Clinton slams Obama for being out of touch
done
Philadelphia, PA– Sen. Hillary Clinton jabbed her Democratic rival today for comments he made last week in which he argued that “small town” Americans turn to guns, religion and xenophobia as a result of hard economic times.
“It’s being reported that my opponent said that the people of Pennsylvania who faced hard times are bitter. Well that’s not my experience,” Clinton said during a town hall meeting at Drexel University Friday. “As I travel around Pennsylvania, I meet people who are resilient, who are optimistic, who are positive, who are rolling up their sleeves. They’re working hard everyday for a better future, for themselves and their children. Pennsylvanians don’t need a President who looks down on them, who fights for them, who works for your futures, your jobs, your families.”
Obama reportedly made the comments at San Francisco fundraiser last Sunday according to a report on the Huffington Post web site.
He reportedly said: “You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them…and they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.” No comment as of yet from the Obama campaign.
The McCain campaign also immediately chimed in on the Obama comments today.
“It is a remarkable statement and extremely revealing,” said McCain senior adviser Steve Schmidt. “It shows an elitism and condescension towards hardworking Americans that is nothing short of breathtaking. It is hard to imagine someone running for President who is more out of touch with average Americans.”
Schmidt continued: “This statement demonstrates that he will have great difficulty connecting because it’s clear he holds the people he’s describing with some measure of contempt. The condescension and elitism inherent in the statement is remarkable. The notion that because people are in a tough economy, that’s why they go to church, thats why they have guns, that’s why they’re anti -immigrant–it is a remarkable series of condescensions towards the heart and soul of this country. The people who live in small town America and I think people will resent it and be very angry about it because that is not how most Americans view themselves.”
((With reporting from Bonney Kapp in Lubbock, TX))
UPDATE: FNC’s Aaron Bruns reports the first Obama campaign semi-response: “Senator Obama has said many times in this campaign that Americans are understandably upset with their leaders in Washington for saying anything to win elections while failing to stand up to the special interests and fight for an economic agenda that will bring jobs and opportunity back to struggling communities. And if John McCain wants a debate about who’s out of touch with the American people, we can start by talking about the tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans that he once said offended his conscience but now wants to make permanent,” Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor said.

My obsession rages on…
Throughout this election, it has become my obsession to say as many negative things about Mike Huckabee as my imagination can come up with. My vehement hatred for the man all stems from one question that he casually posed to a NY Times reporter (who claimed to know a lot about Mormonism) about whether or not Mormons believe that Jesus and Lucifer were brothers. As a Mormon, I do believe that Jesus and Lucifer were brothers. However, my bishop (at the ward I attend) instructs us to conceal such ‘deeper doctrines’ because people outside of the LDS Church just don’t understand such truths, and their unwillingness to accept them only jeopardizes our attempts to market ourselves as a Christian religion. In any event, I will go on hating Huckabee for a million eternities, because I am so insecure in my own faith that I have no other choice but to hate him with a demonic passion. Instead, as a temple-worthy Mormon (complete with magic underpants), I support wholeheartedly and without reservation my fellow cult member, Mitt Romney. If only he were elected President (or at least Vice President) then maybe my false religion would gain some credibility and people would no longer think us as a cult. Of course, you bozos in Eldorado, Texas are complicating matters greatly by actually following the teachings of our founder/prophet, Joseph Smith. Us mainline Mormons are smart enough to hide the less attractive aspects of our religion (such as polygamy, our aspirations to godhood, secret temple ceremonies including the handshake that gets you into heaven, magic underwear, etc.) instead of flaunting them like this splinter group of Mormons in Texas.
All Mormons (and others of equally deficient IQs), I would encourage you to follow my lead…
Say it with me…
HUCAKBEE IS THE DEVIL; ROMNEY IS GOD…HUCAKBEE IS THE DEVIL; ROMNEY IS GOD…HUCAKBEE IS THE DEVIL; ROMNEY IS GOD…HUCAKBEE IS THE DEVIL; ROMNEY IS GOD…HUCAKBEE IS THE DEVIL; ROMNEY IS GOD…HUCAKBEE IS THE DEVIL; ROMNEY IS GOD…
The more often you repeat this mantra (as is the case when you bear your testimony as a Mormon), the more convinced you will become of its truthfulness. Say it a few times and see if, you too, do not get a burning feeling in your bosom to verify its validity.
