Romney Attacks McCain on McCain-Lieberman

Sweetwater, FL–

Governor Romney predicted a win in Florida here in front an enthusiastic mostly Hispanic crowd. He donned a Cuban guayabera shirt to greet the supporters cheering, “Go Mitt go!” Romney was asked by a reporter about the angry back and forth between him and Senator McCain yesterday, but he called that “yesterday’s news:”

“I understand he’s anxious to try and see if he can’t get the topic away from the economy. But I’m going to remind him of his statements time and again about his lack of understanding of the economy,” Romney said. Reporters asked the presidential hopeful several questions on a range of topics, but he brought back most to his rival, John McCain going after him on his lack of experience and understanding of economic policy.

“I simply don’t think, I simply don’t think that the people of Florida are gonna say the nominee of our party ought to be a person who on more than one occasion has expressed lack of understanding of our economy at a time when the economy is the number one issue that people are talking about here in the state of Florida.”

The former Massachusetts governor also brought up a new attack going after his rival on his legislation, the McCain-Lieberman Climate Stewardship Act:

“Instead of seeing if there’s a way of stimulating the economy, McCain-Lieberman would depress the economy. His plan calls for a new financial burden to be placed on people who are purchasing gasoline or for that matter natural gas to heat their homes or to cook in their homes. The energy information agency has said that his plan would cost America 300,000 jobs. In addition, people would pay, they estimate, approximately 50 cents per gallon more for gasoline and 20% more for their gas utility bill. That would depress the economy just at a time when we’re trying to stimulate the economy,” Romney continued, tearing into McCain on his understanding of the economy, “One of the challenges with having a president who in this case, we’re talking in this case, a presidential candidate, who says on repeated occasion that he doesn’t understand the economy terribly well is that he would suggest a policy that would actually depress the economy rather than stimulate it at the very time we need our economy to have a greater boost. “

Romney continues campaigning in Florida tomorrow making five stops around the state, scrambling for those last minute votes before Tuesday’s primary. Romney and McCain are in a dead heat here—a win for either candidate would be a large delegate boost. But, the winner will also use that momentum to go on and try to garner even more delegates on Super Tuesday thereby securing the GOP nomination.

Rubber Romney. He can stretch to make himself appear to be for or against any issue. Just let him know what you want.

Go Romney! You have the experience, the leadership, and the morals we need to lead our country. You are now leading the polls in Florida. You already lead in popular vote, delegates, and wins. You will win Florida and be our nominee.

You are the man we need! We support you overseas.
Romney 2008!

Romney’s attacks won’t work…Vote McCain!!!!

Mitt would lose in the general election. He’d be pilloried for being a flip-flopper, and the dems would get revenge for 2004.

I think it is fair to attack someone on their record… however pretty low to present false accusations about someone’s record. Look what happened with Hillary and Obama. It is ugly and people are tired of old kinda of dirty establishment politics. I would like to see Romney go head to head with Obama.

SEND AN EMAIL TO JOHN MCCAIN AND TELL HIM HE SHOULD APOLOGIZE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE FOR HIS DISHONESTY!! TELL HIM WHAT YOU THINK OF HIS LIE ABOUT ROMNEY AND LET HIM KNOW HE HAS LOST YOUR VOTE! TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO DO THE SAME, LETS LET HIM KNOW WE WON’T TOLERATE THESE KINDS OF DIRTY TRICKS ANY LONGER!

HERE’S A LINK TO HIS “CONTACT US” ON HIS WEBSITE (You don’t have to use your real name etc. just send him a little word to let him know how disgusted we are)!

Better than an email is a vote which I’ll be sending Tuesday and afterwards I’ll be glad when Romney loses Florida with the hope that his attacks might start to slow down…

Romney has no foreign policy experience. He said you can go to the state department for foreign policy experience.

Romney is unqualified to be commander and chief.

The Climate Stewardship Act WILL cost the consumer money, their are better ways to cut our emmission, Nuclear being at the top of the list, why on earth are we not building 100 new nuclear reactors, RIGHT NOW! and Drilling OUR oil, RIGHT NOW!\
I’m into conservation, but I’m into keeping our country moving and employed! TAXES and RESTRICTIONS just will not help us grow.

