Obama’s crowds runneth over

Since Senator Obama arrived in New Hampshire following his Iowa victory, he has attracted large crowds, eager to take a peak. On the 5th, the traffic getting to the Obama event at Nashua’s North High School was backed up for miles and the line to get in the gymnasium door extended down the sidewalk, through the parking lot.

When the gymnasium was filled to capacity, the campaign opened up an adjacent gym for those who couldn’t get inside. Hundreds of displaced voters sat on the floor and on rolled up gymnastics mats and listened to the senator over speakers. One of those voters, Sheryl Farrar, told me afterwords that it was actually better than being at the main show because, “you don’t have all the hype and everything going on around you, so you’re just using those one set of senses instead of everything else,” she said with a smile. Farrar is still undecided between Senators McCain and Obama.

At a event in Salem yesterday, the fire marshals shut down the auditorium where the event was held just minutes after they opened the doors. As soon as the room was filled to capacity, the marshals shut it down and wouldn’t let anyone inside - including staffers and traveling press. We were sent to a near-by “overflow room,” one of two set up for voters to watch the candidate on television. And here you thought New Hampshire voters were spoiled…

Last night in Keene, NH, the candidate spoke to about 700 in the cafeteria of a local high school. Meanwhile, about 1000 people denied entrance sat in a near-by auditorium, watching Obama on a projection screen. After the main speech, Obama popped in to say hello to the (larger) crowd next door after his speech. Some in the press wondered why the event wasn’t originally scheduled in the larger room.

At all but three of his New Hampshire events, there has been a need to accommodate those who could not get in - even if that just means setting up speakers outside of event sites. At two stops today, Obama addressed crowds waiting outside in the snow, blocked from entering event sites by fire marshals. I guess snow and cold is not the worst case scenario - several supporters who were turned away from Obama’s Rochester event were found hiding in a closet inside a Rochester auditorium, hoping to hear Obama’s (muffled) message. They were escorted out by police.

Communications director Robert Gibbs lamented the campaign has to turn away voters, but admitted it was “a good problem to have.”

Here is a montage of Obama’s speeches to his overflow crowds.

I am very disturbed by a few notable African-Americans endorsing Clinton. Yes, Bill did wonderfull things for the African-American community, but Blacks should stand behind their own. This has been a trend for history to report, the black community has never supported a representative from their own community and that bothers me. This young man has everything Dr. King once ‘DREAMED’ of and I believe he would have stood behind Obama. What’s next. Who can look into their grandchildrens eyes and say that I didnt vote to put the first black man in office.

Yeah, well I’m disturbed at all these Obama supporters! Our country is going to be ignorant enough to put a muslim in the white house! How soon we all forget about 9-11!! Obama has a muslim heritage and theres no getting away from that…this will certainly come back to haunt us in the future!!

A starry-eyed, eloquent but unsubstantive individual who is of the Muslim persuasion just cannot move me. It’s pitiable, though, that so many of the teenagers and college kids are falling for his hot air. I recall a statement made back in the day: When you’re young, it’s cool and “right” to be liberal, but if you are still a liberal by age thirty-five, then you have REMAINED a fool.

The media on both the Republican and the Democratic side of this election are shocked the the American people do not care that Obama is black! This “new” generation of voters have taken the power away from ALL the people in Washington including ALL the news media that love to stir the race pot. If we as a country come together and over come the race issues then we stand together against the same old promise breaking and strangle hold on our country and that is a definite threat against the people that are bleeding this country dry. With the people fighting and divided we fall easily. Hillary Clinton can’t understand why no one gets her? I think what she doesn’t get is that a lot of us see though her. We don’t believe her and that is not going to allow her to be king. Obama is saying we need to fix this country and Clinton is saying I will do it my way. I hope the American youth continue this great revolution that they have started because the last generation has done nothing but bleed the country dry. The people that run all the media events had better quit trying to ride the tails of this corrupt government and do some restructuring on their own. Otherwise they will to see how tired this new generation is of their little fingers in the pot. Change is not only needed is critical to this country for this country’s survival. Obama is an American, we don’t care that he is a black American. Fox, CNN, get over it!

Hello….OBAMA IS A MUSLIM! Wake up people and do your homework! Do we want a “Hussein” in our white house? Where is your loyalty to the families and victims of 9-11? How soon we all forget!!

Each and everyone of you Obama “Hussein” supporters are a disgrace to this country!!!!

WAke up people has everyone lost their minds. We need change, but not from someone name Hussein. Please, I don’t care if they are black or white, male or female we need experience and not a Muslim.

What’s needed is a candidate with the following attributes:

1) American historical perspective
2) unapologetic patriotism
3) executive leadership ability
4) Federalist vision
5) unquestionable loyalty to the the United States of America and the Constitution

Anything less is unacceptable.

