Romney Compares McCain to Clinton and Obama

Glen Ellyn, IL-

Mitt Romney told a cheering crowd here that Super Tuesday would be good for him telling supporters, “We are going to win on Tuesday.” They booed his rival John McCain, but Romney took it a step further comparing the Arizona senator to Hillary Clinton:

“On a number of other issues he is indistinguishable from Hillary Clinton, “ Romney told reporters, “on a whole series of issues from campaign finance reform to global warming and his approach to it which is a unilateral America pays and the rest of the world doesn’t. As well as his view on the Bush tax cuts, originally. His view on drilling in ANWR and also on the McCain-Kennedy bill. “

Hillary Clinton wasn’t the only Democrat that Romney compared McCain to. In an effort to unite the conservative base around him and not his rival he also compared McCain to Barack Obama:

“He’s virtually indistinguishable from Hillary Clinton or Obama on a number of major issues our country faces,” Romney said. “I was impressed that yesterday Barack Obama said that Senator McCain’s position on illegal immigration was virtually indistinguishable from his. I think it does make sense to have a candidate representing our party whose positions are distinctly different from the Democratic potential nominees. Mine are. And I’m proud of that.”

Romney will continue to try and position himself as the conservative Republican choice comparing John McCain to the Democratic contenders and calling his legislation “liberal.”

Romney is not a conservative. I can’t understand how anyone can trust Romney. It is because he is RICH?

Romney said;

“I promised that if elected, I’d call a truce - a moratorium, if you will…I vowed to veto any legislation that sought to change the existing rules…I fully respect and will fully protect a woman’s right to choose.”

(Taken form http://www.perrspectives.com).

Also;

“Mitt Romney pushed through same-sex marriage all by himself, in the absence of any authority or requirement to do so, having a complete misunderstanding of his role as governor and of the significance of the court’s opinion,” said Keyes.

“The court never ordered him to act, nor did he have the right to act, since the legislature never changed the law. Romney claimed he had no other choice, but that’s completely untrue.”

He raised fees and said he not increase taxes. Give me a break!!!.

McClintObama Amnesty Plan: 20 million illegal alien voters by 2010

February 1, 2008

by William Gheen
Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC)
http://www.alipac.us

Have GOP Voters forgotten that just a few months ago, John McCain stood hand-in-hand with liberal icon Ted Kennedy pushing for the largest amnesty for illegal aliens in American history? While Rasmussen polling showed that Americans following the legislation very closely opposed it 3 to 1 (69% to 23%), McCain ignored the massive public outcry!

The angry calls rolling into the Senate offices, including John McCain’s, were between 50 and 100 to 1 against McCain and Kennedy’s bill. We know this because we stood outside his door counting calls received by his staff and because other Senators told us the ratios they were receiving. History was made when the Capital phone system shut down, due to overload of calls from angry Americans.

John McCain refused to listen to Americans and went so far as to call members of the Senate who refused to support the McKennedy Amnesty “Racists”! John McCain showed no regard for American voices and instead called those who disagreed with him petty names. Who was John McCain listening to? He was listening to the US Chamber of Commerce and the racist illegal alien support groups like La Raza (The Race) whom he openly coordinated the effort with.

John McCain has illustrated in dramatic fashion that when he feels safe in his office, he couldn’t care less about what a majority of Americans think.

Now, John McCain claims he is listening because he wants to be President in a few months. He says he will “Secure the Border First!” Even if you could trust John McCain, which you cannot, his border security pledge will be quickly reduced to irrelevance, if his desire for Amnesty for 20 million illegal aliens becomes a reality.

Barrack Obama brags about how he worked with Senator McCain for “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” amnesty. If the GOP voters allow McCain to win the primary, they will be denying Americans any real choice against Amnesty in November. Unless an independent candidate enters the race, our choice will be between Clinton, Obama, or McCain all pushing for Amnesty from the White House, just like Bush!

Some conservatives will hold their nose and vote for McCain out of fear of the Democrats, others will go third party. Many conservatives would not vote for McCain at gunpoint!

The Republican Party will not be destroyed, if the McCain, Obama, Clinton Amnesty becomes a reality. Each party will race to replace American voices in their ranks, with the twenty million new voters who were recently illegal aliens. Does this surprise anyone who is knowledgeable about how American homes, jobs, tax dollars, limited health care resources, and finite seats in schools are being given to illegal aliens as well?

Any border security promised by McCain will quickly fade into irrelevance beneath the political weight of America’s new race based voting block of legalized illegal aliens. What hope will Americans have for border security or immigration enforcement once this happens? The answer is clear… NONE!

