Obama Says He’d Have Fired Mark Penn

At a media availability in Indianapolis, Barack Obama declined to comment on how Senator Clinton decided to deal with her former chief strategist Mark Penn — who’s been demoted to a lesser advisory position after it was revealed that he’d worked to pass a Colombian free trade agreement that she opposes.

“I think it was surprising to me that a high ranking, if not the highest ranking, member of Senator Clinton’s team would be engaged in business activities and lobbying that was directly contrary to the position Senator Clinton had taken,” he said.

But if one of his advisors had done the same thing?

“Let me put it this way: I’m not surprised that Senator Clinton found herself in an uncomfortable position as a consequence. And I know that if staff of mine were putting me in that kind of position, I would get rid of them.”

Clinton spokesman Jay Carson wonders why, if Obama would get rid of a staff member who contradicted his candidate in a meeting with a foreign government, he’s retained his chief economic advisor Austan Goolsbee.

“When Sen Obama’s top economic advisor told the Canadian government not to take his anti-NAFTA rhetoric seriously, he and his staff misleadingly denied that the meeting ever occurred, and then took absolutely no action,” Carson said in a statement. “It’s good to know he has a higher standard for our campaign than his own.”

An Obama aide calls the Penn-Goolsbee comparison “apples and oranges,” pointing out that Goolsbee was never on staff and that both the campaign and the Canadian government denied the original account by a low level government official — which had Goolsbee claiming that Obama’s anti-NAFTA rhetoric on the stump was “more reflective of political maneuvering than policy.”

Once again, Obama has become a political “sniper”, actually more like a scavenger - “bottom feeder” similar to a carp or a sucker fish…..as Obama lurks on the bottom of the political stream as an opportunist just waiting for the other two candidates to make a statement then pops up from the bottom to retrieve scraps of political food by counter punching a day or two later because Obama has absolutely no integrity, no ideas, not plan, no creativity….etc….etc…..not that Hillary has any either, but Obama is even at a level lower. Obama’s style and approach is a sign that he is not as bright of a guy as people out there give him credit for. I bet he cheated on his tests in high school and college and bar exam as his disposition is characteristic of a cheater. How can anyone out there have any respect for this peasant, lower-south side Chicago scum bag become politician? Obama is a SCAVENGER….this is what he is.

Yeah…..just like he lobbied Imus to be fired as Imus’ comment but didn’t recuse himself from his office as Senator when America found out his association with Reverand Wright for 20 years in a black racist church…nor does this scavenger recuse himself from office after America is finding out how much financial support he has been sucking from the Socialist, Anti-American Billionaire…..”George Soros”… ain’t that calling the kettle black……and it’s time to call a “spade a spade”…

Right he would have fired Mark Penn, but he won’t disown his pastor. Instead he brought his children there to listen to this black radical preachings. Good job Obama. Your judgement sucks. He has no judgement. He flip flops on everything and America needs to wake up. The people in PA> won’t be fooled by him.

This Scavenger is so far to one side of the sliding scale as a “Political Prostitute” and “Political Pimp” that he makes France’s Jacques Chirac seem like a choir boy. Obama is on the “take” and it’s only a matter of time before something real big floats to the surface about his nebulous financial associations and dealings which gets him indicted or walking out of the Capital building with handcuffs on which would be rather nice to see.

Keep in mind that the Canadians gave a big apology for the Obama incident in your zeal to find reasons not to vote for him.
Also, Bill Clinton was paid $800,000 to push deals in Colombia and that Bill is pro NAFTA.

If all you can complain about on Obama are words from somebody else, then you have other reasons for not wanting to support Obama. Like Hillary, you hate him because he is a decent man. Something Hillary is not used to.
Mark Penn is a national disgrace just as Bill Clinton was a national disgrace when he was impeached by the United States House of Representatives.
Hillary is a liar. If you want to trust a liar, have at it. But remember this…when you lie, you will steal, and when you steal, you will kill.
Why not ask Hillary to pay the vendors, the working people she stiffed on her campaign stumps. For a multi-millionaire, she sure has money management problems. Her staff went uninsured because she didn’t pay her bills. Wow, what a woman! Your Woman, not mine.
By the way, it is insane for Hillary to push women to vote for her just because she is a woman. We’re not all that dumb. She doesn’t represent the average woman, she looks down on them.

