Nancy Reagan blesses McCain bid

Bel Air, CA — Former First Lady Nancy Reagan endorsed Sen. McCain outside her home Tuesday afternoon, providing the presumptive GOP nominee with the official blessing of the closest thing to the party’s royal family.

“This is an important, most important kind of expression of confidence and my ability to lead the party that I could have,” McCain said, who often refers to himself as a “foot soldier in the Reagan Revolution.” He lauded the 40th president and former first lady for their lifetime of “honorable and courageous service.”

Mrs. Reagan, 86, who Reagan library officials said did not plan to speak at the appearance, chimed in on a question directed at McCain about why she chose to prematurely endorse before the convention.

“Let me inject in here. Ronnie and I always waited until everything was decided and then we endorsed. Well, obviously this is the nominee of the party,” she said as she patted him on the arm. (Full Event Transcript after Jump)

FULL EVENT TRANSCRIPT

McCain: Good afternoon. I’m very pleased and honored to have the opportunity again to be with Mrs. Reagan and to receive her endorsement for the nomination of my party for president of the United States. The President and Mrs. Reagan and I go back many years. When I first came home from the Vietnam War and the most gracious hospitality by then governor and Mrs Reagan to those of us who had been prisoners of war in Southeast Asia. That was my first opportunity to know Mrs. Reagan and then-Governor Reagan. And I was very privileged to be asked and accepted Governor Reagan’s kind invitation to speak at the prayer day breakfast in Sacramento his last year as governor of the state of California.

President Reagan and Mrs Reagan remain an inspiration to all of us as an example of honorable and courageous service to the nation. I certainly must tell Mrs. Reagan again that the Reagan library is a suitable and wonderful testament to the legacy of one of our greatest presidents. I’m honored to be here with Mrs. Reagan. Thank you.
Q: What impact do you think the endorsement is going to have?

McCain: Oh I think Mrs. Reagan is obviously our beloved and wonderful person and all of us appreciate, love and admire. And I’m always honored to be in her company. Except when I have to be in a debate at the Reagan library.

Q: Do you think this will help bring the party together?

McCain: I hope and I believe so, and we continue to do that and have significant success in that direction. Obviously this is a, this is an important, most important kind of expression of confidence and my ability to lead the party that I could have.

Q: Will this help you Reagan Democrats?

McCain: The Reagan Democrats are very important and I hope every one of them and new Reagan Democrats will be watching.

Q: What persuaded Mrs. Reagan to give you this endorsement so early on?

McCain: Well I hope its testimony to her confidence in me, as well as our friendship of many many years.

Reagan: But it wasn’t early on. Let me inject in here. Ronnie and I always waited until everything was decided and then we endorsed. Well, obviously this is the nominee of the party.

McCain: Thank you Nancy. Thank you.

Great endorsement!

But, unless there are changes, McCain will most likely lose on his stance on Iraq and his communication style.

-CNN AND MSNBC are all out supporting OBAMA and are both doing everything they can to destroy Hillary Clinton… They are now discussing “all day” about Hillary’s admitting she misspoke about Bosnia experience.

-It is so sad and tragic to think that most newsmedia are so scared to be called racist than sexist…not to mention how money can change people’s view and disregard the truth…tsk.tsk.tsk..

-This is why CNN, MSNBC are so pathetic for lowering their standard to accomodate this kind of news. I’m hoping that FOXNEWS will not follow them.

-By accepting and admitting that she (Hillary) mis-spoke is better if not best thing to do to correct a mistake.

-But by NOT ADMITTING A SERIOUS MISTAKE OR UNSOUND JUDGEMENT of having ties with people who are Corrupt(Rezko), a Preacher for 20 years, who enticed a congregation to racism, and segregations, who has ties with a known terrorist (Farrackhan)…
-And by Defending and even praised these association… and
- WORST!! - by exposing your children to people who preached and harbor hates and this endemic disease of Racism is appalling and causing great dismay to most if not all Parents in America…
ATTENTION AMERICAN NEWS MEDIA!!!
- This is what we should be worried…
- Knowing that someone who is running to the highest position in our Beloved Country…
- Who will represent us as ONE PROUD NATION…
and that person or candidate…
- DID EXHIBITED WRONG JUDGEMENT TO PROTECT A FEW INDIVIDUAL AT THE EXPENSE OF THE AMERICAN VALUES IS NOT ACCEPTABLE…

-AMERICA VOTE RESPONSIBLY!!!

-VOTE SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON AS PRESIDENT ‘08

I’m glad to see Nancy supporting McCain. She was a great first lady. He will get us through the Iraq war without surrendering in a cowardly fashion. I like the fact he will not bail out people who took on houses they couldn’t afford. I could have had a $400,000 house if I was too irresponsible too. We don’t need big government to lick our self inflicted wounds for us.

