A Candidate Named Mitt and an Embed Named Shush

Denver, CO—

Often people tease me about my name — not usually presidential candidates — but today was a different story. Protestors came to Mitt Romney’s rally at a Ford dealership here and tried to out-shout both him and the press.

I asked Romney about states he would focus on if his campaign continues after February 5th, and the protestors were so loud he left his perch behind the microphone and climbed over several of my colleagues, while Campaign Carl looked on. I asked the presidential hopeful the question directly in his ear. He laughed at first and then addressed both my voice levels and my nickname:

“You got to get a louder voice, Shush — the appropriately named Shush.”

I wasn’t exactly sure what was happening at first, so I couldn’t stop the walk-over by the governor. Both Romney, the press corps, and myself were in near hysterics, but at least I got my question in!

Admittedly, Romney often has a hard time hearing me, and I usually have to speak quite loudly, which is in itself a mystery that the press corps is going to investigate (as soon as everyone has a free moment).

Very funny, Shush. Mitt Romney is a gentleman for coming and taking your question. Very Presidential.

After Super Tuesday the GOP field will surely be a two man race. No question.
If Romney can hold out until the GOP Convention . . . that will be telling!
Tim Russert offered McCain and Romney a 1-on-1 debate on Sunday’s Meet the Press.
Romney Accepted
McCain Rejected.

A VOTE FOR HUCKABEE IS A VOTE FOR McCAIN!
Anyone that doesn’t see it that way is either Naive or an idiot!

Go MITT ROMNEY!!

John McCain receives an endorsement by the LA Times Liberal NewsPaper! Who is this Liberal running as a Republican?

1) McCain-Kennedy (AMNESTY) - McCain spearheaded this bill which would award everyone here illegally, amnesty. And don’t try to bend the truth about illegal’s paying a fine is not amnesty, because the truth can’t be bent that far without shattering. McCain called you a racist if you were against amnesty when he was trying to get this liberal bill past. Now McCain say’s, I heard the people and they want the border closed first. What does that mean? McCain has changed his position, because polls showed Americans did not want this bill to pass. FLIP-FLOPP. And I don’t trust McCain if he get’s in the White House, not to flip flop again and push for another amnesty bill.
2) Bush tax cuts - McCain voted against the Bush tax cuts in 2001 and 2003. In 2001 McCain said “I cannot in good conscience support a tax cut in which so many of the benefits go to the most fortunate among us at the expense of the middle class Americans who need tax relief.”
If that doesn’t sound like Kerry, Clinton, Kennedy, Reid, Pelosi, etc…. I don’t know what does. Now McCain has pulled a very tricky and daring double headed Flip-Flop. First he is now saying he voted against the tax cuts because they didn’t include a decrease in spending. That’s the first flop. I gues he didn’t want to sound like a class warfare Liberal during an election year. The second flop: Now he’s saying he would keep the tax cuts, because not keeping the tax cuts would be like raising taxes and it would hurt the economy. If it would hurt the economy, why did he vote against it in the first place?
3) Abortion: Yes Abortion. Romney is not the only one who changed on abortion. Here’s a quote from 1999. I’m sure McCain supporters wish this quote would just go away. “I love to see a point where it is irrelevant and could be revealed because abortion is no longer necessary but certainly in the short-term, even the long term, I would not support the repeal of Roe versus Wade which would force X number of women in America to undergo illegal and dangerous operations. I would not support the repeal of Roe versus Wade.” Now this is what McCain is saying: “I share a common goal of reducing the number of staggering abortions currently performed in this country and overturning Roe versus Wade.” If that’s not good enough here’s another quote from Mr. Strait Talker himself “I believe that the pro choice community feels that abortion is a procedure that we would like to eliminate. So yes, I want to repeal Roe versus Wade and, yes, I’m proud of my pro life voting record but I’m trying to get to the point where we can join together and reach a solution to a terrible situation.” At least
Romney admits that he changed his position and explains in detail his conversion story.
4) Ethanol: Here’s another one of those pesky quotes by McCain in 2003: “Ethanol is a product that would not exist if congress didn’t create an artificial market for it. No one would be willing to buy it.”
Next he said: “Yes, thanks to agricultural subsidies and ethanol producer subsidies, it’s now very big business. Tens of billions of dollars have enriched a handful of corporate interests”
Nest: “Ethanol does nothing to reduce fuel consumption, nothing to increase our
energy independence and nothing to improve air quality.”
Now he’s saying: “I support ethanol and I think it’s vital. A vital alternative energy source not only because of our dependency on
foreign oil but because of its greenhouse gas reduction effects. Okay, it’s going to get us off foreign oil and it’s going to help reduce
greenhouse gases.
Well, Mr strait talker thinks he can deceive us all, but he has underestimated the American people. He thought that since he was a media darling, he could lie about Romney’s positions in Iraq. He was mistaken. Every reporter I have heard…….I don’t listen to the Liberal propaganda news reporters…..has revealed McCain for what he is, a double talking, lying, hypocrite.

