Romney: Who Let the Dogs Out?
Jacksonville, FL
Governor Romney paid tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr. when speaking to a group of employees at Gate Petroleum today and then shook hands and posed for photos with African-American families at a parade.
The presidential hopeful met a friendly crowd at the Martin Luther King, Jr. parade here. The former Massachusetts governor often runs back and forth across streets during parades to greet people and today was no exception. He shook hands with ROTC members, tiny beauty queens, police officers and many parade-goers, including children screaming his name. He jumped off the Mitt Mobile to greet a waiting crowd, took a picture with some kids and young adults and awkwardly quipped, ”Who let the dogs out? Who who.”
He took pictures with many in the crowd and greeted one baby wearing a necklace saying, “Hey buddy! How’s it going? What’s happening? You got some bling bling here!”
Romney even received some hugs, but some Obama supporters held up signs and one woman yelled, “Mitt Romney go home. You are holding up the parade!” Once the parade did start Romney hopped back on the Mitt Mobile and headed to his next stop.
He began his remarks at a petroleum company honoring the legacy of the civil rights leader saying he “fulfilled the promise of the Declaration of Independence.”
“Obviously the Declaration indicated that we are all individuals created by the same maker, we’re sons and daughters of God and we’re given equal opportunity,” Romney continued, “And that was not fulfilled in this country for a long, long time. And in some places today, it is still yet to be fulfilled. And Martin Luther King is an individual who opened the doors to bringing down so many of the barriers that had kept so many people from having their full potential realized, and showed again what one person can do. It’s amazing the impact of an individual.”
Romney segued directly into his stump speech:
“So I wish to begin by paying my respects to his great memory and accomplishment. My areas of accomplishment are not like his, not on that level, and yet I took a very different course in my life than most people who are in office. My life was like your mayor’s: I spent my life in the private sector.”
Romney is campaigning down the entire Florida peninsula today—starting in Jacksonville and ending in Boca Raton.

Mitt Romney’s successful business experience, successful Olympic experience, and successful state governing experience
set him above all other candidates. His vision of using economic strength to combat terrorist and his Apollo plan for energy independence are also set him above all other candidates.
He is a real leader who can lead American to build a strong economic and therefore a strong nation!
Hope American people will elect Mitt Romney, the only competent candidate, to be our president.
Love the “bling bling” and didn’t realize Romney was up to date with the new lingo! My vote is Romney 08 & 12!
I’m voting for the Stormin’ Mormon. Go Mitt!
It doesn´t happen very often that I´m overly impressed with an American Presidential-candidate, but Mitt Romney has defintetely earned my respect.
Romney sure has accomplished many great things but the thing that, I think stands out about him,
is his incredible capacity to work hard, and I mean HARD. This man just never seems to tire.
Romney = Results. McCain seems to be very weak at putting principles into practice. Campaign finance reform? Good idea but….McCain Feingold… BAD result. Controlling illegal immigration? Good idea but McCain Kennedy….BAD proposal.
As a nation we are yearning for competence from our government. If you want someone who will take on tough problems with good intension, but make them worse…then McCain is your man. If you want someone who will take on tough problems and insist on bottom line results, then Romney is your man.

It looks like Mitt was really enjoying himself at the parade. I consider it an honor for me to have the opportunity to vote for a man like Mitt. On another note, it was John McCain’s team that started the Romney is a flip-flopper lie. Check out who the real flip-flopper is: http://therealmccain.com/
Very excited about a Republican candidate!!! First time for me in my short voting career. Romney 08′
I wached the CNN returns on Saturday and could not help but note how utterly SILENT they were about Romney’s big win in Nevada. Instead they went on and on for HOURS about McCain in SC.
When the liberal media props up a candidate of a party they loathe, one can be pretty assured they have no honorable intent. First they propped Huckabee, but he’s been fizzling on them. So, now Mccain. And they will not report that Romney has almost twice as many delegates and the majority of the ppular vote.
If past perforamnce is the best predictor of future performance, I think I would conclude that the liberal media considers Romney the biggest threat to their Golden Child….
