McCain Confident About Super Tuesday
by Malini Bawa
John McCain flew to Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee Saturday– a lightning quick tour of southern states with Super Tuesday primaries.
After a rally in Nashville, Tennessee, McCain told reporters that he thinks he will win the Republican nomination.

McCain moves to the Northeast on Sunday and Monday. He’ll hit Connecticut, New York City and Massachusetts, taking on Mitt Romney aggressively on his home turf.

Nobody seems to get it. The reason the liberal news media champions McCain is because they know he is a non-too cagey closet liberal and will dance to their tune (at least some of the time), should by some miracle he win in November. And that is what it will take. He hasn’t a snowball chance in hades winning the election otherwise because conservatives like myself will not vote for him.
On the other hand, if Mitt Romney won the nomination and presidency, they know they would have a battle from start to finish with a man who isn’t like them either in integrity (he has some, they don’t), doesn’t seek their counsel, despises their agenda, and is a true conservative. The same whining liberals who keep shouting he is a flip-flopper never had any trouble voting for Kerry who was that in spades. Besides flip-flopping means you go over once, then back over, then over again. He only did that to move to a pro-life position which, oddly enough, is what pro-lifers should hope that all pro-abortionists do, not deride and count it against them when they do!
It is a battle for conservatism versus liberalism and if McCain wins, liberals win.
Don’t get too confident McCain…Huckabee is moving up in the polls and moving up fast. Romney needs to stop wasting his money and step aside. Romney is sliding in the polls and has lost all momentum. Go Huckabee!
McCain shouldn’t be so confident. Romney is actually doing very well and is on the rise in important states like California. With delegates Romney has and as polls are predicting he has a majority in enough states to prevent McCain from getting the delegates he must have to be the candidate. Romney also could still win outright. I would like to have a forced media silence for a week before there is a national primary election and let the people study and vote. It is insane to let the Media bandwagon (everyone is voting for so and so so you should too) determine who is elected.
If you saw the same debate I did in California I saw a shrivelled old man with hatred and venom continually lying even when no one in the room believed he was correct–nasty and conniving wit his infamous foul temper barely under control. I don’t want him anywhere near a nuclear switch. As you know, may Senators have actually questioned McAmnesty’ sanity when he flys off the handle any time he is questioned. Did you actually hear McCain start saying how he was a prisoner of war when asked about the economy? A screw’s loose somewhere in his noggin’!
Next to him sat an elegant, honest healthy and charming man who knew what he was talking about when the economy was raised.
Vote Romney for sanity in government. Vote Romney for the Economy. Vote Romney for foreign Policy! The man is brilliant and wise!
!!!NEW RASMUSSEN POLL ROMNEY AND MCCAIN TIED NATIONALLY!!!!
In the race for the Republican Presidential Nomination, it’s John McCain at 30%, Mitt Romney at 30%, and Mike Huckabee at 21%. Ron Paul is supported by 5% of Likely Republican Primary Voters (see recent daily numbers). Romney leads by sixteen percentage points among conservatives while McCain has a two-to-one advantage among moderate Primary Voters.
I am hoping FOX will run this as Rasmussen is the gold standard on polling.
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll
Romney lost Iowa after spending millions. Romney lost New Hampshire after spending millions. Romney lost SC after spending millions. Romney lost Florida after spending millions. What does that tell you? He is good at losing and spending millions while doing it. I am sure he can spend your money just as well as he spent not only his, but the $730 million of Massachusetts taxpayers money.
Romney won Wyoming which no other candidate campaigned for, none. Romney won Nevada which only Ron Paul contested. Romney won Michigan which is where he was born and his father was a 3 term Governor. Of course he should of won those.
Huckabee is statistically TIED with Romney nationally according to the RCP average. If you look at polls for Super Tuesday, Huckabee is ahead of Romney in more of them than he is behind. So exactly who is spitting the vote here?
You want to know what Romney stands for? The video below is of a news broadcast talking about Romney’s new tactic to win the White House. Is this who you want as your President?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jk6IJS3QN34
Joseph,
Romney is simply repeating what basically every political analyst and media expert have been saying ever since Florida.
If you want to call him dishonest, then you’ll have to call all of them dishonest as well!
If you look at the numbers in the Super Tuesday states, Huckabee is just not competetive in enough of them to ad up the delegates. Romney is competetive in nearly every state and therefore has a much more likely chance of winning than Huckabee.
Zogby and Rasmussen both said they don’t think Huckabee has a chance to make it past Super Tuesday, and if you can’t believe two expert pollsters, then I don’t know who you can believe!
