Huckabee’s Home Field Advantage

Myrtle Beach, SC-

Debate day has arrived. Mike Huckabee the former governor of  Arkansas, and presidential candidate is very comfortable with the location: South Carolina, first in the South primary.

One of his staffers described it to me in football terms: We had two away games (Iowa, and New Hampshire), she said, and now we’re back on our homefield.

Yesterday in Spartanburg his first event back from his third place finish in New Hampshire(Manchester feels like years ago now) he  predicted a win in South Carolina:” We want to do more than do well here. I want to make it clear. We’re going to win South Carolina.”

Last night at a raucous event with 1,500 people in attendance at Furman University, Huckabee said the road to the White House went through South Carolina. For Huckabee, South Carolina is a must-win stop on the train to 1600 Pennsylvania.

Huckabee also had two funny  moments during his event last night.

Huckabee was discussing how significant it is that in the United States protesters and hecklers have the right to speak out because it is a “celebration” of our system of liberties, and that in other countries that type of activity is met with bullets and other forms of violence, but in this country we’ll just “tase you, bro!”

Also, during the middle of his speech a whirring sound came on from overhead, then a movie screen started to be lowered. Huckabee played  it off pretty well.

Well, I don’t really want Huckabee as my Commander-in-Chief, but I sure as heck would vote for him for COMMEDIAN-IN-CHIEF!

It takes more than laughs to get things done in Washington!

Welcome to South Carolina, Gov. Huckabee. You’ll make a great Commander-in-Chief. Hopefully these wars will end and we can live in peace and won’t need a perpetual warrior to lead our country.

Huckabee is not a comedian, a preacher or many of the other tags that are afixed to him other than a level-headed, well-rounded, common sense political leader!

Huck’s Home Field Advantage didn’t do him any good tonight. Fred ate him alive!!

Romney/Thompson ‘08

Oh Yeah!!

You only think Fred did well because the focus group said he did. Until you heard that, what were you thinking? I do think he came alive tonight, but he was not impressive. Fred left the “work” to go play and make money in Hollywood. I do not see that as a strong and passionate commitment to serve his country. He couldn’t cut it when he was in office, obviously didn’t like it, so why would we want him to lead a country that he puts down the list on his priorities. I do not understand his marriage to this younger woman either. He bothers me.
I think Mike Huckabee is the ONLY candidate that can be trusted to do what he says he believes is right.

Too little too late for Thompson.

As President you need to be on ALL the time…it’s not enough to just have a good day every once in a while (or in Thompson’s case, once)

Huckabee IS NOT TRUST WORTHY.

Huckabee had 14 ethnical violations brought against him relating to finances as governor. Shortly before announcing his candidacy for the President of the United States, Huckabee ordered 83 computer harddrives and 4 servers be destroyed during his transition phase in leaving office. That’s what crooked CEO would do when they leave a company.

He raised taxes 21 times and granted clemency to 1033
convicted felons, 12 murderers and numerous rapists. Try to improve his tough on crime image with Chuck Norris. (Give me a break! If they were selling weight lose machine it would be more convincing!)

He has a 2 1/2 year of religious higher education and as a minister selling religion for a living with people’s donation for 12 years. How can anyone believe this man can revive our economy?

Mike Huckabee’s position on all the issues are brilliant, honest, and trustworthy. I believe the most important qualitification for the commander-in-chief is the heart for the people of America. Could he (or she) have the influencial voice for those who who don’t have, as well as for those who have? I believe Mike Huckabee would be a fair and just president for all Americans.

ibelievehuckabee, Time can give him any title they want. I noticed Time isn’t based in Arkansas and he was an awful gov. Yea we were stuck with him because we couldn’t get any one to run against him until his last term. He came doggone close to loosin to a woman who openly said she didn’t want the job. Never did campaign and I couldn’t tell ya what she stood for. But I voted for her and so did thousands of voters. For a woman who didn’t want the job she sure was breathin at his bs’n heals. I voted for her, any one by that point was better than Mike. Can’t remember her name, but it really wasn’t that important. We knew it wasn’t Huckabee. Sayin around here was vote for anyone not endin in huckabee. So don’t vote blindly listenin to him, check out the truth about what kind of governor he really was. Arkansas Democrat Gazzette and no it’s not a democratic paper, just the only one in Little Rock. My state is still tryin to recover and heaven help us if he were to be Pres. and the leg or congress went against him. He do the same thing he did here. Throw a fit and shut our gov.

Huckabee is awesome. He represents a segment of Americans that follow truth, that true Christianity is not only about caring about one’s self in this world but about others. He has my vote not because he is perfect, but because he recognizes he isn’t. He has my vote not because he can make people laugh, but because I know his policies won’t make people cry. God bless Huckabee and even if he doesn’t win the White House, may people learn what true Christians are — people that care about the poor, people that care of those that are hurting.

I’ve been sending links to my friends and relatives, and an amazing number of them have
told me they are already on the Huckabee bus! Some have said they’ve never contributed to
a campaign before this—others have never heard of him before the debates, and still don’t know
much about him–but they like what they see. The more I learn about the candidates the better Huck looks! Go Huckabee 08!!!
