Rudy to rivals: Stop the “high school politics”
Cocoa Beach, FL — Rudy Giuliani is continuing his kumbaya message with hours to go before the Florida primary.
“I feel like my two opponents, Senator McCain and Governor Romney, are doing such a good job attacking each other. How about voting for somebody who is not attacking? Vote for Rudy Giuliani!” he told a crowd of about 250 at the Ron Jon Surf Shop. “Let’s be clear about the important priorities–that’s what a presidential election’s all about. A presidential election is not about name calling. A presidential election is not about gotcha–and almost like high school politics. A presidential election is about things that are bigger than us.”
When asked at a press availability earlier in Port St. Lucie if his opponents’ lack of attention to him meant he was no longer taken seriously in the race, Giuliani instead chose to repeat his call for civility. “I think that is the wrong kind of campaign to be conducting here in Florida,” he said.

Brilliant statement by Giuliani. It’s entirely true, this is not High School politics. We aren’t voting for a meaningless Class President or, worse, Prom King. We’re voting for leader of the free world who will inspire millions with knowledge, organization, planning, and ideas that will make countries stronger.
We’re not voting for who can attack better, who can give better speeches, who fills us with happy goodtime feelings. We’re voting for President of the United States — and our country need to start acting like it on both sides of the fence.
Rudy,
Will you please endorse Mitt Romney when He wins Florida?
Well, it’s now obvious you can’t trust McAmnesty on this issue of the timetables. He’s pathetically desperate at this point and willing to try any shameless tactic out of the Clinton playbook.
We turn, then, to an independent 3rd Party. In this case it’s ironically the same newspaper that endorsed McAmnesty last week, The New York Times.
1-27-08 They wrote, “The charge appears to be misleading. The McCain campaign pointed to remarks Mr. Romney made last year in which he said he believed that President Bush and Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki of Iraq should have “a series of timetables and milestones” that they discussed among themselves but did not announce publicly. But Mr. Romney has not called for setting a date for withdrawal.”

McAmnesty is blatantly lying to voters to scare them into voting for him. If that’s the type of “leadership” you’re looking for I guess he’s your man.
Go Rudy, I can’t wait for Feb. 12th so I can vote for you in the Maryland Primary………I still love you and I think you’ll make a GREAT PRESIDENT
I don’t think Rudy has gotten a fair shake from the media. He would not take any nonsense from the terrorists and he understands how to defend this country, having beaten the mob in NY over the years. He’s also great on the economy; his tax cut is awesome. And, if you’re pro-life like I am, Rudy is ironically the best bet because he has someone like Ted Olson in charge of choosing judicial nominees. His judges would be strict constructionists who would be more likely to seriously reconsider Roe than some “consensus” pick that McCain will make to please his buddies on the other side of the aisle. We’ve had pro-life Presidents, whom I’ve loved nevertheless, who gave us Sandra Day O’Connor, Anthony Kennedy and David Souter, all of whom have been thorns in conservatives’ sides. Rudy would ironically be the best friend to those of us on the right who care about the types of justices that will end up on the Supreme Court. I predict that McCain will be the worst. He has a history of trying to please the media and Ted Kennedy et al way too much. PLEASE GIVE RUDY A FAIR SHAKE IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS SO HE CAN TURN THINGS AROUND IN FLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S I AGREE THAT MCCANE MISLEAD PEOPLE WHEN HE SAID ROMNEY CALLED FOR A TIMETABLE AND THAT’S JUST SAD…..I LOVE RUDY, LIKE I SAID IN THE IN MY PREVIOUS BLOG, BUT IF RUDY CAN’T GET THE NOMINATION, THEN , I HOPE ROMNEY GETS IT……I WOULDN’T MIND SEEING RUDY AND ROMNEY ON THE SAME TICKET…..I AM ALLOWED TO DREAM…..I STILL LOVE RUDY THOUGH……I ALSO AGREE WITH THE PHRASE MCAMNESTY…….
Mr. Giuliani, I hate to break the news to you but the writing is on the wall. The country appreciates your leadership during the 9/11 crisis in your city but does not desire to hire you as our next president. Please pack up your bags, take down the signs, and throw your support behind the other candidate who is not a Washington insider: MITT ROMNEY.
You know, The “Author of Amnesty” is in for a Surpise on Tuesday and I hope the “Amnesty Man” chooses to endorse Rudy Giuliani after Rudy wins Florida on Tuesday.
People haven’t forgotten last summer. We have Romney who claims to be the candidate of change and then there’s good old John McCain… the “Candidate for Amnesty”.
I mean what the heck right John? It’s not your money being spent on illegal aliens… it’s the taxpayers money. I guess that means it’s free in your mind.
For the love of God America wake up!
Vote Rudy!
This country is struggling to avoid what could become one of the most severe recessions it has ever seen and Florida is on the front lines, economically.
Florida Republicans want to know what McCain plans to do about it besides promote needless, ineffective environmental regulations that impose more compliance costs on business.
And McCain wants to change the subject.
He’s like an inept FEMA bureaucrat who refuses to respond appropriately to warnings about the severity of an approaching hurricane.
Plain and simple Rudy is the best chioce, hes not arguing with anyone ,only the issues at hand he is a plain and simple chioce,Romneyis a great buisness man . and McCain is a true american hero but Rudy kows how to handle himself and Politics. He is motivated isnt that just what we need.DONT waste your vote.Vote for RUDY
Check out the Michelle Malkin’s website. Her latest piece shows exactly what McCain (that’s senator lettuce to you, my fried) has “learned” from the people’s reaction to his bill last summer: NOTHING, otherwise he would not have Juan Hernadez as one of his campaign advisors.
Mitt Romney can not be trusted. He will say anything and pay anything to win. Just look at the debate, Romney cheated. Do you want someone dishonest and deceptive as our president? Don’t believe me? Look at these 3 videos of the Florida debate and tell me Romney did not cheat. There is no denying it.

