Romney to McCain: “He Should Apologize.”

Palm Beach, FL—

Senator McCain and Governor Romney were locked in an angry stream of back and forth attacks today. It started with McCain accusing Romney of setting a timetable for withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq. Romney responded forcefully asking his rival to apologize:

“I don’t know why he’s being dishonest. But that’s dishonest. To say that I have a specific date is simply wrong and is dishonest and he should apologize. That is not the case, I’ve never said that,” Romney added, “I know he’s trying desperately to change the topic from the economy and trying to get back to Iraq. But to say something that’s not accurate is simply wrong and he knows better.”

The McCain camp sent out a barrage of press releases to back up their attack. None of the quotes sent showed Romney calling for a specific date for troop withdrawal but did have Romney supporting a private timetable for progress on the war to be worked out by U.S. and Iraqi officials.

McCain responded to Romney’s call for an apology:

“I think the apology is owed to the young men and women who are serving this nation in uniform, that we will not let them down in hard times or good. There’s who the apology is owed to.”

McCain is trying to shift headlines from the economy, which benefits Romney, back to the war in Iraq. With the polls in a dead heat here, McCain is aiming to shift the conversation back to his strength, homeland security. He continued to push the war during his attacks on Romney today:

“If we surrender and wave a white flag, like Senator Clinton wants to do, and withdraw, as Governor Romney wanted to do, then there will be chaos, genocide, and the cost of American blood and treasure would be dramatically higher.”

The Romney camp also sent out several press releases this afternoon. One from press secretary, Kevin Madden said, “The senator from Arizona is using a tactic of misleading people about a fellow Republican in way that is cheap and desperate.”

McCain embedded producer, Malini Bawa contributed to this report.

I apologize Romney….I’m voting for John McCain!!! He’s a real American Hero who puts America above all other interests!!!!!

Comment by Stephanie

Time’s getting close for us all to get together around McCain…he’s our best candidate and he is the only one to make sure we don’t have to deal with Obama or Clinton(s) for the next 4 to 8 years. I think Huckabee and Rudy are great candidates too, but it’s time to get behind McCain!!

Comment by mic

Yeah John and John Mc both you you all should appolgize. Both John are loosers who will sacrifice the USA on the alter of political fundraising, corruption, lies and distorton. John McCain is the Bill Clinton of the Rebublican party.

Comment by DR

Oh my, can you imagine if John McCain were to win? He would really show how Conservative he is by annoucing Joe Lieberman as his VP. :( Florida be smart vote for Romney.

Comment by Lullaby

McCain is very old invalid…
Friend of Hillary Clinton, Ted Kenndy , John Kerry…
He is a democrat.

Comment by Winston Smith

May I suggest a duel to the death?

Comment by Terry

Seems mic might be a democrat worried that his candidate (Obama or Clinton) might not get the power they so desperately want!! John McCain will continue his great service to this Nation as the next President!!

Comment by Jordan

Well said Mitt. McCain need to learn to play fair.

Comment by Samantha

Seems Romney’s money is really being put to work to destroy McCain, Huckabee, and Rudy and really to benefit the Democrat Party.

Comment by DR

Is this how the nominees will end up?

Republicans

P- John McCaine
VP- Joe Lieberman

Democrats

P- Hillary Clinton
VP- Bill Clinton

America is smarter than that I hope.

Comment by Jennifer

I’m with Huckabee… I don’t think McCain has the strength to last a term. He must be worried about Romney or he wouldn’t be so mean. Play fair and apologize, Mc.

Hey - why didn’t McCain run on the Democrat ticket anyway? Puzzled about that one.

Comment by Nerdgirl

Shame on Senator McCain! For an American Hero this was below the belt! Even the more liberal media hasn’t found any proof to these allegations. This makes the senator seem desperate! Senator McCain needs to get back to discussing what matters most to all Americans if he expects to win the nomination of the party- namely the economy, healthcare and the war.