Eric:
I saw the CNN returns as well. They were making this inane suggestion that the Republican candidate HAD to win SC — on the premise that every president since 1980 has won SC - as if correlation equated to causation…. (!) It was just a good lesson on why you can’t put much credence on the utterings of the analysts. They couldn’t pass Logic 101.
I agree with Eric - The front runner is the one with the most delegates and no one seems to be looking at this result. Mitt knew SC was not going to help so why waste your cash when you need it for FL? Even if polls show Romney is ahead in FL you’ll be hearing more about McCain then anything else.
There is no doubt tht John McCain is an American Hero but I believe Mitt would be a better, brighter leader for our country.
The funny thing is, mitt has most delegates(majority of the race) and huck and Mcain gets most of the spotlight! I smell a rat.
THe funny thing about the South Carolina win rule is that while 1980 may seem to be long ago, this “rule” has only applied to a few individuals. There had only been 7 primaries from 1980 leading up to this one and there was a Bush on the ballot in 5 of them. How can this be a “rule” when you’re not talking about a diverse group of people.
Another important point is the fluidy of the 2008 race. NO SINGLE state matters this year. Romney won a state the same day and before super tuesday there is still Lousiana and Hawaii.
This race gets more interesting everyday. Now with Rudy joining the ranks of the campaining class it’s sure to get more heated. However, I don’t think Rudy has a cue-ball’s chance in hell and here is why: http://politiporn.com/2008/01/21/first-the-bald-truth/
Mitt Romney is the only one running who really understands economics. Most of the others are just big windbags. McCain has admitted that economics is not his strength. For that he refers to Greenspan’s book. Guiliani is finished. People are tired of hearing 9/11. They want an optimistic president. Huckabee’s one liners are funny but they will not fix the economy. Fred Thompson means well but doesn’t seem to have the organizational skills of Romney. Running the country is hard work.
Mitt has shown over and over during this campaign how organized he is and how consistent he is. He is definitely the most optimistic which is something we need for a President. A president is elected by the people and should represent the people’s view, not necessarily his own. Mitt has shown that he is willing to listen to his constituents and will serve their best interests.
[...] it gets worse. He took pictures with many in the crowd and greeted one baby wearing a necklace saying, “Hey [...]
Mitt is clearly the best candidate to lead our nation during this uneasy time. His experience, intellect, and work ethic point to someone who can and will be successful as president. Mitt has my vote!
The last thing we need is another religious bigot. Romney is riding this wave saying that he improved the economy in Mass. … the numbers CLEARLY say something different. Practice whatever religion you please, but we have a separation of church and state for a reason. Anyone who believes in the fairy tale of creationism is not bright enough to run our country.
I’m shocked at the enthusiasm for Mitt — a transparently phony, business-as-usual candidate who spouts slogans and shows no capability for serious thought. Can he name a single, solitary thing in our $2.2 trillion budget he would cut? Even one thing?
Absolutely nothing will change under Mitt. He’s another one of these phony conservatives who will spend us into oblivion, and whose understanding of international affairs could fit inside a thimble. That conservatives actually support this man is all the proof you need that conservatism is dead. Conservatives don’t even know what conservatism is anymore.
Mitt sucks.

I think Christopher George hit the nail on the head “Romney = Results. McCain seems to be very weak at putting principles into practice. Campaign finance reform? Good idea but….McCain Feingold… BAD result. Controlling illegal immigration? Good idea but McCain Kennedy….BAD proposal.

McCain is a veteran and for that I sincerely say Thank You, but the fact remains that he’s simply not qualified to be the President. He’s never managed so much as a corner store. He’s never been an executive of anything. He’s never governed so much as a city. In 24 years in the Senate he can only point to a handful of bills–most of which flew in the face of Republican values. He’s no conservative and he’s no leader.
In his own words - McAmnesty highlights one of the key reasons why he’s not qualified to be the President of the largest employer in this country and head of the largest economy in the world.
“The issue of economics is not something I’ve understood as well as I should,’ McCain said. ‘I’ve got Greenspan’s book.’” (Sasha Issenberg, “McCain: It’s About The Economy,” The Boston Globe, http://www.boston.com/, Posted 12/18/07) Sen. McCain: “I Still Need To Be Educated.”