“Clinton Slams Obama”???
I thought he only did fat, white, female interns.
Just another tiny peek into the real thoughts and feelings of the Obamas. Barack Obama doesn’t have a clue about the working class Americans.
This man is scary. I hope how soon people start to put the puzzle together that is Obama.
PROUDMALE - You guys are so jealous of Bill Clinton. Some 22 year old intern came to Washington with her knee pads on and you can’t get over it. She was on a mission and must
say accomplished it!!! She did the same thing to her professor at college in Oregon but wasn’t
smart enough to save the evidence. Get over it and move on!!!
Becki…are you wearing knee pads?
Obama at San Francisco fundraiser Sunday:
You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them…And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.
And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
Wow.
After first taking another swipe at the previous Democratic administration, he basically says that the residents of small-town Pennsylvania are bitter, gun-toting, churchy, xenophobic protectionists?
Considering that he’s not doing well among the people of small-town Pennsylvania, I suppose this was his explanation of why. I guess he figured that behind closed doors at an elite fundraiser in San Francisco he could share his real feelings…then turn around and be a “regular guy” touring factories and bowling back in small-town Pennsylvania.
What Obama really said is now taken out of context by Camp clinton who are so desperate….
Full transcript of Obama’s coment:
OBAMA: So, it depends on where you are, but I think it’s fair to say that the places where we are going to have to do the most work are the places where people most cynical about government. The people are mis-appre…they’re misunderstanding why the demographics in our, in this contest have broken out as they are. Because everybody just ascribes it to white working-class don’t wanna work — don’t wanna vote for the black guy. That’s…there were intimations of that in an article in the Sunday New York Times today - kind of implies that it’s sort of a race thing.
Here’s how it is: in a lot of these communities in big industrial states like Ohio and Pennsylvania, people have been beaten down so long. They feel so betrayed by government that when they hear a pitch that is premised on not being cynical about government, then a part of them just doesn’t buy it. And when it’s delivered by — it’s true that when it’s delivered by a 46-year-old black man named Barack Obama, then that adds another layer of skepticism.
But — so the questions you’re most likely to get about me, ‘Well, what is this guy going to do for me? What is the concrete thing?’ What they wanna hear is so we’ll give you talking points about what we’re proposing — to close tax loopholes, uh you know uh roll back the tax cuts for the top 1%, Obama’s gonna give tax breaks to uh middle-class folks and we’re gonna provide healthcare for every American.
But the truth is, is that, our challenge is to get people persuaded that we can make progress when there’s not evidence of that in their daily lives. You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
Um, now these are in some communities, you know. I think what you’ll find is, is that people of every background — there are gonna be a mix of people, you can go in the toughest neighborhoods, you know working-class lunch-pail folks, you’ll find Obama enthusiasts. And you can go into places where you think I’d be very strong and people will just be skeptical. The important thing is that you show up and you’re doing what you’re doing.
If you read the article in which Obama talks with James Hoffa of the Teamster’s Union, you will find much the same read. He explained in an interview how frustrated union workers are in Pennsylvania.
How is this different? I don’t interpret his comment to be condescending? It does imply that the Clintons didn’t do anything to help these people during their administration. I don’t necessarily agree with that, and that might be why they are so upset, but he was stating what he observed.
If he has to defend it, I am sure he will. There will be plenty who will agree with it.
How do you start this? If you are not from Chicago(which I personally love) , New York, Philly, Boston, ect. Then you are a “infantile ,God loving, zealot that cannot let go of his/her smith and wesson?Well ,obama, we all gotta duck when the s it hits the fan.Duck!
It is good to know that you do not cherish anyone except your elite nut jobs that associate with the likes of the revered huffington post. Wow, nothing like a 40 mil hit? I say f__k You!
Chicago is great, but, you leave a disgraceful mark on it!

I saw Obama in person and he is arrogant and could not wait to get on the stage and then off the stage and on to bigger and better things. He is as slippery as a fox. The outer surface is peeling
away and soon people will see he is a shell of a human being. Thank God it will all come out soon. He is not Presidential material.
Lunch pail folks?
Patricia……….people had good jobs during the Clinton adminstration.
skit of Obama - Jedi Master

clinton did not take this out of contex , niether did the media. he said what he said, he does look down on people , he thinks he is better.he does not know what it is like to work hard , so those who do he should not judge.just another prime example on his judgement in people.the ones he should judge badly he dosent, and the people that are good people he judges them wrong.obama is a fraud and the truth about him is comeing out on him little bit by bit.