GO MITT! I’m getting tired of McCain and Huckabee LYING and getting away with it.

Hey Henry, that rubber man has created over 150,000 american jobs, and even as governor has never taken a dime of tax payer money.

He is the only one to stay true to his convictions throughout this campaign. And when he does go after McCain, its with an actual piece of information, not a big fat lie like McCain and huckabee. Its Mitt Romney all the way.

Just one more observation. Everyone calling him a flip flopper, what you are really saying is he has no core beliefs, no moral center. Yet he is the candidate that has stayed faithfully married to the same woman for 38 years. He is an exceptionally rich and attractive man, so I find it hard to believe that no woman ever tried to make a play for him, but he never took the bate, not once. Even when his wife was (still is) battling multiple sclerosis, rather than look for a twinkie on the side he reafirmed his love and devotion to her, telling here that no matter what, he would always be with her. Its a love story worthy of a Holly Wood movie. His personal life is completely scandal free.

Now contrast that with McCain whos first wife waited for him while he was a POW for 5 years, then when he gets home, as soon as she is hurt in a car accident he dumps her for another woman.

Now, tell which one of these two guys is struggling with core beliefs. Which of these guys to you want setting the standard for family values.

Mitt is the man. Go Mitt!

People are tired of McCain’s dirty politics. He once said if you wrestle with a pig the pig likes it and you both get dirty. McCain lied yesterday, and it says a lot about his character, because he knew it was a lie.

Hey DAN. Why would you use a false name? Unless of course you are a coward. BTW do you have Romney’s e-mail? There are a lot of things I would like to say to that puppet.

Comment by Dan

“John McCain is Bob Dole minus the charm, conservatism and youth. Like McCain, pollsters assured us that Dole was the most “electable” Republican. Unlike McCain, Dole did not lie all the time while claiming to engage in Straight Talk.” –Ann Coulter

“If nominated, John McCain will destroy the Republican Party.”- Rush Limbaugh

“Florida will be the beginning of the end of Juan McLame’s career of fighting for amnesty, teaming up with liberals against tax cuts, giving your social security away to illegals and being the single biggest backstabber to the conservative movement.”- Me

Let us count McCain’s conservative credentials:

-he wrote the bill granting amnesty to illegal immigrants (co-sponsored by Ted Kennedy)
-he voted to give your social security money to illegal immigrants
-he voted against the Bush tax cuts multiple times (he has since flip-flopped and has campaigned as a lifelong tax-cutter)
-he routinely engages in Democratic class warfare against big companies in America
-as recently as December 2007 he admitted “he does not know the economy very well” and needed to get better at it
-he wrote the McCain-Feingold campaign finance bill that was declared to be an unconstitutional infringement of the 1st Amendment (co-sponsored by ultra-liberal Democrat Russ Feingold)
-he was called the “worst 2nd amendment candidate” by the president of the NRA
-wrote a bill (co-sponsored by his buddy Lieberman) imposing a massive tax on energy which, according to the Heritage Foundation, would drastically raise the price of gasoline and put many US companies out of business
-supports radical global warming legislation which involved him voting with every Democrat
-he joined forces with Democrats (Gang of 14) to block the Senate Republican’s attempt to confirm conservative, strict constructionist judges
-he joined liberals to fight against a federal marriage amendment supporting the institution of traditional marriage
-campaigning in 2000, he famously described Christian leaders as “agents of intolerance”
-he filed an amicus brief against pro-life advocates in Wisconsin
-he met with leading Democrats in 2004 to discuss the possibility of being John Kerry’s Vice-President
-ditched his first wife after he had a severe accident. He then had an affair with his rich second wife, whose daddy bought McCain a spot in the Congress
-with most of these positions, unfortunately, McCain hasn’t flip-flopped and vows to fight for these liberal causes as president
-if I wanted to elect a Democrat, I would vote for Hillary or Obama

Let us now look at some of his endorsements:

-New York Times
-Geraldo Rivera
-Joe Lieberman
-Bill and Hillary Clinton
-Juan Hernandez (Mexican, pro-amnesty zealot who now ADVISES McCain)
-nearly every member of the liberal media (most Newspapers have endorsed him for this very reason, phrasing his strength as an ability to “attract the support of liberals”)

If you are a Republican, do not let the most liberal elements of the media tell you who to vote for and who is “electable”. Electability polls fluctuate wildly every week (+16 this very week in favor of Romney). A recent example: Bob Dole was considered far and away the “most electable” Republican because he was respected by Democrats and because of his military service.

