Romney Rally Attracts a Ron Paul Supporter

Southfield, MI

Governor Romney ran into an enthusiastic Ron Paul supporter at a rally here today. He was eagerly waving his sign trying to get Romney’s attention and he succeeded. Romney stopped his speech and pointed to the Paul supporter, “There’s a guy up here with a Ron Paul sign that’s very anxiously …” The presidential hopeful was interrupted by a booing crowd. He continued over the boos, “No it’s ok. Let him show the sign.”

He then made his pitch to the Paul supporter and the crowd:

“If any of you need a doctor, Ron Paul was a doctor — he’s got experience there. He’s got his own message. You are welcome to be here and put your sign up. But, if Michigan needs somebody who will fix the economy, you need somebody who’s worked in the economy, who’s had a job in the economy, who cares about Michigan and will get the job done.”

The revved up crowd erupted in cheers of Mitt, Mitt, Mitt!

Ron Paul was on the financial ways and means committee in congress and studied economics for 30 years. So who has the knowledge Ron or Mitt. Mitt has brokered some great deals as governer with Ratheon. A defense contractor who would hate to see the war end because they sell so many of those nice bunker busters. So who do you trust? Mitt or Ron? Ron never voted to raise taxes. Mitt likes to mandate health care. Is that what our economy needs? More socialized health care that gives monopolies to insurance companies and moves us away from free markets? Next time you see Mitt ask him about inflation and our monetary policy. Then ask Ron and verify all of the information with a little study and ask yourself who is right. I’m sure you will find Ron to be correct on monetary policy. Mitt would tell you nothing is wrong. Just go shopping.

Mitt Romney is the man who will get the job done. He has the experience, the knowledge, the leadership, and the morals to lead this nation. He is the man. Go Romney. We support you overseas.

Comment by Bill

I guess Mitt is too dumb to realize that Dr. Ron Paul’s job as a doctor qualifies as a job in the economy, not to mention his 5 years of military service overseas as a flight surgeon.

I’d much rather have a man with his unblemished record of supporting and defending the constitutuion than a skummy businessman who made millions off the backs of other people.

Mitt Rommney, the best candidate among those who buy their way into the election. Mr Mitt Rommney had to “donate” 17 million dollars of his own money into the campaign just to keep going, while Ron Paul is getting millions of dollars donated to him by good honest americans.

Romney is correct that he has the economic skills. My concern is that he is more of the same when it comes to all the other issues. He is my second choice.

Ron Paul stands for the greater bulk of what I deem important and has the record to follow through with it.

I vote for virtue; I vote for Ron Paul.

I don’t think I would use Ron Pauls experience on the financial ways and means comittee when we are looking at going into a recession. Paul believes people who earn tips should not be taxed, but believes those do not use tips as a source of income should. How are tips not earned income. And please do not tell me he does not believe in taxes. Also, get your facts straight on Romney as Govenor. Stop using talking points from far left web sites and actually do some research and then form a thought. I actually like some of the things Paul says so I am not a hater. I just actually do research and then form my thoughts. Romney is the only true conservative and it bothers everybody because they know it. He has proven success in all sectors he has stepped into.

Comment by David

The two most important issues we face today are the war and the economy. Both are tied to the Federal Reserve, and Ron Paul sees this as THE threat to American prosperity.

Inflation comes from an uneven change in the volume, say, when money is printed and given to a defense contractor. For the moment the contractor’s suppliers do not realize the money volume has changed, the recipient of the printed money experiences increased purchasing power. The workers end up receiving the wage in old money, but then are faced with prices in the new money after the vendors adjust to the new money supply. If the Fed injects more money into the system, which causes more spending, then you will have more money chasing the same number of goods which causes inflation!

Dr. Paul, much like Jefferson and Jackson, believe: The central bank is not only unconstitutional, but causes inflation by printing money from thin air. This causes the citizens to issue T-bills to support the created money and it is our children that pay for the treasury bills we issue to prop up the markets. Any money it releases to “curb market jitters over sub-prime woes” is a tax on unborn children who will be paying the interest on the debt we have accrued.

