Obama Wins Maine

Barack Obama won Maine handily tonight - an “upset” per the Obama campaign, even though the polls going into today’s caucus favored Obama. According to his campaign manager, “Obama has now won 20 contests to Clinton’s 11; he’s won a larger share of the popular vote; and he’s projected to more than triple his current pledged delegate lead since Super Tuesday from 27 pledged delegates to 84, a net gain of 57 pledged delegates.”

Here’s what he told some 18,000 in Virginia Beach after he heard the results.

And the memo sent out by the Obama Camp:

Today, Obama won an upset victory in Maine, a state where internal and external polls had Clinton leading in the days leading up to the caucuses. Obama is projected to win 15 delegates to Clinton’s 9, capping off an Obama sweep of this weekend’s contests.

Barack Obama has won nearly twice as many states as Hillary Clinton. He won a Red State, Purple State, and Blue States this weekend – showing he has broad national appeal and can win in every corner of this country. Obama has now won 20 contests to Clinton’s 11; he’s won a larger share of the popular vote; and he’s projected to more than triple his current pledged delegate lead since Super Tuesday from 27 pledged delegates to 84, a net gain of 57 pledged delegates.

This weekend’s net gain of 57 pledged delegates represents more than the 42 delegate net gain that Clinton won in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Tennessee and Arizona – combined.

While Obama’s victories demonstrate his broad national appeal, he still faces an uphill battle in every upcoming contest because the Clintons are far better known and have a political machine that’s been honed over two decades. But the more voters get to know Obama and his message of change, the more they support him, which bodes well for the upcoming primaries.

Obama’s victories reflect what a recent Time poll confirmed the other day – that he is the candidate best suited to win Independents, play well in Red States, and beat John McCain in November. As the nominee, Obama will also help down-ballot Democrats get elected to Congress across the country, especially in those Red States where Democrats haven’t fared well for decades. So Obama won’t just win an election, he’ll win a new majority for change, so we can finally solve the problems we’ve been talking about for decades.

“Difficulty need not foreshadow despair or defeat. Rather achievement can be all the more satisfying because of obstacles surmounted”
The media may have initially portrayed that head to head clash on February 5th as a draw, but after this weekend America knows otherwise. Super Tuesday was an Obama win, albeit a somewhat indecisive one. The pundits are trying to say that neither candidate was driven out of the race. No one was knocked out so they say it was a tie, but that’s not the definition of a tie. A tie is when neither candidate gains or loses any ground. Anyone watching American politics for even the last three months knows that Obama has gained tremendous momentum in a short period of time. Senator Obama won 20 states as opposed to Senator Clinton’s 11. While the numbers were shifting, now that the dust has settled it appears that Obama will also win the delegate count 910 to 882. The race to the nomination is really all about the delegates. Despite all of the lowering of expectations that went on before the biggest vote in this race to date, Barrack defied any reason to think that the prohibitive front-runner since 2004 Hillary Clinton was the democratic juggernaut that she claimed to be. As Sen. Obama said on that Tuesday night in response to the comment that the Clinton Campaign was built to deliver that knockout blow on Super Tuesday, “Our time has come.” Only a few weeks prior to Super Tuesday Hillary Clinton’s Campaign was gloating about having the race wrapped up by now, but voters from all demographics have rewritten the political script of America. As for the Latino question, has anyone spent time letting them know that Obama is the son of an immigrant? Has anyone let them know that he does in fact have their interests at heart? Most likely no, and that is Obama’s fault. On the other hand you can’t blame the man he has had months to challenge what took the Clintons decades to build. No matter what your stance is it is hard to overlook the tremendous amount of momentum Obama is building in such a short time.
Several factors shaped the Super Tuesday contest into a race favorable to Senator Obama. First, one must acknowledge the remarkable momentum that Barrack Obama was riding coming into February with. In the last three weeks he has closed a 15 point gap between himself and Senator Clinton in the polls. Another factor helpful for Obama was his continued success in caucus states, something that will potentially play to his favor in the next couple months. Beyond the state and delegate victories there was other excellent news in the results for the Obama Campaign. Most remarkable was his ability win in the American heartland, notably in the red state of Kansas (74-26). Those wins fixed with Obama’s striking victories in overwhelmingly white Idaho (80-17) and swing-state Minnesota (67-32), go a long to towards stating that Obama has shattered the assumption that his campaign was reminiscent of a Jesse Jackson picture that the Clinton Campaign had tried to interleave him into after South Carolina. In this way Barrack Obama has proved himself viable by being successful in every corner of the nation including states where Democrats will have to compete with Republicans in November. In fact Obama is two states away from literally connecting from coast to coast. From Virginia to Washington and everything in between. Going forward, the biggest factor in the race might turn out to be the financial one. It has been widely reported that the Obama campaign raised an unprecedented 32 million dollars in January and is on pace to match or even exceed that in February. Meanwhile the recent political media cycle has been dominated by the news that Hillary Clinton has put 5 million of her own money into her campaign, even as much of the campaign staff forgoes pay. on top of that she has replaced her campaign coordinator. No matter which way it is spun that cannot be good news. This may reflect the harsh reality that much of the Clinton campaign funding has come from corporate lobbyists who are now at their legal limit; as opposed to the Obama campaign’s funding that has been raised in relatively small dollar amounts from ordinary people, who the campaign can go back to for more and more donations. Now that is building from the bottom up. It will be hard for the Clinton campaign to swallow that a man that was unknown one year ago is now running stride for stride with the biggest political machine in America and is just waiting for it to fall flat on it’s face.