Comment by Richard

What a pathetic liar McCain is being. Grow up, and quit with the bitter, schoolyard tactics. It only makes you look worse in the eyes of the voters, McCain. VOTE ROMNEY!

Comment by Stilla Democrat

Shushannah Walshe non-objective reporting is very strange indeed.

She/he writes: “McCain is trying to shift headlines from the economy, ”

Why isn’t dialog on ALL the issues, not JUST the economy prudent?

Go back to one-dimensional reporting, I know it is easier on you.

How about a “matrix” to help voters, issues down the left, one per row, candidates across top, positions per cell???

Comment by DR

McCain can’t even remember saying that he knows nothing about the economy.

Comment by Jack

DR is Romney’s strategy to bash Lieberman like the Democrats did? Be a true patriot and put America above your money and other interests, come together with the rest of us and vote McCain!!!

Comment by David

McCain has no proof of Romney setting a date, and yet he says Romney has set a date? That is very dishonest. And what is Romney supposed to do. He has to set the record straight. I will be furious if McCain’s tactics work. Remember everyone, we are voting for who would be the best president. A liar who wants to be president very bad apparently?

Comment by texan

I have lost my respect for Sen. McCain over the last few weeks. I am a serviceman who served in the Iraq war and Sen. McCain does not represent my views. I was anxious to see him become the nominee for the party but not anymore. Being a POW was unfortunate and he deserves respect for that tremendous ordeal. But being a POW for 5 years makes him no more presidential material than me sitting my garage every saturday for 5 years makes me a Chevrolet! He is acting unbelievably immature with these statements and desperate tactics and yet will not take accountability for them. That is not whatwe want as a leader, someone that is unwilling to learn and admt mistakes. I hope we Americans will vote with our minds! We cannot expect change with the same basic ingredients. We need new materials and fresh ideas. Alas, we will get what we deserve. What happened to immigration? Taxes? Family values? If war alone is hSen. McCain’s platform (or strength), we are destined for more.

Comment by Texas

I would rather vote for Barack Obama than vote for McCain!

Comment by John Sain

McCain is a lowlife who will stoop to any level to garner more power. He’ll show one face to Dems and another to Republicans. Hopefully, voters in Florida and the rest of the country are doing research of this man - and not jumping on his bandwagon because the liberal media and other polititians are telling them to.

Obama has just built up an unbeatable momentum with his SC victory. This indicates very loudly how America wants CHANGE. Not the same old politics that Clinton and McCain would deliver.

CHANGE IS IN THE AIR! - ROMNEY FOR FLORIDA and AMERICA.

Comment by Sharon

I’ll be happy for once as a Republican if we can get someone with McCain’s service to his country to represent out Party!

Comment by pat banks

John McCain is giving us another glaring example of his desire to TWEAK THE TRUTH.
The commentators on a majority of the networks tonight are not buying it and telling us. (even CNN)
Another example: John McCain’s ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION platform has not changed since last year when it almost caused his campaign to collapse. He is TWEAKING THE TRUTH ON HIS ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION package. He lying low on the truth about his “de facto amnesty” for illegal aliens because he knows he would not get elected.
WHERE IS THE STRAIGHT TALK, JOHN?
ARE YOU RUNNING SCARED, JOHN?

Comment by David

represent out party?

Comment by Ken in S. Texas

We all need to quit thinking about the iraq war. It is going to be a non issue by November. That is why McCain keeps bringing it up. It is all he has to run on.

The economy is the biggest problem we have coming up. Our growth economy is running on 7 cyl out of eight. MCcain and Lieberman have introduced a bill in the senate for global warming MANDATES. Regardless if you believe in global warming or not the lowest estimate i have seen on the cost of these mandates is a trillion dollars. I will kill our growth industries and energy supplies. This could ruin our economy. Mitt is the best one to keep this from happening.

Think about your vote very carefully..