Oh and by the way, the whole principle and function of money has switched. Back in the day it was free for citizens to turn their gold and silver into money, which increased the money supply as a wealth to the people. Now green backs created out of thin air are loaned into circulation as debt against future production, not exchanged into circulation as production performed. Money has been switched from an evidence of wealth to an evidence of debt.

A legalized competing currency such as gold would be a great way to phase out the Fed’s monopoly money. I want to be perfectly clear on one of the implications. Wars will not be fought unless the majority of the American PEOPLE want to fight the war.

The choice is not between Mitt, John, Rudy, or Mike, the choice is a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ question: Do you or do you not want to restore America?

Comment by Ex-Fred fan

I was leaning toward Fred Thompson for lack of a better choice until I discovered Ron Paul three weeks ago. I really like his integrity and strong anti-illegal immigration stance. No anchor babies and no welfare for illegals sold me. Mit is just too liberal and seems like a flip-flopper. I would pick Mit over Rudy and cazy hothead McCain.

My suggestions:

1) Look at Ron Paul’s record as it is the record of actions that speak louder than any words. Oh, and make sure to include all 10 years of it.

2) Now present 1 single instance or position that exposes him as anything other than a Conservative and I will gladly reconsider somebody else as my candidate of choice.

3) Until then anything that any other candidate postulates is nothing but smoke, mirrors and meaningless words.

Seek the truth in all matters…

Willard Romney (Yes, that’s his real name) represents the quasi-socialist status quo. He is nothing more than a moral Bill Clinton, someone who’ll say anything to get elected. He has no grasp of the real economic picture that Dr. Paul does. Paul understands that the billions we’re spending on foreign policy and big government programs are bankrupting this nation - Romney does not. Remember that Romney tried to out-liberal Ted Kennedy in his 1994 Senate race, a year which saw Republicans take back Congress for the first time in 40 years. Romney is just more of the same and it shows, he has no real grassroots support and he’s loaning his campaign money from his own pocket.

Comment by Jesse

how do you know what the truth is unless you’ve experienced it for yourself?

go do some research for yourself.

ron paul has been speaking on america’s disastrous monetary policies for years. who else can make that claim?

(PressMediaWire) Washington, DC - The U.S. House of Representatives reports that Congressman Ron Paul has once again run his Congressional office in a frugal manner, and he will likely return tens of thousands of dollars to the Treasury once again this year. Preliminary estimates forwarded to Paul’s office indicate he has about $75,000 left in his account.

“Since my first year in Congress representing the 14th district I have managed my office in a frugal manner, instructing staff to provide the greatest possible service to the people of the 14th district at the least possible cost to taxpayers,” said Paul.

Paul’s Chief of Staff, Tom Lizardo, said “It is customary that several thousand dollars of expenditures are not calculated until after this year ends, but I am confident that tens of thousands will remain to be given back once the books finally close on 2007, just as Congressman Paul always instructs us to do.”

Lizardo said that the purchase of new equipment, staff changes and postal rate increases made it especially difficult to restrain spending this year. “Considering Congressman Paul’s efforts helped to land nearly $50,000,000 in appropriations for crucial projects in this part of Texas last year, we are most pleased that we were able to once again get the job done under budget.”

I am certain that if all those who don’t know who Ron Paul is and would be given a chance to “analyze” his stands and begin to understand why the barrel of gas is $100 each and is not “control” by the gas moguls but because the devaluation of the dollar…. people would be floored as they realize how the unwinnable war that is bankrupting our country (we are borrowing from China) will connect the dots and realize “duh!” -we must end the war right now and this is why! Please america-wake up and smell the coffee-!

Guiliani got like 2-3 million from 5,000 donors (big companies and max donations)…
Ron Paul is the only who offers HOPE!!