Go Mitt!!!
This video is too funny to be real. Has to be a SNL parody of a stiff, white, republican, presidential candidate, terrified to be amidst actual black people.
“Umm, umm..Who let the dogs out?…Um..Basketball..Uh..Bling, bling.”
Are you kidding me???? Are people honestly this bad at judging whether or not someone is genuine?
Why does Carl Cameron refuse to acknowledge Mitt Romney’s campaign is building steam in FL. Mitt is in first in the only poll conducted after SC and NV. Mitt is leading in the popular vote and in delegates.
This is the kind of stuff that happens to pandering politicians who so desperately want to get elected. Ron Paul would never do anything so stupid.
So do you.
I’m surprised Romney only had a handful of hecklers in the crowd. After lying about “seeing his dad march with Dr. King” and his complete unwillingness to criticize the Mormon church for not allowing blacks to be priests in the church until around 1980, you would think African Americans would all be against Romney.
I watched Romney’s interview with Tim Russert when Russert asked him point blank if he thought the Mormon Church should have allowed blacks into the priesthood within the church much earlier…here is the transcript:
Moderator Tim Russert asked if “it was wrong for your faith to exclude them for as long as it did.”
Romney: “I told you exactly where I stand,” Romney said. “My view is that there’s no discrimination in the eyes of God. And I could not have been more pleased than to see the change that occurred.”
Romney refuses to criticize the Mormon church’s racism?? Are you kidding me? And people don’t believe the Mormon church controls Mitt? Contrast this with Governor Huckabee who received a letter from a 14 year old African American boy when he was pastor of a church in Arkansas (I believe in the 1960’s) asking to attend but fearful because his church was all white. Huckabee withstood criticism and told this boy that definitely he could and should attend. As you can imagine, in the South, Huckabee was under fire for this. This is the mark of a true leader.
Huckabee is a man of character and principle who governs according to his conviction, not political polls like Romney. Romney is such a dishonorable man. If, God Forbid, he is the GOP nominee, I will abstain from voting. I cannot in good conscience cast a vote for someone who is so deceitful.
“Mitt Romney is the only one running who really understands economics.”
Yeah, maybe tax-borrow-and-spend Keynesian economics, that was tossed on the trashpile of history by economists 20 years ago. But most politicians, including Romney, still believe in it. Just another big-government “conservative”, with no real convictions.
Among the candidates, only Ron Paul knows how money and economics works, and has been writing about it for the last 30 years. If you don’t elect him, get ready for another Depression like Hoover and FDR foisted on us with their constant meddling in the economy. Get ready for a dollar inflated into oblivion.
Same-old, same-old does not work any more. We’ve spent ourselves into a real pickle. Time to change course. Small government, no more empire, bring the troops home!
Romney is a machine politician. Cofer Black is pulling his strings, and I bet it’s Blackwater, not Mr. Romney’s personal finances, that are truly funding his campaign. The guy doesn’t have a consistent record on any issue, and when you supporters talk about what a great businessman he is, you might want to look into some of the suspicious deals he has brokered, namely the one that sold 3M to a Chinese company with a history of spying on us.
Wake the F up, people.
Romney’s a real gangsta yo! ha ha ha. Truly an embarrassment. If you are thinking of voting for Romney, please watch the video again. What a joke and a disgrace. I’d like to see him talk like that during the next debate. If he is willing to talk like that on the streets of a predominantly black crowd at the MLK parade, why should he hide that side of himself when he is speaking to the American public. Since the race card is constantly being thrown these days, I can’t wait for Sharpton to see this.
Mitt is little more than a self-absorbed buffoon in a suit. Like the rest of the establishment candidates in both Parties, he can do little or is willing to do little to actually make the drastic changes needed in this country, but like the others he is good at putting on a show and making empty promises he can never keep.
The entrenchment political ticks will continue to suck the life out of this country and the American People simply continue to cast their votes for such parasites…will we ever wake up?
[...] Read the article and see the video (it’s worth going to Fox News for) [...]
