Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Mike Huckabee continues to gain support. Please vote for what you believe if you have an upcoming primary. If you believe in the things below, there is a choice:
- Real border security and a detailed 9 point plan to secure our borders that does not involve amnesty. Border fence complete by July ‘10.
- Massive tax reforms are necessary and are an advocate of the FairTax.
- We are financing the terrorists with our oil habits and want to see the US energy independent in the next 8 years.
- 100% prolife
- President Bush’s tax cuts should be made permanent.
- 2nd amendment is one of the best ways to protect us from tyranny and want someone who will work tirelessly to protect it from activist judges.
- The best judge is a conservative judge that won’t legislate from the bench.
Please go away Huck! You are no longer a contender.
Thank you.
We still believe.
This video brought tears of joy and hope to my wife’s eyes. McCain cannot provide us with that same HOPE.
Immagine…if the delegates who were awarded to those who have dropped out of the race were permitted to be re-allocated or alloted to the second-place winners, we’d have a very competitive race!
MANY voices who are not being heard or “reported” by news networks, would then be appropriately recognized.
We STILL believe.
Give it up! Is huck staying in for the book deals? Or some ideas for writing a book?
Yes huckabee there is a choice in 08 and you are not on the ballet! Its either mcCain or obama(possible hillary).
It’s not over until it’s over! McCain doesn’t have the delegates, and we are still having elections to see who the nominee will be. My vote is for Huckabee - On May 4th I will cast it in TX.
Nathan asks…
Is huck staying in for the book deals? Or some ideas for writing a book?<<<
Probably not. He can get that as it is. The Huckabee supporters will lambaste me for saying this but in all likelihood his reasons are probably financial. A little known thing about gaining public office or running for it is that when you withdraw from the race or you leave office you are legally allowed to keep the money in your campaign fund. That’s why you see these guys with no chance at all of winning (Dennis Kucinich, Ron Paul, Bill Richardson, etc) running for the presidency. They stand to make millions of dollars by doing so whether they have a legitimate shot or not. That’s also why the campaign contributions to the superdelegates by Obama and Hillary are such a big deal. When those superdelegates leave office they can put that money straight in their personal bank accounts and it’s perfectly legal.
Now yes the Huckabee supporters are going to freak out about me saying that but trust me when I say the minute it no longer becomes profitable he’ll withdraw.
The DNC and a lot of others are afraid of someone like Mike Huckabee… He cuts right through the fakeness and political correctness that plagues American politics and exposes it. Yes, Mike Huckabee is not perfect, but I believe he’s better than the alternatives.
I think he’s actually in this thing for the reasons that he says. I also think that’s hard for a lot of people to understand. He’d have a lot of explaining to do to his supporters if he suddenly dropped out now.
Mike is staying in the race and giving Ohio a choice! Mike has made it clear on his website what he stands for and how he plans to make America better for all.
As other campaigns have spent 10’s of millions of dollars, Mike has managed his campaign on under 10 million and no debt. YES, I BELIEVE.
Named one of the top five governors in the U.S. with good reason. All U.S. governors selected him to be their chairman. A look at his goals for America will give you good reason to consider his man.
Yes, I BELIEVE in a Man who keeps his word and is looking at taking America vertical, not left or right. GREAT VIDEO - THANKS
I too am all for a discussion of ideas, but in all frankness that time has come and gone. McCain doesn’t even mention Huckabee in his speeches anymore. Huckabee has really become a distraction. Worse yet, the RNC and the McCain camps can’t begin to work together as long as Huckabee is in the race. Let’s be honest for just a moment. If enough people bought into Huck’s ideas, he’d be winning. He’d be the nominee. The plain truth is that they haven’t. Sure, some have, but not enough for him to win. What does that mean? It means that a majority of people have decided to take a different path. A majority within our party aren’t enamored by the flat tax…etc. Why can’t y’all accept that?
Listen, I’m no big McCain supporter either. I actively campaigned against him for another candidate in his own state of AZ. At this point, however, there’s nothing that can keep McCain from getting the nomination short of his death. Those are the cold hard facts. Even with Romney out of the race, Huckabee has only won two contests out of the last seven.
