability. Part of their dirty tricks is to circulate to the media a forged facsimile of a page for the Washington Post which includes numerous lies about Sinclair and to declare that he was in a mental hospital at the time he said he was with Obama, and to attack his family and neighbors.

A noteworthy participant in the campaign of vilification is Andres W. Lopez an attorney for the Obama campaign in Puerto Rico who is a member of the campaign’s National Finance Committee. He appeared on Puerto Rico’s most popular TV magazine show WAPA TV’s “SuperXclusivo” on April 10th 2008 to denounce Sinclair as a major headache and distraction for the Obama campaign and implied that he was mentally ill and working for the Hilary Clinton campaign.

Sinclair has hit back against some of the critics with law suits for defamation in the DC district court filed by his attorney Montgomery Sibley most recently noteworthy for his defence of the “DC Madam”.

On 1st April, 2008 US District Court Judge Henry Kennedy granted a motion for discovery in the matter. The aim of the Sinclair-Sibley legal strategy is eventually to discover Barack Obama on oath.

2. Larry Sinclair took a polygraph test in February confident that he would pass and he challenged Obama to do the same. The test was arranged by Whitehouse.com an internet site best known for pornography and anti-Clinton political satire.

The raw computer readings showed that Larry Sinclair passed the test with flying colours. But two testers hired by Whitehouse.com re-interpreted the readings to claim that they showed deception. One of the testers was Edward I. Gelb who has been exposed by specialists in the field for claiming a phony Ph.D.

Whitehouse.com refused to publish the full results or the video of the test and in many other respects breached good faith undertakings they gave Sinclair to induce him to participate. He claims that he and his attorney are in possession of information that the Obama campaign bribed Whitehouse.com to distort the test and spin the presentation of the results.

Whitehouse.com has not denied these allegations but has abruptly gone silent on the matter.

3. Many in the mainstream media are aware of Larry Sinclair’s allegations about Barack Obama and rumours in Chicago restaurant and club land since at least 2001 that Barack Obama has been doing the Down Low with gay men. Some newspaper have interviewed Larry Sinclair and visited his home in Minnesota. He has provided them with his criminal record, his health and financial records and his family history.

At least one major Chicago newspaper has indicated that it will not proceed yet because it does not want to be accused of racism or of causing problems for the first viable black candidate. Other newspapers have asked for more proof such as access to the limousine driver who witnessed the events of November 6th, 1999.

Larry Sinclair has said the driver will testify in legal proceedings. But in the meantime he wants to protect him from interference from Obama campaign, from the kind of death threats to which Sinclair has been subjected and from the kind of harrssment that Obama supporters have visited on Sinclair’s elderly mother, his siblings and neighbors. However, Larry Sinclair is willing to provide assurances about his evidence to the media through his lawyer.

4. When Larry Sinclair first reported his allegations to the Obama campaign in September 2007 he wanted Obama to correct his claim that he had stopped taking drugs in his teens and had never taken crack. He believes crack is addictive and difficult to shake off.

Over the following months until December, 2007 he was contacted several times by Donald Young who appeared to be Obama’s emissary. He was the choir master at the Trinity Church of Christ which was under the direction of Pastor Jeremiah Wright and where Barack Obama is a member of the congregation. Donald Young informed Larry Sinclair that he, too, had a sex and drugs relationship with Barack Obama similar to his.

At first he suggested that Obama was seeking the assistance of Jeremiah Wright in making a statement acknowledging his use of crack cocaine as recently as 1999. But he had second thoughts in early December 2007. Donald Young was murdered in his appartment at Christmas 2007.

Larry Sinclair notified the Chicago police of his contacts with him but received no acknowledgment. Subsequently he has submitted a sworn affidavit which has so far not been acknowledged by the Chicago Police.

Larry’ Sinclair’s original video on YouTube has received more than 800,000 hits and his blog is in the top ten percentile on WordPress. Links to all his radio interviews can be found at his blog together will all contact details for the media.

Holly,
I apologize if I hurt your feelings. Just because you are angry with my comment should not result in you insulting Obama. He is so well qualified and has stellar characteristics. He is willing to open the communication channel to others because that is the only way to know others and deal with them better.

Holly,
You seem to be captive of fear. Don’t let fear rule your life.

My point was not that Hillary should be the Democrat nominee because the rules were unfair. The rules were the same for each candidate. By the rules of the Democratic party, Barack is most certainly going to be the candidate. There is no way the super-delegates will overturn the popular or delegate count.