Seventy Seven percent of Americans oppose licenses for illegal aliens. Under the McClintObama plan, twenty million illegal aliens will be eligible for licenses within a few years.

Over seventy percent of Americans oppose taxpayer benefits and welfare for illegal aliens. Under the McClintObama plan, twenty million illegal aliens will be turned into citizen voters and will be eligible for welfare and all taxpayer benefits.

Over 80 percent of Americans oppose in-state tuition for illegal aliens. Under the McClintObama plan, twenty million legalized illegal aliens will qualify for in-state tuition.

Under the McClintObama plan, employers will only have to worry about hiring the next twenty million illegal aliens flooding the country, in response to the Amnesty provided to the most recent wave.

John McCain supports Amnesty. If you have any doubts, then ask yourself why his campaign has deployed open borders fanatic, Juan Hernandez to secure the Hispanic vote for McCain.

Juan Hernandez is a dual citizen of Mexico and America. He used to work for Mexican President Vicente Fox by reaching out to and organizing illegal aliens from Mexico inside the US. Hernandez is known for his stance called, “Mexico First”. He is a regular on national television, where he flagrantly advocates amnesty and Open Borders with Mexico.

Juan Hernandez is the face of the McCain’s campaign to Hispanic voters and he did a great job delivering the Hispanic vote in Florida to McCain!

There are two main reasons McCain is winning the GOP Primary right now. One is the anti-illegal immigration vote is split up between Romney and Paul, who appear to be sincere in their “No Amnesty” pledges. The anti-illegal immigration vote is also splitting to Mike Huckabee, who truthfully supports Amnesty and a path to citizenship for illegal aliens, but is a very skillful liar. Huckabee is deceiving voters by mailing out endorsment cards from lone Minuteman Jim Gilchrist. The anti-illegal immigration vote is divided three ways, and the pro-amnesty vote is now collected around John McCain.

The second reason McCain is winning is that many GOP voters don’t know his immigration stances, have forgotten his immigration stances, or have forgiven his immigration stances. They say, “He has changed” or “We have to stop Clinton and Obama”.

John McCain has not changed or he would not have Juan Hernandez out promising Amnesty for illegal aliens. John McCain has not changed or he would not be saying, “Secure the Borders first”, without getting into the part where amnesty is then passed. John McCain has not changed because he recently stated on the national news that he would still vote for his amnesty bill or sign it into law as President!

Do GOP voters really prefer to have one of their own pushing amnesty than a Democrat? I am a Republican, getting closer to independent every day, but I will say that at very least the Democrats are more honest about their pro-amnesty positions than McCain and Huckabee.

What madness, lies, or misinformation would infect the mind of a GOP voter for them to support a man like John McCain, who works openly with ultra-liberal Democrats, almost changed parties to join the Democrats in 2001, and has the worst record on immigration of any of the GOP candidates?

Why would anyone support a man who is so detached from reality that he told a booing crowd of Union workers that they would not pick lettuce for even $50 an hour!?!?!

John McCain says he knows all about securing the border because he is from Arizona. Say what? Has anyone seen the conditions in Arizona lately, where they have declared a state of emergency and fought to pass strict state laws to enforce the immigration laws, which John McCain and his DC insiders refuse to enforce?

There are good reasons why Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Laura Ingram, Hugh Hewitt, and Michelle Malkin are heavily criticizing John McCain. There are good reasons for Ronald Reagan’s son, Michael to condemn the McCain candidacy. There are good reasons why ALIPAC, NumbersUSA, and almost every other organization in America fighting against Amnesty and illegal immigration, while supporting Border Security, are screaming NO to McCain!

The principles of this nation are at stake. The value of our votes is at stake. The survival of the United States, in its current form, is at stake.

We must stop the McClintObama Amnesty Plan. We must stop twenty million illegal aliens from becoming voters by 2010. We must race against time to warn every GOP voter before Super Tuesday, because we must do all we can to stop John McCain.

Hello Huck supporters. I saw this around Christmas, and decided he wouldn’t be my candidate. Please explain this one:

Leaders Converge on Iowa to Expose Huckabee!

December 26, 2007

Contact: William Gheen, Press@alipac.us, (866) 329-3999

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) is launching an effort in Iowa today to warn GOP voters about the pro Amnesty stances of McCain, Giuliani, and especially Mike Huckabee who is trying to deceive voters with a tough immigration stance on his website that excludes his comments to Fox News on December 9 where he says illegal aliens can return within days!

“Our team will expose the Huckster and the endorsement of lone Minuteman Jim Gilchrist which will not save him from the truth,” says William Gheen of ALIPAC. “Eighty four leaders have signed a letter rebuking Gilchrist and Huckabee for their support of a touchback Amnesty plan modeled after the Pence plan. Within a few days, most GOP voters will know about this trick.”