Although I dont think this will make it to the blog. Fox does such a good job at screening obsene content.

Barack Obama is a brilliant politician who has slipped in under the radar and has solidified his very likely position to take the most powerful position in the US… if not the WORLD. All you have to resort to is this petty stuff.

You constantly exhume this Reverend Wright flap… not knowing that it actually helped him… It gave him to opportunity to react in a crisis situation…. This rookie one-term senator performed magnificently….

So please continue to spew your hatred of him…. Soon he will be your President…. will you stop and support him NO. But hey I don’t blame you… For seven years now I have been tossing my lunch everytime the Decider does any type of decidering … be it the war, the economy, diplomatic relations, ETC… ETC…. ETC….

Now is the time for us to switch chairs. I need a breath of fresh air, I need music to my ears, I need a sight for sore eyes. Barack is that person

Continue in your hatred…..

Obama’s Dubious Affiliations

There is no way a white man with the same background and credentials as Obama could ever be elected to any significant office in this country.

Look at Obama’s affiliations:
- Mr. Rezko is Obama’s long time friend and a major mob figure.

- Mr. Auchi is a billionaire and major financial sponsor for Obama’s rise to power throughout the past years.
While working with Saddam Hussein, Auchi made his money through the sell of arms in Iraq and by stealing money from the Oil for Food program (no wonder Obama voted against invading Iraq)

- Mr. Wright is (I don’t use reverend because he certainly is not reverend) a racist who hates America and whites and is reminiscent of Hitler, has been Mr. Obama’s spiritual mentor for over 20 years. Before the media exposed Mr. Wright, Mr. Wright was on Obama’s campaign staff as chief religious advisor. Mr. Wright and Mr. Meeks are ideologically closer to Karl Marx and Black Nationalism, than to Christianity.
- Senator Meeks who openly hates whites and gays and is one of listed on Obama’s campaign website as a major Obama supporter and backer and is one of Obama;s super-delegate. Mr. Meeks has been integral in helping Mr. Obama succeed in politics.
- Mr. Ayers of the Weather Underground, a group that killed police and tried to bomb the US Capitol served with Obama on the board of the leftist foundation called the Woods Fund.
- Mr. McPeaks is Obama’s military adviser and national campaign co-chairman who claims that American Jews are the “problem.” and “Christian Zionists were driving America’s policy in Iraq to benefit Israel.”

- Michelle Obama trumpets Obama as “the second coming of the messiah,” and also states that she “has never been proud to be an AMERICAN in her adult life”.

The list goes on…

How can Obama’s bad judgment and affiliation with criminals and fanatics be justified?

Oh! And don’t forget Obama’s desire to add Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the above list. Didn’t Mussolini choose Hitler to be his friend? We certainly will be able to add Ahmadinejad to the future list of Obama’s friends as we hide in our nuclear shelters.

Had Hillary Clinton had any of the above ghost in her closet, she would have been thrown out of the election long ago.

Hey everybody - am I missing something here?

It seems to me that perhaps instead of electing Obama president, it would be easier if we just shot ourselves in our collective foot.

Debmood writes…

Personally I don’t hate him at all. My reasons for not supporting him are #1) His foreign policy ideas are naive to the point of downright dangerous, #2) his voting record in no way, shape, or form supports his rhetoric meaning he is just another “say anythign to win” politician with a sharper tongue, #3) he never met a tax he didnt like, and #4) I value experience and Obama has little in that capacity.

As far as his words are concerned, I fall into the camp that it is action and not words that matter. Even the people he quotes (Dr. King, the founding fathers, etc)….it wasn’t their words that made the impact on history. It was their actions that did so. Without those actions their words would have been nothing more than a historical footnote at best. Obama’s history shows him to be a man that says one thing and does another.

