Romney Campaign Super Tuesday Strategy
San Diego, CA—
Mitt Romney today spoke about where else he plans to compete besides California before the Super Tuesday contests. He revealed some of their strategy to defeat John McCain that was developed after their loss in Florida:
“We took the US in map form and in grid form and looked at all the states. Looked at where there are winner take all settings, where there are caucuses, where the states apportion delegates based upon districts. We looked at our figures, as to how well I’m doing in each of those areas,” Romney told reporters, “based on the preliminary information we have, we divided the nation in three major parts. One are states we think we’ve got a very good chance of picking them up, others that are states where it’s highly competitive and then there are others that are real long-shot states. And we’re going to focus our attention on those we think we’ve got a great chance of picking up, and a few of the competitive states and of then course you look at where the delegates are.”
done
The campaign expects to compete in California and to have strong showings in other states such as Colorado, Utah, Montana, Missouri, Idaho and Alaska. The former Massachusetts governor also hopes to do well in Georgia, Connecticut and in his home state. He will campaign in Colorado and Minnesota over the next few days. They believe the map looks good for them and the campaign is very clear that they don’t believe Super Tuesday is when the Republican nominee will be chosen saying, “This isn’t going to be decided on February 5th.”
If there was any doubt that Romney is still aggressively battling it out for a victory he told the press today that he is sending his son Josh to campaign for him in Alaska.

Let’s face it, none of the candidates are perfect. They never are. But McCain is the least perfect of the viable candidates. The only one left standing who can honestly be said to share most of our conservative principles is Mitt Romney. I say this as someone who has not been an active Romney supporter. If conservatives don’t unite behind Romney at this stage, and become vocal in their support for him, then they will get McCain as their Republican nominee and probably a Democrat president. And in either case, we will have a deeply flawed president.
Oh yea I almost forgot: A VOTE FOR HUCKABEE IS A VOTE FOR McCAIN! That is a fact. so Huckabee voters make your vote really count. Set aside your religious differences and Rally for Romney. Conservatives need to act now, before it is too late. McCain will not win against the Democrats you can take that to the bank.
When Ann Coulter says that she’ll vote for Hillary Clinton over John McCain, you need to stop and take notice. John McCain based his candidacy on “Straight Talk.” He has deviated so far from that, that he must be hopelessly lost in the woods.
All of the journalists are calling him a liar for his recent comments about Mitt. If he’ll lie to America now, he’s not going to stop later.
To see respected journalists comments about his recent remarks and a hilarious spoof on the Princess Bride involving Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee, go to http://www.conservativesformitt.blogspot.com
It’s amazing how similar saying Huckabee looks to saying Humperdink…
Darrell and Dano are right. Would you like to see Hillary run for the GOP nomination? Neither would we!!! That’s why we’re so mad.
Can anyone tell me that McCain’s last three pieces of legislation were anything but liberal garbage?
Other’s may want to piss this country away to the wind by voting for socialists, but I’m fighting mad!!! Romney ‘08!!!
Huck should drop out, I think he has a chip on his shoulder toward
Romney for being wealthy & successful. Jesus says forgive brother, and go
and sin no more. Envy is evil. McCain is taking the wheels off straight
talk express, because its hard for him to win without lies. Republicans
don’t take McCains bus to the bridge to nowhere. He has no vision,
other than ambition.
I really liked when Mike Huckabee said: “If Christians don’t vote conscience and conviction, and they only vote parties — if they are purely partisan — then they really disenfranchise themselves from the very basis upon which they said they were involved in politics…. I’ll be very clear: I am Christian first; I am a Republican second. … my value system is the one thing I have to hold on to. A hundred years from now, which party is in power is not going to make a whole lot of difference, but whether I was true to my moral compass means everything.”