Like you, I wish my candidate had done better. Like you, McCain was not my first choice…or even my second choice. BUT at this point there really is only one choice–whether any of us like it or agree with how it happened. The one choice we have now is whether we help or hurt McCain’s chances of winning the general election. We can either help a Republican, even if he’s not as Conservative as we (me and you) want and one wiht whom we disagree 20% of the time, or we can help an avowed Socialist with whom we disagree 90% of the time. That choice is pretty clear for me. We can elect somone who puts Conservative judges on the bench or someone who is sure to put extremely activist judges on the bench. Someone who will not retreat in the war on terror or someone who has openly said they will surrender. Someone who will work for lower taxes or someone who has already said they will raise taxes. Someone who is pro-life (ok, most of the time. I hear you on stem cell research) or someone who is pro-choice in all cases. Those are your choices. We don’t have a choice over the flat tax. We don’t have a choice over……I actually can’t think of anything else Huckabee wants that differentiates him.
For me the choice is clear. I don’t like McCain–never have–but I like him a hundred times more than the alternative. As sad as it is to have to make that choice, it’s still a clear choice.
The DNC and a lot of others are afraid of someone like Mike Huckabee… He cuts right through the fakeness and political correctness that plagues American politics and exposes it. Yes, Mike Huckabee is not perfect, but I believe he’s better than the alternatives. His Christian faith is a huge asset; like it or not. Christianity is the foundation that this country was built on. This country has been focused on promoting Christian characteristics like promoting Truth, promoting Justice, promoting Respect For our Fellow Human Beings. Also, Christianity promotes Grace which this country has had to fall on in times of hard self-evaluation and change. Also, Grace that says one cannot force Christianity on anyone. I believe Huckabee is not trying to force anything just trying to uphold a strong asset this country has. The twisting and ingnoring of Christianity only makes things worse.
These are the characteristics that keep this country strong and have influenced free countries around the world.
The reason why some people are voting for McCain I believe is that they are herd following. Sorry.
But, I talked to two of my brothers and my Dad who voted for McCain and they all regret they didn’t vote for Huckabee instead. I was going to vote for McCain, but after watching the debates Mike for me came out the best.
Go Mike!!!
Go Huckabee!!!!!
Please go away Huck! please don’t beat McCain!
BAAAAA! Go Huckabee!!!

Say NO to the Huckster!!!
Interesting to note, “everybody” but the voters have told Mike Huckabee to drop out, and he’s still in. All the so-called frontrunners are getting free press, and may I say, don’t have much to say, but the one who has the most experience at leadership, “Governer of a state for ten years is demonized by the media and is still in. Why? Great men don’t give up, they stand by their beliefs, and convictions, they may lose the first round, but brush themselves off and stand!! That shows who’s got leadership, and that’s why Mike Huckabee is the “man” for the job as President of the United States!!!!! Go Mike!
Go Huckabee! The only reason he is not ahead is because of the biased reporting from the major networks that said “he’s out” from day one. The GOP does not back McCain but they have been out which means “We the People” have been bought out with the idea that it is impossible…..NOT!
If you are a true conservative then Mike is the person for the White House.
If you want Clinton or Obama in office then vote for McCain!
Wake up people, we have let the so called “powers to be” tell US who we need to vote for and it sickens me!
Why do the democrats get two debates and the republicans get ZERO? You would think that McCain would want it for the exposure against the other party if for no other reason. For all of you who call Mike Huckabee the “preacher man” only let’s us all know that you have not done any homework on all of his accomplishments as Governor! It is our privilage and our duty to vote and our RIGHT as an American to vote for the candidate that we each feel has our most important issues at heart but it is totally unfair that the “Media” has the control to show or not show or call a primary while thousands of votes are still not counted. This is a slap in ALL of our faces!
Debbie writes: “Why do the democrats get two debates and the republicans get ZERO?”
Perhaps it’s because McCain and the Huckster don’t have Romney in there to be their whipping boy during the debate. All the fun and excitment is gone…
To Zule: Still picking on Romney. Huckabee does dislike him, especially because Mitt Romney spent “his own money”. Romney can take on both McCain and Huckabee in a debate anytime and win. I bet Huckabee would have liked Romney’s endorsement. Huckabee still can’t get past Mitt Romney’s religion. How shallow and anti-christian of him. May God forgive him.
Houston. I couldn’t agree with you more.
The Huckster was still picking on Romney even after he’d been out of the race for some time. Huckster was recently asked to comment on Romney’s endorsement of McCain. His reply was (paraphrasing) “well, at least if it were me endorsing McCain, I wouldn’t have to take acting lessons…). What a shallow moron this guy is. The Huckster still can’t resist taking a dig at Romney even though he isn’t in the race anymore. I wonder why? I think you gave the answer! By their “rotten” fruit, ye shall know them.
