McCain denounces anti-Obama remarks, use of Dem’s middle name

Cincinnati, OH — Sen. John McCain was forced to take time Tuesday to disavow disparaging remarks made about Sen. Barack Obama by conservative talk show host at a rally.

Asked by local organizers to warm up the crowd while McCain was still en route to the event, controversial WLW radio talk show host Bill Cunningham used Obama’s middle name, Hussein, three times during his remarks and referred to the Democratic contender as a “hack, Chicago-style, Daley politician.”

“I want to disassociate myself from any disparaging remarks that may have been said,” McCain said at the top of a media availability after the rally. “I have repeatedly stated of my respect for Senator Obama and Senator Clinton, that I will treat them with respect that I will call them Senator. We will have respectful debate as I have said on hundreds of occasions. I regret any comments that may be made about these two individuals who are honorable Americans…it will never happen again.”

McCain added that he also believes it is inappropriate to make use of Obama’s middle name for political purposes.

During his remarks, Cunningham said Obama has gotten overly easy treatment from the media and stated his hope that they will “peel the bark off Barack Hussein Obama.”

“At some point, the media will quit taking sides in this thing and maybe start covering Barack Hussein Obama the same way they covered Bush, the same way they covered Cheney and the same way the cover every Republican,” he said, also mockingly describing Obama’s foreign policy when he gets into the White House.

“Obama just came back from meeting Ahmadinejad, he’s got a meeting the next week with Kim Jong Il of North Korea. Then he’s going to saddle up next to Hezbollah, they’re going to have a little cookie and cream party,” Cunningham said.

Campaign officials are quick to point out that local organizing officials selected Cunningham to rev up the crowd as part of the pre-program and trusts locals to vet program participants. Though one senior aide acknowledged that the campaign will likely play a bigger role in more carefully scrutinizing individuals who take the stage with McCain at future events.  Camp McCain has been running on a very slimmed-down advance staff but today’s incident makes clear that it may be time to bulk up for the general.

John McCain is the champion for the Moderate Republican, the Independent Voter and the hillary Clinton Democrats. They will elect him in November. The following list of wackos can kiss off.

1. Obama Democrats that have not clue of how to handle any of the World’s problems.

2. The LEADERSHIP of the poor Evengelical Sheep. I wish there was some way to deliver the sheep from the hands of the immoral money grubbing dispicable phony Dobson, Hinn, Robertson and all of the rest. Unfortunitly there isn’t.

3. The mouth-breathing conservative wack jobs like Limbaugh, Hannity and the others.

The people in this group are few but want people to think they speak for many. They do not. All of them put together would fit in a small gym.

John McCain has spent his life trying tt divorce himself from these people. It’s not easy The Limbaughs and Dobsons have attached themselves the the republican Party like leeches.

This year all of that will change when John McCain is elected without any help from them.

The sun will shine brightly on us and on the world in November 2008.

Those who live in or near Cincinnati know that Bill Cunningham has been talking this way on his radio show for many months. Too bad McCain’s camp didn’t know that.

This is just like when Dan Quayle said “Mario, Mario, Mario.” Then he said: “That’s his name, he’d better get used to it.

Mario Cuomo’s response: “I am used to it.”

Bigotry works.

There is nothing wrong with using Obama’s middle name, Hussein, after all that is his name. Hussein is probably a common Muslim name. If Obama doesn’t like his middle name he should change it. The news media loves Obama and his message of hope. He is the pied piper of hope and change. The question is; is he the chosen one? Are happy days just around the corner? ?

Speech is free and condemnation of bigots like Cunningham, limbaugh, Hannity and those that support this type of dispicable stuff is also a form of free speech. Preach hate if it suits you. When you live a dismal life and have a low opinion of yourself these type of comments just flow freely.

