Do you work for CNN? or are you just ignorant? Money makes the world go round. If Huck has all this support, why doesn't he have the dough?

Too bad richboy Romney took his money and went home. Now humble Huck doen't have a sandbox to play in since the media loved the religious battle.

Looks like the only way Fox news will report on Huckabee is if he goes on SNL...or if his wife spends the night in Vegas.

Fox, you are a sham! I wonder, if Huckabee spent millions in advertising like Fox's favorite Mormon...would the coverage be different.

Thanks Fox, you have left us with an impotent GOP nominee. I hope the whole lot of your gets fired for your bias...no, I hope you lose your broadcast license. You are a burden on America and continually rape your viewers of the truth when it comes to fair and balanced news.

Fox, you are pathetic.

Crankey:
Again, you love to take things out of context, but when you are getting your information from Ed Decker it completly makes sense. Did Ed Decker tell you to ask Mormons about the Last book in the Bible and how that would prove the Book of Mormon is not true? I noticed in your last post you never mentioned anything about my response to your suggestion as I completley debunked your assertion.
You then say that my religion is a religion of conveniance and then proceed to tell me that works have nothing to do with our salvation, we just have to claim with our mouths that we believe in Christ and we are saved. Our actions mean nothing right? Talk about convienance. I believe the Lord said that we need to love God and our neighbor as the two great commandments. He also has told us in the New Testament that if we love him, we need to keep his commandments. The last time I checked we need to love God in order to live with him. The way we show our love for him is Keeping his commandments. keeping the commandments is not just believing in Christ, but doing as he did. This is why we are told in the new testament to be doers of the word, not just hearers only. James goes further to tell us that faith if it hath not works, is dead. I do not have my bible in front of me, but if you would like the references I can sure get them to you.
We are also taught by Christ to become as a little child, or we can in no wise inherit the kindgom of God. Which means we are to be meek, lowly of heart, teachable, just to name a few. This is because these are all the atributes of Christ. We must strive to be like Christ or how can we ask to live with after this life, when we have not tried to ACT like him. So Crankey you must be really emulating these attributes pretty well and feel your salvation is pretty much made sure. Your recent post really show you are emulating those attributes.
Once again you were wrong in your false accusation on our beliefs of salvation. You say that we believe we must work our way to heaven in order to be saved. Did Ed Decker also tell you that? Of course he did, and you will believe him because you don't like to do any responsible investigative research on what we really believe. So let me enlighten you.
We believe what the new testament teaches in that faith and works are required for salvation, not just works alone. However our faith and works alone will not save us. We are saved by the Grace of Jesus Christ because he fills the void between imperfection and perfection. He can only do this if we have done everything to follow his commandments. This is why we are commanded to repent continually of our wrong doings, but we will still be not perfect, and we know that no unclean thing can dwell with God because God is perfect. Therfore his grace is necessary to fill that void and only Christ can grant it because of his atoning sacrifice and resurrection.
So once again you lied to us all about what we believe. You are going to believe what an apostate from the Church believes and take it as fact. This is why you ask what real members of our faith believe. Guys like you prove my point of men and women lying and distorting others faiths without any merit. This is why good evangelical Christian who follow the ways of Christ can never get true information of what Mormons believe, and consider us a cult because they are being fed this garabage from people like you. I know you will probably share some more misinformation about our faith, so we can go through this excersise till the cows come home. Frankly, I think I have made my point that anything you say can not be trusted and is not even worth responding to.

Make fun of Huckabee all you want. I believe he knows McCain is a ticking time bomb, ready to go off at any moment. Just watch him when he addresses things like the NY Times story. If McCain explodes before the convention, Huckabee will be poised to step right in.

American Conservative,
What I've stated is true ol buddy. As to why your Living Prophet isn't running for office, could be,because He doesn't live up to what the Bible, deems a true prophet....The test of a true prophet is the results of the prophecy(whether true or not)...having said that,if you research Mormon History, you'll see that the so called living prophets even dissagree with each other.Sounds like a religion of convenience in that we can say what we want to today and if it doesn't sit well tomorrow,we'll just simply say something else.
If you read the new Testament, you'll find out that it was Jesus Christ that fulfilled every prophecy of the old testament prophets.Incidently, there is no reference to Lucifer being Jesus Brother, either as long as we're talking about false accusations
Ed Decker at "saints alive.com" was a Mormon for 20 yrs and was a priest, and went to the temple,go there and see for yourself.Maybe you'd believe one who has been there and done that,(so to speak)...No need for me to go to the Mormon website to be told, what it is apparant, that you have been
As far as arguing with you is concerned, that would be stupid,as you won't even admit to what is written in your own literature.
You also might want to read II Timothy 3:16,to sooth your explanation of the truth of Scripture, and somewhere else,in my Bible(I'll let you find it since you need to get into the New testament a little bit,and that you think I'm a wise guy)it states That "Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.....which leaves no room for error as far as I'm concerned. He died on that cross for you as well as me,and did so, so you, dont have to work your way into Heaven,it was through Grace....which means "Gift"
The only other thing you've said to me, is the same thing that the people that knock on my door say,and they always say they'll be back, when they get an answer...I have no problem with the people that come to the door, just what's been done to them......If you'll refer my last remark to your reference to men make mistakes .....I'll leave it at that