Hmmm. Hasn’t Ron Paul written like 5 books on the economy? Paul serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee (having been on the Western Hemisphere and the Asia and Pacific subcommittees); the Joint Economic Committee; and the Committee on Financial Services (as Ranking Member of the Domestic and International Monetary Policy, Trade and Technology subcommittee, and Vice-Chair of the Oversight and Investigations subcommittee)

Looks like he’s qualified to me!

You my friend are dumb, Ron Paul is not on the far left, why should anyone listen to a blanket statement from someone who does not even know the political spectrum? Im sorry but your flat out wrong on so many points… Including the taxation of tips which you completely misrepresented! Are people like this guy America’s average vote? If so I fear where this country is headed…

Your a sheep, check out the official voting record of your candidate Mitt Romney, then check out Ron Pauls, then you will probably want to visit http://www.ronpaul2008.com/ . As stated before I am not a Ron Paul hater, but please don’t use useless personal talking points towards Romney. Romney raised over 5 million in one day in Boston fundraiser a few days ago. So don’t tell me he is only using his own money to finance his campaign. As a matter of fact, he has raised the most money than all the canidates. Paul did a great job raising from the internet, but that is not enough to sustain him. Actually I find the spray painted signs pathetic. I actually like skiing TOM and I am sure you would be the one throwing a snow ball at me like you did at phony Sean Vanity. I know all you Paul supporters like the guy who is outside the norm, however, I believe Paul has been in congress for how long and look at what they have done? Nothing. Take a look at what Romney did with Bain Capitol or the once corrupt winter olympics just to name a few. If he states he would do the same to Washington from top to bottom by making it smaller and more effective, he has my vote.

Now, he is a man of honor in this race, and has earned my total respect. Shame McCain can’t do the same. Bravo Mr. Romney! Should RP lose the nomination, I will then consider you because you are a total gentleman in this horid race of basic instincts.

Check out the archives of the Republican debates and ask yourself whom you think has a better grasp of the economics (especially economic principles while playing by the rules of the US Constitution). You might notice that Ron Paul speaks in specifics concerning economic factors while Mr. Romney gives non-binding political answers. I do think that Mr. Romney likely has the 2nd best understanding of economics among the republican candidates, but he is the pupil and Dr. Paul is the teacher. You might ask Mr. Romney to challenge Dr. Paul to a debate on economics. I’m sure Dr. Paul would be happy to.

Also check out the Youtube video of Ron Paul address the chairman of the Fed, Ben Bernanke.

Incidentally, Dr. Paul is a scholar of Austrian Free-Market economics. Notice the word “FREE”. The re-instatement of our liberty awaits. Study the issues, study the platforms of the candidates, then vote your conscience.

I think Romney handled the situation with a Ron Paul supporter very well.

However, he was incorrect in his statements.

A small businessman as one in a medical practice knows as much about being “in” an economy as venture capitalist.

Ron Paul is an economics scholar and has been in Congress a long time. He has been a positive influence, but a lone voice at times. Now, the people are realizing that Paul is right about the economy. We want Ron Paul as president. We need sound money and we need less spending and taxes.

Ron Paul has been explaining the economic situation for his entire campaign. Romney has ignored the economy. Paul provided warnings and what he said has happened. Only now that people are saying something wrong is Romney responding. Either he doesn’t know his economics or he doesn’t care.

Armand Hammer was a businessman, but he definitely didn’t understand economics.

I do appreciate that Romney is starting to believe there is an economic problem. And I’m glad he recognizes that people see Paul as the expert. But I am definitely not convinced that Romney is any good at this.

Comment by Chris Taylor

Ron Paul has spent 20 years in Congress, largely voting to keeping the economy healthy by voting against excessive spending. In contrast, Romney presided over a growing govt. budget Mass. including a large healthcare entitlement. I don’t think Romney has the backbone to stand up to special interests, he has never shown that in the past. Paul has- his whole career. Paul is a trained economist who is well versed in the teachings of Von Mises and Rothbard. I would trust Paul far more so than Romney, not just due to Paul’s knowledge and experience on economic matters in the field of government, but also because of his integrity and willingness to not merely talk about constraining the size of government, but actually acting to do so.