This reminds me of Matthew 7:24-27 (MSG) right after Jesus preached the Beatitudes, Love your Enemies, The Lord’s Prayer, the Golden Rule and warnings about Judging Others and Wolves in Sheeps Clothing:
“These words I speak to you are not incidental additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundational words, words to build a life on. If you work these words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who built his house on solid rock. Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado hit—but nothing moved that house. It was fixed to the rock. But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don’t work them into your life, you are like a foolish carpenter who built his house on the sandy beach. When a storm rolled in and the waves came up, it collapsed like a house of cards.”
I’m an evangelical voter and a Huck supporter, but I’m gonna vote for Romney because McCain is basically Hillary Clinton + Iraq. Mitt isn’t perfect. Either is Huck. But heck, I cannot stand McCain’s brand of social liberalism and pro-amnesty. Huck is a VP candidate and viable down the road, but this year it’s McCain v. Romney. McCain scares me, frankly.
I am behind you Romney. I will not vote for McCain in the General.
Fellow Republicans…..we have to unite to stop McCain. He is not a true republican. If we do not unite and stop this man from become the nomine then we will lose the soul of the true Republican Party. The only person who has a legitimate chance of beating McCain is Mitt Romney. Like him or not, it’s the truth. Huckabee supporters, band together with the rest of us who are true conservatives of the Republican Party to stop this imposter McCain! Look at the facts, Mitt Romney is our only legitimate chance. Back in 2001 McCain came very close to leaving the Republican Party to become a Democrat. That should show all of us that he is not a true Republican and conservative. He is willing to do ANYTHING to win the white house. He is telling us all what we want to hear that that we will support him. However, when he gets into office he will side with the Democrats on a majority of the issues. I’ve attached an article proving just how close McCain was to leaving the Republican Party back in 2001
http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/democrats-say-mccain-nearly-abandoned-gop-2007-03-28.html
I’m a evangelical and Huck supporter as well. With that being said, I’m going to be voting for Mitt Romney. I agree he isnt perfect but he is the closet that we have. McCain needs to be stopped! Mitt is the only one who has a legit chance of beating him. We all need to unite and support Mitt beccause he is the only and last chance we have at saving the Repubican party and getting a man of true character and morals in the white house. People we have to do this! Not for ourselves but for the soul of out country! This is bigger than any of us….our country is depending on us.
Please stop McCain Mitt!
Anyone who doesn’t want a Dem in the White House but refuses to vote for McCain is being ridiculous. McCain is going to be the nominee: get over it! btw, Romney is worse than McCain because Romney has no soul, and I’d rather take a genuine man I don’t like a lot than a man who sold out and only takes positions because a focus group told him to. Besides, Romney is a Republican version of Kerry (flip-flopper!) and would lose big against the Dems. McCain is our only chance to beat Hillary or Obama: get over yourselves and get in line to defeat the real threat!
[...] Here is an interesting post about Mitt’s Super Tuesday Strategy. [?] Share This [...]
Here is the dirty big secret that Dick Morris, the Democrats and liberal media do not want McCain and Huckabee supporters to understand until AFTER the Republican primary is over:
1. a vote for Huckabee at this point in the race is a vote for McCain. Huckabee cannot win the primary and is almost out of money.
2. a vote for McCain in the Primary is a vote for Obama or Clinton in the general election.
McCain cannot win the general election and McCain knows that without the base of the Republican party he, like Dole before him, will loose. The base will never support liberal McCain. Anyone voting on super Tuesday and beyond who is considering McCain or Huckabee needs to think long and hard about the impact of their vote. If you prefer President Obama or Clinton over Romney, then vote for McCain or Huckabee my friends.
ALL REPUBLICANS NEED TO FLOOD THE INTERNET WITH THIS MESSAGE, SHARE AND DEBATE IT WITH MCCAIN AND HUCKABEE SUPPORTERS AND TAKE BACK OUR PARTY………WE CAN WIN THE WHITEHOUSE IN ‘08!! GO MITT!!!!
Ann Coulter isn’t the ONLY one who would rather see Hillary in The White House than McCain! Bravo, Ann!
I agree. Romney is the only candidate that can save the republican party. Huckabee supporters should band together and vote for Romney. He is the only candidate that can stop McCain. McCain cannot win in the general election. His age, temper, and scandals will all stop him. Romney is a solid conservative.
