Romney Loans 18 Million Dollars to His Campaign
San Diego, CA–
Mitt Romney gave 18 million dollars of his own money to his campaign in the last three months of 2007. In total, he has poured 35 million dollars of his personal fortune into his campaign.
The Romney camp also reported raising 9 million dollars in donations in the fourth quarter equaling 53.5 million dollars for the entire year. The campaign spent 33.8 million during the last 3 months of the year equaling 87.6 million dollars spent in 2007. The camp reports having 2.4 million dollars cash on hand at the end of the year.
The campaign did not release any numbers for January meaning that Romney may have donated even more than 35 million dollars to his campaign. The camp launched an aggressive ad blitz today signaling that former Massachusetts governor may have used more of his vast wealth, which is estimated at upwards of 250 million dollars.
Campaigns were required to file their end of the year finance reports today with the Federal Election Commission.

Mitt is the 2008 Flip Flopper!
Abortion-
As Gov: it is a personal choice and not the govt
As Candidate: pro-life
FLIP FLOP
Immigration-
2 Years ago: backed McCains plan
As Candidate: vilifies McCain
FLIP FLOP
All he does is shift his position to the Conservative side, saying what they want to hear. Do not trust any “conservative” that comes out of Massachusetts, the most liberal state in the Union.
Check McCains 30 year record. He is more of a Republican and Conservative then Mitt ever was, is, or shall be.
Check realclearpolitics.com. McCain is the only one that can beat the Dems.
McCain 2008
Conservatives are understandably glum about their erstwhile champions in Washington, so ingloriously surrendering to liberal pressures. The left would like nothing more than to keep conservatives glum. A McCain nomination would go a long way to making conservatives want to stay home and stew on Election Day. by L Bozell
I will never ever vote for John McCain again, Go Romney!
If McCain the snarly, bitter, and angry man becomes the nominee, my vote goes to Hillary Clinton. They pretty much have the same agenda but at least Hillary Clinton isn’t promising a hundred more years of war. McCain was a POW, true–but he needs to stop bringing that fact everytime he is asked about his position in immigration and what he can do for the economy. He lied about Romney in Florida. He lied again at the debate last night. He had the chance to come clean last night but he did not. Typical old grandpa McCain. He only sees everything his way. Can’t teach an old dog new tricks, indeed. Is that the kind of President we want running the whitehouse?
A NOTE OF CAUTION!
The link to Romney’s add just took me to an adult web site.
Somebody needs to see if it localized or not.
McCain is a liar. He’s fabricated a position Governor Romney never held and despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, he continues to promote the lie. It’s just like another Republican who tenaciously promoted an absolute lie to the American people to get what he wanted.
Besides, better a flip-flopper who is emotionally stable and reliably in the party 90% of the time than a member of the Republican Party who can be 100% counted on to oppose the GOP whenever it suits him. This “Maverick” brand of McCain’s is just an excuse for doing whatever he gets it in his mind do and to excuse his bellicose, intemperate manner.
As a conservative Republican, I’m not voting for McCain for President under any circumstance. For all the times he’s ditched conservatives when it matters, I’ll be happy to ditch him when he finally needs conservative support.
There’s no difference between Hillary Clinton and John McCain. If they’re opposing each other in the general, America loses no matter which wins.
I’m impressed that Mitt has raised the kind of money and that he’s committed so much of his own money to the race. I hate the way McCain attacks then sits there with that silly grin on his face. The comments he unleashed the day before the Florida primary was clearly a lie and everyone knows it, yet he won’t take it back or excuse himself. He comes off looking like the stereotypical, lifetime politician that he is. Mitt: turn it into a character debate! McCain cheated on his first wife openly after she waited for him all those years to return from Vietnam. McCain eventually divorced her when he was 44 and married a 26 year old a month later. McCain is a career politician and he represents all that is wrong with Washington. MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS IT!
On the other hand, you should speak more of your own credentials: you’re a good Christian, you’re still married to your high school sweetheart, you have the perfect family values we all need, you’re the only one that had a real job and business, your living was made in fixing and investing in business, and you’re the only one with a Harvard MBA! Change the stump speech and expose the character flaws of McCain while touting your own.