This whole election is playing the republicans like a harp. Did you see the poll they are using now! Fox News no less! 48% for McCain! Oh, and only 2% that would not vote for him! Don’t pi$$ down my back and tell me it’s raining!

The media is running this thing just like driving a car. Look at the views you get. Look at the Pos. for The Cain and the neg. for Romney. Oh it’s not real blatant, that would be too obvious, but it’s there alright.

A close friend (inside source) of Nancy Reagan says “she just loves John McCain and secretly supports him”. Well if that’s the case what’s the freak in secret?

“Romney is spending all this money” they say. As if that’s a bad thing. I’d rather get someone in there that had already made their money before they got in office instead of having to worry about them trying to make it after. My question is why is it ok to spend millions of dollars you get from other people you will owe later but not OK to spend your own money?

Who else is tired of seeing these guys go into office with no money and come out with millions?

Why is Huckabee Slamming Romney when McCain is the obvious Front Runner? He should be slamming McCain!

Today’s News 2.1.08

Huckabee: A Vote for Romney is a Vote for Hillary CBS News
Huckabee: Romney Shifted on Key Issues The Associated Press
Huckabee Continues Slamming Romney CBS News

Look at it this way: McCain can never win without the conservatives and Huckabee cannot win without the moderates. Thus, they probably have a secret agreement between them to have a ticket with McCain for Pres. to get the moderate vote and Huckabee for VP to get the conservative vote. Either way they both are selling themselves out as most conservatives cannot stomach McCain who seems at times to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing. A McCain-Huckabee ticket will flat out lose in the general election. Face it.

The question may be asked, why would these two agree to such an arrangement? Simple, McCain is power-hungry and Huckabee does not want a Mormon in the White House. (Sad, but true.) That, my friends, is the only reason why Huckabee is staying in the race and continuing to tacitly support McCain (his response that he has “never known McCain to be dishonest” when he and everyone else knew that McCain was lying) while trying to undermine Romney.
Vote Mitt Romney if you want conservativism to continue!

Oh, one more thing. Can anyone see The Huckster as a real candidate now?

The problem is that MITT will quick on his own before there is a brokered convention. He is a man of integrity. Remember his father dropped out for the benefit of the Party. This is sad to think that a stubborn man named Hickabee has done so much to destroy the conservative movement. HUCK WE WILL REMEMBER YOU, WE WILL MAKE SURE YOUR POLITICAL CAREER IS OVER! I PROMISE YOU THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comment by Clint H

The thing to remember is that Huck will never get a chance at the presidency after GW and then McCain screw things up so back for America. Infact, the republican party will probably fall apart after 4 more years. Then there will be the Conservatives, Moderates and the Liberals. Thanks Huck for being such a true American Patriot… you stupid pig.

Why do I continue to get the feeling that your network is continually trying to show Mitt Romney in a negative light. Are we to believe that protesters never show up at any other candidates rallies? It seems you relish in the idea of embarrasing Mitt Romney. I have always been a loyal viewer of the Fox News Network because I truly believed you did all they could to be fair and balanced. I have to say that I no longer believe that and my analysis is based on your coverage of Mitt Romney. It has been petty, negative and biased. Why don’t you go back to trying to be fair and balanced. I have actually found myself watching MSNBC more than your network, because I feel they are trying to give Mitt Romney a fair shake, and that is all I ask.

