Romney: “Battle for the Heart of the Republican Party”
Denver, CO–
In the run-up to Super Tuesday, Mitt Romney is trying to brand himself as the defender of the Republican Party. He has said several times over the past few days that the fight between himself and John McCain is a “battle for the heart of the Republican Party.” By claiming that McCain’s legislation is “liberal,” he is positioning himself as the true conservative of the two.
“I think there’s going to be a real battle here for which way the Republican Party’s going to head,” Romney said to reporters. “Are we going to follow a course where we opposed the Bush tax cuts, where we are in favor of amnesty for those who’ve come here illegally, where we are for campaign finance restrictions, which caused people like George Soros to get a huge leg up, and where we’re looking for a 50-cent per gallon charge on gasoline in the name of reducing global warming.”
He already has conservative talk radio on his side with both Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham endorsing Romney. Rush Limbaugh, although not endorsing, has been talking positively about the former Massachusetts governor. Yesterday, he spoke about the “battle” for the party at a rally in the conservative enclave of Orange County, California:
“What is going to be the heart and soul of the Republican Party? What are we going to stand for? Now you got two people, really, at this point, that have narrowed down the race,” Romney said. “It has come down basically to a two person race and we are different Senator McCain and I…In just five days the decision is going to be what’s the direction of the Republican Party and you are going to make that decision.”
The campaign believes that by uniting the conservative base they can defeat John McCain on February 5th or at the very least have the process go on past that date and try to pick up more delegates in post Super Tuesday states like Texas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
Yesterday, the campaign put out a memo to “Interested Parties” laying out the plan to try to bring conservatives together. They note that their polling shows that in New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Florida McCain won with the “support of moderates, self-identified independents, and voters who disapprove of the Bush administration.” The memo acknowledges an “uphill battle” for the campaign but says, “it will not take very many conservatives moving to Romney to disrupt McCain’s victory formula.”

Actually you might want to have a look at Factcheck.org. According to them McCain is actually the one telling the truth the majority of the time while Romney’s rhetoric is best described as total fiction on a MULTITUDE of issues. I do however find it amusing how all the Romney supporters cry about McCain lying while the interest groups who actually research and check the facts over and over say the exact opposite.
McCain found the “heart”, Romney found Rush, Ann Coulter, and Sean Hannity!!!
A vote for McCain is a vote against Romney. If Romney is the Republican nominee, I will vote for the Democratic nominee for the first time since 1978.
You can’t trust every website that you come across Scott, even if it does have a .org at the end. But, you can take this fact to the bank–McCain lied by completely misrepresenting Romney’s view on timetables and refuses to admit his error.
Rally 4 Romney America! We must stop McCain before he ruins our party!
We need a candidate that will do exactly what us radio talk show hosts and elites tell him to do…We need Romney because he won’t do what’s best for the country, he’ll do what we tell him to do! We don’t want an independent thinker that puts the country over the Republican Party.
Can anyone person honestly refute that claim that McCain is more liberal than democrat? Can anyone refute his amnesty program (McCain-Kennedy) and then his flip to not even being willing to say he would/wouldn’t sign his own bill as president. McCain may have started out on the right side of the fence….but then he sat on the fence for awhile…and at some point he jumped off on the left side. Talk about a flip-flopper…. Try someone who has to dig back 30 yrs to find anything conservative in their record, when any idiot can point to the last 5 yrs and find tons of completely liberal things that define their record. McCain isn’t the man for the job. My vote is for Romney!
Fox News has to be the most Neo Conservative network! Makes me ill! My primary vote will go towards Barack Obama come black Tuesday. Obama is an intellectual proficient individual who will revolutionize America to what is suppose to be. It’s time for change and Obama is the exact person to take on this role. Slap on the face for the conservatives.
That is pretty funny! Everyone in the story above calls it a two man race. That could be right if they were talking about McCain and Huckabee. Romney and Huckabee are tied in all the newest polls and Huckabee leads Romney in virtually all the Super Tuesday states except Utah and Illinois. Fox news continues there unfair and biast news coverage.
