Obama Slams New Hillary Clinton Ad
Just after 8:30pm on a balmy Friday night outside of San Antonio, Texas, Obama looked out at a see of some 8,000 spectators. He was midway through his stump speech and then decided to sock it to Hillary Clinton for running a new campaign ad entitled “Children” - or as it’s being referred to in media and political circles, the “Red Phone” ad because of its similarity to a 1984 ad with the same name run by Walter Mondale in 1984.
“I want to take a moment to respond to an ad that Senator Clinton put up today,” Obama stated as the crowd began to jeer. “We’ve seen these ads before. They’re usually the kind that play on people’s fears and try to scare up votes. But it won’t work. Because the question is not about who’s picking up the phone – the question is what kind of judgment will the person who answers the phone have?”
Senator Obama has made his consistent anti-war voice an example of his judgment in the realm of all things foreign policy - and once again, his weapon of choice to attack Senator Clinton’s foreign policy experience is her vote for the Iraq War Resolution in 2002.
“Senator Clinton may not be aware, but we already had a red phone moment. It was the decision to invade Iraq. And Senator Clinton picked up the phone and gave the wrong answer. And John McCain picked up the phone and gave the wrong answer. And George Bush picked up the
phone and gave the wrong answer,” he said, not so subtly linking her decisions with those made by Republicans McCain and Bush.
“I stood up and I said this war in Iraq would cost us billions of dollars and thousands of lives. I said it would distract us from the real threat we faced. That’s the judgment I made on the most important foreign policy decision of a generation and that’s the kind of judgment I’ll show when I pick up the phone at 3am in the morning!” he exclaimed to rousing applause.
He then wacked President Bush for good measure - always a crowd favorite at Democratic rallies. He promised he would use his judgment to provide, equip, and train troops and to “use them wisely and not deploy them because of some ideological bent that you were on, but because it is absolutely necessary to protect the United States of America – that’s the answer that I’ll give when somebody calls me on the phone at 3am in the morning!”
Obama ended his rant by saying he won’t scare up votes using the threat of terrorism. “I intend to make sure that we rally the country together, against our common enemies – that we’re distracted by politics when it comes to our national security. That’s the judgment that I intend provide when I’m president of the United States of America.”

Several had so little on record that the only reference I could find was the Hillary press release or repeats of it in the media.
To be fair, some of the guys above were in units that could have seen combat, but didn’t. Most were simply support echelon who never had a chance of hearing a shot fired in anger.
A number of them are Clinton sponsored promotions to the highest female this, or the highest Filipino that, etc, etc.
Folks, I give credit to all of these men and women for serving their country. However, after doing a little digging, I see no reason to be even slightly impressed with the endorsements. When she can line up a list of warriors, I will take notice.

The more I read about Obama, the more fearful I become. His record of drugs, association with criminals, the radical black only church and dirty politics. The worldwide support of every muslim group in the world with money and endorsement. Louis Farrakhan, with his Nation of Isalm is a real concern and Obama’s church endorsed him. Obama is not presidential material. His black only mentality is very troublesome and not right for our country. Both Obama and his wife received Ivy League education through affirmative action, but now they are finally proud of our country. Neither of the Obama’s had the grades or finance for the Ivy League college education, but the taxpayer got stuck with the huge expense. Don’t you get that warm and fuzzy feeling regarding the Obama’s. I didn’t use his middle name.

Looking from the outside in, President Bill Clinton was the best President the USA had in the last 20 years. Now you have the worst in history in George Bush.
Hillary in every debate has answered her questions clearly and in detail while Obama just sits there and responds with ‘ I agree with Hillary and furthermore…”. This is enough proof that demonstrates he is definitely not cut out for the job.
The media gave Hillary a rough ride. The media keeps throwing out these obscure polls where this demographic here is gaining for Obama here and another obscure poll the media throws out thats says Obama that…so what’s up with the media ?
Obama says too he wants to go and talk with the US adversaries with no preconditions. Absurd !! Why is anybody even buying into this guy’s jive talk ?
I want to add too that this is the worst and most biased media coverage of a primary and Presidential election I’ve ever seen. I challenge anyone to prove I’m wrong. I’ve been proven right in these political matters 9 times out of 10 and I’m sure I’m right now.

