A win is a win………………if find it ironic how no one mentions that MITT is the only one who is competitive in ALL states. OK Huck wins some south, McCain with the moderates and in the NE (would go democratic in a general anyway) MITT wins a state, they say, oh well, he should have won. Huckabee CAN’T win by only competing in a few southern states and McCain’s with his liberal views and nasty attitude won’t be able to win. MITT has cross the board support……………….it would have been interesting to see a two man race. GO MITT…………we are with you!!! You are the best ALL around candidate and the only one that could help the Republican party. Thank you to you and your family for all your hard work.

I wonder what the popular vote is to date for each candidate. I know the deligate count is what maters but I can’t find the popular vote totals anywhere. My quess is Mitt is at the top.

Go Mitt…no squirell eaters and libs in the white house.

Just as ALL the intelligent people predicted, Huck is splitting the vote. I hope everyone is happy. If McTraitor gets the pseudo-GOP nomination, I hope Romney runs Independent. I’ll be there until the end.

It’s also telling that McTraitor is winning all the democrat states-how fitting!

I will never be able to support John McCain as President, Vice President, or Secretary

Clinton took in $823,087 from registered lobbyists and members of their firms in 2007 and the second-biggest recipient was

McCain, who took in $416,321, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a Washington-based group which tracks political giving. Barack Obama, Clinton’s rival for the Democratic nomination, doesn’t take money from registered lobbyists, although he received $86,282 from employees of firms that lobby, according to the center.

McCain has 26 registered lobbyists as campaign advisers or fundraisers compared with 11 for Clinton and none for Obama, according to review of records compiled by Public Citizen, a Washington-based group that favors stronger disclosure laws for lobbyists.

Even as they pledge to rein in special interests, the leading Democratic and Republican candidates are relying on lobbyists to bring in campaign cash by raising money from other donors, a technique known as bundling.

“These bundlers and advisers are central to the financial success of top presidential candidates,” said Sheila Krumholz, executive director of the Center for Responsive Politics. “As such, they will essentially carry with them an IOU from the campaign.”

Lobbyist Bundlers

Clinton’s total from lobbyists is a fraction of what they raise on her behalf; her campaign doesn’t disclose which donations are brought in by lobbyist bundlers.

McCain, 71, an Arizona Republican who led the successful 2002 effort to ban corporate and union donations to the political parties, counts as campaign co-chairman former Representative Tom Loeffler of Texas. Loeffler now runs his own lobbying firm, which was paid $2.5 million by such clients as AT&T Inc. and Southwest Airlines.

Last week, former Senator Phil Gramm of Texas, vice chairman of UBS Securities LLC who is registered to lobby for the bank, campaigned in Georgia for McCain.

On the campaign trail, McCain stresses his anti-lobbyist bona fides.

`Special Interests’

“I upset the special interests and Washington lobbyists when I fought for ethics reform and to stop union bosses and corporations from writing million-dollar checks to political campaigns,” he said in New Hampshire in November.

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, 60, has contrasted his experience running a business and a state government with McCain’s tenure in Washington, and has vowed to rein in the influence of lobbyists.

Like former President Ronald Reagan, “I’d go to Washington as an outsider — not owing favors, not lobbyists on every elbow,” Romney said at a Jan. 30 debate.

And Romney, too, has registered lobbyists in campaign posts.

Former U.S. Representative Vin Weber, whose firm was paid $3.6 million by such clients as EBay Inc. and General Dynamics Corp., is Romney’s policy chairman. Other advisers include Ron Kaufman, chairman of Washington-based Dutko Worldwide, which was paid $11.2 million by such companies as Allstate Corp. and Target Corp.

I am absolutely dead from staying up all night watching the news. As the Super Tuesday results streamed in one after another, far into the early morning, I sat there in complete amassment. I was hopeful that Mitt Romney would do well but I was not expecting the Huckabomb fallout to be so definite. I felt the winds of momentum, and hope, begin to dissipate as I watched the support, albeit misguided in my opinion breaking for McCainiac, and the Huckster. Yes Mitt Romney still beat the Huckabobo, and won more delegates, but the fact is McCainiac pounded Romney by nearly two to one. Wow what were we thinking America? I don’t know what the future holds but if McCainiac continues onto the nomination I can’t say that I feel particularly good about it. I believe that the Republican Party just handed the White House to the Democrats in 2008.
Perhaps I’m being a little too reactionary; honestly I haven’t been able to process this information very well, and it might take me a few days to see through the stars, but last night was a sucker punch form hell no doubt about it. Lets be frank about this Mitt might be running again in 2012 not as an incumbent but as a Washington outsider all over again. I believe if McCainiac wins the nomination, the party will have a serious buyer’s remorse, and deservedly so. The silver lining here after all might just be a Clinton or an Obama White house after all. I am not saying that I want the Democrats in the Commander in Chiefs Seat, but if they do get it, it will because of my liberal friends McCainiac, and the Huckster.
In closing if Mitt Romney feels like he can still win, and if he decides to continue on to the end, he will continue to have my full unwavering support. Consider this; it still takes 1191 out of a total of 2,381 delegates to win the nomination. It’s not over till the fat lady sings.
What do you think?