Huckabee: Suck it up and get out of the way. You’re taking away from Romney and giving votes to McCain. We all know you love the guy, but are you willing to lay all your Christian values at McCain’s feet?! Work a deal with Romney and let Christian values triumph!
The only reason people think that McCain can beat Hillary is that he IS Hillary. He’s the closest person in the GOP to her! If it’s McCain vs. Hillary it will be politics as usual, again. So much for all of the “change” hype! Wake up people!!!
Mitt is the only conservative in the race. Don’t believe me? Just ask Enigo Montoya, “My name is Enigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die…” or Miracle Max, “Have fun boys storming the castle…”

Mitt you can’t buy everyones vote with your money…
Fellow Republicans…..we have to unite to stop McCain. He is not a true republican. If we do not unite and stop this man from become the nomine then we will lose the soul of the true Republican Party. The only person who has a legitimate chance of beating McCain is Mitt Romney. Like him or not, it’s the truth. Huckabee supporters, band together with the rest of us who are true conservatives of the Republican Party to stop this imposter McCain! Look at the facts, Mitt Romney is our only legitimate chance. Back in 2001 McCain came very close to leaving the Republican Party to become a Democrat. That should show all of us that he is not a true Republican and conservative. He is willing to do ANYTHING to win the white house. He is telling us all what we want to hear that that we will support him. However, when he gets into office he will side with the Democrats on a majority of the issues. I’ve attached an article proving just how close McCain was to leaving the Republican Party back in 2001

Democrats say McCain nearly abandoned GOP
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) was close to leaving the Republican Party in 2001, weeks before then-Sen. Jim Jeffords (Vt.) famously announced his decision to become an Independent, according to former Democratic lawmakers who say they were involved in the discussions.

18 million Romney still thinks he can buy his way into the White House. Sorry but some of us can’t be bought your way too liberal for me.
Have you ever heard the phrase “money can’t buy me love”? Romney can’t buy votes. Mike Huckabee is the choice of mainstream conservatives. He is winning in super tuesday states, without the money. He has people power!!
It is not too late for Romney supporters to join Mike Huckabee in defeating John McCain. Look at all the money Mitt has spent and he is still not leading. For the good of the party please join Mike Huckabee, a great conservative leader. Together we can win it all!!
I have to agree with you Mark that why I swiched my support from Romney to Huckabee. I also made my first donation of my life to Huckabee.
To all who accuse Mitt of “buying” votes, let me remind you that John McCain MARRIED a wealthy heiress when he married Cindy Hensley McCain and he isn’t willing to pony up any of his fortune acquired through marriage. He expects you to do that for him. Mitt, on the other hand, has EARNED his money and is willing to make sacrifices to get his message out. Mitt doesn’t have the advantage of decades of name recognition as McCain does, so he has to take the opportunity to let people get to know him. Stop the class warfare arguments. It is so Democratic! I will continue to donate to Mitt because some ideals are worth making sacrifices for. Mitt, of all the other candidates, understands that as well. GO MITT!! You are the only true conservative and true gentleman in the race!!!!
Another $50 to ROmney is in the mail.
As long as Huckabee and Romney both stay in the race, McCain wins…..
Adding the Delegates, Huckabee can not win….Romney will win alot of the west states, it’s time for Huckabee to get out.
But Huckabee is a anti-mormon bigot, he will not exit and allow a mormon to win, a BIG DISGRACE in the name of GOD…..AND, he will not get the nod for VP from McCain….
Go Mitt!
I like that Mitt puts his money out there, shows he cares, and as far as money goes, he can always make more, he has proven that. What have the others done………Married it (at the expense of a former spouse), or taken it off the plate………
Folks,
I’ve been bloigging about this and trying to remind folks for nearly a month now, I remember when it happened. McCain can’t be trusted to stick to conservative principles. Never has been, never will be!

Here’s a quote or two from the story:
Democrats had contacted Jeffords and then-Sen. Lincoln Chafee (R-R.I.) in the early months of 2001 about switching parties, but in McCain’s case, they said, it was McCain’s top strategist who came to them….
