Live from New York it’s…Mike Huckabee
Mike Huckabee will be making a guest appearance on Saturday Night Live tonight,as reported first by Fox Embeds on Wednesday. Huckabee will be arriving at the Saturday Night Live studios this evening in New York for tonight’s broadcast. Huckabee staffers say the candidate is very excited about this opportunity, and has been a fan of the show for years.
This will be the first show,in 16 weeks, due to the writers strike. Huckabee will not be hosting, that honor goes to former SNL cast member, and current 30 Rock star, Tina Fey.
Yesterday, Fox asked Huckabee who he thought would make a good Obama impersonator on the show. SNL, known for their satirical wit, is searching for a suitable actor or comedian to play that role. Huckabee didn’t offer up any suggestions for the Democratic frontrunner, but said he knew who be a good fill in for him.
“If I couldn’t show up they were going to either get Brad Pitt or George Clooney, ” he said, smiling.
done
Huckabee has been a favorite of late night talk show hosts, including Stephen Colbert, and Jay Leno. This will be his first time as a guest on what many consider not just a late- night comedy show but, as an American institution of comedy and satire, especially political satire.

Should be a banner night on SNL. And good for Mike for appearing, I like his sense of humor.
Go Mike! You’re not going get the nomination, but you can surely get to be the VP and I hope that you do! You cannot but love this guy!
Good for Huck. He seems like a real person, unlike that fake sham of a sellout McCrap. Too bad the GOP is screwed with this washed-up old loser. Mike would’ve made a great nominee…..
See…. Mike is a real guy. When was the last time McCain did something fun, besides a thumbs up? That’s why so many people like Huckabee. In comparison to McCain, Huckabee rocks. Fox should have a Republican debate before March 4. Ohhhh wait. That’s right. Fox sold out. Maybe the debate could air on Currrent. Ohhh that’s right. McCain knows he’s not going to look well next to Huckabee. I’m sure the Reagan debate was pretty embarrassing. McCain is a nice guy .. I guess.. his winking and stiff smile are friendly. But doesn’t he realize he doesn’t have a chance against Obama? Everyone hates D.C. Republicans–real world republicans included. Hopefully, Texas and Ohio will dig deep and vote for the person they believe in. Not the person monopolized by the networks. Good journalism. This teacher with a B.A. in journalism has lost faith in the “establishment” of journalism. I used to look up to it.
Anyway, Huckabee’s awesomeness is reflected by his appearance on SNL.
So, politically, I can somewhat understand going on SNL….A year or so before the campaigning. You can get your name out there. Huck is once again behind the times. Someone should tell him, that doing it now doesn’t help him politically. A year ago, it gives him name recognition. He has that. He is known for exactly what he has claimed to be. A preacher-turned-politician. Too bad he was a crook doing both. Now he is looking for recognition to further his speaking career. That is fine. The sad thing is…PEOPLE still vote for him. Actually anyone who ever voted for him, proved they never did any research. The man can’t win. If McCain, stooped low enough to have him for the VP, he would definitely bring the religious nuts with him, and push everyone else away.McCain is struggling enough as it is, as he should be. He isn’t a conservative, and neither is Huck.
Just so you know. I am not supporting Obama even though he did SNL a year ago. It was a better move, for a…if you can believe it….worse candidate that Huckabee. Hucks bad, Obama is worse. Clinton and McCain are a toss up as to who would do the most damage, but both better than the first two. God help our country.
ike,
You hit the nail right on the head regarding Huckaphony!
McShamnesty,
Huckaphony is way more of a sham than Grandpa Munster!
I was quite surprised by what I learned about Huck, especially because he is an ex-minister. Please do your homework before voting for this wolf in sheep’s clothing!