I absolutely have to disagree with this. The highlights that you have mentioned are two that yes, should be commended - however is record IS subject to much dispute concerning the times in which he has chosen, consciously NOT to vote on imperative issues within the Senate.
For instance: In 1999 Senator Obama was faced with an extremely difficult vote in the Illinois legislature, a bill which would allow Juveniles to be tried as adults. This had massive implications for African Americans and the potential to cause great controversy within that group.
VOTE: Neither yes or no. He voted ‘Present’ - effectively meaning he side stepped the issue.
130 OTHER times he took this stance within the Senate. On this note, when you state that you are shocked at the cries of millions of Americans who state that Obama lacks substance, on this issue who can really dispute this notion?
Although voting ‘present; is not unusual - it does raise the fundamental premise on which his campaign had been founded upon: he has tried to distinguish himself from Senator Clinton as a somebody who is ready to lead, who does despite popular belief, have the experience and tenacity with which to lead this incredibly bruised country.
He has not however, proved through this 130 - Present - record - that he can take on the tough issues - the issues which will undoubtedly face him on ‘Day One’ and shape the lives of the American people - if they issues present a hard line or a hard truth that people might not want to digest.
His record reflects also something else - at least 36 times Senator Obama was the ONLY state senator to vote present or was part of a tiny minority (5/6).
This is clearly with motive as opposed to being mindful of the issues at hand - his present votes stood out amongst widespread support because he has admittedly confessed to use them to register objections to part of the Bill - an act which you do, if you are mindful of running the risk of saying ‘No’. It clearly gives him political cover.
So I ask you - is this transparency…..
No….it really is more of the same. Washington Politics at its finest….
No ‘Change’ there then - a term he has so often brandished and banded around to fit his rhetoric….this time Senator Obama, I am certainly not falling for it. I hope to goodness the American people follow the lead.

First of all Obama voted for NAFTA himself in 2004 and if people especially you young voters would stop following the media; Have you ever stopped and thought that the younger generation has grown up to be media kids, meaning in a lot of instances they vote for what the media represents as the going thing - like “Obama” without even researching all the facts. It’s amazing to me that people are voting for “Obama” someone that does not follow our country’s traditions, no hand during the pledge, “a Muslim past”. “Obama, Clinton Donating Heavily to Superdelegates’ Campaigns