ALIPAC’s William Gheen, Peter Gadiel of 9/11 Families for a Secure America, and Daniel Smerglio of Voice of the People USA (Hazleton, PA) will be setting up a command center tonight, conducting media interviews, and calling into 42,000 Republican households to warn them about the Huckabee touchback Amnesty plan.

Leaders of other organizations that have signed the letter will be joining them as will volunteers. Mike Huckabee’s poll numbers have started to fall after the public hears the news and scrutinizes his record.

“Mike Huckabee has one of the worst records on immigration enforcement of any of the candidates,” says Gheen. “We just hope the public can be adequately warned before they vote!”

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC is a multi racial, multi party, national organization dedicated to the enforcement of our existing immigration laws and secure borders. For more information and to view the video of Huckabee’s “illegals back in a day” plan, please visit http://www.alipac.us

McCain is strategically in the worst possible position to win the presidency. He would be flanked from two different sides. Once the republican nomination is over, the liberal media and independent supporters will get behind the democratic nominee, dealing strong and damaging blows to his advance. Then, when he turns to retreat and regroup, the conservative base of the republican party that he has thumbed his nose at all these years will be there voting against him, many going for the democrat rather than him, and many others not voting at all. His campaign, already damaged from the left, gets dealt a killing blow by the right, and the democratic nominee moves into the presidency.

For a war guy, you’d think McCain would be able to see the strategic slaughter to which he has led his campaign. But then, as one who has already had clear plans to defect in the past, maybe he is indeed very aware, conscious, and deliberate in what he is doing. McCain is the strongest allies the democrats have.

Hey, Dallas Republican and your other mouthpiece!

The founder of The Minutemen is a Huckabee supporter! I guess his word is good enough for me.

You Huckabee haters are sooooooo obvious. Let’s see if we can get this straight:

Romney can only win in states that have heavy Mormon participation. But Mike has the one-deep constituency?

The truth about Christianity is heralded. The truth about Mormonism is hidden.

First Mike’s not a conservative…then he’s splitting the conservative vote? Please, you look like idiots.

A vote for Mike is a vote for Mike.

Romney had liberal positions on abortion, gay rights, and guns….just 3 years ago!
That’s more recent than McCain-Feingold! How soon we forget.

Romney founded Bain Venture Capital. Bain bought Clear Channel. Clear Channel is the syndication partner for Rush, Glenn, Hannity….

Romney serves on the board at Marriott Hotels. Marriott is a huge purveyor of pornography with their “adult” movie channels. Some family values, huh?

Romney promised Michigan billions in federal bail-out money. Who’s the liberal now?

Romney saved the Olympics? WHO CARES!!!!

If Romney didn’t have the undying support of whacked out Mormons, and bought-and-paid-for talk radio hosts, he wouldn’t have any support at all!

If you believe otherwise, you’re ignorant or an idiot. Fortunately, ignorance can be cured.

From what I’ve learned about MIKE HUCKABEE, I would NEVER VOTE FOR HIM!

Many would question whether Mike Huckabee is a true conservative due to his poor record with illegal aliens and other issues; I would question whether he is even a true CHRISTIAN! For an ex-Baptist preacher, the man sure has a potty mouth! Re: where to put the flag pole if anyone disagreed with his position on the Confederate flag, and also considering the risqué music/song lyrics used by Huckabee and his band, Capitol Offense. Imagine the pastor of your church singing H*y Tonk Woman or Devil With a Blue Dress (song lyrics would be offensive to many) (www.irdial.com/blogdial/?p=909).

Huckabee has a history of corruption and lack of ethics and is one of two republican presidential candidates on the list of TOP TEN MOST CORRUPT POLITICIANS of 2007 (www.judicialwatch.org). One example, after being married for 30 years, Huckabee set up a WEDDING registry at Target for him and his wife to receive gifts for their house. The wedding registry was a way to avoid ethics laws prohibiting gifts to politicians.

Huckabee has also spawned a son who stoned and hung a dog to death. David was fired as a Boy Scout’s counselor for disobeying the “Be Kind” rule. Daddy Huck hindered the police investigation of David for animal cruelty. This should bring pause to anyone thinking of voting for Huckabee. Family animal cruelty issues often times indicate other problems as well.

His personality is described at Wikipedia as petty, thin-skinned, self-righteous, and somewhat vindictive (www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Huckabee).

He could never win anyway in a general election. Imagine his Confederate flag flap being played over and over in the Dem’s TV ads. And he wants to amend the Constitution to ban abortions and gay marriage. This would alienate too many moderates and independents. If we vote for Huckabee we WILL BE WASTING OUR VOTE!