Ike,
You’re asking God to help our Country?????What are you smoking Buddy…You refer to God on one hand, and ridicule Christians on the other, and then to top it off, support a Guy that was raised a Muslim…..Just what God are you referring to…….?…Try to make some sense…Huh
Ike’s got it all wrong. This isn’t as much about tring to get votes and more about having fun. Hes the most real out all of the canidates and hangs his planks for his platform on his sleeves unlike the rest and what do you mean he can’t give speeches? Are you death and maybe you should go and get so lasic surgery while your putting in you hearing aids because if you see this as behind the times then your blind as well. What should he do, a reality tv show? Do you want him to sing to you ike? The guy has the least turmoil and skeletons in the closet then all of the runners. Your just looking for any thing that might look like a fualt. Face it, Mike is great for the job and you know it! :)>
I never thought about this but, Mike Huckabee sort looks like Kevin Spacey…..
Are Ike and Shelby the same person? You seem to post one after the other on most of these posts. Interesting.
If I were Democrat, I’d vote for Obama but I’m Republican so I have to pick between McCain and Huckabee. Can’t vote for McCain because of his stand on immigration, McCain-Feingold, and his failure to support the Bush tax cuts (and he’s just so boring). Huckabee is strong on illegal immigration and he wants to get rid of the IRS. That’s good enough for me. Go Huckabee!
Oh, and he plays bass. That seals the deal for me.
Mike Huckabee is a really neat guy. I am real glad that he has stayed in the race. He adds a positive component, a great sense of humour, while also being serious about serious issues. I am very thankful that he is still running - GO MIKE!!!
Nice to see you here again Shelby. It seems some people now think we are the same person. I guess it is because only one person in the U.S. is not supporting Huckabee and that is us. We are so powerful he can’t win because of us. HA
Now to the people who really haven’t mastered reading skills. Cranky and Go Huck…you need to read, think, and than type. In that order. It might help you in the future.
Cranky, I never mentioned Christians once in my post. I mentioned religious nuts. I never ridiculed Christians. I did mention Huck was a crook and a pastor. I find pastors crooks. Never once did Christ take money for his ministry. I think paid ministry is an abomination to the Lord. Taking money to tell people that they will be saved if they come to church and continue to pay them seems like a racket to me. As far as me “topping it off and supporting someone who was raised by a muslim”. This is where reading is key. If you go to my previous post, I specifically state that I do NOT support Obama, and I actually think he would be worse for the country than Huckabee. As far the god that I am referring too. I don’t know about you, but I believe in only one true God. If you believe in many, that is your prerogative. So I ask the ONE TRUE GOD to help our country. I am sorry you have issue with that. But I might actually tick you off and ask him to help everyone, not just christians. I believe He loves us all, no matter what. I don’t think God hates anyone. Remember He is no respecter or persons. Go read Samuel again if you have any questions. Also, who cares if Obama had a Muslim father. He isn’t Muslim for one. And do you think God hates Muslims? If i wanted to refer to God in a different language that would be ok too. Allah is the Arabic word for God. Arab Christian believe in God, (Allah). God isn’t a strictly christian term.
To Go Huck, When did I ever said he can’t give speeches? He can do whatever he wants. It just isn’t politically savvy. Do you really believe he doesn’t have skeletons. Where does this crap come from. He doesn’t even deny ALL of his ethics violations, only most of them.
Please learn to read and post and intelligent response. Or not, and continue to revel in you ignorance.
To the Shelby and Ike smear team:
Question: Do you consider yourselves good people or a good person if there is only one of you?
Ike and Shelby give it up; we get the point, Mike Huckabee is not perfect.
Perfect people scare me.
You make me want to vote for Huckabee even more.
Ire or Shelby,
They or she or he have or has nothing to stand for except criticizing a genuine individual like Mike Huckabee. I am so sorry for them or she or he.
For the people who feel there are only three choices, as I did, take a look at Mike Huckabee’s web site and read about his stand on these issues below.
Yes, he is way behind, and he has very little chance of winning, (that is a shame).
If anyone wants to make their own informed decision, using their own mind, instead of following the crowd, and not be pressured into thinking you have three choices, it’s worth at least a little time to take a honest look at Mike Huckabee on the issues we are facing.
I have read Mike Huckabee’s stands on these issues posted below, and I am very dismayed at how we got to the point of thinking we only have three choices.

Mike Huckabee is still a threat to the front runners. The negative posts are proof of this. A strong showing in Texas by Mike will embarress McCain. A loss for McCain would humiliate him.