Comment by TO

I agree with the McCain supporters, I believe he’s the best candidate except my reasoning is that he’s fiscally conservative and willing to cut the outrageous spending that’s been going on by both parties.

Comment by A. Burns

John McCain learned everything he knows about the economy by being involved in a savings and loan scandal. Remember the Keating Five everyone? McCain is a dirty bribe-taker. Did you all forget? Some patriot.

Comment by David

TO

trust me, Mitt romney will do the same as John McCain with spending and then a lot more

Comment by Linda

So, A. Burns, did the S&L scandel stop you from voting for Bush, the brother of one of the biggest S&L criminals around? Probably not as it didn’t stop me! Let’s cut the attacks and all get together to beat what will be the really detrimental to the United States, the “wave the white flag” democrates.

Comment by Mrjimbo, TX

I guess no one really gets it here do they? McCain just STRAIGHT OUT LIED! Mitt Romney has NEVER wanted to set a date for withdrawl. WOW, thats 2 STRAIGHT LIES in a week.

nope, won’t EVER get a vote from me………….

Comment by Keith

Shame on McCain.
McCain can’t document what he’s saying and that’s just plain dirty. I hope everyone can see thru this dishonest attack.
Romney has integrity. McCain does not. Vote Romney!

Who needs Hillary or Obama in the White House when you have John McCain. Floridians and Americans DO NOT be fooled by the liberal press they want republicans to vote for McCain because either way they win.
Vote for Romney and do not give them the pleasure of having it their way.

Comment by Jan Myers

Sean Hannity on Fox News tonight showed the actual quote that McCain is misquoting. Romney said as President he would VETO any bill calling for a timetable for withdrawal.

I’m so disappointed in John McCain. I think it shows not only his desperation but his senility. Not presidential material when the best he has to offer was that he was a POW which, of course, was not even of his doing. The North Vietnamese actually did that!

We definitely need new blood in Washington. My vote goes to Romney first or Giuliani second…and definitely not to McCain.

Comment by Steve from Florida

Wow “John Sain”…now you’re attacking my Governor?? Just because he endorses John McCain? Enough of the attacks please!

Comment by John Sain

What’s McCain’s position on illegal aliens and amnesty. How can refer to yourself as someone concerned with our National security when anyone is welcome to cross our borders, regardless of who they are?

Comment by Symantha

Florida results just in….!!!!!!!!!!!!

McCain — First
Huckabee/Rudy — Second
Romney — Fourth

Comment by DenisL

I would think that all the top tier Republican candidates should apologize. The war issue IS the economic issue. They can NOT be separated. We need to cut somewhere and empire building is the first choice, especially since we are not even going after Osama bin Laden, the man who killed 3000 Americans! It is very painful to watch, particularly since Osama explicitly claims to have bankrupted the old Soviet Union and wants the same for us. He may get his wish if we do not get focused on what is truly important in our foreign policy. And cut the unneeded military bases over seas.

We each seem to have our own major issue(s) that make their choice for President seem like the best one. The economy is a big one for me. My question is: Would someone tell me why we should NOT elect Ron Paul?

The rest, with Richardson and Kucinich out, seem to be talking crazy talk (or did last week, who knows what the Democrats will say next week!) about our military adventures in the Middle East. Additionally, no one else seems to understand the problems with the economy, inflation, and out of control deficit spending. Inflation is going to eat us alive, as it has already started to do so. Do you really believe that the REAL inflation rate last year, the rate that was used by the government for Social Security check increases this month, was 2.3%? Just look at the price of gold up 30% in 2007, now at an all time high and getting higher!

One can not talk about tax cuts without ALSO talking about cutting spending. We have a $9 trillion debt (nearly double since 2000) that must be paid so we can afford Social Security and Medicare. The interest payments will go sky high when we begin to fight inflation with higher Federal Reserve bank rates.