MITT ROMNEY IS GOING ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE!!!
THUMB
YOU ARE DELUSIONAL!!!
Huckabee supporters…Try to read between the lines. Your being used!!!! Stop being sheep and watching those stuppid polls! The MSM is trying to get McCain the nomination so they can sink him with his record and the dems will win. Wake up and read between the lines!
Joseph- Your a tool! This is a two person race…You just know it yet!
Just because a lie is repeated by many people, doesn’t make it true. It is one thing for pundits and bloggers to say it is a two-man race, but it is quite another for Gov. Romney to do it himself. It just isn’t true. Those robo calls are being made in states that haven’t voted yet and that could make a big difference in the outcome of the delegate count. It is a very dirty trick for him to tell voters, (many of which don’t follow the details of the election closely) that this is now a two man race.
If Romney is such a good candidate, why does he need to spend so much and have all the conservative talking heads pushing him? Why can’t he sell himself? It’s like the incarnation of the story of the Emperor’s New Clothes. We are all supposed to wink and nod and believe that he’s a conservative, when anyone with eyes can watch him say things that prove the contrary. (Countless instances of debate footage from various elections where he emphatically states that he is FOR a woman’s right to choose, that he was an independant during Reagan-Bush and doesn’t want to go back to Reagan-Bush, that he will do more for gay marriage than Ted Kennedy…)
Huckabee won me over when I took the time to look over his record as governor in AR. Then I noticed how powerfully he communicated his message and connected with people. I think it is this gift that has made the MSM (including the drive-by conservative hosts) shy away from letting him speak. (Anyone notice the disparity of time given to Huckabee at the Florida and California debates? Romney and McCain got literally twice as much time AND much more substantive questions. )
I will never vote for Romney. I would sooner see McCain win, whose stances I don’t always agree with but I know, than help a man whose character I don’t trust.
Some comments, such as Joseph’s, are So Ignorant. Gov. Romney has not spent any Massachusetts tax revenue on his campaign. Romney has RAISED the most money in donations simply because HE IS THE BEST CANDIDATE! Romney is wealthy because he has excellent economic expertise and knows how to turn a failing company into a successful one. He is the one candidate with the know how to deal with our national economic problems. Wild false accusations accusations do not help your candidate, Huckabee. It only causes one to think Huckabee votes are based on emotion, not in facts or substance.
Joseph,
You Huckabee folks just cannot get over the fact that Mitt Romney has money and is willing to use it in his campaign! And has also received the most contributions of all the Republican candidates. It’s not his fault Huckabee can’t get people to donate. Give me a break!
And as far as your distortion about taxes goes:
Factcheck.org says “most of what Romney raised was in the form of fees, not taxes, such as court filings and firearm licensing fees. But he also closed loopholes on corporate taxes. There is disagreement on the total amount as well, with the state Department of Administration and Finance putting the fee total at $260 million a year and the corporate tax change at $174 million a year”
By the way, Huckabee:
won Iowa
lost New Hampshire
lost Wyoming
lost Michigan
lost Nevada
lost South Carolina (where he should have won)
lost Florida
Out of the 7 contests so far Romney has 3 golds, 3 silvers and 1 bronze!
Huckabee has 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze!
THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING!
As far as the RCP average goes, two polls taken the same day have two dramatically different results, with one having Romney in second place and the other having him tied with McCain.
Either way, he’s ahead of Huckabee and will stay that way! Huckabee will have no choice but to drop out of the race after Super Tuesday, and Romney is going to keep fighting on with the swell of conservative support that is rallying behind him!
DON’T CROWN YOURSELF YET, MCCAIN!!!
MITT ROMNEY IS GOING ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE!!!
Just learned Gov. Romney is winning the Maine caucus. Maine voters are smart, independent, clear thinking people who recognize Gov. Romney has the most to offer our nation and their state. Governor Romney has proven economic expertise, new vision and ideas, dynamic energy and sound judgment. He is a dynamic leader who can bring genuine change to Washington.
MANY, MANY, MANY CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS WILL NOT VOTE FOR McCain SINCE HE DOES NOT HOLD TO TRUE REPUBLICAN PRINCIPLES.
New endorsements today for McCain by the conservative Georgia Senators, Isakson and Chambliss.
The Rombots need to update their list because McCain has been endorsed by many more members of Congress than they are posting (and more than Romney has) So, you can’t cling to that claim anymore either. Your candidate still has the best hair though. Tuesday can’t get here soon enough so we can quit seeing these same posts over and over from the Rombots once Romney gets demolished by the good people of the Super Tuesday states.