It saddens me that people can be so cold and calculating. It almost makes you ashamed to live in a country that has so many people spitting hatred. Instead of being school yard bullies why don’t you just congratulate Obama and wish Hillary well? Is this how you all raise your children with such venom? It’s no wonder so many of our children get into drugs, violence and hatred for their fellow man, they are learning this behavior from their parents.

Luis, you are funny. Go cry along with Mrs Clinton. Bwahahah. Cry and cry until your last days in this campaign. There’s no stopping Barack Obama from getting this nomination NOW! Its in the bag baby. The good news for you is I am white and YO! 100% of my white heart goes to the race of Michael Jordan who dunked his way and beat every color, red, white, yellow, orange or green. Kidding aside, Hillary’s only chance is to act again— CRY, and hope she can fool the people again. LOL!

Congratulations Senator Obama. We are proud of you and even though we cannot give you votes, you have our prayers. You an exceptional person and I hope the American people will grab the opportunity to be led by a man of your stature, brilliance and appeal.

Barack Obama is a candidate that is honest and has a lot of integrity. He has 8 years working successfully in the Illinois legislature and 3 years years working extremely well in the US senate. He graduated from Columbia University and Harvard Law School. He worked for several years as a community organizer in the inner city of Chicago. He taught constitutional law and was a civil rights lawyer. He is a great leader and will be a capable and noble president that brings about real and positive change for America.

OBAMA ‘08

Comment by Walter

Luis, are you kidding me? The Clintons background is so dark they’re still trying to find their way out. Whatever your issues are with Sen. Obama has to do more with you than him based on your imbecilic comments. Are you listening to the American people it doesn’t have anything to do with color. Sen. Obama is brilliant and inspiring and it is resonating with the people. Do your homework next time Luis before you make a taciturn comment so people can take you serious. Oh by the way Luis, when you start a sentence with “I am not a racist,’ YOU ARE…..

Comment by James

Well, looks like you guys are about to proven right.

A few more points to consider.

Those who vote for Obama are, he says, choosing “hope over fear, unity over division and the future over the past.” By implication, Hillary’s supporters are choosing the reverse.

Hispanics, many of whose immigrant status in America is tenuous at best and who typically find themselves at odds with African Americans over employment etc., strongly fear the change in the status quo that Obama has been trumpeting. They already have hope in the form of Hillary, and her election as president effectively safeguards their future. For women it’s more a case of “Would you trust a man over one of us?”