Barack Obama described as a Political Sociopath

http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Front_Page/JB26Aa01.html

We know less about Senator Obama than about any prospective president in American history. His uplifting rhetoric is empty, as Hillary Clinton helplessly protests. His career bears no trace of his own character, not an article for the Harvard Law Review he edited, or a single piece of legislation. He appears to be an empty vessel filled with the wishful thinking of those around him. But there is a real Barack Obama. No man - least of all one abandoned in infancy by his father - can conceal the imprint of an impassioned mother, or the influence of a brilliant wife.

Hillary Clinton: 60%
Barrack Obama: 40%

If this predictions comes true, on April 23 please say ” I LOVE AMERICA”.

If this doesn’t hold good, then please say “I AGREE WITH REV. WRIGHT AND MICHELLE OBAMA,

People who would for sure believe in the latter are:

* CHRIS MATTHEWS (Guy who gets tingled when obama opens his “pie-hole”)

* KeKEITH OLBERMANN (Bonafide loser)

* EUGENE ROBINSON (This black guy should be cleaning dirty toilets in a third world country, rather than writing/appearing on national newspaper/tv)

There are big differences in ideology, especially concerning foreign policy. McCain is a continuation of Cheney-gang. The dog and pony show of last days with hearings showed that clearly. Cheny and McCain were days before in baghdad, and of course it was a a joint operation in Basra. It should have been a defining moment. Sen. Kennedy asked if Cheney was present in discussions if and when Basra was discussed, of course he knows more. US army is embedded in national army, of course they would know. It did not work out, so special forces were constructed, old tactic of blaming somebody. Iranians have influence in most ruling parties, and that construction was a farce, but still tried by liebermann/McCain.

Also big flip-flops on strategy on Iraq:on the November 27, 2007, edition of PBS’ Charlie Rose, McCain was asked by Rose if South Korea “is an analogy of where Iraq might be … in terms of an American presence over the next, say, 20, 25 years, that we will have a significant amount of troops there.” McCain replied, “I don’t think so.” Rose then asked: “Even if there are no casualties?” McCain replied, “No. But I can see an American presence for a while. But eventually I think because of the nature of the society in Iraq and the religious aspects of it that America eventually withdraws.”

By contrast, during a January 3 town hall meeting in Derry, New Hampshire, a participant said to McCain: “President Bush has talked about our staying in Iraq for 50 years — ” and McCain interjected: “Maybe a hundred. We’ve been in South Korea; we’ve been in Japan for 60 years. We’ve been in South Korea for 50 years or so

Just basic arithmetics, money and strteched army, doesn’t make sense; 23+ million people and 150.000 troops there now way you can accomplisch what you said out to do, so Iraqis have to step in.

Iraqis have a say in that themselves with security agreement, since mandate of mulinational force runs out in dec. The whole item of private contracters is not in discussion, which run in 10.000s and are for security in green zone and other activities. The broader issue is that iraqi themselves come to rely too much on americans qua budget, dependency on basic requirements. While unused money of Iraq sits in a bank. Furthermore, more troops doesn’t equal success in long run, same is true for afghanistan. Its about containment and some kind of cooperation between parties who are fighting for control and power. Analogue on civil war, you have separitists and nationalists, and now its trying to shape to country and that it is not falling apart.

“This week, Gen. David Petraeus and US Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker told Congress of two main threats to Iraq’s stability: Iran-backed Shiite militias and Al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI). Little was said about the broader state of the Sunni insurgency, other than a fleeting mention by General Petraeus of the IAI in the northern city of Mosul and Mr. Crocker’s reference to Syria “harboring individuals who finance and support the Iraqi insurgency.” .

My fellow Democrats -

- HERE IS ANOTHER REASON TO VOTE FOR SENATOR CLINTON>>>

Here is the latest Head to Head survey as of April 7 - 9 by the Associated Press National Poll (AP)…..

WASHINGTON — Republican Sen. John McCain has “ERASED” Sen. Barack Obama’s 10-point advantage in a head-to-head matchup, leaving him essentially tied with both Democratic candidates in an Associated Press-Ipsos national poll released Thursday.