Actually, Romney is the only Guy besides Tancredo I’ve heard him say anything good about. The difference is of course, the war and foreign policy and If you really want to dramatically cut taxes and spending, it has to be addressed. I certainly don’t think Romney is not a fiscal conservative, but nobody could ever say Paul is not. -He has a 100% rating on the index and is really trying to advance the ideas of limited government and State’s rights. However, I think Romney’s reaction to the guy with the sign (the dumb-dumb) was graceful and sporting and showed some genuine unscripted off the cuff skills (for once). Unfortunately, Ron’s been smeared so bad that some Republicans actually think he’s a liberal. Giuliani is the biggest liberal in the race and I can’t believe conservatives wouldn’t hate him. Thankfully, he’s loosing hard.

That being said, it’s too bad we’re going to end up with no conservatives and a McCain/Huckabee or Huckabee/McCain ticket. -Big Government/Liberal policy. A couple of Hillary’s without the blond wig.

Comment by President Romney 08

Your going to tell me Paul has a better grasp on the economy because of the books he has written. Why don’t you ready Romney’s autobiography. The reality is writing books does not make you wise. Actions are always louder than words. You gain experience from your successes and failures. How many companies has Ron Paul taken over that were in the depths of dispair and changed them to successful companies . Do you think the Romney was chosen by chance to turn around the olympics. He had to resign from Bain Capitol to make the turn around and pretty much do it for free. You would know that if you read his autobiography. What modern day CEO would do that when they had turned around a company and it was thriving. He did not even except the income he would have received as govenor. Has Ron Paul done that. Once again, it comes down with someone who has been successful in all sectors or someone who likes to write books. I do not think I would chose the latter.

Comment by Beverly

What a shame that all those Romney supporters don’t have a clue that Romney really doesn’t know how to fix the economy. He has very little experience with the huge issues that face our country today. Our country is on the verge of an economic breakdown, and if we don’t stop with the nation building, we will continue further down that path. Romney is not talking about ending any wars or reigning in the spending. He is not well educated like Ron Paul in economic matters. He’s a babe still succing his thumb, when you compare him to Ron Paul. I hope these Romney supporters will educate themselves. If they do, they will see the truth of what I am saying.

Comment by Jon

A very good list H.R.

It is one thing to be born into money and make more of it, not an easy task.

It is completely different though to understand the philosophies of how the economy runs. A lot of people use the economy because they know how to make money off it, they just don’t know the philosophical principals of it. Of all the candidates Ron Paul is the only one with a strong fundamental basis on different types of economies and the principals behind them.

I’m not using talking points from the left. I have researched Romney. And when he was a governor he brokered a deal for Raytheon.

http://nl.newsbank.com/nl-search/we/Archives?p_product=BG&p_theme=bg&p_action=search&p_maxdocs=200&p_topdoc=1&p_text_direct-0=0F9BD06A413843DB&p_field_direct-0=document_id&p_perpage=10&p_sort=YMD_date:D&s_trackval=GooglePM

He also receives donations from their employees. He also has family members that work for the company. http://www.fec.gov Follow the money. Research all the names on the donations list.

Besides all of that why would anyone vote for someone who spends his own money to become President. Do the math. President makes $400,000 per year x 8 years = 3.2 million. He has spent what 20 million to become President. Now if you don’t see the picture now nothing I tell you will mean much.

Mitt actually has real, live supporters? Or were these guys paid…?