But on closer examination, the woman they have chosen is a follower, not a leader. She followed the crowd who voted to invade Iraq. She followed the crowd who argued for exceptions for torture, then followed them again when the politics of the moment changed. And now she has followed her husband’s lead by running for US president just as he did.

She’d probably make a good vice-president, as Obama himself observed, but would be a relatively indecisive Commander-in-Chief. Bill naturally knows it, which is why he continually has to shore up her credibility by being a crutch to her by her side. She looks good on TV, and I feel sorry for her because she’s a nice enough lady as again Obama himself noted, but those qualities on their own aren’t the stuff of presidents. On the other hand, Obama is a leader in the classic mold, a trail-blazer who has cast aside a host of obstacles to get where he is now and proved all the skeptics wrong.

By and large, Hillary’s supporters are effectively electing to remain semi-enslaved and cynical in a polarised society, and with the hope of only relatively modest self-advancement, rather than to embrace a dream that might well help to empower them to transcend their shackles altogether.

It isn’t hard to see why Obama has the winning formula.

Comment by Florida gal

James~ Unfortunately you can’t run a country on false promises of hope and change. It may make a good movie but this is reality. Just the fact that Obama can have a 17 year friendship and buisness relationship with Rezko should tell you that he is not for hope or change, actually he is supporting corruption! And, how many favors is he going to owe Ted Kennedy and associates if he wins the presidency?

I would never give anyone Obama’s winning formula, it has too much salt in it!!

Comment by Jenna K

I can’t believe the racist anti-Obama commentary. Pathetic.

This man has more integrity than any politician I’ve seen in a long time. He has more charisma and momentum than anyone since John F. Kennedy. My prediction: we will be telling our grandchildren about the year we watched this brilliant man’s campaign from start to finish.

Comment by s fields

I feel both Obama & Clinton are good candidates, but I just can’t explain the feeling i get when obama speaks. He motivates me. He makes me feel that anything is possible. I know the ability to be a good speaker doesn’t make you a good president, but he sure as hell got me believing he can change this country.

The only main concern I have about Cliinton is national security. Has anybody thought about the fact that our enemies in the middle east look at females as inferior?? I feel that we’ll be tested alot more with her as president. Their going to look at her and us as a joke.

Comment by David Young

Obama certainly has a distinct advantage over Hillary … he will always capture about 90 plus percent of the Black racist vote. When you have a block of the public that votes primarily on a race basis, you have a big advantage over candidates that win or fail based on a wider spectrum of the public supporting them. When you look at the voids in Obama’s resume, you can only wonder on what basis he wins against Hillary Clinton.

Comment by Mattie

Jenna and Fields,
Are you sure you girls don’t have a sugar deficiency? Seriously, how can Obama make you feel good when he is the buisness partner of the corrupt Rezko? There is a good chance that he will also be indicted in the Rezko corruption case. And, Ted Kennedy endorsing Obama? Ted got away with the homicide of his mistress and Obama looks up to him? He can dance the dance and spew sugar to Americans desperate for hope and change but that does not mean anything. We can’t build our future on hope!

Comment by Christopher Porter

Florida gal

I think you have a case of Pot and Kettle syndrome. Is that the only example of so-called corruption you can come up with? Rezko? That’s not even a story anymore.

The real story is how he is winning in every region of the country. Crossing racial lines, socio-economic lines, gender etc.

Here’s what I believe it boils down to. People like him better, plain and simple. Because, contrary to Clinton supporters opinion, he is rock solid on the issues just as she is. (To find out where he stands on the issues just do a little research) To be perfectly honest, they are both liberal Democrats, they will not be that far apart on issues and policy. He has far more integrity than she does. Is just as intelligent as she is, if not more. Has far less baggage than she does. Is less polarizing. More inspiring. Anybody can see these things are true.