THE VIDO WAS POOR. HOWEVER, AFTER READING SOME OF THE STUF HERE, I GOT TO SAY: SEN. OBAMA DESERVES THE SAME RESPECT AS ANYONE ELSE, IF HE HAS EARNED THAT HONOR. FIRST, I HAVE NOT HEARD HIM SAY WHAT HIS SPIRITUAL BELIEFS ARE. HIS DAUGHTER DID SAY”MERRY CHRISTMAS” ON THE AD RAN BEFORE CHRISTMAS, SO, I DON’T KNOW. SECOND, THE MAN REFERS TO HIMSELF AS AN “AMERICAN”. BY THE WAY, WHERE’S ALL THE RESENTFUL, RACIST RHETORIC OFTENED HEARD BY AL AND JESSE, OR ANY NAS OR AKON? I DON’T KNOW.
THE FACT IS: SEN. OBAMA IS NOT FULL OF THE HATRED OF MANY BLACK RACISTS, WHETHER IT’S JESSE, OR SOME LOW LIFE RAPPER THAT SPEWS VULGARITIES OUT THE CARS OF MANY YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN. THEY, AT LEAST HAVE ENOUGH BASS SO THAT, HOPEFULLY, IS ALL THAT’S HEARD. BACK TO THE CASE AT HAND; HE’S 46 Y/O; HE IS A VERY INTELLIGENT, SUCCESSFUL MEMBER OF OUR SENATE. HOWEVER, IT IS NOT HIS TIME. HE IS YOUNG; NO REAL EXPERIENCE IN FOREIGN AFFAIRS.
IF HE WERE TO BE ELECTED, THE NAACP, BLACK HISTORY MONTH, AND PREJUDICE MAY NO LONGER HAVE A NEED TO EXIST. RMcD MACON,GA 51Y/O WHITE SOUTHERN MAN; AMERICAN!!!

I thought for some strange reason that I would venture over to this side to see what conservatives had to say, I’m an independent you see. Yet the argument I get against Obama aren’t qualms with his politics but his name…Wow. I could have sworn that he was an American and that Americans died in 9/11 and that some of those Americans that died in 9/11 were Muslims. I suppose those Americans don’t count to some of these posters. I find the word ignorance to aptly used seeing as it must be ignorance to cause so many people to discredit a man because of his name not his stance. Thanks for helping me make up my mind.

In my precint last week over 147 people cast vosts for Senator Obama (with 288 total) .. 61 for Ms. Clinton and I think 67 for Edwards…. but we only had 4 caucus delegate votes and 2 went to Obama and 1 each for Clinton and Edwards. The CAUCUS did not truly reflect the real vote. I will not be surprised if he gets 45% today in New Hampshire. I was proud to be a part of this history. I, 52 year old mom, was (until last week) a registered Republican (voted for Bush- twice!!) and dragged my 19 year old daughter with me… to see him the day before our caucus. There had to be at least 30-40 volunteer workers on top of his real staff. I changed my registration to Caucus for Obama.

By the way Scarlet Johhansen– spoke to the college kids….her simple point was that during the next 8 years many of the kids her age will be getting out of college, getting married, trying to buy a home, so that is why it is important to this young generation!!!

Other notable charismatics who fooled or still attempt to fool their populations:

Napolean
Hitler
Mussolini
Kadhafi
Kruschev
Hussein
Jesse Jackson
Al Sharpton

Obama may be an American citizen, but the depth of his loyalty to God (not Allah) and country is untested.

To all the Morons…who think that Obama is a Muslim. Do me a favor. When the General Election happens. Stay home…watch Nascar, drink a few beers and leave the important things like government to people who have something more between their ears then a few pebbles. He is a Christian. Has stated so many times. In his books (oh, ok…well that explains it…you cant read), On TV and anywhere he is asked that same question.
And even if he was a Muslim…does that make him want to blow up things, kill people that aren’t just like him. ITS THE EXTREMIST THAT WANT THAT. Hmmm. And I guess no time in the Christian history did they EVER do that. Right? Nooo. Christians never killed anyone because they didn’t believe in their religion. Ever hear of the
Crusades…

So you people out there who believe he is a Muslim…and that you just CANT have one of “those” in the white house. The same people who just HAD to vote BUSH in again, and again…because he was there man.

STAY HOME…DONT VOTE. MOST LIKELY WOULDN’T BE ABLE TO READ THE VOTING MACHINE ANYWAY!!!

“He’s a Muslim! He’s got a Muslim name! He’s got Muslim heritage!” ……

He’s probably more Christian than any other democratic candidate. Go get your head out of your ass and read a newspaper or actually watch the candidate talk about religion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vW1UYFmtyrA
