New Obama Ad Features Boos For Hillary
The Obama campaign is up with a new ad featuring Hillary Clinton getting jeered for saying she was disappointed in his recent remarks about embittered Pennsylvania voters.
The spot is a response to a negative Clinton ad in which real people (all Hillary supporters) talk about how out of touch Obama is with Pennsylvanians for saying they cling to guns and religion as a way of expressing their frustration.
Obamas new attack ad kicks off with video of Clinton’s speech at the American Association of Manufacturers yesterday, where she was booed for telling the crowd “I know many of you, like me, were disappointed by recent remarks that he made.” The Clinton campaign says the boo birds were a group of fervent Obama supporters.
Defending his campaigns ad, Clinton communication director Howard Wolfson said Obama was the first candidate to go negative on the air with a radio ad in South Carolina — and said his “bitter” remarks are fair game. “I think the issues raised in the ad are important issues, because there has been a great deal of concern about Senator Obama’s remarks in California,” he said. “He himself has offered several different explanations for them. None of them are quite satisfying to the people of Pennsylvania.”

AWESOME AD!!!!!!!!!!!!
Barack takes her “bitter” attack and shoves it down her throat.
Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!
Obama’s “Change” politics? Sending his Obamanoids to boo Hillary, how far can you sink?
He is a a liar and a fraud.
Vonay,
The ad was pure genius, even if there were plants in the audience. You ain’t gonna be able to prove it.
It’s over. The fat lady is singing, “Hillary, get out of the race because you’ve lost!”
OBAMA’S ANTI-AMERICAN FRIENDS
REZCO
RACIST REV WRIGHT
NEW PASTOR REV MOSS
TERRORIST WILLIAM AYERS AND DORN
THE NEW BLACK PANTHER PARTY
AL SHARPTON
LOUIS FARRAKHAN
OPRA WINFRY
Jim,
she’s not getting out. What are you all afraid of?
Oh, I forgot one of OBama’s friends……….Jimmy Carter.
Vonay,
I’m afraid that she’s is trying to take Obama out so that he loses the general election and she can run in 2012. I hope people realize what she is trying to do and never vote for her again, either for senate or president.. or even dog-catcher!
Jim, The sad thing is, Obama won’t win in Nov. anyway. Then we’ll be stuck with McCain.
A 20+ point blow-out in PA would be poetic, and put all the media pundits–who always declare any Obama campaign crisis “over” and who predict a HRC failure at every turn–in their place once again.
I live in CA, and 48 hours before super-Tuesday the media was calling CA for Obama by 10 points, and HRC won by 10.
Same thing happed in NH and NV.
The Obama “bitter-gate” flap did not even become widely known until Monday. Its only Tuesday guys, simmer down.
HINT: Whenever Obama goes negative, he is off the original message that made his campaign take off in the first place (transcendent hope, harmony, bi-partisanship).
HINT TO THE OBAMA DIEHARDS: 45 Percent of the Dems want Hillary to be nominated, so stay tuned.
I guess he wants his bitter comments to stay in the news! I think this ad will backfire on him.
Jim,
Does it bother you at all about Obama’s Pastor’s remarks? Or the anti-American
people he seems to associate with? I’ve always wondered about what
Obama’s supporters really thought about all that.
Does him being friends with William Ayers bother you?
Hilary is eating crow now! Excellent ad by Obama! He will be the next President of the U.S.!!
Obama was not trying to belittle the people of Pensylvania other than explain the outcome of the NAFTA. Hillary took the matter and created poor show of statewomanship again. I would support Clinton if she did not display such petty straw grabbing antiques. She should stick to issues…she does that well. I dont want her answering the phone at 3 am and concluding without consultation as she did with the Iraq war. It is evident here again that she has poor judgement.
Vonay,
All that stuff is blown out of proportion. He’s met the guy Ayers. It’s not like he gets advice from him. Hillary has met and taken money from people who are just as slimey.
I view Rev. Wright’s comments as hyperbole, said for effect during her sermons.
Staged boooos the way they “NEED more white people” to stage a diverse audience behind him during his and Michelle’s speeches. HMMMMMM. Come down off of your high horses Obama fans, your idol is made of FOOLS GOLD!