If you want to find out about the real John McCain ask him why the Navy never gave him a promotion while he was a POW.
I think he should change his name by dropping the Mc and leaving the Cain or better yet Judas.
To find out the truth about this so called “War Hero” go to http://www.vietnamveteransagainstjohnmccain.com/
GOP with a Brain:”McCain is our only chance to beat Hillary or Obama”
If you believe in McCain and agree with his ideas of governing…then fine…but if you think that you or anyone else should vote for McCain based on the fact that you are convinced he has a chance of beating another candidate then you are missing out on the reason this is a conservative movement brewing. We are standing on our values. We are standing on what we believe in. Not who we can beat. And that is what it is all about. We do not believe in Big Government. We want freedom of speech. We want to stop Washington from spending our money foolishly. We want American jobs back in the US. We are voting for what we believe in and we are praying there are enough of us left to make the fight worth it.
GOPwithaBrain: How ironic. Your username is as arrogant and offensive as McCain’s attitude. Can’t you see the “holier than thou” schtick from McCain and Huckabee are deeply offensive? You calling those of us that mistrust McCain “ridiculus” does not win us over. I assume you are not in sales. Salesmen do not offend their potential buyers.
Here is an alternative strategy: McCain could humbly admit he was wrong on immigration, tax cuts, limiting free-speech etc. Oh, I guess that wouldn’t work, because that would make him a “flip-flopper”.
I agree with GOPwithabrain - I may not agree totally with McCain but he’s the only one that can beat the others in the fall. Heck the way Mitt changes his mind - he’d be agreeing with Clinton or Obama by the time the general gets here. Please tell what is so conservative about Mitt? I need to know because at this point I haven’t made up my mind but I sure am leaning toward McCain. I have to wonder about a man who has already spent approximately 40 mill of his own money to attempt to get in office. It is his money and he can do what he wants with it, but could this be a reflection of how he will spend our money? I can’t believe that anyone within our party would vote for Hillary. I might not vote, but I sure won’t cast a vote for Hillary “Rodent” Clinton and company.
All you guys are arguing about is which of the “lesser evils” you will vote for.
Why not vote for the real conservative who has NEVER voted for a tax increase; NEVER voted for an imbalanced budget: ALWAYS voted to protect our right to bear arms: ALWAYS voted to follow the Constitution; voted Against this trillion dollar wars that are bankrupting us and will get us out of these costly debacles; voted to bring our troops home from 130+ countries to protect our own border with Mexico which is as porous as a sponge.
Check out Ron Paul’s positions and track record on his website http://www.ronpaul2008.com and check him out on http://www.youtube.com and you will not have to vote for the lesser of other evils.
Mccain is the third democrat candidate and Huck is the spoiler to Mitt if we dont wake up . Mitt isnt perfect but He is our truest chance to have a conservative nominee. If Mccain wins and does get elected the dems have a r.i.n.o. (republican in name only) to push their liberal agenda . Mccain is more of a forked tongue express. Heres a bit on “my friend ” John . Gotta catch that sarcasm .
The Real McCain Record
Obstacles in the way of conservative support.
By Mark R. Levin
There’s a reason some of John McCain’s conservative supporters avoid discussing his record. They want to talk about his personal story, his position on the surge, his supposed electability. But whenever the rest of his career comes up, the knee-jerk reply is to characterize the inquiries as attacks.
The McCain domestic record is a disaster. To say he fought spending, most particularly earmarks, is to nibble around the edges and miss the heart of the matter. For starters, consider:
McCain-Feingold — the most brazen frontal assault on political speech since Buckley v. Valeo.
McCain-Kennedy — the most far-reaching amnesty program in American history.
McCain-Lieberman — the most onerous and intrusive attack on American industry — through reporting, regulating, and taxing authority of greenhouse gases — in American history.
McCain-Kennedy-Edwards — the biggest boon to the trial bar since the tobacco settlement, under the rubric of a patients’ bill of rights.