Comment by OBAMA IS THE ANTI CHRIST

IM GLAD SAINT OBAMA IS GETTING caught in is OSAMA outfit, even with the media protection! The media is the ONLY reason we are talking about obama today, he might be the first media elected MUSLIM candidate full of racism! With a racist wife who really isn’t proud of her country. Frankly I’m disgusted at the biased media saint hood Osama has received. NO OTHER MAN OR WOMAN has ever been allowed to vote to kill babies, support terror countries, lie about his religion and heritage and be ashamed of having a white mother and patted on the back… HE IS THE ANTICHRIST! (Anti-Christ will be a world leader who would come under the disguise of being a world uniter, preach world peace, and would be such a very likeable and unassuming figure; he will achieve all of that. Basically the Anti-Christ is going to kill us with kindness and reveal himself when he gets to the position he wants. That’s close to Osama’s platform; people are beginning to believe it’s him.” The biggest trick the devil ever pulled is convincing the world he didn’t exist.)
Voters are constantly posting TRUTH about Obamas awful senate record and the media like CNN and MSNBC sweep it under a rug. THE MEDIA IS SCARED TO ATTACK THE BLACK MAN! Funny thing is, he wasn’t black at the beginning until SC he was mixed race? Now if you’re black you are required to vote for racism! He has not moved blacks forward he has taken them back 50 years, just wait! The division is coming once everyone learns his past! Obama has ZERO experience to run this troubled country! Do you think his nice prewritten stolen worded church speeches will get you a job? Save your home? Feed your children? Pay for education? Allow you to get medical care…the answer is NO! HELL NO! SHAME ON YOU FOR THE FINAL SELLING OF AMERICA NOMINATING OBAMA THE RACIST! I’ve always been a democrat but WILL NEVER VOTE FOR OBAMA. If he is the nominee, we might be best to stay with McCain. Was a horrible mess the mainstream biased and racist media has done to this most important election? Im not so PROUD at this moment…

Comment by Obamas record shows he supports the war

.”Obamas record shows he supports the war, voted twice in 2006 against bringing America’s troops back home. He voted for war appropriations giving our money to Halliburton and Blackwater where recently A Houston, Texas woman, who says she was gang-raped by her co-workers at a Halliburton/KBR camp in Baghdad, His latest bit of posturing S 433 allows the Bush Administration to suspend any troop withdrawal!!!!if not suspended, still keeps the troops in Iraq for a long time to come? Obama when faced with tough choices always gave in to pressure from the Bush administration or corporate lobbyists. Such as Obama voted for Bush’s energy bill, sending more than $13 billion in subsidies and tax breaks to oil, coal, and nuclear companies. Obama voted with Republicans to allow credit card companies to raise interest rates over 30 percent, INCREASING STUDENT LOANS RATES AND FEES increasing hardship for families. Obama voted for one of Bush’s top priorities - expanding Nafta to South America - even as President Bush obstructed all the top Democratic priorities. Obama voted with Bush to make it harder for ordinary people to hold big corporations accountable when they do things like sell toxic toys, poisonous pet food, human food or just plain rip you off. Obama was the Senate’s biggest Democratic advocate of subsidies for liquid coal, even though liquid coal produces twice the global warming pollution of the crude oil it’s meant to replace and voted for increased subsidies, albeit with conditions.Obama, a Hamiltonian believer in free trade and supporters of globalization has lent his support to the “Hamilton Project formed by corporate-neoliberal Citigroup chair Robert Rubin and other ‘Wall Street Democrats’ to counter populist rebellion against corporate tendencies within the Democratic Party. Obama provided assistance to pro-war candidates (such as Joe Lieberman). Obama voted for “business-friendly ‘tort reform’ bill that rolls back working peoples’ ability to obtain reasonable redress and compensation…from corporations!!! Obama considers single payer universal health care too socialist and has stated that he prefers voluntary solutions. **He voted against requiring medical care for aborted fetuses who survive. Abortion opponents see Obama’s vote on medical care for aborted fetuses as a refusal to protect the helpless. Some have even accused him of supporting infanticide. He supported allowing retired police officers to carry concealed weapons, but opposed allowing people to use banned handguns to defend against intruders in their homes. And the list of sensitive topics goes on. With only a slim, two-year record in the U.S. Senate, Obama doesn’t have many controversial congressional votes which political opponents can frame into attack ads. But his eight years as an Illinois state senator are sprinkled with potentially explosive land mines, such as his abortion and gun control votes. recent land purchase from a political supporter who is facing charges in an unrelated kickback scheme involving investment firms seeking state business. Obama has no substance. He has provided no solutions.