If it were not for fox news we would know nothing about him,all the other news channels, only hype up Obama(muslium people do a little research),and Hillary,Mccain hardly gets a mention. And as far as I can remember he is pretty much a middle guy,not to far left not to far right.

To all concerned “Ever Proud Americans” (Democrats and GOP alike)

This is the most DANGEROUS TIMES in the history of our country! Knowing that the most charismatic candidate WHO MIGHT WIN this election has ties with the ENEMIES OF OUR COUNTRY.

-OUR COUNTRY HAVE WITNESSED HOW OBAMA SHOWED AMERICANS HOW HE WILL REACT AND MAKE JUDGEMENT TO PROVEN ACCUSATIONS TO HIS FRIENDS WHO IS CLOSE TO HIM…

-HIS WILLINGNESS TO STAND, EVEN PRAISED AND DEFENDED A “DEMAGOG” FRIEND WHOM HE ADMITTED DISTORTED THE AMERICAN HISTORY AND PREACHING RACISM, SEGREGATIONS TO HIS CONGREGATIONS AND HARBORING HATES TOWARDS WHITE PEOPLE, ETC…..
-AND DOING THIS IN FRONT OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THROUGH NATIONAL TELEVISION IS SO ALARMING AND SCARING TO ALL…

These are SOME NOTED SUPPORTERS OF BARRACK HUSSEIN OBAMA:

1. - RACIST PEOPLE - Blacks who harbor a disease of hate and racism who waits for the right
time to do HARM and VENGEANCE TO WHITE PEOPLE… (Ex. Rev, Wright, Sharpton, Jackson)
2. - THE BLACK PHANTERS…(Revolutionary group who hates white people)
3. - THE USA COMMUNIST PARTY OF SEVERAL STATES…
4. - FARRACKHAN - (ISLAMIC EXTREMISTS GROUP WHO WANTS TO DESTROY AMERICA)
5. - MR. ODINGA - (Kenyan, Obama’s Pal uses “Rape as a Weapon”)
6. - ARAB NATIONS…(Who don’t like Hillary for her open support to Israel)
7. - PEOPLE WHO SUPPORTS RADICAL MOVEMENT, ETC.
and the lists go on and on…. they will all surfacing after Obama’s oath taking… watch out!!!

-For your updates: Obama is now throwing all his money and outspending Hillary Clinton in the rest of DNC primaries and planning to do the same thing to John McCain. Conniving with some big News Media Networks by giving them a huge amount of money to support him and destroy the images of Clinton and McCain??? This is not surprising at all knowing that Obama parasites (Supporters) are now contributing to Obama Campaign in order to promote and advance their propaganda…

-According to some insider - The Obama Camp were so happy and already shouting Victory!!! for the nullifications of the delegates from Michigan and Florida. Insider further said that Obama is EXPECTING that those DNC Leaders who hates the Clintons will not do anything to finally nullify the votes of these delegates… (there is conspiracy w/in DNC Leaders against the Clintons). Obama will call the press as planned to tell them that “HE WILL RESPECT THE RULING OF DNC LEADERSHIPS”…(Knowing already their plans to scrap the results and one even suggested Obama to remove his name on the ballot to have a reason to nullify the results, this was after the polls result that Hillary willcarry this two states… )

- OBAMA IS SO HUNGRY FOR POWER THAT HE IS VERY WILLING TO SPEND MONEY TO BUY THE PRESIDENCY WHICH HE IS NOW DOING TO THE DNC SUPERDELEGATES - THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO CAN STOP HIM FROM HIS VAIN AMBITION TO RUIN AND DESTROY OUR NATION FOR HIS OWN GLORY AND THE GLORY OF OUR COUNTRY’S ENEMIES AROUND THE WORLD.

-DEMOCRATS MUST RALLY SUPPORT AND MUST VOTE FOR HILLARY CLINTON…

-SHE MUST WIN THE REMAINING PRIMARIES BY A “LANDSLIDE VICTORY” TO ERASE OBAMA CAMP ARGUMENT AS TO WHO REALLY WON THE MAJORITY BOTH IN DELEGATES AND POPULAR VOTES…WHICH HE IS GOING TO USE IN BLACKMAILING AMERICAN DNC ELECTORATE …

-SOME OBAMA SURROGATES ARE EVEN SUGGESTING TO CREATE A SCENARIO… THAT IF SUPERDELEGATES WILL NOT SUPPORT OBAMA… “THERE WILL BE A RIOT AND CHAOS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY… TO PROTEST OBAMA’S DOWNFALL… THESE PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO CREATE HAVOC JUST TO FORCE PEOPLE TO ELECT THEIR LEADER - BARRACK HUSSEIN OBAMA!!!