McCain-Reimportantion of Drugs — a significant blow to pharmaceutical research and development, not to mention consumer safety (hey Rudy, pay attention, see link).
And McCain’s stated opposition to the Bush 2001 and 2003 tax cuts was largely based on socialist, class-warfare rhetoric — tax cuts for the rich, not for the middle class. The public record is full of these statements. Today, he recalls only his insistence on accompanying spending cuts.
As chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, McCain was consistently hostile to American enterprise, from media and pharmaceutical companies to technology and energy companies.
McCain also led the Gang of 14, which prevented the Republican leadership in the Senate from mounting a rule change that would have ended the systematic use (actual and threatened) of the filibuster to prevent majority approval of judicial nominees.
And then there’s the McCain defense record.
His supporters point to essentially one policy strength, McCain’s early support for a surge and counterinsurgency. It has now evolved into McCain taking credit for forcing the president to adopt General David Petreaus’s strategy. Where’s the evidence to support such a claim?
Moreover, Iraq is an important battle in our war against the Islamo-fascist threat. But the war is a global war, and it most certainly includes the continental United States, which, after all, was struck on 9/11. How does McCain fare in that regard?
McCain-ACLU — the unprecedented granting of due-process rights to unlawful enemy combatants (terrorists).
McCain has repeatedly called for the immediate closing of Guantanamo Bay and the introduction of al-Qaeda terrorists into our own prisons — despite the legal rights they would immediately gain and the burdens of managing such a dangerous population.
While McCain proudly and repeatedly points to his battles with Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, who had to rebuild the U.S. military and fight a complex war, where was McCain in the lead-up to the war — when the military was being dangerously downsized by the Clinton administration and McCain’s friend, former Secretary of Defense Bill Cohen? Where was McCain when the CIA was in desperate need of attention? Also, McCain was apparently in the dark about al-Qaeda like most of Washington, despite a decade of warnings.
My fingers are crossed that at the next debate, either Fred Thompson or Mitt Romney will find a way to address McCain’s record. (Mike Huckabee won’t, as he is apparently in the tank for him.)
— Mark R. Levin served as chief of staff to Attorney General Edwin Meese in the Reagan administration, and he is a nationally syndicated radio talk show host
REMEMBER A VOTE FOR HUCK IS A VOTE FOR MCCAIN . FIGHT HARD OR WE WILL SUFFER FOR YEARS TO COME !!! WE CANNOT ALLOW THE LOSS OF TRUE CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPALS.
I will support Mitt Romney to the very end (hopefully the White House.) If he is not the GOP nominee, then I will vote for Obama. I would rather have someone who is a gamble rather than someone who I know to be a lying, pro-amnesty, divisive traiter to GOP principles.
I really don’t understand the “flip-flop” charge leveled against Romney — isn’t a sincere change of heart different than someone who would say anything to win (McCain?)
It will pain me to take down my Mitt Romney signs and bumper stickers and replace them with Obama — but I will if that is my only alternative.
VOTE for the best man in the race. Mike Huckabee. I intended to vote for Romney until I saw his performance at the last debate. His claim that this is a two man race is wrong. Mike will win in the southren states and be competitive in many others next Tuesday with only a fraction of the campain cash as Romney.
Hucks leads in the southern states are not as big as they were last week. McLiar is leading in alabama and catching up with huck in GA

Folks,
I’ve been bloigging about this and trying to remind folks for nearly a month now, I remember when it happened. McCain can’t be trusted to stick to conservative principles. Never has been, never will be!
http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/democrats-say-mccain-nearly-abandoned-gop-2007-03-28.html
Here’s a quote or two from the story:
Democrats had contacted Jeffords and then-Sen. Lincoln Chafee (R-R.I.) in the early months of 2001 about switching parties, but in McCain’s case, they said, it was McCain’s top strategist who came to them….