Sorry folks, I just can’t trust a guy that has warm and fuzzy feelings for intruders….

Obama Says Clinton Positions “Similar” To McCain’s
Posted by Maria Gavrilovic (CBS)

WILMINGTON, DEL. — Two days before Super Tuesday, Barack Obama stepped up his criticism of Hillary Clinton, comparing her policies to John McCain’s.

“We expect that John McCain may be the [Republican] nominee and if John McCain is the nominee then the Democratic Party has to ask itself, do you want a candidate who has similar policies to John McCain on the war in Iraq or somebody who offers a stark contrast?” Obama asked the crowd.

He pounced on Clinton for her vote for the Iraq war and for her vote on the Kyl-Lieberman Iran amendment.

“I can offer a clear and clean break from the failed policies of George W. Bush. I won’t have to explain my votes in the past,” Obama said.

Obama went after Clinton’s domestic policy as well, alluding that she worries about the political implications of her positions.

“When I went to Detroit, I said you have to raise fuel efficiency standards on cars,” Obama said, “When Senator Clinton went there, she wouldn’t say it because the concern was ‘well may be I don’t know how that’s was going to play in Michigan.’”

He also accused her “talking ‘Washington speak.’”

“We need clarity in this campaign. And that is what I offer,” he said.

Obama went on to criticize McCain for his support of the Bush tax cuts. He called his approach “more Bush.”

“You know I respected when John opposed Bush tax cuts early on, he said it was irresponsible to cut taxes at the same time we were going into war but now the wheels have fallen off the straight talk express and he is starting to say we need to extend them.”

You Huckabee folks just cannot get over the fact that Mitt Romney has money and is willing to use it in his campaign! And has also received the most contributions of all the Republican candidates. It’s not his fault Huckabee can’t get people to donate. Give me a break!
And as far as your distortion about taxes goes:

Factcheck.org says “most of what Romney raised was in the form of fees, not taxes, such as court filings and firearm licensing fees. But he also closed loopholes on corporate taxes. There is disagreement on the total amount as well, with the state Department of Administration and Finance putting the fee total at $260 million a year and the corporate tax change at $174 million a year”

By the way, Huckabee:
won Iowa
lost New Hampshire
lost Wyoming
lost Michigan
lost Nevada
lost South Carolina (where he should have won)
lost Florida
Out of the 7 contests so far Romney has 4 golds, 3 silvers and 1 bronze!
Huckabee has 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze!

THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING!

As far as the RCP average goes, two polls taken the same day have two dramatically different results, with one having Romney in second place and the other having him tied with McCain.
Either way, he’s ahead of Huckabee and will stay that way! Huckabee will have no choice but to drop out of the race after Super Tuesday, and Romney is going to keep fighting on with the swell of conservative support that is rallying behind him!

DON’T CROWN YOURSELF YET, MCCAIN!!!
MITT ROMNEY IS GOING ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE!!!

Trash-talking and religion-bashing isn’t necessary and better left for the democrats. If you want to provide facts, please do so, but calling people idiots here doesn’t really give posters credibility.

Here’s the ugly truth about McCain’s record:
-IMMIGRATION: he wrote the bill granting amnesty to illegal immigrants (co-sponsored by Ted Kennedy)
-SOCIAL SECURITY: he voted to give your social security money to illegal immigrants
-TAXES: he voted against the Bush tax cuts multiple times (he has since flip-flopped and has campaigned as a lifelong tax-cutter)
-RHETORIC: he routinely engages in Democratic class warfare against big companies in America, particularly the “evil” drug companies who research cures to debilitating diseases for a profit
-ECONOMY: as recently as December 2007 he admitted “he does not know the economy very well” and needed to get better at it
-1ST AMENDMENT: he wrote the McCain-Feingold campaign finance bill that was declared to be an unconstitutional infringement of the 1st Amendment (co-sponsored by ultra-liberal Democrat Russ Feingold)
-2ND AMENDMENT: he was called the “worst 2nd amendment candidate” by the president of the NRA
-EQUAL PROTECTION: lifelong supporter of affirmative action
-ENERGY TAX: wrote a bill (co-sponsored by his buddy Lieberman) imposing a massive tax on energy which, according to the Department of Energy, would drastically raise the price of gasoline and put 300,000 Americans out of work
-GLOBAL WARMING: supports radical global warming legislation which involved him voting with every Democrat; think only America is responsible to take action, not other superpowers
-JUDGES: he joined forces with Democrats (Gang of 14) to block the Senate Republican’s attempt to confirm conservative, strict constructionist judges; also said Alito was too conservative for his liking
-WAR ON TERROR: fought with Hillary Clinton to demand that terrorists be given a full American trial
-GAY MARRIAGE: he joined liberals to fight against a federal marriage amendment supporting the institution of traditional marriage
-CHRISTIANS: campaigning in 2000, he famously described Christian leaders as “agents of intolerance”
-PRO-LIFE: he filed an amicus brief against pro-life advocates in Wisconsin
-BI-PARTISANSHIP: he met with leading Democrats in 2004 to discuss the possibility of being John Kerry’s Vice-President; publicly considered leaving the Republican Party in 2001 after he lost the primary
-INTELLECT: finished 894 out of 899 in his class in the Naval Academy.
-PROFESSIONAL ETHICS: ringleader of the infamous Keating 5 ethical scandal which cost US tax payers $160 billion (Google it)
-PERSONAL ETHICS: McCain cheated on his first wife after she had a severe accident that left her partially disabled. He then divorced her and married his multi-millionaire mistress, whose daddy bought McCain a spot in the Congress