I have not heard a single word out of Romney’s mouth on how he would fix the economy, he won’t even admit that we are in a Recession. Ron Paul was the only one on the dreaded Foxnews debate in South Carolina who came straight out and admitted we are are. Romney gives a give talk, but when you come from a background of taking over companies on the brink of bankruptcy and selling them off what do you get, you get someone only interested in themself and making a buck for themselves. God Bless the Ron Paul supporter for having the balls to be in the middle of all those neocons and having the courage to be the voice above the crowd. Mitt Romney is a great man, and has great family values but our country needs more than than, and that person would be Ron Paul.

Tess, I appreciate the your kind words. The reality is there is job growth when companies are turned around. Are you not for that. Are you not for capitalism when someone sells a company for profit. I sure hope that is not written in one on Pauls books.

Mitt Romney wants to continue the war indefinitely, stating publicly that he would not support a even a timetable for withdrawal. Putting aside for a minute the cost of human suffering, the thousands of U.S. lives lost and the tens of thousands of U.S. lives ruined forever and the untold suffering caused by Iraqis who were not our enemy until we went over and invaded their country, I just have one question for every candidate except for Ron Paul (who would begin to bring our troops home immediately, not just from Iraq, but everywhere else as well):

When this war commenced, were your taxes increased to pay for it? No? Well, then, are you aware of where the massive untold billions of dollars are coming from to finance the war? It comes down to if you are not willing to pass massive tax increases to finance these wars because you know the public would not tolerate them, then your solution is to just borrow the money and pass the incredible burden of paying for these escapades onto the next generation. I’m sure your children will thank you.

Only one candidate will balance the budget right away, by cutting spending — Ron Paul.

Only one candidate will even cut spending at all — Ron Paul. Some of the other Republicans say they will cut domestic spending a little, but will more than offset that will spending increases in the already bloated military budget.

Only one candidate understands what is causing the rapid rise in prices and the rapid decline of the dollar — Ron Paul.

America does need a doctor, and thankfully, one is running — Ron Paul.

Forgive me if I got this wrong, but did I hear Mitt Romney say in I believe it was the ABC New Hampshire debate, when asked about oil prices and being honest with Americans, something like … We should give the first person a billion (maybe million?) dollars for producing the first car that goes 100 miles per gallon?

I believe it was him.

Loremo=German car on market 2009 at about $13,000 US.

MPG=157

I think it is a real farce that we are led to believe that our cars cannot get the kind of mileage European cars have been getting for a long time now.

Ron Paul was the only one who gave a real answer to the question. It’s the Economy. It’s the dollar, it’s the war.

I wish people would just stop and listen to him. Really listen. He is telling you what you really need to know.

Wow, faux news mentioned the champion of the Constitution!

As Ron Paul says, we need to fix the declining value of the dollar and we can do this by allowing Federal Reserve to have a few competitors. Ron Paul will also push for a big tax cut - about one trillion dollars - by removing the federal personal income tax. This will leave more money in each of our pockets which will provide a huge boost to the economy.

People keep their money and their money stops declining in value is a formula for success. If there are any candidates other than Ron Paul interested in my vote, please support this formula for success.

Hey, really, even if you don’t like Dr. Paul, stop and think, ask your candidate to start answering the questions, not broad statement, some details. Then vote as you wish, but make them answer the hard questions with solid answers that make sense.

Romney 08,

You really shouldn’t be spending your time arguing with Paul supporters, and yes that guy shouldn’t be crashing a Romney gig. At least Paul is a fiscal conservative and like I said before, Romney’s the only guy he said anything good about.

“He did not even except the income he would have received as Governor. Has Ron Paul done that?”

-Ron refuses to participate in the Congressional Pension Plan because he feels it is too lucrative. He has never voted to increase Congressional pay and every year he returns a portion of his budget back to the Federal Government. -This year he’s scheduled to give back seventy five thousand bucks.

Sure I’m pulling for Ron, but while the real conservatives are fighting with each other, liberal big spenders are going to get the nod again…

Go Romney Go!!!