This country needs strong, new, leadership and Mitt Romney is the person who can fill that need, as well as keep our conservative principles in tact!
Keep going strong Romney, Republicans who refuse to sell out our party are behind you all the way!
MITT ROMNEY FOR PRESIDENT!!!!
For some reason this site won’t let me post Micheal Reagan’s (Ronald Reagan’s son) article from his website about how he feels about Senator McCain. To read entire article go to:
http://www.reagan.com/column.cfm?id=52
Hey Alicia…you should check out the REAL facts on John McCain (you obviously have not), and then judge character, Mitt will look like a saint then. But actually, you are an example of the problem our party is facing. Huckabee is a phony, a true wolf in sheep’s clothing. A man supposedly of conviction, but constantly is on the personal attack of Romney, something he so pompously acted above in IA. He makes more personal attacks (not to mention stupid jokes) than anyone else, and then thinks it’s funny. You want that kind of a character as your president? Let alone, someone who has so little conviction, he is putting our party in serious jeopardy to advance his own personal gain…he’s just wanting the VP under dictator McCain. Or, maybe you are just hoping for a personl highway system in your state to cut down on your commute time…Huck’s solution to the economy.
to lonestar,
Does it surprise anyone that Washington insiders are endorsing a fellow Washington insider?
Mitt Romney is promising to come in and shake things up in Washington!!! That probably doesn’t sit real well with most folks sitting up there on Capitol Hill!
McCain has ties and promises and favors owed, he is part of the problem in Washington, not the solution!
The Republican people, not willing to sell out our party, are behind Mitt Romney and are going to keep fighting for him all the way to the White House!!!
MITT ROMNEY FOR PRESIDENT!!!
The only people that endorse McCain are WASHINTON INSIDERS, LIBERALS, LIBERAL MEDIA OUTLETS, POLITICIANS SEEKING PERSONAL GAIN, and others that have no backbone to support the best candidate, Romney, and save our party and nation. They are just exactly like McCain, and scared of real change.
The reconquista of our Southwest lands! The demolition of the conservative ideology!
I have voted Republican ever since I was able to vote for the first time back in the 1980’s. However, I will NEVER vote for McCain. For those of us who are “political junkies” and follow these things closely, McCain has proved to us over the years how truly liberal he is. Now he’s trying to fool us by claiming to be a conservative? I don’t think so! I look at people’s actions, not their words. Look at McCain-Feingold, a direct attack on our first amendment rights. How about the Keating Five scandal involving four Democrats and one Republican - McCain? Also, McCain was only 1 of 2 Republicans to vote against Bush’s tax cuts. At the time, he said he opposed them because they favored the rich. Now he says he opposed them because they didn’t cut spending. How about McCain leading the “Gang of 14″ in 2005? The latest debacle was the Amnesty Bill that McCain tried to secretly push through in 2007 until word leaked out and the American people flooded Washington with so many calls that it practically shut down the switchboard! There are so many other examples of him working AGAINST conservatives that it makes me ill.
I pray every day that the conservatives in this country would wake up! Please spend as much time researching your candidates as you do when you consider purchasing a vehicle! Don’t listen to the mainstream media, who fall over themselves with “McCain love”. That fact alone should be a warning flag!
I was a Fred Thompson supporter, but now I’m behind Romney. If McCain gets the nomination, I will sit at home in November. I cannot pull the lever for him and lay my head on the pillow at night with a clear conscience.
Why does John McCain refuse to keep his word and debate Mitt Romney on Meet the Press?
The last time McCain was on Tim Russert’s program, Russert asked McCain if he would be willing to come on with Romney and have a debate about the economy. McCain said he would, but as we have learned, he’s not always accurate in the truth!
Romney readily agreed to debate McCain, but somehow McCain just can’t find the time for said debate now!
Well, I wonder why, is it because Romney would make McCain look like an utter fool? Yep, you got it!!!
In the California debate, it was patently obvious that MCCAIN DOESN’T HAVE A CLUE ABOUT THE ECONOMY! McCain: “We need to do some investigation into the housing subprime…uh….housing problem” That’s about it folks, then we got to hear this several times “I was a foot-soldier in the Reagan revolution”! Okay, but are you qualified to be the leader of the free world? NO!!!
Mitt Romney is clearly the best candidate to fix the problems our country is facing! His experience and leadership ability is unmatched by any other candidate!
GO MITT ROMNEY!!! ALL THE WAY!!!