GET OUT THERE AND VOTE…….ROMNEY ‘08

Comment by Impartial Observer

There is clearly a great deal of difference between Senator McCain, and his potential Democratic rivals Senators Clinton and Obama. Although all 3 hold similiar views on some aspects of immigration reform and campaign finance issues, the similarity ends there. McCain is a clear conservative counterpoint to his democratic rivals.

(1) McCain has been an advocate of lower taxes, decreased government spending, and free trade, while Clinton and Obama largely favor increased taxes to fund various government programs, and economic protectionism.

(2) Clinton and Obama (and Romney) favor healthcare reforms that require all people to purchase health care insurance and relies on the government to interfere in the market to make this happen. McCain, by contrast, proposes a truly conservative free market approach to health care.

(3) McCain is a conservative on national defense. He favors following through on our commitment in Iraq while Obama and Clinton favor withdrawal.

(4) McCain has sought to reform government entitlement programs, such as social security and medicare. He favored allowing private social security accounts to make social security solvent and had the courage to speak out against the medcare prescription drug plan (he favored a plan more targeted to those truly in need and which was less of a financial burden). Clinton and Obama, by contrast, favor expanding these entitlements and thus increasing taxpayer burdens.

(5) McCain has a solid pro-life record, in stark contrast to his democratic rivals (and formerly Mitt
Romney)

McCain is clearly a conservative. The fact that he reaches across the aisle to get things done and happens to agree with his democratic colleagues on some issues does not change this plain truth.

Love him or hate him, McCain is a conservative alternative to Clinton and Obama.

Comment by Ron in Tampa

Impartial Observer… Your presentation was very good, but items 1, 2, 4, and particularly 5 need some more research. The impartial observations won’t appear so impartial if you do some more in-depth research… but you do have to dig back a ways.

Comment by Chris

Look, lets all drop the political spin for a minute and be pragmatic about this. Huckabee doesn’t have a chance in hell, and deep down, he and his supporters know it. McCain can’t beat the democrats at their own game, and even if some conservatives hold their noses and vote for him, many others won’t, and without their full support he gets slaughtered in the general election.

If you hate Romney so badly that you want to hand the Presidency to the democrats, go ahead and vote Huckabee. Or worse, vote McCain and you not only help the democrats win the general election, but you show support for liberalism in the primaries as McCain is deep down as true blue liberal as they come.

Your other option is to sit at home and whine about Romney being a Mormon, or about how he converted to some conservative positions while he was a governor and you wish he’d done it sooner. Or, you can vote for the man, put a conservative–even if he’s a convert on certain conservative issues as was Reagan–up for the nomination and give the country a chance rather than letting the liberals try to socialize the country and watch America fall from its position as a beacon for the world into just another tax and spend socialist empire.

And if you do vote for him, and he does win, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how capable and up to the task he is.

Comment by Dan

John McCain is trying to cheat and lie to win this election. It’s just like when he cheated on his disabled wife and eventually divorced her for his rich, younger mistress.

It’s also like the Keating 5, when McCain cheated the American tax payers out of hundreds of millions of dollars.

Since McCain can’t really talk about his senate record (amnesty, against tax cuts, 50 cent gasoline tax, etc.) he tries to play up his “character”. I think his character is despicable. Cheating on and divorcing a crippled wife, wow that’s bad.

Mitt is going all the way!!!

Hey skippy, so Romney can only win in states with a large Mormon population, huh? I could be wrong but I don’t think there are many Mormons in Michigan or Maine. Moreover, he has finished a strong second barely behind McCain in New Hampshire and Florida as well as a close second to the Huckster in Iowa. If the Huckster hadn’t decided to campaign on his Evangelical credentials and bad mouthed Romney’s religion in Iowa, Romney would have won there as well.