This Scavenger Obama’s words each and every day never cease to amaze me. Can he not open his mouth anymore without sticking his foot in it and say something totally stupid and ignorant?
So many uneducated people here. You read and then you read some more. You feel that the more you read the better educated you’re going to be. Well when you read you must comprehend what you are reading. Try and see what the person is actually saying. In my opinion he is pointing out the obvious. When people struggle they will do whatever is necessary to survive. If you lose your job, a loved one, your home, your life savings you need to find something else to fill that void. Some uneducated choose guns and the ways of the streets. Some find a place in the church and pray to God to make their lives better. The bitter part comes from these people being told to “pull up their sleeves”, who are “optomistic” who are told to stay “positive” but, and I mean BUT they have been told this for how many years? SO low and behold Barack makes these comments and people are in an outrage. You people need to understand that whomever you vote for whether it be for President, Senate, Congress, Mayor etc… That if they are not doing their “JOB” you have the right to impeach these individuals. With all this talk about jobless people in the midwest and small towns in PA maybe those people could take sometime and get rid of the indivuals that aren’t doing there part!!
Glow,
Maybe he is stupid , ignorant, and most of all arrogant !
At least Obama doesn’t have multiple wives including young teens like your (conservative Republican’s) candidate of choice, Mitt Romney.
A lot of “good” jobs disapeared by the end of Clinton Admin. Pensions lost. 401s lost. Stock market down. Un-employment and taxes higher than now.
Ohoh. The gay newspaper in PA is mad at Obama. Wouldn’t give them an interview.
Bill is out “helping” Hillary lose again. Someone once said Bill Safire, I think, that the Clintons are pathological liars. Well, duh, like we didn’t know.

Please watch this video. I am still laughing!!
You have never seen Fox News Men looking so hot!!!
Good comment Trina. That is how I feel exactly.
People deal with frustration in so many different ways. AND frustration is out there. Hopefully the future will get brighter once we get through this economic downturn.
I believe today marks the first day in which McCain psychologically picked who he believes he wants the Democratic nominee to be in November. Obama, with his “FOOT IN THE MOUTH DISEASE” each and every time he speaks, is evidence that McCain knows that he’s very beatable. Obama can now be likened to an old, beat up car which is driving down the highway, first with the two doors falling off, the next day with the bumpers falling off, and the day after with his muffler falling off…..each part equivalent to his campaign which is falling apart in front of America’s eyes….. one piece at a time, piece by piece. Apparently Obama cannot handle the heat anymore and he’s starting to crack under pressure and he certainly didn’t expect it to be so difficult because this is the first time in Obama’s life that he has been challenged by two tuff opponents. I truly believe that McCain believes that Obama is the easier of the two candidates to beat in November and only two months ago……..NO WAY……but now this campaign is a horse of a different color. GO OBAMA…..KEEP TALKING AND KEEP FALLING APART, ONE PIECE AT A TIME!
Yes sir Obama THe Magic Negro and his media cult can sabotage the democratic nomination. But he will never get his durty hands on the white house because every one of us hillary’s supporters will vote for Mc Cain not out of anger Because “WE KNOW BETTER” and this “Magic Negro” is running out of excuses.
Obama says small town people cling to their guns and religion because of bitterness?
I heard Obama was anti-guns…..
Obama hasn’t got a clue to how small town people think or what they feel.
We the voters are getting tiny bits and pieces of who Obama really is,
a little at a time. If the main steam Obama loving media would do their
jobs, Obama’s reign would be over.
I live in a small town and I resent what Obama says about us.
BO can not help it. It fits his true feelings, just like the “tipcial White person”. Again stereo type casting his view of middle class working folks. Sad too Sad. Michelle Obama is much worst and I assure you she did not miss one work of Rev Wrights speaches. She should be ask how she feels about those comments or should I say beliefs. NOT FIRST LADY MATERIAL by any strech of the imagination.
Obama and his racist, anti -American wife need to just go away.
We small town “Folks” like our guns and our relgion, we aren’t clinging to them
in bitterness.
How would Obama know what we in small towns feel?? There he was talking
to a bunch of rich California fund raisers about “us poor little, bitter
people clinging to our guns and religion”.