Romney: 1994: “I was an independent during the time of Reagan/Bush. I’m not trying to return to Reagan/Bush.”
Romney: 2002 “I will preserve and protect a woman’s right to choose.”
The conservative ideology needs to diminish completely!
Mark,
Polls obviously don’t mean much, given how often they have been wrong. History, however, tells a pretty clear story. Huckabee, while a good christian guy, has not been able to pull enough support outside of the evangelical christian arena to win. That is history and shown in the data to be fact….not some liberal pollster speculation of the future.
McCain is a maverick against all conservatives. If Huckleberry would just drop out Romney would be our nominee. We need every conservative vote to win this race. Someone tell this huckster to get out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Mitt
Yes, get out Huck so we can have a President we can control!
I have been appalled by Fox News’ coverage of the presidential candidates. It is beyond obvious that Huckabee is being marginalized by this network as, for the most part, he has been treated by the other “majors”. I used to believe the Fox did a “fair and balanced” job of reporting. Not anymore. Fox may try to sway my vote, but I voted early today (to avoid the crowds on Super Tuesday), and they did not sway my vote at all.
Mike Huckabee is the true conservative.
Mitt Romney 4 years governor of my state.
Results: Mandated health insurance, gay marriage, tax payer funded abortions
Like I said, Huckabee is the only true conservative that has been governor of a state.
Vote for Mike Huckabee.
Huckabee needs to exit the race, so the real conservative voters will vote for Romney. Can everyone look at how much money Clinton, Obama, and McCain (the snake) have raised during this campaigne. How many interest groups do you think they will owe, like the oil companies, the insurance companies, the prescription drug companies. Romney has his own money, he wouldn’t owe anyone anything. Romney is the only one running that can help our country. I do know this if the snake McCain gets the nomination, I will vote for Hillary or Obama over him. He wants to give our social security away to illegals that haven’t paid in a dime. He wants the US to pay for global warming with the hike on the federal gas tax, how much more can the middle class take, not a lot. Something needs to be done in the country it is falling apart. Romney is the only one that has the know how to bring our country to where it needs to be. With Americans living here, not illegals, he will make job growth, and isn’t that the most important thing right now. Come on people, think about our future. Romney for Presdient or God help us all.
Viva Obama! Vote for Obama on black Tuesday!
Dear citizen of Mass. Romney didn’t approve the gay marriage or the state funded abortion, that was through the legal system, the courts. You should know that since you live there.
Chicago must be eliminated!
GO MIKE HUCKABEE!
The only Republican candidate that stands a solid chance of being elected President in November is MIKE HUCKABEE! All you Mitt Romney supporters need to cut your losses now and support Mike Huckabee for President on Super Tuesday!
http://www.mikehuckabee.com
This is not a 2-man race! Polls have HUCKABEE tied with Romney.
Listen, while these two schmucks, Romney & McCain, argue like juvenile children over who is the most conservative - we all know they are each liberally moderate politicians in the worst sense! Huckabee is conservative - simply no arguement. He brings over 10 years executive experience to the floor with a touch of integrity and winsome character. And no, he is not a preacher! He is a Governor with a pastoral heart and a conservative mind.
McCain & Romney have to spend milions & millions just to brain-wash you and buy your vote, whereas Huckabee wins votes for just being genuine and sincere. This Walshe putz who wrote the article above (along with Hannity & Rushbo) wants you to sell out your vote for Huckabee and vote instead for a compromised flip-flopping low-bellied vermon - named Romney and/or McCain. Well, I am voting for the winner - Governor Mike Huckabee! Already he has 40 delegates and that influence is on the rise.