- THE ONLY WAY TO DEFEAT THESE OBA-MANIACS….. IS A LANDSLIDE VICTORY FOR SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON IN THE REMAINING DNC PRIMARIES…

- WE ARE CALLING ALL CONCERNED CITIZENS OF AMERICA TO DO SOMETHING TO STOP OBAMA IN WINNING THE WHITEHOUSE TO AVOID A SURE DEFEAT!!! BY EXTREMIST WHO HATES AMERICA…

- AMERICA WAKE UP!!!

- LET US FIGHT THIS ANTI-AMERICA WHO WILL DRAG OUR COUNTRY TO SHAME AND DESTRUCTIONS…

- SENATOR CLINTON NOW KNEW THE REAL OBAMA AND WILL NOT PICK HIM AS HER VP ACCORDING TO INSIDER…
- AND INSTEAD WILL ASK SENATOR EDWARDS A REAL “EVER PROUD AMERICAN” TO BE HER RUNNING MATE…
- SENATOR EDWARDS WILL THROW HIS SUPPORT TO SENATOR HILLARY AFTER “PA” PRIMARY TO HELP HER WIN SC… THIS IS A START AND A SIGN OF THE DOWNFALL AND BACKLASH OF OBAMA (parasites) SUPPORTERS…

- OBAMA IS NOW FEELING THE HINT OF THIS EVENTUALITY THAT IS WHY THEY ARE NOW THROWING ALL THEIR MONEY TO START MUD SLINGING AGAINST SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON AND JOHN McCAIN USING BIG NEWSMEDIA NETWORKS TO FOOL AMERICAN ELECTORATES… (FOR A BIG AMOUNT OF MONEY)… AND NOW OFFERING HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO CONTROL AND BUY SOME POWERFUL BIG NAMES OF UNDECIDED SUPERDELEGATES. (The lowest offering is $500T according to obama camp insider…)

Fact Check: What Bill Clinton Said In Charlotte
Send to a Friend »

Some are suggesting that the following remark by President Clinton was intended as a personal attack:

I think it would be a great thing if we had an election year where you had two people who loved this country and were devoted to the interest of this country and people could actually ask themselves who is right on these issues, instead of all this other stuff that always seems to intrude itself on our politics
Actually, as is indicated by the quote itself, President Clinton was talking about the need to talk about issues, rather than falsely questioning any candidate’s patriotism.

He was lamenting that these kind of distractions “always seems to intrude” on political campaigns. This is consistent with his criticism of the “politics of personal destruction,” which dates back 16 years.

Hillary recently misspoke about her trip to Bosnia. She accurately describes the trip in her book, Living History:

‘Due to reports of snipers in the hills around the airstrip, we were forced to cut short an event on the tarmac…’ “Security conditions were constantly changing in the former Yugoslavia, and they had recently deteriorated again. Due to reports of snipers in the hills around the airstrip, we were forced to cut short an event on the tarmac with local children, though we did have time to meet them and their teachers and to learn how hard they had worked during the war to continue classes in any safe spot they could find. … We were then off to the fortified American base at Tuzla, where over two thousand American, Russian, Canadian, British, and Polish soldiers were encamped in a large tent city.” [Living History, p. 343]
Contemporaneous news accounts confirm that Hillary’s trip to Bosnia was a dangerous situation:

Hillary’s trip to Bosnia marked the first time since Eleanor Roosevelt that a first lady traveled to a potential combat zone. Accompanied by singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow and comedian Sinbad, Mrs. Clinton traveled to this northwestern Bosnian town on a morale-boosting tour for the 18,500 U.S. troops participating in the NATO-led peacemaking operation. She heard a poem of peace from a Bosnian girl and praised U.S. troops for ’showing what American leadership is.’…This trip to Bosnia marks the first time since Roosevelt that a first lady has voyaged to a potential combat zone. During World War II, Roosevelt toured the devastated streets of London and the southwestern Pacific, bringing cheer to U.S. troops. [Washington Post, 3/26/96]
Hillary was ‘protected by sharpshooters’ in a ‘military zone’ when she visited troops in Bosnia. “Protected by sharpshooters, Hillary Rodham Clinton swooped into a military zone by Black Hawk helicopter Monday to deliver a personal ‘thank you, thank you, thank you’ to U.S. troops. ‘They’re making a difference,’ the first lady said of the 18,500 Americans working as peacekeepers in Bosnia. Mrs. Clinton became the first presidential spouse since Eleanor Roosevelt to make such an extensive trip into what can be considered a hostile area, though others have visited hot spots…” [Charleston Gazette, 3/26/96]

It’s interesting that the Obama campaign often gets its back up when we say that their campaign is just words. But I think few things illustrate this point better than what Sen. Obama is doing with regard to Florida and Michigan.’’ –Campaign Spokesperson Phil Singer

Sen. Obama’s has previously emphasized the importance of counting all votes. So why won’t he make sure the voters of Michigan and Florida have their votes count?