Downey added, “It’s my hope that John McCain is the Republican nominee because from my perspective, although I think Democrats are going to win, if they don’t, McCain is the sort of man I would feel comfortable [with] as the president of the United States. I’m not trying to hurt him.”
Daschle said he doesn’t believe the new revelations will hurt McCain. “Everyone has known John McCain to be independent, to take his own course. That was a time in his life when he at least weighed the possibility of becoming an independent, but he rejected it, so I can’t imagine that can ever be used as a political liability.”
Unquote
If Downy and Daschle like and want McCain to win, WHY ARE WE EVEN GIVING HIM THE TIME OF DAY!
I also seem to remember McCain supporting legislation that resulted in the draw down that gutted our military. But I’ve not found the proof yet.
McCain isn’t a Maverick he’s a snake in the grass.

Dude, if you don’t think McCain has more than his fair share of flip flops then you don’t know his record very well. He most recent FLIP-FLOP has been on immigration. Check it out for yourself if you don’t believ me.
We have a man feeling so passionately about our American Nation and he firmly believes that he can make a difference in office. He is willing to spend so much money to get his voice heard. He has too. He is the outsider, the one without lobbyist friends and Washington insider networks. What Mitt Romney is spending in money others (note McCain) are spending in political coalition, agreements, pay backs and negotiations? This whole campaign year is an ugly process and I welcome the idea of an outside r contributing from his own pocket to break up the political mafia.
I served under Mitt Romney in the Olympics and I came to know of his intellect, efficiency in running things and synergy in uniting people of all types. Our great nation deserves the best that we can give it. Mitt Romney knows this and so do million others.
VISIT MITTROMNEY.COM
Sorry John but I have to disagree with you Mitt has said he’s raised more money than any other candidate without his own cash. If this is true he should not be using his own money in a attempt in my opinion to buy the whitehouse. Mike Huckabee on the other hand has done a great job with minimal cash and is not far behind Romney or Mccain in the delegate count. Mike will do great in the south and midwest. We’ll see where things stand after next Tuesdays who has the most delegates.
How about dropping Huckabee and supporting Romney to defeat Mccain? Would make more sense wouldn’t it?
Why do many of you insist that the only one to beat McCain is Romney. Romney has so many things in his past that make him anything but a conservative. How about you drop Romney and support the man who is the closest to a conservative in this race MIKE HUCKABEE.
Mitt Romney can never be accused of being bought by special interest groups.
Mitt needs to point out McCain’s flip flooping ( and risk McCain’s whining about unfair politics - it is only fair when McCain does it) about immigration. At the debate McCain said he wouldn’t now vote for the immigration bill that he sponsored!
McCain considered running as an independent - McCain considered running as a democrat - isn’t that the ultimate in fip flopping.
And one last thing - a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain. Huckabee will drop out after super Tuesday and throw his support to McCain -then Huck’s true colors will show.
Surfklutz your just wrong headed as your candidate.
Let see flip flop on gun rights, abortion rights , gay rights etc. I suggest you look at your candidates record while running for the senate and as governor of Ma. Then theres mandated health care he should be so proud!
VOTE FOR THE ONLY TRUE CONSERVATIVE MIKE HUCKABEE!!!!!!!!!
Jwarner-
I was a Thompson supporter until he dropped out.
A vote of Huckabee is a vote for McCain. Just watch then determine what kind of guy Huckabee reallyh is.
Surfklutz,a vote for anybody other than Romney,is a vote for America….However Huckabee is the man…..it seems that He’s only 1% behind Romney this afternoon on fox……..this article is about money, and it is being wasted…He could use that money and get some of the homeless of of the streets of Boston or Bail out the Auto industry in his home state….He’d rather spend it on himself in an attempt to screw up the country
Here is the dirty big secret that Dick Morris, the Democrats and liberal media do not want McCain and Huckabee supporters to understand until AFTER the Republican primary is over:
1. a vote for Huckabee at this point in the race is a vote for McCain. Huckabee cannot win the primary and is almost out of money.
2. a vote for McCain in the Primary is a vote for Obama or Clinton in the general election.