Defend Huckabee all you want but it is obvious what he is up to right now. He has cut a deal with McCain behind closed doors to split the social conservative vote in return for a position as VP or in his cabinet. Thus Huckabee stays in the race and helps deliver the nomination to an over the hill and angry McCain who will proceed to get killed by the Dems in the general election. I would say Huckabee’s self serving motives are glaring at this point which speaks volumes about his true character. It isn’t about the GOP and what is best for conservatives, its all about him and his political future.

An example of the bias of Fox News is the series of news articles preceeding these blogs. It portends to list the campaigns of ALL the candidates. Just look at the top heavy coverage for Romney compared to Huckabee and McCain. What a farcial slogan it has: “Fair and balanced,” it is not.

Frankly, it appears that it blocks out many of the supporters writing in for McCain and Huckabee, and prints heavily for Romney. Again, make the comparison. Yet the crybabies in the Romney camp whine about not getting a fair shake.

Whining and flip-flopping go pretty well together. So, whine away.

Comment by A. Smith

Romney has no idea what he is talking about. I think he doesn’t even know what true conservatism means. He has now resorted to dirty politics in order to gain votes instead of focusing on issues concerning this country. His view on apposing everything that sounds like “unilateral America pays and the rest of the world doesn’t” will make the rest of the world hate us even more.

I am deeply disappointed that the Republican Party is entertaining such nonsense.

-PROFESSIONAL ETHICS: ringleader of the infamous Keating 5 ethical scandal which cost US tax payers $160 billion
-PERSONAL ETHICS: McCain cheated on his first wife after she had a severe accident that left her partially disabled. He then divorced her and married his multi-millionaire mistress, whose daddy bought McCain a spot in the Congress

Dan,

If you even have a tiny bit of common sense, you will realize that none of your accusations discredit McCain. However, McCain has no chance on winning in November because is is too war-obsessed and has focused on very little issues outside of war.

McCain’s image of being an honest straight talker is a media based falacy. The fact of the matter is he changes his positions rapidly. He co-authored this ‘amnesty’ bill that then turned radically unpopular and then he try’s to act like, “oh, I get it, let’s close the borders”. Then he tries to sweep the amnesty part under the rug. He was against the tax cuts but is now for them. He says he needs educating on the economy, and then he denies ever saying it, and thus calls the NY Times liars. Then there is the whole Alito judiciary appointment fiasco. He says he wouldn’t have nominated him because of his conservatism, but then acts as if he wants someone just like him. Then He makes up lies about his main competition right when he knows Romney can’t fight back in time (of course the media tries to rationalize for McCain’s lies). He pays robo-calls to spread complete lies about some cuba-issue against Romney. He acts like he was such a great leader in the Senate. The only leading he did was pandering to the Democrats and trying to cuddle up to the liberal media. He is the opposite of honest or straight talking. He has continually shown dishonesty. Just because he tells Michigan that their jobs are gone, all of the sudden he is such an honest person. The fact of the matter is that McCain, doesn’t know anything about how to get jobs back and so he has no other options than to say sorry your life sucks. The liberal media loves the liberal candidates.

Romney on the other hand has been dealt a near-lethal blow by the liberal media. Not because he is liberal, but because he doesn’t pander to them. He does like to please people as do all politicians, but he doesn’t go around lying and attacking as the media tries to portray. He has always focused on political histories of the candidates he is running against. If McCain thinks an ad about his record is a negative attack ad, then maybe he is trying to run away from his record. Not once have I heard the media say that McCain has attacked Romney, yet he does often and with personal vindictiveness. Consistantly the media runs over Romney while they try to rescue McCain. I am so disappointed that the American public has bought the piece of crap that the media has been serving. The people who know Romney say how smart, dedicated and what a strong leader he is. While the people who know McCain are either scared of being in his cross-hairs or are very cautious of his hot temper and foul mouth. I see McCain being the cross between Bush and Clinton, but with the weaknesses of both, and without their strengths. Wake up people, McCain is a terrible option!!!!!!!

The stakes are high on Super Tuesday for the republican parties’ presidential contenders, but it could not be higher for them than it is for America.
It is very important for the voter to do some homework this weekend so that we as a nation do not end up with a severe case of buyers’ remorse on Wednesday morning. We must be true to our roots and not allow the wolves in sheep’s clothing to rob us blind, and deprive us of who we are, and what we represent as a people once enlightened with the vision of Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan, and George Bush.
There are wolves and they have been running a well coordinated attack, and have already taken some of our associates down. These wolves have us on the run and have begun to strategically divide us, and scatter us in preparation for the final move, the destruction of liberty. They want to chase us down the dark road too socialism. We need to rally around our core principles and adhere to them. We must ensure the safety, and success of our parties’ great but now endangered legacy. We need to rise up with a united voice and cast our vote this coming Tuesday, to the only conservative out there; that man is Mitt Romney. Vote Mitt Romney President of the United States of America in 2008.