Get to know Governor Huckabee and you’ll respect him, too! Yes, even in the morning after the election. Try that with McCain or the Mormon flip-flopper… oh the migrain…

Oh stop it. Factcheck is among the most respected non-partisan watchdog organizations there is. I can guarantee you if they weren’t hammering Romney and were hammering McCain instead you’d be touting them like crazy. As far as the timetables…I did what most people DON’T do. I looked up the transcript of the interview from multiple sources and even found it on Youtube so I could make sure it was being reported accurately. At best you could say Romney’s statement was “open to interpretation” but I heard nothing in his statements to support his claim that he was talking about “timetables for progress”. To me it sure sounded like he supported “timetables for withdrawl” albeit secret ones. Honestly I couldn’t care less if he does or doesn’t because the truth of the matter is we aren’t leaving Iraq regardless of what any candidate (even the democrats) says so it’s largely irrelevant IMO.
Yes Huckabee is too principled. He won’t do what we tell him to do. Therefore, withdraw Huckabee so we can get Romney in there who will do what we tell him to do.
Romney for President….Romney for President….McCain is a snake who cheats on his wife, divorces her after she is in an accident that leaves her disabled, then he marries his mistress, have you seen her she looks like someones mistress. What happened to Americas morals? Years ago, if someone running for President had done what McCain did, they would be shunned by everyone, and he wouldn’t get anywhere. We need higher moral standards again….
MIKE HUCKABEE for PRESIDENT or, in the wise words of “cathie”, “God help us all.”
To all of those who believe that Huckabee’s support will fall into Mitt’s lap you need only look at the Fox News poll today which showed that in a McCain/Mitt matchup with no one else in the race, McCain pulls ahead by 62% to 29%. Huck exiting the race will not help your man win, it will ensure his defeat, Huckabee is the only viable option over McCain and he will not drop out.
Cathie illegals pay into SS! The majority of illegals get payed via W2 which in turn pay for SS, FICA, and Medicare. I suggest you vote for Obama so that all illegals get amnesty.
Go away Huckleberry, you can never win…Leave now so we can support Romney, and what makes you think we can tell Romney what to do? Thats just ridiculous…
I agree cathie. A man with morals, integrity, honesty, vision, governing experiance…MIKE HUCKABEE.
No I want the illegals out of our country, period. They don’t deserve any free ride, which they are getting now. Romney wants them out, so he is the man to vote for…
Plus with more illegals, they’ll need some slums to live in and, after all, Obama is the most articulate slumlord around!
Nate, I do agree with that, Mike Huckabee is a good honest man, but he can’t win.. Honestly I want Romney, but I think McCain will get the nomination, and then I switch parties and vote for Hillary or Obama.
Why do people discount MIKE HUCKABEE? Only 8% of the delegates are won and MIKE HUCKABEE is only trailing Romney by 19 points.

That’s pretty sensational actually. Huck leads Romney in reliable polls in Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama, Minnesota, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Out of those the only state he wins outright is Missouri. He trails Romney in 15 other Super Tuesday states. But things can change
cathie et al,
I believe you’ve had too much Romney Kool Aid.
Just google the romney deception
I live in Massachusetts, I know what happened here.
Can you imagine if Mitt didn’t have his millions to buy votes and clear channell communications?
He has only won his home state of Mich. and a high concerntration Mormon state.
If Mitt didn’t have his millions, he would have been gone long ago!
Bring on Super Tuesday!!!
Cathie, in your opinion, why can’t MIKE HUCKABEE win?
Everyone needs to look at the big picture, vote for Romney
And please Cathie, don’t swith parties if McCain was the nominee. We must vote republican.
What America needs is an economic boost, immigration reform (amnesty), green technology, and universal health care, . Obama is the exact person to accomplish this.
Scott, according to the delagate count it is still very much a three man race for the republican nomination.
Mitt Romney: 2002 “I will preserve and protect a woman’s right to choose.”
…we will see after Tuesday.
All you Huckabeenites who claim to be conservatives. Explain why you would willingly let McCain get the nomination. Again, a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain! Huckabee is too selfish that he would rather put a non-conservative in the White House to ensure a position under McCain.