Ike .. To me, and this is my opinion, you seem to be a little angry and closed minded. (No, this isn’t the beginning of a counseling session.) I recognize that my own political views aren’t the same as some of my good friends and co-workers. But I at least consider where they are coming from. I can “get” what they think and still disagree. And it can be respectful. I really see NO respect in your posts. And that’s fine. There is a lot of freedom in being anonymous. I just feel sorry for you and how you are sort of lashing out on these blogs. It’s great to be able to discuss different views. But try not to be so condescending. If you really want people to take you seriously, you need to act a little more “adult” in your conversations.
Mike Huckabee is the man. That was a great skit. Glad to know he can have a good time.
However, the reality is..he is the best man for the presidency in ‘08. He is the only man with executive experience, a nine point plan to secure the border that does NOT involve amnesty, will help push through the fair tax which will stop punishing people for working harder and being successful, not to mention bring back jobs to the US, and a plan to bring energy independence and stop funding terrorists.
Ohio folks, please join us in Texas to make Mike Hukcabee get to the delegation and get the nomination there.
Shelby, what you have learned about Huck is nothing, You read some untrue stories about him and figured they had to be true. False ethics allegations by democrats in election years that were found to be frivolous. Some BS thing about a wedding registry which was also a non issue because they dont have house warming registries at target. A bit of some speach and only the bit that supports your theory about supposed tax increases. I’m curious as to where you live because people from Arkansas loved MIke. They loved what he did for them and they knew he was a great governer. Arkansas was in far better shape when he left then they were when he took officer. You are all over these blogs just ripping Huck all the time. But you actually have no idea what you are talking about. You should have researched a lot better.
[...] it…and as the camera panned, i expected a bad impersonation (though if i had read various rumors online earlier today i would have expected otherwise). But no, it was actually Mike Huckabee. They then [...]
Mike Huckabee’s down home charm, honesty and integrity (coupled with lots of humor) makes him a perfect candidate at any profession.
Huckabee was born with natural talent, similiar to natural talents that Micheal Jordon and Lebron James have. Pure raw talent.
Huckabee can excel at anything he puts his mind to. He is going to an American Hero, a Rockstar and Celebrity. This guy gots lots of natural talent.
It’s a shame the Republican establishment is more concerned about their own greed and power than than giving power to the American citizens. McCain is was too dry and boring, just a hair more exciting than Fred Thompson (and that’s being generous to him).
There’s no way McCain can rack up enough votes in the general election to beat Obama. Only Huckabee can go toe to toe with Obama. If Ohio and Texas don’t elect Huckabee for President than it’s all over for the Republican party.
The Republican party establishment better wake up and smell the coffee. They are about to lose the party because of their own greed.
Ohio and Texas, you are the only hope left for the Republican party. Mike Huckabee’s charm, personality, humor, honest and integrity is the only one that can go toe to toe with Obama in the ring.
Vote for Mike Huckabee, he is the Rockstar the American people really admire.
Huck is the man! It’s good to see someone who doesn’t take himself too seriously and can have some fun. It’s also good to see he takes the issues seriously and is why he is still in this fight. Whether he gets the nomination this year (God willing) or not, he has raised the bar in politics. He truly stands for what he believes in and cares about this country. I will vote Huck based on principle. This is about his message more than it is about him. We have to send this message to the media, the Republican elite and all those who kept him down, but not out. Help me send it on March 4th!! VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE!! Don’t jump on the McLobbyist bandwagon!!
http://www.mikehuckabee.com
I thought it was a great skit. I wish that he had pointed out that if huck got all the remaining delagates that McCain would also be 200 delagates short. It was a funny skit though.
Is Mike Hukabee in good standings with the primary race? I would love for Hukabee to be the next presdident, I only regret that I’m in Kansas where I”m not registered to vote, and not in North Carolina where I am registered to vote. (my husband is in the military). So I didn’t know how to but in a vote in a North Carolina Ballet for Mike Huckabee. if anyone has any suggestions please tell me, because I believe in the right to vote, and that the only way to change our government is to vote. so anyone reading this Please Vote for Mike Huckabee and help him get back in the race.