In reply to Eric…. The reason CNN did not focus as much on the Nevada race is that in the past it has not been as significant a race as the South Carolina race in predicting who the nominee would be. Why Fox News focused on it so highly is blatantly obvious to most viewers who have been watching them cover the campaigns. You might not notice this if you are a Romney supporter, as you are enjoying the coverage, but if you support any of the other Republican candidates it is very noticeable. South Carolina’s primary received only small coverage compared to the less significant race of Nevada on Fox. Fox is going to lose many of its viewers if they continue to be so bias to Romney in this campaign. In my humble opinion, Chris Wallace seems to be the only newscaster on Fox who does not seem to favor any one candidate. Although I am not a supporter of Fred Thompson for President I admire the way he stood up to Hannity when asked by him if he was going to go after McCain in the South Carolina race since he was ahead of him in the polls. Hannity must have been stategically trying to get Fred to attack McCain so that Romney would have a better chance in South Carolina. But Fred’s reply to Hannity was that no one was going to tell him who to go after. He said that the last time I looked at the polls Huckabee was leading ( this was before the SC race). Then he replied he was going after “all” the other candidates on issues he differed . Fred then started to voice his differences with Romney. Hannity stuttered and choked.
Do you think that Romney, Clinton, McCain, Huckabee, Obama or that other guy from New York give a hang about the people of this country? They will simply continue with the same ole policies and pass if all off as something new with a twist or two, but nothing will change with these guys. They represent the same obsolete fecklessness we see everday on the sterilized news that is used to sway us toward their politically acceptable darlings.
Do you really think that they have an idea about what our fiat monetary system is actually doing to the working men and women of this country?
Dr. Paul is the only candidate that even brings up the issue of our failing monetary system.
Consider this: a person making $32,000 per year today has the equivalent purchasing power of $5,907.40 1970 dollars. So, the same person making $15.38 per hour today is equal to making $2.84 per hour in real purchasing power in 1970 dollars. It is not the price of goods and services that have risen so much, but the purchasing power of our dollar that has been so drastically reduced. Our standard of living has been effectively reduced through fiat money inflation.
Is there any wonder that poverty is becoming rampant? The government has no other choice but enforce minimum wages in order to keep the working poor at some level of subsistence. At the current $5.85 per hour a person has the same 1970 purchasing power of $1.08 per hour, at 40 hours per week that person is effectively making $43.20 per week to make ends meet.
What are we waiting on, to become serfs of the State?
VOTE RON PAUL….IF WE DON’T ELECT HIM IN 2008 WE WILL ALL WISH WE HAD BY 2012!
What a dick! Ron Paul ‘08!!!!!!
I am still unsure of how i will vote. I have always voted Republican. But it sure isnt looking good. I think if Romney wins the nomination, I will be forced to vote for a democrat for the first time in my life. If Hillary is the choice, I probably wont vote at all.
I am just sort of bewildered at how people dont see right through romney. He lies over and over . (While always smiling , of course. ) He thinks he can buy his way into the white house. He has no moral position on anything, only saying his views are whatever will get him elected at the time. He takes huge gobs of money from special interest(even though he’s already a millionaire) He has at least 5 major lobbyist involved in his campaign(although he says they are not RUNNING it,Beth is) He at one time fought Ted Kennedy over who was the most liberal.
The jerk even put his poor dog on top of his car for a 14 hour trip, because the car was crowded(see his interview on youtube) This guy is an insesitive jerk who makes decisions in a businesslike-efficient manner that are most convenient to him— regardless of who it may hurt. He is such a fake, platic haired, gameshow host/used car salesman. I am just dumbfounded that anyone would see him as genuine. He is such a poor actor. I dont want the rest of the U.S turned into Massachussets. I cannot vote for this man.
It amazes me that America hates Bush and wants change. Yet they are ready to vote for someone exactly like Bush.Look at Romney or Mccain. I really think if George Washington or Jefferson ran for president in 2008, people would be too stupid to vote for them. They couldnt even get elected. They wouldnt have enought mud slinging ,one liners. They wouldnt have enough hairspray in their hair to get Americans votes. Wake up America. We are in real trouble.
Gosh Mitt, No references to Watermelon or fried chicken???