The study tracked donations received by members of Congress from the candidates’ leadership PACs and from their candidate committees. It tracked donations made to governors by examining the presidential candidates’ expenditures.
Among the findings:
— Since 2005, Obama’s committees gave $228,000 to superdelegates who have endorsed him, $363,900 to those who were still undecided, and $102,400 to those who have endorsed Clinton.
–Clinton’s committee’s gave $95,000 to superdelegates who have endorsed her, $88,000 to those who
were still neutral, and $12,500 to those who have endorsed Obama.
Email Misrepresents Hillary’s Legislative Record
There is an email circulating that grossly misrepresents Hillary’s legislative record, as well as the record of Sen. Obama. (Various versions appear on the Obama campaign website here, here, and here.)
The email only gives Hillary credit for bills where she was the original sponsor and have also been signed into law. Here are the facts. In her time in the Senate, Hillary has sponsored 21 bills that have become law including:
— a bill that extended the availability of unemployment assistance.
— a bill which established a program to assist family caregivers.
— a bill that provided benefits to public safety officers who were killed or injured during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
But Hillary’s accomplishments in the Senate are not limited to bill sponsorships. Among her many other legislative accomplishments:
— Hillary worked with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) to expand access to health care for the National Guard and Reserve.
— Hillary passed an amendment that created a national program for teacher and principal training and recruitment.
— Hillary used Senate rules to force the Bush administration to make emergency contraception, also known as Plan B, available over the counter.
Meanwhile, the email gives Sen. Obama credit for every bill he introduced or signed on as a co-sponsor, whether or not they became law. The reality is, since Sen. Obama joined the Senate (applying the same standard the email applies to Hillary) he has sponsored two bills that have become law:
— a bill that sought to promote democracy in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
— a bill that named a post office.
has become the Senate’s point man on ethics and now says he will no longer accept rides on corporate jets. This after having accepted 23 such flights, some to attend his own fundraisers, in 2005 alone. He joined only a handful of Democrats in voting against a Senate reform banning the widespread practice of legislators hiring their family members on their campaign or PAC payrolls. He does, after all have a very activist wife.
“OBAMA” is a Republican in a donkey suit.
Ethical questions also surround Obama’s shady real estate deal and relationship with indicted political fundraiser and Arab-American activist Tony Rezko, who befriended Obama during his Harvard days.
Obama bought a $1.65 million dollar mansion at a gigantic discounted price, some $300,000 less than the asking price. The same day, Rezko’s wife bought the adjoining lot, paying the full $625,000 asking price. The Rezko involvement invited a second question for Obama: did Rezko’s wife in effect subsidized Obama’s purchase of the opulent home and also provided an abutting private preserve that adds to its ambience? The lot isn’t accessible from the public street but can be reached from Obama’s property.
Pretty good for a guy earning $165,200 per and who once ran his credit cards up so high that the credit card company denied him access to further use of his card.
Obama has proven himself to be a nearly perfect leftist dhimmicrat. He supports homosexual marriage, racial preferences, gun control, flag-burning, socialized medicine and the absolute right to abortion, including partial-birth abortions. He is anti-war, voted against the reauthorization of the USA Patriot Act, against privatizing Social Security and opposes the death penalty, three strikes laws and school vouchers. He has no military service record.
He believes in the separation of church and state — except when he campaigns in black churches.
He loves Jimmy Carter and is the 18th most liberal member of the Senate, receiving a 100% rating from Americans for Democratic Action, NARAL Pro -Choice America, National Organization for Women, the NAACP and the National Education Association.
Some may say that this backgrounder is biased, however, perception is everything in politics and both Ted Kennedy and CNN (Cable News Network) have mistakenly referred to Obama as Osama (as in Ben Laden).
I just don’t believe America will ever elect an urban-liberal, apostate Muslim and self-admitted drug user to the Office of the President of the United States.
What really scares me, though, is that I could be wrong.
Inspiration is nice. But some folks seem to be getting out of hand.
It’s as if Tom Daschle descended from on high saying, “Be not afraid; for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all the people: for there is born to you this day in the city of Chicago a Savior, who is Barack the Democrat.”
Obama supporter Kathleen Geier writes that she’s “getting increasingly weirded out by some of Obama’s supporters. On listservs I’m on, some people who should know better – hard-bitten, not-so-young cynics, even – are gushing about Barack…
Describing various encounters with Obama supporters, she writes, “Excuse me, but this sounds more like a cult than a political campaign. The language used here is the language of evangelical Christianity – the Obama volunteers speak of ‘coming to Obama’ in the same way born-again Christians talk about ‘coming to Jesus.’…So I say, we should all get a grip, stop all this unseemly mooning over Barack, see him and the political landscape he is a part of in a cooler, clearer, and more realistic light, and get to work.”
Joe Klein, writing at Time, notes “something just a wee bit creepy about the mass messianism” he sees in Obama’s Super Tuesday speech.
“We are the ones we’ve been waiting for,” Obama said. “This time can be different because this campaign for the presidency of the United States of America is different. It’s different not because of me. It’s different because of you.”
Says Klein: “That is not just maddeningly vague but also disingenuous: the campaign is entirely about Obama and his ability to inspire. Rather than focusing on any specific issue or cause — other than an amorphous desire for change — the message is becoming dangerously self-referential. The Obama campaign all too often is about how wonderful the Obama campaign is. “
The always interesting James Wolcott writes that “(p)erhaps it’s my atheism at work but I found myself increasingly wary of and resistant to the salvational fervor of the Obama campaign, the idealistic zeal divorced from any particular policy or cause and chariot-driven by pure euphoria. I can picture President Hillary in the White House dealing with a recalcitrant Republican faction; I can’t picture President Obama in the same role because his summons to history and call to hope seems to transcend legislative maneuvers and horse-trading; his charisma is on a more ethereal plane, and I don’t look to politics for transcendence and self-certification.”
Then there’s MSNBC’s Chris Matthews who tells Felix Gillette in the New York Observer, “I’ve been following politics since I was about 5. I’ve never seen anything like this. This is bigger than Kennedy. [Obama] comes along, and he seems to have the answers. This is the New Testament.”
And behold, Obama met them and greeted them. And they came up and took hold of His feet and worshiped Him.
The Holy Season of Lent is upon us. Can Obama worshippers try to give up their Helter-Skelter cult-ish qualities for a few weeks?
At least until Easter, or the Pennsylvania primary, whichever comes first…
UPDATE: Let me be clear: I’m not saying there shouldn’t be enthusiasm in politics. I’m merely touching on the fact that some Obama supporters’ exuberance seems to be getting a little out of hand. Obama himself joked about this at a Hollywood fundraiser, as noted in Men’s Vogue:
“When Morgan Freeman comes over to greet Obama, the senator begins bowing down both hands in worship. ‘This guy was president before I was,’ says Obama, referring to Freeman’s turn in Deep Impact and, clearly, getting a little ahead of his own bio. Next, a nod to Bruce Almighty: ‘This guy was God before I was.’”
Great job, Hillary on your win in New Mexico! Continue to campaign and reinforce to the average American worker that Obama continues to give invigorating speeches, but has never provided a plan to improve health care. Also, he has never addressed the high gas prices, heating bills, grocery bills. I applaud Obama for motivating speeches but we need someone who will produce and who actually has a plan to help the middle class struggling families. The term “Change” is only a word if you don’t have a plan!