The survey showed the extended Democratic primary campaign creating divisions among supporters of Obama and rival Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and suggests a tight race for the presidency in November no matter which Democrat becomes the nominee.

McCain is benefiting from a bounce since he clinched the GOP nomination a month ago. The four-term Arizona senator has moved up in matchups with each of the Democratic candidates, particularly Obama.

An AP-Ipsos poll taken in late February had Obama leading McCain 51-41 percent.
THE CURRENT SURVEY, conducted April 7-9, HAD McCAIN/OBAMA at 45 percent each.
McCAIN “LEADS” OBAMA AMONG MEN, WHITES, SOUTHERNERS, MARRIED WOMEN AND INDEPENDENTS.

BUT BETWEEN SENATOR CLINTON AND McCAIN….

CLINTON LED McCAIN, 48-43 PERCENT,in February.

THE LATEST SURVEY SHOWED NEW YORK SENATOR WITH 48% SUPPORT to McCAIN 45%. Factoring in the poll’s margin of error of 3.1 percentage points, Clinton and McCain are statistically tied with a positive points for SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON…

TO ALL DEMOCRATS READ AND KNOW THESE FACTS>>>>

THIS IS THE VERY REASON WHY GOP HAS BEEN DOING THEIR BEST TO DESTROY HILLARY CLINTON>>>

Have you ever wonder ????? READ THESE FACTS>>>
WHY GOP surrogates such as FOX news, and other conservative Media personalities are doing all they can to destroy SENATOR CLINTON CAMP???

- RUSH LIMBAUGH - THE AUTHOR OF “OPERATION CHAOS” -”WHICH VERY PURPOSE IS to make an impression reverse to what was intended” - to trick and produce a perception upon the minds of Democrats supporters that SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON is only winning because of this operation, but in reality is trying to help BARRACK OBAMA to clinch the nomination.

-OUR APPEAL TO DNC LEADERSHIP AND ALL SUPERDELEGATES IS TO SUPPORT>>>….

- SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON IF YOU WANT TO WIN BACK THE WHITE HOUSE.

- SUPERDELEGATE SHOULD VOTE BASE ON THE VERY PURPOSE WHY WE CREATED YOU…

- WHICH IS TO ELECT THE MOST ELECTABLE CANDIDATE WHO CAN BEAT GOP CANDIDATE…

- YOUR LOYALTY SHOULD BE FOR THE “PARTY AS A WHOLE” AND NOT FOR ONE PERSON…

- AND TO AVOID ANOTHER YEARS OF BUSH-LIKE ADMINISTRATION…

-DNC LEADERS AND SUPERDELEGATES YOU ARE THE REAL HOPE OF OUR PARTY…

-IF WE LOSE THERE’S NOBODY TO BLAME BUT YOU!!!

The reason why I dislike mccain is because of the issues…..

not because of (as you state)

A) Don’t agree with his policies - ok you are good on that one
B) Don’t trust his rhetoric - borderline … I don’t trust McCain’s either

C) Don’t have faith in his experience - this administration is comprised of centuries of experience

Apparently Omentum is not going to give me an answer and I have to get ready for work so I will make one further point. Obama says one thing and then does another. For example Obama has constantly argued he is a champion for the struggling middle class and will work toward their interests. His website states “Obama will eliminate all income taxation of seniors” , “Obama will allow the federal government to negotiate for lower drug prices for the Medicare program”, and “Obama will work to give seniors choices about their care, consistent with their needs, and not biased towards institutional care.”

Yet he voted twice against repealing taxes on Social Security benefits. If you had a fraction of the intelligence of any of those people you listed, perhaps you could have said something intelligent about at least one of them. Absent that , you resort to meaningless trash talk. Go spray some obscenity on the side of a building.

seems like you are a water-carrier for those people. why don’t you shine us with your ounce of intelligence. please tell me something about them i don’t know. by the way, i would appreciate if you can type them in your comment rather than forwarding a link.

Show us your intelligence and prove that you are better man than those pinheads at MSNBC. PLEASE!

