Clinton Talking Points Echo Hillary’s Obama Attacks
Today’s daily Clinton talking points don’t mention losses in Wisconsin or Hawaii — instead focusing on Sen Clinton’s attacks on Barack Obama as “a candidate who thinks rhetoric and speeches are more important than solutions and action.”
“The Obama campaign is trying to end the race in the middle of the process – when the delegate race is still tight and before people in 16 states and territories cast their votes.”

Daily Talking Points – Wednesday, February 20, 2008 - A CLEAR CHOICE FOR VOTERS
*This morning Sen. Clinton laid out what is at stake in this primary – a clear choice for voters between:
*a candidate who is ready to lead on Day One and a candidate who needs on the job training,
*a candidate who is ready to be commander in chief and one who is not,
*a candidate who believes in health care for every single man, woman, and child in America and one who does not,
*a candidate who has stood up to and beaten right-wing Republicans for 15 years and is ready to take them on in the general election one who has not and is not,
*a candidate who has a 35-year record of making change and a candidate whose own supporters can’t name a single legislative accomplishment
*and a candidate who thinks rhetoric and speeches are more important than solutions and action
*With hardworking people losing their jobs, families losing their homes and a middle class losing its dream, we need sound solutions, not sound bites.
*The contrast between Sen. Clinton and our likely opponent couldn’t be more stark. Sen. John McCain is willing to continue the war in Iraq for 100 years – Sen. Clinton will start bringing troops home in 60 days.
*McCain admits he doesn’t understand the economy – Sen. Clinton has a plan to turn our economy around and create five million new jobs. He wants eight years more of the same – Sen. Clinton will deliver 21st century solutions to move this country forward again.
*Both Sen. Obama and Sen. Clinton would make history. But only one candidate is ready on Day One to be commander in chief, ready to manage our economy, and ready to defeat the Republicans. Only one of us has spent 35 years being a doer, a fighter and a champion for those who need a voice. That is the choice in this election.
*This primary is about picking a president who relies not just on words – but on work, hard work, to get America back to work. Someone who’s not just in the speeches business – but will get America back in the solutions business…
*The Obama campaign is trying to end the race in the middle of the process – when the delegate race is still tight and before people in 16 states and territories cast their votes.
*In Ohio and Texas, Hillary has broad, strong and diverse support. In Rhode Island and Vermont, Hillary has an active staff and significant support.
*We believe all Americans matter and should make their voices heard.

“It is time to get real,” Mrs. Clinton, of New York, said. “To get real about how we actually win this election and get real about the challenges facing America. It’s time we moved from good words to good works, from sound bites to sound solutions.”
I hope I cited this correctly so HRC doesn’t come after me for plagerism…
I find this statement from her speech a little offensive. Is she really so arrogant to think that anybody that doesn’t vote for her is not sincere about what we want for this country… this attitude is why she is behind in the poles now. She doesn’t need to go up against anyabody to lose this election, she merely needs to open her mouth…
I am an American. I happen to have viewpoints that would label me as Republican. I am tired of the party affiliations in the political “war” we fight constantly in America. We all want a good economy, good jobs, investment growth opportunities (401k), health care, and the list goes on. Any one who puts in an effort to improve themselves, their community, and nation should will not expect less. What we get is a candidate who “beat Republicans” (Americans) and I am not sure what she has done to claim that other than being Senator from New York. Did the Congress do anything really significant lately? The Republicans have beaten the Democrats and vice-versa. We MUST get off of this merry-go-round and CLINTON is NOT the one to fix that - never happen.
McCain and Obama just might. THAT is the most important challange ahead - to work together.
There’s nothing new in these talking points. They are just a rehash of what Mrs. Clinton has been mouthing all along, and are clearly ineffective. I’m sure voters are getting tired of hearing them and get turned off as a result. Her ever increasing negative attacks are probably backfiring.
She contends that we need to get real about Senator Obama. She’s the one who needs to have a reality check and wake up to the fact that her campaign is in deep trouble. What about trying a more civil, honest and positive approach?
Seems like Obama is headed to win the Democratic Primary. HRC is a long shot at this point. With McCain and Obama in the ring, it will be an interesting contest - with some conservatives liking Obama more than McCain and some Democrats who may not vote for Obama for his inexperience (that’s the reason HRC is still getting some votes!!)