JIm,
Obma’s campaign says he is still friends with Ayers.
Or his lies in his ad about not taking money form PAC’s,etc. That has been under ad check and is all lies. I still don’t see Obama signs out here in NW PA. Had to travel aways today, after being bitter while I fueled up my tank, and as I drove I saw many, many Ron Paul signs(no McCain) many, many, many Hillary signs and 4 Obama’s. But I think they had the big /over his name.LOL! Had lunch with family from SW PA and they didn’t see a single Obama sign and haven’t heard of anybody voting for him in their areas. Odd, after my husband doing his absentee voting we weren’t feeling to “bitter” so guess we will put up the guns and miss church for today.
too bad he could not stand upto Carter and take a stand on meeting with hamas. maybe that is part of silly season too. he can spin and spin but his words say much about him or does he not remember how he once said words are important? his arrogance is really showing thru
Vonay,
Obama did not say that. A campaign adviser said that. There are no record of any meetings between them other than those that occurred via some third party.
Obama is the teflon candidate so learn it love it live it!
He learned well from Bill, don’t sound weak with apologies, just go immediately on counter attack, brilliant execution.
2 Things on the Ad…Its a fair play by Obama BUT….
1) If you watched it as it happens and the boos have been added dramatically louder.
2) Ask someone that was there…they were booing the Obama remarks..NOT Hillary
Alll you Obamabots. You can be disappointed in Denver. Or you can be dissappointed in Nov. Either way, Americans will not let this man in office. I assure you.
He grandstanded against the Bush capital-gains and dividend tax cuts and even co-sponsored an amendment with Tom Daschle to scuttle the reduction in the highest income-tax rates. Why? “I just thought it was too tilted to the wealthy and I still do. Run for president and change his tune, you cant take that or him seriously, no consistency. Another good solution, stop filling petroleum reserve, that might help rduce gas price. Not really thats only 3/10% of overall consumption. All sounds easy solutions, no creativity, and not much change.
More boos are awaiting her at the dabate tomorrow. She will eventually be booed out of this primary afer she has sacrificed all her dignity the goodwill she had with the American people.
Hillary should not push the religion issue so much.. but of course she will, she cannot help herself.

Catholics to Hillary: Stop Using Mother Teresa in Ad
This article was written by Susan Jones, CNSNews.com Senior Editor
A Catholic advocacy group is urging Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign to remove an image of Mother Teresa from a campaign video narrated by former President Bill Clinton.
“It is wholly inappropriate, disrespectful and disturbing that Hillary Clinton is using an image of Blessed Mother Teresa as a political tool, especially given their radically different views on abortion,” said Fidelis President Joseph Cella.
He noted that Mother Teresa fought to protect unborn children, while Hillary Clinton “staunchly supports abortion on demand in all nine months of pregnancy, including partial birth abortion and taxpayer funding of abortion.
“Out of respect to Mother Teresa, and the Missionaries of Charity strict guidelines for the use of Mother’s image, we call on the Hillary Clinton campaign to immediately remove her image from their campaign video,” Cella said in a news release.
A shot of Mother Teresa standing with then-First Lady Hillary Clinton and daughter Chelsea appears in the five-minute video for only a moment.
The video then cuts to a clip of Mrs. Clinton’s address at the 1995 Beijing Conference, in which she says, “It is no longer acceptable to discuss women’s rights as separate from human rights.”
What the Clintons don’t mention in the video, Fidelis noted, is that the Beijing Conference tried to declare abortion a fundamental human right.
“Mother Teresa, by contrast, abhorred the international abortion policies of the UN,” Cella said.
He noted that Mother Teresa sent a letter to the 1995 Beijing Conference in which she wrote, “That special power of loving that belongs to a woman is seen most clearly when she becomes a mother. Motherhood is the gift of God to women…Yet we can destroy this gift of motherhood, especially by the evil of abortion …. No job, no plans, no possessions, no idea of ‘freedom’ can take the place of love.”
Cella said he has sent a letter to the head of the Missionaries of Charity, urging her to ask the Clinton campaign to “cease and desist in its unauthorized use of Mother’s image.”
