I COULD NEVER VOTE FOR MIKE HUCKABEE DUE TO WHAT I’VE LEARNED ABOUT HIM!

Many would question whether Mike Huckabee is a true conservative; I would question whether he is even a true CHRISTIAN! For an ex-Baptist preacher, the man sure has a potty mouth! Re: where to put the flag pole if anyone disagreed with his position on the Confederate flag, and also considering the risqué music/song lyrics used by Huckabee and his band, Capitol Offense. Imagine the pastor of your church singing H*y Tonk Woman or Devil With a Blue Dress (song lyrics would be offensive to many) (www.irdial.com/blogdial/?p=909).

Huckabee has a history of corruption and lack of ethics and is one of two republican presidential candidates on the list of TOP TEN MOST CORRUPT POLITICIANS of 2007 (www.judicialwatch.org). One example, after being married for 30 years, Huckabee set up a WEDDING registry at Target for him and his wife to receive gifts for their house. The wedding registry was a way to avoid ethics laws prohibiting gifts to politicians.

Huckabee has also spawned a son who stoned and hung a dog to death. David was fired as a Boy Scout’s counselor for disobeying the “Be Kind” rule. Daddy Huck hindered the police investigation of David for animal cruelty. This should bring pause to anyone thinking of voting for Huckabee. Family animal cruelty issues often times indicate other problems as well. (www.newsweek.com)

His personality is described at Wikipedia as petty, thin-skinned, self-righteous, and somewhat vindictive (www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Huckabee).

He could never win in a general election. Imagine his Confederate flag flap being played over and over in the Dem’s TV ads. And he wants to amend the Constitution to ban abortions and gay marriage. This would alienate too many moderates and independents. A VOTE FOR HUCKABEE IS A VOTE FOR McCAIN!

We need MITT ! Please vote for the wise choice!

Mike Huckabee claims that Romney is being a big ol’ meany by suggesting that a vote for Mike is a vote for McCain. He then goes into tyrades against Romney while saying McCain is a true conservative - even though Huckabee has also been labeled a liberal by the conservative base.
Huckabee is a fool. To use his own over-used lame cliche, Mitt “is receiving all the flack and must be over the target”. If Huckabee REALLY believes that he is a viable third candidate, why the heck isn’t he going against the “clear” front-runner, John McCain? Why does he attack Mitt if Mitt isn’t the likely winner?

Because, Mike is either a complete idiot or he really would rather see a liberal who considered switching parties as recently as the last election win the nomination than a true conservative who even the Evangelicals he should be winning are flocking around, simply because that true conservative is a Mormon.

Mike needs to rethink what it means to be a Christian, an honest person, and a person who cares about the country rather than his own political career. The main sin Christ preached against was hypocricy - and Mike is full of it….hell is full of them…

McCain does not have a single conservative voice supporting him. He has been called a liberal, a liar, and a flip flopper by every authoritative conservative voice. And yet he whines that Romney is the source of this abuse, even though Romney has only factually portrayed his spotty liberal record, a record he currently wishes he could sweep under the rug as the Clintons would.

America, use your heads and don’t listen to the liberal media polls which have lost all credibility throughout this election. Follow your hearts and research the candidates. If you claim to be a conservative or a true Republican you only have one clear choice:
VOTE FOR MITT ROMNEY.

Please all conservatives rally around Mitt. We need each other now more than ever. Conservatives certainly do not want to follow McCain to the depths of the sea (news for you he would bail out and watch us all go down). McAmnesty is no conservative folks.

Many Thompson (a large %), Huckabee and Giuliani supporters have moved over to Mitt. The numbers keep growing by the day (including big endorsements). Please to all conservatives, look at this logically and support the greater cause. I know it is hard to move past your guy, but it is our only chance to stop McCain. Surely no true conservative wants McCain to lead our party to the left (or center at best).

I know you will feel like hey why don’t you just support my guy Mike? Well if truly believed that Mike could win (not based on hype but real numbers/logic) and he was the better representative of my conservative values (not just social but the full deal) I would. I like Mike the person but not Mike the politician.