Comment by Obama said he goofed on votes

Barack Obama rasied some serious eyebrows admitting he was related to none other than Vice President Dick Cheney and drew some serious boos..
OBAMA THE CHANGE AGENT -CNN — Last night, Obama supporter Texas State Senator Kirk Watson was asked to name Obama’s legislative accomplishments. He failed to name a single one. Heres a few
Obama said he goofed on votes angered fellow Democrats in the Senate when he voted to strip millions of dollars from a child welfare office on Chicago’s West Side. But Obama had a ready explanation: He goofed!
Also announced he had fumbled an election-reform vote the day before, on a measure that passed 51 to 6. The next day, he acknowledged voting “present” on a key telecommunications vote. He stood on March 11, 1999, to take back his vote against legislation to end good-behavior credits for certain felons in county jails. “I pressed the wrong button on that,” he said. Obama was the lone dissenter on Feb. 24, 2000, against 57 yeas for a ban on human cloning. “I pressed the wrong button by accident,” he said.

But two of Obama’s bumbles came on more-sensitive topics, he backed legislation to permit riverboat casinos to operate even when the boats were dockside.

The measure, pushed by the gambling industry and fought by church groups whose support Obama was seeking, passed with two “yeas” to spare — including Obama’s. Moments after its passage he rose to say, explaining that he had mistakenly voted for it.

Obama would later develop a reputation as a critic of the gambling industry, and he voted against a similar measure two years later. But he was clearly confused about how to handle the issue at the time of his first vote, telling a church group that he was “undecided” about whether he backed an expansion of riverboat gambling. And, months earlier, he had voted in favor of a version of the bill.

Obama’s vote sparked a confrontation after he joined Republicans to block Democrats trying to override a veto by GOP Gov. George Ryan of a $2-million allotment for the west Chicago child welfare office. being responsible,” said Sen. Rickey Hendon, accusing Obama of voting to close the child welfare office.Obama replied “I understand Sen. Hendon’s anger, I was not aware that I had voted no on that piece of legislation.

He voted against requiring medical care for aborted fetuses who survive. Abortion opponents see Obama’s vote on medical care for aborted fetuses as a refusal to protect the helpless. Some have even accused him of supporting infanticide.
Striking similarities between Barack Obama’s words and those of Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick during his 2006 election campaign have raised eyebrows and attracted traffic on YouTube. The stump speech Barack Obama has been giving aimed at convincing voters that his campaign is not just about lofty rhetoric — is from Patrick, Obama’s campaign acknowledged over the weekend.

John McCain is the most respectable Republicans, I am aware of. He is quoted to have said, that he always choose the interest of his country before his party. All politicians need to follow his lead on this issue. I am glad to see John McCain take the high road, when in comes to calling other candidates names. John McCain sees right through the attempted smear by the NY times and recognizes their actions for what they are. There are media pudits of both sides who report unimportant news in an attempt to sway this election. It is clear that the Republican base has recognized his character and have chosen him as their candidate.

The immature tactics of Hannity and Limbaugh are now exposed for what they are,”USELESS”.

Comment by Morris

One question. Why do Republicans with some power use fear to keep the Republicans without such power so fearfull?

Using his middle name would be ok if they did the same for McCain and Clinton.

Comment by Belle

Obama could easily diffuse this by just using his middle name openly. I wonder why he doesn’t?

Just like that picture he claimed was sent by the Clinton camp. He’s the one causing the speculation by being outraged. I saw the pic and thought “so what”. Why can’t Obama just say “so what”?

All I can say is we wouldn’t have had this problem if Mitt Romney were the candidate instead of John Mccain. Mitt has more class than to have someone give that kind of introduction. I sure miss the dignity and integrity that Mitt brought to the political process.

he is deserving of the chance to bring together the moderates of both partys and the Independents who want no part of the repressive wing of the party. The Evengelical voters need to chase the money changing deviates and fake healers like Dobson, Hinn etal from their Churches and come out for John McCain.

The world can smile again and prosperity will come to those who work together.

It is time all of these groups to declare themselve, support and defend John McCain from those who preach death and doom.

Meet The Obamas

As the Obama juggernaut continues to press on, I thought it would be useful
to continue our look at the Democrat frontrunner and the would-be first
lady, Michelle Obama, as both are making headlines. First, the candidate
and his record.

National Journal, a respected non-partisan political magazine, recently
published its 2007 Vote Ratings. The ratings employ computer-assisted
analysis to examine and rank congressional votes. And you may be surprised
to know who came in as the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate. Hillary
Clinton? Nope. Ted Kennedy? No. John Kerry? Wrong.

According to National Journal’s rankings, which analyzed 99 key Senate
votes, the most liberal senator in 2007 was Barack Obama, who took the
liberal position on 65 of the 66 key votes on which he voted.

