That's typical Huckabee-always the gentleman. The Republican Establishment will regret their coronation of John McCain because Obama has a trait similar to that of Mike Huckabee. It's charisma- something McCain and Hillary both lack. Mike Huckabee (according to Bill Hemmer of Fox). never uses notes in his debates. He is a great communicator. McCain comes across as either surly or agressive. In a national debate, Obama will slay McCain.

Now that's character. Its too bad that campaigns like this aren't the norm, where people aren't fed the lies, and personal attacks, that seem to be from all angles....We have the NYT attacking McCain, then we have the fox news Biggies, smearing Huckabee, because they wanted Romney as their candidate, for selfish reasons......so who's worse????They belong in the same boat, hanging onto opposite oars
There is always retrospect, and the name Huckabee will stand out above them all, even in defeat if that so happens....but you'll never hear one word suggesting that they were wrong from the likes of O'Reilly or Hannity,or Coulter for that matter....Isn't Ann now supporting Hillary??? Good chance she picked another loser

Jeff,

Too true.

Mediocrity today passes for "genius", bespeaking volumes upon our "standards".

Maliciousness passes for "debate", decrying loudly the reality of our national "unity".

Meanwhile, too many voters cannot even pass a simplistic American History test, much less write an essay on political science.

"Winning" is far different that victory, nevertheless. Sadly, they know not what they do.

And this nation, consequently, will be wholly unprepared when the final exam is set before us. We will have no answer when our children come back and ask of us, "What is the meaning of righteousness? And what do you mean by "law"?"

Prepare yourselves those who will. Vote Constitution Party.

McCain and Huckabee are treating each other with respect, I wish supporters on both sides could follow their example.

No matter your political bent, wouldn’t it be refreshing to see campaigns waged in the arena of relevant ideas, with comensurate media coverage?

As a population, we’re degenerating to a checkout lane tabloid/gossip/celebrity culture, nearly void of cerebral discourse.

We can do better.