Sure Mitt is not perfect (no one is), he has made mistakes in his life. However, he admitted his mistakes and changed them. He has proven to me that he is committed to his conservative values (which are also mine). He is successful (both in business and his personal life). He has a great education and has wonderful family whom he honors, loves and protects. McCain has not (what sort of a man cheats on and leaves his wife – think about it). McCain also has a lot of money. However, he did not earn it he married into it.

So I’m asking one last time, please consider the greater cause and spend a little time today before you vote to talk to some Romney supporters and learn why we believe (know) Mitt is the right choice. No hype just look at who he is and what he represents. I have done this with all the candidates and picked Mitt in the end. I’m confident if you do this you will come to the same conclusion like millions of others have (including other past Huckabee supporters).

Mitt Romney is without a doubt in the best position to beat McCain. Mitt won 4 States he has 92 Dels to McCains 97. Mitt has attracted the entire conservative base (including a large percentage of the Christian/Evangelical vote). Give Mitt another chance.

We need your help and would welcome you to the team.

Please Vote today (Super Tuesday) for Conservatism - Vote for Mitt Romney!!!

Republicans don’t waste your vote on McCain or Huckabee - Vote for Hillary. Better her in the White House that McClame or Huckaphony. McCain is more liberal than Hillary. At least Hillary is promising to end the war. McCain is promising more war in the future and will not bring back jobs in America. Be wise when you go out and vote today.

Cast an informed, intelligent vote.

Don’t contribute to the Beltway establishment problem by succumbing to media influence or populist endorsements.

The candidate most aligned with the US Constitution is the best prospect for POTUS.

I COULD NEVER VOTE FOR ROMNEY DUE TO WHAT I’VE LEARNED ABOUT HIM!

“Romney ran against Senator Edward M. Kennedy in 1994. During a debate, Romney declared: ‘I believe that abortion should be safe and legal in this country. I have since the time that my mom took that position when she ran in 1970 as a US Senate candidate. I believe that since Roe v. Wade has been the law for 20 years we should sustain and support it.’ ”
(NOTE: Romney has supported abortion since before the 1972 Roe v. Wade ruling!)
- Boston Globe, 3/2/2006

Romney campaigned for Governor of Massachusetts as a pro-choice candidate, and was endorsed by a pro-abortion political group
In 2002, Romney responded to the National Abortion Rights Action League’s candidate survey: ”I respect and will protect a woman’s right to choose. This choice is a deeply personal one. Women should be free to choose based on their own beliefs, not mine and not the government’s. The truth is, no candidate in the governor’s race in either party would deny women abortion rights.” Notably, Romney refused to answer the candidate questionnaire sent to him by Massachusetts Citizens for Life.
- Boston Globe, 7/3/2005 During the 2002 governor’s race, Romney’s platform stated, “As Governor, Mitt Romney would protect the current pro-choice status quo in Massachusetts. No law would change. The choice to have an abortion is a deeply personal one. Women should be free to choose based on their own beliefs, not the government’s.”
- Romney’s 2002 campaign website
In February 2005, The American Spectator observed of Romney, “He is pro-choice and, aside from the marriage debate, generally in agreement with gay-rights advocates.”
- American Spectator, 2/23/2005
In March, 2005, Boston’s leading homosexual newspaper, Bay Windows, told its readers that Romney’s pro-gay record belies his new-found “conservatism”:
“Governor Romney has been touring the country in the past few weeks, courting anti-gay right-wingers in South Carolina, Missouri, and Utah with speeches designed to show that he is firmly in their camp. Yet a look at Romney’s record shows that his Rick Santorum drag act is a relatively new phenomenon.”
- Bay Windows, 3/3/2005

