Pfft. I have listened to a ton of his speeches. They are very inspiring, moving…the man is a great speaker. I disagree with him, however and despite his charm and eloquence I cannot vote for a man whose actions do not match his words to such an alarming degree. The guy says one thing on the trail but you look at his voting record and it’s shows the exact opposite time and time again. Hillary is nearly as bad. To be fair McCain has some contradictions between his rhetoric and his voting as well but no where near as bad as Hillary or Obama.

I know it makes no sense to me. The last guy that ran on the platform of “vote for me and I will raise your taxes” was Walter Mondale. That worked well. LOL. i think all of you OBAMA SUPPORTERS would be better advised to find a way to check the methods you use for making those determinations. I see these methods:

One told me he was struck by the current polls showing a dead-even race, suggesting both a surprising openness to McCain among Americans who disapprove of Bush and a striking hesitation among the same voters about Obama.

Then there’s the fact that we’re at war. As a Congressional staffer put it, “Here’s something to consider: Although Hillary will be out in May, she may determine the outcome in November. McCain’s secret weapon — among Clinton supporters — may be Hillary’s 3 a.m. national security ad.”

And an experienced Democratic operative e-mailed: “Finally, I think [McCain’s] going to win. Obama isn’t growing in stature. Once I thought he could be Jimmy Carter, but now he reminds me more of Michael Dukakis with the flag lapel thing and defending Wright. Plus he doesn’t have a clue how to talk to the middle class. He’s in the Stevenson reform mold out of Illinois, with a dash of Harvard disease thrown in.”

In overly simplistic terms society might be better served allowing the liberals to say where we want to go and allowing the Republicans to determine how to get there. Certainly there are fundamental differences that such a situation would not work with, but in my opinion I believe the Democrats have some great ideas but their methodology sucks, while the Republicans have great methodology but need to remember that we could be doing far more in regards to improving society.

The fact is, we are at war already!
Deal with today and tomorrow!
It’s what we do now that makes the difference!
McCain’s plan for the situation makes more sense than an abrupt pull-out!
We went there. We changed their world! We have an obligation to secure that country, to avoid a total collapse!
If we do not finish the job, 4,ooo +, American soldiers will have died in vain!
Millions of Iraqi citizens will suffer the consequence of a half-assed pull-out!
Let the soldiers achieve the objective they started out to do!
Let the Iraqis have peace before we leave!

I guess you people who are talking up the Iraq war, must have missed reading the articles on how we are accepting 12-14,000 displaced Iraqi’s this year alone. This number will rise 10x in the years to come (this wars gonna go on for along time). The Countries who were generous accepting the refugees (Sweden, Denmark, England) have stopped accepting them or in the process of doing so. So guess who’s going to take up the slack. Bush has commited us to doing just that.

So there goes that arguement of fighting them ther so we don’t have to fight them here. The terrorists don’t even have to sneak in anymore. They will be flown in here, housed, educated, given food stamps and other social services all on you”re tax dollar

I wonder how many disenchanted muslims there will be in the first 14,000. Right now there’s still alot more people that want out of that country then are going back.