Huckabee is a liberal who likes to feed one liners to the media. Wisen up, people! Vote for the good of this Country. Vote Romney!
I thought it was interesting how Sean Hannity’s primary argument for not voting for Huckabee is that he can’t win, yet he readily admited that Romney wasn’t going to win the nomination.
A Vote for Huckabee is a Vote for Huckabee for President!!!! not VP!
4 days until the end of Mitt Romney 08.
I don’t think Mike Huckabee can win because he doesn’t have the money to keep going for one thing, then the fair tax thing, I don’t think people are ready for that because it isn’t understood. I think him being a minister doesn’t help him either, because he uses a lot of religious remarks when he is debating or speaking. I don’t mind that, he’s a good person, but I think the majority of Americans don’t want religion and politics mixed together. But if it came down to McCain or Huckabee I would vote for Huckabee. McCain scares me to death….
Romney should withdraw for the good of the Republican Party so that Huckabee can get the nomination!
I see Cathie.
The conservative ideology needs to disappear completely!
Huckabee is still in this race Look at the most recent Fox poll! I don’t think anyone should get out until they are soundly defeated - Mike has not been soundly defeated. Nor has Mitt for that matter. Every opinion matters and everyone should stick to their guns and vote for the person that most matches their ideals. I hear Hannity and others compare Mike to Perot and it is just dead wrong - Mike WILL support the nominee. He will not go independent and sway a national election. However, I believe he has a shot at being the nominee… unless Fox and others continue their bias…
Nathon what are you doing watching Fox News in the first place? Tune into CNN!
McCain has said that we need to secure the borders first. Then what? I imagine amnesty to the +12m illegals that are here b/c McCain doesn’t mention next steps. People, can we really afford this when current US unemployment numbers show 1.4m AMERICAN CITIZENS out of work for 6 months or longer?
Also, I liked Huckabee’s idea of rebuilding this country’s infrastructure to stimulate economic growth. But who does he think is doing those construction jobs today? American workers? No, Governor H, its ILLEGALS!!!!
I just can’t believe Romney is as far behind in the polls as they say he is. Sheesh!
Fact Man writes….
Polls obviously don’t mean much, given how often they have been wrong. <<<
Actually some are reliable and some aren’t. As I have no life I have been tracking the accuracy of the pollsters, mostly so I can get an idea of who to pay attention to and who to ignore in that regard. Reuters/CSPAN/Zogby has been startlingly accurate thus far with Insider Advantage very close behind. Survey USA has also been impressive but they haven’t called as many races as the aforementioned two. Rasmussen is very good but they tend to understate the spread. they are almost always accurate as far as who will win the race but because they report a four day rolling average their projected spreads have a tendency to be understated. Mason-Dixon is deadly accurate 50% of the time and totally, absolutely, completely wrong the other 50%. The least reliable have been American Research Group and CNN about whom I would say “whoever they project, the smart money is to bet the other way”. Those two are terrible and have been correct about 20% of the time.
texas4romney…
what do you mean that MIKE HUCKABEE is a liberal.
And deifine your definition of “liberal”.
So why do people keep condemning Mitt Romney for having millions. He worked for it, he must be smart. I know he came from a well to do family, but I know he worked for what he has. I have researched Romney and I like him. And you mean to tell me that Nevada is a mormon state, and what about Wyoming? With all of his millions that he is using for his campagne, he wouldn’t owe anyone any favors, like big oild companies, prescription drug companies, or insurance companies like the rest will when this is all said and done.
For the good of America,
Romney should just bow out and throw his support behind Huckabee.
You see, Romney has the money but Huckabee has the message.
Mike Huckabee is the great communicator in the truest sense of the word.
Huckabee supporters will never bow to money, they are driven by the message.
CNN? You mean the Clinton News Network?