Betrayal, deceit, corruption and John McCain
By Ted Sampley
U.S. Veteran Dispatch
http://www.usvetdsp.com
November 14, 2007
Last week, Sen. John McCain launched on fellow Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani criticizing the former New York City mayor because Bernie Kerik, police commissioner under Giuliani, was indicted and accused of fraudulent dealings.
“A president’s judgment matters and Rudy Giuliani has repeatedly placed personal loyalty over regard for the facts,” declared McCain, suggesting that Giuliani’s support of Kerik showed a serious lapse in judgment.
Kerik, 52, according to a 16-count federal indictment, received cash and gifts for lobbying regulators on behalf of a New Jersey construction and waste-management firm. Prosecutors allege that Kerik cheated on taxes and lied to investigators–including those recommending him for a cabinet-level post on behalf of President George W. Bush.
McCain has forgotten his own history of involvement with betrayal, deceit and corruption
When McCain returned to the United States in 1973 after more than five years as a prisoner of war, he found his wife was a different person. Carol McCain, once a model, had been badly injured in a car wreck in 1969. The accident “left her 4 inches shorter and on crutches, and she gained a good deal of weight.” Despite her injures, she had refused to allow her POW husband to be notified about her condition, fearing that such news would not be good for him while he was being held prisoner.
But, just a couple years later, McCain, while pondering a future in politics, met Cindy Hensley, an attractive 25-year-old woman from a very wealthy politically-connected Arizona family. While still married to Carol, McCain began an adulterous relationship with Cindy. He married Cindy in May 1980 — just a month after dumping his crippled wife and securing a divorce.
McCain followed his young, millionairess wife back to Arizona. Not long after settling in, the former POW newlywed was introduced to Darrow “Duke” Tully, publisher of the conservative and powerful Arizona Republic and the Phoenix Gazette.
Tully, who quickly became a close friend of McCain, wasted no time in using the power of his newspapers to jump start McCain’s political career. His newspapers endorsed McCain’s first run for Congress and touted him as successor for retiring Sen. Barry Goldwater.
Described as “equal parts cowboy, commando, swashbuckler and elegant tycoon” by the Chicago Tribune, Tully was “a George Patton who drove a Corvette, a Randolph Hearst who flew an F-16, a John Wayne in aviator glasses and Air Force dress blues.”
Tully appeared to have a lot in common with his close friend, former Navy combat pilot and war hero McCain. Tully boasted of his 100 missions over Vietnam, retiring from the Air Force as a lieutenant-colonel. Tully’s military service, according to Tully, included air combat in Korea, where he once was forced to crash land his P-51 Mustang fighter and spent time in a hospital as a result–so he said. His smashed front teeth were replaced with stainless steel, he also said.
Tully, just like his friend McCain, claimed he had received the Purple Heart, Distinguished Flying Cross and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry.
Tully painstaking groomed McCain for public office. He introduced him to the influential and gave him guest column space in The Arizona Republic. He manipulated endless favorable references from the paper’s other columnists. McCain, in turn, honored Tully by asking him to be godfather of one of his children
However, the day after Christmas 1985, it was revealed in the Chicago Tribune, that McCain’s close friend Duke Tully had “an imagination as big as his ego.”
Tully had never even been the military.
At the same time McCain’s political ambitions were being assisted by Tully, he had cultivated political relationships with developer and future Arizona governor Fife Symington III and lawyer, politician and banker Charles Keating Jr.
When Goldwater did not to run for re-election to the Senate in 1986, McCain’s powerful new friends quickly catapulted him into Goldwater’s Arizona senate seat.
In the senate, McCain managed to stay low key until suddenly he found himself on television trying to explain himself as one of the “Keating 5,” five senators who became enmeshed in the scandal involving the collapsed Lincoln Savings and Loan and the financial machinations of Charles Keating.
Keating was convicted of federal fraud and racketeering charges and in 1997, McCain’s friend Symington was forced out of office after being convicted on seven counts of fraud.