Good to know he’d have fired Mark Penn, but not Rev. Wright. *rollseyes*

Is this really a smart thing for him to be saying, considering that his campaign is also run by lobbiests with connections we’ve yet to hear about?

McCain ideology seems unclear, since he is shifting back and forth between pragmatism and ne-cons. Nonetheless the latter seem to habe some due influence lately, speech and questionnaire in hearings. Found that frustrating since no consistency, and sound like flip flops.
But now one component of the fractious Republican Party foreign policy establishment — the so-called pragmatists, some of whom have come to view the Iraq war or its execution as a mistake — is expressing concern that Mr. McCain might be coming under increased influence from a competing camp, the neoconservatives, whose thinking dominated President Bush’s first term and played a pivotal role in building the case for war.

Scott…

I honestly believe he was not going to get your vote anyway….and also… just because you say he’s going to do something doesn’t mean he is going to do it.

I know one thing…. He will be a heck a better president than McCain… I though Kerry was a flipflopper…. This guy takes the cake….. I don’t and most conservatives don’t have a clue of what this guy is going to be like …… Personally I think McCain is the most liberal candidate on both sides.

TO ALL DEMOCRATS READ THESE FACTS ABOUT GOP PLAN TO DESTROY HILLARY CLINTON>>>

Have you ever wonder ????? READ THESE FACTS>>>
WHY GOP surrogates such as FOX news, and other conservative Media personalities are doing all they can to destroy SENATOR CLINTON CAMP???

- RUSH LIMBAUGH - THE AUTHOR OF “OPERATION CHAOS” -”WHICH VERY PURPOSE IS to make an impression reverse to what was intended” - to trick and produce a perception upon the minds of Democrats supporters that SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON is only winning because of this operation. GOP surrogates planned to blackmail Senator Clinton supporters and wanted to destroy their Faith in supporting her. The real purpose of this Operation is to help BARRACK OBAMA to clinch the nomination because McCain can beat him handily and THEY KNOW THAT FOR A FACT!!!

TO ALL DEMOCRATS PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING FACTS>>>

Why the GOP Loves Obama

Republicans this week are breathing a deep sigh of relief.

What was seen as a washout for them this coming November — with big losses expected in the House and Senate and a catastrophic loss of the White House — is now shaping up to be less ominous.

With the Democrats moving to pick Sen. Barack Obama as their nominee, the Republicans see a real opportunity to keep the Oval Office in GOP hands.

There is no question that the Republicans had viewed Hillary Clinton as the most formidable of the Democratic candidates.

During one of the primary debates, Obama suggested that the Republicans were “comfortable” attacking Hillary, suggesting they actually wanted her to be the nominee. Au contraire.

Republicans were attacking Mrs. Clinton because they believed she would be the nominee. They could hardly foresee Obama’s rise.

Indeed, she was the Democratic front-runner and hence the focus of their attacks. Now, Obama is discovering that he’s the focus of Republican scrutiny, with John McCain highlighting Obama’s accommodationist views with tyrants.

The glee seen in GOP eyes this week can be chalked up to the clearly visible fault lines shaping up for the November election, a seismic battle between McCain and Obama.

There are many reasons the GOP would rather face Obama. Here are some of the best reasons:

Obama is the risky liberal. Every time the Democrats run a liberal like Obama, who the National Journal reports has a 100 percent liberal voting record, they lose.

Remember President McGovern, President Dukakis, President Kerry? Mrs. Clinton, however, has been quite clever in her record and rhetoric to come across as more moderate. In New York state she consistently won hardcore Republican districts in her two Senate races.

A McCain insider told me this week that Obama’s support — for example, for driver’s licenses for illegals — is worth at least “five percentage points in the election.” Mrs. Clinton was smart enough to back away from that hot-button issue.

Obama energizes Democratic voters. It’s been talked about quite a bit that Obama is a charismatic man who energizes young voters. But young voters notoriously don’t vote.

Remember all the hoopla in the last election with MTV and its “Vote or Die” campaign to bring out antiwar young voters for President Kerry?