I went out a limb, though and voted for Romney, and I didn’t regret it!
He did more (as Governor) to advance issues important to the homosexual community than any Governor we’ve ever had. I even saw him march in the Gay Day Parade in Boston a few years back.

What I see when I look at our field of Presidential Candidates in light of current world events and leaders.
On the Democrat side of the isle I see two very different Candidates with very similar views for our country.
One is Senator Clinton.
In Senator Clinton’s campaign I see nothing but strife, contention, in-fighting and a struggle to get a consensus to make a decision. How can we rely on a leader who can’t even keep unity in her own ranks?
The other is Senator Obama.
In Senator Obama’s campaign I see a sensational speaker who rides the tide of emotionalism. When times were not favorable we see his campaign withdrawn, subdued and searching for presence of mind. We know the demands of the Presidency are far greater than any campaign. There will be many times where unpopular decisions need to be made under challenging circumstances and we need a leader who can handle the stress with the presence of mind to make those decisions. We need more than emotions. We need substance.
On the Republican side of the isle I see two very different Candidates with very different views for our country.
The first is John McCain.
In Senator McCain I see a great hero who struggles to maintain his composure. I see a Candidate who has shown time and again how he loses his presence of mind and temper over little things that are out of his control. I see a Candidate who could lead us to premature preemptive action when delicate diplomacy is required. I see a Candidate who will make a tense situation worse. I see a Candidate who needs a staff to manage him. How can we have a President who struggles to handle the little things and think he will somehow be different facing Vladmir Putin or Ahmadenajad?
Last but not Least is Mike Huckabee.
In Gov. Huckabee I see man who has faced the ridicule, scorn and contempt of the Republican establishment, the Media and fellow religious leaders and remained unflappable. I see a man who did not cower, wilt or fade in spite of overwhelming odds. In Mike Huckabee I see a man who keeps his presence of mind in all situations. In Mike Huckabee I see a man who brings levity to tense and challenging situations. In Mike Huckabee I see hope. In Mike Huckabee I see a future with sealed borders! In Mike Huckabee I see a future with the largest military power in the world! In Mike Huckabee I see a future with Fair trade! In Mike Huckabee I see a future with the Fair Tax!
In Mike Huckabee I see a President with a vision for our Country!