After sending the first email, I was challenged by a few people on my view of McCain, so I pulled up McCain’s voting record here is just a small sample of his votes:1. Vote 367:HR 3093, votes no on increasing funds to fight criminal illegal aliens. 2.Vote 196:S 1348, votes no on increased border security with a biometric system. 3. Vote 227: HR 5631, he votes no on giving the Navy more money to get more advanced systems. 4. Vote 206:HR 810, he votes yes on stem cell research. 5.Vote 178:S 2766 , he votes no on pressuring Iraq to stop giving amnesty to people who have killed, attacked or wounded our soldiers. 6. Vote 112:HR 4939, he votes no on supplemental appropriations Act for Defense, the Global war on terror, and Hurricane recovery, 2006. 7. Vote 111:HR 4939, he votes no on providing $20,000,000 for the Department of Veterans Affairs for Medical Facilities. 8. Vote 98:HR 4939 votes no on providing $430,000,000 for the Department of Veterans Affairs for Medical Services for wounded soldiers outpatient care and treatment of veterans. 9.Vote 344, a John Kerry amendment to make combat pay considered earned income, which has never been done, McCain votes yes. 10. Vote 151:HR 6, he votes yes on another Kerry amendment on global warming, placing us under the authority of the United Nations regulations. Just today on the way home from work Laura Ingram program played a tape of McCain and Hillary Clinton sitting together in an interview in 2005, when McCain was asked whether Hillary would make a good president, he said, “Yes, I believe she would make a good president.” Deuteronomy 17:14-15 states, 14. When thou art come unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me; 15. Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the Lord thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thous mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother.” Notice God “chooses” and then we are to “set” His choice. It is possible for us then to set someone He did not choose. We are to choose a leader that is a Christian. I will flatly unashamedly tell you, anyone who is for abortion is not a Christian, period! Again, let me state, each one of us are making more of a statement than vote, we are putting our stamp of approval that this is God’s man. Excuses like, “Well I don’t know if Huckabee could win in the general election.” That is not an excuse that God will except. One final fact, the records show that McCain has missed 251 votes during this session of congress.
Rodney
I almost wasted my vote in the Fla. Primary by voting for McCain… against Romney.
I am sooo… glad I stayed with my first choice and voted for Huckabee. I have been following Mike since he was at about 4%. I believe in the “Fair Tax” (www.fairtax.org) And, I believe in Mike.
For those voting in this Tuesday’s primaries, don’t give in. Vote with your heart. Vote for Huckabee!
Thanks, Wwilki
Joseph,
Romney has won how many??? 4… Huck has won how many? 1… and who is holding the other down?
Look at the latest Rasmusan poll… Romney and McCain is tied with 30. and Huck is back with 21. Who is holding the other down???
Huck guys are changing positions and making a difference. Thanks to those that are seeing the light.
VOTE MITT.
Wwilki…
Nice waste of a vote. Great job, that is why we have issues with liberals right now. Glad others are switching right as I type.
Mitt has the money… Huck does not… plain and simple math here.
All those endoresements for McCain? Don’t make me laugh.
We talk of politicians who are in bed with special interests and lobbyists. This is just an incestuous collection of other cronies who are similar compromised and want to be ‘on the in’, looking for a place to roost.
Actually, I’m kind of glad they are endorsing McCain. When they all complain of Romney’s money in the election, you should decode that in your mind as meaning he is the one candidate in this debate who remains independent and not bought. That is why they fear him so greatly. I would be worried if my favorite candidate WERE getting the lion’s share of endorsements. But, not a one of them have come to the podium and said, “Wow, McCain wrote this outstanding piece of legislation, or McCain was instrumental in doing this great deed for our region or state…. ” “great American, POW, nice guy” that’s all they say. NOTHING OF SUBSTANCE… to me that is terribly odd as a former McCain supporter.
Such are meaningless to those who are already beholden to special interests.
I have made it a point to read the record. It is a compelling read, and those who have expressed their opinions of McCain as an intemperate, mean-spirited, quasi-liberal are pretty much on the mark.
Lonestar… you are so gullible. Of course the Senate and Congress support one another. It has been done for many many elections. Why should they indorse an outsider. This is exactly what MITT has been saying and proves that he is NOT a Washington insider.
VOTE MITT and get corruption out of Washington! Also make your voices heard in the location elections. Don’t send the incumbents back to Washington.
Whoa!! Mitt has just blown McCain way in Maine. Over 50 percent For mit. 20 or less for McCaine.
Cant remember if anyone voted for Huck. Howcome we never hear about these blowout for Mitt on Fox and others untill after its done. And then its played way down/ Hmmmm
Beeper-
Huckabee is at only 6% with 68% of precints in.