McCain cannot win the general election and McCain knows that without the base of the Republican party he, like Dole before him, will loose. The base will never support liberal McCain. Anyone voting on super Tuesday and beyond who is considering McCain or Huckabee needs to think long and hard about the impact of their vote. If you prefer President Obama or Clinton over Romney, then vote for McCain or Huckabee my friends.
ALL REPUBLICANS NEED TO FLOOD THE INTERNET WITH THIS MESSAGE, SHARE AND DEBATE IT WITH MCCAIN AND HUCKABEE SUPPORTERS AND TAKE BACK OUR PARTY………WE CAN WIN THE WHITEHOUSE IN ‘08!!
Calling all TRUE Conservatives on Super Tuesday we need to Support Mitt Romney!!!!
Romney is not a conservative. I can’t understand how anyone can trust this guy (Romney). Is it because he is RICH?
The only way that the Republican can keep the White House is if Huckabee and McCain are on the ticket (Huckabee for President and McCain for Vice President).
Romney said;
“I promised that if elected, I’d call a truce - a moratorium, if you will…I vowed to veto any legislation that sought to change the existing rules…I fully respect and will fully protect a woman’s right to choose.”
(Taken form http://www.perrspectives.com).
He raised fees, but he said he didn’t increase taxes. Give me a break!!!.
Vote Mitt Romney!!! Yes, He is Rich he earned it. McCain wife is Rich and he is liberal.
Why democrats think the dream ticket is Obama-clinton or clinton-obama. The true dream ticket is Clinton-McCain or Obama-McCain. They would get votes from all demo, moderate, centrist and some liberal republican. Then Huckabee can be secretary of something that divides things, he is doing a great job right now.
Headline Error: It should read, “Congressman Ron Paul RAISES $20 Million”
But no - Fox Noise chooses to promote a spend-aholic, compulsive debtor as the top fundraiser.
Incidentally Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate either party who HAS NOT incurred any debt.
Doesn’t take a genius to figure out that these guys are not going to stop running up debt once they get elected. But the dumb lemmings will just lay there like good lapdogs and slumber as their masters scratch them behind their itchy ears WITH SPENDING PACKAGES THEY CAN’T EVEN FUND WITHOUT CHINESE INVESTMENT. That’s it, sell the country!
I can’t wait until they collapse this country. I will buy your houses, assets and companies for pennies-on-the-dollar.
Oh incidentally, seen the price of NWS (News Corp) (Fox Stox) lately?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Mitt’s and Huckabee are the only conservatives istill in teh race and Huckabee doesn;t have a snowball’s chance of getting the nomination. A vot efor Huckabee is just a vote for McCain.
If you don’t believe that Mitt is the best man for the job, read the Club for Growth’s analysis.
On Romney:
Mr. Toomey said, “given his overall record as governor and the strong pro-growth positions he has taken on the campaign trail, we are reasonably optimistic that, as President, Mitt Romney would generally advocate a pro-growth agenda.”
On Huckabee:
Mr Toomey said, “Huckabee is proud of his tax hikes, his spending increases, and his regulatory expansions as governor, and he has not indicated that he would govern any differently as president. Nominating Mike Huckabee for president or vice-president would constitute an abject rejection of the free-market, limited-government, economic conservatism that has been the unifying theme of the Republican Party for decades.”
Time to learn to be a gracious loser Huckabee and let Romney settle the election with McCain.
The stakes are high on Super Tuesday for the republican parties’ presidential contenders, but it could not be higher for them than it is for America.
It is very important for the voter to do some homework this weekend so that we as a nation do not end up with a severe case of buyers’ remorse on Wednesday morning. We must be true to our roots and not allow the wolves in sheep’s clothing to rob us blind, and deprive us of who we are, and what we represent as a people once enlightened with the vision of Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan, and George Bush.
There are wolves and they have been running a well coordinated attack, and have already taken some of our associates down. These wolves have us on the run and have begun to strategically divide us, and scatter us in preparation for the final move, the destruction of liberty. They want to chase us down the dark road too socialism. We need to rally around our core principles and adhere to them. We must ensure the safety, and success of our parties’ great but now endangered legacy. We need to rise up with a united voice and cast our vote this coming Tuesday, to the only conservative out there; that man is Mitt Romney. Vote Mitt Romney President of the United States of America in 2008.