Well “scrue” you Obama and your american hating wife.
Superdelegates not too late to change your mind, and save you careers by supporting a candidate that has no chance of win anything going forward. When Hillary is nominated we will see how good he as a uniter or bitter that he was discovered for who he is.
AA commundity still loves Hillary anyway and will vote for her when she is nominated, so will many who realized the made a mistake early in the primaries when he was an unknown.
Either way he can not win come November.
If the Democrats keep knocking the U.S. on everything, and think our country is in the tank on all of the issues they raise, like the economy, housing crisis, war crisis, immigration crisis, energy crisis, education crisis and whatever else they claim Bush is responsible for, why aren’t they blowing McCain away in the polls?
If Bush is leaving the U.S. with a huge mess, as the Democrats claim, could it be that “Character” means a whole lot more than all of these other issues?
McCain will win the character issue against either of them, and thus the general election.
End Game,
RIGHT!! His comments about “typical white people” is just another example of how he
really feels.
People don’t cling to guns and religion beacuse they are bitter. What a stupid remark.
Small town people will have their say in this election!
Barry,
McCain is not the cleanest guy in the world or even cleanest candidate. He unfortunately is following the most corrupted adminstration we have seen in years. History will show how we were lied to prior to entering Irag, off course it too late. We broke it, now some one else has to fix it. too sad.
Obama’s Dubious Affiliations
There is no way a white man with the same background and credentials as Obama could ever be elected to any office in this country.
Look at Obama’s affiliations:
- Senator Meeks who openly hates whites and gays and is listed on Obama’s campaign website as a major Obama supporter and backer and is one of Obama;s super-delegate. Mr. Meeks has been integral in helping Mr. Obama succeed in politics.
- Larry Sinclair claims in 1999 Senator Obama’s arranged to meet him in a limousine, sold Senator Obama cocaine and then gave Senator Obama oral sex. Subsequently Larry and Obama went to a hotel and preformed oral sex again. Mr. Sinclair is testifying in court under oath that these allegations are true.
- Mr. Auchi is an Iraqi billionaire and major financial sponsor for Obama’s rise to power throughout the past years.
While working with Saddam Hussein, Auchi made his fortune through the selling of arms in Iraq and the funneling of money from the Oil for Food program (no wonder Obama voted against invading Iraq). Mr. Auchi should have been tried along side Saddam Hussein for his crimes against humanity.
- Mr. Wright is a racist who hates America and whites with Hitleresque triads. Mr. Wright has been Mr. Obama’s spiritual mentor for over 20 years. Before the media exposed Mr. Wright, Mr. Wright was on Obama’s campaign staff as Obama’s chief religious advisor. Mr. Wright and Mr. Meeks are ideologically closer to Karl Marx and Black Nationalism, than to Christianity.
- Mr. Rezko is Obama’s long time friend and a major mob figure. Rezko is NOT known for his civic sense of duty and does not do favors without asking something in return.
- Mr. Ayers of the Weather Underground, a group that killed police and tried to bomb the US Capitol, served with Obama on the board of the leftist foundation called the Woods Fund.
- Mr. McPeaks is Obama’s military adviser and national campaign co-chairman who claims that American Jews are the “problem.” and “Christian Zionists were driving America’s policy in Iraq to benefit Israel.”
- Michelle Obama trumpets Obama as “the second coming of the messiah,” and also states that she “has never been proud to be an AMERICAN in her adult life”.
The list goes on…
How can Obama’s bad judgment to choose to affiliate with criminals and fanatics be justified?
Had Hillary Clinton had any of the above ghosts in her closet, she would have been thrown out of the election long ago.
Hey everybody - am I missing something here?
It seems to me that perhaps instead of electing Obama president, it would be easier if we just shot ourselves in our collective foot.
PA, WV, KY and IN and NC small towns should tell him don’t bother coming because we know how you feel, and stay with your elite supporters.
African American communities will return to Hillary once she is nominated, Clinton’s always cared for them unconditionally. Unfortunately most currently feel the need to vote for him regardless of his abilities.
The fight now is with the elite money driving Obama campaign and they can control him should he get elected, that is not the case with Hillary and they know it. We shall see if the people will prevail and the popular vote will prevail including FL and MI. Unfortunately Superdelegates may be part of the elite money. You notice Obama is selling the opposit image because he is supported by same quiet money in the same political format, chicago style.
