I have followed many debates through out the years but this was by far the most shameful one. Like many other bloggers, Anderson Cooper and the CNN staff gave no air time Huckabee and Ron Paul. Cooper and the other anchors were so focused on who was more conservative, Romney or McCain. Americans don’t/shouldn’t care about who is more conservative… they should care about who will help America the most. Americans should care about whom will make the American People believe in themselves and the nation. Cooper allowed McCain and Romney to fight it out like CHILDREN. If McCain and Romney (two Republicans with many of the same ideas) fight like children, why do we think that THEY can unite Washington, where there will be democrats, too.
The anchors following the debate were so captured by the children fighting that I think they forgot to listen to the debate/issues. Huckabee had some great points, and out debated McCain and Romney when given the SMALL about of time to do so. In my opinion, CNN should issue an apology to Paul and Huckabee.

RON PAUL!!!!! He was by far the winner of the debate. Although, he got absolutely NO AIR TIME! See that American Censorship at work here. Not letting him speak as much as those other clowns. They were joking and laughing, while Dr. Ron Paul stayed focused and presented his ideas and views. He didn't need to make jokes, He has got the RIGHT Idea, and we need him as a president. I believe that he will change this country for the Better. I hope that the Nation wakes up and gives Dr. Paul and chance. RON PAUL 08!!!!

Ron Paul is the only true Republican running. If he was given 23 minutes like Romney instead of 6, most of you would be singing a different tune, and if his opinions are too radical for the Republican party to except then the party should easily be able to intellectually end his campaign, rather than shut him out. When most Americans are against Iraq, Ron Paul has the only chance of taking the White House. I am not leaving the Republican Party, the Republican Party is leaving me.

Ron Paul has 30 years on experience in Congress, that earned him the name "Dr. NO" (that says it all for me, my kind of politician, one that plays for the people NOT for the corporations. Why do you think ALL major Media has tried so in vain to SHUT HIM OUT! ...

I'll take that over corporate greed Mitt Romney, War monger Fantasy man McAmnesty, and that silly mayor who's ethics (ask the 2ed wife, was he married when she started with him) leave a LOT to be desired.

I will mention the Religious fanatic for giggles...Huckbilly and the bible thuppers!

All who support Romney and believe he is truthful and doesn't flip flop on issues should look at U-tube showing debates he has participated in the past and watch for yourself his statements right out of his mouth. Also if you believe he practices what he preaches as to his religion you should also listen to the u-tube of him when he was being interviewed by one of the radio stations and his comments when off the air. I suspect he probably was not aware he was being filmed. It will open your eyes to the real Romney. I was really shocked as it is so different than he presents himself to be.

Clinton made the comment that they were 'good friends' with McCain?? Also, if McCain were nominated the Presidential debates would be 'civil' ???? lol

Good strategy Bill...
Bill and Hillary both know that if McCain is nominated they will win hands down.

On the other hand they should be worried about Mitt Romney with his high standards, intelligence and experience ... they would have their hands full. Romney is ready for it.. bring it!!!

Conservatives... save our Republican Party!!!! Revive our economy!!!

We the People want Mitt Romney!!!!

How does the plan affect economic growth?

With the penalty for working harder and producing more removed, Americans are free to keep every dollar they earn, and a new era of economic growth and job creation is unleashed. Hidden taxes are history, Americans are able to save more, and businesses invest more. Capital formation, the real source of job creation and innovation, is facilitated. Gross domestic product (GDP) increases by an estimated 10.5 percent in the first year alone. The FairTax as proposed raises the economy’s capital stock by 42 percent, its labor supply by 4 percent, its output by 12 percent, and its real wage rate by 8 percent.

As U.S. companies and individuals repatriate, on a tax-free basis, income generated overseas, huge amounts of new capital flood into the United States. With such a huge capital supply, real interest rates remain low. Additionally, other international investors will seek to invest here to avoid taxes on income in their own countries, thereby further spurring the growth of our own economy.