If Romney can’t get the votes that Governor Huckabee is getting, he doesn’t deserve them. Huckabee is the most conservative candidate where conservatism matters most. He has always and consistently been pro-life. He has never waffled, wavered, or come down on the wrong side of this, the most important of issues. If a candidate gets it wrong here, he can’t be trusted at all. This is a foundational issue. Are all men created equal, or are there those who are more equal than others? Mike is rock solid and we can count on him to value every American. It seems to me that he has a winning plan - elevate the political dialog bar that is all too often confused with the political limbo stick. His approach is uplifting, as opposed to seeing how low we can go. It involves real thought and debate which flies in the face of the programmed sound bytes regurgitated by the two “front runners.” Mike is inspiring regular American people to take pride in our civic privilege to engage in the process of choosing good leaders for our nation. He will not buy votes, but he is earning them in the American way. He’s got mine to count on. This is the time to mobilize before conservative values are steamrolled. The limbo only gets one closer to the pavement.
Regular Americans owe Huckabee a big show of thanks, for standing up for us.
Americans like Mike.
I like McCain’s willingness to not go with the flow, not follow the direction of Rush and Sean H., his willingness to attack wasteful spending whether it be from the usual democrats or the republicans, who failed to control spending during the first 6 years of the Bush administaration when they controlled both the House and the Senate. I don’t think Romney has the nads to do that, just like he didn’t have the nads to forgo his religious exemption from Vietnam, nor the nads to forgo his college exemption from Vietnam, nor the nads to take a position on the troop surge after the ‘06 elections, nor the nads to run for Governor in Massachussettes as a pro-lifer, etc. You may not like all McCain’s policy positions, but at least he takes a position and puts it out there. While Romney was doing a mission in France, McCain was doing a mission in Hanoi. Give me a President with nads and leave the economy to the private sector where it belongs.
A vote for MIKE HUCKABEE is a vote for MIKE HUCKABEE.
ALL Republican voters who are incessantly crying that Romney is the true conservative need to see how this guy who drops President Reagan’s name at record pace actually denounces Reagan as quickly as Peter denounced Jesus when in liberal company i.e. running against Ted Kennedy for Senate just a few short years ago.
They need to see how PASSIONATELY he argued for abortion rights when in company of liberals. He likes to claim that he changed his mind on abortion but let the voters SEE and listen to how he BOASTS about how pro-abortion he and his own MOTHER are and how we “will not see him waver.”
When someone is so adroit at duplicity, HOW can anyone believe that he truly means what he says - THIS TIME????
Tell me Ann Coulter. Tell me Rush Limbaugh. Tell me Laura Ingraham. Tell Me Sean Hannity!
“A vote for Huckabee is a Vote for McCain”?
The Reality: A vote for Romney - OR - McCain -is a vote FOR Clinton/Obama”
MrArbitrage
If you like it, pass it on! This MUST be seen by voters. Romney’s skillfull, passionate denouncement of Reagan before liberal voters and his passionate bragging about his pro-abortion beliefs should raise red flags to any voter who has even a diminutive amount of common sense and discernment with exception for the credulous Hannity, Coulter, Ingraham, Limbaugh Barnes & Krauthammer.
What is wrong with Fox News? They are using poll data from potential Democratic voters to decide the GOP Republican Primary. Since when did we start asking Democrats who they would vote for in the GOP Republican Primary? This is totally unfair and unbalanced.
Polling was conducted by telephone January 30-31, 2008, in the evenings. The
total sample is 900 registered voters nationwide with a margin of error of ±3
percentage points. Results are of registered voters, unless otherwise noted.
LV = likely voters
Democrats n=377, ±5 percentage points; Republicans n=297, ±6 percentage points
http://www.foxnews.com/projects/pdf/020108_election_release_web.pdf
Who are the pollsters polling? I don’t know a single conservative who supports McCain! Most conservatives think the same way as Limbaugh, Coulter, Ingram, Hannity, Beck, et al, and know McCain would be a disaster for the GOP, even if he won. We don’t need anymore RINOs!