Clinton’s chief campaigners within the Hispanic community in Texas, which holds a primary Tuesday, has been Henry Cisneros, a political leader from San Antonio who served as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under Sen. Clinton’s husband. Until late last year, Mr. Cisneros sat on the board of Countrywide, one of the most-lucrative board seats in Corporate America. The position grossed him more than $5 million in stock sales since 2001 and paid him a $360,000 salary in 2006, Securities and Exchange Commission records show.
A crisis-management public-relations firm headed by Mark Penn, the Clinton campaign’s chief strategist, was hired by Countrywide to restore its image and employee morale shortly after the company reported a $1.2billion third-quarter loss and announced massive layoffs. Chief Executive Officer Angelo Mozilo said at the time that the company was being “demonized something fierce.”
One of the more vocal critics has been New York Sen. Clinton, who is in a tight race for the Democratic presidential nomination. In a recent television interview, she cast Mr. Mozilo as “one of the principal architects of this whole house of cards” that has become the subprime mortgage fiasco.
In a debate in January, Sen. Clinton criticized the generous severance package Mr. Mozilo initially expected as part of Countrywide’s pending purchase by Bank of America Corp. “You know, the priorities and the values are absolutely wrong,” Sen. Clinton said.
In a telephone interview, Mr. Cisneros said that while he agrees with the broad housing policies Sen. Clinton has outlined, he believes she’s wrong to vilify Countrywide. “A perfect storm” led to its troubles, he said, adding that history will show “Countrywide is not the Enron that some people have described it as.”
When Mr. Cisneros left the Countrywide board and its audit-and-operations committee in October, he praised Mr. Mozilo, writing in his resignation letter that his confidence in the long-time CEO “is unwavering.” The SEC is investigating past accounting practices—and Mr. Mozilo’s 2007 stock sales. There is no indication Mr. Cisneros is part of the probe.
Mr. Cisneros said he hasn’t spoken to Sen. Clinton about her statements regarding Mr. Mozilo or Countrywide. “I don’t agree with the characterization of Angelo Mozilo as ‘the architect of this whole house of cards,’” Mr. Cisneros said. He said that he, too, “had issues” with the size of Mr. Mozilo’s severance package and said he resigned, in part, because he wasn’t “in the position to influence, at a detailed level, some of the things I thought should be done.”
Mr. Cisneros said he sold the stock he received in compensation from Countrywide on a “fairly consistent” schedule over several years to raise cash for his own development company, Los Angeles-based Cityview. He said he continues to hold approximately 25,000 shares of Countrywide.
Jay Carson, a Clinton spokesman, said Mr.Cisneros will continue to hold a high profile in the campaign. “He’s an old friend and a great asset,” Mr. Carson said. The two are scheduled to campaign together this evening at a rally in San Antonio.
Mr. Penn replied to questions in an email, saying: “For several weeks, Countrywide was one of 1,500 clients at the WPP-owned firm of Burson-Marsteller,” the public relations firm where he has served as global chief executive at the same time he has worked for the Clinton campaign. “I personally did no work for them,” he added.
The Clinton campaign declined to comment on Mr. Penn’s connection to Countrywide.
Countrywide didn’t return a phone message to its press office seeking comment.
Sen. Clinton’s campaign has received very little money from Countrywide employees. Federal election records show she has received contributions from only four donors who identified themselves as employees of the mortgage company, for a total of $5,000, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a Washington nonprofit that tracks political donations.
Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, Sen. Clinton’s rival for the Democratic nomination, has received donations from 13 Countrywide employees, totaling $11,000.
The rash of foreclosures in the wake of the subprime-mortgage market’s problems has become a potent political issue for both Sens. Obama and Clinton. Both candidates have developed policies to mitigate the effects of the lending turmoil and to prevent future problems in the industry.
Sen. Clinton’s plan goes the furthest. She recently proposed putting a three-month moratorium on mortgage foreclosures and a five-year freeze on rates of adjustable-rate mortgages.
With a combined 334 delegates at stake in a race that remains close, Ohio and Texas, both of which hold primaries Tuesday, are among the biggest prizes left on the nominating calendar. The Clinton campaign has declared both must-wins. Both states have foreclosure rates far above the national average, according to RealtyTrac Inc., a marketing company that tracks these figures.
In Texas, federal statistics suggest that the subprime crisis is likely to disproportionately affect Hispanics, a voter demographic the Clinton campaign believes is key to a victory in that state. Nationwide, more than 40% of Hispanic homeowners have subprime loans. Of that number, about one in 12 will eventually lose their homes, according to federal projections.
Few high-profile supporters in Latino-heavy Texas come with as much demographic appeal as Mr. Cisneros. Landing the former secretary’s endorsement was a coup for Sen. Clinton. A former mayor of San Antonio, as well as a former cabinet secretary, Mr. Cisneros is a nationally known Latino.
He does, however, have political baggage, once pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of lying to an FBI agent. He was pardoned by President Clinton.
As a Clinton supporter, Mr. Cisneros has made some references to Sen. Clinton’s housing policies, including at a rally earlier this week in Laredo, Texas. The Laredo Morning Times reported that he told the crowd that the former first lady was the only candidate who would ensure similar mortgage crises didn’t happen in the future.
“She’s focusing on trying to make sure this doesn’t happen again by dealing with the issue of transparency of mortgage documents, of dealing with the issue of the brokers that got out of hand and other aspects that created this problem,” Mr. Cisneros said at the rally. “So I think she’s been very substantive.”

