FOX Embeds: Follow the ELV

Meet the Team Taking a 3,500-Mile Tour Across America

Eric Barnes is an L.A.-based photographer. In just one year of travels, Eric has been ON the equator, 750 miles north of the Arctic Circle and broadcast live from the Demilitarized Zone on the Korean Peninsula — one of the most volatile spots on earth. Crossing four time zones in two weeks will be a piece of cake. Oh and the way, he’s single.

Kathleen Foster has been with Fox since before the News Channel was born, starting as an intern covering the 1996 presidential conventions. Since then she has logged countless miles around the world. Kathleen has embedded with Marines in Iraq and dodged rockets in Israel. Back home, she has covered natural and man-made disasters, celebrity scandals and deaths, crime and punishment, and various controversies — always telling both sides of the story. As the Advance Producer, Kathleen will be blazing the trail ahead of the rest of “Team America.” So if you see her alone in a diner, buy her a cup of coffee. She will no doubt need it.

Jeff Burton is a Field Tech based in the Atlanta Bureau. Jeff is a “plug-n-play” utility who shoots, edits, techs audio, backfills on the Atlanta based SNV, and occasionally does some field producing. He has only been with the Channel for a little over a very busy year. Just after his arrival Jeff brought us some of the first streaming video from our Treo Comet Vision Smartphones, so streaming video via RaySat technology is a natural fit.

Lee Ross is a producer from the D.C. bureau and is busy working the phones and BlackBerry behind the scenes of the Election Link Vehicle staying in touch with the news and control rooms in Washington and New York. Lee has been with Fox for 3-1/2 years and has been to Iowa, New Hampshire and Florida for You Decide 2008. When not on the road, he follows the happenings at the Supreme Court. At the start of the “Across America” adventure, Lee had been to 44 states and is looking at the maps for a highway to Hawaii.

Phil Keating joined Fox News Channel in 2004, shortly after breaking the Kobe Bryant alleged rape story in Colorado, where he had been a weekend anchor and reporter in Denver. He is currently a national correspondent based in Miami, where he covered the entire Anna Nicole Smith saga, the Natalee Holloway case in Aruba and the ongoing space shuttle launches and missions. Before that, he was living on the road, a roving reporter for the syndicated Geraldo at Large TV newsmagazine. He briefly was assigned to the Fox News Boston bureau, after initially being based out of the Dallas bureau. He’s covered a lot of hurricanes for Fox, most notably Hurricane Katrina.

Good Luck on getting to the real truth of what is buggung Americans in their daily lives!
Things like how their second and third generations are sustaining themselves on the high cost of living and much to often busting the savings of their grandparents let alone their parents.
“Joe Lunchbucket” across Amnerica knows the real skinny and no one else really cares in Washington. Pure & Simple!

All one as to do is the math. Of course our school systems have been so poorly run for the last thirty years, math is most likely to hard for our next generation. The one right behind mine and I’m heading towards the mid sixties.

Simply put all cost of living has gone up ten fold but not the wages for my grand children or children that find it too difficult to bring up the grand children.

I feel the joke is on all of us and believe that Larry Abrams had it right years ago in his books” None dare call it Conspiracy” and ” Call it Conspiracy”. Goood reads if you can find the book. It appears that citizens really don’t have a choice in chosing a President.

IMHO!

Having said the above, I really do appreciate that you are going to seek out the average American and not limit us to listening to the same talking heads night after night on your evening talking heads shows. All the best.

ok, is it just me or does Phil look really out of place in the cold. Great job reporting Phil but I thought you only did Miami, Caribbean, warm weather, beach, waves, boat, reports. I figured Cape Canaveral was the farthest north you went these days. I was shocked to see you in a tie the other day, and the snow, you must have p-oed someone up there at Fox :)
