Interesting post Scotty boy. It is to bad I have no job and and just spout hard line conservative positions all day according to you and Gary. Please read what I adressed to Gary as he made the same ridiculous comment.

We can do this song and dance all day, but I am getting a little tired of it. I know what I wrote and you know what you wrote. If anyone cares, they can read our exchange and decide for themselves.
Here is the deal, what really pisses me off is when you call me a hardliner. When I have said nothing in my opinion of that nature. I live here in Southern Nevada and also see the effects of illegal immigration. Some of my best friends are hispanic. So I have nothing against Hispanics or anyone for that matter. However, it is Hispanics who are coming over in droves illegaly. I have never said these people are evil people and have said in other post on other blogs, I do not blame them when we have a weak president when it comes to securing our borders. I am sorry if you feel John McCains immigration bill was good for the country, then we will always disagree on that. By the way who specifically is giving the summaries of those votes you mentioned?
You did say that I believe we should not allow illegal immigrant children into our schools. I never said that. If you actually read what I wrote, I said there should be no tuition breaks for illegals. I am sorry, I thought you would have understood that a tuition break is usually refered to college.
Here is what I believe we should do some, of which I have already mentioned. Here are just a few points. Since you asked.
1. Immediatley create a bill that will severely penalize companies for hiring illegals and actually have someone enforce those penalties. You see we already have laws, but nobody enforces them. If we do that, than companies will not want to keep getting penalized, so they will stop hiring illegals. Therefore, when illegals realize there is no work, which is the main reason they came here for, they will leave on their own. There is no need for a round up.
2. Do not allow illegals to rent or purchase homes. If there is nowhere to live they will go home on their own. Apply stict penalties to those who allow this. Again, actually enforce it.
3. Immediatley build a border fence where it is feesible, and create a virtual fence where the terrain is rugged.

These are three simple measures that will guarantee the flow and hiring to stop. Noticed, how I put securing our borders last out of the three. Reason, because it will take longer to do. The first two could be done immediately. I would give 6 months grace period for companies to make changes, than start to enforce penalties if companies to not abide.
Don't you see what this will create. It will force those at the top to have to sacrifice their bottom line and have to hire AMERICANS at a higher pay. Eventhough, John McCain doesn't say so, people will do those jobs if the money is right. Why, most people do not go to college let alone graduate with a degree. So if they were to receive a substantial incease in pay, I believe people will pick the lettuce as you say. Then that means people will have take their jobs and will now force that employer to hire other people, creating more jobs. This would greatly help minoritity and all Americans for that matter. As I mentioned I am a believer in capitalism, but I am tired of these men and women at the top of the companies hire illegals for slave wages, just so they have a bigger bottom line. It is not legal or ethical.
I do believe we can not turn away anyone from medical care in the ER. I know you may sound suprised and why do I say that? Reason, if I am vacationing in another country and me or my family member gets hurt and needs medical help, I do not want them to turn me away because I am not a citizen of that country. Yes it is true that I would have a passport, but I may not have it on me at the time. This is why I say you do not fix this problem at the ER or public schools. You fix it by the things I mentioned. I will say that if you are an illegal immigrant, legal citizens get first priority in the ER or anywhere else. It is compassionate, yet fair. I have already discussed the problems of what illegals bring to this country so I will not go into it any further. Most are good people, but there are alot of good people all around the world that would love to come here. And we can not say that those who oppose this are racist.