Downey added, “It’s my hope that John McCain is the Republican nominee because from my perspective, although I think Democrats are going to win, if they don’t, McCain is the sort of man I would feel comfortable [with] as the president of the United States. I’m not trying to hurt him.”
Daschle said he doesn’t believe the new revelations will hurt McCain. “Everyone has known John McCain to be independent, to take his own course. That was a time in his life when he at least weighed the possibility of becoming an independent, but he rejected it, so I can’t imagine that can ever be used as a political liability.”
Unquote
If Downy and Daschle like and want McCain to win, WHY ARE WE EVEN GIVING HIM THE TIME OF DAY!
I also seem to remember McCain supporting legislation that resulted in the draw down that gutted our military. But I’ve not found the proof yet.
McCain isn’t a Maverick he’s a snake in the grass.
We have a man feeling so passionately about our American Nation and he firmly believes that he can make a difference in office. He is willing to spend so much money to get his voice heard. He has too. He is the outsider, the one without lobbyist friends and Washington insider networks. What Mitt Romney is spending in money others (note McCain) are spending in political coalition, agreements, pay backs and negotiations? This whole campaign year is an ugly process and I welcome the idea of an outside r contributing from his own pocket to break up the political mafia.
I served under Mitt Romney in the Olympics and I came to know of his intellect, efficiency in running things and synergy in uniting people of all types. Our great nation deserves the best that we can give it. Mitt Romney knows this and so do million others.

You can’t vote for the VP spot, so Huckabee supporters need to get a dose of reality. No matter how many southern baptist states vote for him, statistically he will not be the Republican nominee. Period. HUCKABEE’S BIGGEST SUPPORTER RIGHT NOW IS JOHN MCCAIN. He is relishing how Huck is taking votes away from Mitt. Just look at the perpetual smirk on McCain’s face! You know it’s really bad for conservatives when Ann Coulter says she’d vote for Hillary before she’d ever vote for McCain. The wheels have completely come off the “Straight Talk Express” as McCain spews one lie after another about his own record and Mitt Romney. CONSERVATIVES: WE CAN WIN IF WE UNITE BEHIND MITT ROMNEY. That is the only way we will succeed.
If I was Mitt my strategy would be to air a couple of national tv ads that would not lie but state these FACTS:
MCCAIN SAID HE IS FOR CLOSING OUR BORDERS
MCCAIN’S OUTREACH DIRECTOR IS JUAN HERNANDEZ
HERNANDEZ HAS BEEN ON MANY TV SHOWS SAYING HE IS FOR OPEN BORDERS AND THAT MEXICO, CANADA AND THE US SHOULD BE ONE BLOCK. (I don’t know if any of you have seen him on tv. This guy is a real wacko. He has even been banded from Glenn Beck’s show.)
QUESTION: IS MCCAIN TRYING TO FLEECE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AGAIN?
Put these ads on Saturday night just like McCain did to Mitt. BUT ONLY STATE THE FACTS.
I don’t understand why this story hasn’t gotten any legs (including FOX) but i’ll bet the MSM will start to bring it up if he gets the nomination
GOPwithaBrian
McCain will loose badly in the general election and the fact is that no Republican candidate has or will win without the party base. The base hats McCain. Independants will vote Democrat in the general election. So again, a vote for McCain or Huckabee is a vote for Clinton or O’Bama. This is fact and not debatable!!!
This next Tuesday Republicans will be picking the next President of the United States. A vote for John McCain will put Hillary Clinton (or Barack) in the White House and a vote for Mitt Romney will bring to this nation a leader of great intelligence and compassion and a leader I believe will unite the Republican Party and the Nation better than any President has in many years.
I wholeheartedly recommend any undecided Republican to go to http://www.mittromney.com and select Mitt TV to make an informed decision about what Mitt Romney has actually accomplished and what he actually stands for.
To all of those still supporting Huckabee at this critical moment, my question is this–If Huckabee is a true conservative, why would he allow McCain to get the nomination? He knows he can’t win. He knows that a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain. Huckabee is not dropping out from this race because of one reason only. He is selfish and is only looking out for himself. If he truly stands for the core principles of the Republican party, he will bow out of the race and allow us — the voters — to stop McCain from getting the nomination.
