On The Road Again: Hillary Hits Pennsylvania, Talks Economy
Senator was back in Pennsylvania today for the first time in a week, continuing the focus on economic issues with a roundtable in Harrisburg where she addressed the president’s plan to overhaul the financial regulatory system. “Today the administration, through the Secretary of the Treasury, has announced that finally the Bush administration is going to take some action to better regulate the financial markets,” she said. “After years of a ‘wait and don’t see’ approach to the regulatory failures that led to the housing and the credit crisis, they have announced a plan that comes late and falls short.”
“No amount of rearranging the deck chairs can hide the fact that our housing and credit markets are in crisis and they are sinking deeper everyday. Everyday we fail to take aggressive action is a day lost.”
She also ripped into John McCain for his economic myopia. “Senator McCain recently gave a speech on the economy. And best I can determine, His plan was not to have a plan. If he got the 3am call on the economy, he would just let the phone ring and ring and ring.”
McCain may have been fair game, but Clinton declined to go after her Democratic rival — leaving that task to her supporter, Harrisburg Mayor Stephen Reed. “Senator Clinton didn’t just show up on our doorstep in 2008 and said ‘I’d like to be president because I think it’d be a neat thing,’” he said. “She’s been busy working for us for years and years and years and frankly, I’m getting a little tired of people who try not to give her credit for that.”
“Senator Clinton has been working for us and it didn’t start when she became a candidate for president. It didn’t even start when she became a candidate for the United States Senate in our neighboring state. She’s a Pennsylvanian who cares about American values and Pennsylvania values.”
But in a series of TV interviews, Clinton herself questioned why her Democratic opponent want her to drop out. “I didn’t understand why Senator Obama and some of his supporters wanted to prevent you and other states from actually being able to vote,” she told a Wilmington, NC television station. “A lot of Sen. Obama’s supporters want to end this race because they don’t want people to keep voting,” Clinton said in an interview with a television station in Billings, MT. “People don’t want this election taken away from them by the media or somebody sitting in an office in Washington.”
Sen Clinton later told a crowd in the Philadelphia area that she had no intentions of dropping out of the race. “This is a momentous election, and I know that we have three people, Senator McCain, Senator Obama and myself and all of you who are voters in Pennsylvania have to make a choice, first now in the Democratic primary, and then in the general election,” she said. “I see that sign out there that says please don’t quit. Well one thing you know about me is I do not quit. I believe this country is worth standing up for, this country is worth fighting for, and this country is sure worth voting for on April 22nd”
Meanwhile, Gov Ed Rendell compared the race to the NCAA tournament. “There are people out there who say we shouldn’t vote in Pennsylvania. That we should end this campaign now,” he said, as the crowd booed at the very thought. “Thats as ridiculous a thing as I’ve ever heard. This is a basketball game and we’re about two points behind with eight minutes to go. And we’re going to come back and win this thing.”

Er, Ah, Jacksmith…you have it backward. The Republicans are voting NOT for Obama, but FOR Hillary in the primaries. WHY? simply because many of us can’t get very enthused about our candidate. (Actually you DEMS and moderates SHOULD love McCain). We WANT the DEM campaign to continue ALL THE WAY to the convention.
Picture this, the GOP convention…a snoozefest where all GOP bigwigs will “rally” around a RINO,
(Republican In Name Only”.) But now picture the DEM convention. Denver, Colorado and swat team officers on hand for the riot you KNOW is coming. Bill & Hillary trying to make back door deals with delegates, Obama whining and throwing out the usual “race card”. Perhaps Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton on hand stepping outside the convention hall to “co-ordinate the bused in soon to be rioters”, the rioters busy outside sizing up electronics stores to see how big an HDTV they can carry out of the smashed store windows. Ahh.. takes me back to watching the DEM convention of 1968 in Chicago on TV.
Hillary`s also really not all that far behind in the delegate math…when one factors in both Flor. and Mich…and if she wins Penn, West Virginia, Peurto Rico, (winner take all this yr.?) by HUGE margins…which is very doable…considering the demographics and her strongest bases of support!…if this all happens, that average of 60-65% or so which she has to win the remaining 10 contests by…suddenly becomes an average closer to 50 - 55% or so in the other 7 contests…certainly possible…

Hillary CAN’T win. It’s NOT because of Michigan or Florida, It’s NOT because of delegate counts, it’s NOT because of the Super delegates, it’s NOT because of Hillary running out of money.
It’s because the Democratic Party has had the black vote in this country locked up for the last 50 years or so, and although the Democratic Party has actually done NOTHING to really help black Americans, except treating them as children. The DNC will NOT nominate Hillary for fear of the Black voter backlash in this country, and you and every DEM voter secretly knows this.
Proof of this is the Rev. Wright fiasco. If ANY white candidate attended a church for twenty years that spouted the racist remarks Obamas church does, his candidacy would be a smoldering ruins right now with the media STILL making it the top of the news. That candidate would, and justly so, be vilified to the point where his/her very name would be a word for RACISM. But the media slinked away like the cowards they are and buried this scandal claiming Obamas idiotic speech made it “all right now”. Heck, you even had wimps like Chris Mathews making statements about his quivering back leg that makes one question his gender.
Face it, you’re STUCK with Obama. He can say any moronic thing, he can be linked with racists and crooks, he can do ANYTHING and he’ll STILL be your DEM. candidate.