Here are just a few of my thoughts. It definetley is a complex matter. However, if it is not a major priority, then things will never get solved.
I am sorry, but I still completly disagree with you on Juan Hernadez. As I mentioned, I have no problem hiring a well known hispanic to reach out to the hispanic community. Why could McCain not have chosen Roberto Gonzalez. I don't believe I ever heard him promote open borders the way Juan has. I still may have differences with Roberto or Alberto however you say it, but I would not be making any kind of a big deal if he chose him. To answer your analogy of having people who disagree with you on some points, but work for the common good for the company or anything for that matter. I do not think you would hire someone to your company who says how great your competitors are and how great it is to have them take advantage of your company. What is Juan Hernandez promoting to John McCain? Equall rights to hispanics. Their already is. Juan wants equal rights to illegal immigrants and this is where Mark Krikorian and myself agree. This was the point I believe Mark was making when you referenced part of his article. We never said we should not give equal rights to mexicans or anyone for that matter. We just say No to illegals except for the ER and public schools. Is that racist? Like I said, if we do that, than we have to give the same rights Americans have to Philipinos, middle easterners, south americans, get the drift? I am not going to hire the leader of planned parenthood to bring together people who disagree on abortion. It is a oxymoron. So I do not feel I am being a hardliner because I do not want a open boarders specialist working for the potential next president. If it is for votes, than that adds more insult to injory to the point I have been making.
Last thing before I get back to work. Then again I do not work according to you and Gary. To say my sources are hard right wingers I would disagree. I do not believe Oreiley is anywhere near right winged if you watch his program. I do not believe Brian Ross is either. As a matter of fact I feel he would call himself a liberal off the record as he supports Democratic views. I also do not believe Rich Lowery is either and eventhough he endorsed Romney, he has always given John McCain a fair shake. Or else he would not be on fake news all the time.
I know it is easy to paint guys like me a right wing hardliner, but I disagree for all the things I have mentioned thus far. You are right that this party is becoming a moderate party. However, there are still not enough moderates to eliminate the conservative vote and win in November.

American Conservative continues to blather...

You still have not told us why you love a guy like Juan Hernandez working for McCains campaign. Are you ashamed?<<<<

Nope. I addressed it above. I never said I supported Hernandez. For a guy who pounds his shoe on the table about putting words into people's mouths you sure seem to do a lof of it.

You should be if you claim to be an American. While you are at it, share with us all why you love LA RAZA. I would love to hear your definition of how Juan Hernandez and La Raza represent American Values.<<<

See above. And please quote where I said La Raza represents American values.

Scotty, where are you???????? It’s okay, I know you will never answer any of my questions as I have answered yours or your false accusations.<<<

See I have this thing called a job and what that means is that sometimes I can't spend all day debating with you because I actually have things to do that are more important.

Nope. I addressed it above. I never said I supported Hernandez. For a guy who pounds his shoe on the table about putting words into people’s mouths you sure seem to do a lof of it.

See I have this thing called a job and what that means is that sometimes I can’t spend all day debating with you because I actually have things to do that are more important.

Ahhhh....it's a beautiful morning in Arizona.....the sun is shining, the birds are singing, American Conservative is ranting. Ok let's see what he's on about now.

Try, I provided you with opinions based on facts that you do not want to debate.<<<<

Actually you provided me with opinions besed upon the opinions of ultra-conservative columnists after accusing me of listening to McCain propganda (which apparently means you believe the United States Senate's website is McCain propaganda since that's where I got my information).

However, you have been exposed for the phony you are. You see when I call you a liar, I back it up with facts.

Some you have. Mostly you have backed it up with articles from Mark Kevorkian and after reading some of them (before you posted them) I understand completely why you hold the opinions you do. I also disagree with his conclusions for the most part as well.

My favorite line of his BTW is when he argues against McCain on the basis that McCain supports “not just as tolerance of cultural diversity...but as the demand for legal recognition of the rights of ethnic, racial, religious, or cultural groups.” Oh the cad!!! God forbid we recognize equal rights under the law for people of different ethnicities, races, religions, or cultures. Where I come from we have a name for people that are against that too......racists.

Did you forget how he voted against the Bush tax cuts as I mentioned in my earlier post to you. <<<

Nope. I also know from looking at his voting record that is the exception and not the rule.

In regards to illegal immigration, since you are a professional copy and paster, please show me where I have ever said we need to do the old round up.<<<

Ok...so you are not going to throw them out but you are not going to give them citizenship either. So what are you going to do? Now believe me, I am no fan of amnesty and in fact I wrote Senator McCain several letters on this topic alone expressing my opposition. However, there are legitimate arguments on his position as well which I will not deny. I live in Arizona. I deal with illegal immigrants all the time and I know first hand what impact it has on the economy. I also know that for the most part they are not the evil people that many of the conservative hard-liners make them out to be. Most of them are just trying to improve their lives. Yes there are the criminals. However, denying education to an illegal alien, for example, creates crime. A 15 year old kid who can't find a job and can't go to school is going to get into trouble. Your answer may be "well deport him" and I am not necessarily against that. However, the logistics of that are mostly unrealistic in any short time frame. So unless there's a mass round-up you will have a problem with illegal immigrants having few options but criminal activity in the interim.

