I’m voting for Clinton in Arkansas. Regardless of how tonight turns out, I’m proud of Clinton this past week. She didn’t stoop to Obama’s level and play the “Voting for x is really voting for y” field that he played. She didn’t attack him, but she defended against his attacks. She had a great town hall that was ignored by the press. She’s outlined her plans, and she’s run on the issues. That is a great thing, and I thank her for bringing some honor back to these elections by running on issues, not on rhetoric and fluff.

Who will do the worst? Mike Gravel, who is actually still in the race. He actually had some great views on the country, but he was crazier than a fox. He may win some in Alaska, but I don’t think he’s on many ballots!

I think Hillary will win at least 10 of 22 states for Democrats. If all goes well, she’ll win 12. If all goes really well, I’d like to hear she wins at least 900 delegates. Obama will win around 800 or so.

Republicans? McCain is riding the wave. I hope for Romney, just to shut up Obama’s “I can beat McCain!” line. I think McCain will ultimately win, but Romney will be able to claim enough to stay in. Huckabee, from my native state, will continue his 3rd place run. Unless Ron Paul manages to squeeze in, then Huckabee will finish 4th. Really, the race isn’t who will win 1 and 2. It’s who will win 3 and 4.

I believe Gov. Romney is the only viable Republican candidate. Those polls that say McCain could beat Hillary or Obama are ridiculous.

If the Dems select Hillary, she is smarter, better organized, more articulate, and had better ideas than McCain.

If the Dems select Obama, then there is no way a 25+ year senator will win. Plus Obama is also smarter, he’s a better orator, and is more appealing then McCain.

McCain is a one act dog and pony show. He knows nothing about the economy, immigration, health care, or foreign relations for that matter. You think he will fix Social Security? He is arrogant, smug and I hot-tempered. I do not trust him with the nuke button.

Romney is not the perfect Republican candidate, but with his flaws he outshines McCain.

Wow, I had a weird dream last night. A Hillary-Obama ticket. That isn’t a dream team, it is a NIGHTMARE TEAM!!!! Just what this country needs in the screwed up world, two super liberals.

I voted for Ron Paul in connecticut this morning.
You might be saying “who is ron Paul?”.

He is the candidate that the media has taken a real pleasure in either ignoring or simply dismissing. The good news is that the internet allows an average citizen to research without the opinions of televiosion and print pundits having undue influence. Sound bites eventually give way to real thoughts and analysis. dumbing down starts to give way ot informed citizens.

Who could have guessed?

We need a change and I think Romney’s the one. He can work with world leaders and will impress them instead of yelling at them with four-letter words like McCain.

Romney took no pay from Massachusetts and only $1 from the Olympics. He’s spending his own money on the race. I believe he wants this job not for power or money, but to be of service to our country. I support him.

Congratulations, Maine! Thanks for choosing a man with conservative values for America.
Mitt Romney’s successful business experience, successful Olympic experience, and successful state governing success set him above all other candidates. His vision of using economic strength to combat terrorist and his Apollo plan for energy independence are also set him above all other candidates. He is a real leader who can lead American to build a strong economic and therefore a strong nation! Hope American people will elect Mitt Romney, the only competent candidate, to be our president.

How could any moderates and liberals backs war monger McCain. McCain wants to bomb Iran and stay in Iraq for 100 years and promised for more wars. McCain says he wants interest rates to be ZERO out of complete ignorance for how interest rates affect the economy. I’d like to see him say that to retirees on a fixed income. McCain want 10 million illegal immigrants to stay permanently and legal immigrants who can vote do not support it. How could this country be secure if he is in power??? If McCain is nominee, as a republican I would rather vote Clinton than McCain. As least we know Clinton has some intelligence and lead the booming economic. McCain will lead this country to a total ruin with his lack of intelligence and no executive experience. Mitt Romney is an expert in economics and finance and is the man we need as president.

If anyone can rescue the economy at this point, it would have to be Mitt. The US is $53 trillion in debt, that is $400K per household. The dollar is becoming useless and the Euro is now becoming the credible currency. Along with the national debt, most citizens are also deeply in debt. Tommorow the market is likely going to take a dump. If we don’t have a good economy you can forget foreign policy, fighting wars, or healthcare, funding for top education. The economy needs to be front and center, not religion, steriotypes and other trivial things.