Voters in Florida and around the country, if you are a conservative, consider whether McCain’s career record of liberal positions and ineptitude is actually the best you can hope for. Consider if he is the most electable candidate even if many prominent conservatives have vowed to “sit out” this election if he’s the nominee.

Spread the word to other conservatives before the liberals on TV and in the newspapers steal this election away from the conservative movement (lower taxes, stronger families, stronger military, no amnesty).

Oh please, do we really want change, how about putting someone in office for a change that has not been on the government payroll for the majority of his lifetime,
Romney would make a great president and he would represent our nation well.
McCain is a one subject politican and has been on the public dollar too many years, let us get some fresh ideas and people in Washington, Someone who has been successful in the private business and look what Romney did for the Olympics and his bi partisan success in Mass, McCain is not the best for change,
I praise him as a war hero , but I think we need new outside the beltway ideas to help Washington, and we definitely need to review the tax code and reduce drastically the spending, and American’s also need to step up to the plate and give up some things as well, since 911 we have been at war with a deadly challenger, and I am one that thinks, had t he Congress been more helpful, this war would have been over a long time ago, with only a contingent in Irag, I think that the division cost us not only lives but our image. The ecomony needs fixing, housing prices have been inflated too long, Americans needs to tighten their belts and quit buying on credit, What is the average house price, what is the annual wage, quite a difference, we need to become a fiscally responsible nation, what is McCain doing to help in these efforts, our economy needs someone who understands all this…………

to Karl:

His attacks? are you nuts? Mitt is not the one running around spreading out right lies. Mitt is the one who is constantly being attacked from all sides. Look at the first republican debate in NH. It was a dog pile on Mitt. And your boy McCain was at the front of the pack.

Still, Mitt held his own and absolutely dominated in the next debate, and dominated again in Florida. What this tells me is that the only way McStain, or the Huckster can hope to beet Romney is by spreading lies about him. In a fair fight that focused on the issues they don’t stand a chance and that is why they hate him so much.

McCain is a discusting liar and he needs to be stopped. Huckabee is a Gomer Pile looking freak.

Mitt is the man Go Mitt!

Wow… It looks like McCain did Romney a favor.

Keep attacking Romney and hurry up and spend the rest of your money so the majority or Republicans can get on with selecting OUR nominee!!

Comment by Gloydian

Even if you do nothing else, you McCain supporters ought to at least do a little research on
him and on Mitt.
Mitt Romney was spectacular in college, which proves his intelligence. He further proved it in
his various business ventures, showing that he not only understood the economy, but made it
work for him. A master business turn-around artist.
John McCain’s primary claim to fame is that he was a POW….I actually LIKED McCain back in 2000 when he was running against W. But that was a TOTALLY different man.
Which means that no one KNOWS which man is really running.
If you WANT to vote for a Democrat, vote for Hillary….or John McCain !!

Just a follow up to my post about Romney and his marriage to Ann.

http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/gallery/ann_romney?pg=8

How many of you women out there would not want a rich powerful man to look at you like that. He obviously adores his wife. That speaks volumes to me about his character.

Mc Cain is too old, McCain is a has-been, McCain wants the USA to be in Iraq for another 100 years. MCCain plans to bomb Iran. McCain has bombed hospitals and children in raids over Hanoi. McCain is war criminal. McCain is worse than Bush. McCain got the kiss of death from Lieberman.

Comment by Anna

Tara, I don’t think Romney is worried about his money.

Romney DID NOT take a salary as MA governor and DONATED his salary when he was President of the Olympics. Most people don’t know that about him and that speaks volumes to me.

Just thought you might want to know… some friendly facts.

Comment by Janet V

Choking to death on our own carbon emissions and other pollutants will kill the economy, too, Mitt. Maybe even in YOUR lifetime. Stop pitting the environment against the economy. If we can’t find a way to make both concerns work together, we’re in big, big trouble.

