HuckaBowl & Aisle Surfing
Memphis, TN-
Huckabee stopped at Corky’s Barbecue in Memphis to glad-hand with supporters then picked up ribs, cole slaw, beans, and banana pudding for his staff, and traveling press corps. Huckabee et al watched the 4th quarter of the game at the FBO where the campaign charter plane was parked. The Arkansan rib aficionado also tried some chicken wings, and poked fun at a staffer from Indiana who tried to eat the ribs with a knife and fork, a major rib eating-no no.
Huckabee on the Giants: : “Gotta love the underdog.”
” Not only was it a great game, we also beat Romney’s team,” said Ed Rollins, Campaign chairman, and a Giants fan, making light of the New England Patriots improbable defeat.
Afterwards a couple of the embeds tried our hand at aisle surfing on the charter flight between Memphis, and Chattanooga.
What is aisle surfing? You take a tray, and during lift off portion of flight surf down the aisle of the plane. Don’t try this at home!

Here’s the ugly truth about McCain’s record:
-IMMIGRATION: he wrote the bill granting amnesty to illegal immigrants (co-sponsored by Ted Kennedy)
-SOCIAL SECURITY: he voted to give your social security money to illegal immigrants
-TAXES: he voted against the Bush tax cuts multiple times (he has since flip-flopped and has campaigned as a lifelong tax-cutter)
-RHETORIC: he routinely engages in Democratic class warfare against big companies in America, particularly the “evil” drug companies who research cures to debilitating diseases for a profit
-ECONOMY: as recently as December 2007 he admitted “he does not know the economy very well” and needed to get better at it
-1ST AMENDMENT: he wrote the McCain-Feingold campaign finance bill that was declared to be an unconstitutional infringement of the 1st Amendment (co-sponsored by ultra-liberal Democrat Russ Feingold)
-2ND AMENDMENT: he was called the “worst 2nd amendment candidate” by the president of the NRA
-EQUAL PROTECTION: lifelong supporter of affirmative action
-ENERGY TAX: wrote a bill (co-sponsored by his buddy Lieberman) imposing a massive tax on energy which, according to the Department of Energy, would drastically raise the price of gasoline and put 300,000 Americans out of work
-GLOBAL WARMING: supports radical global warming legislation which involved him voting with every Democrat; think only America is responsible to take action, not other superpowers
-JUDGES: he joined forces with Democrats (Gang of 14) to block the Senate Republican’s attempt to confirm conservative, strict constructionist judges; also said Alito was too conservative for his liking
-WAR ON TERROR: fought with Hillary Clinton to demand that terrorists be given a full American trial
-GAY MARRIAGE: he joined liberals to fight against a federal marriage amendment supporting the institution of traditional marriage
-CHRISTIANS: campaigning in 2000, he famously described Christian leaders as “agents of intolerance”
-PRO-LIFE: he filed an amicus brief against pro-life advocates in Wisconsin
-BI-PARTISANSHIP: he met with leading Democrats in 2004 to discuss the possibility of being John Kerry’s Vice-President; publicly considered leaving the Republican Party in 2001 after he lost the primary
-INTELLECT: finished 894 out of 899 in his class in the Naval Academy.
-PROFESSIONAL ETHICS: ringleader of the infamous Keating 5 ethical scandal which cost US tax payers $160 billion (Google it)
-PERSONAL ETHICS: McCain cheated on his first wife after she had a severe accident that left her partially disabled. He then divorced her and married his multi-millionaire mistress, whose daddy bought McCain a spot in the Congress
These videos are pretty hilarious.
It’s not hard to see why (1) no one takes Huckabee’s campaign seriously and (2) Huckabee was so obese.
Watching Huckabee and the people he surrounds himself with, I am not left feeling confident that he has the intelligence and sophistication to deal with the complex problems confronting presidents.
From what I’ve learned about MIKE HUCKABEE, I would NEVER VOTE FOR HIM!
Many would question whether Mike Huckabee is a true conservative; I would question whether he is even a true CHRISTIAN! For an ex-Baptist preacher, the man sure has a potty mouth! Re: where to put the flag pole if anyone disagreed with his position on the Confederate flag, and also considering the risqué music/song lyrics used by Huckabee and his band, Capitol Offense. Imagine the pastor of your church singing H*y Tonk Woman or Devil With a Blue Dress (song lyrics would be offensive to many) (www.irdial.com/blogdial/?p=909).
Huckabee has a history of corruption and lack of ethics and is one of two republican presidential candidates on the list of TOP TEN MOST CORRUPT POLITICIANS of 2007 (www.judicialwatch.org). One example, after being married for 30 years, Huckabee set up a WEDDING registry at Target for him and his wife to receive gifts for their house. The wedding registry was a way to avoid ethics laws prohibiting gifts to politicians.
Huckabee has also spawned a son who stoned and hung a dog to death. David was fired as a Boy Scout’s counselor for disobeying the “Be Kind” rule. Daddy Huck hindered the police investigation of David for animal cruelty. This should bring pause to anyone thinking of voting for Huckabee. Family animal cruelty issues often times indicate other problems as well.
His personality is described at Wikipedia as petty, thin-skinned, self-righteous, and somewhat vindictive (www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Huckabee).
He could never win in a general election. Imagine his Confederate flag flap being played over and over in the Dem’s TV ads. And he wants to amend the Constitution to ban abortions and gay marriage. This would alienate too many moderates and independents. If we vote for Huckabee we WILL BE WASTING OUR VOTE!
We need FIX IT MITT ! Please vote for the wise choice!
Amen Shelby … Mitt has my Vote and support!
Mitt is going to Win a large of Dels on Super Tuesday.
