Influential Social Conservative, James Dobson, Endorses Huckabee for President
East Rutherford, NJ-
Fox News has confirmed that Former AR governor and GOP presidential hopeful, Mike Huckabee, has received the personal endorsement, of influential social conservative, and head of Focus on the Family, Dr.James Dobson. After a telephone conversation where the two discussed Huckabee’s campaign on Thursday, Dobson released a statement” as a private citizen” endorsing Huckabee for president over rival, and Republican frontrunner Senator John McCain (R-AZ).
Dobson emphasized Huckabee’s ” unwavering positions on the social issues, notably the institution of marriage, the importance of faith and the sanctity of human life,” that resonated “deeply with him”. Dobson’s endorsement comes after he said right before Super Tuesday that he could not support McCain because of his “record on the institution of the family, and other conservative issues.”
Full Statement:
Dr. James Dobson issues the following statement tonight, speaking as a private citizen.”I am endorsing Gov. Mike Huckabee for President of the United States today. My decision comes in the wake of my statement on Super Tuesday that I could not vote for Sen. John McCain, even if he goes on to win the Republican nomination. His record on the institution of the family and other conservative issues makes his candidacy a matter of conscience and concern for me. That left two pro-family candidates whom I could support, but I was reluctant to choose between them. However, the decision by Gov. Mitt Romney to put his campaign “on hold” changes the political landscape. The remaining candidate for whom I could vote is Gov. Huckabee. His unwavering positions on the social issues, notably the institution of marriage, the importance of faith and the sanctity of human life, resonate deeply with me and with many others. That is why I will support Gov. Huckabee through the remaining primaries, and will vote for him in the general election if he should get the nomination. Obviously, the governor faces an uphill struggle, given the delegates already committed to Sen. McCain. Nevertheless, I believe he is our best remaining choice for President of the United States.
(NOTE: Dr. Dobson made these statements as a private citizen. This article is for informational purposes only and should not be construed as a reflection of the opinions of Focus on the Family or Focus on the Family Action.)
Huckabee will be barnstorming through Kansas on Friday. As his schedule currently reads, he will be making at least 9 campaign stops.Kansas holds their caucuses for Republicans this weekend.

As an evangelical Christian (and a Huckabee supporter), I say, “It’s about time, Dr. Dobson.” I’ve been deeply disappointed in Dobson (and other so-called Christian leaders) for their unwillingness to step to the plate for a candidate who clearly shares our values and viewpoints on important issues. Chances are (though I believe in miracles), that this endorsement is ‘too little too late.’ It’s shameful that Dobson failed to use his influence prior to this - the eleventh hour - in the primary process. Further, I am equally disappointed in Dobson’s statement (this past Tuesday) that if the nominees are Hillary and McCain, he (Dobson) will stay home and not vote. Such a statement contradicts everything he’s ever said about the responsibility Christians have as citizens to be involved in our great nation’s democracy. I appreciate Dr. Dobson’s ministry to families (from which I have benefitted and to which I have contributed), but think he has lost a lot of credibility with respect to his views on politics, government, and citizenship.
Too little, too late. You guys know that Huck can’t get the nomination, right?
I’m signing on to drafting Lou Dobbs as an independent. The online petition at ALIPAC is our last great hope of putting McShamnesty down like the rabid weasel that he is.
Hello, Dallas Republican! How’s your shoulder? Last night you said Huckabee was acceptable. What about it?
P.S. Hail to the Redskins!
I will gladly vote for Huck over McCrap, gladly. I’m just afraid that the delegate count has that curmudgeon locked in. And thanks, the shoulder’s good. Hail the NFC East, too…
I too have been amazed, yet in an ironic way encouraged, by the fact that folks like Dr. Dobson, Tony Perkins and Pat Robertson have failed to support Gov. Huckabee to this point. The reason I’m encouraged is that it’s made it painfully clear that these fellows put their political convictions in front of their theological convictions. My hope is that this blatant, transparent conflict is just as clear to every well-meaning, self-proclaimed Evangelical in this country and that we’ll see the failings of blindly following these types of leaders. Our hope is in another perfect leader. We should be (that is, for those of us who are Christians) following more closely the praxis of Jesus. And that’s a whole other conversation…
Is Mr. Dobson aware of Mike Huckabee’s unethical past, and that he is on Judicial Watch’s list of 10 most corrupt politicians????!!!
