The Across America Tour, Day Six: St. Louis, MO

By Lee Ross

We made our way over the mighty Mississippi and there, visible for miles around, is the Gateway Arch.

We met a wonderful family from Kansas City, but as we were ready to do their interview, the control room in New York told us about some breaking news and we would no longer do the report.

A couple of hours later we do a f+b interview in the shadow of the arch and the old St. Louis courthouse. It was here that Dred Scott had his trial, which led to the infamous Supreme Court ruling by Judge Roger Taney, that a black man had no rights that a white man was bound to respect.

Afterwards, we made our way to the famous Blueberry Hill bar, which is a must stop for anyone who loves Blues music or just music.

That’s it. Time to go to bed. It has started to rain and the forecast for tomorrow is ominous.