Unfortunately, you are correct about an open/honest discussion on race and gender. Both parties, (in their present state) are that way to a point. The “uptight” GOP has chosento ignore black voters simply because they feel they’ve already lost them to the Democrats. This is particularly strange since the Republican Party was founded by slavery abolitionists in Ripon, Wi in 1854. It also supported black Americans for higher public office during reconstruction, and voted by a higher percentage than Democrats for the 1964 Civil Rights Act. As to women in the GOP, it seems like they’re lagging behind for good candidates, (believe me I’d support either a black or woman conservative), probably feeling they’ve lost the woman vote block to the DEMS too. (The DNC is smart about both groups as they’ve pushed for more hand out programs that’d help the single parent moms and the black underemployed voters.) The DEMS on the other hand really have a mess on their hands now. The NEED both voting blocks to continue in power, and they’re SURE to alienate one or the other in this election. I guess they made the decision to go with the Black voting block because the feel like they’re more loyal throught their life, where many women start outn liberal in their teens and twenties, but change to a more conservative, hence GOP, view of the world as they become older and have children, and see the moral slide espoused by the left.

There is a world of difference between being a woman and being an old female. If you’re born a girl, grow up, and live long enough, you can become an old female. But, to become a woman is a serious matter. A woman takes responsibility for the time she takes up and the space she occupies.
Hillary Clinton is a woman. She has been there and done that and has still risen. She is in this race for the long haul. She intends to make a difference in our country.
She is the prayer of every woman and man who long for fair play, healthy families, good schools, and a balanced economy.

Finally, Nancy Pelosi. The woman we hailed as breaking a huge ceiling when she became Speaker. Pelosi has the nerve to ask this extraordinary candidate to leave a primary race (where she is winning contests) before the next primary of PA.

It’s because the Democratic Party has had the black vote in this country locked up for the last 50 years or so, and although the Democratic Party has actually done NOTHING to really help black Americans, except treating them as children. It became very apparent to me after SC the way they swiftboated Bill Ciinton..but I don’t think it is the only reason…Dick Morris has been taughting that same thing for a while now…..This is more a diversion to cover up the total lack of VETTING Obama before letting someone who in my opinion is very DANGEROUS, to the NATIONA SECURITY of AMERICA get even this close to the Precidency. I just heard the Big Mouth Dean Scream Machine quote that BHO will end up with 50.2% of votes and HRC with 49.8%..So even though the FIX is in for BHO…we need Hillary to beat him in the POPLULAR VOTE to expose them and to make a STAND for AMERICA…then when the DNC hands the nomination to BHO…AMERICANS will RISE up and send the ARAB AMEICAN packing…

If the DNC is afraid of backlash from the Black communities by not nominating Obama, they are ignoring an even larger force. Most Democrats are women, 72% of women over 50 vote. Those are Hillary’s base and for the most part will never vote Obama in the general election. There is word circulating of a girlcott if Hillary is forced out. Many votes, especially in Florida and Michigan will come McCain’s way. Others will be a write-in for Hillary. Either way, it will have a significant impact on the Democratic Party.

The Obama campaign’s response? Attack Sen. Clinton and accuse her of trying to divert attention from the Bosnia trip story and her record of foreign policy experience.
Sen. Clinton’s response was sincere and she could admit that she mis-spoke. The Obama attack was disingenuous and continues to LIE to the AMerican people about knowing his pastor and the awareness of his sermons…..
We are happy to discuss Sen. Clinton’s foreign policy experience and her record overall. Unfortunately, the Obama campaign doesn’t want to discuss its candidate’s record and prefers personal attacks instead.
Sen. Obama knows that if he focused on his experience, he’d get questions about the shortcomings in his record and the efforts he has made to embellish it.
He’d have to deal with the fallout from this week’s Washington Post report on his gross exaggeration of his role on immigration reform and housing policy.
Sen. Obama would have to explain why the New York Times reported that he claims credit for passing nuclear leak legislation that never got out of committee.
He’d have to confront reports from FactCheck.org and other independent organizations that say his claims of providing a universal health care plan are based on selective, embellished and out-of-context quotes from newspapers.
He’d have to discuss the LA Times story that reported on how his fellow organizers say he took too much credit for his community organizing efforts.
He’d have to explain why he regularly claims he was a law professor when in fact he held no such title.
Sen. Obama seems to think disingenuous attacks on Sen. Clinton will address the concerns voters have about his record and readiness to be the Commander-in-Chief and the steward of our economy. They won’t.

Let us look at the educational achievements of the Great Rev. Wright. It is hard to imagine that Barak Hussein Obama would call upon such an intellectual giant as one of his advisors. Lets certainly hope Obama, if elected, will draw upon people with a little more intellectual depth than the Great Rev. (sorry, I guess now we need to include the title Dr.) Dr. Wright.
Lets see what you have accomplished Rev. Dr. Wright; (1) Masters Degree in something from Howard University, (2) second masters in something from University of Chicago Divinity School, (3) Doctor from United Theological Seminary under Dr. Samuel DeWitt Proctor, and last but not least, recipient of eight honorary doctorates from somebody.
Anyone of us would have to stand in the shadows of such intellectual achievements made by the Great Rev. Dr. Wright.

Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. became Pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC) on March 1, 1972. Within a matter of months he demonstrated an understanding and deep commitment to help TUCC achieve its motto and vision. The motto, “Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian”, was a phrase coined by his predecessor, the Reverend Dr. Reuben Sheares, and was officially adopted by the congregation shortly after Pastor Wright began his ministry.
Here is a comment from the Great Barak Hussein Obama. Read it, and then remember that he wants to be President of the United States. Would you really want someone that made these remarks to be your President … I certainly hope not.

Now I guess I could support little Barak on this but with one condition; he also needs to get the radical Muslims to accept “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing” as their new Jihad theme song.
