Whether you believe in this war or not, it is detrimental to keep saying we’re losing, or it’s we can’t win…..blah, blah, blah.

I guess the people of this country have forgotten that we have been under attack for years. They forget the first attack on the WTC, they forget the Khobar towers, they forget the US embassy bombings, they forget the attack against the USS Cole. By the way this all happened under Pres. Cinton. He also proposed that we go to war with Iraq.

Every attack has escalated because we didn’t stand our ground, until 9/11 happened. Then it ticked this country off. Everyone was behind going after the terrorist…..WHEREVER THEY MAY BE, and to go after states that sponsor terrorism. Maybe I’m wrong, but wasn’t Saddam paying the families of suicide bombers? Not to mention the terrorist traing camps that were inside of Iraq….. and YES they were there, when my brother went to Iraq , his unit found and over ran numerous ESTABLISHED training camps.

But what happened??? President Bush said this was going to be a long drawn out fight. That we had to have patience. THIS IS NOT A VIDEO GAME that can be won in an hour.

We need to stay stong and positive for the moral of this country and the soldiers.
Its one thing to disagree, its another to have a fatalistic attitude, that we can’t win.

We are the best military in the world with the bravest soldiers, have some faith in them!!!

Banks and mortgage companies are nothing more than drug pushers. The drug they push is debt and Americans are dumb enough to get addicted.

I don’t think we should be punishing those who chose to prudently abstain from the debt drug by rescuing the drug pushers with the tax dollars of the former. I feel sad for the addicts, but I really don’t see why a foreclusure due to this situation is somehow more worthy of rescuing than those resulting from any other imprudent financial decisions.

Banks have been trying to convince people they can have it all now and pay later for a very long time. They are really quite evil.

Live within your means.

I “get” that McCain “means” only a presence in Iraq and Afghanistan for 100 years — like unto Germany and Japan, but what McCain doesn’t “get” is that merely our presence there is sufficient to radicalize Muslims into insurgency — because they don’t want us there!

So while McCain perhaps visualizes peaceful miltary bases like those at Yokosuka and Okinawa, the Muslims won’t have any part of that. It’ll be full-on war for as long as we are there….

If the banks and brokers want to traffic in these risky mortgages they have to assume the risk and pay the price if things head South.

The government is not there to protect us from our own stupidity or at least it shouldn’t be.

Unfortunately some of the pain filters down to us in reduced home values (which were probably inflated anyway) and greater difficulty in qualifying for a loan.

There is a place for government to ensure the integrity of the system by maintaining sufficient liquity within the Federal Reserve System.

Other than that let the chips fall where they may. The sooner the pain begins the sooner it will end.