Romney twice sought and received the endorsement of the homosexual Log Cabin Republican Club
Both times Romney ran for public office - in 1994 running for US Senate against Ted Kennedy and in 2002 running for Governor of Massachusetts - he sought and received the formal endorsement of the Log Cabin Republican (LCR) Club PAC. This is the same group that in 2004 spent $1 million nationally in key swing states on TV ads that attacked President Bush for supporting a federal Marriage Protection Amendment.
In his 1994 US Senate campaign, Romney actually competed with his Republican primary opponent, John Lakian, for the Log Cabin Club’s endorsement! Here’s how Bay Windows described it:
But what struck the gay GOP during that campaign, according to Massachusetts Log Cabin Republicans (LCR), was Romney’s accessibility to and comfort within the local gay community. Romney and his Republican primary opponent, John Lakian, attended an LCR-sponsored candidate’s forum during the campaign, where they both competitively vied for the organization’s endorsement — which Romney eventually won. During the course of his campaign, LCR member and former president Mark Goshko told Bay Windows, Romney held several meetings with group members and at least two LCR members joined his staff. Though gay Republicans were by no means running Romney’s campaign, “it was really a multi-level involvement,” Goshko stated. “Our people were very involved officially and outside of [the campaign].”
- Bay Windows, 3/28/2002

“In seeking the support of the Log Cabin Republican Club, Romney wrote them a letter promising that ‘as we seek to establish full equality for America’s gay and lesbian citizens, I will provide more effective leadership than my opponent.’ ” [His opponent at the time was Sen. Ted Kennedy, perhaps the foremost advocate of homosexual rights in the U.S. Senate.]
- Boston Globe, 10/17/1994
Read Romney’s letter to Log Cabin Club (Adobe Acrobat format)

And in the 2002 gubernatorial race, Romney was again courting the homosexual community:
“It’s 9:15 a.m. and Republican gubernatorial nominee Mitt Romney is in good spirits. He’s just wrapped up a meeting with the Massachusetts Log Cabin Republicans at Mario’s restaurant in Boston, where he won his first endorsement from a gay organization . . . According to Mark Goshko, a former LCR president, the group’s 15-member board of governors, the body that votes to endorse candidates, made the unanimous decision after meeting with the Romney campaign and holding extensive discussions.”
- Bay Windows, 10/24/2002

Romney’s campaign distributed pro-gay rights campaign literature during Boston’s “Gay Pride” events
The annual “Gay Pride” events in Boston, as in other cities across the country, regularly feature obscene and degrading floats, handouts, and activities:
“During his 2002 gubernatorial run his campaign distributed bright pink flyers during Pride that declared ‘Mitt and Kerry [running mate Kerry Healey] wish you a great Pride weekend! All citizens deserve equal rights, regardless of their sexual preference.’ Romney also argued that he would not only support gay friendly policies but would fight on behalf of the gay community to secure benefits such as domestic partner benefits and hospital visitation rights for same-sex couples.”
- Bay Windows 3/3/2005

Let’s face it, none of the candidates are perfect. They never are. But McCain is the least perfect of the viable candidates. The only one left standing who can honestly be said to share most of our conservative principles is Mitt Romney. I say this as someone who has not been an active Romney supporter. If conservatives don’t unite behind Romney at this stage, and become vocal in their support for him, then they will get McCain as their Republican nominee and probably a Democrat president. This is why the Liberals want McCain to win the Republican Nominee. And in either case, we will have a deeply flawed president.

Oh yea I almost forgot: A VOTE FOR HUCKABEE IS A VOTE FOR McCAIN! That is a fact. so Huckabee & RON Paul voters make your vote really count. Set aside your religious differences and Rally for MITT Romney. Conservatives need to act now, before it is too late. McCain will not win against the Democrats in November you can take that to the bank.

McCain Looks at the facts not the hype:

1. McCain supports gay marriage, and was involved in the McCain Savings and Loan scandal that cost taxpayers HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS.
Check the facts - here is the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keating_Five

2. If he can’t secure our borders here in Arizona - how in the world is get going to protect our country?

i am voting for Mitt Romney!

A vote for Romney is a vote for HillBillary!

There is a little secret that Romney’s Mormon friends, Romney’s pro-abortion friends, Romney’s Log Cabin homosexual friends, and Romney’s gun control friends don’t want you to know.

Romney ain’t no conservative!

He was a governor for a meager four years. During that time, he was a social liberal and an economic moderate. His HillaryCare health program forces citizens to buy health insurance! Where is the conservative desire for less government in that?