For all of those people saying that they will vote Republican if Obama gets the nomination that’s just stupid because if you think Bush is bad, why would you vote for someone just like him? If that’s not racist I don’t know what is, because essentially what you are saying is if it aint white it ain’t right.

Comment by Torpedo

I think Obama sat and read the books written by and about JFK and decided that this is what will win me the presidency. I don’t have to believe it myself, I just have to convince these niave Americans that are desperate for hope and change. Obama is nothing but a manipulator and I can guarantee you that he is sitting back laughing at all of you gullible people for believing that he could be the next JFK! And, now he copycats all of Hillary’s ideas and plans for this country because he honestly has no idea what he himself believes in. I guess JFK didn’t print his detailed plans for America in his books or he would of used them!!

Comment by James

Florida gal. The late Senator, Simon Cameron (1799-1889), once famously said that “An honest politician is one, who when he is bought, stays bought.” By that definition, even if we are to say that Obama was involved in wrongful dealings with Rezko — and there is no evidence of that, just that they did some sort of property deal together — he was an honest politician insofar as his association with Rezko is concerned. After the Clintons got on his case about the whole thing, what a surprise it was when a photo, taken some years ago, surfaced of both Clintons smiling alongside him! Well it was a surprise, anyway, to those who don’t understand how ALL politicians operate.

However, Obama is relatively less tainted by the stain of corruption at an establishment level, and himself expresses the desire to write a new chapter in American politics. Even if he doesn’t achieve it, you have to give him marks for trying. No one else is even talking that way.

By the way, just in case this sounded ambiguous “… what a surprise it was when a photo, taken some years ago, surfaced of both Clintons smiling alongside him!”, I meant aloongside Rezko.

Obama has not even been named in any of Rezko’s scandals. That IS old news, is that the best you can do. It’s sad that there are so many racist in this country. I’m black and Obama gets my vote because he is a BETTER CANDIDATE!!! I was a Clinton supporter but decided that I do want dignity restored to the whitehouse and a Strong President, who doesn’t have millions to loan his campaign!!! I’m proud of Obama, He gets black votes because he got white votes first!!!!! and because he worked hard for it!!!!So stop acting as if black people are thr reason he is ahead. We are the reason he’s going to be farther ahead. If bill did’t try to slyly inject race into this campaign, she probably would have done better. Thank you South Carolina for letting the clintons know that black people are not that stupid.!!My Hispanic American brothers and sisters, I hope you are paying attention, Billary loved Black people until one of us could potenetially be seen as winner of the whitehouse, imagine if it had been a hipanic instead. At least Barack can speak Spanish. You still haven’t told me.

“We know the battle ahead will be long,
but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way,
nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change.
We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics who will only grow louder and more dissonant.
We’ve been asked to pause for a reality check.
We’ve been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope.
But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope.”

I don’t know why Latinos would think Blacks are competing for jobs, White people have most of the really good ones. That is a fact!!!!We are all Americans, Barack is trying to make sure we all have the same opportunites and I am glad for my sons that he will be our next pres. When Bill Clinton had my 7 year old son coming from school asking what did the president do with a cigar, and later my 10 year old praying at bedtime that noone tries to liberate America like Iraq, I was thinking what kind of country have I cursed upon my sons? But they are even inspired by Barack, They know it doesnt have to be this way. For the first time in 16 years I will be proud to have a President who worked hard , believed and Achieved as a 2nd role model to my sons(my husband is the 1st). People with small minds frustrate me because when they can’t make a compelling argument they say “oh you’re just stupid.” I used to do that in grade school but I grew up. The fact is Her campaign is falling apart she’s losing contest after contest. Check realclearpolitics.com and you’ll see that she is behind in the delgate count, even with all of her super delegates. She is behind in the popular vote, she is behind in states won and the losses may continue until March. Those are real numbers, no la la land

Have a good evening.

This is from that same article you just posted and your argument is what?