Vote NO to the religious bigotry of Mike Huckabee!!!
Huckabee is so jealous of Mitt Romney he starts frothing at the mouth when he thinks of him. Why oh why would God choose to bless Mormon Mitt Romney with that beautiful wife, with 5 super smart and rock star cute sons (with equally photogenic wives and kids). Why can God give Mitt Romney more money than Fort Knox. Why did more evangelicals vote for him than Huck in many states and split the vote with him in the rest!!! Why? Why? Why? Does Romney understand the economy better, is so much better looking, is so much smarter, got to go to Harvard where he was #1 in his class in both Business/Law. Why not me? Huck opines. How did he get more delegate votes? He is rich. There must be something wrong with that–gotta check my Bible so I can attack him because he’s rich. Oh wait, that just means he’s incorruptible because he can’t use more money in ten lifetimes and poor little Huck the minister of the Boss Hogg/Elmer Gantry political/ministerial cross has been hauled up on 14 ethics charges–wow he is poor and corruptible. Why, why, why God?
Answer to questions above!!! Well in Iowa, I can equalize the money issue and bring a great man down by getting my ministerial minions to spread lies about Mitt Romney’s religion in a push poll and in other direct and whispered ways.
I can prove God loves me more by spreading hatred and bigotry!!! Yeah, that’s the ticket
Maybe when the Huckster gets more delegates than Romney, he’ll drop out. Mission accomplished…
LOL… you think that is what it is Zule? With his inflated ego it may be. Kind of empty though now that Romney is no longer running… has anyone told Huckabee?
There is something wrong with Huckabee… I kind of feel sorry for him. BUT, he is hurting our party and potentially our country if he doesn’t step down and stop feeding his “I like to watch myself.” attitude. His loving and putting himself first, and trying to stay in the spotlight is at a great cost to our country.
Don’t throw your votes away and let the Democrats win. We must stand behind the frontrunner even if he was not our first choice. At least Romney was intelligent enough to understand this… and honorable enough to do the right thing at the time.
McCain / Romney ‘08
To Zule, Houston, Marie, and John,
GET OVER IT!
Why the comments about Romney? He dropped out weeks ago!
Thank God (the real one, not the Mormon one)!
John,
I know when the Huckster will get out. He’ll stay in…until…the next comet comes around. At that time, he and his followers will follow the path of the Heaven’s Gate clan…LOL
I’m glad you’re still fighting, Gov. Huckabee.
You are, in spite of what some losers on this website suggest, a genuine man of God.
Thus, it is my pleasure and privilege to support your campaign for the Presidency.
Fight on! Fight on! Fight on!
To Zule,who writes:
“I know when the Huckster will get out. He’ll stay in…until…the next comet comes around. At that time, he and his followers will follow the path of the Heaven’s Gate clan…LOL”
I think you’ve confused the candidates…Huckabee’s not the one who belongs to a cult…
WAY TO GO HUCK THANKS FOR GIVING ME A CHANCE TO VOTE =I LIVE IN TEXAS==TO BAD FOX NEWS LIED ABOUT YOU=YOU WERE THE FRONTRUNNER TILL HANNITY AND O REILLY DISTORTED YOUR RECOD=I WATCHED THEM FOR YEARS, NO MORE
Marvin,
Not at all! Doesn’t a cult refer to a system for the cure of disease based on dogma set forth by its promulgator? How about the great devotion to a person, idea, object, movement, or work?
Sounds like the Huckster and his followers to me.
If the shoe fits, wear it…
Three facts: First, look at the CNN map of delegate voting. In only 5 states did McCain have a 50% or higher majority. He may have won with 30-40% voting, but that also says “60-70% of Republicans want SOMEONE ELSE!
Second, only one candidate has governed–the rest have only worked “in” government. They’re career politicians, leaders of groups or committees, they haven’t governed a state for 10 years.
Third, yeah, it’s corny, it can be a stunt. But when Huckabee lived in a double wide home while the governor’s mansion underwent repairs, he demonstrated he could accept self sacrifice to cut wasteful government spending. Can you picture Hil or Barry living a sacrificial lifestyle for an extended time, to make a point and identify with the people they serve? Can any of them say with PROOF, have cut government waste–even in a petty issue like the cost of a rental home?
PS–oops, these statements forget to evoke religious sentiment, they only showed bi-partisan, non-biased facts…
We have a better Choice!