Romney want’s voters to believe that having lived his first 57 years left of center that in the past three years he has become a banner carrier for conservatives? I don’t buy it. He sounds a lot like the last Presidential candidate from Massachusetts…Flip-Flop Kerry.

Romney serves on the board of Marriott Hotels. Marriott is one of the nations largest proliferators of pornography. Romney is a leader in the Mormon church that has a long history of racism.

There is one consistent conservative in this race–Mike Huckabee.

Huckabee is and has been staunchly anti-abortion!

Huckabee is and has been against gay marriage!

Huckabee is and has been a strong supporter of gun ownership!

Huckabee is and has been welcomed by African Americans!

Huckabee gets his financial support from grass-roots Republicans!

Huckabee believes in strict-constructionist Judges!

Huckabee and Ronald Reagan share parallel records as Governors!

Huckabee is unashamedly a Christian!

Romney has publicly been 180 degrees opposite of all the above positions.

Republicans! Conservatives! Don’t waste your vote on Mitt Romney. Who knows where he’ll stand tomorrow.

No problem! The honest conservative is Huckabee! Vote for him instead.

Huckaee and McCain don’t even understand what it is to be a conservative. They are both so dishonest and whiny. I’m sick of them. VOTE ROMNEY!!!

Comment by CPG

Skip,

A true conservative would not list these two things first:

“Huckabee is and has been staunchly anti-abortion!”

“Huckabee is and has been against gay marriage!”

A true conservative would not be in our bedrooms, a TRUE REPUBLICAN is NOT the party of BIG GOVERNMENT!

Also “Huckabee is unashamedly a Christian!” does not make him a CONSERVATIVE!! Religion, once again, has nothing to do with bring a REPUBLICAN.

Vote for someone who cares about building a strong AMERICA, not someone who wants to continue to tear us all apart.

Comment by Skip

CPG,

That’s why your candidate can’t win. There are three basic parts to conservatism. And Romney is weak on 2.5. All he has is money. A lot like flip-flop Kerry.

Tell your candidate to go back to Massachusetts where the liberals there love him.

Comment by CPG

The liberals love him? Then why does Rush et al, think he is the true republican nominee, not McLame, or Huckabilly?

You have to see a vote for Hubabilly is a waste at this point, his chances of maybe winning one or two states are at best.

Huckabee would be defeated easily by Obama or Hillary…if you dont see that then you are blind…

Also, a note for those who may not know this Gov. Pataki, is not our current Governer. I am not sure if Fox News knows that.. because this article makes it seem the current governer is endorsing McCain.

Current Gov. is Elliot Spitzer, a democrat..

Comment by calvarys_soldier

FYI Pataki is the former governor of New York, not the current!

Comment by Earl

Sorry Skip,

I won’t vote for Huckabee either. All he is doing is winning the election for McCain. He should have dropped out after Florida. The guy doesn’t have any money and even if he wins a few Southern states, the rest of the country isn’t interested. I think he got single digit support in Nevada, and is trailing badly in the Northeast, and Western states that vote today. The only folks that support Huckabee are evangelicals. He unfortunately hasn’t broadened his support base.

I thought about Huckabee after Iowa, but after researching his record, and seeing that he can’t draw support from anyone except evangelicals, I’ve decided to vote for Romney.

Comment by David....Nevada

Think Elliott Spitzer was insane with his drivers license for illegals in new york. John McCain is going to flood your great state with illegals and then force you to swallow driving licenses for those illegals regardless of the dangers it presents.. think twice new york. Open Borders mccain thinks he knows whats best for you and your state.

I am so incensed about the move toward and promotion of John McCain that I spent a few dollars of my last income (after being laid off) to buy anti-McCain bumper stickers that can be found here: http://liberalglasses.blogspot.com

I’d rather ABSTAIN than vote for McCain!

Comment by Jen

I don’t have a problem with Romney getting support from the homosexual community. He ha sconsistently lived his own personal values– hasn’t been involved in scandals and ehtics violations. He has been responsible with the power afforded him by the voters in MA and has been able to represent them civilly–regardless of his own personal and religious beliefs. He has changed what he thinks government’s role should be with regard to legislating morality– he talks honestly and openly about it. This is a diverse country– Romney believes marriage should be between a man and a woman– but he supports giving rights to gay couples. That is a more humane, reasonable approach by a religious man than many can tout.

