I have no other agenda than to help unite those do not wish to see another Clinton elected President. There is over 40% of the legal voting population in United States oppose the Clintons for numerous reasons, the highest of any candidate.

We should not forget or forgive those actions and attitudes. How long can one blame some right wing conspircy for their poor judgement and never take personal responsibilty for their actions. They were never illegal but always seems to be immoral or bad ethics. Like writing a “non-fictional” book while during her first term or shady investment deals and spy-gate.

She claims of over 30 years of experience…but is it experience that matters or is relevent? She was elected the first term was mere sympathy vote and was not even a real New Yorker. If I remember…Being First Lady either in AK or the White House are NOT an elected position. My grandfather was a farmer for over 30 years perhaps he could have ran for president as well! Don’t forget what she promised the New Yorkers before her second term that she was not running for president and would serve all 6 years….sound familar?

We seem to have a short memory when it comes to the Clintons. If GW Bush wasn’t such a poor president, there would never be this interest in the Clintons again. They are not leaders but only govern only after its a popular majority first. Remember the last days of Slick Willy’s term, they released many criminals and very close friends with those pardons for political contributions and favors? She was very much part of that process. My son was in the Navy right after 8 years of the Clintons, everything was in disrepair because of all the budget cuts and no real knowledge or respect for the military. He avoid serving in the military himself with very poor ethics. Do you think she will be any better???

Ask yourself this….Just what is her stand on the real issues? Are there any real plans than just talk? This sounds like more of the same and not for change. She stays neutral on many issues but promises change but the only platform she has is her own personal one… don’t forget what Bill’s role will be…She’s talked about him being an Ambassador or recent nominating him as a Supreme Court judge…They would present a real problem with power and conflict of interest.

Comparing a surgeon to a sitting first lady is comparing apples to oranges. Mrs. Clinton was basically a sounding board for many policy decisions in regard to Mr. Clinton’s presidency, which would surely count as some type of unique White House experience, so you selling her short on that experience is not being quite fair. She does not play the “Poor me” card, but when she or her daughter is attacked, she stands firms and makes it know that type of behavior will not be tolerated. I want that type of tenacity in my president. She has never played the race car and it is commendable she has a large Hispanic following. Hillary Clinton Takes Cash From Recipients of Husband’s Controversial Pardons

Nov. 15, 2007 — Three recipients of controversial 11th-hour pardons issued by former President Bill Clinton in January 2001 have donated thousands of dollars to the presidential campaign of his wife, Democratic front-runner Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., according to campaign finance records examined by ABC News, in what some good government groups said created an appearance of impropriety.

“It’s not illegal,” Melanie Sloan, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, told ABC News. “But, of course, it’s inappropriate and she should return the money. It does raise the appearance that this is payback.

“One can only hope that she wasn’t yet aware of who made the donations,” said Sloan.

“We have raised over $65 million from over 200,000 people,” said Clinton campaign manager Howard Wolfson, adding sarcastically, “I appreciate your bringing the instance of this $5,300 and these three people to our attention.”

Pardonees Donate to Clinton

One of the pardonees who has become a donor to Sen. Clinton is David Herdlinger, a former prosecutor in Springdale, Ark., who, according to press accounts at the time of his pardon pleaded guilty in 1986 to mail fraud after taking bribes to reduce or drop charges against defendants charged with drunken driving offenses.

Now a life and business coach in Georgia, Herdlinger was pardoned by President Clinton in January 2001; he donated $1,000 to Sen. Clinton’s presidential campaign in August.

Insurance agent Alfredo Regalado, who gave Hillary Clinton $2,000, was pardoned by her husband for failing to “report the transportation of currency in excess of $10,000 into the United States,” according to the Department of Justice.

Allegedly Mishandled Government Secrets

John Deutch is a different case, having served as President Clinton’s CIA director.

Pardoned by President Clinton for charges he had mishandled government secrets — but before the Department of Justice could file the proper paperwork against him — Deutch, now a professor at MIT, gave Sen. Clinton the maximum allowable donation, $2,300…

Controversial Pardons

The 177 pardons and commutations President Clinton issued in the closing hours of his presidency in January 2001 ignited a firestorm of controversy, most especially the one issued for financier Marc Rich, considered the biggest tax cheat in history, whom Rudy Giuliani had successfully indicted as a U.S. attorney.

But other controversies more closely involved Hillary Clinton.

In August 2000, during her first Senate run, Clinton met with the Hasidic community in New Square, where many members were working to obtain clemency for four members of their community who had been convicted of stealing tens of millions of dollars from the state and federal government.

The town overwhelmingly voted for Clinton, and in January 2001, the four men were granted clemency. Hillary Clinton had met with members of the community in August 2000, but said the issue did not come up.