SOME INTERESTING FACTS
Posted by a letter to the editor
I am disappointed in the tactics and statements of almost all the presidential candidates, both Democrats and Republicans. My grandmother used to say that you can tell just as big a lie with a half-truth and sometimes a bigger one.
Take the half-truths said about Mike Huckabee and taxes. I lived in Arkansas when he was the governor. He did away with the marriage tax penalty and the capital gains tax on the sale homes. He doubled Arkansas’ standard deduction and the child care tax credit. He slashed the capital gains tax for both individuals and businesses.
In 2001, Mike took a lot of flak for refusing to raise taxes even with a looming budget shortfall. In response, he formed the “Tax Me More Fund” for people who felt that the government was not taking enough from their paychecks.
I like Mike and encourage everyone to reject half-truths and accept the real Mike Huckabee.
Jobs lost in America should accredit to the Bush and the Republican Party not illegal immigrants.
Mitt Romney: 1994: “I was an independent during the time of Reagan/Bush. I’m not trying to return to Reagan/Bush.”
Good message CITIZEN OF MASSACHUSETTS.
There ARE good thinkers from Massachusetts!
I knew they were there somewhere.
All I ask of my fellow republicans is to take the time to research the candidates records. I don’t mean listen to what the media says. For example, many people are praising Romney as the only conservative candidate. I dare you, I challenge you to go to True Romney.com. It is documented facts, not opinions or talking points. It will give you the references to back up their statements, including media clips, photos etc. For example, ask governor Romney why that out of his 36 judicial nominees, why only 9 were republican! On Meet the Press Romney claims to have received the endorsement of the NRA in the 2002 governor race, he lied, they supported the democratic opponent! In 1994 the Gay and Lesbian paper called, “Bay Windows” has a picture of Romney on the front page, with this quote, “Romney: I’ll be better than Ted for gay rights! Why did Romney and his wife attend a Planned Parenthood fundraising event and then donated $150? Ask Romney why he supported a Gay and Lesbian Youth Day and spent $100,000’s of tax dollars for it. Ask Mitt why he now attacks Huckabee, yet in 2005 said that Huckabee would make a good president; by the way, that is partly because Huckabee was voted in to be chairman over all 50 governors! How close to be president can you get? Ask Mitt why in a poll 70% of the people from Mass. Said that Mitt was doing a fair to poor job as governor. Ask Mitt, why did he slam Huckabee for wanting to help the children of illegal immigrants go to college when this is Mitt’s own quote, “I hate the idea in anyway making it more difficult for kids, even those who are illegal aliens, to afford college in our state.” Why did he recently say that he has always been a republican, when in fact in the 90’s he was an Independent? I could go on and on! It’s time for the gloves to come off! I believe so strongly that Mitt is not the conservative many of you are claiming him to be that I will challenge any of you to an open debate with the facts! I will even consider flying somewhere if needed. Otherwise, put up or shut-up, this includes Laura Ingram who I have lost all respect for today, she claims to be pro-life, yet is endorsing Mitt. There is only one candidate that has consistently voted pro-life and that is Huckabee. Wake up America! Mitt Romney is not the conservative he claims to be, and McCain is about as liberal as you can get and still call yourself a Republican!
All Conservatives are against Hillary and Obama, therefore, all Conservatives are for the only candidate that can beat them…MCCAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Viva Obama and the neo liberal ideology!

Scott, according to the delagate count it is still very much a three man race for the republican nomination.<<<
Right now yes. But on Tuesday 1,081 delagates will be committed in the primaries and according to reliable polls McCain leads Romney in California, Georgia, Illinois, Tennessee, Alabama, Minnesota, and Oklahoma as well as the critical winner-take-all states of New York, Arizona, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Romney leads in Colorado, Massachussets, and Utah. Huckabee pulled ahead in Missouri today for the first time this week…we’ll see if he can hold it…and of course he will take Arkansas. If you cast the delegates accordingly McCain will have a lead of nearly 300 delegates over Romney after Super Tuesday. Romney has three days to turns things around in a major way or he’s finished.