Obama: ‘One of our most sacred rights as Americans is the right to make our voice heard at the polls.’ “’One of our most sacred rights as Americans is the right to make our voice heard at the polls,’ said Obama. ‘But too often, we hear reports of mysterious phone calls and mailers arriving just days before an election that seek to mislead and threaten voters to keep them from the polls. And those who engage in these deceptive and underhanded campaign tactics usually target voters living in minority or low-income neighborhoods. This legislation would ensure that for the first time, these incidents are fully investigated and that those found guilty are punished.’” [Obama Statement on Legislation to Prevent Election Fraud, 11/8/05]
Obama ad touts his work as a ‘civil rights attorney to make sure that everybody’s vote counted.’ “OBAMA: “From the time that I moved to Chicago to be a community organizer. Working as a civil rights attorney to make sure that everybody’s vote counted. In each instance, there were naysayers who said it couldn’t be done, but when millions of voices join together and insist on change, change happens and that’s what we have to do in this election.” [Obama ad, “Hope and Change,” 11/20/07]
Obama touted his work as a civil rights attorney ‘enforcing voting rights.’ “OBAMA: You know, when I moved to Chicago to organize (inaudible) communities, I saw what happened when folks don’t have enough political power. And so when I got out of law school, I organized the voter registration drive and we registered 150,000 new voters in 1992. Then when I started my law practice, I became a civil rights attorney, enforcing voting rights against the city of Chicago and against the state of Illinois that hadn’t implemented motor voter. So this is something that I know something about.” [Obama remarks at NAACP Forum, 7/12/07]
Obama: “There is no place for politics in this debate – no room for those who feel they can gain a partisan advantage by keeping people away from the polls.’ “There are some issues in this country that are inherently difficult and political. Making sure that every American can cast a ballot shouldn’t be one of them. There is no place for politics in this debate–no room for those who feel that they can gain a partisan advantage by keeping people away from the polls.” [Obama Floor Speech on Deceptive Practices and Voter Intimidation Prevention Act of 2007, S 453, 1/31/07]
Obama: ‘That is the true genius of America, a faith in the simple dreams of the people…that our votes will be counted – or at least, most of the time.’ That is the true genius of America, a faith in the simple dreams of its people, the insistence on small miracles. That we can tuck in our children at night and know they are fed and clothed and safe from harm. That we can say what we think, write what we think, without hearing a sudden knock on the door. That we can have an idea and start our own business without paying a bribe or hiring somebody’s son. That we can participate in the political process without fear of retribution, and that our votes will he counted — or at least, most of the time. [Obama DNC Speech, 7/27/04]

MYTH: For Hillary to win, super delegates must “overturn the will of the people.”

FACT: The race is virtually tied, the “will of the people” is split, and both candidates need super delegates to win.

The Obama campaign and Sen. Obama’s surrogates have engaged in a sustained public relations effort to convince people that the election is over and that if super delegates perform their established role of choosing a candidate who they believe will make the best nominee and president, they are somehow “overturning the will of the people.” They have the audacity to make this argument while quietly and systematically courting those very same super delegates. They are courting them because they know that Sen. Obama needs super delegates to win. The Obama spin is being parroted daily by pundits, but it is patently false. The race is virtually tied; the “will of the people” is split. By virtually every measure, Hillary and Sen. Obama are neck and neck — separated by less than 130 of the more than 3,100 delegates committed thus far and less than 1% of the 27 million+ votes cast, including Florida and Michigan. Less than 1%.

An incremental advantage for one candidate or the other is hardly a reason for super delegates to change the rules mid-game. Despite the Obama campaign’s aggressive spin and pressure, the RULES require super delegates to exercise their best independent judgment, and that is what they will do. Even Sen. Obama’s top strategist agrees they should. If not, then why don’t prominent Obama endorsers like Senators Kerry (MA) and Kennedy (MA), and Governors Patrick (MA), Napolitano (AZ) and Richardson (NM) follow the will of their constituents and switch their support to Hillary? After all, she won their states. And if this is truly about the “will of the people,” then Sen. Obama’s short-sighted tactic to run out the clock on a revote in Florida and Michigan accomplishes exactly two things: it disenfranchises Florida and Michigan’s voters; and it hurts Democrats in a general election. Apparently, for the Obama campaign, the “will of the people” is just words.

MYTH: Barack Obama is running a positive campaign that will unite Americans.