Comment by J Anderson

I’m sure McCain is a good guy-but he is:
-too old.
-WAAAAAY too liberal.
-bad for the economy.
-bad for securing our borders.
-less qualified to turn our economy (and country) around than Mitt.

If I was only voting on McCain so that he could take charge of the war-then he would probably get my vote. Unfortunately he falls flat on his face when it comes to ALL of the other major issues. I think he would be a better Democratic candidate than Republican.

By the way-that real Mitt website contains stuff that is MOSTLY inaccurate, biased, and taken out of context. I bet a similar website (which would be 4Xs as long) could be made for all of the other candidates. Huckabees dog killing son, McCains infidelities and horrible conservative voting record, Giuliani using city funds to wine and dine his mistresses, etc. ad nauseum.

Comment by Tara

So Romney serves his wife and McCain serves his country! I vote McCain!!!

Comment by John Rowse

Romney will never get the illegal alien vote away from John McCain. McCain has the endorsement of
MALDEF, LaRaza, Mel Martinez, Joe Lieberman, Ted Kennedy, The New York Times and other leading illegal alien rights groups. McCain is the only Liberal Democrat running in the Florida Republican Primary whose military experience will help in negotiating the US surrender to the Mexican invaders.

Comment by Jason

Romney did lie in New Hampshire. He said that McCain supported amnesty, which is patently not true. Romney declared himself that such a plan was amnesty a couple of years ago. Now, since it is convenient for him, he says that it is amnesty.

And Dan, you sound like a racist making a point that McCain has a Mexican advisor and calling him “Juan McLame” because you (incorrectly) say that he supports amnesty. If you think the penalties illegals face should be greater, fine. But drop the racism and the rhettoric.

Comment by Brian

There’s nothing I could say that Dan didn’t say better, there’s no way I would vote for, or if elected support, a democrat, and as far as I’m concerned McCain is a democrat.

Of course McCain will say…I didn’t say that. That was Romney……

Comment by Melor

I don’t love McCain or Romney, but I really hate watching someone try to buy an election.

Besides, it’s probably in our best interest to preserve whatever integrity our country has left by actually electing a president with some.

I’m not likely to vote for either of these men, but at least I can tell you what McCain’s positions are, even the ones I don’t like. Romney moves so much I wish he wore a GPS-like device that could give me his position on the issues at any given moment.

For future reference, if you want your candidate to be viable in the general election, don’t use quotes from Ann Coulter or Rush Limbaugh to justify your choice. The world outside of the box in which you live doesn’t find either of their antics particularly impressive.

Comment by J Anderson

I don’t think it is racist to be in favor of more severe punishments for illegal immigrants. Stop trying to play that lame game here-nobody is going to buy it. I’m in favor for equally harsh punishments for white illegal immigrants as I am for Latin American ones. Your attempt to play the race card makes you sound ignorant and uneducated.

Comment by Shonni

Why do people think McCain is qualified to be president just because he’s a war hero? I agree he’s a war hero, but so are thousands of other men and women in this country and I don’t think they should be president. McCain is going to need something new to stand on if he wants to win this election. Romney has my vote!

Comment by Brian

Jason, I completely disagree with you, McCain is for amnesty, amnesty with a parking ticket is still amnesty.

I won’t vote for McCain, and yes I am a Veteran (former Marine).

Comment by J Anderson

if you don’t know Romney’s stance, then you either haven’t paid attention or have serious issues. He has been very clear on his stance from the beginning. Stop trying to troll for McCain by pretending to be neutral.

Comment by A. Burns

Rasmussen has Romney and McCain tied nationally (today) at 27%
Florida - Romney 33% and McCain 27%

McCain - Lying never helps a campaign. Especially when the lies are easily verified.

I’m not surprised though - McCain is the same guy that was part of a savings and loan scandal - did you “patriots” all forget? It’s called the KEATING FIVE.

I can’t believe you people would vote for McCain just because he’s been a POW. If he was a POW at Harvard studying economics, I might say he’s qualified to run our country, but McCain knows NOTHING about our economy.

Remember people, Senators simply vote for a living. McCain is simply not smart enough to be president. In fact, he graduated at the bottom 5% of his class.

I just sent in my absentee ballot for Romney, and I’m freaking proud of myself. I just voted for a better economy.

Prediction: Mitt Romney to win Florida on Tuesday.