HUCKABEE -
Are you running to win the republican nomination or to beat Mitt Romney? Which one is it? Last time I checked you are also running against John McCain (and Ron Paul I guess… no not really but oh well…). Most people run to win 1st place, but I guess you are more than happy to win second and go back home to Arkansas…..

If Huckabee is such a conservative, why does he seem so content with McCains’ (whose a liberal) position as front runner, and is more concerned in keeping Romney (whose a conservative) down? Romney is right–a vote for Huckabee is a vote for John McCain–the later conservatives start to realize that, the sooner we get the liberal John McCain as the Republican nominee–which is disastrous.
TO ALL CONSERVATIVES IN THIS NATION–Huckabee is John McCain’s proxy to draw you away from Romney who is the only viable conservative front-runner candidate. Conservatives should be principled and should vote for the candidate who has a RECORD of conservative values–Romney has THAT RECORD. Neither Huckabee nor McCain have overall conservative records like Romney does.
And if all you Romney haters have against Romney is that he’s “flip-flopped” than you are hypocrites. You need not look any further than the Republican candidate you support–McCain and Huckabee have also “flip-flopped”. So where is your argument when reality dictates they all have “flip-flopped”? Your argument against Romney is gone–he is the true conservative, the most qualified Presidential candidate that has come along since Reagan, and you are not going to vote for him, because he’s “flip-flopped”? Don’t be ridiculous and don’t be that careless.
A vote for McCain are by those conservatives who only care about “winning” and are willing to drop their conservative principles for that sake only. A vote for Huckabee are by those conservatives who have “blind faith” because he must be conservative since he is Southern Baptist, right? Wrong. Look at their records–neither have conservative ones.
We can win with Romney–he is a true conservative on the military, on the economy, and on social issues. One only need to study his religion to know that it is super conservative on many issues social, political, and economic. So for goodness sakes CONSERVATIVES, VOTE FOR MITT ROMNEY IN YOUR PRIMARY/CAUCUS!!
Seemingly, “Chuckabee” appreciates junk food. His karate master should have taught him it’s bad for health!
Republican candidates led the majority of their TV commercials with a variety of traditional conservative issues - taxes, defense (including Iraq, veterans and terrorism), abortion and immigration, all three leading Democrats led with the same. Meanwhile, more than 29% of Romney’s ads also used the word change. But if “change” has been a big word in presidential campaign ads so far the year, the American flag has been the most popular image. McCain wrapped himself in the flag more than any other leading candidate, with 77% of his TV ads displaying the patriotic image. Close behind was Giuliani, with 65% of his spots doing the same, and Romney with 44% of his.
The only pure negative ad aired by a candidate to date was aired by Mike Huckabee. The ad, criticizing Mitt Romney, was pulled, but not before it aired 11 times in Iowa markets

Huckabee the Hypocrite! Vote John McCain!
You guys are hilarious! You can’t even make intelligent arguments, but just keep repeating the same old purple koolaid induced rhetoric! lol
Judicial watch didn’t say why they accused Huckabee of being a bad politician. They just quoted and AP article? Where’s Judicial Watch’s integrity?
Romney hasn’t run attack ads? buwahahahahaha!!! Oh, that’s right. They were “comparisons.” So why did he leave out that he is strongest where he gets Mormon backing like Huck is strongest where he gets Baptist backing? Isn’t that a “comparison?” Oh,yeah. Romney is a National Candidate. Right!
Huckabee is the only consistent conservative in this race! Romney is a chameleon–all things to all people. But what are his CORE values…today? Have they changed, again?
Romney is crashing and will close his checkbook after Tuesday. While dishonest, he isn’t stupid and won’t spend anymore of his money. His kids have got to be privately furious watching their inheritance blown on a lost cause.
Here’s what the WSJ has to say about your Dream Economy Candidate: Romney can’t get elected. lol
McCain and the Supreme Court
By STEVEN G. CALABRESI and JOHN O. MCGINNIS
February 4, 2008; Page A14
The conservative movement has made enormous gains over the past three decades in restoring constitutional government. The Roberts Supreme Court shows every sign of building on these gains.
Yet the gulf between Democratic and Republican approaches to constitutional law and the role of the federal courts is greater than at any time since the New Deal. With a Democratic Senate, Democratic presidents would be able to confirm adherents of the theory of the “Living Constitution” — in essence empowering judges to update the Constitution to advance their own conception of a better world. This would threaten the jurisprudential gains of the past three decades, and provide new impetus to judicial activism of a kind not seen since the 1960s.
[John McCain]
We believe that the nomination of John McCain is the best option to preserve the ongoing restoration of constitutional government. He is by far the most electable Republican candidate remaining in the race, and based on his record is as likely to appoint judges committed to constitutionalism as Mitt Romney, a candidate for whom we also have great respect.
We make no apology for suggesting that electability must be a prime consideration. The expected value of any presidential candidate for the future of the American judiciary must be discounted by the probability that the candidate will not prevail in the election. For other kinds of issues, it may be argued that it is better to lose with the perfect candidate than to win with an imperfect one. The party lives to fight another day and can reverse the bad policies of an intervening presidency.
The judiciary is different. On Jan. 20, 2009, six of the nine Supreme Court justices will be over 70. Most of them could be replaced by the next president, particularly if he or she is re-elected. Given the prospect of accelerating gains in modern medical technology, some of the new justices may serve for half a century. Even if a more perfect candidate were somehow elected in 2012, he would not be able to undo the damage, especially to the Supreme Court.