So all the Huckabee supporters- where is his winning strategy? For Pete’s sake, he is getting blown out by Ron Paul in Maine.
Vote with your heart (emotions)=liberals (remember all the “I voted for Bill ’cause he’s so cute”)
Vote with your head (facts, realism)=conservative
Vote to save the country = Mitt Romney!
All I ask of my fellow republicans is to take the time to research the candidates records. I don’t mean listen to what the media says. For example, many people are praising Romney as the only conservative candidate. I dare you, I challenge you to go to True Romney.com. It is documented facts, not opinions or talking points. It will give you the references to back up their statements, including media clips, photos etc. For example, ask governor Romney why that out of his 36 judicial nominees, why only 9 were republican! On Meet the Press Romney claims to have received the endorsement of the NRA in the 2002 governor race, he lied, they supported the democratic opponent! In 1994 the Gay and Lesbian paper called, “Bay Windows” has a picture of Romney on the front page, with this quote, “Romney: I’ll be better than Ted for gay rights! Why did Romney and his wife attend a Planned Parenthood fundraising event and then donated $150? Ask Romney why he supported a Gay and Lesbian Youth Day and spent $100,000’s of tax dollars for it. Ask Mitt why he now attacks Huckabee, yet in 2005 said that Huckabee would make a good president; by the way, that is partly because Huckabee was voted in to be chairman over all 50 governors! How close to be president can you get? Ask Mitt why in a poll 70% of the people from Mass. Said that Mitt was doing a fair to poor job as governor. Ask Mitt, why did he slam Huckabee for wanting to help the children of illegal immigrants go to college when this is Mitt’s own quote, “I hate the idea in anyway making it more difficult for kids, even those who are illegal aliens, to afford college in our state.” Why did he recently say that he has always been a republican, when in fact in the 90’s he was an Independent? I could go on and on! It’s time for the gloves to come off! I believe so strongly that Mitt is not the conservative many of you are claiming him to be that I will challenge any of you to an open debate with the facts! I will even consider flying somewhere if needed. Otherwise, put up or shut-up, this includes Laura Ingram who I have lost all respect for today, she claims to be pro-life, yet is endorsing Mitt. There is only one candidate that has consistently voted pro-life and that is Huckabee. Wake up America! Mitt Romney is not the conservative he claims to be, and McCain is about as liberal as you can get and still call yourself a Republican!
Dean, Well said.
lonestar,
Washington is a boys club. They all get together and do favors for one another. That is why McCain has so many endorsements from Washington insiders. For you and me, that isn’t a good thing. When has any professional politician like McCain ever accomplished anything for you and I?
In the last debate, McCain made a comment about Romney knowing how to fire people. I sure hope he gets to Washington and can get rid of some of the pro politicians. They sit on their butt and do nothing. Think about it. If McCain was in the private sector, would he still be employed? I doubt it.
He still talks about him being a soldier. How many years ago was that? If you don’t have any more recent accomplishments than that on your resume, there is definitely something wrong.
Mitt won Maine. He has won four contests so far, and McCain has won one. If conservatives wake up, Mitt should do well on Tuesday.
http://www.conservativesformitt.blogspot.com
McCAIN HAS WON ON THE OLD PEOPLE’S VOTE PERIOD. IM STILL TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT HE IS SMOKEING, BECUASE I KNOW HE’S HIGH IF HE BELIEVES HE REALLY HAS A CHANCE… JUST TO PISS MY PARTY OFF I WOULD SELL MY SOUL AND VOTE FOR HILLARY IF HE WINS..
Dano, if you think Mitt is a conservative you are crazy! I dare you to go to TrueRomney.com. Then come back and we will talk.
Black Republican, you are so right! I will not vote for McCain no matter what, if we do we will forever lower the standards of what a true republican. But likewise, I will never vote for Romney. I have not made a rash decision, I have researched intensly. Please go to TrueRomney.com. I will vote for Huckabee.
Don’t get too excited yet McCain, it’s not over yet!!
see what hugh hewitt has to say about the race:
http://hughhewitt.townhall.com/blog/g/f80b5d3e-9f1b-4c0e-bc7a-788aec0ffb4f
Dano,
As a fellow Mitt Romney supporter, I thought I’d help you fix your mistake: Romney has won 4, McCain has won 3, and Huckabee has won 1.
MITT ROMNEY FOR PRESIDENT!!!