I admire a Man who doesn’t quit! Romney is heroic, because he doesn’t give up! That’s what we need to lead our great nation! Our country has faced much adversity lately and we need a leader who will fight for our freedom, build our economy, strengthen our border’s, enhance our foreign policies, improve our international affairs and enrich the lives of each and every individual US citizen. Romney is the man who can do it and not just talk about it! Romney stands for a country he obviously has a great and enduring passion for. He is a man of accountability and his code of ethics is unwavering. He doesn’t make excuses, he doesn’t justify mistakes…he fixes them and moves forward. Romney is a man of conviction and of great moral purpose. He is honest, intelligent, rational, objective and his productive achievement in all aspects of his life proves he is already a great leader and we would benefit immensely, if he were to be President of The United States of America! His record and experience shows logic and absolute reason and if I could use only one word to describe Mitt Romney, it would be “integrity!”

Go Romney Go!!

The horses have just left the starting gate, but when Mitt Romney turns for home, he’ll look back and wonder where the opponents are, like Secretariat did in the Belmont! And at the wire —
The White House in DC…no doubt it will be graced with the presence of the Romney’s!!!

Ron Paul’s positions have remained constant for decades while Romney’s change depending on what audience is is in front of. Say no to Mr Plastic, Say Yes to Dr. No.

KAte Lesley,

Please get your facts straight. Only an idiot would offer a billion dollors to the first car maker that would get 100 mpg. It was Huckabee who said it. Go look at the transcript if you don’t believe me, but don’t spout uninformed statements on a whim.

As for Ron Paul, he reminds me a lot of Marx. Not that they have the same ideas by any means but that it is based on a crazy ideal. Marx said, “Hey if everyone works as hard as they can for the benefit of everyone else and their is no corruption then lets all be communists.” Great in theory doesn’t work in reality.
Paul says, “Lets pull All foreign troops from all foreign lands and not spend any money on intelligence and everyone leave us alone for our economy to thrive under all of these great theories that will work if only everyone will participate.” Great in theory, not practicle. You might as welll support Huckabee’s fair tax. It is at least more plausible, which is saying someing, but still totally out there and never going to happen.

Wake up…you put a war mongerer in power for another 4 yrs then there won’t be anything left. We have already committed the mistake in 2004 and paying heavily for it. We do it again and we shall have nothing to live for except for a bankrupt America.

Less government + no war is the only solution. Cuz more of the same is Catastrophe!

Mitt Catastrophe or Ron Success?

I suspect that the only ones talking up Romney on here are Fox News’ monkeys and are on Fox’s pay roll.

I said this before, I believe. On Jay Leno’s show, Ron Paul defended Romney because he said a lot of people were against him on the basis of his religion which Dr. Paul didn’t think was right. However, you see how Romney reacts to Dr. Paul, don’t you? Ron Paul did not change his morals because he’s in a race against this man. Romney, however, would never reciprocate.

RON PAUL 2008!!!

“Your going to tell me Paul has a better grasp on the economy because of the books he has written. ”

No. Anyone can write books. Dr. Paul was able to predict to the year, the recession of 1987 back in 1983. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hMeNnbSqkk beginning at 2:13 )

Dr. Paul was able to get close enough because he studied Von Mises, knew his economic theory and knew the cause and effect of inflation. He also knows and knew back then that inflation is not “rising prices” as the government suggests with its phony CPI.

When you can find me Romney’s prediction of any economic future, get back to us. The only thing that Romney has done - and I don’t mean this as a belittlement - is to finance companies that became very successful.

That has nothing to do with the economy or economic knowledge. It means he is good at business but that doesn’t make him an economist or knowledgeable about what causes boom and bust business cycles.

If Romney truly was an economic scholar or even close, he’d be agreeing with Dr. Paul about the reasons our economy is in such poor shape right now. The people of Michigan will be doomed to more recessionary effects because Romney wants to continue the war and eventually bomb Iran, something we can no longer afford, economically or morally.

That’s right, doctors don’t work in the economy… I completely forgot that!!!