By the way, my Father’s pretty tore up over the GOP insanity that’s going on. He campaigned for Goldwater, and has been a GOP member since ‘58.
Today he told me that the RNC sent him a donation letter, and he threw it in the trash. I wanted to get the temperature in hell…….
I think you guys can hang up the top ten Judicial watch list stuff now. What are you gonna do, vote for McCrap? I’d like to see Huck win just out of spite for McCrap……..
Dallas Republican,
I need to catch some zzzz’s - work in the morning - but I encourage you to vote for Huck in the Texas primary (early March, I think). I know it’s far-fetched, but I think his chances are probably better then Lou Dobbs’. Good night, my friend!
P.S. I just noticed I called you ‘my friend’ . . . As I realize you’re no big fan of McCain’s, I should have chosen my words more carefully, as McCain has worn out that phrase as of late. So, good night, fellow American!
Shelby,
I know you’re in mourning over Romney’s demise, but why the ongoing effort to disparage the credibility of a tremendous candidate like the former Governor of Arkansas?
There is no way I could vote for someone as selfish, corrupt and unethical as Mike Huckabee. His past is deplorable especially for a man who claims to be such a person of God. Sick! I will do my best to spead the word about the “REAL MIKE HUCKABEE” even if others are willing to look the other way. It is wrong for anyone to condone Huckster’s past. Can you say hand in the collection plate?
Hey Floridian, have a great night and thanks for the civil debates. By the way, if McCain does go on and Huck bows out, all of y’all please check out the petition (www.alipac.us/) for Lou Dobbs.
He’s as clean as they come, a true DC outsider, and has a voracious appetite to protect our borders and expel illegals. Here’s his question that came off his website tonight:
Are you pleased that Mexican President Felipe Calderon is pleased with the remaining presidential candidates?
Lou Dobbs strikes utter fear into Calderon. So beware my friends, beware. Lou would kick ass and take names before we woke up for breakfast.
Good night to all and God bless, and remember, DON’T VOTE FOR MCCAIN EVER!!!! HE IS A SELLOUT SNAKE!!!!!!
Are you folks BLIND or ARE YOU SHEEP????!!!!
Shelby,
Why all the anti-Christian bigotry? Huckabee, as a pastor years ago, received a modest salary - the amount of which was specified in his congregation’s annual budget. If he ever had his ‘hand in the collection plate’ (as you allege), the members of his church would have had him arrested and thrown in jail. Why? Because they’re the ones who put that money in the plates to begin with and would never allow it to be misappropriated!
From Mike Huckabee’s Skeleton Closet
http://www.realchange.org/huckabee.htm :
ENRICHING HIMSELF WITH PUBLIC MONEY
“Mike Huckabee has a record of dipping into public funds and accepting improper gifts from supporters, something worrisome for a job like president where you control a trillion dollar budget. Most politicians use money as a means to get more power, even while living lives of near poverty (as Bob Dole has); surprisingly few actually enrich themselves through their work. Mike Huckabee has.
He was investigated 16 times and cited five times by the Arkansas Ethics Commission for violating ethics rules. Two of those citations were for cash that the governor or his wife accepted but did not report. Huckabee’s gifts peaked at $112,000 in 1999, including $23,000 worth of clothing; over half of that was given by one businessman who Huckabee appointed to a state board.
At one point, Huckabee claimed that he personally owned $70,000 in Governor’s Mansion furnishings donated by cotton grower Boe Adams, but was forced to disavow them after Adams said they were for the state, not the governor. After he moved out in December 2006 though, no one could find the furniture even after a state audit. Huckabee’s wife insisted they must be there somewhere.
In 1999, his former administrator at the Goveror’s Mansion sued him for abuse of state funds, claiming that Huckabee used state funds for upkeep of the mansion on panty hose, barbecue, a dog house, dry cleaning, boat fuel, and alterations to his clothes. Huckabee settled out of court, by agreeing that legal doubts existed over his use of the fund and that he wouldn’t use it for these purposes in the future.
Huckabee also used state police airplanes as a personal transportation service for him and his family, flying scores of times each year, including trips to other states with early presidential primaries. He claimed this was legitimate for security reasons.