I couldn’t tell, did Lil’ Mitt have a pimp cane and a chalice for his krunk juice?
Is anyone else a little creeped out by the scripted pro-Romney comments. I have it on good authority that Hugh Hewitt wrote the scripts for the Romney-bots who comment on youtube, myspace, facebook, and blogs. The Romney-bots are working out of a data center in Guadalajara and get paid 10 cents per sunny sentence. The sell-out of America continues.
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised by American’s lack of common sense, I’ve seen this over and over for years. “More of the same” Mittens or “I’ll have another please” Romney, I like either nickname for him.
Jefferson was right, “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free … it expects what never was and never will be.”
Interesting quotes by Mitt considering that it wasn’t that long ago that the Mormon faith excluded all black people. Guess he’s finally come around . . .
hmm, what message>>? — http://www.freeatlast.com
Hey Melissa, is that ‘man of character and principle’ the same Huckabee that lied, more than once, about having a degree in theology, but does not? I believe it is the same man that feels Gitmo- the torture chamber- should be expanded. Yep, a man of Jesus he is. btw, it is interesting that these evangelical types think that Jesus was a conservative. Did he not hang out with the sick and poor, the destitute, the children, the elderly, and throw the moneychangers out of the temple?
Do you really think he would hang out with a Huckabee or a Romney, a Guiliani, or, worse, a McCain- all war-mongers? A Pat Robertson, or a Jerry Falwell, or a Hagee?
I just about spit my drink out laughing when someone claimed that Mitt Romney has the largest understanding of economics of any of the Republican contenders. This person clearly is not familiar with Dr. Paul. This person has also clearly not watched Ron Paul in debates laying the other candidates to shame on economic policy.
You people have let yourself get conditioned by the media to think of politics as if it were a form of entertainment, something scripted and to have fun watching. Well, while Romney is one heluva looney toon script, our right to vote does matter and does directly impact the American lifestyle. How you can throw a vote away for a man that has no clear stance on any issue, claims to be from the “private sector” when he’s really from Wall Street and has costs thousands of families their jobs by buying up companies cheap, laying people off, and then selling them for a profit…come on now. And then to insult Black Americans like he did? Bling Bling? Who let the dogs out? Ya, Romney is sure up on the times, goofy terms from 8 years ago. He’s whiter than a sock, and about as an honest as a snake.
Go to http://www.ronpaul2008.com and read up on Ron Paul and LOOK at his consistent record over 30 years. Not one tax raise vote, not one vote that wasn’t in accordance with the Constitution of the United States of America. Our economy is crumbling, the war is destroying us, and Romney wants to continue the war (in effect, continue to destroy us) and perhaps expand it to Iran. Ron Paul wants immediate withdrawal and abolition of the IRS and unnecessary government departments. Is this really even possible to argue about? Common sense…
It IS true. You can buy the presidency with a haircut and cashola. DO enjoy your Neocon driven real estate collapse, and stock market collapse, and monetary system collapse. I just hope you morons don’t get us all killed.
Mitt is a pandering fool. What a clown! How can any normal intelligent person support this idiot?
Hey, howya doin bro? hey check out da bling. Gimme five. Yo.
This is a classic sign of utter condescension. Speak to suit the audience and then return to your narrowmindedness later. I’m surprised he was surprised some folk actually can afford some bling after what his ilk have done. Talking of bling:- http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=3436
OMG! I seriously just vomited reading this article and all these ‘RAH! RAH! Romney!’ posts. Get a life people and do a little reading into your candidates political past/record. NEOCONS!
OMG i cannot agree more with Mike about this being an old white fart who afraid to be around actual black people. I got so embarassed for this man I couldn’t even finish watching this clip, (but I did anyway cause it was too hilarious). It’s hard to believe people like this can even capture the attention of the Republican party. I’m going to vote for Hillary cause at least with her, we know where she stands.
Mitt looks EXACTLY like a fish out of water.
yes Wow just Wow! I agree! There is never any REAL SUBSTANCE to the praise…. no specifics, no information on exactly WHY Romney will make a good leader….. just lots of flowery words, backed by absolutely NOTHING! Our economy is tanking big time, and the dollar is plunging fast….. yet Mitt Romney does not come out with a detailed plan of action, explaining WHY we are in this situation, and what, exactly, he will do to save the American economy!