Should McCain get the nomination — my vote goes to Hillary Clinton!
Those who say that a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain are exactly right. Huckabee can not win - and he is staying in the race to take votes away from Romney. When Huckabee does withdraw (and he will after super Tuesday) he will throw his support to McCain. And that will show what Huckabee is really like.
Why isn’t anyone pointing out the McCain flip flopping? He’s for amnesty, he’s against it. He wants to be a republican, he wants to be an independent, he wants to be a democrat. He sponsored bills with prominent democrats, now he says that he would not vote for those particular bills. McCain is truly scary to me.
One more thought - Romeny is spending his own money - and that should indicate something very important about Mitt - he has not been bought by any special interest groups.
McCain has spent most of his campaign in the red. If he can not run the finances of a campaign effectively, how does he expect to run a country’s finances. I guess he will just have to “read up” on it.
Romeny , we are all for you.
McCain should run for presidency as a liberal democrat and fight with Hillary and Obama.
News media is helping him all the way.
I can not understand the mediocrity of our party. I am mad and voting for Romney until the end. This election is one of the most important in decades and the lack of conservative support is outstanding and fustrating. McCain’s moral superiority is enough to turn anyones stomach. If Ann Coulter is voting for Hillary, don’t you think other will follow. Think about it people, vote Romney,,,if u care about our future. I can not help but think of the Bob Dole effect when I see McCain. He will never will. Obama and Clinton will chew him up. They certainly have enough amunition on the guy and in his ever increasing back turning on the republican right.
A VOTE FOR ROMNEY IS A VOTE FOR OUR FUTURE
I have difficulty with many Huckabee supporters, social conservatives, not willing to support Mitt Romney. I think if you would just look at his family you would realize he embodies the beliefs you hold dear. He is an excellent father and husband. He wants to keep marriage between a man and a women. He believes in the sanctity of life. He has an excellent moral compass and his life has demonstrated that.
I think that if anyone would have been in the state of Utah during the Salt Lake Olympics and witnessed him turn those around both economically and from all the bribery and corruption, they would in no doubt vote for him. Now add on all he did in the private sector, Bain & Company, and what he did for Massachusetts, and you will see he is a true leader and deserves your vote.
Gov. Romney has solid support here in Oregon, but we have a late primary date. We still campaign for Gov. Romney and hope that we, in the very late states, may be the ones to put Gov. Romney over the top. We are disgusted with McCain’s underhanded politics and hope truth will ultimately prevail.
How does McCain justify McCain-Fiengold not allowing an Oct. surprise but does not deny The man representy the liberal wing of our party the same restrictions from putting a lie out there a day before the Fla. primary. He also said on Meet The Press, that he would still vote for the immigration bill that failed. The press allows him to jump right in and say, it does not matter, because it will never come to a vote. Also not calling him on the fact that he did not want the public to see the legislation before the vote. I am not surprised that Arnold-The former Gov. of NY and maybe Chuck Haigle- Warren Rudman and a few more from the left wing of our party.
If Gerald Ford & his vice President -Bob Doll and a few others stand up, maybe some from their grave, it would not surprise me. If I want a liberal in the White House, It might as well be Hellary. At least the democrats would get the blame for the desaster that will follow. I like Rush, will not stand by and watch this happen. I will stay at home on election day for the first time in my voting years. Mc Cain quoting Reagan, It makes me sick
HUCKS, FREDS, MITTS
Stop bickering and vote for MITT!!!
CASE CLOSED
GO ROMNEY THERE IS SUPPORT FOR YOU MITT AND IF YOU DONT TAKE IT THIS TIME RUN AGAIN IN 2012 BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT MCCAIN WONT WIN THE PRESIDENCY!!!