Sad reality of politics.
End Game
Why is it then that McCain is even close in the polls to either of these candidates? I am merely trying to figure out why neither Obama or Clinton aren’t way ahead in the polls if we are coming off of the most corrupt administration as you say, or after being lied to as you say, or being in a mess on everything the Democrats can think of. Is there an issue that the Democrats think is going well with the country?
My point is this. If this country is in the shape these candidates are portraying it to be with all of these issues, why isn’t McCain being blown away in the polls. After all, we know that McCain is only going to give us four more years of Bush, right? There must be something else other than issues causing him to do so well. What else do you feel it could be, if not for character, to explain this?
I’m not saying McCain is a saint, but I think when you put him to the character test against these two Democratic candidates, he may look like one.
If you are bitter it`s better to cling to guns and religion, than turn to drugs and crime. He needs to get his nose out of the sky, so he can see what the f-k is going on.
MIG 7:11pm, Great post. That example says it all.

Beg pardon? “Most corrupted administration in years”.
History has already shown that we were NOT lied to. Even the MSM was forced to report the facts presented by the UK, German, French and Russian intelligence services. Of course, they sort of mumbled it quietly, under their breath, but they reported it. Too bad you missed it.
It was an INTEL FAILURE, not a lie.
As for corruption, please draw out the details. More corrupt than Slick WIllie’s administration? Are you kidding? Can you say “Ron Brown”? And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Finally there is somebody brave enough to speak the truth. Its true that folks are bitter and angry and frustrated. For anybody to say that what Obama said was wrong will mean, to me,that the person is not being truthful or just simply hate Barack Obama. Just think about this:homes are being foreclosed, jobs are being lost, real income is going down, rural areas are being devasted by empoyers shipping jobs outside and for anybody to imply that we are not bitter will imply the person leaving in fools paradise. Yes we are bitter, angry and are breaking point. Barack is right once again. It takes guts to voice out the truth. And sometimes the truth hurt, but its the truth anyway. For MacCain and Hilary to attack Barack makes me want to throw up. Somebody whose wife is multimillionaire, and another who made 109 million in 8 years to attack Obama who has not even seen four million in his life is very funny indeed!

Obama degrades God N’ Guns in small towns??!! We’ve seen from his pastor what kind of “God” there is in LARGE CITIES, as for the guns part, I’d say even HE would feel safer in a small town full of guns & “whitey” , than walking down the street of any central city…there’s GUNS in small towns??..Of course, like the ones in large cities…the difference is some 16 year old gang member is actually USING the gun in “Obamas Hood”
What Barack Obama said was true, he wasn’t being condescending at all. When we feel we have no power in our lives, ie job gone, stricken with poverty, we delve even deeper into our faith, or blaming, or whatever. We all do that. It’s true.
Obama shot himself in the foot. After the comments were leaked he had the ‘deer caught in the headlights’ look, because he never knew that tape recorders were there. Behind closed doors with his wealthy elitist campaign contributors he reveals his true feelings. Let’s see… to fix this he is going to give another calculated speech complete with a backdrop of a dozen flying American flags..
I think that ni gger should apoligize for the comments Im a small town citzen with a gun and im not afraid to use it

Adjaloo,
Do have a clue how repulsive BO’s comment was? How utterly insulting it was to small town America.
The essence of what he did was to reduce some of their core beliefs to nothing more than a foolish reaction to the unemployment situation. What in the world does owning guns or going to church have to do with the broken promises of politicians past?
So let’s see…
Obama hates white people
Obama hates his granny
Obama hates religion (unless it is adressed to ONLY black people)
Obama loves late term abortions
Obama hates low taxes
Obama hates America (hangs out with terrorist Aryes)
Obama hates people who work hard and make good money
Obama hates children, says they are a punishment and puts them in the same category as STDs
Obama hates people in small towns, stereo types them as gun loving, racist, religious nuts
what else did I misss, anyone else wanna add to the list?
OBAMA’S ARROGANT AND CONDESCENDING ATTITUDE TOWARD SMALL TOWN AMERICA IS SHOCKING. WILL HE SUCCEED IN DANCING HIS WAY AROUND THIS ONE?
HILLARY’S SKELETONS HAVE LONG BEEN OUT OF THE CLOSET, OBAMA’S ARE NOT >>>>

Read my comments above again.