Anna can you please give me some facts, not talking points of why you are voting for Mitt. Have you done your own research? God to TrueRomney.com, which will not give you spin, nor talking points, but you will watch videos of Romney, see newspaper articles such as the “Bay Window” with Romney’s picture on the front page with the caption: Romney: I will be better for Gay rights than Ted.
Huckabee is not in this for POTUS. He is in it for the VP. He is staying in as a spoiler for McCain. Watch if Romney drops out, Huck will soon follow. But if huck gets the VP spot or some cabaniet position, whats that going to do to the party. We will all be infuriated by this deciet. There is trouble a brewing.
John McCain will essentially represent W’s third term and wants more wars. The Democratic nominee will absolutely cream him in Novemember!
The only hope Republicans have is Mike Huckabee!
http://www.mikehuckabee.com
In John McCains own words:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nqtL-P8kzo
If I was looking for an absolutely perfect candidate, who had never made any mistakes, I would never find such a candidate, because that type of person has never been involved in politics.
Every person who has been in political life has made decisions they now regret. But when I compare and contrast each candidate, their records, their character, their personal lives, their families, their experience, their knowledge, their leadership ability, their accomplishments, their plan and vision for the future:
THERE IS ONE CLEAR CHOICE……ONE CANDIDATE WHO BRINGS THE MOST TO THE TABLE…..ONE CANDIDATE WHOSE PERSONAL LIFE IS STELLAR AND HIS FAMILY IS AMAZING…..ONE CANDIDATE WHO HAS PROVEN LEADERSHIP ABILITY AND AMAZING ACCOMPLISHMENTS….ONE CANDIDATE WHOSE BRILLIANCE MAKES HIM CAPABLE OF FILLING ALL ASPECTS OF THE PRESIDENCY….
ONE CANDIDATE FOR THE NATION…..ONE PRESIDENT…….MITT ROMNEY!!!!
Beeper, stop beeping. Have you met Huckabee, I have! We shouldn’t even be talking about McCain winning, but apparently there is a lot of liars out there, I cannot find anyone who will admit they are voting for him. If we all do not want him in, let us vote for the most qualified, a man who has been a governor for over 10 years, a man who even all 50 governors voted to be their chairman, a man, that even Mitt Romney in 2005 said would make a good president. That man is Mike Huckabee!
Rodney,
I dare you to go to MittRomney.com and find out the truth!
Quite telling us to go to a anti-romney site put out by Huckabee supporters. No duh it’s going to have a lot of crap that backs up what you want to say.
Leroy,
Yeah, our hope lies in someone who is beating undecided in Maine 6% to 2%! Great strategy. The more I lose, the more free publicity I get because my supporters are too cheap to donate. But that’s ok, because tomorrow in church, they are all going to be told to support me or burn for eternity. Just hope the IRS doesn’t look in because endorsing candidates violates tax-exempt status. And even if Huckabee did great on Tuesday and Romney drops out- Huck’s lips are stuck so hard on McAmnesty that he won’t be able to compete against him or he will look like a real flip flop waffle king! So this is going to work how?
Dean, I will ask you as a fellow republican, I will go to MittRomney.com for the next 10 minutes if you will go to TrueRomney.com for the next 10 minutes.
I have a feeling mccain won’t be looking so confident in a couple of weeks. Yes, he’ll do well on super tuesday but its long shot to assume he’ll have the nomination wrapped up then. With hucks stubbornness and Romney’s comeback business/olympic/government revival record mccain better be hoping the republican party even throws him a bone at the convention. Its gonna be brokered and the only support he’ll be garnering is those delegates who are required to vote for him by state rules. he won’t be doing too well when he hits the back side of this media super tuesday build up. thats when the more conservative states vote and it won’t bode well at all for him. Enjoy the day in sun cuz the honeymoon will be over soon.
Dean, by the way you have no idea what you are talking about. When a minister steps into a pulpit they do not loose their freedom of speach. They can plainly tell the congregation who they are voting for, they simply cannot tell the people who to vote for.
Rodney,
I know more than you.

And as I told you before, I went to your website a couple days ago. If you get the sponsor of the website to identify himself (at the bottom it only says “individual”), where he gets his money for the site from, and who he supports, then maybe I will listen. Until then no way.
Bet you never went that far in the site did you?
Rod,
In case you try to weasel your way again- also from page 7 of the same link above:
Example 2: Minister B is the minister of Church K. Church K publishes
a monthly church newsletter that is distributed to all church
members. In each issue, Minister B has a column titled “My
Views.” The month before the election, Minister B states in the
“My Views” column, “It is my personal opinion that Candidate U
should be reelected.” For that one issue, Minister B pays from his
personal funds the portion of the cost of the newsletter attributable
to the “My Views” column. Even though he paid part of the cost
of the newsletter, the newsletter is an official publication of the
church. Since the endorsement appeared in an official publication
of Church K, it constitutes campaign intervention attributed to
Church K.