FACT: Barack Obama and his advisers have conducted a divisive “full assault” on Hillary’s character.

While talking a lot about the politics of hope, change and unity, Sen. Obama and his campaign have been conducting a relentless and singularly personal assault on Hillary’s character. They have blanketed big states with false negative mailers and radio ads and have described Hillary and her campaign as “disingenuous,” “divisive,” “untruthful,” “dishonest,” “polarizing,” “calculating,” “saying whatever it takes to win,” “attempting to deceive the American people,” “one of the most secretive in America,” “deliberately misleading,” “literally willing to do anything to win,” and “playing politics with war.”

This “full assault” on Hillary’s integrity and character has reached a new peak since Hillary’s victories on March 4th. One of Sen. Obama’s top surrogates equated President Clinton with Joe McCarthy; another called Hillary a “monster;” and his campaign manager held an angry conference call claiming that Hillary is “deeply flawed” and has “character issues.” That’s neither unifying nor hopeful. If Sen. Obama really is the prohibitive favorite some say he is, these negative attacks make absolutely no sense. Why would a frontrunner seek to attack and divide? If Sen. Obama can’t unify Democrats in a primary, how can he unify Americans in a general election?

Fact Check: Sen. Obama Accepts Over $1 Million From Subprime Lending Industry
Send to a Friend »

The Obama campaign’s response to the comprehensive plan Hillary laid out to address the housing crisis today was not to discuss their disagreement with her proposal but to assert that Hillary has received contributions from subprime loan companies.

Considering that Sen. Obama has received $1.18 million from subprime lenders and has taken more campaign contributions from the top ten issuers of subprime loans, that attack rings hollow as just words. Sen. Obama has a record of talking about standing up to special interests and then caving to their demands. Hillary has a 35-year record of standing up to special interests and delivering results.

MEMO: Obama Campaign: Just Words
To: Interested Parties
From: The Clinton Campaign
Date: March 21, 2008
RE: Obama Campaign: Just Words

At this point, it’s no secret that the Obama campaign is in political hot water given the news stories of the last few weeks and is desperate to change the subject.

The ground is shifting away from them and their response?

First, disenfranchise voters - Prevent new votes in Florida and Michigan. Stop voting in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Oregon, West Virginia, Puerto Rico, Kentucky, South Dakota, Montana, West Virginia and Indiana.

Second, peddle photos of President Clinton shaking hands with Reverend Wright less than 48 hours after calling for a high-minded conversation on race. Well, President Clinton took tens of thousands of photos during his eight years as president. Stop the presses.

Third, accuse our campaign of having something to do with Senator Obama’s passport file being breached, a reckless charge that has zero merit.

Fourth, continue attacks on Senator Clinton’s character in an effort to implement what the Chicago Tribune called a full assault on her ethics.

Fifth, stonewall the press: no tax returns, no state records, no answers about the inconsistencies in the Rezko story.

So it’s not a pretty sight - it’s all part of a pattern of just words.

Senator Obama talks about voter participation while actively disenfranchising millions.

He calls for high minded debates while practicing lowdown politics.

He promises a different kind of campaign while attacking Hillary’s character.

He promises transparency while hiding basic info and stonewalling the press.

It’s no wonder that Americans are coming to see that for all of his lofty rhetoric, Senator Obama’s candidacy is really just words.

It’s no surprise that Americans are expressing serious doubts about his ability to answer the 3am call.

It’s no wonder that top journalists are calling the Obama campaign desperate, saying that it’s amateur hour in Chicago.

THOSE OF YOU WHO DON’T WANT ANOTHER BONEHEAD BUSH IN THE WHITE HOUSE!!!

DON’T VOTE FOR OBAMA OR JOHN McCAIN WHO ARE BOTH BONEHEADS!!!

- OBAMA:
By not DISOWNING his pastor and instead DEFENDED him is like another BUSH AND CHENEY who inspite of some problems caused by their decisions are still defying the will of the people…

Do we need to wait for another series of outrage by this Pastor AND BAD JUDGEMENT OF OBAMA before WE will finally say it is enough!!!

Right now we can tell what kind of JUDGEMENT Obama has for standing with someone who is creating divisions to Americans by being a Racist who is Condemning America and even accusing American Goverment for Creating HIV Virus to Plague Black People…
Obama himself admitted that this man distorted American History yet he can not DISOWN him because he said HE IS PART OF HIM!!! - WOW!! - BONEHEAD!!!

- McCAIN:
JOHN McCAIN WILL HAVE US HOSTAGE BY STAYING FOR 100 YEARS MORE IN IRAQ!!!
- BONEHEAD!!!