It’s time to remind the public about the Keating 5. Here the banks are falling appart and the economy is going into recession and we want to reward a slime ball like McCain who was wrapped up with Charles Keating, the guy who tanked Lincoln Savings & Loan, driving a previous recession? Go figure. Given what this did to the economy in the early 90’s, McCain should have just taken a baseball bat to the knee caps of the American people. Mitt is too kind to this power hungry geriatric sellout!
John McCain has allowed countless billions of American dollars to be siphoned out of this country into Mexico alongside the countless billions of taxpayer dollars spent on health care, education, welfare, crime and mortgage bailouts for illegal aliens. John McCain, in his support for illegal immigration, has allowed Al Qaeda terrorist to use Mexican drug smuggling tunnels to enter the United States and plot to attack Fort Huachuca in southern Arizona. This litany of positions contrary to conservatism and American interests could go on and on.

Comment by Glenn Hamilton

I just returned from voting for Mike Huckabee (I am an independent conservative in Arkansas). A note to Mitt Romney — a vote for Huckabee is a vote for Huckabee, not McCain. Romney obviously doesn’t understand politics if he can’t figure out that he is NOT our only alternative. Some of us may want this contest to go to the convention rather than let McCain or Romney have the nomination.

Comment by TJ

I’m voting for Obama. Although, I like McCain, he’s a war hawk and will use his sense of patriotic duty to keep us fighting and would probably bring back the draft. Hillary follows the status quo, she calculated voting for the Irag war and it didn’t work out, she calculated voting for the Iran nation guard resolution, once again give GWB a blank check. Her judgement is off and her ways will keep this country divided, with the stubborn politics that she brings. Rominy is a joke, flip-flopper, say anything. Huckabee, has no judgement on Foreign Policy stuff, so he’s out.

Comment by John

Will not vote today. Voted absentee last week.
When Dem’s say they fear McCain and not Romney it is hard to tell if they are being truthful.
Hillary vs McCain or Obama vs Romney would provide the closest race in the Presidential election.
All I know is that in the end we will get the President we deserve. That given, everyone should be praying hard that we get the right one.

Comment by Stacy

This will be the first election since I turned 18 that I will NOT vote. I’m letting the RNC know that they cannot put up candidates that stray from the party platform and expect their faithful to show up. I’d rather have 4 years under a Democrat true to their platform than 4 years under a moderate that corrupts mine.

Comment by Earl

OK Glenn,

Let’s compromise. A vote for Huckabee is a vote for both Huckabee and McCain. You KNOW that Huckabee is going nowhere. The man has NO money! He can’t get his word out without money. Just ask Duncan Hunter. That guy had good ideas, but without the money no one could hear him. The only person who has the money to compete with McVain is Romney. I know people don’t like him. That is fine, but the truth is, there is NO way that Huckabee can compete with McCain anywhere without $.

Comment by Mark

I caucused for Dr. Paul in Maine, I am an alternate delegate.

He is our hope for a brighter future and a reversal of a disastrous foreign policy.

I voted Ron Paul!! Principles, integrity, and intelligence, what more could you ask for!

Romney’s campaign turned McCain in this morning for violating the same campaign laws he sponsored concerning robo-calling in Oklahoma. Can’t wait to see if how this turns out.

Comment by Susan NYC

I voted for Romney today in NY - or at least I thnk I did. Voting Republican in NYC is a lot like that check card commercial where a mom and kid are in a toy store, everything is happy, peppy music is playing, everything is working like a well-oiled machine until the mom pulls out a check book and everything screaches to a halt.

When I signed in to vote, I had to announce twice that I was a Republican, the poll worker didn’t get it the first time. Then I was given a red card and directed to the machine. The poll worker who gave me the card yelled over my shoulder to the poll worker manning the machine - “She’s a Republican.” I swear you could hear a pin drop.

The machine worker did something to the machine then directed me to pull the big lever to the right, cast my vote by flipping a switch, then pull the big lever to the left. I pulled the lever to the right. Fine. Tried to vote for Romney, the switch wouldn’t budge. Tried, some of the other Republican candidates, no luck. Stuck my head out of the booth and told the machine guy that the machine wasn’t working. He had to go get help.