Accordingly, for judicial conservatives electability must be a paramount consideration. By all accounts, Mr. McCain is more electable than Mr. Romney. He runs ahead or even with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama in the national polls, and actually leads the Democratic candidates in key swing states like Wisconsin. Mr. Romney trails well behind both Democratic candidates by double digits. The fundamental dynamic of this race points in Mr. McCain’s way as well. He appeals to independents, while Mr. Romney’s support is largely confined to Republicans.
With many more Republican senators up for re-election than Democrats, the nomination of Mr. Romney could easily lead to a Goldwater-like debacle, in which the GOP loses not only the White House but also its ability in practice to filibuster in the Senate. Thus, even if we believed that Mr. Romney’s judicial appointments were likely to be better than Mr. McCain’s — and we are not persuaded of that — we would find ourselves hard-pressed to support his candidacy, given that he is so much less likely to make any appointments at all.
In fact, there is no reason to believe that Mr. McCain will not make excellent appointments to the court. On judicial nominations, he has voted soundly in the past from Robert Bork in 1987 to Samuel Alito in 2006. His pro-life record also provides a surety that he will not appoint judicial activists.
We recognize that there are two plausible sources of disquiet. Mr. McCain is perhaps the foremost champion of campaign-finance regulation, regulation that is hard to square with the First Amendment. Still, a President McCain would inevitably have a broader focus. Securing the party’s base of judicial conservatives is a necessary formula for governance, as President Bush himself showed when he swiftly dropped the ill-conceived nomination of Harriet Miers.
Perhaps more important, because of the success of constitutionalist jurisprudence, a McCain administration would be enveloped by conservative thinking in this area. The strand of jurisprudential thought that produced Sen. Warren Rudman and Justice David Souter is no longer vibrant in the Republican Party.
Others are concerned that Mr. McCain was a member of the “Gang of 14,” opposing the attempt to end filibusters of judicial nominations. We believe that Mr. McCain’s views about the institutional dynamics of the Senate are a poor guide to his performance as president. In any event, the agreement of the Gang of 14 had its costs, but it played an important role in ensuring that Samuel Alito faced no Senate filibuster. It also led to the confirmation of Priscilla Owens, Janice Rogers Brown and Bill Pryor, three of President George W. Bush’s best judicial appointees to the lower federal courts.
Conservative complaints about Mr. McCain’s role as a member of the Gang of 14 seem to encapsulate all that is wrong in general with conservative carping over his candidacy. It makes the perfect the enemy of the very good results that have been achieved, thanks in no small part to Mr. McCain, and to the very likely prospect of further good results that might come from his election as president.
Messrs. Calabresi and McGinnis teach at Northwestern University Law School.
Here’s another interesting viewpoint. Note the belief that Huckabee stood a better chance of beating McCain than Romney.
One Last Thing: Be seated, take notes - it’s the super-duper midterm
By Jonathan Last
for the Inquirer
After years of maneuvering, months of campaigning, and weeks of voting, we’re fewer than 48 hours from the primary season’s midterm exam - which might also be the final. What better way to prepare for the test than with a Q&A session?
Is it a two-man race now on the Republican side? One and a half. Mitt Romney just had his best shot to knock out John McCain. He had McCain locked in a single, closed primary where he was able to leverage paid media muscle. He had the entire conservative establishment - National Review, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and the rest of talk radio and blogdom - riding shotgun with him. And Romney still lost by five points. With Rudy Giuliani falling by the wayside, McCain will continue to gain strength. On Tuesday, there are enough winner-take-all states that McCain could be within a few hundred delegates of the nomination by the end of the night. The worst-case scenario has him with a 400-delegate lead.
Taking away Massachusetts, Utah and Idaho, it’s hard to see many moves left on the board for Romney. The question is how ugly he wants to make the rest of the campaign. Certainly, talk-radio land will urge him to go scorched-earth. Romney has the money to do it. And without either a natural constituency or a political future, he has nothing to lose.
Why do you hate Mitt Romney? Really, I don’t. As I’ve said before, he’s in many ways an attractive human being and candidate. He has run an off-putting and frequently dishonest campaign. In the New Hampshire debate, for example, Romney insisted, over and over, that he had never run attacks accusing McCain of promoting amnesty for illegal immigrants - something McCain has never done. Moments later, the McCain camp showed reporters a Romney ad doing just that.
Instead of presenting himself as a can-do technocrat, Romney spent the first three years of his campaign trying to prove that his real passion is getting tough on gays and Mexicans. He shot dirty pool with his rivals.
My rap on Romney has long been that he’s never caught on with real voters - outside of his one-shot win of an open (but GOP-held) Massachusetts governor’s mansion in 2002. Romney didn’t even have to win that nomination: The GOP forced the incumbent lieutenant governor out of the race for him. It’s not that I don’t like Romney, it’s that voters don’t like Romney.
Then why did Romney take off like a rocket in the national polls two weeks ago? This was the congealing of the anti-McCain vote, which is sizable. Many conservatives distrust McCain, particularly in elite and movement circles. Several weeks ago, these forces decided to rally ’round Romney as their alternative. They picked the wrong horse. Had the movement conservatives gone with Mike Huckabee or Fred Thompson, they would have had a better chance of derailing McCain.
This is likely the high watermark of Romneyism. He’s nearly outspent the rest of the Republican field combined. He outspent McCain 8-1 in Florida. His “early-state” strategy is ash. On Friday we learned he pumped $18 million of his own money into the campaign in the fourth quarter alone. Only $9.1 million came from other donors. Not to mention his spending since Jan. 1, likely including more of his own millions. This looks uncomfortably like an attempt to buy the nomination. With so much spent for so little return, there’s no reason to expect the fundamentals of this race to change on Tuesday.
Ed Rollins says, “we also beat Romney’s team” - I didn’t see anyone from Huckabee’s crew suited up and on the field last night.