I am convinced that Mitt would be the best leader for our country. John McCain is full of himself and does not care about this country at all. He’ll do or say anything for a vote. He will go against his own people in this country to try to get the Mexican vote. He doesn’t care about the little guy in this country trying to get ahead. He doesn’t have to worry about that. The reason for the fall of our health care system is because of all the illegals using it for medical treatment. All of our hospitals are closing. The reason the terrorists are getting into our country is because they are getting through our borders along with all the drug dealers. He doesn’t care about any of that. I will not ever vote for McCain even though I’m a long time Republican. Huckabee is not a true Christian. He is a very jealous man. Jealous of Romney. How many people is McCain buying off telling them that they are going to have a job when he gets in.
McCain grow up!! america need a man like Mitt . America has to take care of itself! And you are not man that this needs at this time!! Keep up Mitt I know who I can trust!
To Diane and John:
“The reason for the fall of our health care system is because of all the illegals using it for medical treatment.”
I am a Mitt supporter and an immigrant and know plenty of legal and illegal immigrant and I can tell you the above statement is not true.
Let’s make sure we stick to the facts, we are better than McCain.
Check out this recent study done by the well respected New England Journal of Medicine (Aug 9, 2007:
“For recent immigrants — especially the estimated 12 million who are here illegally — seeking health care often involves daunting encounters with a fragmented, bewildering, and hostile system. The reason most immigrants come here is to work and earn money; on average, they are younger and healthier than native-born Americans, and they tend to avoid going to the doctor. Many work for employers who don’t offer health insurance, and they can’t afford insurance premiums or medical care. They face language and cultural barriers, and many illegal immigrants fear that visiting a hospital or clinic may draw the attention of immigration officials. Although anti-immigrant sentiment is fueled by the belief that immigrants can obtain federal benefits, 1996 welfare-reform legislation greatly restricted immigrants’ access to programs such as Medicaid, shifting most health care responsibility to state and local governments. The law requires that immigrants wait 5 years after obtaining lawful permanent residency (a “green card”) to apply for federal benefits.”
“Whether or not they have health insurance, immigrants overall have much lower per capita health care expenditures than native-born Americans,1 and recent analyses indicate that they contribute more to the economy in taxes than they receive in public benefits. In a study from the RAND Corporation, researchers estimated that undocumented adult immigrants, who make up about 3.2% of the population, account for only about 1.5% of U.S. medical costs.”
John McCain is a liberal and he cannot disguise it by his “My friends” speak and his “Let me give you some straight talk” speak. McCain is an insult to all conservatives. McCain is on the wrong side on almost every issue but the war. Conservatives and moderate Republicans need to wakeup before it’s too late. Huckabee supporters need to consider if they support McCain because at this stage of the delegate process a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain. Now is the time to rally around a conservative and that’s MITT ROMNEY” a proven leader.
My thoughts as a Reagan Republican, for National Election November 2008 - IF LIBERAL RINO MCCAIN (with Huck’s help) IS ON THE BALLOT, sadly, for the first time since 1980 (yes, my first and most cherished vote was for Ronald Reagan!), I will not vote for John McCain - no compromising my principles on this one. To the RNC Establishment — we won’t forget.
Save your dignity - CRSH4.4 (”Conservative Republicans Stay Home for Four Years)

REMEMBER, A VOTE FOR HUCKABEE IS A VOTE FOR MCCAIN IS A VOTE FOR HILLARY
I agree wholeheartedly with Kellina. I will NEVER vote for mcnasty or hypocrite mike.
i’ll stay home. it will please me greatly to watch mcnasty and the huckster pout because they didn’t win. they believe we aren’t serious when we say we will stay home or not vote.
just wait and see.
and to all those endorsments he is receiving, hope you get what you deserve. another clinton or barack for president.
From the Washington Post…(re. Romney’s Character) He’s not the devil some of you guys make him out to be…I don’t see anything about another candidate that comes close to comparing to this! Actions speak loudly!