Fidelis describes itself as a Catholic-based advocacy organization established to help elect pro-life, pro-family and pro-religious liberty candidates to public office, support the confirmation of judges, and promote and defend laws faithful to the Constitution in Congress and the Courts.
The Hillary Clinton for president campaign is sending the video narrated by Bill Clinton to her supporters and donors. In it, Mr. Clinton speaks admiringly for five minutes of his wife’s accomplishments and commitment to public service.
I thought that Obama was above all of this. He is a farce. He sits back, waits for things to happen and capitalizes.
Obama is taking his mistake and mis-statement and trying to make it about Hillary. You said it Obama. Make it about you. Man up. Accept what’s yours. You’re such a f**kin looser.
I will never vote for Obama. Ever. I don’t like his tricks.
It will be sad when the republican attack maching tears Obamer a couple of new ones. He won’t be able to pick cotton, now, wooooooooooooooo ain’t that racist? Get over it.
GUESS WHAT??? THEY WERE OBAMA CAMPAIGNERS ONCE AGAIN GOING TO CLINTON SPEECHES AND JEERING AND BOOING TO MAKE THE CAMERAS “THINK” THAT SHE WAS PLAYING WELL WITH THE AUDIENCE.
what can we say, he’s an ass . Lets run an ad for him about rev. wright
HOW STUPID! WHY WOULD HE WANT TO RUN AN AD SHOWING HER TALKING ABOUT “HIS” BIASED STUPID STATEMENTS…THAT IS LIKE FREE CAMPAIGNING FOR HER…FINALLY…HE HAS HAD THE MEDIA CAMPAIGNING FOR HIM FOR MONTHS NOW.
Obama should run a similiar ad using his supporters……also, he should run an ad showing Clinton at the bar downing that shot of whiskey while holding the glass of beer then pan to her sleeping (like her ad depicted the child sleeping at 3 A.M.) and the phone ringing, ringing, ringing……she’s not picking it up!!
Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OBAMA!!!!2008 - We love you!!!!
A reporter who was in the audiance said she couldnt decifer whether the rustling in the crowd was boo for Hillary or if they were booing BO for what he had said
Bo no doubt has chosen to try to make people beleive she was booed
But one has to seriously take into consideration that the reporter there in person couldnt tell exactly what was happening in the crowd
If this makes BO warm and fuzzy let him have it
Its about all he has to hang onto right now
And doesnt in any way change his own words so let him spend a million on this dumb ad who cares
jim, don’t you know this just infuriates clinton supporters, and if obombyomama gets the nomination, they will not crossover well to your candidate….make sense? that’s because i’m republican.
Obamanites are so arrogant they don’t even recognize they have just been patronized!
His bitter statement was NOT about religion or guns. Read the whole statement in context
of where and who he was speaking to. It voiced his condensating opinion on rural voters as being so ignorant they ONLY vote on ‘wedge’ issues such as guns, religion, immigration and against ‘those not like them’. He has campaigned on ‘being one of them’…but it must not be rural American he is like. Turning to religion is not a subject he should touch. We all have now seen his religious mentor in his times of ‘frustraiton’.
The Democratic Party seems to be in quite a spot. They are starting to find out that one of their stars, Obama, seems to be falling. For many, the fall is coming too late, as they now can see the trouble they will be in come the general election when he becomes the nominee. Hillary has to be admired for her tenacity; however, I feel she will not be able to overcome Obama for the nomination. People are having buyers remorse with Obama.
I truly feel if they held primaries in all the states, Hillary would be leading the way in both the popular and delegate count. When the general election is held, Obama will find out voters will be out in full force, which will not favor him as much as it did in some states which held the caucus. As for the superdelegates turning the election over to Hillary, it won’t happen, or that could be the end of the Democratic Party as it is known today.
Even though I will vote for McCain regardless of the candidate the Democrats choose, it is painful watching this play out for the Democrats. It is like knowing a train wreck is coming their way, but there is no way to stop it. I believe Hillary would have a better chance to beat McCain in the general election for the Democrats. With Obama as the nominee, I’m pretty sure McCain will win.
Hooray for Obama!! The goal of the Clinton team is to get him off-message for whatever silliness they can find (especially since they can’t counter his message) It worked before, but not this time!