TO MITT: What are all these pandering photo shoots, anyway? Why don’t you just tell us how you will help our economy, how you will make drastic changes to prevent us from turning into nothing more than a 3rd world country! With the dollar collapsing & our economy in a major downturn, heading for possible collapse, why not just tell us, Mitt, how you will make MAJOR changes, to help stop the dollar from losing value! I for one don’t look forward to the day when a bottle of shampoo will cost 500 dollars, an apple costs 100 dollars, a tank of gas 1000 dollars or more. What, specifically, will YOU do, Mitt? Explain to us how this whole money system works, and WHY it is failing…… then, explain to us EXACTLY what you will do to fix it!!
@Savanna- 5.10pm. Here, here. That goes for the rest of ‘em too. Let’s hear what they are to propose and we’ill see if they they have a better plan than Ron Pauls’, which is not unlike this observation:-
http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=3436
He looked very nervous. He probably never saw black people before, except in 50 Cent videos.
He would say that because Mormons are true racists because according to them, dark skin was a punishment for not obeying God.
“And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them.” -Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 5:21 (http://scriptures.lds.org/2_ne/5)
Fun video. Looks like Romney was having a good time and people were enjoying seeing him.
Romney has a terrific resume with his business successes, heading the Olympics and MA governorship. He’s the turn around expert that we need with our economy on a down turn. Romney is not just talk - he has experience and is prepared to lead our country.
FYI - My favorite blog for discussing Romney is electromneyin2008.com.
Romney is so obviously plastic, I just can’t get him defending the giant pharma companies during the N.H. debate out of my head. Him trying to tell us what nice people they are. Most of those companies spend more money advertising than they did in the research of a drug. Then there is him saying in Michigan that he would give the auto industry a $20 billion stimulus package. Yeah right giving the big three welfare because they would not do the right thing and build more efficient cars. I do not care if they are American. Why subsidize their disasterious polices. Let them sink or swim and maybe they will build responsible cars like the Japanese do. the Japanese car co. have plants all over this country yet they are not shutting them down.If these companies really cared about their employees, I now their policies would be very different but they do not to care because the gov. will bail them out. Its kind of funny Detroit is on one of the premier shipping lanes for this country. If the big companies did not get subsidies every time they mess up (this includes the banks and any other major industry) may be they would be competitive with the world. This kind of bull causes politicians like romney to expand gov. and our national dept especially when the executives walk away with huge bonuses(bonuses for ruining companies). All of this leads to inflation by the gov. and nothing changes. So mitt (who has done more business through bain capitol his co.with war profiteers),mc cain, clinton, huckabee(who changes his platform everyday),obama, guiliani are business as usual and if you want a major depression votes for these cronies. Let fox and the other main stream media outlets push their chosen candidates and all their low grade ,opinionated nonsense on you.I have done my research and the MSM can call him all the names they want because they are frightened by him . I am voting Ron Paul. Go ahead compare all the candidates from how they vote, where they get their money ,who will be their advisers, how much they stand by their word and the law of this land
(THE CONSTITUTION) and being the person who defends it even if they are alone in doing so.I would want a person who votes alone on principle and what is right.Rather than 500 people who compromise on whats popular or will get them the most votes. We need a principled leader for once. One who leads by example and all the other candidates have tried to emulate with their vain rhetoric. Like they say”IMITATION IS THE GREATEST FORM OF FLATTERY”. i WONDER WHO IS GOING TO STEAL VOTES FROM RON PAUL. Will it be huckabee, clinton, mccain, obama, guiliani, etc. Maybe after the vote they will get a peice of the pie chart that is blank where their name should be even through they get more votes than other candidates.maybe the will be missing in a write up of all the candidates even through they did better than the other candidates.I wonder which of them will run third party or when they will drop out because THEY ARE ALL LONG SHOTS MY FOCUS GROUPS SAY SO.
Are you pro-Mitt guys INSANE?!?