I agree, Rudy is a very good man, and if Romney was not in the race I would vote for him.
I’m actually hoping for a Romney/Rudy ticket.
Two great turn-around aritists in the white house. They would be awsome together.
Let us count McCain’s conservative credentials:
-he wrote the bill granting amnesty to illegal immigrants (co-sponsored by Ted Kennedy)
-he voted to give your social security money to illegal immigrants
-he voted against the Bush tax cuts multiple times (he has since flip-flopped and has campaigned as a lifelong tax-cutter)
-he routinely engages in Democratic class warfare against big companies in America
-as recently as December 2007 he admitted “he does not know the economy very well” and needed to get better at it
-he wrote the McCain-Feingold campaign finance bill that was declared to be an unconstitutional infringement of the 1st Amendment (co-sponsored by ultra-liberal Democrat Russ Feingold)
-he was called the “worst 2nd amendment candidate” by the president of the NRA
-wrote a bill (co-sponsored by his buddy Lieberman) imposing a massive tax on energy which, according to the Department of Energy, would drastically raise the price of gasoline and put 300,000 Americans out of work
-supports radical global warming legislation which involved him voting with every Democrat
-he joined forces with Democrats (Gang of 14) to block the Senate Republican’s attempt to confirm conservative, strict constructionist judges
-he joined liberals to fight against a federal marriage amendment supporting the institution of traditional marriage
-campaigning in 2000, he famously described Christian leaders as “agents of intolerance”
-he filed an amicus brief against pro-life advocates in Wisconsin
-he met with leading Democrats in 2004 to discuss the possibility of being John Kerry’s Vice-President
-McCain cheated on his first wife after she had a severe accident. He then divorced her and married his multi-millionaire mistress, whose daddy bought McCain a spot in the Congress
-with most of these positions, unfortunately, McCain hasn’t flip-flopped and vows to fight for these liberal causes as president
If I wanted to elect a Democrat, I would vote for Hillary or Obama.
Let us now look at some of his endorsements:
-New York Times
-Geraldo Rivera
-Joe Lieberman
-Bill and Hillary Clinton
-Juan Hernandez (Mexican, pro-amnesty zealot who now ADVISES McCain)
-nearly every member of the liberal media (most newspapers have endorsed him for this very reason, phrasing his strength as an ability to “attract the support of liberals”)
If you are a Republican, do not let the most liberal elements of the media tell you who to vote for and who is “electable”. Electability polls fluctuate wildly every week (+16 this very week in favor of Romney). A recent example: Bob Dole was considered far and away the “most electable” Republican because he was respected by Democrats and because of his military service.
The question of the age in the 1930’s was not the economy, nor abortion, nor supreme court justices. It was Nazism and its potential to overturn the very fabric of society. We did not need a Neville Chamberlain then, we needed a Winston Churchill. The question of our age is likewise not the economy, abortion, or supreme court justices. The question of the next 20 years is Militant Islam, the global jihad, the potential loss of Europe to its Muslim cultural jihad, and the entrance of nuclear terrorism. Today, we need another Churchill, another Reagan, to answer the forces arrayed against our national security. Rudy is the only candidate who has come face-to-face with the jihad and its ruthlessness. He, I believe, is the only candidate who is truly determined to defeat Islamic jihadism. It is critical we have a president who is of this mindset if our children and grandchildren are to live in a world without fear. Rudy will not let us down.

Rudy should be the GOP nominee. Look at the facts objectively. Here are 5 great reasons to vote for Rudy:
http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/01/rudy_giuliani_should_be_gop_no.html
I agree with Paul with his comment. I believe that Rudy would be the best choice for the Republicans. He has a moderate stance on the issues like most Joe Americans and he was able to run and improve New York City. New York is like a small country with its diversity and is one of the most Democratically leaning cities in the country. If he can get things working there, he can get Congress working as well.
Don’t let the media tell you who is the most viable candidate. They were wrong in New Hampshire and they can be wrong again.
So what? Rudy has the right to defend himself against unjustified attacks and slander, but Mitt is “high school” if he tries? Nice try.

WHO IS THE DEMOCRATS FAVORITE REPUBLICAN? WATCH THIS TO FIND OUT:
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video_log/2008/01/romney_democrats_favorite_repu.html
Rush Limbaugh just came out and said that he and many others agree that McCain was dishonest about his comment on Romney’s ‘timetables’…. Pretty dirty. McCain shows his true character when pressured. Rush says McCain’s behavior was ‘contemptable’ and even though he claims to be an ‘honorable man’ there was no honor in this. Rush compared McCain’s behavior to Clinton tactics.
He should apologize to Romney and I hope McCain’s dishonesty does hurt his votes in Florida - I hope the people wake up we have too much at stake.
I like you Rudy, my daughter thinks your cute - but I don’t feel comfortable with you being our President.
Vote for Romney ‘08 !!
