Many people across the US have agreed with his “bitter” comments and have applauded him for being truthful. It clearly fits his message of HOPE

My interpretation of Obama’s comments in regard to guns and religion is quite simple. And he explained it this way, but the press didn’t pick up on it. He said that people turn to their culture for comfort and support. They cling to those things they know best. (Doesn’t that make sense?) At Grantham, PA he said that he is a devout Christian and that when times are toughest he relies more on this faith (than when things are easy). He did not say anything against guns. He did not elaborate as much on his gun comment. But whether he meant that they would use guns to protect themselves or for sport, he did not say anything against the 2nd Amendment and people’s right to bear arms at all. What he said should not be taken as demeaning or condescending.

My first thought about this article was how many times we don’t express ourselves very well. I have seen bloggers do a reply quickly to clarify a prior comment, apologize for leaving out a word, or spelling a word wrong. How is this different?

Sometimes a blogger even apologizes for what they said and change their minds. It is all a part of our communication process.

In our newpaper today it states that Raila Odinga was appointed Prime Minister in Kenyan.

Don’t know how many Fox viewers are like me, but I watch because I am mesmerised by their sheer gall. I loathe the mothers and would be nearly as aghast if they were pushing from the other side of the political divide.

Everything down to the most minute detail is framed to accentuate the positive about Republicans and the negative about Democrats, and it is all done with a straight face.

Look at the cynical way they choose their ‘house ni**ers’ to be the most strident rightist spokespeople. Not saying that these individuals are not genuine in their beliefs, but the fact that they are chosen primarily because they can communicate the stock messages from behind a black face must make them feel more than a little used and abused.

Even if, as they constantly allege, there is ‘left-wing bias’ in what they refer to as the mainstream media (I think fairness bias would be more accurate), it is no excuse whatsoever for Fox’s frontpeople to make their bias so screamingly obvious. You just should not see an interviewer nodding and agreeing with their subject, or asking patsy questions like ‘Does Barack really hate America or is he just unpatriotic?’

Goebbels would be proud of the ‘fair and balanced’ BS. I hope the ‘mainstream media’ is quietly building up a blacklist of Fox’s front-puppets and producers. These people have sold out on every journalistic principle there is - and should never be employed again.
