Hillary’s Rudy Act in Indiana

Senator Clinton took her Solutions for the American Economy road show to Mishawaka High School near South Bend, IN, appearing with actor Sean Astin — and like his underdog-turned-hero character in the football movie Rudy (set at nearby Notre Dame), HRC cast herself as the hard working, hard fighting underdog in the race.

“I want the people of Indiana to know, I want every Hoosier to know I’m going to fight for you, for your future, for your jobs,” she said. “You know, there are some people who are saying, you know, we really ought to end this primary, we just ought to shut it down.” The crowd took exception to that idea.

“There was a poll the other day that said 22% of Democrats wanted me to drop out, and 22% wanted Senator Obama to drop out. and 62% said let people vote until we finally know what the outcome is,” she said. “One thing you know about me, when I tell you I’ll fight for you, I’ll get up every day and that’s exactly what I will do.”

While she argues that the voters want the race to continue, the chorus of those calling for her exit is growing. Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy, an Obama supporter, said today Senator Clinton should bow out of the nomination fight. But Hillary says today’s naysayers are the same people who said she couldn’t win an election in New York — where she was reelected last year by overwhelming margins.

“What you have to decide are these just words? Or am I somebody you can count on to deliver?” she asked. “That is what I’ve done in New York, where when I started running, everybody said — the same people who say it about to me today — I could never win. I’d never get Independents or Republicans to vote for me. Well, I just got reelected with 67% of the vote from across the state of New York. and why? Because I believe actions speak louder than words.”

But in the end, with her odds still long, she’s forced to hope that the voters come through for her in states like Indiana. “President Bush will leave next January, and what all of you are trying to decide is who comes next,” she said. As the crowd shouted “you!” Hillary said “I hope so. But that’s going to be up to all of you and millions of Americans.”

Your actions did speak! How many jobs did you promise to create in New York? Was it 300,000 or was it you were going to lose 40,000? Because if you said option 2 you were being truthful but “your” plan was creating jobs and you failed miserably. Were you too busy with Spitzer or were you to busy planning your nomination speech?

Hillary is and will always be a fighter for the people. The people of NY love her and she has done a wonderful job for them. She will do a wonderful job for us as president. This has been a long, hard fight for her and she’s still going. Obama had to take a few days off for a vacation in the Virgin Islands (or was he just laundering his muslim money while he was there). Why can’t people understand that this is America and she has every right to stay in the race. These people who want her to drop out will be talking out of the other side of their mouths when (if Obama gets the nomination) the Republicans take the White House again. Latest figures this morning approx. 29% of Hillary supporter will NOT vote for Obama; The other side of the coin, only approximately 19% of Obama votes will NOT support Hillary in the general election. Also, did you notice only those politicians who have already come out for Obama are pressuring her to drop out. Could it be they are afraid she may win and then they’ll all look like the fools - as they are.

Hillary Clinton wins New Hampshire, defying the predictions and the polls

THE PUNDITS
Hillary Clinton will lose the big states on Super Tuesday and the race will be over
THE REALITY
Hillary Clinton wins the big states on Super Tuesday – and wins them by double digits

THE PUNDITS
Hillary Clinton will lose Texas and possibly Ohio on March 4th and the race will be over
THE REALITY
Hillary Clinton wins both Texas and Ohio on March 4th – and she wins Ohio by double digits

Comment by Disabled American Vet

THE PUNDITS
Despite Hillary Clinton’s big victories on March 4th, “the math” works decisively against her and the race is essentially over
THE REALITY
The math is simple: neither candidate has reached the number of delegates required to
secure the nomination and either candidate can win

THE PUNDITS
Barack Obama is substantially ahead in the pledged delegate count; pledged delegates are the only measure of success; therefore the race is essentially over
THE REALITY
The candidates are within fractions of one another on delegates; Barack Obama needs super delegates to win; and a marginal pledged delegate lead does not determine the outcome

THE PUNDITS
Barack Obama is substantially ahead in the popular vote; Florida and Michigan don’t count; therefore the race is essentially over
THE REALITY
The popular vote is virtually tied; half of Barack Obama’s narrow vote advantage is from his home state; and his lead excludes Florida and Michigan