If the minister gives his opinion, he is breaking the rules.
Rodney, Huck’s a good guy, but he cannot beat McCain. Sorry bro, but it ain’t gonna happen. If I have to choose between Huck and McCain, I’ll choose Huck hands down.
But he will lose to McCain. I’m not doing anything other than speaking from facts. He has as much chance of becoming President as the Cowboys have at winning today’s Superbowl.
Sure, he might nail a few more states, but it won’t be enough. Sorry dude, the party’s over.
Speaking of Dallas,
GO GIANTS! (Even if Romney is a Patriot’s fan, just assuming).
Having been born in WI, I still bleed green and gold and if my Pack can’t be there, then NFC all the way!
Rod,
Where do you live? I have some friends of mine from the IRS that might want to go to church with you!
Ya know, I really get tired sometimes talking to people. Just today, I went for a haircut. The stylist was nice and probably around 45 years old.
I, making smalltalk, commented on our pleasant weather (65 and sunny) and said it was also 18 degrees in Fargo. She said “wheres Fargo”?
Do you see where this is going? I understand God blessed some more than others, but pick up a book or read some news every now and then people.
On the other hand, my tax man, a brilliant and retired Air Force Vet, said he’s for Romney. He’s also afraid that the split will catapult McCain to the Nomination.
So the moral of the story is: Get your facts straight before we concede the White House to liberals….
Geez- not just the IRS, but the NFL too???
http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=4229536&page=1
Some congregations that throw parties to watch the big game and possibly convert a few nonbelievers may be in violation of National Football League policy and could face legal action. According to the league, the churches are violating NFL copyright by airing games on large-screen TV sets and by charging admission.
Next thing you know, God will have some rules about what goes on in church.
Hilary and McCain are the same. McCain believes in global warming and sides with Ted Kennedy…enough said!
Rodney
No i havn’t met Huck. Although i wish i could. Mabey he would’nt seem so phoney in person. Tv can give a skewed impression of someone. But untill i have the opportunity to see him in person, I can only go with what im have.
Definitely Go Giants! They deserve to win the way they’ve played. Besides, the Pats have gotten their fair share this decade, huh?
Oh well, within a few years they’ll be broadcasting everything in Spanish, and we’ll be watching the Superbowl with English subtitles if the liberals get their way.
“McCain has ties and promises to Washington D.C….” He is part of the problem. To make the real changes needed for this country, the real honest person with business experience to start getting rid of the national debt is Romney. Look at your main 3 issues you want from your president. The economic future of America has got to be one of them. Only Romney can be trusted to be the real conservative.
Romney wins Maine, even though both of Maine’s Senators ENDORSED MCCAIN!
Tells you something, doesn’t it? I was going to take my son to see the new Rambo movie, until Stallone came out to support McCain.
I told my son, “why give money to a man that supports a man that wants to sell us out”? With all of McCain’s endorsements, it’s one more reason to not trust the machine.
The well-oiled machine that wants to keep the status quo the status quo. I say get rid of all these professional politicians one by one, and start with McCain!!!
You know, all the talk about the candidates past positions have some bearing on our decison. But consider this. 5 minutes after being sworn in the world will be different place. It will continually be evolving and changing. The real quality a prez needs is the ability to mentally move with the changeing reality. Who is best at this? Romney i think is certainly the smartest of them all. His experience in the fast paced world of private sector economy has given me reason to believe he would be most capable. McCain does’nt stike me as being very mentally adgile. Huck is pretty dogmatic. So I think Mitt should be our Logical selection.
Here is a link to Michael Reagan’s web site. (President Reagan’s son) He has some interesting things to say about John McCain. Check it out, it’s a great read!!!

“If you’re a conservative, there really is only one place to go right now. I would even argue further than that. If you are a Republican in the broadest sense, there is only one place to go right now, and that’s Mitt Romney.
– Senator Rick Santorum
Here’s what the CEO of one of the businesses Romney helped said about Romney’s LEADERSHIP:
Boston, MA – Today, Staples Founder Thomas Stemberg released the following statement regarding Governor Romney’s record of growing businesses and creating jobs:
“At this critical time for our economy, the United States needs a leader in Washington who actually has a record in the private sector of creating jobs. That leader is Mitt Romney. He knows what it takes to create jobs because he has done it time and time again. As a businessman, Governor Romney took a chance and invested in the first Staples store. Today, tens of thousands of Staples employees across this country have jobs because of that decision. That’s a clear record of action that Mitt Romney repeated time after time. Washington needs leaders who can do more than just talk about creating jobs.”