“The Illinois senator isn’t accused of any wrongdoing. And there’s no evidence Obama knew contributions to his 2004 U.S. Senate campaign came from schemes Rezko is accused of orchestrating.”

The story says that he is not even named in the court documents. Nowhere does it say that the States Attorneys office in considering an indictment. The very people who broke the story say that he did nothing wrong. That’s why I said it is not a story. Keep fishing.

Well even though Hillary still lead in delegates… the momentum is on Obama side….. and Tuesday going be another sweeps again…… She need Texas as soon as possible, but it might be to late….In Maine she suppose to be able compete, but it wasn’t even close even though it was another Cacus? You can’t stop a rock star right now when he selling out Arena everywhere…..This was never about election on issue, it about who cool and different and Hillary can’t compete against a movement? Youth of american is spreading to the old timers now…..

I just don’t understand where all theses people in IL, allot of people can’t stand him in his on state, but US is falling for him…..

“The allegations against Rezko that involve Obama are contained in one paragraph of a 78-page document filed last month in which prosecutors outline their corruption and fraud case against Rezko, who was also a key money man for Gov. Blagojevich and other politicians.”

One paragraph of a 78 page document. Again no proof of wrongdoing. Hardly a smoking gun.

You hit the nail on the head. You struck a chord, and so did I. They don’t have an intelligent reply to anything you and I said so they resort to the use of ad hominems. For some reason or the other it bothers them that Obama is going to be president. They can’t even justify their resentment, so it just comes out as pure venom. Knowing deep down that we’re right, but not knowing how to intelligently refute the validity of what we say, they go straight for the jugular thinking pathetically that this will buttress theri “case”.

Please be careful what you say about people on line. You could be held liable or even accused of slander. It is within your right to choose the candidate of your choice but insinuating that someone is a drug lord is crossing the line. Be very careful. As we all know that once you have posted something in cyberspace it can come back to haunt you. Just a reminder about Obama’s run for the U.S. Senate, Hilary campaigned for him in Illinois. He sought out her advice once he was on the hill. I guess the old politicians are “OK” IF THERE IS SOMETHING IN IT FOR YOU. Wow for somebody who is looking to change the whole political system because of the cronies on the hill Ted Kennedy came in handy. Talks out of both sides of his mouth.

Obama is the Anti-Christ. This is the evidence:

1.- He will come as a man of Peace (Obama promises peace in Iraq, defeat for the US)
2.- He will come mounted on a white Female horse(Obama mother is white who had 6 African husbands)
3.- He will come to deceive( Obama says he’s a Christian but in fact he was born a Muslim, practices the Islamic religion, prays Friday’s facing Mecca)
4.- He will make himself the most powerful man on earth, if elected
5.- He will try to destroy the Jewish People and Israel( Obama has said he loves the Arabs specially the Palestinians, hates Israel and Jews. Admires Hitler, Osama etc)
6.- He will present himself as good and righteous but in fact he’s Satan himself. Violence is in his heart
7.- Obama will help Al Qaida in its evil projects.
8.- Barack Hussein Obama is the “King of the South” predicted in the Bible.(Daniel .11, Kenya is south of Jerusalem)
9.- Obama comes to implant muslim Sharia Law upon America.
Obama is the Anti-Christ, beware of him.
Watch him and don’t let you be deceived by Him.
Supporters of Obama: 1.5 billion Muslims, Oprah, Louis Farrakanh, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and all American Muslims.
OBAMA’S GAME IS DECEPTION AND VIOLENCE
A VOTE FOR OBAMA IS A VOTE FOR OSAMA AND KILLER ISLAM!!

This is response to David Young’s question:

“Could one African American that is not voting for Obama please provide me his/her rationale as to why he/she is not voting for Obama???”