Comment by Disabled American Vet

THE PUNDITS
Once the remaining states vote, Barack Obama will be substantially ahead in delegates and votes and the race will be over
THE REALITY
The race is a dead heat now and no one knows where things will end up after millions of remaining voters in the upcoming states make their choice

THE PUNDITS
Hillary Clinton’s situation is dire; her campaign is struggling; her supporters are disillusioned and desperate
THE REALITY
Hillary Clinton and her supporters are calm, confident, and focused heading into the key
state of PA, where she is running strong

Comment by Disabled American Vet

THE PUNDITS
Hillary Clinton’s campaign lacks significant grassroots energy; only one candidate has mobilized supporters to take action for the campaign
THE REALITY
Hillary Clinton’s supporters across America have written letters, blogged, donated tens of millions of dollars, volunteered millions of hours and made millions of calls

THE PUNDITS
There is a loud and growing chorus of voices asking Hillary Clinton to withdraw from the race
THE REALITY
Precisely the same number of voters (22%) think Barack Obama should drop out of the
race as Hillary Clinton

Comment by Disabled American Vet

THE PUNDITS
Hillary Clinton is the candidate running a negative, divisive campaign; she is throwing the “kitchen sink” at Barack Obama
THE REALITY
Barack Obama has been throwing the sink, the stove, the plates and the garbage can at Hillary Clinton, attacking her integrity and character every day

THE PUNDITS
For Hillary to win the nomination, super delegates will have to “overturn the will of the
people”
THE REALITY
The will of the people is split and both candidates need - and are making their case to -
super delegates

because of complicated procedural roadblocks
THE REALITY
Barack Obama is intentionally disenfranchising voters in two critical states for purely political reasons, namely, that he’ll lose his small advantage if they count

THE PUNDITS
Every single word or action from Hillary Clinton, her campaign, her surrogates and her supporters is part of a calculated and cynical political strategy
THE REALITY
Hillary Clinton is a loyal Democrat, a lifelong public servant, a tireless and
tenacious candidate, and is fighting hard - and fair - to win with the help of millions of dedicated supporters

I read the news everyday, and everyday I hope and pray that Hillary Stays in the race. She is not perfect, but she has been there fighting whatever battle needed to be fought day in and day out for many years. Maybe she hasn’t always been on the right side as only years can prove, but she has always made the right decision for the time. The sign of a great leader is the one who, after a decision is made - still evaluates the outcome - and know when it’s time to rethink and readjust. At the time of her Iraq vote the majority of her constituents and the country as a whole believed we needed to be in Irag - she voted their will, with reservations and hoping for the standing commander in chief to make good judgments. NAFTA had great potential and was great in theory - but she has said from the beginning that it needs to be reevaluated and reworked in order for it to do what it was intended to do. She has a plan - she has solutions. She will fight with everything she has to see these solutions become a reality. Only those threatened would want to see her drop out. Keep it up !!! for all our sakes and in spite of those who still think that dreaming a dream will make it all come true.

ALL Politicians are liars, some more than others, Obama has had a very bad month, but when/IF Hillary get the nomination, all her past will come out to haunt her… How quickly all of you forget all the dirt, she has swept under the rug. The difference between Obama and Clinton is she keeps on lying, unless you have her on video, and even then she tries to spin the truth. At least Obama, admits he made mistakes, when has Clinton done that? As far as McCain, if he picks the right running mate(Condi), he can beat either of them hands down.

It will be amusing to watch this degenerate into a decision for each of the superdupercalafragalistic delegates.

If I vote for the Banshee;

a. She loses the primary, I am screwed by my constituency and out of a job.

b. She wins the primary, loses the general, I am screwed by my constituency and out of a job.

c. She wins the primary, wins the general, I might be able to convince my constituency to keep me in office, but if not, perhaps the Slick Willie family will give me a public teat to suckle at.

If I vote for BO;

a. He loses the primary, I get to look over my shoulder for the rest of my political career, waiting for the Slick Willie team to pull the trigger on me.

b. He wins the primary, loses the general, I get to look over my shoulder for the rest of my political career, waiting for the Slick Willie team to pull the trigger on me.

c. He wins the primary, wins the general, I get to look over my shoulder for the rest of my political career, waiting for the Slick Willie team to pull the trigger on me, hoping that when they do, I can get some help from BO.

