Strange. This is a woman who has had a good life, with opportunities few whites or blacks have been given. When she entered Princeton and Harvard and later became a partner in a prestigious law firm, didn’t she feel proud to be an American?
When she and the senator bought their new home, was there no feeling of accomplishment and pride in being a U.S. citizen? When her husband was elected to the state legislature and subsequently to the United States Senate, didn’t she feel proud of her country?

I’m glad that ROMNEY got out, but your hope that he’s VP is truely a vision of a baffoon.

What if a minister in a church attended primarily by white congregants or a rabbi in a synagogue attended primarily by Jews made comparable statements that were hostile to African-Americans? I have no doubt that the congregants would have immediately stood up and openly denounced the offending cleric.
Others would have criticized that cleric in private. Some would surely have ended their relationships with their congregation. Obama didn’t do any of these things.

A great leader with conscience and courage would have stood up and faced down anyone who engages in such conduct. I expect a president of the United States to have the strength of character to denounce and disown enemies of America — foreign and domestic — and yes, even his friends and confidants when they get seriously out of line.

I believe that she will have the popular vote lead by the end and hope that the democratic deligates are smart enough to nominate Hillary because she and only she can beat McCain. I have said for months now that Obama will never win MA since he could not win it with the support of Kennedy, Kerry, Partick and even Oprah….Hillary easily won MA and since we have heard very little to almost nothing from Kerry and Kennedy because they should be too embarrassed to speak….(.Kerry is not bright enough to know he should be embarrassed and so we have heard a lttle from him on msnbc.) CA is also not likely to be won by Obama. So kids this is not American Idol and we are not electing a frat president that uses his middle finger instead of words…..yes I saw it too. Vote Hillary or we will have McCain because even I a lifetime dem will never vote Obama while many republican woman would only vote democrat if they are voting for Hillary as the first woman President. Didn’t we already vote for a President, not once but twice who obviously doesn’t know what he’s doing, now people want to vote for another candidate that will have no idea of what he’s doing due to his lack of experience. Last time I checked this position was not “learn as you go.” As for Hillary “picking” on Obama, he gives as good as he gets so he and his wife need to stop whining and remember that he gets handled with kit gloves by all the media, Hillary does not, and she’s right, there is a double standard. I hope when this is over Obama will remember to send a nice thank you to CNN and MSNBC for doing such a good job promoting him, but as arrogant as he comes across he probably won’t because he feels that it is owed to him.

I wondered if I might be missing something when I noticed that 80 to 90% of blacks were voting for Obama. I thought perhaps my desire to elect Hillary was so strong that perhaps I had not given Obama a chance and then….I heard Rev. Wright and saw the Obama’s cast every piece of historical data as racism like Bill’s comment “Jesse Jackson won SC too.” and noted that Obama was a very good speaker but failed in the debates to do anything more than agree with Hillary…..and then I saw him give the finger at a speach while blaming Hillary for the fact that he failed in the debate. For a man with very little experience he sure has a big ego.

Now remember the OJ Simpson trial verdict which 80 to 90% of blacks agreed with while 80 to 90% of non blacks disagreed with that verdict? Who was right? We now have 80 to 90% of blacks voting for Obama and some maybe 25% of white democrats.

Interesting reading, but I will say I actually agree with some of the writers for once. I do think it is important for the person who occupies the highest office of the land to be able to take the “heat” that comes with it, and not complain. I want to know about that person, what kind of a person he/she really is, and not just their views. The question about the flag lapel pin was very symbolic to me of where Obama really stands in regard to this country as a country and not just a mass of people. He does not share my values as an American obviously, since I am a conservative and I see him and Hiliary both borderline socialists. Now that term is going to hack off a lot of people but call a spade a spade. The other day in a speech Obama used the would “allow” 6 times in reference to what the government will do for the people. That bothers me deeply as does Hillary and her programs for infant childhood education. It is just the government taking more and more control and people being more and more passive and just letting go of self-initiative and drive and saying to themselves. “this is the best I can do”, and to that I say BS, and McCain is saying it to, and so is the conservative movement, but it is saying it begins with YOU and not the government!!!

I don’t think it’s suprising that Carter would do what he’s doing. You have to understand that the whole Democratic Party is rotten to the core.
