Planned Parenthood takes aim at McCain
Richmond, VA — With enemies like this, who needs friends? Could a Planned Parenthood radio ad launched Sunday taking aim at John McCain’s pro-life record actually help the Arizona Senator within the conservative activist community (on top of his Gary Bauer endorsement today) as McCain seeks to reach out to his right flank?
The ad attacks McCain’s “anti-choice” stance, noting that his “plan to outlaw abortion threatens the lives and health of women.” The 60-second spot will air in the DC area through Tuesday and adds that McCain has a “zero percent rating from Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the lowest rating in the US Senate.” The group promises an “aggressive effort” to educate voters about McCain’s pro-life record through the general election.
Of course, this ad also reflects the tightrope McCain has to walk right now as he concurrently seeks to bring aboard skeptical conservatives while also continuing to appeal to independents and moderates important in the general—the lowest Planned Parenthood rating in the US Senate could increase his appeal on the right and decrease it on the left.

Planned Parenthood Action Fund Launches Radio Ad Criticizing Sen. McCain’s Commitment to Overturn Roe v. Wade
WASHINGTON, DC - The Planned Parenthood Action Fund today announced the release of a radio ad educating voters about Sen. John McCain’s anti-choice voting record. Throughout his entire public career, Sen. McCain has voted consistently against women’s health, and he supports overturning the landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling, Roe v. Wade.
“Sen. McCain believes government has the right to interfere with the most personal and often the most difficult decisions affecting a woman’s health,” said Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund. “Most Americans believe just the opposite and, as more voters realize Sen. McCain’s ardent anti-choice position, this will be an issue for him in the general election.”
As Sen. McCain is the presumptive Republican nominee for president, his record and rhetoric on abortion will come under further scrutiny. As NPR reported last week, many Republican voters incorrectly believe that Sen. McCain supports abortion rights. However, Sen. McCain’s voting record and statements put him out of the mainstream of voters.
According to a recent Quinnipiac Poll (August 2007), 62% of voters support Roe v. Wade, with 64% of independent voters supporting Roe v. Wade. In the same poll, by a 20-point margin, voters believe abortion should be legal (57-37); among independent voters, that margin increases to 26 points (59-33).
The Planned Parenthood Action Fund is launching an aggressive effort to educate voters about Sen. McCain’s anti-choice record, using Sen. McCain’s own words in the radio ad.
“We will make clear to voters that Sen. McCain is anti-choice and wants to overturn Roe v. Wade,” said Richards. “The more voters learn about Sen. McCain’s ardent anti-choice record, the more resistance he will face from the majority of voters, especially among moderate Republicans and independents, who support Roe v. Wade.”
Sen. McCain has received a zero percent rating from the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the lowest rating in the U.S. Senate. He opposed commonsense measures to avoid unintended pregnancies and thus reduce the need for abortion. He opposed ending the “global gag rule,” an anti-family planning restriction that reduces access to contraception and abortion services and information in poorer countries.
The radio ad, called “Real Talk,” will air in the Washington, DC, media market, targeting voters going to the polls on February 12.

Announcer: Think you know which candidate for president wants to outlaw abortion and overturn Roe v. Wade?
McCain: “I do not support Roe v. Wade. It should be overturned.” [AP, 2/18/07]
Announcer: That’s John McCain, not Mike Huckabee, and those are his real views. Even though John McCain knows what’s at risk, he wants abortion to be illegal again, just like it used to be.
McCain: “I do believe that it’s very likely or possible that a Supreme Court should, could overturn Roe v. Wade.” [ABC This Week with George Stephanopoulos, 11/19/06]
Announcer: McCain’s plan to outlaw abortion threatens the lives and health of women - that’s why John McCain received a zero percent rating from Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the lowest rating in the US Senate. When you vote, always vote pro-choice and remember John McCain’s real talk:
McCain: “I have been pro-life for all of my political career.” [NBC Meet the Press with Tim Russert, 5/13/07]

Of course! Planned Parenthood wants to make sure McCain is the Rep. nominee. That will ensure a Dem. victory, which is exactly what P.P. wants! Huckabee is totally pro-life, including being against embryonic stem cell research. The Dems and P.P. know Huckabee is the real threat; he’s the only one who can go toe-to-toe against either candidate.
Hillary — McCain? Hillary — McCain? Hillary — McCain? Hillary — McCain?
Ruin the country fast — slow? Ruin the country fast — slow? Ruin the country fast — slow?
They will both ruin this country, one fast and one slow? They should be the candidate of the, “Assisted suicide Party”. They will both kill our country.
At least Hillary does not say she is a Republican when she is not.