In 1994, when he was lieutenant governor of Arkansas, Huckabee formed a non-profit organization called Action America, which seemed to exist only to deliver money to him without donors having to report or limit their contributions the way they would a normal political contribution. In 2 and a half years, Action America paid Huckabee over $61,000 just for giving speeches at its events.
When he was getting ready to move out of the governor’s mansion, bridal registries were set up at Dillards and Target for the governor and his wife, who had been married for more than 30 years. They registered for nearly $7,000 in housewares, as well as $1,000 gift cards.
State ethics laws prohibited the Huckabees from receiving gifts of more than $100 as a reward for doing his job. But there was an exception for wedding presents.
Have a good night all!
Dr Dobson has gone cenial. Not only has he endorsed a scum bag, he has waited until the race is out of reach to endorse the scum bag. Be realistic, Huckabee isn’t going to win unless the Devil is on his side. We know God isn’t on his side, look at Huck’s wife, if God loved Huck he wouldn’t have given him such a FUGLY pig for a wife! Time to flush the HUCK-A-BOOM!
Shelby,
How’d you type that tripe in two minutes?
Wait a second…isn’t it the same unfounded, nonsensical ramblings you’ve been copying and pasting on this site for weeks now?
Mikey,
Get off your high horse! You are a fool for following a fraud like Huckabee. Facts are facts, Huckabee is a thief. McCain will be a much better canidate than Huckabee. McCain doesn’t use church houses as his campaign stops. If Huckabee is a such a great canidate why hasn’t he been able to get donations for his campagin? You are only fooling yourself!
Barnabas Park,
Just because Huckabee’s wife may not be Miss America, does not prove that God doesn’t love the former Governor. I mean, after all, God even loves people who call a good man a scum bag and his faithful wife a fugly pig!
Mikey,
Go roll on the floor and pry to the devil!
I have no qualms with McCain. It’s just that Huckabee shares my values and viewpoints to a greater extent. If you think I’m a fool for supporting him (I did vote for him and I have sent his campaign several contributions), that’s fine - won’t cause any loss of sleep tonight! Incidentally, Huckabee has had a lot less (monetarily) to work with, but he sure has made the most of it! Seems like an indication (to an intelligent observer) of fiscal responsibility!
Mikey,
Huckabee hasn’t had much support to speak of outside the South. Be realistic the only reason he did well without much is because he played the Pastor card to all the evagelicals. Call it being fiscally responsible if you wish. Huckabee hasn’t got a chance.
Ok, I too agree - Our Leadership just went down the pot… But what about Ron Paul, isn’t he the only “Real” Conservative in dwindling group. How come our leadership has never “Stood” beside this guy… Is it because they know, he’s right and their wrong. Read this article:

“Go roll on the floor and pry to the devil!”
Barney (’Barnabas Park’),
Does your mommy know you’re still awake?
Mike Huckabee can still win folks. Remember the miracle in West Virginia? Now Kansas is in play with Dr. Dobson’s endorsement. Respectfully I apeal to each of you, take a second look at Mike. He truly is a conservative. His platform is sound and as conservative as they get. We need you; we need all of you to get behind Mike Huckabee - a true conservative.
McCain must be really bad when a leader people take seriously will come out and endorse such a sleazy, liberal, Confederate flag-waving bigot as Huckabee.
Plato said about Democracy (and you should pay attention to what he said, because the Greeks invented Democracy) - that it is like a ship.
Imagine a ship which is steered by a small group of people (an elite). It would be convenient for this elite that the passengers do not meddle in the affairs of ship- steering. Passengers should worry about what they are going to eat, what they are going to buy, who won the sports event, what entertainment will be playing, whether they think of themselves as being to the RIGHT of the ship or the LEFT of the ship… and there’s a whole series of issues to determine if you are on the Right or the Left. BUT NONE OF THESE ISSUES actually deal with the steering of the ship or what destination the ship will take. In fact, it would be best that the passengers don’t even know where the ship is going, much less participate in determining where it shall go. Oh yes, and the passengers need to pay taxes so the ship has fuel. So the ship’s PA system (the mass media) frames the debate about all the Right and Left issues and puts forth some chosen candidates for the passengers to elect “one of their own” who will represent their interests when they send him to the front of the ship. It’s all an illusion to give the passengers the impression that they have a CHOICE. Without choice, passengers would revolt. Satisfied that they have made a choice, the passengers get back to their routine of working to pay taxes and buy stuff the people on the PA system tell them they need or will make them feel better. Whenever they need, the ship-steering elite create a crisis, so as to raise more taxes or limit the passenger’s movement on the ship. Of course, all of this is announced loudly and repeatedly on the ships PA system.