And we must stop inflation or everyone’s life savings will go down the tubes, along with the middle class, like what has happened to the middle class in most countries south of our border. And do not forget Universal Health Care, which is coming down the tracks right at us, unless Republicans begin to understand the seriousness of runaway deficits and inflation. And start educating the country. A Democratic President will surely not fight inflation like Volcker and Reagan did!

Please vote Ron Paul and save the country from bankruptcy abroad and at home!

Comment by McCain just transgressed the honor code

Johnny, remember back in the day when you were a cadet at Annapolis? Remember that thing called the HONOR CODE? Remember that we swore that we would never “…LIE, CHEAT OR STEAL…” For most of us, this code continues to guide us throughout our lives. Unfortunately Johnny, you’ve lost touch with it.
Johnny, in the name of power, greed and arrogance you’ve sold your soul for a mess of pottage. You’ve obviously lost touch with the spirit of honor and integrity we learned at the Academy. This, among other things, sheds light on who you’ve become.

Comment by Jeff

I agree DenisL that “One can not talk about tax cuts without ALSO talking about cutting spending” and that’s why I’m voting for John McCain!

Comment by Dan

“John McCain is Bob Dole minus the charm, conservatism and youth. Like McCain, pollsters assured us that Dole was the most “electable” Republican. Unlike McCain, Dole didn’t lie all the time while claiming to engage in Straight Talk.” –Ann Coulter

“If nominated, John McCain will destroy the Republican Party.”- Rush Limbaugh

“Florida will be the beginning of the end of Juan McLame’s career of fighting for amnesty, teaming up with liberals against tax cuts, giving your social security away to illegals and being the single biggest backstabber to the conservative movement.”- Me

Let’s count McCain’s “conservative credentials”:

-he wrote the bill granting amnesty to illegal immigrants (co-sponsored by Ted Kennedy)
-he voted to give your social security money to illegal immigrants
-he voted against the Bush tax cuts multiple times (he has since flip-flopped and has campaigned as a lifelong tax-cutter)
-he routinely engages in Democratic class warfare against big companies in America
-as recently as December 2007 he admitted “he doesn’t know the economy very well” and needed to get better at it
-he wrote the McCain-Feingold campaign finance bill that was declared to be an unconstitutional infringement of the 1st Amendment (co-sponsored by ultra-liberal Democrat Russ Feingold)
-he was called the “worst 2nd amendment candidate” by the president of the NRA
-wrote a bill (co-sponsored by his buddy Lieberman) imposing a massive tax on energy which, according to the Heritage Foundation, would drastically raise the price of gasoline and put many US companies out of business
-supports radical global warming legislation which involved him voting with every Democrat
-he joined forces with Democrats (“Gang of 14”) to block the Senate Republican’s attempt to confirm conservative, strict constructionist judges
-he joined liberals to fight against a federal marriage amendment supporting the institution of traditional marriage
-campaigning in 2000, he famously described Christian leaders as “agents of intolerance”
-he filed an amicus brief against pro-life advocates in Wisconsin
-he met with leading Democrats in 2004 to discuss the possibility of being John Kerry’s Vice-President
-with most of these positions, unfortunately, McCain hasn’t flip-flopped and vows to fight for these liberal causes as president
-if I wanted to elect a Democrat, I’d vote for Hillary or Obama

Let’s now look at some of his endorsements:

-New York Times
-Geraldo Rivera
-Joe Lieberman
-Bill and Hillary Clinton
-nearly every member of the liberal media (most Newspapers have endorsed him for this very reason, phrasing his strength as an ability to “attract the support of liberals”)

If you’re a Republican, do not let the most liberal elements of the media tell you who to vote for and who is “electable”. Electability polls fluctuate wildly every week (+16 this very week in favor of Romney). A recent example: Bob Dole was considered far and away the “most electable” Republican because he was respected by Democrats and because of his military service.