On Campaign for Working Families’ Congressional Scorecard, Obama has cast
only one conservative vote out of 48 key votes we have tracked since he
joined the Senate in 2005. That would give him a 2% pro-family score with
CWF! Hillary is only marginally better, at 5%, with four extra years of
service.

The release of National Journal’s scorecard was well-timed coming as Obama
was comparing himself favorably to President Ronald Reagan, and as some
conservatives are even praising Obama for his charm and vision. I suppose
these qualities are refreshing when Obama is compared with his primary
rival, Hillary Rodham Clinton!

Folks who listen to Obama speak may feel uplifted and inspired, but there
is rarely anything substantive in his speeches. Obama often does not go
into detail about his political views or public policy record, preferring
instead to present abstract visions of unity and hope for the future. If
he did go into detail, he would surely put off most Republicans, not to
mention many Independents and moderate Democrats. In fact, we may see blue
collar Democrats coming back to the GOP this year, as they did in 1980 and
1984.

Polls indicate Barack Obama’s chances of winning the Democrat presidential
nomination are on the rise, and he may well be that party’s nominee this
fall. It is therefore high time that voters look beyond the rhetoric and
take a good look at the record of the U.S. Senate’s most liberal member.

Michelle Obama And America

Michelle Obama, wife of Democrat frontrunner Barack Obama, shocked a lot of
people over the weekend when she said this: “For the first time in my
adult lifetime I am proud of my country.” Wow! That takes my breath away.
Mrs. Obama is 44 years old, so for over roughly 24 years of “adulthood,”
taking her at her word, she has never been proud of our nation. Is there
a theme here? You may remember that last year Senator Obama said he
refused to wear a flag lapel pin because it represented a “substitute for
true patriotism.” And what precisely is true patriotism? According to
Senator Barack Hussein Obama, it is opposing the war in Iraq.

Apparently nothing America did from 1982 to 2008 caused her heart to swell
with pride. Not our successful effort to defeat Soviet communism and
liberate millions of people in Eastern Europe? Not our relief efforts
around the world, through which we spent billions to help the downtrodden?
Not anything?

When she learned with all the rest of us how her fellow citizens on United
Flight 93 bravely fought back against jihadist hijackers and prevented
another disaster on September 11th, did she not fill up with pride? As
Americans of all races and classes rallied together in defense of our
nation in the aftermath of September 11th, did her spirit not jump with
love for her homeland? Apparently not.

The Obamas are living examples of the American Dream. Both Michelle Obama
and her husband have Ivy League degrees. They make a joint income of over
one million dollars a year. They live lives that most ordinary Americans
can only dream of. Yet, Mrs. Obama, who wants to be first lady, has been
unable to find the pride in America that millions of ordinary Americans
feel every day.

Sadly, her attitude is not rare among leftwing American elites. We are
“educating” millions of Americans to be globalists first and foremost, and
we are doing precious little about educating our children to be proud and
unashamed Americans.

The Obamas are flying high politically right now, but I don’t believe many
Americans will want to cast their votes this November for a couple so out
of touch with traditional American values.

Please feel free to pass on this “End of Day” update to interested friends
and family members.

According to report McCain was on en route (presumably car with the radio on) so he must have known about these remarks beforehand. Secondly he gave an apology (?) of ‘comments that maybe made’ - strange statement, were they made or not. If its now an one off mishap, but am afraid his campaign is ingrained with sorry, mend something else, I wanted to say something different. Their is no excuse to affiliate yourself with some extreem hate monger, maybe funny to some but very simplified, no-brainer, cheap and predictable. Sounds more a man in desperate attempt to court larger segments of the party, and jumps all over the place to get there. Integrity image has been lowered considerable last couple of weeks, seems he can’t stop making mistakes. Everytime he does or say something one dread the facts what will happen, nightmare it must be for his support staff.

I would prefer to cast my vote for someone who wants to keep the Bush tax cuts and cut down goverment spending. I also want to see the line item veto so we could quit building bridges that seerve 73 people, or spend millions on a hydroplane boat that will transport people from Anchorage, Alaska to other parts of Alaska(based on if they ever actually decide that Anchorage is a booming metropolis) and serves only 100 people or so.

Nice hitpiece Jim…

I would like to speak about your comments on Michelle Obama.