It’s about as believable as his talking about his poor upbringing. He’s definitely a spin master.
So he plants people in the crowd loudens the boos for his tv ad yet he wants us dumb americans to think that he is the candidate that doesnt use the old ways what a frickin liar
This is a feeble attempt at trying to get the focus off himself and his nutjob preacher
Who by the way is crazy as ever and taking BO right down with him
Keep talkin Jerry
Who does BO think he is at his attempt to be funny with the Annie O comment -Sheriff Bart from Blazing Saddles?
If I were Hillary I would show up on Colbert packing some pistols just to make a mockery out BOs dumb*ss
Have you seen this site: http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/deep-inside-bittergate/
It will make you sick.
ha! Betty, she could pack a couple six-shooters and ask Colbert if he would like to go duck hunting…
A load boo is a negative response, from negative people, with a negative agenda, to cast a negative shadow on someone else, to take the negative light off of the negative change, trying to be pushed on the American people, in a negative way. Catch all of that?
barry well said. couldn’t agree with you more…….but do you think the buyer remorse is setting in for the obama supporters? i don’t think so. i think it’s more in the independents and conservative dems. so i think the die hard obama supporters will be shocked when the election results are tallied.
i too feel sorry for the dems and the mess they made for themselves, but i guess it’s pay back for gore, kerry, reid, and pelosi. didn’t they know that hillary was annointed? they should have sucked-up their hedonistic egos and just gone with the queen, they would have been much farther down the road. now if they give the nomination to the strongest candidate, hillary, they will split the party down ethnic lines…..but that’s ok, because the republican party will accept them and you know they’ll do much better with a dose of tough love, rather than democratic appeasements that keep 23% in poverty and families broken.
I don’t know Obama people, although I don’t support Obama or Hillary, this ad is nothing to brag about. I wouldn’t get too excited over this one as it seems rather benign to me. Hillary’s ad against Obama in Pennsylvania is a “10″ on a scale of “1 to 10″ and I would say Obama’s ad is a “4″.
Who helped an inexperienced, lacking in substance new senator!
The body count that the mainstream media has regurgitated out of Florida and Michigan is that 2.3 million Democrats voted in primaries that broke the rules, leaving the DNC with no choice but to level both villages, even if the collateral damage might include the party’s prospects of carrying those disenfranchised states in November. The DNC and the MSM appear to have simultaneously concluded that even Clinton’s 300,000-vote win in Florida, where both candidates competed on a level playing field, shouldn’t be counted in the popular vote tally, a calculation that appears nowhere in DNC rules and turns 1.7 million Democratic voters into ghosts.
The irony is that the drumbeat for Clinton’s withdrawal - coming on the heels of her recent wins and right before what may be her biggest in Pennsylvania - is rooted in the collapse of the effort to redo Michigan and Florida. The theory is that she should quit because there is no way she can win, and that there is no way she can win because two states she could win, at least one of which she actually did win, will not be counted until she gets out. Barack Obama would thus become the nominee - not because of an honestly earned if precariously narrow lead in the final national vote, but because of two elections he would not let happen.
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/040208M.shtml
Obama’s Backers - and the Road to the Nomination
The DNC critique of Florida’s noncompliance included a reference to the fact that a Democratic state senator was the initial sponsor of the move-up bill in that house, which was seen as a sign of eagerness on the part of some Democratic leaders to break the rules. That senator was Jeremy Ring, an Obama supporter. Obama even named Ring’s 2006 campaign manager to run his statewide Florida effort. Ring was such a champion of the early primary that when Obama, like all the other candidates, supported the sanctions and agreed not to campaign in the state, Ring withdrew his endorsement.
When Governor Crist signed the bill at a ceremony in West Palm Beach, the man at his side was Bob Wexler, the chair of Obama’s Florida campaign. Wexler wasn’t there because he wanted to defy Howard Dean. He was there for the same reason that almost all the Democrats in the legislature voted for the bill. He is the state’s leading foe of paperless voting systems and filed two suits against them. He saw the bill as the governor’s fulfillment of a campaign pledge “to make Florida a model state for the nation in terms of our election system.”