Voters in Florida and around the country, if you’re a conservative, consider whether McCain’s career record of liberal positions and ineptitude is actually the best you can hope for. Consider if he’s the most electable candidate even if many prominent conservatives have vowed to “sit out” this election if he’s the nominee.

Spread the word to other conservatives before the liberals on TV and in the newspapers steal this election away from the conservative movement (lower taxes, stronger families, stronger military, no amnesty).

Comment by Steve from Florida

John Sain … I just thought that you might be a Republican and not want to attack Republicans, but guess not!!! John McCain will beat your democratic nominee when you pick one!!!

Comment by J. E. Richardson

John McCain is not Presidential Material. I have only one brother that I love very much, but I would send him to Gitmo and Waterboard him on the way if I thought he knew something that would keep a dirty bomb from blowing up an American City. I want a President that does what it takes to make America come out on top. John McCain being the big liberal that he is, wants to close Gitmo and has said he would ban the use of waterboarding. Does he really belive those things or does it just play well with the liberals? Who knows, I just cannot trust the man. Anyway, all that is one issue, the real war we have now is economic. If we loose our wealth and standing to China and other countries we will not have the clout to fight Islamic Terrorists. Mitt Romney is the right man for the job. America IS BUSINESS and MITT ROMNEY KNOWS BUSINESS AND is the MAN OF THE HOUR. VOTE FOR ROMNEY….AND SAVE OUR NATION. ROMNEY IS THE RAMBO OF THE CORPORATE WORLD, AND WE NEED HIM NOW.

Comment by Tori

Dan — follow Rush and Ann Coulter to your demise if you wish…me on the other hand would rather have John McCain than a democrat!!

This is how it will play out .. Obama will be the democratic candidate and Romney the Republican candidate.. and McCain will be so mad and bent on defeating Romney that he will run as Obama’s VP running mate… a demepublican ticket that cant lose… That is the democrats dream ticket…

McAmnesty is a toad. He’ll never apologize and Ophra’s endorsement of Obamma didn’t exactly carry New Hapshire for him either.. endorsements are over hyped. Everyone know McAmnesty is an empty suit. He doesn’t even apologize to his own constituents in arizona over immigration. He too arrogant and a loser from the onset. He’s taking sylvesters HGH for sure because he’s become really paranoid since the fla. debate. Everyone
knows he’s desperate to get off economics and is trying to get us to concentrate on the war. well, Im sorry but war just doesn’t pay the bills McAmnesty. youd be smart to learn some real economics.
Mitt for responsible economics and immigration

Comment by AMJ

McCain must be very desperate. It is just unbecoming of him to be so low. Mitt is for fiscal responsibility as well. I’m voting for Mitt.

Comment by Jake

I think Romney would be a good VP for McCain…Romney could cover the economics while McCain covers the National security!

Comment by Tom

McCain is dishonest. He misrepresents Romney’s statements and his record.

He hopes to distract the debate from the economy.

The Economist magazine stated that “Americans want executive competence ” and the Romney was “competence on steroids.”

America needs competence on steroids, not dishonesty on geritol.

Comment by Robert Hansen

Romney would never be McCains VP nor vise-versa. Romney is gentlmanly enough but McCain litterally hates his guts. I’m not really sure why except that either McCain is a bigot that hates Mormons (we all know his mother is) or he just hates him because he knows Romney can kick his but, and hey, the man hates to lose.

McCain is a liar and Romney is the man that will save this country.

Go Mitt!

Comment by Jake

“John Sain … I just thought that you might be a Republican and not want to attack Republicans, but guess not!!! John McCain will beat your democratic nominee when you pick one!!!”

I am an Independent for ROMNEY…..and if Romney doesn’t get the nomination, I’d like to see him run as an Independent,….the funding won’t be a problem. And as a result, McCAIN WILL NOT WIN.

A President McCain would be a more devastating blow to Traditional Republican and Conservative ideals than either Democrat.