Aisle surfing during takeoff? Being up and about during takeoff and landing is against FAA regs - pretty immature antics if you ask me.
The Huckabee team looks pretty dopey when compared to the professionalism and statesmanship exhibited by the Romney team.
McCain’s Sidekick Huck the Spoiler, pro-living Constitution (shame on you Huck), pro-ILLEGAL immigrants gaining amnesty, needs to watch a few more Barney Fife reruns to get his, aw shucks, I’m a minister, (so why the blackout on your sermons Huck?), I’m the real conservative, downpat. This guy is such a fraud, and has let power control his brain. Huckleberry is only staying in for one reason, to see that McCain is on the November ballot. He’s using a folksy, southern preacher approach on unsuspecting good people from the South to his gain - not realizing they’ve been Huckabeed. Guess to Huck, the end justify’s the means and dam* those pesky truths.
He’s definitely studied to a tee, Andy Griffith’s chilling Lonesome Rhodes character in “A Face in the Crowd”, a small-town yokel turned national media celebrity turned egotistical Frankenstein’s monster.
Hope Huck invest in a good walking stick. He’s gonna need it as soon as the media and McCain dispose of him. & Huck, you must know you’ve destroyed any chances of a future through the Republican Party — we will remember, Huck the Spoiler –you need to have some quick discussion with Ross Perot to see how he’s feeling about the consequences of his actions in getting Billy Clinton into the White House. Yes, he was Ross the Spoiler — but at least now he’s trying to make up for it — he’s supporting the only real conservative in the race — Mitt Romney.
Regards,
Kelli
CRASH 44 “Conservative Republicans Stay Home for 4 years” if McCain, thanks to his devoted sidekick Huck’s vote splitting, is on the November ballot. Shame on you Huck.
Kelli, too bad your candidate is sooooo weak he can’t win on his own merit. Mike Huckabee isn’t whining that a vote for Romney is a vote for McCain. Yet when Romney drops out, and he will, then its between Huckabee and McCain. And Huckabee will surge to the front!
Why will Mitt drop out? He doesn’t want to serve our country. He wants to be President. His campaign has been financed out of his checkbook and he’ll shortly close that revenue stream. When his campaign finances are cut by two thirds, he won’t be able to buy any more votes.
On the contrary, Mike Huckabee is a common man without the personal financial means to fund a campaign. His money has come from people who truly believe in him. He can stay in this race until the end because his supporters believe in him enough to contribute the few discretionary dollars they have. Unlike Romney’s rich friends that have soooooo much money (to back a winner) that they give half a million to Club for Growth to attack Huckabee. Hmmmm? Guess that didn’t work too well since we haven’t heard from them in a few weeks.
Romney loses tomorrow and the fair weather friends will also close their check books.
Go Mike!
If Huckabee was relevant, I’d write a post about him, but he’s not.
Anyone but McCain!!!
Go Mitt!!!

Media Advisory: Mike Huckabee Announces the Endorsement of Boxing Champion Roy Jones, Jr.
February 03, 2008
Little Rock, AR - Former Arkansas Governor and Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee announced the endorsement of boxing great Roy Jones, Jr.
“Governor Huckabee is a man who knows about struggle and how to work hard for what he wants,” said Jones. “As a fellow TKE, I know he’s a man of honor and integrity.”
Jones was named “Fighter of the Decade” for the 1990s by the Boxing Writers Association of America. He was regarded as the #1 fighter in the middleweight, super middleweight, and light heavyweight classes by all leading magazines. He also won the World Boxing Association heavyweight title in his only fight in his weight class.
“I’m proud to have the support of such a dedicated athlete and champion,” Huckabee said.
Mitt has pulled quite an impressive con job on the American public. He’s had a lot of help from Rush and Hannity, but people who actually take the time to look at his record realize the truth: the conservative movement lost the Republican party a long time ago. We gave them a shot through the 90’s. From 2000-2006 they owned the entire government. Name ONE cut government spending program. I can’t. I can rattle off several NEW ones, though.
Black Conservatives Rally to Urge
Mike Huckabee to Stay in Presidential Race
PRESS CONFERENCE
Monday, February 4, 2008
9:45 AM
National Press Club
529 14th Street NW, DC
Washington , D.C. — A broad coalition of black conservatives from across the country are holding a press conference to urge former Governor Mike Huckabee to stay in the presidential race for the Republican nomination until the Convention.
“Governor Huckabee should not be intimidated to stop his bid for the republican nomination,” states Don Scoggins, veteran GOP activist and among other conservatives hosting the press conference. “The momentum of the grassroots that propelled this party into victory is behind Mike and will not stop fighting for him regardless of his bank account,” also states Scoggins, president of Republicans for Black Empowerment, a DC based national grassroots organization.
The concern of the group is the pressure that is mounting by Republican talking heads to push Governor Huckabee out of the race. The consensus is that Huckabee’s campaign was deliberately sabotaged by Fred Thompson in South Carolina to hone out a two man race between McCain and Romney in Florida. Polls still show Huckabee leading in many southern states, and competitive in others even with limited resources.
“Inside-the-beltway Republicans have lost touch with the increasing seriousness with which Heartland conservatives relate to the traditional values agenda,” states Star Parker, a nationally syndicated columnist and conservative activist. “More and more folks are feeling personally assaulted by the meaninglessness that is gripping our culture and believe that Mike Huckabee is the only Republican candidate that embodies the moral clarity of the GOP ideals. The groundswell generating support for Huckabee’s candidacy understand that moral and economic health go hand in hand and should not be underestimated.”