Similarly, all three of the House Democrats who endorsed Obama - Coleman Young II, Bert Johnson, and Aldo Vagnozzi - voted in favor of the bill to push the Michigan date forward. When Obama later took his name off the Michigan ballot, Young and Johnson became sponsors of the bill to cancel the election they had just voted to authorize.
The support of Obama’s principal backers in both states for the move-up bills was hardly consequential, but it does raise questions about his current opposition to any counting or recounting of these states. If bad faith is the DNC’s standard, Obama doesn’t have to look too far to find alleged examples of it, and to recognize that the national party might be unfairly characterizing what the leaders in these states did.
Imagining a convention without delegations from these large and politically volatile states has become the nightmare of every thinking Democrat. Polls indicate that a nominee who refuses to count the 1.7 million Floridians who voted in a level-playing field primary, or to find a way for them to vote again, will wind up wasting whatever time and money he or she spends there in the general election campaign. As close as the general election vote in Michigan has been in recent years, even a small margin of voters disgruntled by the state’s Democratic lockout could push it into the GOP column. Obama’s stonewalling about both states may offer short-term advantages, but two delegations denied seating because of his maneuvers may well be seen as contrary to his populist rationale now - and crippling to his candidacy in November.
Ed Pozzuoli, the Republican chair of Broward County, recalls the Florida showdown of 2000, when he says Democrats taunted Republicans, insisting that they should “let every vote count.” He gloats now: “I guess that’s changed in eight years.” He’s hardly the only one chortling over the likely consequence of what he calls the “draconian” Democratic spiking of his state’s delegation.
Dear Jim,
You would be happier at CNN. That network is blinded by love for Obama as well.
Another panic move by Obama. Polls have warned against negative ad campaigns, Obama went to the well he accuses others of going to.
Bad move Barack H. This ad will come back to bite him.
not according to polls and Penn. newspapers on the contrary.

I agree with you about the hardcore Obama supporters not having buyers remorse. It kind of reminds me of Howard Dean before his fall from the Presidential run he had.
Christines
Its unfortunate for Hillary that Florida and Michigan will not have any impact on the race until after all of the other voting is done, even the superdelegates. Obama and Dean will allow Florida and Michigan to be seated once they know the total delegate count. Obama will then graciously allow them into the fold, but only up to the point that still secures him the nomination. It is for this reason that the election is all but done. Its sad, but true.
REAL CHANGE would be having a female president. Although my support for Hillary is not just because she is a woman, it certainly adds to her appeal to me. Pretty good post Christines and I like your angle on this. However, please remember that Hillary’s name was on the ballot and Obama’s was not; however, it doesn’t matter now anyway either way. Florida and Michigan need to hold their primaries again, and with both Hillary and Obama’s name on the ballot next time around, I believe that Hillary will win by a double digit margin….but nonetheless, lose by a double digit margin come November when the general election comes. If Obama runs in the general election, I believe he will lose to McCain by a margin of 30%. Two months ago, I would have said no way.

You’re asserting negative ads are prefered Ari…prove it.
somebody in pa made this comment on hillary blog ,,,,,,very peaceful and meaningful——————————————————————————–
“I hope the folks in PA teach him some manners in the nice way they usually do. They won’t fuss and they won’t fight. They won’t give him “heck”. On election day, they’ll get up, vote for Hillary, put in a day of work, come home and have supper with the family.”
Darn right we will - you won’t see us acting like the Barry Bittergate supporters, either. We’ll do it with class!
Blog NOW: Cnn Cafferty File: Would Obama be where he is if he were white?
——————————————————————————–
You can go post a blog now and the question is: would obama be where he is now if he were white…
cafferty of course excuses it and says Obama won Iowa which was before any black voters got to vote
You can also read the article and comment. As usual the Obama excusers are calling Johnson a racist etc.
Here ya go.

Uh, Vonay, your list needs some serious fact-checking. You apparently don’t realize that Al Sharpton is a Clinton surrogate, not an Obama supporter. You also seem ignorant of the fact that Obama doesn’t have any relationship with Ayers, Dorn, or Farrakhan, much less consider them “friends”. He ran against a popular Black Panther when he ran for the U.S. House, so you can’t say that the Black Panthers are on his good side. And it’s laughable that you talk about Obama supporting terrorists, since the Clintons are the ones that got 16 members of the anti-American terrorist group Fuerzas Armadas de Liberación Nacional pardoned so she could get the Puerto Rican vote in New York.