The subject of clemency was raised in a December 2000 meeting between President Clinton and Sen.-elect Clinton, and leaders of the village, but the outgoing-first lady said at the time she had no opinion.

In June 2002, then-U.S. attorney James Comey closed an investigation into the matter with no action against anyone.

Clinton’s Brothers Paid

Hillary Clinton’s brother Hugh Rodham, was paid approximately $200,000 from Almon Glenn Braswell, whom President Clinton pardoned for mail fraud and perjury, as was Carlos Vignali, whose sentence for cocaine trafficking was commuted. News of his involvement in the pardon controversy prompted an outrage in Washington, D.C.

“I knew nothing about my brother’s involvement in these pardons,” Sen. Clinton said at the time. “I knew nothing about his taking money for his involvement.”

The Clintons asked Hugh Rodham to return the cash, which he did.

Hillary Clinton’s brother Tony Rodham was paid $244,769 over 2½ years by a carnival company, United Shows of America, owned by Edgar and Vonna Jo Gregory. The Gregorys had been convicted of bank fraud and were seeking pardons. Tony Rodham has said he mentioned their pardon application to his brother-in-law, who ultimately granted the Gregorys a pardon. But Rodham said he was not paid for anything having to do with the pardon…

It never stops, does it?

But note how quickly the DNC/Soros front known as CREW jumps into the story to defend Mrs. Bill Clinton in the guise of criticizing her:

My Mom died of cancer before the elections began. I donated part of my inheritance to HILLARY because mom adored her. Mom spoke often of HLLARY”S courage under fire, her hard work, and her compassion for ALL people. Also, Mom told me that, in the 1970’s, HILLARY worked on the the legislation that gave children with Special Needs the right to a Free and Appropriate Public Education. I am a Special Education teacher now. It is heartwarming to know that my students are in my class because HILLARY is their champion.

Can you pls cite the exact legislation that HRC “worked on” that “gave children with Special Needs the right to a Free and Appropriate Public Education”. It sounds wonderful, and quite sentimental too (only if it were true), but she was no-where in the 1970s where she could have had any effect on the federal legislative process. She may have been the typist, but that is not very likely either. In 1973, she was one of 48 junior law graduates working in Edelman’s newly founded Children’s Defense Fund in Cambridge, Massachusetts, but not even remotely close to impacting federal policy making. In 1974 she moved to Arkansas, and did not come back to the federal limelight until decades later.

HRC has had a great fog of popular mythology created for her. Her actual achievements are quite limited, and mostly have to do with polarizing the right wing so badly as to make them even more rabid and aggressive. She and Bill are perhaps the most polarizing and triangulating political figures in contemporary US politics, and have harmed the liberal and progressive cause more than any of us can imagine. Time will tell.

Can someone please tell me specifically what Mrs Clintons’ accomplishments are that are not derivative of Bill Clinton. Why are we expectd to accept “35 years” without any factual information about what she has actually done. My personal impression of her is that she is quite intelligent, a fine debater as well as an academic. I also
detect the same arrogance that is evidenced by our current president. I have no
interest in a left wing version of George Bush who has achieved very little on her own.

Reading some earlier posts regarding Hillary’s accomplishments, I didn’t see any.

Hillary has never had to take on responsibility. As a senator, you really don’t have to take responsibility. Assuming you take a position on a piece of legislation, you are only 1 of 100 votes. You can vote against something you support, knowing it will pass without your vote, because its politically expedient. That is typical of being a legislator. That is not responsibility. The one vote she had the greatest responsibility for, she now regrets, so she says. As a first lady, you are not asked or expected to take on responsibility. Again, where are her accomplishments?

Both dem candidates speak of bringing home the troups quckly. But, can they? Whether you agree with the war effort or not, there is a credibility issue at stake for the United States. Pulling troops would likely further destabilize Iraq. Right or wrong, the U. S. made a commitment to Iraq and its people. Shouldn’t we honor our commitment? Benchmarks are a good idea. We should hold the Iraqi government’s feet to the fire so to speak to ensure benchmarks are met. But, we can’t leave a void to be filled by the Islamic radicals.

Regarding the Bush tax cuts, I am open to the idea of revoking them. However, I have seen, first hand, their benefit. I am lower, lower middle class. I know, with the tax cut I received, I can’t start a business. Further, if the government gives me a greater tax cut, it will amount to money I would receive that I didn’t pay the government in the first place. Even then, I would not have enough to start a business and provide jobs. The so called rich people in our society have the money to start businesses. I would rather they have the money to invest in the economy than giving the government this money. If the dems revoke the tax cuts, wouldn’t that result in capital investment leaving the economy? How will that investment be replaced? Wouldn’t tax hikes cause further retraction in the economy? Again, I’m open to revoking the tax cuts, but tell me how it will help!