Numerous African American conservatives, many also veteran Republican Party activists, are scheduled to speak at the one hour press conference.
When: Monday, February 4, 2008 – 9:45 AM
Where: National Press Club (Murrow Room)
Who: Black Conservatives for Mike Huckabee
Is the only way you can attack Romney, through his bank account? Since when did Republicans think that being successful is a four letter word? DON’T YOU GET IT — ROMNEY IS SACRIFICING HIS SELF MADE MONIES TO SAVE NOT ONLY OUR Reagan Republican Party, but for the betterment of this country.
Shall we speak about how many millions Hillary is spending and willing to spend? How will Huckabee (in his blind jeolous rage of Romney’s success) combat this when he believes achievement is the “evil dollar”. BTW, each dollar Romney spends for Ad’s, the media, including turncoat FOX NEWS Channel, spends double to assist both RINO McCain and Sidekick Huck? & I have yet to see sidekick Huck or McCain refuse the assistance of THOSE “evil achievers”. Murdock’s FCC gains are due to Hillary and McCain. Do you think there’s a payoff out there?
Oh, and speaking of not being able to win on merits, here’s an elementary math lesson. 1 = 100%; 2 sharing 100% = 50%. The dirty little secret of the success of “vote splitting” is as old as the hills. I would much rather support someone that uses his own money than someone who uses other people’s money and owes in return — what might that price be?
Your Huck is in the campaign for one reason only, to see that he and the only real conservative in the election, share the same piece of pie.
If you are right and Romney loses, maybe this country needs to do a bit more sinking and replicate the weakness of Carter, since something good came from his four years - we were lucky enough to get President Reagan. Thus, what goes around will come around again and again. So that will be something to look forward to — if you are right and your blind hatred of success plays out.
So Romney thinks that Huckabee is splitting his side of the vote? Apparently Hannity, Rushbo, Coulter, Ingraham, and others believe this too by their constant blabbing over the last couple days. My question is this:
How is Mike Huckabee stealing Romney votes if Mike Huckabee is such a Liberal according to Romney and all the Elites? All I have heard over the last 4 months is how Liberal Mike Huckabee is but now all of a sudden he is stealing the Conservative vote from Romney. Give me a break!
Skip, put the bong down dude…….
Mitt Romney will stay in the race, for he will have more votes for him than huckabee will come Tuesday night.
Mitt and McCain are tied so far with 1.2 mill a peice, but huck only has 700K…….
plus, huck is only set to win what, 3 states, in the south tomarrow?
Texas may be where the Showdown is at this year, there and at the Convention.
By the way, you have done nothing but spread LIES and BIGOTRY all over the Fox blogs, that does not help your candidate, but does show people what his backers are like!
Go MItt!
MIKE huck. Perhaps you need a lesson in mathematics. McLiar is killing you and mitt in the nation polls. +18.9 Yet you ONLY attack mitt!
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/
IF YOU ARE RUNNING FOR PESIDENT ATTACK THE FRONT RUNNER!(MCLIAR)
IF NOT BOW OUT AND HOld HANDS WITH MCLIAR>( you do not even have to endorse mitt. Just get it over with)
HUCK FANS< give your man a call and tell him he needs to attack of ALL fronts to be nominated.
thanks
Vote for Huckabee = Vote for McCain = Vote for Hillary!
ALL YOU HUCKABEE SUPORTERS SHOULD JUST REGISTER AS DEMOCRATS AND SAVE US ALL THE VOTE COUNTING!
I GUESS WE SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED IT. ARKANSAS GAVE US BILL AND NOW THEY ARE DETERMIED TO GIVE US HILLARY.
DON’T WORRY, ALL OF THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY (NOTICE I DID NOT SAY REPUBLICAN) IS WATCHING AND IN FOUR YEARS WE WILL REMEMBER HOW MUCH THE IDOCY OF YOU RELIGIOUS BIGOTS IN THE SOUTH COST US HUCKABEE SUPPORTERS MAY BE BIBEL SCHOLARS BUT THEY SURE SEEM TO BE POLITICAL IDIOTS! THANKS AGAIN,
AT LEAST IT WILL BE FUN TO WATCH MCCAIN GET HIS LUNCH EATEN BY EITHER OF THE DEMS. BY WEDNESDAY MORNING JOHN MCCAIN WILL BE A CANIDATE WITHOUT A HOME…. SERVES HIM RIGHT!
Kim,
Joe who??? Ohhhh well then let me change my vote right away! I didn’t realize that some boxer guy from the 70’s was going with Huckabee
C’mon this endorsement thing is getting a little absured don’t you think?
Endorsement: (n) “en-door-s-ment”
1 “A person who is followed by other people who are too uniformed to be able to make up their own minds about a particualr subject or canidate”
GOOD COMMENT POP,
I’ve yet to see any of these Hucksters explain to me why he keeps going after Mitt as if he is the front runner. Math doesnt’ seem to matter to these people. Its all about the “God” factor. I beleive in God as much or more than the next guy but even God understands that 2 + 2 does not = 10,000.
Go ahead hucsters start quoting me the ol’ “With God all things are possible…” I know been there, read that….
Mitt may have Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingram, FoxNews, Glenn Beck, etc., etc.,etc….. doing everything they can to get Mitt elected.
Huckabee has got God on his side.
Enough said.
The reason Huckabee is not going after McCain is he has to knock out Romney first. Once that is done the vote will tilt back toward Huckabee, the true conservative. So stop with the stupid “Why isn’t Huckabee going after McCain?” It’s obvious folks. Use your head.
Okay Cindy,
Let me make sure I have this straight. Now you say Hckabee is going to knock Romney out of the race? Last I checked Huck is nearly in last place and is out of money. We are talking about the same Huckabee right?