Huckabee does not do well to LIVE his religion, he can’t control his mauth, criticisms, whining, and he’s done a poor job and hiding the fact that he just wants ROmney to not win. He isn’t showing voters how his record is better than McCain’s– he’s not acting like he’s really in it to win or else he would. He is just staying in for his own personal, selfish reasons– or because he thinks McCain will be the best nominee–even better than him!

Huckster is a joke and if you would really learn about the man you would see it!

COME ON AMERICA– get behind ROMNEY!

I, too, am baffled that people are considering McCain as a conservative–and I live in Arizona! I used to vote for McCain in the BEGINNING of his long political career in Washington. Let’s please not let the liberal media pick our Republican candidate for us! It is so VERY obvious that the media has been slanted toward McCain and against Romney. For example, in our local Tucson paper, after Romney had a landslide victory in the Nevada caucuses and McCain had won South Carolina–but not with any kind of landslide–the newspaper did an article extolling what the editors saw as his virtues. The whole article was about McCain! In contrast, the article about the Nevada caucuses did not so much as even mention Romney’s name!

Have we slid so far as a nation that we have become blind to media bias? Rush, Hannity, Levin, Hewitt and other prominant talk show hosts are recently very enthusiastically endorsing Romney! Rush does not normally do so but even he, got on the bandwagon of doing so for Mitt, yesterday, when he witnessed the extreme media bias. El Rush Bo could not sit back and idly watch us slide down the very slippery slope of letting the liberal bias take us, like sheep to the slaughter, to the candidate who would easily lose to Hillary or Obama in the generals–McCain! Please do not fool yourselves into thinking what the polls now say–that McCain would be more viable in the Generals. The current polls are only a reflection of what the media has cleverly cultivated. With the passage of the next several months and Romney’s expertise and support, he will beat the liberals and hopefully even the liberal media with the growing conservative grassroots movement toward him! I have every confidence he is the only one who can beat the liberals in the general!

Another thing that has not been widely reported is a truth you deserve to know–Romney has not funded his campaign solely with his own money (which is no crime anyway but a blessing of free enterprise which fact McCain decries–Is McCain even on the side of free enterprise?) Romney has received more donations than any other Republican candidate in the history of Republicans!!! Why does the press not tell us that???? Go MITT!! A growing grassroot effort will propel you to the top!!! Vote today for freedom! Join Rush, Hannity, Levin and me and true America! Vote for MITT!!!

Comment by Ginnie

I am surprised that people would rather vote for Hillary instead of John McCain. John McCain is definately a Republican, the fact that he is not so far to the left that he is off the page is a good thing. I think he is a good compromise between any party raticals. We need to challenge the democratically controlled congress and McCain will do this. He will secure this country in order to enable our politicians to concentrate on the economy. For those of you that would rather vote for Hillary instead of John McCain just remember, she is a democrate and will be working with a democratic congress. That should be enough to scare anyone. A side note, health care will be the least of our worries if the terrorists are successful at attacking the U.S. on the same level as 9/11

Comment by Evelyne

Compromise - how can we choose a “compromise” what this country needs is a President, someone with good values, who walk his talk, a real achiever, someone who will lead America to a legacy we will pass to our children and grandchildren proudly. There is only one candidate, who will be able to meet this challenge; - a winner in all the aspects, which in top of it understands the whole functioning. This is Mitt Romney. He is a winner. He is a team builder. What will McCain really offer apart from the homeland security with the Armies? What about our work? What about our education? What about our economy? What about our relations with the other international markets? What about his funny tricks launching false rumors? How will he behave when he will be at the head of the government? Will it be for his “friends” first? I noticed that many of the people campaigning for him are stating their friendship. What about the issues, which are of importance to the American people? It is not even worth to mention our Democrat group. This would lead America to economical difficulties and not to mention our security.

Comment by Clymer

Of course what do you expect they are all working together because Romney would be the best candidate, think about it!!!!!!!

Why else would they play trick to keep him from winning they do not (liberals) want our great USA a better and safer place.