Not one has executive experience, so in that sense its just lenght of time of political representation and what you actually accomplished or stand for, consistency and ability to change policies, plus attract voters.
McCain 08
Sonia, That`s a wasted effort, unless you completely agree with everything Jack “sper lib” Cafferty says. They will just dump your post.
“Obama is taking his mistake and mis-statement and trying to make it about Hillary. You said it Obama. Make it about you. Man up. Accept what’s yours. You’re such a f**kin looser.”
Wow. I’m sure your life compares very positively to his in allowing you to call him a loser. (being unable to spell “loser” correctly sheds some light on you as well.) Now, when has either of his opponents ever even started to own up to anything they’ve said in this campaign? Would you still stand behind the Democrat who has repeatedly lied about her and her opponent’s experience or the Republican who uses racist language to refer to military opponents and sexist language to refer to his wife?
yeah barry, it does feel like the same dead ball bounce that happened after howard dean lost the nomination…i wonder if there are any democrats out there who would admit that they supported dean back in his day….he’s such an unpopular fellow these days.

still voting for hillary
ari,
Is it possible the liberal media may be slanting these results by focusing on areas that should go for Obama? I mean it really wouldn’t be that hard and it’s pretty muh been a standard practice for years come the General Elections.
I don’t worry about his ads at all. The more they try to ridicule Hillary, the more it will backfire. He’s in the wrong side this time. I’m sure Hill’s camp will come up with a very sharp-shooting ads after the debate and between the primary. This is the most important window of opportunity to get the undecided voters.

Why does the press work overtime to harm the only viable female candidate for President in the history of this country?
The press is not manhandling Obama; he enjoys free access to the press. And he NEEDS it to continue to try and counter all his increasing inconsistencies in style, remarks, honesty and abilities.
Obama pays a fortune for that access to the media. That is why he was back in SF hitting up donors for more money in his recent debauch.
Outspending Hilary 2 to 1 for a minor fraction of a tenuous edge of the vote. One that is in itself a fiction since Michigan and Florida are not being counted. So please don’t anyone kid yourself about all that.
Why does it take so much money to convince people to vote for him?
That is a VERY GOOD question. That is the real question that everyone INCLUDING the press should be asking. They won’t since they want to stay on track with the gravy train. If there was no burning story about it then the money pot would dry up.
It is by the way the same question his donors asked.
Well it may be the old school rule applies here; you can fool some of the people some of the time but you can’t fool all the people all of the time.
The truth is electing obama is about obama not about our country…
Its about him being black, his stories, his book, his minister, his wife, his disatisfaction with our country, his high brow view of himself, -etc… as long as it is all about him, they way he says it is. No room for any other ideas.
Since when did being a community organizer become a resume booster for president? Helping out the neighbor folks that relate to you, people who have nowhere to turn and need to rely on you is not a solid performance indicator. Especially when the man doing it already has big political aspirations and ambitions. He was looking for ways to get attention to pad his resume in that regard.
These are all good reasons why we will continue to see a breech in obama’s hull. It won’t hold water because it is not made of the materials it says it is. The label is disingenuous.
Hilary may not always get what she wants, when she wants it but she does not stop trying or cave in.
What amazes me more than anything is how rude, unforgiving, uninformed and lacking in understanding all the Americans for obama really are. What does that tell you? Birds of a feather flock together and now obama has his own ad to prove his worst character trait - he is a bully when people diasagree with him. He sent his followers there to heckle Hilary. Sounds like Bush doesn’t it? That is spooky.
The bomb crowd continue to buy and sell the same bull—- until way past time for the cows to come home. The media is laughing all the way to the bank!$$$$$$$ Just keep the funds flowing for the ads needed to counter that Hilary girl. By the way Obama slamed one of the worlds best known and loved female heros of the west, Annie Oakley. Now why don’t you pull the sheep’s wool off his remarks regarding Annie, that is as sexist as they come.