This is gettting more entertaining by the hour. Keep ‘em comming Hucksters. I’m laughing out loud here!!!
PS: If God is on Romney’s side then how can he be on Huckabee’s side two? The truth is God would like to see these two men put their petty differences aside and join hands to prevent a huge influx of liberalism in our government that is John McCain.
When are you people going to understand that Huckabee is going to win a grand total of 1 STATE on Tuesday: ARKANSAS. Winning only Iowa and Arkansas is a pathetic record and you need to wake up. Another part of the problem is that this guy has so little money. Seriously though, wake up, Huckabee is irrelevent.
The race is between Romney and McCain, and while McCain isn’t the “most conservative”, he has a record of military service and that’s good enough to get my vote.
Huck watches Super Bowl, eats wings and ribs.
Romney watches ballet, nibbles caviar sips champagne.
One of Romney’s most prominent supporters in Atlanta said in an interview yesterday Romney must peel away Huckabee backers in order to win in the South.
“Our challenge is to get the Huckabee people to defect before next Tuesday,” said US Representative Jack Kingston of Georgia. “One of our big obstacles right now is we are splitting votes with Huckabee. It is very frustrating.”
I’d rather vote for someone who’s a bit more liberal (McCain) than someone who I cannot trust (Romney). Romney is a recent convert to conservative values and I believe that he only converted to win votes and he will say whatever he thinks the people want to hear. Mike Huckabee said “I don’t have to wake up and look at a poll each morning to decide what I believe” and his past testifies to that fact, he has been consistent in his conservative values. He also has the best experience and has great success in his experience. I also have no doubt that Romney has hidden agendas for himself and his company Bain Capital. As Hunter said, Mitt Romney is unpatriotic and a threat to national security with what he is planning to do with Bain Capital.
NEW ARTICLE ABOUT MITT ROMNEY, OUT TODAY!!
HUNTER CALLS ON ROMNEY TO OPPOSE BAIN PARTNERSHIP WITH CHINESE COMPANY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: November 2, 2007
CONTACT: Gary Becks (619) 334-1655, dlhunter08@yahoo.com
San Diego, CA - - - Presidential candidate and current Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, Congressman Duncan Hunter, today called on former Governor Mitt Romney to send a “clear statement” to the leadership of the company he founded, Bain Capital, to terminate a proposed business deal with a controversial Chinese corporation seeking to acquire U.S. defense contractor 3COM. Bain Capital is attempting to form a business arrangement with Huawei Corporation, a Chinese corporation founded by an officer of the Peoples Liberation Army of Communist China, which faces allegations of assisting Saddam Hussein in the targeting of U.S. aircraft and in helping the Taliban develop surveillance equipment.
“I am extremely concerned that Governor Romney’s company would tout a highly suspect Chinese corporation as a strategic partner,” stated Hunter. “Forming a business partnership with a corporation known to have direct ties with terrorists and dictators while, at the same time, openly seeking to acquire a major U.S. corporation that performs vital cyber security work for the Department of Defense, can only be characterized as irresponsible.”
A resolution has been introduced in Congress, H.Res. 730, which states; “The preponderance of publicly available evidence clearly suggests that as currently structured, the proposed transaction involving Huawei threatens the national security of the United States and should not be approved by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States .” A copy of this resolution is provided.
Hunter stated in his letter to Governor Romney, “…while it is true that you no longer control Bain Capital, the contributions you have received from its principals as its founding member indicate that your influence within the company remains strong.
“Further, while the Committee on Foreign Investment has yet to rule on the Huawei transaction, this corporation’s connection to Saddam Hussein, the Taliban and the Army of Communist China should clearly disqualify them from becoming, in the words of your former company, “a strategic partner” in acquiring a U.S. firm such as 3COM, which performs vital cyber-security work for the U.S. Department of Defense.
“This letter is a request that you immediately issue a statement of policy that this transaction should be terminated on the grounds of national security. Please let me know what you intend to do.”
A copy of Congressman Hunter’s letter, as well as two articles regarding Huawei acquisition efforts are provided. Media are encouraged to contact Gary Becks at (619) 334-1655 for additional information or to arrange an interview with Hunter.
I would never defect and go to Romney’s camp!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go Huckabee!!!!
Mark…Thanks for posting that..I can’t believe people are voting for Romney…give me a break!
Huckabee 08
As governor, Mike Huckabee has over 10 years of proven leadership and exemplary service to the citizens of Arkansas. He is more qualified to be the next President of the United States than any other candidate.
I am voting for Governor Mike Huckabee because of his proven record of outstanding public service.
Mark : That sure shows where romney stands. Great Info. I will copy it and send it to all the forums I visit.
Lets get the word out!
Go Huckabee!
Mccain and Huckabee were fighting like children at the Reagon debate…that was uncalled for!
When Huckabee finally got a chance to speech..it was profound….it blew everyone else out of the water.
I meant mccain and Romney
I quote myself:
“Why I support Mitt Romney:
1. One of the slightly less well known things about Mitt Romney is that he served as Governor without pay. He donated his entire salary to charity and lived off his own money. He has promised to do the same as President.
2. He has been faithfully married to his wife for 30 something years (I forgot the exact number) and has a wonderful family. He not only supports family values, he lives them.
3. His having money will help him to be unpersuaded by lobbyists. He’s already got a fortune, what can they possibly offer him?
4. Just like Ronald Reagan, Romney examined abortion and realized that any past feelings on being pro choice were wrong and has now come firmly on the side of life. (I wonder if some people knew that Ronald Reagan’s and Mitt Romney’s stories with regards to abortion are similar)
5. His knowledge of the economy is going to be invaluable in our current economically troubled nation. He took failing buisnesses and turned them into successes. He has been endorsed by Ross Perot on the economy. He’s just what this country needs right now.
