Bitter about Obama’s comments be real. It is the most truthful thinking coming out of the race so far. The small towns and the middle class do feel the pinch more than other areas in every state because gas, food, and utilities are proportionally higher, when measured against lower salaries. You bet they should be bitter and praise Obama for seeing their pain. You can bet a $100 Mil a year Hillary does not feel the pain at the pump at the grocery store.

McCain has not called Obama anything. He only said that the remark sounded elitist. I make over $50,000/year and now I am budgeting items I have never budgeted small things in my life. It is sad and frustrating when you have a family and you have to budget food, gas an other items that I never budgeted in the past. It is frustating when you do not know if you are going to get laid off. Gas and food and even cigarettes are now bills just like mortgage, light, and car note bills. When Obama said that the people were bitter the american people knew already that he was talking about the frustation that people are going through. I knew exactly what he meant so do many other americans. It was just another way Hillary could nip pick so she could say something negative. Obama said he just got through paying off his student loans, while Hillary has made over $109 million dollars over the past 8 years. So who do you think really understands the middle and lower class issues Obama does.

I have a nephew attending college here in Southern California. He’s encountered the same attitudes directed to him for his views. He’s pragmatic and chooses to think an issue through rather then embrace the romance of blind liberalism and it’s consequences, they paint him as a conservative and treat him as such.

I will be starting at UNC-Chapel Hill this fall. I am facing thousands of anti-Christian and anti-American pupils. I dont know exactly what to expect but even here in my small Eastern NC community I am one of few outspoken Conservatives. I could have chosen to attend two private Baptist Universities, Wake Forest or Campbell, but decided I would be more affective at a school based on raging liberal ideals. I am preparing for my faith, character, and morals to be attacked daily but I will not be discouraged. I will proudly wear my McCain ‘08 t-shirt all around campus.

Tel- these Universities outside of USC and Pepperdine are communist enclaves unless a parent is choosing a good Bible based school for their kid. Its really a gamble for a decent, conservative parent choosing a good school for their kid without the kid having to walk through socialist mine fields each and everyday on campus. Choosing a school anymore is really a difficult process.

Don’t know how many Fox viewers are like me, but I watch because I am mesmerised by their sheer gall. I loathe the mothers and would be nearly as aghast if they were pushing from the other side of the political divide.

Everything down to the most minute detail is framed to accentuate the positive about Republicans and the negative about Democrats, and it is all done with a straight face.

Look at the cynical way they choose their ‘house ni**ers’ to be the most strident rightist spokespeople. Not saying that these individuals are not genuine in their beliefs, but the fact that they are chosen primarily because they can communicate the stock messages from behind a black face must make them feel more than a little used and abused.

Even if, as they constantly allege, there is ‘left-wing bias’ in what they refer to as the mainstream media (I think fairness bias would be more accurate), it is no excuse whatsoever for Fox’s frontpeople to make their bias so screamingly obvious. You just should not see an interviewer nodding and agreeing with their subject, or asking patsy questions like ‘Does Barack really hate America or is he just unpatriotic?’

Goebbels would be proud of the ‘fair and balanced’ BS. I hope the ‘mainstream media’ is quietly building up a blacklist of Fox’s front-puppets and producers. These people have sold out on every journalistic principle there is - and should never be employed again.

You are right on point. Unfortunately, many of the Republican bloggers are so inundated with racial disdain that they have convinced themselves that Fox news network is fair and balanced.

Maybe their disdain is legitimate, I’m not disputing it. What I will dispute however is the fact that Fox news network masterfully exploits their racial fears, biases and prejudices by the way that they present their programming.

They only expose BOGUS claims of racial discrimination, welfare fraud and other controversial issues that the conservative American public dislikes.

What this does is reinforce racially based preconceived notions about such thing like discrimination in America. It convinces them that most issues of racism in America are bogus and illegitimate because that all that they see on Fox.

You know, the funny thing about most Fox viewers is that they only watch Fox news programming. It’s almost as if they are afraid to watch another program and make a comparative analysis.

Now for the record, Fox news is not the only network that’s bias. But let’s face reality, they are the MOST bias in the way they present the news.