Pride preceeds the fall…and great is the fall thereof! Our Republic and our freedom is at stake!!! Vote Romeney
On Super Tuesday let conservative voices be heard on the ballots not on polls or media. Vote For Mitt Romney!!! McCain’s liberal views are not whats Republican partys all about. We conservative will be heard on the ballots
to Rodney
Please don’t insult me by suggesting that because I am not voting for your candidate, that I am ignorant and uninformed.
I have spent hours and hours, over the past year, researching each candidate in every way
possible. And though I have not found any of them to be perfect, I have chosen to vote for the one that I think will do the best job as President!
ROMNEY
Just so you know, I’ve visited the website you posted, and it’s nothing I haven’t heard before. Do I wish Mitt Romney hadn’t ever been liberal on social issues like Rudy Giuliani and Arnold, of course. But his record in Massachusettes was consistently conservative on social issues. He was a pro-life governor, and I think actions speak louder than words.
He led a successful business for over 25 years, helped turn around and save hundreds of companies including several well-known ones like Dominoes, Staples and Sports Authority, and resulted in the saving and creation of thousands of jobs.
I see him as the most knowledgable about the economy, clearly his experience backs up this notion.
He took over the 2002 Olympics when it was facing scandal and bankruptcy. Once again he proved his ability to solve big problems and lead effectively. He got the job done, he led over 25,000 volunteers, made the necessary changes to erase the debt, and had to coordinate a huge security undertaking only a few months after 911. The Olympics of 2002 are considered by many, including myself as I watched from afar, to be the most successful in recent memory!
As I have already stated, as Governor of Massachusettes, his record was conservative. When he inherited a deficit, and a recession, he decided instead of raising taxes on everyone to cover the deficit, the more conservative thing to do would be to raise outdated fees. He balanced the budget every year he was in office, and left a 2 Billion dollar rainy day fund when he left office.
He also initiated a one of a kind health insurance plan that enabled the citizens of his state to get insurance through private companies, and not through the government. Over 300,000 people who were previously uninsured, have chosen to participate in the plan, and the only reason they are facing a budget shortfall in the program, is because there were thousands more who have decided to sign up than was initially expected. For something this ground-breaking and revolutionary to have been passed and implemented in the four short years Gov. Romney was in office, is almost unheard of! It speaks volumes of his leadership and knowledge.
Now to his personal life and character. I have been extremely impressed by the Romney family. They have a closeness and love for each other that many families would envy. His history has no scandals, no secrets, no skeletons hiding in the closets, he is a good, honest, hard-working man with great family values and morals. I would be proud to have the Romney family in the White House.
MCCAIN
My reasons for not voting for McCain range from his personal life (extramarital affairs, and bad-tempered outbursts) to bad legislation (most recently McCain/Kennedy)—I have no doubt that if he were to become President, that another amnesty bill would be passed!
HUCKABEE
I find Huckabee easier to tolerate than McCain and don’t think he’s as bad as some have tried to paint him, but the ethics issues that have been raised, plus his being somewhat soft on crime, and not too reluctant to raise taxes have turned me off.
His blatant pandering to the Evangelicals is very distasteful to me. He wants them to vote for him solely because he shares their religion, which I view as insulting.
And while I’m sure Huckabee’s family is great, I haven’t gotten a chance to see them. No where on his website could I find a single picture of his family or anything about them, other than his wife. The contrast between Huckabee’s and Romney’s websites is huge when it comes to family!
NOW BACK TO ROMNEY:
CLEARLY THE BEST MAN FOR THE JOB, THE ONE WE NEED TO SHAKE THINGS UP IN WASHINGTON AND START GETTING THINGS DONE! THE THINGS WASHINGTON HAS TALKED ABOUT AND PROMISED US FOR YEARS AND YEARS, WILL FINALLY START GETTING DONE WHEN MITT ROMNEY BECOMES THE PRESIDENT! AND FRANKLY, I CAN’T WAIT!!
McCain’s voting record here is just a small sample of his votes:1. Just today on the way home from work Laura Ingram program played a tape of McCain and Hillary Clinton sitting together in an interview in 2005, when McCain was asked whether Hillary would make a good president, he said, “Yes, I believe she would make a good president.”
Again, a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain. A vote for McCain is a vote for Hillary.