6. He is well organized, handles himself in a very presidential manner and would avoid alot of the organizational nightmares that plagued the Bush administration. Plus, his very demeanor commands respect from the moment he enters a room.
7. He laid the fiscal responsibility smack down on a liberal Massachusetts legislature. The Club for Growth said “[Romney] imposed some much-needed fiscal discipline on a very liberal Massachusetts Legislature.”
8. Romney has the best immigration plan of the current candidates. He opposed drivers licenses for illegals. He supports teaching in English only. He was endorsed by Tom Tancredo (the immigration guru) for his plan to secure our borders and deal with illegal immigration.
9. Romney not only supports traditional marriage between a man and a woman but actually had the guts to stand up to the Massachusetts legislature on the subject. Remember he sued his own legislature on the subject because they refused to vote on an initiative to make marriage in Mass. only between a man and a woman that had amassed around 170,000 signatures.
10. Romney is optimistic about America’s future. Reagan was too and look what happened.
The list goes on but these are some of the main reasons.”
There are a lot of reasons to support Mitt Romney.
Plus, people need to know that only Romney can defeat John McCain, the liberal in conservatives clothing, at this point in the game. Huckabee lacks money and organization. He also hasn’t won a state since Iowa and only appeals to evangelicals while Romney is competitive among all states and individuals. Plus, Huckabee constant attacks of Romney combined with his constant praises of McCain lead me to suspect an under the table deal between him and McCain. Conservatives need to rally to Romney before we end up with Juan McShamnesty.
Rally to Romney!
Thank you for the post Mark, I always suspected Romeny was under handed.
Mike in NV: I don’t care why you support Romney. Didn’t you read Mark’s post? Why on earth would vote for that no good Romney.
I am voting for Huckabee.
OK, you guys don’t seem to get the point out here. Skip, you say you want intelligent arguments and facts against Huckabee. I could fill this site with facts about how he tried to give college intuition to illegals as governor. How he leads his followers along with a promise of abolishing the IRS when he knows that the bill has failed to get the backing of even the Republican party for five years and how the fair tax is unconstitutional because it would have the federal government mandating how the state government sales tax agencies ran their offices..and how Judicial Watch is the same organization that was behind the impeachment of Bill Clinton and tried to bring him to trial for a number of crimes only finally succeeding in getting him disbarred and fined millions of dollars for contempt of court for shredding evidence in a scandal that gave rocket secrets to China…but the point is that you wouldn’t listen and the point is that it DOESN”T matter because Huckabee only won ONE STATE and he lost so badly in the other states that he couldn’t even pull 20% in ANY of them…
Huckabee cannot face the fact that he lost. I’m sorry…that sure isn’t presidential…but you voters should be able to see the facts. Fine, if you hate Romney as much as Huckabee then be honest and vote for McCain…but the absolute, UNDENIABLE truth is that if any of you don’t like McCain then you are splitting the conservative vote and are assuring that McCain will be nominated. History proves this. A very stubborn base of conservatives would not get behind the elder Bush’s renomination and stubbornly voted for Ross Perot…Clinton walked easily into the White House. This is all everyone is trying to tell you. Get off the fence, be independent of endorsements and polls and even the people out here if you want…be intelligent enough to vote your convictions and be part of this race…Because otherwise it is passing you by.
Remember the Alamo and remember Florida…Sorry, Florida we still love you but you still haven’t quite gotten voting down yet…If you are really conservative, please don’t let McCain be handed the nomination with 35% of the vote because that is what happened in Florida. The conservatives could not get behind the front runner of the conservative movement, Mitt Romney.
…the facts Nevada….SC…..Iowa……Florida…..NH…..Michigan….Maine
Huckabee….8%…….30%….34%…….14%…….11%…..16%………..6%
Romney…..51%…….15%….25%…….31%…….32%…..39%………52%
CindyF, I must have not have been paying attention, but I must have missed Gods endorsement of Huckabee, darn fox news, not publicisizing that one. This isn’t a religious popularity contest, we are selecting a presidential hopeful.
CindyF
Mitt may have Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingram, FoxNews, Glenn Beck, etc., etc.,etc….. doing everything they can to get Mitt elected.
Huckabee has got God on his side.
Dang it I must have missed Gods endorsement of Huckabee, I am going to change my vote right now….. Get real, this isn’t a religious popularity contest, we are trying to pick the leader of the free world, base your oppinions and votes on fact please, if not we will end up with Hillary.
“Why on earth would vote for that no good Romney.” (quote from Jim)
Jim,
For starters, when one asks a question it is usually customary to include a question mark at the end and not a period.
Secondly, are you really this dense? Why would I vote for Romney? That’s your response to a post where I quote myself about the ton ten reasons that I support Romney?
Go ahead and vote for Huckabee if you will. I won’t force you to vote Romney. You are free to choose as you will. I will, however, state why I think voting for Huckabee is a bad idea and will try to persuade people to vote for Romney.
A vote for Huckabee IS a vote for McCain and a vote for McCain is a vote for a liberal in conservatives clothing. A vote for Romney is a vote for a conservative who will preserve the coalition of Ronald Reagan. Is Romney perfect? No, probably not but he, unlike McCain, does not thumb his nose at conservatives, does not seek to change the conservative coalition to “modernize” (John McCain code for “liberalize”) it and is a lot more conservative than those who spout the endless nonsense about him “flip flopping” would have us think. Look at Romney’s actions in office and tell me he isn’t conservative. True conservatives need to rally to Romney to prevent the liberal McCain from trying to destroy the conservative movement.