Another poll worker arrived, the conversation wend something like this: “She’s a Republican and the machine froze up when she tried to vote.” “What?” “She’s a R E P U B L I C A N” “Oh.” They fiddled with the machine. The line of voters got longer (each voter clutching a green voting card - Democrats). After quite a bit of fiddling behind the machine, they asked me to try again. The original machine worker was told to make a note on my card that the machine froze and subsequently skipped a vote. So, I tried again, it seemed to work, I left the booth to a big sigh of relief from the Democrats waiting in line, and I now have an asterisk next to my name in the voting rolls (although whether it’s because the machine broke or because I’m a Republican I don’t know) but as I left the building I swear I could hear the peppy music start up again.

Comment by Califorication

I voted for the only honest candidate in the race, Ron Paul.

Comment by Jay

Just returned from voting, it was a pleasant experience and I was out in minutes. The drive took longer than it took to vote, as usual.

I voted Hillary Clinton, simply because she actually has a plan. She knows the issues, knows what she wants to do, and can bring change from the Bush years. She doesn’t have the nod of institution leaders like Ted Kennedy and John Kerry, either, which is a plus. She also made the same judgment call I did in her votes on Iraq and Iran, but that doesn’t make me unable to judge. It makes me trusting of our government, something I will always be. She trusted the President. I trusted the President. That is nothing to be ashamed of, despite what the fans of hind-sight and non-committal speeches say.

If I could have voted in the Republican race, I would have voted McCain. However, our primary was closed. McCain most closely represents, on the Republican side, what I’d like to see. Of course, this isn’t exactly saying much as I disagree on just about everything.

Comment by Bosco

The only good thing about this primary coming to an end soon is the fact that we don’t have to look at Ted or Caroline Kennedy anymore. What acouple of hypocrites! The Kennedy’s are one of the most corrupt political families in the history of the United States and everyone embraces Ted as if they are trying to stay off his hit list. People figure he got away with homicide once and they don’t want to be next… What a joke this election is. With all the celebrities coming out I bet there is a Hollywood movie coming in the near future! The people have let Obama turn this election into a circus… step right up folks!!

Comment by Jason

I voted for Ron Paul this morning in Cali and I feel good. This is the first election in a long time that I voted my principles. I swore not to sell out and vote for a liberal McCain, Huckabee, or Romney. And I didn’t sell out like most of you. It angers me that most of your preach limited government, personal property rights, gun rights, free market economics, pro-life, states rights, end to government run school, personal choice in health care, a strong dollar, massive reduction in taxes, and putting an end to illegal immigration, but you sell you conservative souls because you want to keep fighting a war in Iraq. A little self analysis may help you. I hope you’re happy with the results.

I was going to vote for Obama today but the name Rezko kept echoing in my head, it just felt very uncomfortable. So, I went with the safe vote which was Hillary Clinton.

I’m voting for Hillary today - because as a highly educated person, I feel that we need the person with the most intelligence, insight and capabilities to get things done.

And I am elated that we can finally break that very thick, glass ceiling today…

Btw, I’m an independent (I voted for Bush sr.) and I have to say, I respect the fact that Fox is not biased toward Obama the way CNN is! It’s ridiculous.

Comment by Southern girl

Aaron Bruns is a sexist and he should be embedded with a womens prison facility. Maybe that will help give him an attitude adjustment.

Comment by David Colorado Springs

Sadly, I don’t full heartedly support any of the cannidates but I will be voting for Romney. I have been disappointed by McCain, for all his talk about change, his campaign is all about the insiders pull. I think we need to try someone who isn’t a Washington insider- if history is any judge of future results- once a Washington insider always a Washington insider.

Comment by LaMond

Lately I have been hearing a lot about Oprah backing Barack Obama and not Hilary Clinton, I recall her saying about 18 months ago on her talk show that she would like to see Barack runs for President and if he did she would support him. So, why does this make her a trader o her gender? Last time I looked we were voting for for we think can do the best job not who fits into a same gender same race category.
On another note why is her not being out there in the public eye campaigning for Barack Obama day in and day a problem for the public? Does she not deserve her own life? Just my thoughts!
LaMond,
Murrells Inlet, SC

Comment by Kristina

Even to this moment, I’m torn between the Republican candidates. I wish there were an Independent who would rise up and be a blend between all of them, Democrat and Republican. I’ve even considered not voting at all, but that would make me feel too guilty! I’m probably going to vote for Huckabee, even though I think McCain will win the nomination.