So keeping this ship analogy in mind, lets look at our current elections:
One one side you have the LEFT with Obama and Clinton. Both very charming, especially that Obama guy. except both are in the pocket of the people who run the ship (the CFR - google it!). They will sway the people who believe themsleves to be leaning towards the left.
On the other side we have McCain, Romney and Huckabee, all of them also in the pocket of the people who run the ship (once again, the CFR). Here, we have a choice within a choice. See, the people on the Right break down in two groups: Those who are Right and those who are not Right enough.
So Huckabee and Romney are in the race to make sure that the votes that do not go to McCain, will not go to Ron Paul (the only person of integrity who is trying to restore decision-making power to the passengers and who is NOT in the pockets of the CFR). The reason Romney drops out is so that there is no brokered Republican convention. A brokered convention would give Ron paul a platform. Actually, Romney “suspends” his campaign so as not to release his delegates. That’s right, his delegates remain his while Huckabee shifts his message to make sure Ron Paul doesn’t get Romney’s delegates.
The last thing the elite wants is for Ron Paul to go up against McCain one on one. McCain is a mental midget compared to Paul and does not have a consistent voting record on issues that matter like Ron Paul does. Lest McCain be exposed, Huckabee stays in the race.
Obama-McCain , Clinton-McCain, it’s all good. One thing to be avoided at all costs is Paul’s message which says “people, we do not know who is running this ship and where it is really headed”.

Funny thing is these negatives posts are ludicrously false, Huckabee’s record is solid, and so is his reputation. Although it may be an uphill battle, it is not impossible - all this in spite of the media hype and hostility towards Mike. Additionally, as a Northern State (Massachusetts), Catholic (non-evangelical), conservative, the constant harping that Mike Huckabee’s appeal is limited is flat out - wrong! The majority of the people (growing) that support Mike are a varied lot, and one would be hard pressed to find a good many evangelicals in Mass. It is his stand on the issues that has my support; his focus on education (and achievements in Arkansas), his ability to govern (for 10 years plus mind you) and accomplish a good deal without sacrificing his principles with a heavily stacked Democratic legislature is what is most appealing (additionally what stopped me from supporting Mitt Romney in this state - his lack of accomplishment). Also, while campaigning for Mike in Mass. the one thing I found when speaking to members (elected officials) regarding Mike was this: we support him privately but we can’t endorse him as Romney has a lot of friends in the party. (putting them in danger of losing support in elections, down to the municiple level!) I don’t know if they were “pulling my leg”, or serious, but if serious, it would explain the ferver of the party pundits. Is it no doubt that McCain is receiving the endorsements of so many notable Washington elitess? Is it any wonder that people are ignoring them? I’m not terribly excited about the prospect of McCain, but he was “not Romney” for a lot of people. As soon as some realized that Romney might not hold the south (criticle), they jumped and endorsed McCain (as acceptable) thinking Mike’s chances were limited, and underestimating him continually. I will continue to support Mike Huckabee, right through to the nomination process. I also like Lou Dobbs, although I’m not certain he would want to take on the headache of governing this bunch. Actually, it is CNN’s group that brought the most attention to a GOP nominee and shed him in a light that has been almost fair and balanced, unlike similar news sources.
Obama or Clinton would be great for this country and here’s why:
1) I am jealous of people who make more money than me and I want them to pay more taxes so I don’t have to.
2) I want someone to tell me when I have to go to the doctor - I don’t want to pick the doctor because the government will make a better choice than me.
3) I want to pay nothing for my medical care. Someone else should.
4) I want corporations to pay higher taxes too. They make too much money and don’t pay us workers enough. There’s not enough time off, not enough benefits, and I shouldn’t have to pay into my own retirement package.
5) I want someone else to pay for my mortgage when I mismanage my budget or greedily buy a more expensive home than I can reasonably afford.
6) I want the government to get out of the war so the price of oil spirals wildly out of control.
7) I want the government to mandate what kinds of cars the automakers can make so I don’t have such a hard time deciding which vehicle to lease.