RE: Jake

It’s pretty obvious that Huckabee is setting himself up to be McCains VP. They way he fawns all over McCain in the media and during the debates, either he wants to be his VP or they are secretly gay lovers.

The perfect ticket would be Romney/Rudy. Romney is, according to Jim Cramer of Mad Money fame ” The single best business men in America” and “the smartest man I have ever seen” Romney will handle the issues like the economy, Health Care, and SS in a way that McCain is not even capable of understanding much less executing. Rudy has more of the foreign policy/security experience and is also (acording to John McCain) an American Hero. They would be a phenominal ticket and would absolutely steam roll Billary.

I can say this, as a life long conservative, if it comes down to an Obaba vs McCain race in November I will vote for Obama. If it comes down to a Clinton vs McCain race, I will just stay home.

Romney is the best hope for America. Go Mitt!

Comment by Glade Hirschi

McCain should apologie, because what McCain said is a lie. He is supposed to be such a honorable person. stand up and be counted. If it was reverse he would be demanding the same. To me he is a hero but not fit to be President. He is to much like a Democrate..

McCain’s comments prove that he’s a low down and dirty politician. By attacking Romney, he’s obviously trying to draw attention to something else rather than his poor performance in Thursday’s debate on MSNBC. The man can hardly speak, he’s a mumbling idiot! Honestly, does he say anything inspiring when he opens his mouth? “Yeah, I was a war hero 40 years ago.” Who cares. I’m concerned with the future, not the PAST! He only wants to be president so he can be a puppet for all of his Washington “liberal friends”. His latest stunts also prove that he doesn’t have any integrity. Rush and Sean have it right when they question this guys’s political intentions. His liberal voting record as a senator is a big deal!!! People, look at the facts, a vote for McCain is a vote for the Dems!!!!! Please Florida, do what is right and vote for anybody but John McCain or Mike Huckabee!!!

Comment by Ruthie

Conservative Republican basers will NEVER vote for McCain. He has shown his real stripes the past weeks….a perpetual liar and an angry old man. I will be voting for Mitt Romney all the way. And by the way, McCain has desecrated his POW image now. Florida will ultimately vote for the candidate who represents our family values, our economic interests, and our strong military goals. Two-timing McCain hasn’t a leg to stand on.

Comment by Tom

With all due respect, McCain does not put America ahead of politics.

He shamelessly uses our troops to bolster his political objectives. He drapes himself in the flag the same way the Huckabee drapes himself in religion.

McCain feigned anger when Romney called McCain’s immigration bill “amnesty.” Yet even McCain used the word “amnesty” to describe his unpopular bill.

McCain misrepresented his own words in the most recent debate when he was confronted with his quotes about his lack of knowledge of economics.

Now he shamelessly misrepresents Romney’s position. Clearly McCain puts his political objectives ahead of integrity.

That is no qualification for the most important executive position in the world.

Hey DR, it sounds like you need to educate yourself about the rules of who can be selected for the vice presidency. It certainly cannot be Bill Clinton if Hillary wins since they are both from New York. The president and vice president cannot be from the same state.

Comment by Darlene Wagner

– Republican presidential candidate John McCain has taken a pro-life position on abortion, but his views on embryonic stem cell research are a cause for concern among many pro-life advocates. The Arizona senator defended his position in support of the destructive research at a Florida campaign stop. McCain said he continues to support forcing taxpayers to fund the research, which involves the destruction of human life and has never helped patients, but called his support for it “a very agonizing and tough decision.” “All I can say to you is that I went back and forth, back and forth on it and I came in on one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever had, in favor of that research,” he said. “And one reason being very frankly is those embryos will be either discarded or kept in permanent frozen status,” he explained. “I understand how divisive this is among the pro-life community,” McCain added. He also said he hopes that the science will advance to the point that embryonic stem cell research is unnecessary.
If John Mc Cain becomes president he will do much damage to the pro life movement and the republican party. We many not have a party or movement when he is done.
I beleive that Mitt Romney said he was wrong and changed . Do you think John Mc Cain will ever say he is wrong and change? Mitt Romney from this pro lifers point of view is more trustworthy!

