Clinton Bashes Rivals’ Economic Plans
The Clinton campaign lashed out today at both her Democratic and Republican rivals on the economy — calling Senator Obama a vague copycat and Senator McCain an inexperienced Bush-lite.
In a statement, Clinton policy director Neera Tanden said “The contrast could not be clearer - on Monday, Senator Clinton announced a detailed, specific plan to address the housing and credit crisis. On Tuesday, Senator McCain announced that he had no plan. And today, Senator Obama offered just words,” calling Obama’s speech “a series of broad, vague principles” that offer no new concrete solutions.
And on a conference call, Tanden accused Sen Obama of stealing a policy plan for a $30 billion “second stimulus” laid out just a week ago by Senator Clinton. “Senator Obama can’t come up with real proposals on his own to address people’s problems on the campaign trail. How’s he going to address people’s problems were he to be president?” she said.
Communications Director Howard Wolfson said Obama has failed to connect with voters concerned about the economy and is desperately playing catch-up. “In offering a second stimulus of $30 billion, he’s following our proposal by a week. That’s not leadership. That’s followership.”
As for McCain, Sen Clinton dismissed his economic speech from Monday in her own address in Raleigh today. Using that now-infamous 3am phone call image, she said “I read the speech that Senator McCain gave the other day which set forth his plan which does virtually nothing to ease the credit crisis or the housing crisis. It seems like if the phone were ringing he would just let it ring and ring and ring.”

Wow, I think she really does believe her lies about “35 years of experience.” McCain isn’t going to be teaching economics in a college classroom but to say that she has more experience than he does in national economics is laughable. Obama’s plans are all really bad so she should feel free to pick them apart piece by piece, that is if she can find any differences.
Why isn’t Hillary’s speech being televised and why isn’t the media all over Obama copying from Hillary? He is known for doing that over and over again. I heard his speech on economy and it amounted to a pile of beans! Hillary gave the best economic solutions speech but isn’t getting the same air time as Obama and McCain. Her speech was far superior, well articulated and thought out. Thought you were Fair and Balanced? Give her credit when due. You certainly don’t hold back when given the opportunity to bash her!!!!!!

Yesterday, a Pennsylvania editorial board asked Sen. Clinton how she would have “responded if [her] pastor had said some of the things that Rev. Wright said?” In response, she said Rev. Wright would not have been her pastor, an honest view shared by many Americans.
The Obama campaign’s response? Attack Sen. Clinton and accuse her of trying to divert attention from the Bosnia trip story and her record of foreign policy experience.
Sen. Clinton’s response was sincere. The Obama attack was disingenuous.
We are happy to discuss Sen. Clinton’s foreign policy experience and her record overall. Unfortunately, the Obama campaign doesn’t want to discuss its candidate’s record and prefers personal attacks instead.
Sen. Obama knows that if he focused on his experience, he’d get questions about the shortcomings in his record and the efforts he has made to embellish it.
He’d have to deal with the fallout from this week’s Washington Post report on his gross exaggeration of his role on immigration reform and housing policy.
Sen. Obama would have to explain why the New York Times reported that he claims credit for passing nuclear leak legislation that never got out of committee.
He’d have to confront reports from FactCheck.org and other independent organizations that say his claims of providing a universal health care plan are based on selective, embellished and out-of-context quotes from newspapers.
He’d have to discuss the LA Times story that reported on how his fellow organizers say he took too much credit for his community organizing efforts.
He’d have to explain why he regularly claims he was a law professor when in fact he held no such title.
Sen. Obama seems to think disingenuous attacks on Sen. Clinton will address the concerns voters have about his record and readiness to be the Commander-in-Chief and the steward of our economy. They won’t.
In the end, Sen. Obama’s words cannot erase Hillary’s 35-year record of action because when all is said and done, words aren’t action. They are just words.
I’d like to know where is all there money coming from? The biggest problem with the American economy is that the Government owes countless obscene sums to lenders and has to pay them with interest. The Government is in debt up to its ears like the rest of us consumers in the U.S. and the corporations and the banks too.
We are going to have to scale back. The consumers are scaling back, sorry, there was no choice. The banks are going to have the scale back — I think they were trying to do that — sorry, no choice. The Government is going to have to scale back. Hillary, you know that. Your husband did it. And by scaling back and promoting other areas of the economy we can reduce the government deficit again, increase the value of the dollar so that our money is worth something, and get some respect in the world again for our economic prowess and prudence.
Let’s hear how you are going to really help the economy and not just spend money.
Can we ever believe ANYTHING Hillary Clinton says? She was just so animated in her FALSE description of being under “sniper fire”. She is such a joke! She will never be president! She simply cannot be trusted in that she seems to believe her own lies! Despicable!