Comment by Jason

I assure you I’m both informed and educated. I don’t think strict penalties are racist. I do think that the incorrect use of the term “amnesty” is rhetoric used to encourage an emotional response instead of a logical one. I also think that pointing out the fact that McCain has a Mexican advisor and implying that is somehow bad is racist.

I repeat: if you want penalties for illegals to be more strict, fine. But drop the racism and the rhetoric.

It’s like McCain has said, the people in this country are God’s children too. Throwing the book at them isn’t the most Christian response, even that is what the right-wing evangelicals and Romney supporters seem to support.

I’m voting for McCain. I’ve met the guy. He is honest & straightforward and you can tell he is a man of integrity - not someone who will just say anything to get elected. He has proven that many times. You might not like everything McCain says, but you can bet he’s telling the TRUTH.

I believe in McCain - he has SHOWN that he is not going to change his views according to the “polls”. He presents a strange dichotomy however, because he has all the knowledge & experience of being a Senator, but isn’t really an “insider” because he has fought to expose corruption & wasteful spending in Washington. And McCain has NEVER voted for a tax increase.

I’m not really impressed w/ Romney’s character - consider how he “stepped” on McCain’s concession speech after the Michigan primary. That was just bad manners and he knew exactly what he was doing. I don’t really trust Romney - and I’ve read quite a few comments elsewhere from Mass. voters who don’t like him either. Wonder why BOTH Boston Newspapers are endorsing McCain…

Comment by Chris D.

The ONLY real republican in this race is Ron Paul!

McCain is entirely too liberal and ready to finish handing over the keys to our country to the illegals only to finish serving the greed of companies not willing to hire legal citizens because of the cost - couple that with the errant lack of understanding of the economy and you’ve got a worthless candidate.

Romney is just your average slick politician. He tells you what you want to hear, has a mottled past and is not strong enough to stand up against Hillary in the general election.

Huckabee is crazy as an outhouse rat! Wanting to rewrite the constitution to reflect ‘God’s law’ seems a bit over the top. I’ve had about enough with the faux compassionate conservative hyper religious types (ala GW Bush) to last me the next 3 lifetimes.

Ron Paul wants to restore the constitution, get our money back on track (having actually written a book about economics, it’s not hard to see that he understands it in ways that all of the other candidates combined couldn’t muster) and believes in our country being the most powerful because of what we are able to do in an economic and emotional sense (ala - We are the greatest country on earth because of the people that comprise it) - not by imperialist domination and military action - that is NOT how you advance a country (read up on Ceasar, Khan, Napoleon, and Hitler if you think that advancing a civilization should be done through military force).

Comment by JanetP

I hope the good citizens of Florida will remember John McCain’s effort to give amnesty to twelve million illegal immigrants. He hasn’t changed his position one whit. His rhetoric about “I get it, we must buid the fence first” is USDA baloney. That statement is code for ‘we will still find a way to grant amnesty.’ Well, the Senator DOES NOT get it. The message American Citizens sent to Congress was that we will NEVER tolerate amnesty for the people who illegally entered our country and stole our resources along with our culture. Vote for anyone else, but please vote against McCain.

Comment by Cara

I feel we are priviliged to have a man like Romney even running for president. A man with his intelligence, experience and many talents, who is using his own money instead of money from special interest groups, is an ideal choice. I am so tired of all of the true puppets in Washington. I also think the media, which is liberal, wants McCain in because they are afraid of Romney. Romney is the only one who can beat a democrat, just watch the Florida debate and it is obvious. Almost every blog I read that is for McCain states his military experience(Didn’t he graduate in the bottom 5% of his class in the navel acadamy?) does being a pow really qualify one for the position of president. When you look at McCain’s voting record and history of dirty tricks and dishonesty, the cons outway the pros for McCain. When Romney atacks McCain he at least uses McCain’s record. I guess the problem for McCain is that Romney’s record is clean. If we want our country to continue being the great nation it is or even better, then Romney is our man!

Comment by barbara

I was looking hard at Romney until this past week. I live in Florida and his campaign has called my house 4 and 5 times a day including today, Sunday. At one point I decided to let the phone ring and it did for two or three minutes until I finally gave up and answered.. It’s harrassment and he lost any chance of ever getting my vote. I’d vote for Hillary before I’d vote for him.