I’m a Romney supporter, but I really like Ron Paul as well. I have a very soft spot for libertarians because that was my mindset as a young person, and underneath it all, still is. After a number of years it seemed to me that holding out for the purist solution seemed to get nowhere, instead of at least taking a few steps in the right direction.
I don’t know that Romney “belittled” Ron Paul in this instance, as was mentioned above. It seemed to me that he was only pointing out that their respective expertise is in different realms.
Personally, I would love to see Mitt and Ron Paul as a team, in one order or the other. Mitt knows how to get things done, unquestionably. And Ron Paul has committment to principle that is unparalleled. It would be some great synergy, I think.

It’s sad that this is one of the only MSM stories about Ron Paul in the last day. Meanwhile, Mitt has a story about meeting his 1st grade teacher in the AP. (probably for a foreign policy tutoring session)

It’s no wonder that a Ron Paul supporter went to a Romney rally. He knows where the cameras are. If you don’t want to deal with things like this, then be fair to Ron Paul and share the airwaves.

We each seem to have our own major issue(s) that make their choice for President seem like the best one. My question is: Would someone tell me why we should NOT elect Ron Paul?

The rest, with Richardson out and Kucinich low in the polls, seem to be talking crazy talk about our military adventures in the Middle East. Additionally, no one else seems to understand the problems with the economy, inflation, and out of control deficit spending. Inflation is going to eat us alive, as it has already started to do so. Do you really believe that the REAL inflation rate last year, the rate that was used by the government for Social Security check increases this month, was 2.3%? Just look at the price of gold up 30% in 2007, now at an all time high and getting higher!

One can not talk about tax cuts without ALSO talking about cutting spending. We have a $9 trillion debt (double since 2000) that must be paid so we can afford Social Security and Medicare. The interest payments will go sky high when we begin to fight inflation with higher Federal Reserve bank rates.

And we must stop inflation or everyone’s life savings will go down the tubes, along with the middle class, like what has happened to the middle class in most countries south of our border. And do not forget National Health Insurance, which is coming down the tracks right at us, unless Republicans begin to understand the seriousness of runaway deficits and inflation. And start educating the country. A Democratic President will surely not fight inflation like Volcker and Reagan did!

Please vote Ron Paul and save the country from bankruptcy abroad and at home!

yes, i saw this. First of all, I dont think the “Ron Paul ” fan was even legit. Secondly, what kind of leader of the free world would interrupt his speech to point out this guy? I think it was a tactic to attack Paul. Good thing it was all on tape and made it to the media. Mitt Romney is more liberal than most of the dems. I cannot respect someone who has different beliefs than myself, but Romney doesnt have any beliefs. He says whatever he can to gain the support of whatever group happens to be in his interest. Dont you people remember the debate between him and Teddy Kennedy? He was bragging on being more liberal than Teddy. Look it up on youtube. I have yet to make a solid choice on President. I have voted Rep. all of my life. But I have to be honest .If it came down to Romney or Obama, I would vote Democrat for the first time in my life. This man just has no principals. Did you read about how he put his dog on top of his car and made a 14 hour trip? The poor dog, horrified, crapped all over the car and made Romneys kids scream His excuse… not enough room in the car. This man handles every problem as quickly as possible in a manner that is most convenient to himself, without regard to how it may impact others. I am amazed that anyone would not be able to see right through him. He is just so slimey. He is like a used car salesman, gameshow host wrapped in one. I also hate how he talks to other candidates and uses spear campaigns . He thinks he can buy the position with his millions. Very shady character.

Yep Mitt will get the job done alright,…. the dirty job of finally turning this free land in to a police state by propping up the warfare/welfare state untill the dollar crashes and we have to hand our country over to the WTO and NAFTA and we have no defense because you support gun control and have our National Guard and other military all over the world protecting international corporatist interests. You do not see ANY of his 5 sons “protecting freedom” in Iraq nor did he ever serve but he sure wants my son to fight in some worthless war in some arm pit of the earth.
Getting things done…. is not always good if it means violating the constitution and flip flopping on every issue until you find just the right lie to get your poll numbers in the range that you can try to buy the election.
Why would a guy spend 20 million dollars of his own money to get a job that only pays a few hundred grand a year?