Michelle Obama was born on the south side of Chicago to a father who worked at a water plant and a mother who was a secretary. Hardly a life of privilage living in the segrigated and mostly black area of Chicago. She grew up in an evironment and time where being black meant you had no hope of succeding. She put herself through school and excelled at Princeton. She received her law degree from Harvard.

THAT is what Michelle Obama meant when she said she felt proud for the first time. She is proud because she see’s hope in a system that was set up for her to fail and now she see’s her husband as a way to allow others to break out of the same chains that she was in. Would you be proud when you see poverty, pain and suffering in the faces of people are you… i don’t think so.

Michelle Obama had to work for EVERYTHING she has, including her success. She did it, not anyone else. She is an inspiration to anyone else in her situation to show that no matter your situation, anything is possible.

Get off your high horse, you might find the air is thicker with us “common people.”

A British-Iraqi billionaire lent millions of dollars to Barack Obama’s fundraiser just weeks before an imprudent land deal that has returned to haunt the presidential contender, an investigation by The Times discloses.

The money transfer raises the question of whether funds from Nadhmi Auchi, one of Britain’s wealthiest men, helped Mr Obama buy his mock Georgian mansion in Chicago.

A company related to Mr Auchi, who has a conviction for corruption in France, registered the loan to Mr Obama’s bagman Antoin “Tony” Rezko on May 23 2005. Mr Auchi says the loan, through the Panamanian company Fintrade Services SA, was for $3.5 million.

Three weeks later, Mr Obama bought a house on the city’s South Side while Mr Rezko’s wife bought the garden plot next door from the same seller on the same day, June 15.

Mr Obama says he never used Mrs Rezko’s still-empty lot, which could only be accessed through his property. But he admits he paid his gardener to mow the lawn….

Low taxes… please…

Neo-conservatives have completely abandoned any attempt at a balanced budget or reducing the debt.

If you haven’t checked the United States is 9.3 trillion dollars in debt. And its growing at a trillion dollars a year. Democrats have never even come CLOSE to that amount of spending.

The dollar has already dropped to rediculously low levels and will continue as the debt grows and grows and grows.

How can you say that Democrats are going to raise your taxes when Bush spends a trillion dollars a year? Conservatives have no right to question Democrats on tax issues. Bush has ensured massive tax hikes for decades to come.

Have some comon sense. If you spend massive ammount of cash on a war, you’re going to have to pay for it some how. Did you think money falls out of the sky? Unless someone finds a trillion dollar gold deposit somewhere at some point, someone is going to have to raise taxes. You want to have a pay but you PERSONALLY don’t want to pay for it. The height of hypocracy.

If McCain wants to distance himself from remarks like this then he needs to take the bull by the horns and not have people like these at his rallies. It’s the people one step removed from the candidates who take the cheap shots these days so the candidates can see if it goes over the line and then disavow what was said.

Comment by bho

I supported McCain in 2000 but no longer because he has turned into a wimp, he is “disappointed in the New York Times” and has to “apologize” for somebody who uses Obama’s middle name.. Both Hillary and McCain are afraid of Obama.. they need to get some b..lls. I’m about ready to vote for Ralph Nader or Bloomberg if he runs.

Comment by Jody

One of my biggest problems with McCain is that he sells out Conservatives at the drop of a hat. I understand why he did that, but when he does things like that he marginalizes conservatives. Rush Limbaugh has been my educator over the last few years, and I have come to understand so much more about the constitution, the meaning behind this country, what we have to loose, and so on. As a former pro choicer - I have become to see the value of life. I see why our brave soldiers want to fight for our freedoms. Yet people on this board - a lot of McCain supporters - will be first to blast conservative talk radio as if it were a cancer on our society.

Rush, by in large the leader of the bunch, Ingram, Regan, Levine and so on are champions of the last line of defense for our way of life. Without them, we would have been in the chains of socialism long ago. Blasting conservative radio and eventually ridding this country of them will hurt us in ways we can’t even imagine.

The real issue, so many on this board, McCain and Obama haven’t seen is what the heck is in a name? Obama showing his shame of his middle name is the story here. He is far more Zionist against Muslims then Cunningham was. McCain, by simply assuming that this would be trouble was equally guilty of this. Great men do not act like this - cowards do.