Comment by Jay

Sarah, it’s uncanny isn’t it? I once thought that CNN was less biased than Fox. Though Fox News is still rather anti-Clinton (Just look at Mr. Bruns’ articles), they at least do not overdo it for Obama. I’m glad, though, that Clinton has run. She’s shown me that I can have faith in our election process, despite the way the press has acted this time.

Comment by keith baxter

Ron Paul was called, “The most honest man in Washington.” by none other than Sen. John McCain. At last a position of McCain I can agree with. I voted absentee for Ron Paul in California.

Comment by Andrea

Dr.Ron Paul is who I voted for. I made a vote today for FREEDOM and the Constitution. I voted today to end this horrible un-called for war, and to bring a sense of security to our very own nation. I voted to end this economic crisis and get to the roots of our problems here in America. Bloated Federal Programs that take away from the Amercian people and keep the poor poor, while giving the rich all power. We are all citizens in this country and should be free to live our own lives the best way WE see fit-not the best way GOVERNMENT sees fit for us. FREEDOM is my vote.

Comment by Jay

LaMond, no one is saying Oprah has betrayed her gender. That is something started by Oprah herself. The reality is that no one cares who she’s endorsed. She can endorse anyone she wants, much like I can endorse who I want.

However, she is clearly manipulating her audience of women. She’s acting like people are treating her like the devil, when very few people have even given thought to her. If anything, people are saying she supported Obama because of her race.

Comment by Princess Di

Oprah is only backing Obama because she wants him to be the first black President. That’s her choice, but in the meantime she disgraced women all around the world. Why didn’t she just stab us all in the back? No more Oprah shows for me…NO Thanks !!

Comment by Jay

Well, I take that back. Princess Di is saying that when she really shouldn’t. Oprah can endorse whoever she wants, the real problem is when she attempts to make that endorsement into a net to catch more voters just because she’s Oprah.

Comment by Dave, Chicago, IL

Good luck with the decision Kristina.

Comment by Weda

I’m voting for Mike Huckabee, because I’m not going to let the media or the Washington insiders tell me who I should vote for, or I will lose my vote. I’m going to vote for the best candidate anyway.

Comment by Sarah

Jay, I am shocked, to say the least. I used to hear Fox say “liberal bias” and think they were wrong, but watching the way CNN has covered the Democratic primary has left me completely disheartened. I am amazed that we all (myself included) can fall for such chicanery.

And as you say, at least Fox is equally harsh (I don’t always agree but at least it’s out there, like on Hannity and Colmes).

I am on pins and needles today and hoping that despite the bias, that our voices (our true voices, not the ones that follow the media-leader) can be heard.

Comment by Lamar

Obama is the only real choice. This country needs to come together to solve its problems…Alot of people are in love with the past. This is not the 90’s people. Its a new day and we need a new kind of politician…..Change is in the air and that change is BARACK OBAMA.

VOTE OBAMA!!

Comment by Sarah

Change how? By doing what? By getting the “old” democrats to endorse him to help him if he becomes president?

WAKE UP PEOPLE! I am not about the 90s, I’m a young woman with a PhD who is going for Hillary because she has the intelligence AND experience to get things done. I love the message of change and hope, but if I walked into my work and said “today I’m going to change things” and didn’t have the background or experience to do it, I’d be useless!

Give him time to learn the job, please, for the sake of our country!

Comment by Bob

Why should I vote for any of these individuals. I do not trust one of them so how could I place my vote at all. This is the first time in over twentyfive years I will not vote. All five of these individuals change their mind when the wind blows, they all look out fot the rich. Not one of these individuals is trying to do anything for the poor.

Comment by Scott

Well my story is a bit odd. Three years ago I changed my registration from GOP to Democrat in protest of the efforts to ban gay marriage (which I view as an unbelievable civil rights violation) since my state has a closed primary I could not vote for McCain who I actually support so I voted for Hillary as I view her as a weaker opponent against McCain than Obama would be and my state will go overwhelmingly for McCain anyhow.

Comment by Jason

Bob you said all 5 of these candidates? What about Ron Paul. He has never changed? Look it up. I challenge you to find one inconsistency in his record. you may disagree with him on his policies, but changing his mind is not something he does. (He can’t change his mind because he uses the constitution as a guide).

Comment by Kathy from PA

Bob, there are SIX individuals in the race.

Consider Ron Paul.