This is the start of Obama’s downfall…

- GOV. BILL RICHARDSON OF NEW MEXICO - WAS ONE OF THOSE SUPER “SALE” DELEGATES TELLING PEOPLE THAT SUPERDELEGATES WHO REPRESENTS THEIR GROUPS SHOULD VOTE AND FOLLOW THE RESULTS OF WHAT THEIR CONSTITUENTS DECIDED TO VOTE…
- NEW MEXICO STATE VOTED FOR SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON TO BE THE PRESIDENT AND WON IT HANDILY…
- BY ENDORSING OBAMA??? HE BLATANTLY BETRAYED NEW MEXICO ELECTORATES…
- BILL RICHARDSON DID THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT HE IS TELLING AND ADVISING OTHER SUPERDELEGATES!! - WOW!!! TRAITOR!!!
- THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT MONEY CAN DO TO SOME INDIVIDUAL LIKE THIS TRAITOR TO BETRAY EVEN HIS OWN CONSTITUENTS WHO VOTED FOR SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON.
- BILL RICHARDSON IS COMPARABLE TO JUDAS WHO BETRAYED CHRIST FOR 30 PIECES OF SLVER… OF-COURSE HE WILL NOT TELL US HOW MUCH MONEY DID OR WILL HE RECEIVE FOR THIS BETRAYAL??? PROBABLY ENOUGH TO BUY HIS FREEDOM FROM HELL!

-I’m not surprise at all with the decision of Bill Richardson to support Barrack Obama…
Just like what i said before…”Bird of the same feather flock together…”

When asked why he endorsed Obama? He replied: - “I felt something Good about this man…”

-WHAT THE HECK IS THAT MEAN??? - “I FELT GOOD ABOUT THIS MAN???…”

-SHOULD THE BASIS OF YOUR ENDORSEMENT BE ABOUT YOUR “FEELINGS” TOWARDS HIM AND NOT ABOUT HIS PLATFORMS??? YOU ARE SO RIDICULOUS!!!

-AS WE ALL KNOW BILL RICHARDSON WAS A VERY GOOD FRIEND OF THE CLINTONS AND IN-FACT SERVED AS PRESIDENT CLINTON ENERGY SECRETARY AND MUST KNOW HOW THE CLINTONS HANDLED VERY WELL THE COUNTRY AT THAT TIME YET BETRAYED THEM…

- RICHARDSON ENDORSED OBAMA SIMPLY BECAUSE OF HIS CHARISMA TO MOSTLY BLINDED ELECTORATE AND TRYING TO RIDE THE OBAMA STAR QUALITY FEVER…

- NEGLECTING HIS RESPONSIBILITY AS A LEADER TO HIS CONSTITUENTS OF MOSTLY HISPANIC TO DEPEND HIS ENDORSEMENT BASE ON THE QUALITIES OF A CANDIDATE WHO CAN PERFORM WELL IN HELPING HIS CONSTITUENTS HAVE A BETTER LIFE AS AMERICANS…

- RICHRADSON IS SIMILAR TO MICHELLE OBAMA WHO IS UNGRATEFUL AND WILL ONLY DO THINGS THAT WILL BE BENEFICIAL TO HIMSELF AND NOT TO THE MAJORITY OF THE AMERICANS…

-YOU ARE SO PATHETIC AND PROBABLY HOPING LIKE HOWARD DEAN THAT OBAMA WILL PUT YOU IN THE LISTS OF HIS VP CONTENDERS…

-BILL RICHARDSON CAN NOT CHANGE NOW THE PERCEPTION OF THE AMERICANS REGARDING OBAMA’S “JUDGEMENT”…
- Inspite of the outraged caused by his racist pastor he still did nothing but defended this person who is clearly harboring racism, hate towards white people and preaching divisions which totally different from what he is advocating…Hope and Change… How can he advocate change if he himself can’t set a good example and STAYING HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH THIS EVIL RACIST PASTOR .
-THIS IS LIKE ANOTHER BUSH AND CHENEY IN THE WHITE HOUSE WHO DEFIES THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE TO PROTECT A FEW INDIVIDUAL WHO BETRAYED PUBLIC TRUSTS…

-Superdelegates should be thinking NOW what’s good for the Democratic Party, and who will be more electable on November facing GOP candidate John McCain who is now preparing to throw all Stinking Kitchen Sink to Obama in case he will be the nominee… There is no one to blame but Obama itself for making himself beatable in this coming Presidential Election because of associating himself to some contovertial individuals who are either CORRUPT, RACIST OR A TERRORIST!!! THERE IS NO WAY AMERICANS WILL VOTE FOR SOMEONE LIKE THAT IN THE HIGHEST POSITION IN THE LAND…

- VOTE SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON AS PRESIDENT ‘08…..