Yes, many people in the US are upset over the unemployment situation.
How does that have ANYTHING to do with “clinging to religion” or clinging to guns?
His statement reveals his thoughts about those topics. He holds gun rights and religion in contempt.
Joan, So you are saying all people in small towns believe in god because they hate immigrants? Are you saying you are going to agree to stereo type people like THAT? WHAT A DOUBLE STANDARD.
Guess we’ll be seeing a speach on the fact that we need a national discussion on small town folks that believe in god and how that is damaging to the U.S.A.
speech*
Joan,
Try this on for size:
“You go into these ghettos in South Central and Detroit, the welfare has been gone now for 7 years and nothing’s replaced it. It was removed under Clinton and Bush has continued to withhold it.
And it’s not surprising then the blacks get bitter, they cling to criminality and pimping, senseless violence, broken families and hating whitey, Latinos, or anyone else that’s trying to take what’s left of their entitlements as a way to explain their frustrations.
Pretty empathic, huh? Do you admire me?
I get your point very well, but you are failing to use your analytical mind to discern what Obama means. First of all when people get disappointed in life what do they do? Some commits suicide, others resort to drinking, yet others even divorce their partners just because of immense failure arising out of all these socio-economic failures. In rural communities people just lose faith in goverment and therefore recoil into themselves. Its true, they stick to their religion praying and hoping that the great God of wonders will intervene in their lives. They stick to their hobbies, hunting with their guns and whiling away their time. Just take basic studies about Africa and other developing countries and exact same phenomenon takes place every single day. Out of hopelessness, the majority of the citizens on the continent just have given up on their government and all what they think of is finding some ways to flee the continent to seek greener pastures in europe or America. Over population is occuring because folks just have nothing to do but go home and seek pleasure in their partners, as a way of taking off the preasure, resulting in more birth and more problem. In effect its their reaction to what is happening in their countries. And in America the rural areas react differently just as Barack pointed out. Its just natural human reaction to societal occurance and Barack is right

Bunk! You are using your analytical mind to try to excuse and inexcusable statement with convoluted garbage. As they say, “If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with baloney”.
Adjaloo,
You obama cult members will explain ANYTHING he says. He could promise to bomb New York and you would defend him. You are making yourself look like a CHUMP
Obama needs to know, that the small town usa is a lot of votes, and those votes are going to HIllary Clinton, someone who understands the small towns, and someone who cares about those small town people. BO, take yourself off with your snobby friends, who hates the “typical white people”, small town people, and take your preacher with you!!! We don’t need YOU to lead our country, we need Hillary Clinton! And, that’s who the nominee is going to be.
The news media is who has put BO in the spotlight, well, look to the grass root people, and you wll see the truth, Hillary is leading and the “small town” people are working hard to get her elected as our next President, someone who cares about our country and the needs we have. The news media are bias and use polls that always show her behind, well, check out the other polls and you will see her ahead.
Where is there mention in the news that she has three new Super delegates??? No where. If it had been Obama, then it would be headline news, but since it’s for Hillary, no mention of it all.
Where is the headline of the protest against the bias news media today in NYC? No where. If it had been for Obama, again headline news, but since it’s for HIllary, no mention of it at all.
Where is the headline of Elton John raising 2.5 million dollars for Hillary in NYC? No where. If it had been for Obama, again headline news, again, no where, because it was for Hillary.
Of course, Oprah was being shown supporting him today on the news.
CNN, FOX, AND MSNBC, you are not going to win. WE know you want Obama to win, because you know he cannot beat McCain, and you know without a doubt Hillary can and will win. But, you are counting out the smart people in the USA, we are, we will continue to fight for her all the way to the White House.
HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT!!!

You are closer than you realize when you say support Obama even if he were to bomb. Isn’t this close to what the Ayers affiliation is all about?
Sometimes I wonder how gullible we are. We always believe those who run for the presidency do it for Noble reasons, to better the country, to give back to the country that gave them so much, patriotic duty. Is it possible that the day will come when someone runs for a sinister reason?
[...] warmed up, Obama lit into his rivals and their attacks. “Here’s what’s rich,” he said. “Senator Clinton says, ‘well, I don’t [...]