Mike Huckabee has been the most consistant candidate in the 2008 race. He continues stand on the human life amendment, strong border control, and massive tax reform with the Fair Tax. He supports keeping America strong with a strong military. He is the only candidate that is thinking of the welfare of our veterans. He has proposed a Veterans Bill of rights to rightly honor and help those who have served our country. When there is no one else to trust, We can always trust Mike Huckabee. He has a proven track and the only candidate with executive experience! He is honorable, knowledgeable, gracious, and fun. This race is not over. There are many states that have not yet voted. I am tired of hearing about mathematical impossiblity. Don’t let someone else, including the media or the RNC tell you how to vote. Vote MIKE HUCKABEE NOW!! TX, OH, VT, RH, millions of voters that have voted and millions of voters who want to vote are counting on you to send a message. We want a candidate of the people, for the people, and by the people! VOTE HUCKABEE !!
to Scott919: You said: that when a candidate drops out or withdraws from the race they get to keep the money in their campaign fund and that is most likely why Mike Huckabee is still in the race.
THAT IS ABSOULUTELY FALSE! THEY CAN NOT USE THE CAMPAIGN FUND FOR PERSONAL USE! THEY CAN DONATE SOME TO OTHER CANDIDATES, TO CHARITY OR THE POLITICAL PARTY BUT NOT FOR THEIR PERSONAL USE.
This is just another typical LIE aimed at sullying the character of Mike Huckabee! Learn the facts, people! Don’t take the tripe posted here as the truth! Positively disgusting!
I challenge anyone to name ONE THING that Mike Huckabee stands for that is not true conservatism and perfectly in line with the Republican party! Yet, I can name dozens of reasons why John McCain is more like the loyal ‘liberal’- (oops! he meant conservative) that he said he is!
Are we Republicans so AFRAID OF BARRACKILLARY that we don’t use good judgement, or take the time to find out facts; and NOT buy into the propaganda of the liberal media? Come on, Conservatives, have some guts and some faith!
Anyone wonder why one of the most liberal money backers for McCain is Billionaire George Soros, who is also supporting Barrack Obama? Perhaps because that gives the American voters the same option: Liberal, Liberal or closet Liberal!
Don’t be duped by McCain! Vote for AMERICA-Vote for Mike Huckabee!
Sure Huckabee isn’t rich! But he is also not in debt in this campaign, either to banks or to big money backers who will want their pound of flesh if their candidate wins! Has anyone noticed that you can’t go on TV or online to practically any site without finding an Obama ad?
What IS the American dream? Isn’t it that anyone can grow up to be President? Or is it that we only cater to the ones who are rich or have the ultra rich supporting them to ultimately run this country according to their own agendas? Just because Huckabee doesn’t have millions or billions to pour down the drain on advertising and eliciting the preference of the media, doesn’t mean that he doesn’t deserve our vote and at least our consideration! How elitist has America become? Face it-most of us are nowhere near rich or elite, so why vote for a candidate that can’t relate to us and our needs. McCain married his money.
Huckabee’s contributions are from love- love of country and life, love for right values, morals and principles and love for the man who espouses them!
Mike Huckabee is by far the best man for President! Check him out: http://www.mikehuckabee.com
Thanks, Fox, for taking my suggestion and posting this clip! You have been the fairest.
Thank you, IheartHuck, for this great quote from one who also won a brokered convention:
Abraham Lincoln-”The probability that we may fall in the struggle ought not to deter us from the support of a cause we believe to be just; it shall not deter me.”
Those who oppose Mike Huckabee have a common factor. They don’t talk about specific issue - whether they agree or not - but personal attack based on their own assumption. If they talk about some specific issue, they do without substantial basis but simply mention negative hearsays. They have to remember that people in Arksansas - who must have known him better than outsiders - voted for him in 61% support. Mike Huckabee is the best man available in terms of experience and position on issues. Nobody in this presidential election has governing experience as Mike Huckabee does. Nobody has been clear and consistent as Mike Huckabee regarding the sanctity of life without equivocation or wavering. No candidate has a stronger, more consistent record on Second Amendment rights than he does. He is consistently and clearly against gay-marriage.
Mike Huckabee was a governor for more than 10years and prior to that he served many years as elected lieutenant governor. Governing Magazine named him as one of its ‘Public Officials of the Year’ for 2005, Time Magazine honored him as one of the five best governors in America, and later in the same year.
He is past chairman of the National Governors’ Association and chairman of the Education Commission of the States. He served president of the Council of State Governments. He definitely knows how this country has to run.