I’m really tired of Sen Clinton whinning about unfair treatment in the press. Until recently I thought Clinton or Obama would be a good choice for America. However, I have changed my mind watching how Hilliary reacts. She cries if it’s hard or things are not going as she planned, she says she honored to be with Obama, then the next day it’s shame on you Obama, she tries to take over a debate if when she’s told it’s time to move to the next question, and the facial expressions displayed leads me to think: She may break down in difficult situations and cry. Will give you praise one day and try to shoot you down the next. Will not be willing to listen and take advice. And uses, in my opinion, low underhanded tactics. I have truly changed my mind about Senator Clinton. I think the democrats should take a good look on how she comes across during the campaign. Playing the ever constant Monday morning quarterback falls under the capitalized letters…especially when he did not have a vote or say in the Iraq arena.
JUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE HE DOES - A RESPONSE TO HILLARY. HE HAS STOLEN HER PLATFORM - THAT’S WHY THEY ARE SO MUCH ALIKE. HE HAS NO IDEAS OF HIS OWN AND HIS WORDS ARE SOMEONE ELSES. THE MEDIA HAS SHOVED OBAMA DOWN OUR THROATS AND THEY HAVE BASHED HILLARY FROM ALL SIDES - PRETTY DISGUSTING AND THERE WILL BE A BACKLASH FROM WOMEN. HIS WHOLE PLATFORM IS “I DIDN’T VOTE FOR IRAQ” - WELL, HE WASN’T EVEN IN THE SENATE AT THE TIME. HE IS CLUELESS TO FOREIGN POLICY AND WE CAN’T AFFORD TO HAVE SOMEONE IN A LEARNING CURVE SITTING IN THE WHITEHOUSE. HE IS PROMISING EVERYBODY EVERYTHING - THAT IS QUITE SHALLOW, IN ITSELF - WHO’S GOING TO PAY FOR ALL THESE HANDOUTS. WE NEED UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE FOR ALL AND A GOOD EDUCATION SYSTEM - THOSE TWO ITEMS ALONE ARE HUGH AND WILL TAKE SOMEONE WITH A LOT OF KNOWLEDGE AND FIGHT TO GET ACCOMPLISHED. HE IS FULL OF EMPTY PROMISES AND HILLARY HAS ACCOMPLISHMENTS. GO HILLARY I AM WITH YOU ALL THE WAY. THE LITTLE PEOPLE LIKE ME ARE NOW FUNDING HER AND I WILL SEND IN MORE MONEY THIS WEEK.
Here we are again, and yet this time I don’t hear the easiest argument against Obama. Where is it that we are again - where Obama says that Iraq was not our enemy, there were no terrorist in Iraq, bla bla bla. By that sickening “logic” Obama would not have joined the fight against Nazi Germany after December 7th, 1941- since there were no Japaneese in Germany. It is a disgusting stance from a person who vows to utilize the UN to negate the need for “unilateral” (a baldface lie) use of our military. Since nearly every one of the UN sanctions imposed after the gulf war had been violated, the UN inspectors kicked out, and continuous targeting of our planes in the no-fly zones, terrorists being trained by Saddam wasn’t even the reason. What simplistic moral cowards back Obama? He is nothing more than a fad that will pass when the gravity of choosing through free elections the leader of the free world settles on Americans in November.

I would agree with you on some points regarding experience…which apparently you don’t have either! Perhaps you should look at our history before you start speaking of people highly…or…lowly. This makes you seem like a ten year old.
Example 1: I know Former President Kennedy was well liked (and loved…a.k.k slick willy) but please name three major contributions he accomplished during his tenure in the oval office.
Example 2: Former President Clinton also falls under the well liked category and I would once again, please, name three major contributions he accomplished during his tenure in the oval office…excluding his sexual conquests of course.
Example 3: Former President Washington. He falls under a totally different category for several reasons. Prior to becoming president, he was part of the colonial parliament as well as overall command of the military. It was his proved leadership under the most arduous of conditions that he proved himself. He also united a frayed military which had suffered many defeats and proved himself by actually uniting them.
Example 4: Former President Ford. He took over after the resignation of President Nixon and lost his bid to stay as president to former President Carter. President Carter spoke of change and uniting our country. Since you weren’t even a thought back then, let me point out that 52 Americans were held for 444 day in Iran. One of these Americans is a family member of mine who to this day has to suffer for the hope of change.
You can do as Mr. Obama has done and play Monday morning quarterback, but as someone who has studied our history, who has had to endure while a family member was being held; all the while “HOPING” the right thing might be done, who has served our country in the military abroad during both peace-time and conflict, and who currently has a son…older than you…who is recovering from near fatal wounds he suffered in Iraq, I suggest you don’t refer to others as ten year olds when you apparently don’t know our history.
Look it up for yourself. I don’t need hope, I wake up with hope every day and know the difference before a quarterback and a Monday morning quarterback (refer to my earlier post).
I beg all of you, please consider the two candidates logically and with reason! I was on the fence, but truly, the more I hear about Obama, the more I realize he is JUST like the rest of the politicians, but without the experience! The republicans are sabotaging our election and Obama is throwing jab after jab at Hillary but then crying foul when she fights back.
I am saddened, I am sickened, and I am desperate