Just because O.J. Simpson was found to responsible for the deaths of his wife and her boy friend, should no other football player rise to greatness under the O.J. name? Obama and McCain are practicing bigotry and everyone on this board who follows suit are also practicing bigotry. If Obama was a really great man, he would have left this issue alone from the start. “Sticks and stone will break my bones” - and so on.

McCain, in his act, diminished his strength by pre-emptively appeasing his media.

Oh come on…

What a set up…straight out of the Clinton’s playbook.

Get someone else to say something (or show a picture) that has an immediate shock and awe response…

Then get your guy/gal to apologize or play ignorant about it…

Just like a lawyer with a witness on the stand…bring something to the attention of the jury (us) that ‘crosses the line’, then quickly apologize…and have it stricken from the record!

It’s already out there. They did exactly what they wanted to do (whether or not it works is another story).

There is NO WAY McKing did not know Bill was going to say those things!

Come on people…starting using your heads!

UPDATE – Obama Continues Misleading Attacks on Trade, Former Clinton Advisor Confirms that Hillary was critical of NAFTA
2/26/2008 11:44:40 AM

“Senator Obama’s insistence on repeating attacks that have been demonstrated to be false by independent entities proves once and for all that his speeches about the new politics are just words. That’s not change you can believe in.” —Clinton spokesman Phil Singer

On Sunday, Sen. Obama said the following:

And yesterday, Senator Clinton also said I’m wrong to point out that she once supported NAFTA. But the fact is, she was saying great things about NAFTA until she started running for President.
This is false. Hillary criticized Sen. Obama for sending out a mailer that claimed she said NAFTA was a “boon to the economy” when she never did. FactCheck.org concluded “We do judge that the Obama campaign is wrong to quote Clinton as using words she never uttered, and it has produced little evidence that she ever had strong praise of any sort for NAFTA’s economic benefits.”

Hillary has been critical of NAFTA long before she started running for President. For example, here’s Hillary in March 2000:

What happened to NAFTA I think was we inherited an agreement that we didn’t get everything we should have got out of it in my opinion. I think the NAFTA agreement was flawed. The problem is we have to go back and figure out how we are going to fix that. [Working Families Party, 3/26/00]
Sen. Obama touts his consistent opposition to NAFTA. But speaking in Illinois in 2004 Obama said the United States “benefited enormously” from exports under NAFTA and talked about the need to continue to pursue trade agreement like NAFTA that support “a system of free trade in this nation that allows us to move our products overseas.”

UPDATE: Last night former Clinton adviser, David Gergen, confirmed that Hillary ‘was extremely unenthusiastic about NAFTA’:

GERGEN: “I was actually there in the Clinton White House during the NAFTA fight and I must tell you Hillary Clinton was extremely unenthusiastic about NAFTA. And I think that’s putting it mildly. I’m not sure she objected to all the provisions of it but she just didn’t see why her husband and that White House had to go and do that fight. She was very unhappy about it and wanted to move on to health care. So I do think there’s some justification for her camp saying, you know, she’s never been a great backer for NAFTA.” [David Gergen, Anderson Cooper 360, 2/25/08]

The Honorable John McCain

John McCain 2008

P.O. Box 16118

Arlington, VA 22215

Dear Senator McCain:

It’s been my pleasure sharing the stage with you this past year, as we have worked to promote our ideas to lead this county. I have the deepest respect for you as a person, politician, and an American hero – and I appreciate the way you have run such an issue-based, positive campaign.

Now that the race for the Republican nomination is down to just the two of us, I believe this is the time for a real discussion about our vision for the future of this great country. I encourage you to join me in a Lincoln Douglas-style debate so that voters can better understand our views on critical issues such as health care, education, energy independence, terrorism and national security.

Our Democratic counterparts, Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, have had recent opportunities to underscore the differences in their positions. It seems only fitting to me that Republican primary voters are offered the same.

I look forward to working with your staff to schedule this as soon as possible. I would suggest we set the debate before the March Fourth Primaries. It is my hope that one of the TV networks would offer to sponsor such an event.

Senator, let’s lead by example and get the ball rolling. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this idea and debating you in front of the American people

Sincerely,

Mike Huckabee

Former Governor of Arkansas (1996-2007)

Bill Cunningham was right on ! Its time somebody finally calls it like it is ! You sure wont here any negative info on Obama on The Censorship Notnews Network !!