I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in your network. I used to watch your network exclusively because I truly believed that their was a true desire to be fair and balanced. I now feel that your network is going out of their way to try to convince me that the election is over and John McCain has won.

Please review your coverage and I believe you will see that there is more negative coverage and stories towards Mitt Romney than there has been of John McCain and Mike Huckabee.

After this election the country will be lost regardless.

They are watering us down so that the brave new world can waltz right in and take over.

We are either going to fold up under the flood or there will be a civil war to try to maintain the USA.

Mexamericanada here we come.

I don’t think there will be enough resisters left to stop the amnesty if McCain or the Dems get in.

If it’s not stopped and current law stays in place it’s just a matter of time.

It won’t take long at a million illegal’s and a million regular immigrates a year.

By 2050 we will have given enough of the country away to have become irrelevant in our land.

I hope they are as good to us as we were to them. LOL

We need to support Mitt Romney on Super Tuesday. Dont let the polls or media dictate us our true belief of Conservative ideals.

Comment by John

When Mike won Iowa, Rush, Hannity, Coulter, Laura etc., trashed Mike. They did this because they wanted Fred. They kept trashing Mike because they knew if he won SC he would be the front runner for the nomination.

Well when McCain won SC, and Fred dropped out, they started to support Mitt. When McCain won FL, they began to trash McCain. Because of their stupidity , they could not figure out that all the trashing of Mike caused support to go to McCain. Their plan backfired and now McCain is on the verge of winning the nomination.

Now they are begging Mike to get out so Mitt can beat McCain.

What does this all mean? Rush and the rest of the traitors on talk radio just may have destroyed the GOP. Yes, you heard me right.

The only way to stop McCain is for real conservatives (in the south) to tell Rush and the rest of the so-called conservative idiots to go take a hike.

Vote for Mike, not Mitt or McCain. If McCain wins, the Dems will destroy him in November.

Comment by Addie

James you said it before me, where is all of this hate coming from, if that is what Mitt has as supporters then I want no part of it, I have never heard such awful things said in my life, just because you like one candidate over another, all this does is just chase the support over to the other candidate that doesn’t have that kind of hate supporting him, I haven’t heard hate being spewed like that from any other candidate supporters, not even the democrats, shows what kind of support Mitt has, support full of hate, I feel sorry for these people because they seem to have nothing better to do. MIKE HUCKABEE HAS BEEN THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS NOT WAFFLED ON HIS BELIEFS, MITT CHANGED ON ABORTION, AMNESTY, HE IS PANDERING TO GET ELECTED. And if you want to know about the Mormon religion read their books, and if I remember right, Mitt had an interview not too long ago where he said his religion did not align with Christianity, so he has said Mormonism is different that Christianity. TOO MUCH HATE IN OUR COUNTRY, THAT IS WHY WE ARE IN THE MESS WE ARE IN.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH AMERICA????????????????

Comment by Dan

Let us look at McCain’s conservative credentials:

-IMMIGRATION: he wrote the bill granting amnesty to illegal immigrants (co-sponsored by Ted Kennedy)
-SOCIAL SECURITY: he voted to give your social security money to illegal immigrants
-TAXES: he voted against the Bush tax cuts multiple times (he has since flip-flopped and has campaigned as a lifelong tax-cutter)
-RHETORIC: he routinely engages in Democratic class warfare against big companies in America, particularly the “evil” drug companies who research cures to debilitating diseases for a profit
-ECONOMY: as recently as December 2007 he admitted “he does not know the economy very well” and needed to get better at it
-1ST AMENDMENT: he wrote the McCain-Feingold campaign finance bill that was declared to be an unconstitutional infringement of the 1st Amendment (co-sponsored by ultra-liberal Democrat Russ Feingold)
-2ND AMENDMENT: he was called the “worst 2nd amendment candidate” by the president of the NRA
-ENERGY TAX: wrote a bill (co-sponsored by his buddy Lieberman) imposing a massive tax on energy which, according to the Department of Energy, would drastically raise the price of gasoline and put 300,000 Americans out of work
-GLOBAL WARMING: supports radical global warming legislation which involved him voting with every Democrat; think only America is responsible to take action, not other superpowers
-JUDGES: he joined forces with Democrats (Gang of 14) to block the Senate Republican’s attempt to confirm conservative, strict constructionist judges; also said Alito was too conservative for his liking
-WAR ON TERROR: fought with Hillary Clinton to demand that terrorists be given a full American trial
-GAY MARRIAGE: he joined liberals to fight against a federal marriage amendment supporting the institution of traditional marriage
-CHRISTIANS: campaigning in 2000, he famously described Christian leaders as “agents of intolerance”
-PRO-LIFE: he filed an amicus brief against pro-life advocates in Wisconsin
-BI-PARTISANSHIP: he met with leading Democrats in 2004 to discuss the possibility of being John Kerry’s Vice-President; publicly considered leaving the Republican Party in 2001 after he lost the primary
-PROFESSIONAL ETHICS: ringleader of the infamous Keating 5 ethical scandal which cost US tax payers $160 billion (Google it)
-PERSONAL ETHICS: McCain cheated on his first wife after she had a severe accident that left her partially disabled. He then divorced her and married his multi-millionaire mistress, whose daddy bought McCain a spot in the Congress