For years McCain has successfully cultivated a false facade as the “straight-talking” politician unsullied by big-money influence of special-interest groups. He has shrewdly manipulated most of the national press corps into ignoring (or forgiving) facts that expose him as a disreputable character and enemy of the truth..
Reports from a variety of U.S. publications exposed McCain’s true scandalous character
The Arizona Republic - October 17, 1989″ . . . both in telephone conversations with reporters and on a live radio talk show, the Republican senator was far from calm. He was agitated. Angry. And the way he dealt with unpleasant questions was to bully the questioners . . . ‘You’re a liar,’ McCain snapped Sept. 29 when an Arizona Republic reporter asked him about business ties between his wife, Cindy McCain, and Keating . . . ‘That’s the spouse’s involvement, you idiot,’ McCain sneered later in the same conversation. ‘You do understand English, don’t you?’ “. . . Not content with just bullying reporters, McCain tried belittling them: ‘It’s up to you to find that out, kids.’ . . . McCain wasn’t talking to liars. He wasn’t talking to juveniles. The senator was talking to two reporters.”
The Arizona Republic - October 17, 1989 — “McCain, in a radio talk-show appearance last week condemned disclosures of his family’s ties to Keating as ‘irresponsible journalism.’”
The Phoenix Gazette, November 13, 1989 — “Reporters also ‘discovered’ that the senator’s wife and father-in-law invested $359,100.00 in one of Mr. Keating’s projects in 1986 . . .”
The Arizona Republic, April 29, 1990 — “McCain’s involvement with Keating . . . when reporters called him with questions last year about previously unknown ties to Keating, an investment by wife Cindy McCain in a Keating shopping center and trips to Keating’s Bahamas home, McCain went into a rage.”
New Republic, Dec. 31, 1990–”The only Republican of the bunch [the five Senators], John McCain of Arizona wins credit for finally drawing the line. After the second of the two April meetings [with Federal regulators] he told Mr. [Sen. Dennis] DeConcini [D-Ariz.] and Mr. Keating that he wouldn’t lean on the regulators any more. Mr. Keating called him a wimp. But before the rupture, Mr. McCain and his family were regular guests of Mr. Keating’s on trips to the Bahamas. Mr. McCain reimbursed the owner of Lincoln Savings and Loan for only a small fraction of the cost of these holidays. Yet, he never reported the vacations on Senate disclosure forms, or his income taxes. He said he thought his wife had paid Mr. Keating back. This is hard to believe.”
Economist, Mar. 9, 1991–”Mr. McCain, despite his claims of innocense, was the only one of the five who benefitted personally–family holidays in the Bahamas on Mr. Keating’s tab.”
New Republic, Sept. 9, 1991–Calling McCain part of the “Senatorial Lincoln Brigade,” the New Republic reported that Keating, while bankrupting his savings and loan, had channeled $1.4 million to the campaigns or causes of the five senators, who in turn pressured the savings and loan regulators to back off our friend.”
Regardie’s magazine, April-May 1992 issue. “Ultimately, the fall of Lincoln Savings and Loan will cost the U.S. taxpayers $2 billion. It lost $1 million dollars a day from the time Keating bought it in 1984 until its collapse in 1989, and yet he continued to pay off McCain as ‘one of his assets.’”
Cindy McCain escaped prosecution for stealing/using drugs
The Arizona Republic, August 24, 1994 — “Cindy McCain, the wife of U.S. Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona, admitted in a series of media interviews Monday that she became addicted to the painkillers Percocet and Vicodin. She said that she used the drugs from 1989 to 1992 and acknowledged that she had stolen some pills from the American Voluntary Medical Team, a charitable organization of which she is president . . . at one point, McCain, 40, was ingesting 15 to 20 pills a day . . . the normal dosage for seriously ill patients is 6 to 10 a day for a short period.”