Fox News, here is some balance to lend credence to your vuanted slogan ‘fair and balanced.’ I hate to state the obvious, but the current obvious trends in the race say NOTHING about what it might be in a week…a month….six months.
Nationally, Romney and Huckabee are tied in a statistical dead heat.
Delegate counts have Romney and Huckabee in a relatively tight race—considering only 8% of the delegates are in and Huckabee stands to do VERY WELL Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Missouri, and West Virginia.
If Fox is still doing journalism, ‘balance’ and ‘fairness’ would require them to at least admit this.
No wild-eyed rants, just a sober prediction. Fox has been calling the race all year–first for Guliani, then for Thompson, now for McCain/Romney. Fox has tended to be wrong. I wonder if there is a trend no one’ noticing. Is it possible that Fox’s attempts to sway the race are backfiring, as viewers sense in each case–Guliani, Thompson, Romney, McCain– that Fox is stepping a bit beyond journalistic integrity?
If that is the actual trend—Fox keeps calling the race, voters prove them wrong—they might want to sit up and take notice, or they might just “predict” Mike Huckabee right into the White House.
Not that this would be a bad thing–as an Arkansas Reagan-Limbaugh-Huckabee conservative, I know which Republican turned Arkansas around after years of the Clintons running our state into the ground. The USA could use the same kind of turnaround.
Conservatives, I would rather vote for a true Dem like Obama before I give my vote to McCain, a Dem in Republican’s clothing.
Here is the dirty big secret that Dick Morris, the Democrats and liberal media do not want McCain and Huckabee supporters to understand until AFTER the Republican primary is over:
1. a vote for Huckabee at this point in the race is a vote for McCain. Huckabee cannot win the primary and is almost out of money.
2. a vote for McCain in the Primary is a vote for Obama or Clinton in the general election.
McCain cannot win the general election and McCain knows that without the base of the Republican party he, like Dole before him, will loose. The base will never support liberal McCain. Anyone voting on super Tuesday and beyond who is considering McCain or Huckabee needs to think long and hard about the impact of their vote. If you prefer President Obama or Clinton over Romney, then vote for McCain or Huckabee my friends.
Ric…
There will always be ups and downs to an economy.
A nation’s economy can’t COMPLETELY rest on the shoulders of a president…
Bush Senior, Bill Clinton, or President Bush.
The economy is bigger than that.
WILL MCCAIN MAKE A POW OUT OF THE USA?
How many more sons and daughters is McCain willing to sacrifice to
preserve Bushs war legacy?
Will McCain surrender the border to Mexico with his Open Border views?
Will McCain surrender your wallet to give entitlements out to illegal aliens? Will McCain surrender Roe vs. Wade to the liberal lobbyist and partial birth advocates?
Will McCain surrender your First Amendment rights?
Will you surrender your vote to McCain on Super Tuesday?
Mittster Romney: 2002 “I will preserve and protect a woman’s right to choose.”

Romney vs McCain?
The 2 men race farce is just the biggest lie.
So far Romney won 1 state and came second in another. Same exact as Mike Huckabee
Why is it a 2 men race?
It’s just the way a media on Romney’s payroll presents it !
I hope someone will calculate how much did every candidate spent so far per vote.
That would give us an ideea about how would they handle the economics of this country.
Isn’t it about efficiency? I thought that the “maverick” ( as he likes to presents himself), Romney
knows how to be efficient. When another competitor (Mike) gets a vote spending a lot less money
it only means that’s something wrong: either with the candidate or the message.
Because of Mike’s message today we raised $1350.00.
Please get to your coin jar and help Mike to get his message across!
We got maxed out, so please look for people that will match your donation up!
Please remember that the GOP did not not endorse his nowadays icon Ronald Reagan for 2 elections.
GO MIKE!!