I agree with the people that say that trashing a candidate is not appropriate. I have seen a lot of trashing on all sides. The reason that our country has fallen economically is that bad decisions have been made in Washington. An election is counter productive if people are not willing to search for the truth and instead blindly swallow what the politicians spoon feed them. Politicians are not perfect…but they are paid to do the will of the people.

Huckabee may be a nice person and you may find him entertaining but he is not presidential material and will never carry enough votes to win a nomination. Simple math proves that. That is not trashing…that is the truth. No one would take bets on these odds.

the facts Nevada….SC…..Iowa……Florida…..NH…..Michigan
Huckabee….8%…….30%….34%…….14%…….11%…..16%
Romney…..51%…….15%….25%…….31%…….32%…..39%

Huckabee was named on the “most corrupt politicians” list for Judicial Watch in 2007. This is not trash and this is a nonpartisian group that goes after both sides. Judicial Watch was the group that was heavily behind the Clinton Impeachment. This is fact…go ahead…go out to Judical Watch and verify it.

Huckabee promises to pass the fair tax and it has failed for five years. It would take a US Constitutional amendment to happen and the bill does not and cannot get backing even in the Republican Party. Beacon Hill Institute did research on the bill and reported that the bill mandates for the state governments to impliment this plan. THIS is unconstitutional. The 16th amendment does not cover this. And the 10th amendment protects state and federal rights. This is not trashing Huckabee….This is the truth and any competent voter that wants to vote responsibly should check it out…you have a computer…go for it…

Karen, you are remembering wrong. Mormon is a nickname given by nonmembers…The name of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is a Christian church. However, the US Constitution states that religion cannot be part of the requirements for office in this country…its always been that way. There are alot of rumors going around. It is best to find out the truth for ones self.

Are you kidding? WHERE sould I start? Why is he using a recorder to call people and tell them this is a 2 man race? He cant even be truthful in a recording!!!

Fpr crying out loud…the other night in the California debate the guy asked Romney how he would be able to take care of the immagrants in 90 days…..Romney says “I think your thinking of someone else I didn’t say that…..oh maybe I did. Then the guy quotes the statement Romney made and it was like a light went off in his head.

He’s so used to lieing it just comes natural to him and he cant even keep up…is he a hunter or not? Come on…I am sick of it!

Mccain and Romney looked like to kids fighting while huckabee was very humble and reminded me so much of Reagon. Why are you voting for this man over huckabee? Did you not see in the debate the diffrence between Huckabee and the others?

I’ve been following all the candidates all along. Huck never impressed me with the bleeding-heart compassion he showed for illegal’s kids.

This is not bashing, it’s absolutely true. He just signed the Numbers USA pledge 2 weeks ago. His ranking was lower than Mitt’s, and he didn’t think illegal immigration was that big of an issue.

I live in Texas people, and we are being invaded. Mitt has the best rating of ALL current candidates regarding dealing with illegals. Period…

Maybe Cali thinks Huck’s tough on illegals, but NUMBERS don’t lie.