Indeed, Obama, as the first African-American candidate of a major party, will energize black voters. But don’t the Democrats know that black voters vote as a bloc for them already?

What does Obama actually bring to the table for Democrats? It’s not clear. Mrs. Clinton, as her longtime critic Dick Morris likes to point out, would have most assuredly energized women voters, especially millions of single moms that have never voted before.

Obama’s Latino problem. Clearly Latino or Hispanic voters are shaping up to be the key swing vote in this election, as they have been in recent elections. Some political pundits say George Bush’s come-from-behind win in 2004 was due to the solid 40 percent of Hispanics who voted for him, tipping the election in his favor.

This year was shaping up to be a terrible year for the GOP vis-à-vis Hispanic voters. But in primary after primary, Obama has had great difficulty winning over Latino voters.

Even in Illinois, where he beat Hillary to 2 to 1 in the primary, he only captured 52 percent of his home state’s Hispanic vote.

There are a variety of explanations for Obama’s Latino problem, including the belief there is an ethnic rivalry between Hispanics and blacks. Hispanics would like to see a Latino president in the White House, so the theory goes.

Mrs. Clinton, on the other hand, has done extremely well among Latino voters, perhaps owing to her husband’s likeability among these voters.

The recent primaries show Obama improving with Hispanic voters. Republicans, however, believe the problem with this key group will persist.

And then there is John McCain, who is the one Republican who is very well liked by Latino voters. He’s also a strong leader, which Hispanics respect. He’s pro-immigrant. As we all know, McCain joined Ted Kennedy in backing the recent immigration bill.

There’s little doubt Hillary could keep the Democratic stranglehold on Latino voters. Obama won’t.

Obama’s naiveté. Don’t forget, America is still in a war on terror. It is doubtful America will be tempted to go for an untested leader, no matter how charismatic he may be.

Some have drawn the comparison between Obama and JFK’s election win in 1960 during the height of the Cold War. But the Kennedy-Obama comparison is a weak one. For starters, John Kennedy was a war hero when he was elected president. Obama can make no such claim. Kennedy also had far more Washington experience in Congress and the Senate than Obama.

JFK also had his well-known father Joe at his side. And Democrats like to forget this, but Kennedy outflanked Nixon on defense issues, arguing that Nixon was too soft on communism. Obama’s dovish complaints about the Bush administration being too hawkish on terror won’t resonate with middle-of-the-road voters.

With good reason, the GOP is feeling better, finding its second wind as it coalesces around John McCain.

Despite some differences with the maverick senator, the Republican base will turn out for him. His $12 million fundraising haul for January is just one sign of that.

But there are many other reasons the GOP is more comfortable with Hillary out of the picture and Obama as the nominee.

First, Obama will not be able to lay claim to the good economic times of the 1990s that Bill Clinton presided over, as Hillary can. And Obama will be a nightmare for Democrats with swing voters in key states. Take for example the highly influential Cuban-American vote that Bill Clinton won in 1992 and 1996 — and was the key reason George Bush beat Al Gore.

The Cuban vote has been moving into the Democratic column but they will not go for Obama because he has clearly stated he will open up relations with Castro.

Sen. Clinton’s announced Cuba policies take a hard line, which resonates with these voters. And then there are the key Jewish communities in swing states like Florida and Ohio that are already deeply worried about electing Obama to the presidency.

Obama has talked openly about sitting down — without any preconditions — with Iran’s diabolical leader Ahmadinejad, who just this week referred to Israel as “bacteria” and has said in the past that the Jewish state is a “disgraceful blot” that should be “wiped off the map.”

With the McCain campaign blanketing key markets with TV ads featuring “independent Democrat” Sen. Joseph Lieberman, Obama will be in deep trouble.

The Democrats haven’t completely abandoned Hillary. But it sure looks that way.

There’s an oft-quoted saying that the Democrats “fall in love and Republicans fall in line.”

After this November, we may have to change that to “Democrats often like to run off the side of a cliff and the Republicans love to watch them.”

OUR APPEAL TO DNC LEADERSHIP AND ALL SUPERDELEGATES IS TO SUPPORT….