OBAMA: So, it depends on where you are, but I think it’s fair to say that the places where we are going to have to do the most work are the places where people feel most cynical about government. The people are mis-appre…I think they’re misunderstanding why the demographics in our, in this contest have broken out as they are. Because everybody just ascribes it to ‘white working-class don’t wanna work — don’t wanna vote for the black guy.’ That’s…there were intimations of that in an article in the Sunday New York Times today - kind of implies that it’s sort of a race thing.
Here’s how it is: in a lot of these communities in big industrial states like Ohio and Pennsylvania, people have been beaten down so long, and they feel so betrayed by government, and when they hear a pitch that is premised on not being cynical about government, then a part of them just doesn’t buy it. And when it’s delivered by — it’s true that when it’s delivered by a 46-year-old black man named Barack Obama (laugher), then that adds another layer of skepticism (laughter).
But — so the questions you’re most likely to get about me, ‘Well, what is this guy going to do for me? What’s the concrete thing?’ What they wanna hear is — so, we’ll give you talking points about what we’re proposing — close tax loopholes, roll back, you know, the tax cuts for the top 1 percent. Obama’s gonna give tax breaks to middle-class folks and we’re gonna provide health care for every American. So we’ll go down a series of talking points.
So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
To anyone, I live in a small town in Missouri with very little economic growth. Everyone I know goes to church, and we all have guns. I`m pretty sure we would still cling to both, even if we won the lottery. People around here stretch a dollar pretty far. We raise and butcher or own hogs, chickens. and beef. We hunt for meat, but also to get away from the worries of the day. We go to church for the strength that fellowship brings. We manage to get by without hurting anyone in the process, unlike in other parts of the country. Some would rather sling dope for money, or climb through my window while I`m at work. Or even worse, just wallow in their bitterness and do nothing to remedy the problem. So Obama is calling the wrong segment of society bitter. Sure small towns in America get bitter, but we don`t make it other peoples problem.
Barry,
Right. William Ayers bombed the pentegon, and many other buildings. He says he is not
sorry and wishes he had done more.
Obama’s campaign says Obama is still friendly with Ayers.
Obama sure doesn’t show good judgment when picking friends.
Talk about “boneheaded”……….oh wait that was the Rezco friendship, or maybe it was Wright??
No, I believe it was The Black Panther Party, or Al Sharpton?
Whatever, you get my point.
sign me a
small towner who loves ma guns and church

Very well said!
Americans cling to the 1st and 2nd amendments not from bitterness.
I resent how Barack Hussein Obama has put our basic values in the same
negative context as “anti-immigration sentiment”, “antipathy” and bitterness.
This guy is bad news for our freedoms.
I hope the rest of Small Town America can see his true colors now.
The issue isn’t so much whether or not the people of Pennsylvania are bitter, the issue is an idiot running for President that wants to earn the votes to get to the White House had the audacity to call them bitter.
Bill Clinton went the smart route when he was running for President, telling people “I feel your pain” and you know what, most of us believe till this day that he did and does still.
I believe Hillary feels the pain that many people have to live with in our society these days because of the tough times they face, but going through the strenuous days of campaining I know she draws strength from the faith, courage and support of those people she encounters each day. That is what keeps her fighting to win, so she can get to the White House and give back to those same people and make some changes to end some of the pain her supporters live with.
I have never “clung” to my gun. I hold it gently but firmly and with purpose.
I don’t attend church because I am bitter.
Here in this part of the state, many originally came from eastern Ky. and we don’t appreciate
a black racist, putting us down.
This really hurts because I was the biggest Obama supporter out there in Scranton. I have donated about $2000 to the Obama campaign that I now wish I could have back. Ok, I let the comment about your grandmother slide, I saw your perspective. But this comment is too much. Religion is a symptom of a despondent, depressed America? Does Obama think he is Karl Marx? Say it isn’t so, really, say it isn’t so. I don’t believe a word you say anymore, and I will be e-mailing Mr Axelrod for a refund tonight.
Obama, was speaking the truth. Not one of you all, that is negativley making comments about what Obama had said had not walk the street of Pennsylvania and listened to the voters expressing unhappeness and bitterness about the lost of thier jobs and how to cope. and the voters were expressing how going to Church and going Hunting was a way they can get thier minds off of the Bush Admistration that cause this country situatations and the Clintons’s NAFTA Situations and the Government promise alot and delivers little voters are unhappy bitter. I had a friend that lived in Pennsylvania. Peope come on,Do you really think people are happy of jobs are lost. The people hearts that is right will understand what Obama wa