What about the Americans, that lost their jobs because of cheaper labor overseas, or all the military families, that lost their homes because, they are reservist and had to leave their job to fight.
There is no plausable excuse, why the economy should be this bad. And if you think it’s not that bad, means you were one of the lucky ones to avoid the layoffs and the job moves and, just maybe you are rich and successful and the problems of the lower class do not affect you.
There is an excuse for hard working people who had jobs for twenty years and lost them. To say it’s their fault alone means that you walk around with blinders on.

Students told news reporters that Hillary’s campaign staff gave pre-printed questions to ask Hillary during the q/a session, and the unsuspecting students fell for it. I am not making this up.

No, I am not rich. My husband is disabled and I work. I have friends that lost their homes and it was their own fault. They bought way out of their means because the interest rates were down. I do agree that the lenders didn’t help much but they new that it could turn on a dime and it did. If they had gotten a fixed rate loan (which they couldn’t do because the house cost too much) and kept it within their means this wouldn’t be happening to them.
Hard working people do not sit on welfare for years either. Most people will find another job regardless. I know layoffs are hard because I have been laid off before. We have people in our state that make a living off of welfare and continue to have children which gives them even more money. They get a subsidised rent, they get help with their utilities and food stamps and live much better than I do. I am sick of working 10 hr days to pay my bills why I pay tax’s for them to sit at home and pay almost nothing.
Please tell me why the dems think the war is all Bushys fault….boohoo. Your girl Hillary voted for it. Does that not count for anything.

Yes there are many people who bought above their means, but there are even more who have lost the home that they had already been living in by borrowing against their equity. Lenders took advantage of a lot of people, whom frankly should have consulted a lawyer to read the contracts before closing on the loan.
As far as welfare, it was supposed to be an interim solution to help Americans, now it has become a crutch. And the crazy thing is the illegals are getting it. Don’t know how, but the Women, Infants and childrens program has been bombarded by illegals… and guess what, you don’t have to prove your citizenship to get anything.
Where I live, because the economy is so bad, when you drive in or near the projects you see white families, black families, all types of cultures dropped from middle class to no class, no hope, no future.

The Clinton Campaign and Hillary decided well over a week ago - when the TV news channels were showing the snipits of Wright speaking - that they weren’t going to weigh in on the issue. They left it alone because it was hot enough on its own!! It wasn’t until her distortion about her arriving in Bosnia under sniper fire etc. that caused her to drop in the polls that she then decided to broach the subject in an effort to divert attention away from her screw up!!!

I do agree that a lot of people out there are in big trouble and a lot did not bring this upon themselves. But to vote for someone who tells you they are going to raise your tax’s is just down right crazy.

It is evident that the Man doesn’t know squat other than stealing from someone else. More regulations? Sorry but this movie is just a smear campaign started by David N. Bossie whom is the president of Citizens United, why they dont just call it Republicans United I don’t know, but thats what it is. If someone wanted to do the same thing against McCain or Obama it would be just as easy.

Do you honestly think Jesus would be waging ‘proactive’ war? Denying the necessities of life to the poor? Denying urgently needed medicine to innocent children? Giving huge tax cuts to the rich? Locking people away forever after ‘3 strikes’? Executing people right, left and centre - but only if they are poor and/or retarded?
Not that I think your Democrats are anything much to write home about most of the time, but the Republicans seem to favour the law of the jungle at every turn - let the rich get richer and the poor go to hell.

If you google- HillaryTheMovie.avi it works much better. I must strongly disagree with you..nobody made up the happening or the people. I would hate to be a Hillary supporter and have to keep defending her.