Rally to Romney!
Sounds like Rush Limbaugh is endorsing Romney today on his radio show…
“Romney as 1 of three (viable) candidates… or rather 2 actually … Romney is
“the only candidate that emodies all three legs of conservative stool is Mitt Romney… there actually is no choice on the matter.”
Pretty clear words.
Conservatives listen to what people are saying about McCain:
“McCain does not have any love for the Republican Party. McCain is using this as a personal movement with the Republican party as the vehicle.”
“McCain runs on the right and legislates on the left. He departs from Republican
Orthodoxy.”
Diana, Diana, Diana…
You are so typical of Romney supporters. You say you can fill this blog with facts and then procede to not list a single one! Rather, you continue to spew the talking points from the Romney campaign.
Yes, Huckabee as a governor who was frustrated with the Federal Governments refusal to enforce immigration policy, wanted to give in-state tuition rates to children of illegals. Many of whom are US citizens by virtue of having been born here to illegal parents. Duh!!
Yes, Judicial Watch placed Huckabee on their worst list based on a quote from an AP source. I’ve yet to find any substantive argument for the APs position. Except that Huckabee has some liberal enemies in the Arkansas state legislature that attacked him like the current Democrat Congress has consistently attacked President Bush. Huckabee may be able to wear this accusation as a badge of honor.
Huckabee’s Fair Tax plan is CHANGE! Your candidate has a record of forcing citizens to buy health insurance and pushing through new programs that are continuing to cost Massachusetts residents more and more money. Seems like that’s one of arguments REAL CONSERVATIVES have with George Bush…tax and spend!
Supporters of Huckabee are content with his showings, so far. Lets see: 60 days ago no one had even heard of Mike Huckabee and most thought Rudy was a runaway winner. Today Rudy’s gone, Fred’s gone, Duncan’s gone and you are so afraid of Mike that you lie about his record to scare people away from him and then lie about Romney’s record to draw people to him.
Hmmmm, Diana, put down the koolaid and walk away. You’ll hate yourself for drinking it today to only discover that Romney will change again when he the wind shifts direction.
Skip,
Is your vision bad in addition to your perception of reality?
Just one of the facts that Diana posted is the following:
“…the facts Nevada….SC…..Iowa……Florida…..NH…..Michigan….Maine
Huckabee….8%…….30%….34%…….14%…….11%…..16%………..6%
Romney…..51%…….15%….25%…….31%…….32%…..39%………52%”
Thus showing that Huckabee doesn’t stand a chance in running a national campaign as he has very low appeal outside of evangelicals.
You claim Diana is spewing “talking points from the Romney campaign”? I call bullcrap on that claim.
Rally to Romney!
Today Rush Limbaugh is criticizing Huckabee for being a Left Wing Conspiracy Theorists in regards to the remarks made the other day about the connection between Sean Hannity and Clear Channel, which is either owned or being bought by Bain Capital (Mitt Romney’s company). Rush said that Sean Hannity has nothing to do with Clear Channel but if you do a quick Google search for “Sean Hannity Clear Channel”, you will see the link below as the first link on the search results page. Now someone please explain to me how Rush is not a bold face liar?
http://www.clearchannel.com/Radio/PressRelease.aspx?PressReleaseID=1768
Airman and Geoff,
Of course it wouldn’t be on Fox, Rush, etc., etc., etc. And I’m sure that’s not the kind of thing you could believe anyway. That’s o.k. You just keep listening to the almighty polls.
As for changing my vote to Mitt…..I think not.
Hannity’s show is carried by Clear Channel - his influence on the organization is the show’s popularity measured by advertising revenue (profitability).
Get the context right Mr. Parks.
Since even McCain supporters are embarrassed by his liberal bills, liberal friends and thoroughly liberal record in the Senate, they often resort to saying, “he’s a true hero”. If you consider McCain heroic b’c of his service many years ago, you must also look to what he’s done since then when deciding whether he’s “a hero”.
After he came back from the war, his 1st wife got in a bad car accident and became partially disabled. What did the HERO MCCAIN do then? He cheated on his disabled wife for a while, then he divorced her, and married the 18-yr-younger, filthy rich mistress. His mistress’ rich father bought McCain a seat in Congress. Still a HERO?
Then McCain, in an early sign of his bi-partisan instinct, became the only Republican of 5 Congressmen to get involved in the Keating 5 ethics scandal that cost the tax payers literally hundreds of millions of dollars. He was the only one of the Keating 5 who did not resign their seat after being found to have taken inappropriate actions by a bi-partisan committee. HEROIC?
The list goes well on, but my point is, you can’t just say “he was a POW” and therefore he’s a great hero. A HERO DOESN’T DITCH HIS WIFE WHEN SHE GETS IN A BAD ACCIDENT. THEY DON’T MARRY FOR MONEY AND POLITICAL ADVANCEMENT. THEY DON’T GET CAUGHT AT THE CENTER OF ONE OF THE BIGGEST ETHICS SCANDALS IN THE HISTORY OF CONGRESS.
I’m not convinced this fraud is a hero at all. He’s an old, Washington politician who has been able to con a lot of people with his military record, but he sure as heck hasn’t conned me.
Mike Huckabee and taxes:

You must be kidding me? When Huckabee was surging in
Iowa from nowhere, it was Romney who went ballistic
and negative. He spent millions against Huckabee in
Iowas and now he wants Huck to step aside and let him
have a chance? Absurd. Did Romney step aside in Iowa?
Did we ask Thompson to step aside in SC when Huckabee
would have won, had the momentum and may be the front
runner? If you spend $80 million and are still