Mitt can suck a fat one. Fox news is fuct. And any anti-pauls can blow me.

Seriously.

Ron Paul always looks and sounds like a total idiot. If we allowed a moron like him to be in charge——-well, God help us all.

I got to give it to Mitt, he has done a good job as a governor and entrepeneur and seems he was fiscally responsible (to me, he has been an excellent reader of the economic conditions and played them to his advantage). There is no denial of that from me.
However, we are now talking about the United States of America. We are talking about an enterprise with a balance sheet that is down in freaking CANDY RED by TRILLIONS, not millions.
Mitt, as Mike, Sept.11 Rudy, 100 years in Iraq McCain, Hillary, Obama or Edwards have not fundamentally addressed how are they going to bring us back from RED to BLACK. As time goes by, it is obvious that the economy will be tha main topic of this ellection. The only one who has been addressing this since day one is Dr. Ron Paul.
He understands SOUND economy, not making money by finding a loophole or taking advantage of your customers like NAFTA, where the only ones getting richer are the companies shifting jobs South of the border and leaving American workers on the welfare lines.
He understands we are at WAR, and we should be thrift and save, not keeping a lifestyle based on mortgaging our child’s future. He understand we must grow our GDP with productivty, not with increase consumption by means of loose lending practices that only make richer bankers.
And the list goes on and on. I only hope everybody goes out and vote tomorrow, for me there is only one choice: RON PAUL. As for Mitt, he should go back to Corporate America or to sell used cars.

First off, I would be willing to bet that the comment above by “Torqued”, is not at all from a Ron Paul supporter. Someone else trying to make us look bad, again. Why else would Fox let a comment with obscenities through it’s screeners?

Mitt keeps talking “buy American”, American this, American that. How much of the merchandise in HIS Staples stores are American made? How hard does he work to insure that American makers get a fair chance to sell their products in his stores. Staples is just another souped up Wal Mart for office supplies.

You might ask Mitt who it is that handles his security team and also advises him on foreign policy. In case you don’t know, it’s a small company called, Blackwater. Yes, the same Blackwater that are over paid government contractors/mercenaries in Iraq ($900 to $1400 a day on the taxpayers dime).

Mitt Romney who has stated he would not be willing to take nukes off of the table when asked about invading Iran and expanding the Iraq war. He was for the surge and expansion of Iraq military numbers, yet his own sons will never have to serve in the military. Their Mormon faith would allow them consciencetious objector status and they would not have to serve (if the draft is reinstated if we invade Iran, it’s a pretty sure bet. Recruitment numbers are extremely low).

Romney is just another big money, double talking politician. Same baloney, different person.

Now, will Fox allow my comments without the fowl language or is anti-war talk fowl language to these Fox folks?

Mr. Romney,
Yes, America badly needs a doctor and a sound economist. Ron Paul is a doctor and a great economist!

“He served on the House Banking committee, where he was a strong advocate for sound monetary policy and an outspoken critic of the Federal Reserve’s inflationary measures. He also was a key member of the Gold Commission, advocating a return to a gold standard for our currency. He was an unwavering advocate of pro-life and pro-family values. He consistently voted to lower or abolish federal taxes, spending, and regulation, and used his House seat to actively promote the return of government to its proper constitutional levels. In 1984, he voluntarily relinquished his House seat and returned to his medical practice.”

And yes, Dr. Paul got a message! A message of “Freedom, Prosperity and Peace” by way of Constitution. And if Michigan needs somebody who has a clear idea of how to resolve America’s current crisis; the economy, the extensive war in Iraq, the future war with Iran etc.
“WE NEED A DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE” to get our house in order. And he will not seek advice from his “lawyers” “BUT TO