But he’s less known for the time he shuttered the firm in 1996 for a few days and lost millions in potential earnings. The reason: The 14-year-old daughter of one of his partners had gone missing after attending a rave party in New York. The firm’s employees went into action, forming a search team and using their connections to generate publicity. Soon, a fellow partygoer who saw news reports about the search called police to say that the girl was safe at a friend’s house in suburban New Jersey.

Please take some time today and pray for Mitt Romney and all those who have been deceived by the lies of the Mormon cult. The fact is that unless they renounce those lies and turn to faith in the one true Jesus of the Bible, they will die and spend eternity in hell. Pray also for these Christian leaders who have for whatever reason, foolishly aligned themselves with Romney. Pray the Holy Spirit will convict them and that they will renounce Romney and find a candidate to support who will hold to Biblical values. There is no excuse, no justification for supporting and voting for a man who will be used by satan to lead the souls of millions into the eternal flames of hell!
Folks,
Among the dozens of negatives I could quote about Juan McCain. This is among the worst.
Democrats say McCain nearly abandoned GOP
http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/democrats-say-mccain-nearly-abandoned-gop-2007-03-28.html
He went crying to the Democrats becuase he lost the election to Bush 43. How can we ever trust him or take him seriously again!?!

I appreciate you’re sincere concern for Mitt, Mormons and Mitt’s supporters. So I’m also sincere when I say that I hope you don’t take this as an insult.
But please take some time to consider the agenda of those who have brainwashed you against The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its members. You obviously have a deep concern for others which it most likely based upon you love of Christ. But you’re concern is somewhat mis-directed.
Nevertheless, I will concur with your call to prayer, but for different reasons. I ask all those who read this to pray for Mitt that he will continue to have the Faith, Courage and Ability to stand up against the evil being inflicted by McCain and all those who would tare him down. Pray also for the Republican party that while we are going through this turbulant time that we will not loose our way but shall remain true to our virtues and continue to support our wonderful country. Pray for Romney’s supporters and his staff that they may have the ability and skill needed to help to make Romney successful.!
Go MITT!
Is it really that unusual for a Southern Baptist to stay in the race to try to keep a Mormon from winning? Huckabee is such a bigot he’s staying in the race although he knows he won’t win. He’s taking his jealousy and bigotry out on Romney. We hope that if McCain gets the nomination, he will not ask a man of Huckabee’s questionable character to be his VP. That would send a message about lying and bigotry during a campaign.
Romney is not a conservative. I can’t understand how anyone can trust this guy (Romney). Is it because he is RICH?
The only way that the Republican can keep the White House is if Huckabee and McCain are on the ticket (Huckabee for President and McCain for Vice President).
Romney said;
“I promised that if elected, I’d call a truce - a moratorium, if you will…I vowed to veto any legislation that sought to change the existing rules…I fully respect and will fully protect a woman’s right to choose.”

He raised fees, but he said he didn’t increase taxes. Give me a break!!!.
Fred toke some of Mike vote in SC.; Fred didn’t drop out to help Mike
Why should mike drop out to help Mitt?
I wouldn’t drop out help Mitt because he plays nasty. He is a Dirty politician; he should not be the president of the US.
VOTE MIKE HUCKABEE !!!
The stakes are high on Super Tuesday for the republican parties’ presidential contenders, but it could not be higher for them than it is for America.
It is very important for the voter to do some homework this weekend so that we as a nation do not end up with a severe case of buyers’ remorse on Wednesday morning. We must be true to our roots and not allow the wolves in sheep’s clothing to rob us blind, and deprive us of who we are, and what we represent as a people once enlightened with the vision of Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan, and George Bush.
There are wolves and they have been running a well coordinated attack, and have already taken some of our associates down. These wolves have us on the run and have begun to strategically divide us, and scatter us in preparation for the final move, the destruction of liberty. They want to chase us down the dark road too socialism. We need to rally around our core principles and adhere to them. We must ensure the safety, and success of our parties’ great but now endangered legacy. We need to rise up with a united voice and cast our vote this coming Tuesday, to the only conservative out there; that man is Mitt Romney. Vote Mitt Romney President of the United States of America in 2008.
