I read all the websites & I really appreciate that Huck's supporters aren't yelling in all-caps or
berating others--guess it's the trickle-down effect! Go Huckabee!!

You are right on, Betty Jo Hicks. I have been a Huckabee supporter from the start and the more I see him and understand his position on the issues, the more I like him. They tried to do another "gotcha" moment on Mike tonight with the Bible question, but he's too smart for them. He is a man of honor and integrity with a lot of good ideas - especially the Fair Tax and getting us energy independent ASAP. God Bless Mike Huckabee. We, the people, will not be bought. We don't want the establishment, we want better. Go Mike!!

Sam,
Its not that Huck's the only Christian in town... Last time I checked all of the candidates, both Republican and Democrat claim religious affiliation. But its the reality of a consistency between words and deeds. Huck's no saint, none of the candidates are, but Huck's life more consistently lines up with what he says his faith is about than the lives of all of the other candidates.

Would I vote for Huckabee just because he's the only evangelical in the race? In a nation in which around 74 million adults claim to self identify as evangelicals (that's roughly 1/3 of the adult population), perhaps not. I can get social values of a similar nature from McCain or Thompson. What I can only get from Huckabee is a realization that as Wall Street continues to export American jobs that the middle class is suffering in stagnation as the wealthiest Americans continue to make out like robber barons. I do not want to allow the Democrats the opportunity to do to America what Jimmy Carter did 30-odd years ago - spreading the wealth of the Middle class to the poor, but Wall Street's solution is no better because it takes money (in the form of jobs) from the middle class and redistributes it to the wealthy.

Wow! People are so mean. McCain is full of anger; Fred Thompson is full of himself; Guiliani is a woman chaser; Romney is a stiff shirt; Paul is weird. Whew now I feel better, too. Name calling is great for the soul, so that is why they must have been so hard on Huckabee tonight. He was, however, a gentleman and articulate in his answers. Plus he has IDEAS, not empty promises. Love him.

Why don't you ask Huckabee, between glasses of sweet tea and dishes of down-home corn pone, why neither he or his grown sons ever bothered to serve in the US military, and whether or not that will impact his ability to look out for those of us who DO THE FIGHTING AND DYING?

As for religion and those of you who have bought into Huck's game that he is the only Christian in town . . . John McCain is the one who did more than talk about Christian principles, when he lived up to this Biblical observation--"greater love hath no man than he who would lay down his life for another." How does cheap talk compare to service and sacrifice like that?

Kerry,
First of all, lose the caps. They are annoying. Then, say something intelligible. I quit reading at the first line because it's all gobbledygook.