Skip,

I care Romney saved the Olympics. I lived in Utah at the time and had no idea who he was when he came to take over the Olympics. He saved the scandal ridden Olympics and saved Utah hundred of millions of dollars. You can ask anybody from Utah and they will tell you he did a heck of a job. I am sorry you don’t care about the Olympics or the citizens of Utah. By the way, I am no longer a resident of Utah, but I am still amazed at what he did.

Clinton health plan may mean tapping pay

By CHARLES BABINGTON
Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) — Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday she might be willing to garnish the wages of workers who refuse to buy health insurance to achieve coverage for all Americans.

The New York senator has criticized presidential rival Barack Obama for pushing a health plan that would not require universal coverage. Clinton has not always specified the enforcement measures she would embrace, but when pressed on ABC’s “This Week,” she said: “I think there are a number of mechanisms” that are possible, including “going after people’s wages …”

“GOING AFTER PEOPLE’S WAGES” …

Skip,

Every time I think that Huckabee supporters might just like the Huckster, I read the comments of a bigot like you and realize that the main thing that motivates most of you is irrational hatred of Mormons. It’s hard to believe that educated people still harbor biases like that, but your posts certainly have the stink of bigotry.

Of course, there isn’t a whole lot of evidence that you’re educated, so perhaps your feelings are understandable.

Shelby,

Its amazing that some people, you included, will repeat anything they hear regardless of fact. Judicialwatch.org was quoting the Associated Press. I guess I’m just not real comfortable that any conservative would get a fair hearing from the AP.

That is a scary name you picked. What is with that?

Skip:

I am sorry you feel the way you do about Mormons. Do you know any? Did you know Hitler built his career by going after a religious group? One of his tactics was to blame their wealth creation on the ills of his own people. Does that sound like a familiar tacktic being used by your candidate? Once Hitler took out the Jews, he went after every other group of people who hindered his thirst for power. Do you understand why so many of us “conservatives” would actively campaign against Huckabee? I’m pro second amendment, but people like you make me wonder…

I’m an independent that tends to vote republican, but always votes for fiscal conservatism. I’m not really sure I get the anti-immigration bent to the Republican party lately. I agree that we need to stop illegal immigration, but I also think that the motivation that fuels the illegal immigration is desireable to our country. Why is supporting guest worker programs and an overhaul of the visa system considered some kind of betrayal? Personally, I’m in favor of amnesty for simple logistic reasons, but I can at least understand the opposition to it on intellectual grounds. Discounting amnesty, why are most self described conservatives (I debate the fact with many of them) so against making legal immigration to the US easier and less time consuming to accomidate demand?

McCain has no integrity. He cheated on his wife who faithfully waited for him for 5 years while he was a POW. Not only that but he divorced his wife and married the girl he was having an affair with. Maybe it was for the money (she’s a billionaire). Or, maybe it was her age (she’s 17 years younger than him). Most of you have probably seen her, she’s the one who looks like a plastic manikin that’s always by his side.

McCain also graduated 5TH FROM THE BOTTOM of his class in the naval academy. 5TH FROM THE BOTTOM PEOPLE!!!

Compare that to Mitt Romney who got a law degree AND master of business degree AT THE SAME TIME from HARVARD and graduated FIRST IN HIS CLASS.

That’s enough information for me to not vote for McCain, no matter who he’s running against. I’d vote for Hillary over the scum bag.

VOTE FOR ROMNEY BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!!!!

Nice smear. McCain and his wife had an uncontested divorce. McCain voluntarily gave her most of the assets of the marriage, and she said the divorce was mutual and that they split on good terms. Romney is the republican that the great conservative bastion of Massachusetts provided for us. Wake up, people….

Firstceb,

I clicked your link and saw the video.. Gotta say it was a little confusing. What i think you were saying, was Romney was somehow wrong to say McCain’s bill was and amnesty bill. Huh? It was an amnesty an bill. Everyone agrees to that point.

Im not a media expert, but a little advice on the vidieo. Make it short and bring your point out quickly. If its too long people just move on.

I’m someone who thought most of the Senate bill was good. Then again, I think other than being a negative buzz word, there’s nothing wrong with a conditional amnesty as a part of immigration reform. One of the initial ideas that I think didn’t make the cut into the McCain immigration bill was a guest worker program, increased visas for legal immigration, and a conditional amnesty program for current residents who had been in the country for an extended period of time… attached to a disqualification of entitlement benefits. I think that’s the critical piece of immigration reform: You want to come here to work for a better life, fine. You want to come here for free bennies, forget it.