-WE WILL BE IN GOOD HANDS IF HILLARY CLINTON BECOMES THE 44TH PRESIDENT OF OUR BELOVED COUNTRY…

Obama has succeeded in dividing the Democrats. If Obama’s name is on the ticket then Hillary’s supporters will be voting for McCain. America does not need ignorant racist in the White House. Obama never should have attended Trinity!

I am truly amused by comments read about my Pastor and “hate mongering” yet contained within this and other blogs are the descriptives of bloggers who describe themselves as “white.” Why is your description needed? Better yet; does your description of yourself validate your views because you have a skin condition that you had ABSOLUTLY NOTHING TO DO WITH?

I’m tired of McCain saying he knows nothing about how the economy works after spending 900 years in the Senate. I’m tired of hearing McCain do the latest Dick Cheny and link Al-Qaida with Iran like Dick linked Al-Qaida with Saddam. NewsFlash folks: The Sunnis don’t get along with Al-Qaida and NEVER have. NOT ONE of the 9/11 hijackers as Sunni. (or Iraqi; for that matter) I’m tired of fear mongering towards Iran. Look at a map. Iran sits between Afghanistan and Iraq and we are conducting military ops in both countries; while we are under the Bush pre-emptive election strike policy (talk about wagging the dog!) Given that fact; wouldn’t YOU arm yourself? I’m tired of McCain not “rejecting or denouncing” a Pastor who says we need to eradiacte Islam. I’m Christian and the God I serve created Islamic folks just like he created Christian folks; yet WE get to decide who stays and who goes? What’s the rational?; “if they ain’t like us’ we need to kill em?” Yet; “all men were created equal.”

I’m tired of Hillary taking 3 am phone calls in the whitehouse and ducking bullets in Bosnia! For as much as I am a student of history; I don’t remember that. I’m tired of 2 people who have never been President saying that the 3rd person isn’t qualified to be President. How do they know?

I’m tired of spending 12 million a month in Iraq fighting terror; yet within our borders the KKK, Aryan Nation, Michigan Militia, Church of the World Creator, Gangster Disciples, Latin Kings MI-13, Blood, Crips and many other terror organizations exist.

I’m tired of the notion that we are the epicenter of this world and we are the only country that matters in this world. I’m tired of more being made about Obama’s middle name(something HE had nothing to do with) and it’s potential links to Islam than the status quo that has left most of us on this blog page out of the loop and wondering how we will pay for gas, send our kids to college and possibly retire. I’m tired of living in fear of other countries; other cultures and other people. I’m tired of polarized knee jerk reactions to statements about our issues and nothing being done to fix our issues. I’m tired of one segment of our society not knowing anything about another segment of our society(except for the news clips) then reacting with ANGER when the segment they knew next to nothing about; doesn’t see life thru the same rose colored glasses.

Most of all I’m tired of the miseducation that replaces facts. Tim Robbins said it so well in the movie “Shawshank Redemtion” ; “Hope is a good thing; maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.” I “HOPE” Obama becomes the next President of these yet to be United States. I do note hope this simply because we are both black men. I hope this because him being a black man and President will force us to move beyond the status quo that currently sees difference and deficiancy and neglects to use the skills and knowledge that differences bring. When Barak Obama is elected the next President; we can FINALLY end America’s Civil War.

OH BY THE WAY; Obama didn’t “peddle” the picture of Rev Dr Jerimiah A Wright Jr. and President Clinton. Rev. Wright and several other Pastors were invited to a prayer breakfast during “Monica-gate.”

At the time; Bill needed some friends so he called on the only folks he could turn to: Black Pastors. The rest of the country (including FOX NEWS) was ripping him a new one.

OH BY THE WAY II; This was also the time span that Clinton launched a Tomahawk missle strike at Osama Bin Laden that the GOP called “wagging the dog!”

Check the FACTS boys. Rev was well known when he was invited. YOU just got the memo. Bill knew EXACTLY who he was.

Good for Nancy, she back a republican. Hats off to her loyality to her party. I am not a republican but feel this is a polite move of a good friend to both the republican party and John McCain to unite his party behind their candidate. Good for her.

Comment by Brenda in SC

Intersting the only thing you Republicans can talk about in Clintons term as President is Moncia Lewinsky. Maybe first of all you should get out your history books and look at George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Taft, FDR, and others. Bill had an affair, GET OVER IT. George Bush stood in front of the American public as did Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfield and lied about weapons of mass destruction. Weather you back the war or not - his dishonesty and lies to the public are far worse than having an affair (which by the way didn’t kill anyone and cost this country trillons we don’t have)…

By the way, Bill is not our candidate - Hillary is.