Comment by Mike

What is the big deal with Obama’s middle name? people are saying it like he’s a terrorist or something! And since when did middle names have to do with politics? Sure sometimes we called Bush Dubya, but you never heard anyone calling him George Walker Bush… seriously, most of the comments here show not only the ignorance of the American people, but how divided we are as well. The Founding Fathers must be rolling around in their graves right now!!!

Comment by Dan B

Wouldn’t you people like to know whether Barack Hussein Obama is sympathetic to killer muslims and his views on Israel? After all, he is going to be our President, more than likely (thanks to Fox News only covering their man Mitt Romney and all of the money he funneled to the station).

John McCain cannot beat Barack. The GOP is too weak to handle running against a minority and John McCain has the campaigning skills of a high school student running for Class Clown.

Thanks Fox News. Your efforts to get mormon boy Mitt the GOP nomination has left us with an impotent man. It is bad enough you are a biased. It makes it even worst when the result of your slant is an old (liberal) man whose last breath is less than a decade away.

Dan B: Get off the the stage you religious biggot. Your rhetoric here and other story blogs is disgusting and UnAmerican.

Comment by Dan B

What bigotry, American Conservative? You sound like a liberal pointing your stinky little finger to call someone racist in a bully like effort to prove your sanctity.

Barack Hussein Obama plans to wave the white flag to the terrorists and pull the American military out of Iraq. BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA will surrender to Al Qaeda in Iraq. He has already committed to such an effort. Because of this, Americans deserve to know if he is sympathetic when it comes to Muslims. America deserves to know what he truly thinks about Israel.

But none of that matters, right American Conservative. Asking such questions is racist.

Obama will be President. Fox News guaranteed that by their coverage of the candidates and their failed effort to give Mormon Mitt and his money the GOP Presidential Nomination. Now, all of the candidates are gone and we are stuck with a liberal in conservative clothing who is on the brink of death.

Thanks Fox. You are pathetic.

I hope Barack is not as ashamed of his name as he is the fact he is biracial. I have yet to understand why he is a proud black man and not a proud white man. Does the color of his skin define him. I would hope we are beyond tht.

Comment by Dan B

UT Independent,

Don’t you know, if you have one drop of black blood, you are black. If one’s skin is darker than than white, they are black. White people decided that…not blacks.

Dan B: I was refering to your Mormon Boy comment. What you said about Obama is fine with me as long as you do not try to make up false things and slander his faith. If you have read any of my post on any story blog you would know I am no liberal. Why don’t you go read on the ” Thats my little Girl” story blog on how liberalism is a mental disorder. That is besides the point. I am refering to all your anti-mormon biggotry you have spewed along with Cranky on the latest Mike Huckabee story blogs. You are the perfect example of how religious bigotry is a mental disorder. By the way, I never called you racist if you actually read my post.

I salute McCain for his statement. This raises my declining respect for the Republicans.

As for Cunningham: So what if Obama’s middlename is Hussein? I have a friend who named her daughter Bina Ladina not because he adores Bin Laden but because he thinks her daughter will be a continuing reminder that peace cannot be achieved through terrorism.

And Cunningham? He is no different from the brutes — devoid of reason. A messenger is different from the message. Strike the messenger, the message remains. Strike the message, the message will die if it is lacks a sufficient reason for existence. An argument cannot be won by argumentum ad hominem.

I am shocked and appalled at the ignorance of some of these comments. So what if Senator Obama’s middle name is Hussein? What does that have to do with the fact that he is one of the first bright spots of this political arena in many years and I personally thinkg that he would be a much better president than John McCain. McCain and his camp knew good and welll what they were doing when they asked Cunningham to rally the crowd. That behavior is not befitting of a presidential candidate, let alone a president, unless you’re a Republican.

is there a difference in calling hrc hillary rodham clinton and callling oboma his full name? what is wrong with it?
is he ashamed of it.? i remember there was a big flak about her using her own name until she finally changed it to clinton. is he so special we cannot even say his real name? what is going on here?

Here’s what I know about Obama. I know he was raised Muslim, even though he won’t admit it. I know his middle name is Husain. And I know his wife thinks she’s Jackie Kennedy and it took her 45 years more or less to be proud to be an American.

Here’s what I know about McCain..he’s proud to be an American but he has no backbone. The man’s middle name is Husain, mine’s Renee, what’s yours?

Mitt Romney come back!!!

It’s not ok to use the middle name Hussein but it is ok for Obama to make fun of the fact he is related to Cheney????