The Phoenix Gazette, August 25, 1994 — “Cindy McCain was investigated recently by the Drug Enforcement Administration for stealing and using Percocet and Vicodin, both narcotic painkillers from her aid organization . . . the county attorney’s report provides a window to drug dealings within Cindy McCain’s nonprofit corporation . . . Gosinski also alleged that Cindy McCain abused her husband’s office and diplomatic privileges by transporting illegal substances overseas. He also claimed, according to her lawyers, that Cindy McCain tried to prevent him from providing accurate information to the DEA.”
Playboy, July 1999. — “Ms. McCain admitted stealing Percocet and Vicodin from the American Voluntary Medical Team, an organization that aids Third World countries. Percocet and Vicodin are schedule 2 drugs, in the same legal category as opium. Each pill theft carries a penalty of one year in prison and a monetary fine.” However, McCain did not face prosecution. She was allowed to enter a pretrial diversion program and escaped with no blemish to her record. Source: James Bovard, Prison Sentences of the Politically Connected.
McCain’s Crime family connection
The Arizona Republic Jan. 17, 1995 “About 300 guests turned out Saturday night to celebrate the 90th birthday of Joseph ‘Joe Bananas’ Bonanno, retired boss of New York’s Bonanno crime family. He retired to Tucson in 1968 . . . John McCain, R-Ariz., and Gov. Fife Symington sent their regards by telegram.”

It ain’t over till its over! Huckabee for President! There is no candidate running, Democrat or Republican who has as much executive experience as Mike Huckabee does. America needs an experienced leader for times like these. McCain, Obama, Hill have only legislated, that is not the proper experience to be President… Come on Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island and Vermont, make it happen, vote for Mike!!!!!
If the republican party makes McCain the official nominee, watch for the NY times to drop the other shoe.
To NO MCCAIN AND CINDY,
Recall that McCain was NOT the choice of he Repub party for the nomination. We just got stuck with him because of all the evangelical bigots who said they would never vote for a Mormon and also because of Huck’s lies regarding Romney’s religion. Romney fliped on a thing or two, but so has the Huckster-bee, especially regarding illegal aliens. He had one of the worst records in AK, as bad as the Dems, but now that he is in a presidental election, he SUDDENLY SEES A NEED TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.
Huck is not going to win anything. Too bad, so sad. Don’t come crying now about McCain! You did your dirty deeds and now everyone has to pay.
Romney was the most honorable and decent of all the candidates. He has no corruption in his past as does Huck, possibly McCain, Hillary and Obama. He is a man of strong family values and is extremely intelligent-he even knows where Pakistan is on the map-unlike the confused Huckster-Bee. Romney ministered in his church without pay–unlike the evangelicals that get their paychecks and freak out when they start losing members of the congreation. Less money in the collction plate=smaller paychecks! Huckabee is a fraud and user of people to obtain fame and attention. You guys screwed up big time in your bigottedness over Romney, the only hope for America! Stop your whinning, you screwed the American people and we won’t soon forget it!
Romney by far was the best candidate to run and I look forward to casting a vote for him again in 2012.
Huckabee used to really impress me until I was what he was about and how his supporters( NOT ALL ) were so bigoted. It has NO place in politics, I was even hoping for a Romney/Huckabee ticket in November.
McCain, while not perfect, towers above Huckabee in regards to character and honor.
McCain has my vote in TEXAS!
I could never vote for Romney, Not because he is a bad guy. I would never vote for him because his strong gase of Mormon followers are the most bigoted group of people that ever walked the face of the earth.
Callie,
I am not trying to be respectful. I am glad you caught on. I tried to point out the enormous flaws that are Mike Huckabee. People don’t seem to listen. I would have a debate with people on these blogs and they find facts a bit annoying. So I have up on them and I just have fun with the absolutely ridiculous morons that post their factless support of a inferior candidate.
His followers keep says he isnt’ perfect. They forget that he isn’t a conservative. He is a Pro-life liberal. We might as well be supporting Howard Dean. Huckabee is for big government and higher taxes. I look at what he has done and I find it pathetic. No one one these blogs can defend him. I have, therefore, come one to see how stupid people can get in their support. I have yet to find the highest level of stupidity on here. So my search continues.
Ike we’re listening to you and frankly I’m getting sick of it.
You only make me want to vote for Huckabee more.