I want the government to take conservative talk shows and religious programming off the radio and TV, so I don’t have to change the station or channel.
9) I want the government to tell the schools what my kids should learn about in school.
10) I want women to be able to have abortions and the rich people pay for them so that people can have sex anytime or anyway they want to and we don’t have to be responsible for the consequence
Friends,
Do you want leadership that seeks guidance from the Word of the living God, or from leadership that ignores God and turns inward to flawed and selfish human reasoning?
It is about time FOX news posted something positive about Mike Huckabee! ESCUSE ME, BUT HUCK IS RUNNING FOR THE PRESIDENCY- NOT THE VICE PRESIDENCY!
WE DON’T BUY THE SPIN . . . WE KNOW HUCK CAN WIN!
GO FOR THE GOLD, MIKE! YEAH! HUCKABEE FOR PRESIDENT!!!
Go, Mike, go!!! Huckabee is going to be the next president of the United States. Despite all the unfair, biased, bigoted press coverage. What ever happened to non-biased, respectful, reporting?
Part of Mike’s success has been that real people, actually voting and getting their information from reliable sources (other than Fox News, etc), have come out in great numbers to support him.
In this Age of Information, all the rules are changing in politics. Thank God.
Where was Dobson when he could have made a difference for Huckabee? As much as I would like to see Huckabee win, the odds are stacked against him. So the choice then becomes support whichever Republican gets the nod or vote for Obama or Clinton who will rubber stamp extreme liberal legislation. I am not interested in which candidate is Republican or Democrat. I am interested in which candidate will best protect this nation from terrorists and which candidate will protect my family from liberal intrusions into their lives. Obama or Clinton will not do these things but will instead force liberal agendas in to legislation.
Is Derrick being a wise guy, or is this the agenda of Clinton and Obama?
Thank you, Dr. Dobson. I have to admit I was confused and disheartened as to why you were waiting, but now I understand. Romney and Huckabee were both pro-life and pro-choice, two issues that you hold dearly as many of us do. And Romney (who I personally do not care for) was leading Huckabee. I, like many others have noted, believe in miracles. It is never too late. I will continue to support FOF and again, thanks for your endorsement. You did the right thing and it is never too late for that. God bless you. And, Go Huckabee!
Huckabee proved himself and his followers to be religious BIGOTS, he will NEVER get my vote.
He has nothing to offer outside of the bigoted southern states.
I will vote for Obama or Clinton, rather than “hold my nose and Vote for McCain.
FOX NEWS HOW TRASHY! I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE PEOPLE GET A CHANCE TO VOTE FOR THE PERSON OF THIER CHOICE, FOX TRIES ITS BEST TO DODGE RON PAUL. RON PAUL IS STILL IN THE RUNNING, BUT FOX ONLY REPORTS ON THIER CANIDENT OF CHOICE. THE WAY THE NEWS IS MANIPULATED IS SHAMEFUL ! BUT HISTORY WILL TELL EVEN MORE ON OUR SPECIAL INTEREST NEWS SERVICES. HOW TRASHY !
I’m big on the social issues myself, being a devout and practicing Roman Catholic. But, and this may sound obtuse to some people, I firmly believe the most honest and sincere, open and spiritual man in the race just bowed out.
Also, this race isn’t just about religion… it is a big part for me, but not the whole part. As for Huckabee, he is a good man, a spiritual leader.
Now, ask yourselves who represents your good spiritual values better, John McCain, or Hillary Clinton. Did she not just say to the Californians in her “victory” speech, ” I will represent your values”.
Obviously, she’s already been Californicated.
Hey, I voted for Mitt Romney, but I am 150% behind John McCain right now. 4 years of the Clintons will put ALL OF OUR traditional values into the waste can.
I was going to submit a nasty response about Huckabee, but I don’t want to sound like all of the other brain dead people on the internet that never say anything positive.
Huckabee won’t win because he only won his states by a small margin. When he lost he lost big. He won with ~30% of the vote in 5 states, but lost with only ~10% in the rest of the states. He doesn’t have support outside of the bible belt and he won’t get it. Like it or not, people are suspicious of former religious leaders that step into politics.
Religious bias pure and simple will keep Huckabee out of it (that and his lazy eye). The same flames he fanned against Romney are going to burn his bridge to the candidacy too.