Then again, you love guys like Juan Hernandez and what they stand for so open borders is a concept you accept.<<<

NOW who is putting words in whose mouth? Please point to one post where I said I agreed with Juan Hernandez. In truth I do not support his agenda or that of La Raza at all and I do NOT accept open borders. I am actually in favor of digging a trench across the border and filling it with burning gas. That's sarcasm of course, but I believe the borders don't need "secured", they need completely locked down.

Sorry, I do not. It is one thing to embrace cultures from other countries, it is another to have them replace ours with theirs.<<<<

Who is resporting to scare tactics again?

This is exactly what Juan Hernandez and his dispicable cronies are advocating. Then again, it does not bother you that this man is working for McCain.<<<

I am not thrilled about it but I understand why he is doing it. Hernandez has great pull with the Hispanic community and hence the Hispanic voting block. Politics makes strange bed-fellows. Rush Limbaugh is in Hillary Clinton's corner right now. It doesn't mean he agrees with her, but she is a means to an end for him. Heck, I have people on my staff I disagree completely with and I ask their advice just to see what the opposition opinion is. Now I am not going to argue that McCain is this "anti-immigration iron fist" but neither is he the push over many hard-liners seem to think he is.

So based upon what I have shared with you, how am I such a hard liner.<<<

Because you come across as an extremist who views things in black and white and you appear to refuse to accept that both sides of this issue has valid arguments. You have this "one drop of liberal blood makes you a flaming liberal in these parts" attitude and you show little willingness to co-operate. In fact you have said you will not exchange your values just because a guy has an R next to his name. Fine, that's your call. If you don't want to vote...don't vote. But don't complain either if Obama or Hillary wins the White House and that means you can't complain when the Supreme Court is filled with justices who make law from the bench (you might want to have a look at the ages of the current justices btw). You can't complain when your taxes increase. You can't complain when border security remains hype with no action. You can't complain if we tuck tail and run from Iraq and allow Al-Qaeda to firmly establish themselves there. You can't complain when we lose the petrodollar and we actually start to feel the effects of our enormous national debt. I guess you will have your principles.

This is the very reason why this party is heading for disaster. No party can ever win an election without its base.<<<

Neither can a party win without the moderates and Independents and after Bush the Independents will not support a hard-line conservative and a good portion of the moderates won't either. And BTW I would argue that the GOP is not suddenly "going left". I would argue it is simply returning to where it was BEFORE the religious right and extremists gained control of the party. I always find it interesting how the hard-liners pound their shoe about needing a guy like Ronald Reagan. Guess what...we have one. Reagan would very likely be considered a moderate in today's political climate.

One last thing Gary. You said, "I thought it was conservative values to work hard and long to get ahead and to stand stedfast to high morals and base your life on faith."

I ask you know Gary, what have I said that would lead you to think that I am not a man of morals and base my life on faith. Because I want to secure my countries borders. I want to use proven and effective interogation techniques that have saved millions of lives. I don't want to raise taxes. I want to keep prisoners out of this country and leave them in Guantanamo. I don't want open boarder advocates working for a man who says he is now going to focus on securing our borders. I don't like a double talking man who does one thing and says another. Your telling me I am lowering my morals and standards because I am exposing these things. If you actually read my post, which I know you did not because that would require intelligence, you would see that I admire John McCain and his ultimate service for our country. He truly is a war hero. However I don't elect a candidate on merits that took place over 30 years ago. I elect a man base upon his record and his plans for future policy. But according to you that would be immoral and not being true to my faith.
Gary, do yourself a favor and go back to moveonoutofthecountry.org and tell George Sorrows hi for me. If you want to debate the issues at hand, I would love to. But don't spout the self rightous crap, I can't stand that. I guess I will go to bed, so I can go to work tomorrow for profit and not patriotism. Don't worry Gary, I do not expect you to get that, it is way over your head.