He’s set up a Hillary universal healthcare in Mass
Just because he was born with a f’n silver spoon in his mouth
it does not make him a ‘fiscal conservative’.
In fact, look at his spending record on the campaign trail.
If he didn’t write a 17 MILLION dollar personal check his campaign would be broke!!!
Of all the over-inflated, hyped up, bulls#it…
The nerve!
Mitt Romney IS John Kerry, maybe even in voting records.
Does it matter to anyone that he was once compared to being slightly to the LEFT of KENNEDY?!?

I am from Massachusetts - Mitt Romney was Hands-down, the best governor we have had in 20 years. He closed a 3 BILLION dollar defect (turned it into a 150 million dollar surplus), cracked down on corruption jailing Mob Boss family members in high position who government before him were too scared to touch. He fought almost weekly against the Gay Marriage activists, He cut taxes, streamlined inefficient government agencies,
I also had a chance to hear him address a small group of MBA students at Harvard in person, and all I can say is he is larger than life. He is a Leader’s Leader. I have heard leaders speak from all over the world, but I can count on one hand the leaders who move and shake the ground and truly know how to bring about change like Mitt Romney. This country would be foolish to not elect him to the presidency.
I love Mitt Romney. He did what no other politician in our lives has done in America: cover the uninsured without raising taxes, all with private industry and market efficiency….and the whole thing cut his states’ healthcare bill in ONE THIRD.
This isn’t Hillary-Care folks. It is covering those who TRULY are destitute (20% of the uninsured), while getting the rest into private healthcare plans (the other 80%).
That is just the beginning.
I am a huge Romney proponent. He has great ideas, and great capacity to get it done.
I am amazed at the polarization which is induced in any fora where Romney is discussed. I personally feel that he is the best prepared candidate to lead our government. Between his experience as an elected official, a businessman, and the person who saved the Olympic Games in Salt Lake, he is best suited to turn this country in the right direction. I have read positive and negative about this man and I believe him. His policy positions make sense and, to me, appear genuine. If someone refuses to ever change their mind, then what is the point of having one?
Fun to see Mitt out there. The guy is impressive, presidential. He is the only candidate, in my humble opinion, who has a lick of experience to lead the government of the United States. He has my vote, and the vote of most my friends at this point. I actually just sent his campaign a check for a $100. ROMNEY RISING!
MITT HAS detailed a very good Economic recovery package with very sound logic. He understands what will rescue and stimulate the economy. NO OTHER CANDIDATE has released such a plan - they are all too scared to get it wrong. Romney’s bail-out package was labeled by Forbes as ‘better, more substantial, more far reaching’ than President Bush’s plan.
I can see why he did not attend the Morgan State University debate geared towards African American concerns. The man is in a crowd of King Day observers and the only things he can think to say are lightweight slang he could have picked up from watching two minutes of BET. It is sad to see that such a man might be president of the USA.
RON PAUL 2008….HOPE FOR AMERICA
Many people outside Massachusetts aren’t aware that only Massachusetts has a communism based auto-insurance industry. Lobbyists supporting the auto insurance conglomerates in the 80’s corruptly convinced the liberal senate that EVERYONE pays the same rate for insurance. It is illegal to an insurance company to charge less for a good driving record. Bad drivers, illegal drivers are all subsidized by the rest of us. It is a Monopoly, and the rates are outrageous - highest in the industry.
ROMNEY fought tooth-and-nail to overturn this and WON. Dispite a liberal state senate on Beacon Hill HE DID IT. He broke the strong and corrupt socialism ring up to let the free-market rule. A HUGE VICTORY. He Said NO when the lobbyists came knocking, he did it.
Once ROMNEY was gone from office, the special interests and corrupt lobbyists for the insurance agencies came knocking and Deval Patrick overturned the ruling and WE HAVE COMMUNISM AGAIN!!!!!!!
SO DON’T TELL ME ROMNEY DOESN’T FIGHT AND WIN. DON’T TELL ME HIS SUCCESS IS THEORETICAL. THIS GUY IS A DOER, A FIGHTER, AND IS PASSIONATE ABOUT AMERICA AND MAKING AMERICA GREAT. MAKING IT SUCCEED.