I’m an African American woman and I’m not voting for Obama. The reason why I’m not voting for him is because I’m very conservative. His stance on a lot of the issues totally goes against a lot of what I believe in. I guess you’re wanting a response from a liberal African American who isn’t voting for him, because any true African American conservative wouldn’t vote for him. There are African Americans supporting Hillary, but a lot of them aren’t supporting her because of the backlash in South Carolina. The Clintons have had the support of African Americans for years and when Bill started showing his true colors, African Americans have been desserting the Clintons. Hillary was doing much better with African Americans before Bill started running his mouth. The leaders in the community were supporting her but all that changed after South Carolina. I’m not voting for Hillary or Obama. I apologize if this wasn’t the response that you were looking for.

Obama is on a roll…. If Billary doesnt win a primary soon she is in trouble. Perception is a powerful thing. Obama has won 18 of 31 states with NM still undecided. She hasnt had a good day since winning Nevada and New Hampshire… She lost super tuesday in state delagates and states. Call me crazy, but people cant continue to say with a straight face that only the big states matter. If that was the case then she would have a huge lead right about now. Now she wants to count states that no one campaigned in. She even wants the delagates in Michigan where she ran against the uncommitted with no one else on the ballot. Someone who really cares for Hillary should show her the hand writing on the wall… Which reads: You wont win. Too many people dislike you. It has nothing to do with your gender. Its you as a person. Even if you are lucky enough to win the Democratic Nominee, you wont win in the general. Your husband has alienated one of your most loyal base and from what Im hearing, if you beat Obama, they will vote for McCain.

I dont think one goes to church to serve a pastor. The only thing that video says to me is that every man, woman and child has sin. You go to church to serve God.
To try and attribute the words and action of Obama’s pastor to Obama is like saying all Catholics are Pedaphiles because of their Priests. Which is rediculous and absurd.

Again, I dont think one goes to church to serve a pastor. Your arguement has no foundation. You are obviously a Clinton supporter who refuses to see the truth.
Frustration has set in and you are feeling a need to lash out. I understand the feeling one gets when one doesnt get ones way. Has it ever occurred to the Clinton supporters that people really dont want to see her husband back in the White House. So far more states and people have came to that conclusion. Hillary is to divisive. People either love her or hate her. There is no in-between. Wake up! She cant win the general. Besides, people dont want to see the White House turned into “Motel 6″,
again!

Comment by David Young

L. Coleman. Thanks for your comments. I am only trying to understand why people are voting the way they are and what is the basis for their decisions. You seem to understand where you want to go with your vote, which is good. To be honest, I don’t really care for any of these candidates nor do I have much confidence in any of them, Republican or Democrat. So I am trying to determine who might be the best individual for the country on a whole. All of their words sound nice, but can they really deal with what I see as some very complex and difficult problems that are going to have be addressed across a wide spectrum of national and international issues. I hope one of them can.

David Young, I understand what you’re saying. If you’re an independent it’s a little hard to make a decision on which candidate to vote for. I don’t really care for any of the candidates on the GOP side and quite frankly, I think the race is somewhat boring. Being a African American conservative, I find myself watching the Democrat race more often lol. I just want to make it known that about 85% of African Americans are liberal. The Clintons have enjoyed their support for years. Earlier in the race Barack Obama, wasn’t gaining enough support from the African American community because of the loyalty to the Clintons, but all that has changed and the polls clearly show it.

I strongly believe that Bill Clinton’s antics in South Carolina caused her to lose a tremendous amount of support because at first many African Americans weren’t even going to vote for Obama. They were looking at Hillary’s experience and their loyalty to the Clintons but after South Carolina, it seems as though African Americans felt alienated by Bill and said we’ll show them and started getting on the Obama bandwagon. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Obama and Hillary but neither of them will be getting my vote. If you look back at the earlier polls Clinton was way ahead of Obama in the African American vote. Polls leading up to the South Caroling primary showed her ahead. Don’t get me wrong there are a lot of African Americans who weren’t affected by what happened in SC but many were. I know in my family Obama wasn’t the first choice especially among women. They get on me all the time about being consersative lol. I stick with the issues that I’m for or against and Hillary or Obama don’t meet to my standards.