The latest polls have Romney leading in both California and Texas, among other states, in spite of the Arnold endorsement (if not because of it.)

Romney’s dominating win over McCain in Maine this weekend (53% to 21%) also points to new momentum for our top social and economic conservative.

Finally, with Rush, Hannity, and pretty much every major conservative talk show host backing Mitt strongly, we could see a few surprises on Super Tuesday!

Mitt for the win!!!

I only wish Huckabee would get out of the race and stop taking away the voice from the conservatives in this party. What chance do we have to make a difference if we cannot unite? Huckabee the preacher seems to have a pride problem. If he wants to be a VP, he should join Romney.

John McCain is unfit to be President, and is completely unelectable if thrown in the ring with Hillary.

New California polls out this morning show Romney leading McCain 40% -32%!

Mitt Romney is our only hope on Tuesday. Huckabe wasn’t even on the radar screen until the liberal media elevated him through his religion well knowing that IA was Evangelical “heavy”. A the same time it trashed Romney and made sure to mention that he was a Mormon. THAT is how Huckabee got ANYWHERE in this race.

Then the media did the same thing with McCain, who was broke, firing his staff, and near the bottom in the polls as recently as December 2007! Knowing that Huckabee had no chance in NH, they puffed up McCain the same way. ALL of this has been orchestrated by the LIBERAL media because they’re scared to death of Mitt Romney knowing that he is by far the strongest GOP candidate and hardest for the Democrats to beat in November.

Mike Huckabee hasn’t won a primary since Iowa and is falling further behind in each race and poll. It is becoming obvious that he is just staying in the race to prevent Mitt Romney from beating McCain. Without him Romney would be winning most of the 22 States in the upcoming Tuesday contest. A vote for Huckabee takes a vote from Romney and benefits only McCain because most of Huckabee’s supporters would favor Romney.

Now the media successfully fragmented the Republican vote and pumped their favorite (and our enemy) RINO McCain. It’s a win win for the Liberal Socialists who are in the process of hijacking the Republican Party AND the country.

Here’s a link to an article that really exposes John McCain for who he is:
http://www.alipac.us/article2920.html

Put some links in your emails to this ad from Citizen’s United: http://media.citizensunited.org/Surprisingly.htm. It’s a killer for McCain.

There is still time to give Romney enough of a push to keep the race competitive after Tuesday. The power of the internet is incredible. Please make use of it! Email ANY and EVERYONE you know who will be voting on Tuesday and let them know just how disastrous it would be to vote for McCain. Educate them as to why and turn them on to Mitt Romney.

I’ve met him on several occasions and was at the MA Rep. convention when we nominated him for Governor there. Tell them to get on the Romney bandwagon and help the guy out at: http://www.mittromney.com.

Besides emails, you can make phone calls AND write/submit letters to editors online and at major metropolitan newspapers http://www.newslink.org/news.html around the country.

HELP STOP RINO JOHN MCCAIN AND HIS SECRET PARTNER, HUCKABEE!!

A vote for RINO (Republican In Name Only) John McCain is a vote for the following:

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION: he wrote the bill granting amnesty to illegal immigrants (co-sponsored by Ted Kennedy).

SOCIAL SECURITY: he voted to give your social security money to illegal immigrants.
TAXES: he voted against the Bush tax cuts multiple times (he has since flip-flopped and has campaigned as a lifelong tax-cutter).

RHETORIC: he routinely engages in Democratic class warfare against big companies in America, particularly the “evil” drug companies who research cures to debilitating diseases for a profit.

ECONOMY: as recently as December 2007 he admitted “he does not know the economy very well” and needed to get better at it.

1ST AMENDMENT: he wrote the McCain-Feingold campaign finance bill that was declared to be an unconstitutional infringement of the 1st Amendment (co-sponsored by ultra-liberal Democrat Russ Feingold).

2ND AMENDMENT: he was called the “worst 2nd amendment candidate” by the president of the NRA.

ENERGY TAX: wrote a bill (co-sponsored by his buddy Lieberman) imposing a massive tax on energy which, according to the Department of Energy, would drastically raise the price of gasoline and put 300,000 Americans out of work.

GLOBAL WARMING: supports radical global warming legislation which involved him voting with every Democrat; think only America is responsible to take action, not other superpowers.

WAR ON TERROR: fought with Hillary Clinton to demand that terrorists be given a full AMERICAN trial.
It’s NOT too late to STOP MCCAIN!