Look…I like Huckabee. I really do. He’s a nice guy, he’s funny, he’s got personality. But he’d get TROUNCED by either Hillary or Obama. I mean completely thoroughly destroyed. Now if you want to vote for Huckabee as a symbolic gesture….fine. Knock yourself out. But don’t try to play this spin game about how he’s going to win the nomination and how he’s the only GOP with a chance. Stop it. Drink less.
This story has Carl Rove written all over it!!!! Bush had better call Rove away from McCain or his Bush’s legacy with concervatives will be trashed!
[...] Mosheh Oinounou has a post on the Fox News Embed blog indicating that Planned Parenthood has launched radio ads attacking John McCain. The post comments that this could help McCain with conservatives. [...]
Obviously, yes. Planned Parenthood is more about self-perpetuation. I am amazed how any arm of the medical community, aware of what a child looks like at first trimester, could possibly support abortion.
His position on Right to Life is one of his more salient features, to be certain. The democrats? Completely Californicated on this and other issues.
I still can’t comprehend how we disguise something has gruesome as Abortion as Planned Parenthood.
John McCain is yet another Washington-Insider, CFR, Pro-Abort, Open-Borders, Anti-Free-Speech, Establishment front-man dutifully willing to serve the interests of his masters among the New World Order Illuminati globalist elites who seek to ruin the sovereignty, strength, economy, morals, military, familes, faith, and freedom of America, so that we will be forced to bow our knees to their North American Union (like the European Union), and their new currency (the amero, instead of the dollar) common to Canada, the U.S., and Mexico

Mike Huckabee

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is a genuine, honest man of principle who connects with people on a personal level. It is clear that his commitment is not to gaining power or to advancing an agenda as a politician, but to humbly serving the people as their president. He does not ignore the common folk outside of society’s elite establishment, but rather he understands the needs of every American.
His ability to lead and to achieve results is evident from his more than 10 years as governor of Arkansas, where he was able to cut taxes nearly 100 times with an almost entirely Democratic state legislature. He is unmatched by any other candidate in the race in terms of executive leadership experience, and Time Magazine honored him as one of the five best governors in America. Further, his skill for communicating clearly and passionately can unite America internally and with other countries.
I can trust Huckabee to defend this country from our enemies because he understands the nature of the war on terror and the need to secure our borders. He has a record of preserving moral values from decaying within society and is determined to appoint federal judges who interpret the law, not legislate from the bench. He will also practice fiscal conservatism and work to implement the Fair Tax, a national sales tax, and stop penalizing the populace’s productivity with other taxes.
As Huckabee has said, his personal faith defines him and thus will give him the inner strength he needs to endure in an office as grueling and demanding as that of the U.S. president. I can sense his sincerity of heart and soundness of character by listening to what he says, watching how he presents himself, how he treats others and how he reacts to what life throws at him. He has temperately suffered the animosity laid against him by many in the conservative establishment, patiently dealt with unfair scrutiny of his religious background and endured the loss of public exposure to his message due to biased coverage by some in the mainstream media.
Despite being outspent by his rivals by tens of millions of dollars, he remains competitive in this modern political race because his message is needed by the American people. The sheer strength of his grassroots support base and its traditional volunteer efforts have brought him to this point. I can say that Huckabee is someone of whom I can really approve and not just a lesser of two evils. He is a proven leader with a vision that can inspire this nation if he is given the opportunity to be the 44th president of the United States.

I just read a article on worldnetdaily about McCain and his connection to George Soros (Moveon.org) I knew that if he was in Congress that long he would have connections to Globalists, Liberals and open borders advocates like Soros, and T. Heinz/Kerry.
This man is not what he seems.

We need a true American like Mike to run this nation. Mike will protect our Sovereignty and Constitution. (One Nation Under God)
Imagine the following regarding the right of husbands to beat their wives:
“Sen. Clinton believes government has the right to interfere with the most personal and often the most difficult decisions affecting a family,” said Cecil Richards, president of the National Husbands Action Fund. “Most Americans believe just the opposite and, as more voters realize Sen. Clinton’s ardent anti-choice position, this will be an issue for her in the general election.”
Either every human being (a genetically individual member of the human species) from conception to natural death has dignity, or, they have dignity at the whim of spouses, parents, or governments.
Mike seems like a moral individual with many positive attributes; however, he is probably not going to win. Our destiney as individuals and as a country are probably going to be determined by Senator McCain or Obama and their party …. How Sad. To look back at what we were as Americans and to what we have become … How Sad.
To Whom It May Concern;
Before we, the American people, consider putting Senator John McCain in the white house, there are some things to be considered. When my family contacted him on three different occasions about violation of our Constitutional Rights, we did receive correspondence back on all three. The bottom line is he did nothing to help us. My father is a Korean War Veteran. I only mention this because it is used by Senator McCain in his campaign. So apparently it alone is supposed to stand for something.
A doctor and his wife, Arizona Residents, filed a dependency petition in AZ for 2 minor children that were residents of Nevada. Not only did AZ have them brought to the petitioners but they also did not tell NV that they were residents of the state. AZ also never contacted the immediate family and when the family found them on their own, the state refused to process them. The Korean War Veteran I spoke of is the Paternal Grandfather to these children. The Attorney General’s office in AZ have stated in federal court documents that “at all times have acted Under a Color of Law.” I guess baby brokering is legal in the state of Arizona! The children have been adopted by these people and the immediate family has been severed (even though we passed a home study in Florida).
If Senator McCain cannot help protect the rights of one family how will he run a nation. (copies of letters from Sen. McCain upon request)

Well my friends, we have an obligation to vote, and at this point, McCain may be less questionable after reading this article (even though he is for embryonic stem cell research, so, still low on my totum pole…but nevertheless) and honestly, compared to Obama & Clinton, McCain will have to do. It’s funny how PP pretends to care about the government staying out of women’s private lives, until $$$ is involved. Maybe McCain is just pretending to be moderate and will take care of business for real if he becomes Pres.??? Wake up Patricia.