And Addie, when was it bad to be a capitalist? Romney should point out the differences in ads, isn’t that politics? But he doesn’t own the conservative talk hosts-which do endorse him.

The frustrating truth is that both Romney and Huckabee supporters would like nothing more than to derail McCain, except unite, which is the one thing that would actually accomplish the goal. The high majority of voters is entrenched this late in the process, and we’ll be nominating McCain. There are too few “undecided”s now.

When McCain names his VP, we’ll see who was right and who was wrong regarding all this. Whoever accepts the VP position on a McCain ticket is an obvious traitor to the conservative cause. Hopefully we can agree on that.

Comment by Clint H

Huckabee loves taxes and begged for them. I couldn’t believe it until I saw this youtube. There are no edits or cuts like the ones that huck fans have on Romney.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pLOC4krZI4

Now what do you think about HUCK as a Conservative? The reason huck and mccain get along is because they are the same.

Comment by carolyn

if huckabee thinks he’s gonna be vp, he’s gonna be surprised. mcnasty is teashing the huckster. both mcnasty and huckster will be surprised and we the voters will have the last laugh when we defeat them in nov by giving the presidency to either hillary or barack.

as a christian i will not vote for mccain and after the pastor huckabee continues his unchristian comments on other candidates, i wouldn’t vote for him either.

for huckabee to judge another person goes against the teachings of the Bible which says
judge not, let ye be judged. Bible also says thou shalt not covet.

huckabee is no more a christian than bill or hillary clinton.

in the parable of the talents, God teaches us to use what He has given us wisely.
three individuals were give a specific amount of talents. one got 5, the second got two and the last got one. their employee was going on a trip and he told each one to invest what he had given them. When the employer returned, he went to each one. the employee who had been given only 1 talent buried it because he was afraid he’d lose it. the two that hat been given 2 and 5 talents, doubled theirs. so what happened to the one who buried his? the employer gave it to the one who had 5.

so when huckabee and all others on this board make jabs about romney’s earned wealth ask yourselves this - what have i done with that which God has given me? have i invested wisely? Romney is not beholding to any special groups. unlike huckster and mcnasty.

your tax dollars are going to mcnasty and huckabee to run their campaigns. remember the little box on your tax return?

i haven’t decided who i’m going to vote for. but i know it won’t be mcnasty or huckster. that leaves me with 4 other choices - romney, paul, clinton or obama.

i’m not going to compromise my beliefs or principles for a candidate who has stabbed the conservatives in the back one time to many.

it may be that many of us need to start a new conservative party.

Carolyn, your venom, reveals who you really are. If you are considering Clinton and Obama, then what exactly are you? The Bible says not to bear false witness. I can’t candy coat the truth. Dallas this does not tell the complete truth, just a shadow of the truth. Mike Huckabee supported “legal” immigrant children. The parents were not legal but the kids were born in the USA. They are citizens and just like all legal citizens, the best performers received college tuition assistance. They were already here, no fault of Mike Huckabee, due to Federal Government weakness. It is pretty smart for the hardest working, highest achievers to go to college and become excellent tax paying citizens.

IF MCCAIN IS ON THE BALLOT - WE WILL GO INTO FULL GEAR WITH “CRSH 4.4 ! This way, we will not lose our dignity and, like the Jimmy Carter term, will assure 16 years of true Republicans, values, family and economic growth.
We must be courageous and not vote, as a true protest, not a typical religious right (one issue constituent that, “have been had”).
YOU can help preserve our founding fathers and Reagan’s beliefs for the USA, and NOT RON REAGAN JR.S.
Don’t be afraid to boycott this 4 year term (this will be our first time not voting — if RINO McCain is the choice. We will lose anyway; you know it in your heart.
So, CRSH 4.4 after 4 years with OBILLARY and then we willbe ready for a true conservative “ROMNEY” + a good VP.
If we lose our dignity and act like good little loyal Republicans, we are finished, as McCain is a Democrat running on the Republican Ticket! Therefore, we have no remorse, at all!
We can only pray that the true Republicans get it…. when they have been “had” (Huckabeed).
God bless and stay courageous against the machine you must fight, as to your ethics and livelihood. Thus we are no dummies, we know what’s going on at the F….News Ch.