Joe,

If you want to talk about bias, take a look at the AP version of the story. It could only have been written by someone who is such an imbecile as to not realize that Huckabee's refusal to exit the stage was part of the skit, or by someone who is intentionally trying to mislead the public into thinking he is an idiot.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/02/24/ap/politics/main3869278.shtml

(AP) Even though Mike Huckabee is still battling for the Republican presidential nomination despite long odds, he said Saturday he won't "overstay his welcome." Then he did precisely that, lingering on the "Weekend Update" set of "Saturday Night Live" despite repeated cues to leave the stage.

The former Arkansas governor appeared in a "Weekend Update" segment in which he described his confusion over whether it is mathematically impossible for him to win the nomination over front-runner John McCain. After anchorman Seth Meyers explained the numbers, Huckabee responded: "I'm not a math guy, I'm more of a miracle guy. So at this point I'm gonna focus on the miracle part."

However, he said: "Mike Huckabee does not overstay his welcome. When it's time for me to go, I'll know. And I'll exit out with class and grace."

Then he remained seated at the "Update" desk even though Meyers made it clear it was time for him to leave.

"SNL," known for its political humor, has been on the sidelines for nearly four months because of the Writers Guild of America strike. The political landscape has changed a great deal since then, with easy targets for the show's satire, like Fred Thompson, Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney, dropping out of the Republican race, and Barack Obama overtaking Hillary Rodham Clinton on the Democratic side.

The last time NBC broadcast a new episode of "SNL," on Nov. 3, Obama played himself as a guest at a party thrown by Hillary and Bill Clinton. McCain hosted an episode of the show in 2002; Giuliani hosted in 1997, when he was mayor of New York City.

THIS is unbiased???

Crankey: You truly are an unintelligent crankey Mormon hater.

First of all, I love how you take things out of context and did not even provide a source. At least some of you are using sources, but still love to take things out of context.

Second, if your false accusation was true, why would our Prophet not be running for office or involved with getting people elected? Please provide all the names that our Church leaders are trying to get elected. Joseph Smith ran for President in the early 1800's. Part of the reason was because his followers were being persecuted and murdered for no reason other than their faith in God. There was even an extermination order issued by Govenor Wilburn Boggs of Missouri. Washington Government officials did not know of many of these things and Joseph wanted to bring them to light. There has been no Prophet since then that has ran for President.

Third, you mention "Read the last chapter of the last book in the New testament, and see what it says about adding or subtracting to and from the words of the Bible……….the Canon of Scripture ends with the book of Revelation." I have read the old and new testament and believe these records to be the word of God as far as they are translated correctly. If you had any intelligence at all you would know that the word bible means " collection of books". All the books in the cannonized new testament were not written in chronological order. I thought a biblical scholar like yourself would know that. This would mean that Revelations was not the last book written. Therefore any books or letters that have came after Revelations would not be true. Men, not prophets and apostles were the ones who translated and compiled the letters and compiled them all into one book known as the Bible. As we know men are not perfect. For example, there are contridictions in the Bible. You ask where? If you turn to Acts 9:7 ( King James Version) it reads ” And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.” Obviously the voice they heard was that of the Lord, but they did not see the person in which it came from. However, in Acts 22:9 it reads ” And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.” So according to Paul the men saw the same light Paul saw, but did not hear the voice of the Lord. Again this is a clear contridiction, but is done by men that translated it. I guarantee you if we walked side by side with Paul during his ministry, his experience would have always been the same. Does this mean the Bible is not true? No, it proves that men are not perfect and make mistakes.

Since you are such a wise guy, why don't you educate us all on what Mormons feel the Book of Mormon to b. While you are at it, please explain to us all how our first article of faith is UnChristian. It states "We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost." Wow, now that is unchristian. I know you will not read that on anti-Mormon websites or books. So if you really want to go to the official website of the Church, visit Mormon.org or lds.org. I know biggots like you will not want to go church sanctioned websites so enjoy reading falshoods about our faiths and portraying them as truth.

Joseph Smith ran for President in the early 1800’s.

Third, you mention “Read the last chapter of the last book in the New testament, and see what it says about adding or subtracting to and from the words of the Bible……….the Canon of Scripture ends with the book of Revelation.” I have read the old and new testament and believe these records to be the word of God as far as they are translated correctly. If you had any intelligence at all you would know that the word bible means ” collection of books”.