Hello! my name is Ike & Shelby (I’m really one person) and I like to smear Mike Huckabee for a living.
And yet no one has yet defended Huckabee’s moronic positions.
That is the best part of it. No one here has done the actual research to defend their candidate. HAHA
Actually, I’m just trying to really piss people off because I have nothing better to do with my life.
Mike Huckabee is totally hillarous on Saturday Night Live in NY city last night.
This guy gots more down home witty charm than any celebrity out there multiplied by 1,036. Huckabee is the only one who can take on Obama in a general election. The Republican party is doomed forever unless they get Mike Huckabee in the ring with Obama.
Watch the video for yourself:
http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/#mea=221772
Mike Huckabee has class!
Tex:
Are you kidding me about Mormons being the most bigoted people on earth. Could you please share with everyone why you feel that. Because most of Utah voted for him in the primary. Maybe because they are the ones who felt the affects of how great the Winter olympics helped their economy and how Romney was a major part of why that was able to happen. Why don’t you share with us all the anti-Huckabee or McCain websites that Mormons have created unlike the anti-Romney ones Huckabee supporters have created. You will have a hard time finding any. The leaders of the Mormon church’s policy is to not sponsor or endorse any candidate, but to vote for those who best represent your values. It is bigots like you who are one of many who have created anti-Romney websites and base it solely on his faith with misrepresentations. I can tell you that a majority of Mormons would never vote for Harry Reid, eventhough he is Mormon. People like you disgust me. I do not believe Romney tried to misquote Huckbee’s baptist faith to gain political ground with Evangelicals, and when he started receiving alot of heat from the media he recanted on his accusation. I do not believe Romney’s faith has ever said that Baptist and other denominations are not Christian. The way the Baptist have said Mormonism is not a true Christian religion, eventhough the official name of the Mormon church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I do not believe Romney ever had to ask local pastors to encourage their congregations on who to vote for. So give me a break. If people want to vote for Mike Huckabee because he is evangelical and they are to, then more power to them. If people want to vote for Romney because he is Mormon, than more power to them. I personally, do not feel anyone should vote for someone based upon their faith, race, or gender as I have said many times. However, it is human nature. It is wrong when people mistate facts or take out of context, and even make up lies about someone. So again please explain to everyone on this blog why Mormons are the most biggoted people who have walked the face of the earth.
For those of you who are convinced that Mike Huckabee is the man America needs to lead, you have already been to his website. Please get involved with calling in Texas and Ohio. Go to petiononine.com and sign your name for a debate between Gov. Huckabee and Senator McCain. I’m not a math person either, but I do know when I spot media manipulation as well as apathy shaping public opinion and consequently electoral process.
For those of you exercising your right to free speech - with that right comes the responsibiity to act with civiity. It does your cause no good to slam the candidates and call them names.
Tex:
Please copy and paste all the mormon biggotry comments posted on these blogs. If there are any, it is real bigots like you doing this and claiming it to be Mormons. You can tell the difference from real Mormons defending all the anti-Mormon bigotry that people like you are spewing. I have never seen such false accusations made and statments taken out of context towards a candidates faith in all my life. The amazing thing is that these people call themselves Christians. Christ never did that. He did not have to have oranizations that would distort ones faith. However, when people like you, who are modern day pharasees, would manipulate or lie about his teaching, he would correct them with what he truly said. This is what Mormons are doing when people are lying about their faith. So do not try to pose as someone who really is having a hard time with mormon rhetoric that you have created. You are a disgrace to what has made this country so great.
What does having witty charm have to do with running the country and fighting terrorism? I can’t believe all the people that want Mike Huckabee to be President because he tells lots of jokes plays the guitar. You are all so clueless!! Mitt Romney had the education the intelligence and the experience to help our country and people would not vote for him because of what religion he believed in and because he was “too perfect.” If that is not totally insane I don’t know what is. Also, Mitt has so much integrity and class that you would not find him anywhere near SNL because it is a crude and immoral show. I think it shows Huckabee’s true character when he panders to shows like that. PLEASE people do your research and vote on a persons qualifications and not on their sense of humor!