MIKE HUCKABEE, THE “CAN DO” CANDIDATE

I consider it a great honor and privilege to have the opportunity to support a candidate like Mike Huckabee. If anyone can unite this country and move us towards positive change, it is Mike.

As I recall, during one of the debates, Mike mentioned his stance on energy independence, saying he would push towards having America end the import of foreign oil in ten years and move us towards renewable energy sources. One of the other candidates, (I believe it was Fred Thompson), interrupted Mike and said “that can’t be accomplished in ten years”. Mike replied by saying that he was tired of hearing people say “we can’t” and “it’s impossible”.

Mike knows that we can accomplish anything if we truly have the desire and put our minds to it. Just look at how he remains a strong contender in this primary, despite the fact that the news media would like to write him off. Mike, and we, his supporters have remained steadfast in our resolve to see him in the White House and we WILL NOT give up.

Mike is the “can do” candidate and he will inspire this nation to accomplish great things as President. Please cast your vote for Mike Huckabee on Super Tuesday.

Hey A.G. Why bother campaigning for Huckabee’d (RINO MCCAIN’S SIDEKICK). You may as well be campaigning for Hillary, since that’s what Huckabee supporters are doing. Get real — Huckabee is a spoiler. You’re going down the same painful path that Perot supporters did — that’s what put BillyBob Clinton in the White House.

Kelli
A FRIENDLY REMINDER: A VOTE FOR HUCKABEE IS A VOTE FOR MCCAIN IS A VOTE FOR HILLARY

The fact that he was willing to walk over to Shush just to get her question, speaks volumes about his character. People matter to him, on both the micro and macro level. I can’t see John McCain going out of his way to hear what just one person wants to say.

By the way, I have a coworker that usually votes for democrats, but can’t get behind either Hillary or Obama. She asked me to give her ten reasons why she should vote for Mitt Romney. I posted them on my blog. I would really appreciate it, if you went to the blog and added your own comments, to help this “one” voter decide who she should support.

Thanks

Kelli: Have you seen the poll results that show the Huckabee votes being split evenly between McCain and Romney if Huckabee were to drop out?

A vote for Huckabee is NOT a vote for Romney. A vote for Huckabee is a vote for Huckabee.

A.J., I stand by my comments. There’s a saying “live by the polls, die by the polls”. Polls can be tweaked to produce results. No sense trying to make you understand that Huckabeed/RINO McCain sidekick has no chance. We tried “reasoning” with the Perot supporters — but had to put the Country thru Hell* to show Ross’s supporters the damage they did. Even Perot admits it now — BTW, Perot is a Romney supporter this time around. Unfortunately, we sometimes have to get burned a few times to stop putting our finger on the fire. Oh well. I’m sure your intentions are good, but sadly misguided. Of course I haven’t any more right than you to try and promote my hopes and beliefs. If McCain (thanks to Huckabee) becomes the nominee, this will be my first time sitting out a Presidential election. No compromise.
Best regards,
Kelli

Kelli: If you don’t believe in the polls, then I have to wonder what you are basing your assumption on that a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain.

You know, I’m sure that if Huckabee supporters were to ask Romney to drop out of the race, Romney supporters would be laughing all the way to the polls on Tuesday.

It is totally ridiculous for anyone to ask those of us who support Huckabee to give up on our candidate.

FYI, I have inside information that it’s TRUE that Huckabee is staying in the race to become VP to McCain.

Remember this you Huckabee fans, your man of integrity…

Annette: Would you like to share your “inside information” with the rest of us?

So far, I have seen nothing factual to support your idea that Huckabee will be McCain’s Veep. I’ve only seen bloggers posting comments such as yours.

Huckabee is staying in the race to become our next President.