I am merely posing the question of who has the better chance going up against McCain? Just because Obama can win the primary doesn’t necessarily mean he is the better candidate in the general election. In my opinion, because the rules of a general election are different than the Democratic primary process, I believe Hillary would be a stronger adversary for McCain.

EJ think you are wrong in overall assessment of what people think of candidates

Overall the polling found that Obama has a glowing image. Huge majorities see him as honest, inspiring and down to earth, and only very small percentages express negative opinions of him.

Personal views of Clinton among white Democrats are quite different. Many fewer Democrats say she is inspiring, honest and down to earth and many associated negative qualities with her — 3 in 10 say they view her as “phony,” while 4 in 10 say she is “hard to like.”

While Obama’s positive personal image plays an important role in his high favorable ratings, the polling found that his ratings are more influenced by how he makes voters feel than by specific characteristics they attributed to him. In particular, views that Obama inspires hope and pride are the strongest determinants of a person’s opinion of him. In other words, he is a charismatic candidate who has made large numbers of Democratic voters feel good, and this is even more important to them than specific perceptions of him.

In contrast, Clinton’s image is more driven by opinions about her own qualities, rather than the emotions she engenders in others. Although, making voters feel hopeful does register as a significant factor for her, especially among women, it is much less important than for Obama. Honesty is as much a factor for her as for him, though many fewer see her as honest compared to her opponent.

You must be dreaming the same kind of dream as Hillary when she saw being shot by a sniper in Bosnia… because whether you like it or not OBAMA is the candidate already.
Stop being a racist and a bigot. Most black ppl (not all, mind you) voted for Obama so far because in him they see a world so much better than the one they live right now, being looked down upon and being played by ppl like you in their daily life. You just want to cling to your old way of life but you have no choice but to wake up and smell the coffee….
**********************

INTERESTING PERCEPTION MULU

SO WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU THINK WILL COME TO PASS IF, AND I MEAN ONLY IF, OBAMA GET TO BE THE PRESIDENT..
HOW WILL EVERY DAY LIFE CHANGE FOR ANY BLACK PPL, OR WHITES FOR THE CASE?

I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR ONE GOOD THING THAT WILL TRANSPIRE.

I SAY NOTHING SUBSTANTIAL, BECAUSE IF YOU DO NOT FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF BEFORE OBAMA WON THE PRESIDENCY YOU WILL NOT FEEL GOOD AFTER, YOUR SELF-ESTEEM IS HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT YOURSELF, NOT HOW OTHERS WILL MAKE YOU FEEL.

AND STOP BELITTLING OTHER PEOPLE’S COMMENT WE ALL STILL HAVE AN OPINION.

Also Obama, he got some punches handled it well, is a good speaker and yes he has better qualities and a lot more cash than McCain, which can become a deciding factor, Should be a interesting contest, some diehard Rep. think bit afraid, so thats why they attacked him, in hope and understanding piece of cake with Hillary. McCain has his own problems, changed his tax position, no tax return wife, voting record, war and health record should come out soon,

After seeing Obama give Hillary “the finger”, I won’t vote for him if he is the nominee. He has no class.

Hey Mulu, The one who plays the race card here is Obama and his campaign, to his own advantage, anybody else saying anything (that’s the true) he labels them racist. 90% of blacks vote for Obama, that’s not racist Mulu? think about it, and Rev. Wright sermons and Obama friendship with Ayers…now that’s scary…

GOD BLESS AMERICA

Anybody but Obama please.

To the obama supporters: As of April.
If you calculate the distribution of Electoral votes needed to become president during a general election (using the states that Hillary and obama won to date). You get:
Hillary: 215 + (Florida 27 and Michigan 17) = 259 obama: 202
Up next: Pennsylvania 21
As you see, if Hillary wins Pennsylvania, she would have the 270 (actually 280) out of 538 needed to become president in the general election. Mr. obama is winning a lot of states with 4 or less Electoral votes and he has not won “any” of the states the Democrats need to win in November! If he can not win them now, how can he win them in November? Can you say Superdelegates! They should and must select the candidate with the best chance of winning in November or the democrats need to get use to saying, President McCain!

Elitism has nothing to do with how poor you were when you were born. It doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with how much money you have.
Elitism is defined as:
A select group of people with outstanding personal abilities, intellect, wealth, specialized training or experience, or other distinctive attributes.
The belief that certain persons or members of certain classes or groups deserve favored treatment by virtue of their perceived superiority, as in intellect, social status, or financial resources.
a. The sense of entitlement enjoyed by such a group or class.