I am a white guy and Obama would get my vote before Billary was even a consideration for me. The Clintons are above the law, have been involved in too many scandels to enumerate on and as fas as I am concerned both should be in prison!!

Obama lies.

He has been for ages. He uses passive aggressive second-handed tactics to get people to vote for him. His ‘changes’ aren’t any different than saying he’s going to do exactly what Bill Clinton did when he went for his first run as president.

Lets forget for a moment that he spent 2 years in office not doing anything, (he has spent over 2 years working on a campaign to become president of the United States and not doing his job in office; as a senator, the likelihood of him getting his job back would be tenuous at best.)

Lets look at his personality. He makes a lot of claims, but he doesn’t have a solid road map to getting those changes put into place. He throws around a lot of buzzwords that are specifically entailed to make people think he’s speaking of ‘good things to come’.

He has admitted that he doesn’t know what he’s going to do as president. He has ideas, and they could be good for the country. (Hell, they were good for the country back when the Clintons were doing them!) but he has no experience in getting them done. He doesn’t even know how to get them done.

His entire plan once getting into office is to rely on others to get the job done. He himself said, “I keep good people around me so that they can get the job done. I’m disorganized, messy, and I can’t keep things straight; I’m good at getting good workers to do the work.”

That’s the exact opposite of what we need in a president at the moment. A president has to be able to make tough decisions. They have to be able to do the work. Being president isn’t about sitting in an office while everyone else does your job for you. A leader paves the way by leading with examples; by doing the work himself. Delegation is important, but when you’re not doing anything yourself…

Obama is -bad- for this country. He’s already started threatening China, (the biggest reason that our Dollar hasn’t fallen lower than it already has,) and ostracizing our country with the rest of the world. We’ve already had a president that did that, and it has hurt our country extensively.

He’s also been involved in more slanderous attacks than any other candidate. The biggest one being his attack against former president Clinton. When Bill Clinton said his now-infamous Fairy Tale comment, nobody in the press took it to mean anything other than Obama’s stance on the ‘war in Iraq’. Then Obama’s team of political advisers turned it around and started acting like Clinton had been talking about their campaign, and the Media took off with that angle. Why? Because it’s salacious.

Obama himself has been referring to his campaign as a Fairy Tale. Every time he brings up that ‘Cold Day in Illinois’ he’s trying to make you, the voter, believe that he’s the under-dog, and he’s anything but that now.

I find that his portrayal of Racism against the Clintons appalling; if they’re racist, then he’s a sexist.

If he’s planning to use these sorts of tactics against John McCain in the Presidential Election, then he won’t win the White House at all. Hillary Clinton has been fairly decent towards Obama, not bringing up sore portions of his past that would hurt him in the eyes of the public. McCain has a history of not pulling any punches.

Obama’s claims of Clinton spreading lies about him in New Hampshire is also complete bull. They passed around his voting record; he can’t hide from that.

Voting for Obama is voting for a further decrease in our Economy. His idea of helping the economy is to, a.) 1-up Clinton by 5 billion dollars, and b.) Not do anything with the stimulus. (His plan called for 75Billion dollars to be freed up for a stimulus package, and then not use 45 Billion or so of it.)

Historically, Obama has absolutely nothing useful to give the country that we don’t already have, from policies to ideas. What policies he has that weren’t cannibalized from Bill Clinton are detrimental to our Economy, our Foreign Policy, and our neighboring countries of Canada and Mexico.

Luis is there anyone else who is running that has a “dark criminal past”? And James good point, but why stop there–Had it not been for Paula Jones bringing up charges against her rapist, we would have never heard of “that girl, Miss Lewisky”.

Damadar you are disillusioned if you think Clinton hasn’t been attacking Obama. She and her husband has and it has been backfiring. Months before campaigning the media was anonymously informed where he went to school in India (after his mother remarried). Everyone new it came from