I can say I don’t see the Democrats being so hateful and mean on these blogs as our Republican co-Americans.

This should be a blog about the respect that Nancy Regan showed to your candidate. Althought I don’t agree with John McCain’s view, I do feel he deserves respect.

Brenda,

Give me a break. Clinton did not do much for AMerica. Second of all, DO you rally beleieve that Bush just sat there to lie. You really think the the President of the United States gets to make that decision alone. (WAR). No…. Both (Dems. & Rep.) sit around the Round Table and go over the intel provided by not only US but allies. By the way…. half the intel provided came from the Clinton admin. who more then once accused Saddam for WMD.

You dem. should learn the art of war the process of it. It is not determined by a single man or party. Please make sense inorder to be respected with your comments. (Sound smart in other words).

Good day!

Nancy had no other choice than to endorse McCain. Here is the real issue that I have with each of the Senators running for President. They are all “still” Senators and they all have been MIA when votes in the Senate Hillary 27% Barack 37% and McCain 56%!! Why is this not brought up. These people are still representing their states collecting pay checks but have no regard to vote? I guess the 56% is the eye catcher considering this goes all the way back to 2007!!!

Comment by Jess

Brenda~

Bill Clinton lied as did GWB. A lie is a lie. Hillary has lied, Barack has lied and so has McCain. When Hillary stood next to her man and made Monica out to be a harlet that was great but then America found out that Billy lied and that goes against her “character”!

By the way to defend Billy who was in control of the House when we had our sites on OBL? I believe it was the Republicans? I guess my point is would he have to congress to get it approved to kill him? If so then you really can’t blame him for the whole hiccup with OBL!

Someone clarify if I am wrong!!

What better way to have Al Quida destroy this country from the inside out…..

Obama will not get my vote. Also this whole race thing is so frustrating…..i think it is a smoke screen to derail people from the fact that Barack Obama is a Muslim name NOT african-american.

Patty, if you were referring to Nancy Regan as the bag of bones you are not only
rude but very stupid. She is an elderly LADY who earned the respect given to her.
Everyone seems to be bashing Bush. Let me tell you, I think he did what he thought
was right for the American people to keep them safe. He went against the polls, and
lost his popularity to follow what he believes in. I sure can’t say as much for any
one running now that only thinks about how to win, say anything rather they believe
in it or not and lie.

Martin is an Obama supporter and has twisted things to his own bias. All supposition of the circumstantial and very poorly done…no facts to support it.

Show me a statement where Mr. Clinton said I support Farrakhan and show me where his (Mr. Clinton’s) church gave him a life time achievement ward. Poor comparison.

By the way, supporting the million man march does not imply an alignment with Farrakhan and his views. I would have supported the underlying premise of it as President also and I think Farrakhan is more oppressive to blacks than most.

By the way, I would probably vote for Obama before Clinton if I was forced at gun point to choose between the two. What Clinton has done is only forgivable by God. Very immoral and unethical person.

This is wonderful news. No Obama and no Clinton but definitely NO OBAMA

Nancy is still such a lady. John McCain is our only hope to save our nation. We are at war people and like a fight with the neighborhood bully, you can’t just quit in the middle. That big bruiser will be waiting for you on the school ground tomorrow or will follow you home just like the Muslim Extremists. To get respect and be left alone you have to deal with them like the bully at school.

VOTE JOHN MCCAIN! HE UNDERSTANDS WE HAVE TURNED THE CORNER IN IRAQ–ARE MAKING GOOD PROGRESS AND MUST WIN!!

All you liberal women–wait until you learn, like the Obamamama when she was taken back to Indonesia by her Muslim husband where he quickly reverted to being a typical Moslem man–just how repressive Islam can be for women. You won’t like having to ask a male relative to take you to the grocery store (in the back seat of the car cause you can’t drive), wearing a burka, being locked at home withou access to birth control and possible genital mutilation. Think about it before you want our trooops to come home prematurely. Women have an especially large stake here in winning the war against Muslim extremists.

Comment by Michael in Atlanta

Nancy Reagan’s endorsement is as meaningless as the endorsement by George Bush. We all know that John McCain is not the pick of the conservatives. John McCain appealed to the Republican base and the independent voters who are leaning LEFT and has won the nomination. McCain is where is is today because he survived the conservative attacks on him. Nancy Reagan’s endorsement is just another attempt to make the Republican party appear unified behind John McCain.

Having failed the get their guy, Mitt Romney, nominated, the conservatives are now focused on keeping the Democratic disunified. For they know a unified Democratic party will crush the Republicans where Bush and Cheney have made such a mess of things.

I would say well done. Obama has lost the independents and crossover republicans (that is what put him over the top for Hillary) and Clinton has lost many that are worried that the war she was in left