Ironic isn’t it.
In case any of you haven’t read my reasons for voting Obama or Clinton, please scroll up a bit.
We liberals don’t want to be told what right or wrong. We don’t want accountability for our actions, but we sure will track you down if you offend us. And our definition of uniting and working together means our way.
We’re making a big time left this November.
I respect Dobson, but we are just not going to select a presidential candidate, general election we are going to write in. Never will we vote for Mccain Period. Now there are Three Democrats running for President. Obama/ Clinton and Mccain, isn’t that Sad, but Oh so True
Veterans against Mccain;

Dog lovers against Huckabee!
Go McCain! Now, it is time to dump Huckabee. He has served you well. No need to be faithful to him anymore. It’s just politics–remember?
It looks like no matter who wins now we better all learn to speek spanish. Even if they build the great wall of China on our borders more people will be crossing because they know there will be amnesty on the other side. Just look at the people that manage to make it across the ocean from Cuba.
OK gUys there is 983 delegates to be had. THE only way huck can win is have a total blowout in every primary, he has to beat mcLiar by 85%(at least) in every primany! ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! Mcliar has 500+ delegates over huck and the vast majority of the winner taker all states are gone!
Proven, huck has not won a state without high level of evangelicals. ( no offense)
By the way, i doubt anyone will admit it, W.V was given to huck by mcClair and ron paul.
By the next 1-2 weeks mcLiar will have this wrapped up.
To add. In other words. The only way huck can win is, mcLiar has a heat attack or He gets struck by lightning!
[...] Mike Huckabee Receives Personal Endorsement of Dobson [...]
[...] perusal of the major news sites has no headlining information (I found this information on WSJ and Fox Blogs) on Dr. James Dobson’s endorsement late last night of Gov. Mike Huckabee: Dr. James Dobson [...]
If Mitt supporters believe their man holds the key to keeping McCain out of office - then its time for Mitt to endorse Huckabee and throw his delegates to him!
Plain and simple if Mitt really meant what he said about caring for his Country and Party. Don’t just grab your millions and go home Mitt DO SOMETHING to prove you mean what you say!
Huckabee can win but only when republicans get behind him. He is clearly better than McCain, Barack Hussein Obama, and Hillary. Ron Paul would get my vote if he didn’t have a turtle mentality (withdraw into your shell and hide) when it comes to the war on terror.
I believe that the endorsement Mike Huckabee by Dr. James Dobson was one of of great significance and could be what he needed to propel him to the next level.
There is so much riding on these elections and it is time for people to sit down and take an honest look at what is at stake; the very freedoms and values that this country was founded on. This country was founded on the Bible, the very words of God himself. Our Constitution was based upon it, laws were written from it. It has held us together and when difficult times have presented themselves our forefathers, past and present leaders have looked to it for direction.
So you may want to remove “religion” or “God” from the foundation of this country, but when you do the walls of this country will begin to cave in and fall down. After all those walls are built upon a foundation of religion, Bible and God.
Shelby,
I see you listen to alot of propaganda or you are creating it to further your own agenda. Mike Huckabee is the most honest person running for president. A man of integrity! I have to ask you shelby we know what you are against but what exactly are you for?
THE TRUTH:
The Arkansas Ethics Commission created under the reign of Bill Clinton, has been misused as a weapon against Republicans. Governor Huckabee has been unfairly attacked regarding his ethics history while Governor of Arkansas. The overwhelming majority of the complaints were filed in the midst of one of Governor Huckabee’s campaigns, and filed by Democrats to a commission made up of a vast majority of Democrats. The end result of those complaints was a series of negative headlines-and NOTHING else. Here are the facts:
The overwhelming majority of ethics complaints filed against Governor Huckabee in the state of Arkansas were regularly dismissed and / or proven to be frivolous.
It is important to note that many of these complaints were either filed by a member of the Arkansas media with his own agenda or were filed by a Democrat activist using the so-called reporter’s story as the basis for the complaint.
The REAL story is that in the end, despite the many attempts, the only finding of an illegal gift was reversed on appeal.
Mitt Romney meant what he said for his Country and Party. That is why as a Romney supporter–I will never vote for Huckabee. Romney’s speech is willing to suspend his campaign to reunite the party in fighting the war on terrorism. I would rather vote for McCain whom I know will be tough on terrorism. Huckabee will grant clemency to all those in Guantanamo if elected. With that said, I just might still consider voting for Hillary. I don’t trust McCain on other issues. Huckabee is just plain and simple an irritant.