Comment by Paul

McCain is what you see…the real deal…like me! I didn’t go to Harvard nor graduate at the top of my class! McCain’s not some slickster car-salesman, tell me what I want to hear to get elected. While I don’t agree with everything McCain says/does, at least I know where McCain’s at! I can trust McCain to buck the system (both parties), vote down wasteful spending (from both parties) that’s been out of control for the last 8 years!

Comment by Patrick

Never tried the water but if it’s a choice of Obama or Mc Cain I will for the first time in my life vote Democrat. If it’s a choice between Clinton or McCain I will stay independent and conservative and not vote for either of these Democrats. I am one of the ex-vietnam vets who applaud McCain’s service but it ends there. Most of the posters in talking about McCain listed truths, if you doubt it check his record. As for those who said he did not vote for amnesty, I admire your tunnel vision in supporting your man and pointing out that this is what wrong with the two party system and why so many people are becoming independents (self included). America is as great as ever but not when you don’t think outside the box (the party you vote).

RE Steele:

You met him so now you know he’s honest? how gullable are you? What did you expect him to do, drop his pants and show you his dirty laundry. Suddenly because you shook his hand all the evidence of scandal and blatant lies, and in some cases early signs of senility don’t matter any more. All that goes away because you met him?

What a joke.

Also, to all your Ron Paul supporters out there. give it up already. The guy is dead last in florida behind “prefer another candidate” We all agree he has some good ideas but he is not going to win even one state, much less the general so take your enthusiasm and put it where it will do some good.

Vote Mitt Romney He is our best hope.

Comment by Steve M

Barbara — know what you mean…been ignoring Romney’s calls until today when I decided to answer and ask some questions. All I got was a machine talking only about McCain!!! What’s up with that? Does Romney have any positions of his own (that he can stick to) or can he only attack the other 3 fine Republican candidates who happen to not have his deep pockets nor the backing of the elite hard-right media pundits certain to give the presidency to the Democrats?!!

Comment by Confused

A pandering, silver spoon demagouge like Romney does not represent America. The only America he represents is the America we all think we are a part of, but let’s face it some of us actually have to work for our money and know how to interact socially with others of our ilk. Voting for Mitt would be another horrible tragedy in this formerly great nation. If you have or are planning on having children do not vote for Romney. End of discussion.

Comment by Brian Litts

Mitt supporters/McCain Bashers:

I’ve been thinking that perhaps what the US needs is to get in touch with America when we were on the rise so many decades ago. Yeah, McCain is old, but why is that bad? He has so much more perspective on the evolution of the US than his younger competition, and I would be willing to bet that he understands the world strategic conflicts much better than Romney. As much as laypeople would like to think that the Iraq conflict has only been on the books for 2 decades, they fail to realize that these conflicts of idealogies goes back much farther than even the birth of America. Frankly, even this strategic stand-off with China is going to get messy if we continue to elect leaders whose primary goal is to “keep the economy going”. The Mitt Romneys of the US put business first, at any cost. It is time we live within our means, take back our currency (and therefore our sovereignty), and take the appropriate measures to stop this bullying of the US that is going on by the EU, Russia, China, India, Iran, and every other nation that deplores our habits, and yet continues to reap the rewards of a consuming America. Mitt would rather continue the status quo “2/3 of the economy is population spending” that has brought us to our knees than bring strength back to the military, and bring minds together to forge new NATIONAL goals, like going to Mars, Nuclear Fusion energy, green economies, and EDUCATION.

If I have to choose between a mysterious Mormon (umm… cult? why don’t you all look at where Mitt’s moneys have come from–since his BIRTH) that thinks he can fix the economy, and someone who will bring together minds for the economy, and stand up against other countries who think we have become weak, I choose the latter. I want someone who will inspire America to go back to our heyday of innovation and middle-class fortune, or a strong military complex, emboldened by challenging science programs/education programs. And I feel that McCain is a better candidate to do that. I just don’t trust Mormons as well… bad enough we have such a strong Catholic/born-again influence. The last thing we need is another crazy religion in the fray.