Yes sir, gotta love the prestige and perks of being an SD.

How about the statements she made when it was thrown in her face how many states in middle America voted against her and she said they didn’t matter. She was going after the big states, with the most voters. So MI and FL, she could care less about voters across the country, she only cares about you because she thinks she can get the delegates. And she is so crooked that she was willing to take the Michigan votes even though no one else was even on the ballot. She cares about the Clinton’s only not for America, I believe next we will have to deal with Chelsea.

Comment by to Sen Leahy and your fellow cowards:

Congratulations…you earn a place in the democratic dunce line-up, right after the ditz Pelosi, Richardson, Dodd and Dean. What a dumb and dumber list.

Why the hell should Clinton stop campaigning when the race is virtually tied??

63% of Americans are still considering the viability and electability of each candidate and you want this to stop so we can PRETEND to be unified around Obama. This is the 1st time in my life that I have watched a dem primary get hijacked by those who are supposed to be safeguarding voters’ interests. By calling the election in favor of Obama, all of you send out the message to potential Clinon voters that they should stay home during the upcoming elections. Why are all of you hell-bent on determining the outcome of this election?

FACE FACTS: Neither Candidate will get the del. number needed for the nomination. Let the American people vote so the superdelegates have a clear picture of who won the blue states, the important swing states, and red states. Let the superdelegates determine the ‘electability” of each candidate in a face off with MCain by looking at ALL the numbers. You say that allowing this to continue creates a divisive, fractured party. That’s Bull—sh*t. Why would getting a clear picture of the electoral map be problematic? Continuing to hijack a civic process guaranteed by our founding fathers will create a civil war and a HUGE backlash against the DNC.

If Pelosi, Richardson, Dodd, Dean and Leahy had integrity (or b*lls), they would allow revotes in Fl and Mich so that all dems would have a better understanding of who would carry the swing states in November. Obama the coward will not allow this because he is afraid to lose delegates. What a pansy…it is possible that he could win one, the other or both. But he is afraid of letting go of a very small insignificant lead. Even if he did trail each election, both he and Clinton would still have to take their case to the superdelegates because a clear winner hasn’t been determined. I can only conclude that this group of fools has decided that upsetting Obama’s core support base (fill in the blank) is more important than making a decision based on ALL of the voting results.

You all deserve to lose your seats to Republicans since you place self-interest over common good.

If the Dems give the nomination to BHO…I will throw my support and actively work for McCain..He won’t need that much help here in Texas..I have always respected and admired John McCain…he is a National Hero…and I will have no problem voting for him…and everyone I know feels the same..I think the Polls are underestimating the Loss to the Democratic Party…

If there is a silver lining…at the end of this Nomination Process …it will be watching the Republican Machine…Pulverise…BHO…..John McCain will be able to stay above the fray…But he will have FOX News on his side…and they will get the Message Out…Middle America will not vote for this man…is my prayer..

My concern is our Troops will be in increased danger in Iraq…I hope I am wrong…

Fed Up with the Democratic Party…..Completely…….but I am loyal and will continue to support Hillary and do anything I can to Stop Obama.

Just my American Opinion

Yours is an attitude I find remarkable whenever I see it.

Can you please define for me the POLICY differences between BO and the Banshee. Not trust issues, not charisma or anything else.

Are there truly any substantive differences between the policy plans of the 2 candidates?

OBAMA LIE’S AGAIN

“Had the reverend not retired, and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn’t have felt comfortable staying at the church,” Obama said Thursday during a taping of the ABC talk show, “The View.” The interview will be broadcast Friday”.

COME ON TELL US ANOTHER ONE.. YOU HAD 20 YEARS TO LEAVE…. YOU SORRY PUKE…

I’ll go with a Twist House?

This is what is happening in primaries:

MAJORITY LATINOS, ASIAN AMERICANS, MENTALLY STABLE CAUCASIANS, and a FEW “NON-WELFARE” BLACKS for McCain or Hillary.

Comment by Janet

The only difference in the plans is - Hillary Lays out the plans and solutions - Obama just says I agree.

Just call it the halfway house