Number six on Judicial Watch’s top ten corrupt politicians is Mike Huckabee:
Governor Huckabee enjoyed a meteoric rise in the polls in December 2007, which prompted a more thorough review of his ethics record. According to The Associated Press: “[Huckabee’s] career has also been colored by 14 ethics complaints and a volley of questions about his integrity, ranging from his management of campaign cash to his use of a nonprofit organization to subsidize his income to his destruction of state computer files on his way out of the governor’s office.” And what was Governor Huckabee’s response to these ethics allegations? Rather than cooperating with investigators, Huckabee sued the state ethics commission twice and attempted to shut the ethics process down.
Some of those ethics complaints were highlighted by many media organizations, one of which was MSNBC and another The Politico.
The ethics commission fined Huckabee $1,000 for failing to report that he paid himself $14,000 from his 1992 U.S. Senate campaign and $43,000 from his 1994 lieutenant governor’s campaign.
Huckabee also failed to disclose $23,500 he received from a nonprofit organization set up to handle his speaking engagements.
According to Huckabee’s disclosure reports, he accepted more than 300 gifts worth at least $130,000, ranging from $3,700 cowboy boots to a $600 chainsaw and $250 worth of dental care.
Those are just a small sample of some of the ethics complaints listed against Huckabee.
Other complaints involve Action America, more undisclosed gifts, his Governors Mansion, his wedding registry, and computer drivers.
Huck a bee is a LOSER! Hee will meet his creator and judge and be set straight on his anti-mormon rhetoric!
Good luck Huckabee your canidate is a loser
Just so everyone knows, Dr. Dobson’s endorsement will be too late. The reason he’s come out now, is because Mitt bought and donated a lot of money to many of the profamily organizations. So now that Mitt dropped out, it’s safe for Dr. Dobson to endorse Huckabee because there is no longer a conflict of interest. It’s sad to say, but the right has been bought and bribed and it may cost us a decent Conservative in the Whitehouse.
Oh for the full story click here, it’s a doozie!

Arkansas, the writer, is a strange bird. He claims to be a Romney supporter who might support McCain because Huckabee would allegedly free the Gitmo crowd. Except, Huckabee’s views on Gitmo are identical to McCain’s. You should get our more often.
Then, he claims he could never support Huckabee, because he’s got ethical problems, but he could support Hillary Clinton. Does anybody see any irony in that?
I think we have here is a Hillary Plant - don’t buy any of this nonsense, this is just the same ‘ol Clinton destructo machine at it again.
“Huck a bee is a LOSER! Hee will meet his creator and judge and be set straight on his anti-mormon rhetoric!”
Would that be the creator who is married and who also has a father who has a father?
Would that be the creator of whom it is claimed that he had two sons, Jesus and Satan?
Or would it be the one and only Creator who is the Savior, the only everlasting uncreated and begotten Son of God? The one whom we shall worship forever and to whom there will never be equals, including ourselves. That Creator?
When Huckabee becomes McCain’s Vice Presidential pick I hope conservative Huckabee supporters pick McCain/Huckabee over Clinton/Clark in the fall. Romney was right when he said Clinton will surrender to the terrorists. Clinton is also pro-abortion and will appoint Supreme Court justices who will continue the killing of innocent babies in the womb. I’d rather have pro-life, give the terrorists hell McCain then pro-abortion, surrender to the terrorists Clinton. That’s the bottom line Mr. Dobson.
Mitt Romney only suspended his campaign. He is still a viable candidate. So don’t go to the polls empty handed. Vote Mitt Romney.
It’s about time Dobson officially jumped on someone’s bandwagon. But “Dan” is accurate in that Dobson was throwing money at pro-family groups and since ex-liberal Romney dropped out, Dobson isn’t scared to back another candidate. Two things are evident in this scenario which are…1) Dobson is a prostitute for money no different than Hannity and Rush and 2) Huckabee is the right choice for the remainder of the delegate process. Anyway, this race isn’t over and the Huckabee will now take Texas and some other states and until the “fat lady sings”, in other words….until Hillary goes down crying after she loses….this thing is far from over.