The world outside our “box” (in which you apparently live) is called liberals. Those of us who can make up our own minds about how we feel about issues (instead of being force fed by the liberal media) can see what McCain is. Namely, a Democrat running in the Republican primaries. How else can you explain his (McAmnesty) desire to be John Kerry’s VP?!?!

Romney is the greatest! Strong family values, honest, the energy of a lion, brilliant business man who understand the economy, would listen attentively to our generals about the middle east, russia, etc…

Let’s enter THE GOLDEN AGE OF ROMNEY!

I really like all the Romney supporters saying if not Romney then I vote Democrat or sit out. Guess I’m supposed to beg you not to or fall for your attempted blackmail and support Romney too? Please, if Romney, Republicans lose, if any other Republican is nominated, you and the Democrats lose. Guess you lose either way, plain and simple my friend!

Senator Jacob Howard, co-author of the citizenship clause of the 14th Amendment, stated in 1866, “Every Person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons.”

Senator Howard also said in May, 1868 that the “Constitution as now amended, forever withholds the right of citizenship in the case of accidental birth of a child belonging to foreign parents within the limits of the country.”

Amnesty will sink McCain

The above article was incorrect in stating that Romney and McCain are in a “dead heat” in Florida. The most recent Rasmussen poll that came out today shows Romney ahead by six points. There is no question that he has been surging over the last several days in Florida.

Melor — I happen to think your analysis was right on.

It is amazing that during the exact time (the primaries) in which the candidates should be pointing out differences in platforms on issues, people call it “attacks” or “negative”. Are supporters of certain candidates hoping that the public can be bamboozled by ignoring past voting records? Certain candidates have had a very big hand in supporting and sponsoring policies which ultimately reduce our freedoms and increase government dependency. These records should be pointed out! Those willing to point them out should be commended, especially if they offer valid alternatives to these positions. Wake up America! One thing is clear! There are 2 GOP impostors, McKane and Huckebee. Those arguing otherwise are impostors themselves and should move along with their donkeys to the party which traditionally holds the views these candidates generally align themselves with.

Well, it’s now obvious you can’t trust McAmnesty on this issue of the timetables. He’s pathetically desperate at this point and willing to try any shameless tactic out of the Clinton playbook.

We turn, then, to an independent 3rd Party. In this case it’s ironically the same newspaper that endorsed McAmnesty last week, The New York Times.

1-27-08 They wrote, “The charge appears to be misleading. The McCain campaign pointed to remarks Mr. Romney made last year in which he said he believed that President Bush and Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki of Iraq should have “a series of timetables and milestones” that they discussed among themselves but did not announce publicly. But Mr. Romney has not called for setting a date for withdrawal.”

McAmnesty is blatantly lying to voters to scare them into voting for him. If that’s the type of “leadership” you’re looking for I guess he’s your man.

McCain a “straight talker”?
That is laughable. He is a grumpy old “go-with-the-flow” Washington beaurocrat. His idea for change is raise taxes, given amnesty to 20 million illegals, and pander to special interest groups.

It just amazes me how some candidates, their supporters and newscasters are so unbelievably jealous of Mitt Romney’s money. And, yet, Mr. Romney is the epitome of the American Dream. He worked hard for an education, worked hard and found some luck in the consulting and capital business, and now donates his time to serve the American people without a salary.

I only wish I had done as well. McCain and Huckabee are both acting like immature spoiled children who are jealous because they lack such success. Not the kind of men I would vote for. Mr. Romney has earned my vote.

To Brian Litts

Since when does being old make you wise. I know a lot of old people and most of them are completly ignorant of the real problems we face.

Also, your slide in about Mormons being a cult, your an obvios bigot.

And you know what if being Mormon is responsible for:

Masters degree/Doctorate from Harvard
Happy faithful marriage of 38 years
Great family
Personal wealth somewhere between 250 - 350 million
creation of 150,000 US jobs
Ability to save the olympics
Be a conservative governor in the most liberal state in the union

Then all I can say is sign me up. Mitt is the most amazing person running for president and if you are going to pin that on his religeon then maybe we should all join.

The Golden Age of Romney is upon us! Vote Romney — someone who understands economics!

Comment by Jan Myers

By the way, if people play the next minute of the interview they’ll find Romney said as President he would veto any legislation that included a timetable for withdrawal.