A.G. Why would a “supposed” Baptist Minister all but endorse a liberal Republican (RINO) whose family values stands on many liberal social issues, (i.e., against Bush’s tax cut initiatives, be so amicable and constantly complimentary of John McCain, who slammed the religious right in 2000 as “not needing them”, and made every issue that the Conservative Right (Bush) was trying to either get passed, to0 many and constantly impeded George W. Bush?
It’s so obvious that he only atacks a man that is not spending others money and that has such high convcitions that he is spending his own and taxes paid n his livelihood, took no salary as Gov.?
There is GOOD News Here! I vote for Huckabee or McCain is a vote to gaurenttee Obillary 08′ wonder why? This will assure 4 years of a similar Jimmy Carter administration as happened in 76′ and then Reagan was able to come in for 8 and 4 for Bush! Sometimes it’s best to make certain we lose, as to assure a true Republican to come back and win big. Reagan was a businessman, Govenor, and not “IN” with the RNC machine in 76′. Now an icon and hero to nearly all. So please vote for Huckebee or McCain, as our motto is “CRSH for 4 win 16″. (Conservative Republicans Stay Home for 4 years, win 16 in 2012).

Kelli: I have not seen Mike Huckabee even come close to endorsing McCain. You are just making that up out of thin air. Huckabee endorses Huckabee.

And perhaps you didn’t see the debate in Caifornia in which Huckabee agreed with Romney; that a governor has the type of experience needed in order to run this nation (as opposed to a Senator, such as McCain). Did you not see that? Mike Huckabee has been affable and critical, at times, towards every candidate.

I can’t give names, only that he is a congressman.

AG, how will that make you feel when it does happen?

You watch, I spoke with him last week and funny thing it started airing on CNN and Foxnews yesterday.

My only hope was that it was not true and Romney and Huckabee would run together, but after hearing it on the news channels yesterday, my worst fears came to light.

McCain needs a conservative to run with him so that he can try to unite the party, as explained to me. I for one can’t and won’t vote for him, I would rather vote for Clinton and wait it out another four years to try again.

I know politics is a dirty game, my husband ran unsucessfully in 2005 for city council but was unable to get the message across because of the lack of funds. The others were spending $65,000+.

It’s clear that Huckleberry is staying in the race to help The McCainchurian Candidate. What a tool. What does Huckster think? That we’ll support for a guitar-playing jokester that clearly is pandering to the “front-runner”? While his quirky one-liners bring brevity to the debates, they’re hardly presidential. Hey Huck, let’s be serious for a minute. A vote for you at this point IS a vote for Juan McCain. You’re playing 3rd wheel here. Get a clue and get out!

I just cannot imagine a Barney Fife type on global affairs, or Festus from gun smoke. We had one before and it is still haunting us 30 years later, gave up the Panama Canal, (now run by Red China, declared we were no longer a superpower, 18% interest rates, double digit inflation, nearly all of Central America was either communist or strong socialists, and the beat goes on. Though he was a fine Christrian.
Republicans have always shot themselves in the foot as one issue people, most notibly the ole’ bible belt, so the more God Bless that’s stated the more Huckabeed some become, handing McCain a 3rd position on the Dem. ticket this fall.
How long does anyone believe it will be before the media, starts in on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, (Brief Case with the nuclear button?), age, health, anger, to mention only a few.
In 2000, many Belters, stayed home when it was leaked that GWB, has a DUI as a younger man, thus we got Florida chads. How many others do you suppose are in Russert’s,Media, Obillary’s quiver?
This is Democracy, I now can better understand why a Putin, tells us to handle our own Democracy style and they will handle theirs. Let’s face it, WE do not elect a President, the Media does.

Romne is a gentleman… and a man with honor and integrity… there is no doubt.

Incredible… I felt something was way wrong, and it’s finall dawned on me what it is.

The Republicans are really being played for fools…

Take a man who is liberal and has spoken of changing over to the Democrat Party in the past. He knows he can count on the liberals support and endorsements if he runs Republican, and that’s a big plus. How many calls and late night dinners did it take? McCain knew if he went against Hillary/Obama on the Democrat ticket, he would just be another candidate and wouldn’t have a chance.

And here’s the beauty of the strategy - a liberal (Democrate at heart) running and winning on the Republican ticket with liberal endorsements, and of course the Independents he can count on because he is liberal… faces Hillary/Obama as a peer … a party nomination winner.

What genius - what deceit - he has a better chance at the White House with this strategy and there is the added bonus of destroying the Republican Party as well as Rush says.

What a guy… Republicans, you better wake up before it’s too late.