Comment by Parker

I WAS leaning heavily toward Huckabee. McCain is just too old (in years and policy positions). Romney too inconsistent (Reminds me of the corporate weenies and their buzz words). But after looking at Huckabee’s drop in the polls, decided to vote Obama. As a moderate conservative, I would rather see Obama in the office. I know that sounds strange, but if your going to lose (which true conservatives alread have), we might as well get someone that will throw us a bone now and then. I am certain Clinton will ignore the republicans and there is a chance Obama will not. I suspect you will see more “Obamacans” in the days to come.

Comment by Bob

He is not going any where.

Comment by Bob

Fox News only keeps saying five, and that is all the keep showing pictures of. It goes back to trust.

Comment by Sarah

Parker - Obama has the most liberal voting record in the senate. Clinton is more of a moderate. And you think he will throw you a bone? I voted for Bush Sr. and consider myself an independent. When I looked at their voting records, it’s clear. Have you done the same?

Comment by Born in the USA

I voted for Romney today. He is about the only candidate left who won’t give our country away to illegals. If you vote for the rest don’t complain when the single family house next door has sixteen families living in it. Don’t cry when your forced to speak spanish on your job, and hell don’t whine about your neighborhood starting to look and sound like a third world country.

Comment by Zach

Huckabee in Missouri! It’s the primary and whether he wins or not I’m voting for what I believe in. Hillary and Obama can’t claim the white house today, but rest assured I will be voting against either of them in November and hopefully voting for Huckabee at the same time. Idealistic isn’t it?

Comment by Bob

Romney is for no border control, and what is wrong with speaking spanish. Been married to one for over seventeen years. I served in the Marine Corps, and she served in the Air Force.

Comment by John

Sorry Bob but if you wish to have someone who will try to do anything for the poor you should be voting for Hillary. Look forward to socialized medicine, increased taxes and expanded entitlement programs.

I voted absentee, I wish I could have gone to the polls today.

Since a lot of luminaries like Oprah, The Arnold, Walker and Texas Ranger seem to be endorsing a candidate, I am going to endorse a write in of Colin Powell.

Unfortunately he is too intelligent and street smart to run for a public office…sad too…

Comment by Jason

Bob, Fox News hates Ron Paul. That’s why they’re only saying 5. And do you only vote for candiates that are “going somewhere.” How about voting your principles and be proud that you didn’t sell out. If Ron Paul doesn’t fit your principles thats a different story.

Beware of Romney, I lived in MA when he was governor - when he was pro-choice and pro-gay (how else would he get elected in a very very blue state? think about i)

I say this even though he is the much weaker candidate against the Democrats, but it is the truth.

A citizen’s vote or endorsement for president is just that (one citizen’s opinion as to whom he/she supports). I think that women around the nation are giving Oprah too much Flack about who she chooses to support personally. To those couch potatoes I say GET A JOB a quit living vicariously through Oprah Winfrey. I’m an African American Man that use to be a huge Clinton fan, until Bubba decided to treat a viable candidate as if he were unworthy of the Oval Office. I have Two Problems with Hillary Clinton. 1. She claims to have 35yrs of experience, thus making her the better candidate. No one running for president for the very first time has any more experience than anyone else running for president for the very first time! 2. She also claims to have been working on her health care plan for a vast majority of that time, which begs the question. During the time Bubba was in the white house doing alleged great thing for our country, Why didn’t he as president think enough of her health care plan to get it passed thru a House and Senate that he obviously was able to penetrate. Seems to me that Hillary can only not cross bipartisan lines to get things done she can’t even muster up the support in her own bedroom. If Barrack is not our nominee John McCain will be our next president. THINK BEFOR YOU VOTE PEOPLE

I’m leaving my home in Redwood City, CA in a few minutes to vote for Ron Paul.
I’ll spend the rest of the day rallying on his behalf. Why would I take a day off work to promote a candidate the FOX and the mainstream media has written off months ago? Because we CAN make a difference, we can still support the constitution as a viable document. If you believe in the constitution, you MUST support RON PAUL. It’s funny how folks who’ve posted here think Mitt Romney is going to turn around the economy. But he still supports the war. So he still supports borrowing from China to finance it. It’s interesting that of all the candidates, Paul is the only one who has voted the same way in ten terms in congress. He says the same things he was saying 20 years ago.
I’d bet that if alive today, Jefferson, Franklin, Washington would be casting their vote just like me, for RON PAUL.
