I voted for Obama in the Georgia primary and plan to pull the leaver for Democrats if Obama is on the top of the ticket. I did this as a former white Republican!! If Clinton heads the ticket, I will obviously pull the Republican and not Democratic lever to vote straight party line. In fact, I have never voted a straight Democratic ticket in my life. What is the inspiration for me doing this? Very simple - Obama. Is Obama considerably more liberal than I am? You betcha. Obama is intelligent and articulate. I also believe that he is somewhat of an idealist and will do more to bring both sides of the isle together more than McCain or Clinton could ever do. Hillary Clinton is a very tough, smart cookie, but I believe she is raw ruthless ambition in its worst form. Sorry, but I just don't believe her tears shed at the beginning of the primaries was anything other than a planned outburst of emotion, displayed solely for the purpose of which it regrettably succeeded in doing. What I am looking forward to is for the Afro Americans to finally get to see what the Clintons are really like. They will make Sherman’s march through Georgia look like a walk through the part - all driven by selfish ambition and not what is best for the Democratic Party. They will try every conceivable way to take this away from Obama. And Hillary's comment about the white vote wanting her to stay in, it a Republican had said something like that, there would be marches and riots in the streets. My guess is that Obama is way too smart to put Hillary on the ticket. Obama is about building a consensus. Hillary has always been divisive and continues to have high negatives. I believe in hope and change, and I believe that Obama will be an excellent agent for these lofty goals. Go Obama!!