How can she call herself the electable candidate? “Electable” means you have to win primary elections, and she has failed to do that for nearly an entire month. Apparently the Clintons only consider electability in elections among the elite class of cigar-smoking superdelegeates. Hillary, spare us.
This is a typical example of a campaign in trouble - this includes alot of mis-iformation and half truths. It is a pity that such a good and well respected politician like Hillary has shown failure to learn from her mistakes - and that is negative information and attacked always bounce back and hit you hard. This what has been happening, when ever she goes negative she looses. The american people are sick and tired of the 80’s and Hillary seems to specialise ad excel in that form of out dated politics where you have to tell half truths to demonise your opponent, that is not fair play and we will reject it at the ballot box wait and see. Stan.

It is a pity that such a good and well respected politician like Hillary has shown failure to learn from her mistakes - and that is negative information and attacked always back-fire. But her campaign is so naive to work that out. This what has been happening, when ever she goes negative she looses. The american people are sick and tired of the politics of the 80’s and Hillary seems to specialise and excel in that form of out dated politics where you have to tell half truths to demonise your opponent. That is the reason 3 yrs of the previous Clinton era were wasted in useless impeachment where nobody gained and the whole country lost. It was because of this sort of negative seeds which the Clintons are sowing every day. Stan.
Wow, according to what is being reported tonight in the New York Times, a Clinton versus McCain contest would be one with a lot of punches beneath the belt!!!
Or notches on the belt …
What was it that the Yippies used to say, something about free speech being the right to shout fire in a crowded theatre?
Why don’t we move on, to the future, and President Barack Obama?
If Hillary can’t put together a decent campaign organization, why would anyone think she could put together an effective government?
Experience is as experience does, and Hillary’s doesn”t.
Houston…….
Hillary has a problem……….
OBAMA ‘ROBBED’ IN NY
By GINGER ADAMS OTIS
February 16, 2008 — Barack Obama’s primary-night results were strikingly underrecorded in several districts around the city - in some cases leaving him with zero votes when, in fact, he had pulled in hundreds, the Board of Elections said yesterday.
Unofficial primary results gave Obama no votes in nearly 80 districts, including Harlem’s 94th and other historically black areas - but many of those initial tallies proved to be wildly off the mark, the board said.
In some districts getting a recount, the senator from Illinois is even closer to defeating Hillary Clinton.
Initial results in the 94th, for example, showed a 141-0 sweep for Hillary Clinton, but the recount changed the tally to 261-136.
As yet, none of the results have been certified, but a ballot-by-ballot canvassing of all voting machines has begun, a board spokesperson said. Many of the mistakes were chalked up to human error — and some Clinton tallies were wrong as well. In several congressional districts she was shown as having received zero votes when in fact she got hundreds, Boe said.
Brooklyn City Councilman Charles Barron called the understated figures “outrageous.”
“I think this is an all-out effort to stop a campaign that is about to make history and render America’s first black president,” he said. “We need some kind of independent or federal agency to investigate this.”icate that she may not even come out the winner - Obama currently has 116 votes to her 118.
You can post verything bad about Hillary you want. It is NOT going to change my mind. She has my support. I will stick with her. I don’t care if Obama wins the nom. I will not vote for him. I do not believe Obama can get the things done that we need. I don’t like Obama or respect Obama.
Obama will go down in history as the worst President ever! He is going to cause more problems than solve them. He will only be a 4 year term President.
Did we expect any lesser attempts to slander Obama from the slimy Clinton machine? Bill is really saying that Hillary has slim chances. The more remote her chance of securing the Democratic nomination, the more heated the insults and slander will be toward Obama. Classic Slick Willy.
Obama wins Democrats Abroad primary

WASHINGTON - Barack Obama won the Democrats Abroad global primary in results announced Thursday, giving him 11 straight victories in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

The Illinois senator won the primary in which Democrats living in other countries voted by Internet, mail and in person.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has not won a nominating contest since Super Tuesday, more than two weeks ago.
More than 20,000 U.S. citizens living abroad voted in the primary, which ran from Feb. 5 to Feb. 12. Obama won about 65 percent of the vote, according to results released by the Democrats Abroad, an organization sanctioned by the national party.
Voters living in 164 countries cast votes online, while expatriates voted in person in more than 30 countries, at hotels in Australia and Costa Rica, at a pub in Ireland and at a Starbucks in Thailand. The results took about a week to tabulate as local committees around the globe gathered ballots.
“This really gives Americans an opportunity to participate,” said Christine Schon Marques, the international chair of Democrats Abroad.
There is no comparable primary among Republicans, though the GOP has several contests this weekend in U.S. territories, including party caucuses in Puerto Rico Sunday.
Obama’s win comes just two days after he defeated Clinton in a primary in Wisconsin and caucuses in Hawaii. He leads Clinton 1,351 delegates to 1,262 delegates, not including the 7 delegates yet to be awarded based on the global primary voting results.