Comment by M.PASCA

You have heard the saying, birds of a feather, flock toether.

Well McCaine has the two Fla. Senators in his pocket, each being pro amesty for the invading illegals.
Nelson. Martinez, . Their vote record proves this.

And one can reason that a presidental candidate maybe would want to distance himself from any politician advocating Amnesty.

To buy the latin vote, what is for sale ?

But, no, so can one really think that McCaine has changed his mind.

THis person, does not.

Comment by Cephas

I can’t believe the idiots on this blog who are actually supporting John McCain. I was on active duty when McCain was supporting the draw down. Trust me he supported American military and servicemen and women alright. He helped to GUT the US Military down to the point we could hardly sustain Iraq much less Afghanistan too. He directly, along with Graham/Rudman and the BRAC unnecessarily risked the lives of every service member who stepped into a combat zone. With a couple of exceptions, the only Generals that support him were appointed by Democrat Presidents (like Bill). Just think what that means.

He isn’t pro-military, his advanced age and his time as a POW have softened him not hardened him. He’ll hesitate when he thinks he’s in control because he’ll worry too much about what will happen, then when he is backed into a corner he’ll lash out uncontrollably and really screw things up. I can’t believe you guys can’t see this!

Where have you all been for the last 20 years? McCain is a DEMOCRAT. He even opened a dialog with the DNC about switching over some years back. The then Chairman of the DNC confirms this. He has been the bane of the Republican Party for as long as I can remember.

McCain is a sniveling old man who goes off the deep end when he doesn’t get his way. He isn’t fit to be the leader of the free world.

Romney does well saying Washington is broke, but I haven’t heard a single controversial issue that he’s will to tackle with specifics. I already know John McCain has the guts to cut spending. Vote John McCain!!! That’s why many on here don’t like him…he’s willing to cut their pork-barrel spending that’s sending this nation into further and further debt.

Thanks for the word of affirmation, Tim!

Great minds must think alike because I was going to tell you that I appreciated your 10:41 p.m. entry.

Although my first choice is Huckabee, I would gladly vote for McCain, as, like you, his heroic service to our nation 40 years ago is something I also respect and it does matter to me.

McCain is lying, pure and simple!!

Every analyst that has weighed in on this issue agrees that McCain is distorting the words of Mitt Romney. That, “my dear friends” is a lie, and I am very dissapointed that the Governor of Florida would come out and endorse John McCain on a day when he is being very dishonest with the people of Florida.

America deserves better than that!!!!

JUST SAY NO TO MCCAIN!!!

VOTE FOR A TRUE LEADER, WHO KNOWS ECONOMICS LIKE THE BACK OF HIS HAND AND HAS LEAD AND MADE TRUE POSITIVE CHANGES IN MANY DIFFICULT SITUATIONS!!

ROMNEY IS THE MAN THAT CAN!!!

McCain is certainly grabbing at straws here. He was happy to be up against Huckabee, but not against Romney who is gaining steam across the country as people come to know him better. We didn’t know who to vote for until 2 days before our primary and then went for Romney - one reason….check out http://www.judicialwatch.com and look up Huckabee. He is listed (along w/ Clinton, Giuliani, and of course, Obama, as one of the 10 MOST CORRUPT POLITICIANS for 2007. There’s some interesting information on his offering reduced in-state tuition to the children of illegals. Now THAT would make him comfortable to be a running mate w/ McCain seeing that McCain tried to push that huge amnesty deal through Congress without the American public knowing about it. I respect his service for our country, but he is really lacking in other areas: his support of amnesty, McCain - Feingold (denying our freedom of speech) and his support for homosexual marriage.
